Chris was shown standing back in the mess hall, with an evil smile on his face. "Last time on Battle of the Bs! Our contestants raced around the island in a clash of stamina and smarts, strutting their way to the end. With Jasmine conquering her fears, and a dynamic duo of Lightning and Sky, the Brawny Bisons managed to grab a win and Lindsey managed to just clutch safety from Shawn leaving him under hot water as well as Scarlett. But in a turn of events, the original campers and Scarlett piggybacked off of Cameron's punishment vote leading to the Bubble Boy getting the boot. Who will be the next to be shot away? Find out on Total! Drama! BATTLE OF THE BS."
The camera opens up to a familiar site of the island. Rushing through the dock, and foliage it stops at a random clearing where DJ could be seen.
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine.
He's shown meditating with a flock of birds resting on him, and squirrels and other creatures surrounding him. Feeling a disturbance, he opened his eyes to see a mutant flying fish latched onto his nose, causing him to scream and run out of frame. Scarlett witnessing this, made a note in a journal of hers before the camera zoomed away.
You guys are on my mind,
The camera fell onto a lake in the middle of the island. Paddling on a boat, Dakota and Sam are seen chatting towards each other. A dark shadow appeared underneath their boat, and a tentacle emerged from the water, sending the two lovers flying off in a bout of screams.
You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer is clear to see,
The camera continued on its journey to the beach where a little gym area could be seen. Jo was seen doing pull-ups on some monkey bars, while Eva was squatting with barbels. Every now and then, Eva could be seen attempting to make some conversation with Jo, but Jo simply ignored her. Noah, witnessing this interaction face-palmed, clearly seeing wireless earphones in the jockette's ears.
I wanna be famous
The next scene shown was inside the mess hall. Heather was cooking up some sort of dish, and took a spoonful and tried it. Immediately overwhelmed by the taste, she spat it all out onto an unfortunate LeShawna who just walked in through the doors. Heather looked at her, mouth opened as LeShawna glared her down, doing a quick 180.
I wanna live close to the sun,
LeShawna started walking towards the restrooms, past the two cabins, as the camera took a pitstop inside one of them. Duncan was shown carving something on the wall of the cabin, while Rodney was asleep in his bed. Rodney fell out of the bed, startling Duncan who threw his knife an inch away from his face. Rodney simply reached out and held the knife as if it was the hand of some girl. Duncan sighed, as the camera went back out through the window, catching a glimpse of his carving. A heart with the initials D + C.
Well pack your bags, cause I've already won,
The camera next came to some sort of building setup for a game show. On the stage, Sky and Lightning were each doing tricks, Sky jumped into the splits, while Lightning fell into a death drop. Lindsey, who was watching from the judging stand, clapped her hands excitedly and held up a sign that read '10'.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way,
The next area shown was just behind the stadium where trees towered above another circular arena. This had two pedestals with Courtney battling Topher on the other, whacking at each other with foam sticks. Jasmine and Shawn watched from the tree nearby, laughing at Topher as he got knocked off and clutched at his face in mercy.
I'll get there one day,
Zooming back down, through a hole in that circular area, was a cave system where the next few contestants could be found. Cameron was hanging onto B, petrified as B used BEV to light up the cave system. The two boys found a crystal mine filled with crystals and were about to cheer with joy until they realised they were synthetic. Sugar on the other hand darted past them and tried plucking them out causing the cave system to shake and the boys to look at each with fear.
Cause I wanna be famous,
The final area shown was inside the mess hall. Anne Maria sat between Justin and Alejandro, both of whom were competing with each other for her approval. The woman gushed at both of their flirts before she noticed the time and sprayed her hairspray all over the table, causing the two boys to burst into a coughing fit. Anne Maria, now unimpressed, rolled her eyes and walked away leaving the two to splutter away.
As the harmonies played, all the contestants could be seen doing a variety of tricks and competing in different ways. Lindsey gave a model walk down the runway, LeShawna danced away, Scarlett buzzed to answer a question, B was seen tweaking at some sort of go-kart, Jo was seen throwing a javelin and Rodney was shown lifting rocks for Heather to examine the underneath of. The day shifted to night as the twenty-four campers all whistled along as Chris and Chef did a tap routine by the campfire.
Jasmine anxiously watched from the door of the McClean spa hotel, with DJ and Sky accompanying her. Others, like Eva, Jo and Lightning had also come down to see who had gotten the boot, as the crisp night air blew over.
"Jaz, you gotta not doubt the dude," DJ comforted, rubbing her back.
"I know, I know…" Jasmine sighed. "But with the likes of Scarlett on that team I have no clue what to expect."
"I don't blame you," Sky added, shuddering at the thought. "I'd be nervous too, but Shawn has beat Scarlett before. Nothing is stopping him from doing it again."
Jasmine nodded, but it was clear that the only thoughts in her head were to do with Shawn's safety. Lightning also looked as if he had no thoughts in his head, but there was a specific camper stuck in his mind too.
"Brightening! Are you even awake right now," Jo yelled at him, causing the jock to jump.
"SHA-YES!"
"Everyone shut up!" Eva roared out, catching the eyes of an amused Sky and DJ. "They're here now."
Silence took over the crowd, as the first few figures emerged from the path. A shocked B could be seen, silent as ever, but confused for the most part. Sam followed sheepishly, as the two boys made their way towards their actual cabin without even a word said to the onlooking Brawns.
The next group of campers to emerge were the original island campers. Noah, Courtney and Heather all had a mixture of both confusion and relief, as their plan to eliminate Cameron had ended up working.
—
"Listen," Noah said, as deadpan as he always was. "The maths added up, and the plan worked. But it actually worked? And now we have the numbers for next time… Things are looking up for me this time."
—
As the three walked to their cabin, not having much to say to the Bisons, Jasmine held her breath. There were only Cameron, Shawn and Scarlett left to appear and her anxiety was only getting worse the more people got revealed.
It was safe to say her heart fell when the next figure to walk past her was a certain red-headed villain. Shooting a wicked smile at Jasmine, Scarlett followed the rest of her team with nothing to say to the Bisons. Sky glanced at Jasmine, sharing a worried look with DJ.
—
"Shawn can't have been the first boot…" Sky lamented. "Can he have been?"
—
"Boo," A voice whispered from behind the five brawn members, causing them all, even Jo, to jump.
Jasmine whipped around, catching sight of a familiar beanie and sighed a breath of relief. "Shawn, thank god." She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around the boy, with the zombie-nut in question giving her a quick peck on the cheek.
Jo, satisfied at Cameron's elimination, made a u-turn straight back into their hotel to enjoy what time she had left before the challenge. Lightning quickly jogged after her.
"Man, Lightning did not expect that brainiac to be voted out so damn soon," Lightning commented, catching up and placing his arms behind his head relaxing.
"Their loss," Jo replied, not overthinking the elimination. "He was easily the smartest dude on the team."
—
Lightning looked to the camera with a confused look in his eyes; one that had a thought behind them rather than his usual empty mind. "This sha-sucks!" He finally muttered. "What's-his-face beat Lightning in the finale before and now he's what, first out? The Lightning was hoping he could help him with all this strategy stuff." The Uber jock crossed his arms, with a pout, before cracking a smile and flexing. "I guess Pops was right. Muscle over mind matter… or something."
—
Sky and DJ also decided to enter back into the hotel, letting Jasmine and Shawn have their own private moment.
"Hey, you were pretty nervous too?" DJ commented, nudging the gymnast causing her to laugh.
"At the end of the day, we're still the newbies," Sky giggled. "It doesn't help that he's a winner and Scarlett and all that. The odds weren't exactly in his favour."
DJ shrugged, causing Sky to laugh again. The Brickhouse joined her in her giggles.
"What do you think they're up to?"
"God I really hope they aren't shacking it up in a tree somewhere, although knowing Shawn…"
The two shared a look at each other, before bursting into another fit of laughter, their mood a lot more uplifted than it was while waiting.
Little to their knowledge there was no sign of either of Sky's old castmates left in front of the hotel. Just two discarded hats.
Anne-Marie let out a sigh after BEV informed her that Cameron ended up getting the boot. While she didn't want her teammates to catch her vulnerability, she had gotten close with the boy during their original season, and she didn't have that many friends from the show she could rely on. Noticing the girl standing outside on her own, out of all people it was Lindsey who came outside to check on her, with LeShawna standing watch from the door like a mother.
"Are you okay… uh... Marinara?" The bimbo asked, while severely getting the girl's name wrong, compassionate nonetheless. Unfortunately for her, Anne Maria's Italian blood didn't take so kindly to be referred to as some type of sauce.
"Ay, just cuz' ya girl is Italian means that her name's a food?" She yelled, frustrated at both the elimination and the situation she was in. This ended up causing the bimbo to flinch back and LeShawna to step forward, ready to combat in case things escalated. "Just… beat it."
Lindsey, valuing her life, heeded her word retreating into the girls' cabin where Sugar was trying to convince Dakota of her singing prowess.
"Craptry!" She exclaimed, causing Dakota to blink twice in confusion.
"I don't get it..? They're like not the same at all?"
"Awh shucks."
LeShawna rolled her eyes, retreating to one of the beds leaving Lindsey to start up a conversation with the heiress. Sugar pouted, glaring at Lindsey before also retreating to her bed.
—
"I am telling you that Lindsey is trouble," Sugar said angrily, crossing her arms. "She's like that princess freak from last time, but somehow even worse."
—
The boys from the team were divided, to say the least. With there being three bunks in each of these cabins, each boy had decided to divide and claim one for their own. This however did not stop Topher from sneaking into Justin's bed to discuss a matter of elimination.
"Are we still on for LeShawna?" He whispered to an annoyed Justin, who was laying down with a sleep mask on.
"No. Alejandro," He furiously whispered back. "Now leave me alone, I need my beauty sleep."
Topher rolled his eyes, leaving the boy while also going to bed. Neither of them noticed the scene outside, of Anne Maria getting knocked unconscious, leaving only a smudged makeup cloth behind her, lingering with the smell of hairspray and chloroform.
Even those on the brawns, while rested and rejuvenated, were definitely unprepared for Chef Hatchet's cooking the morning after. The three teams opted to sit at different tables, discussing every topic under the moon, the most notable being the food and strategy.
"I would honestly quit to get away from this food," Dakota groaned, before yelping and narrowly dodging a knife thrown from the kitchen vicinity. "I mean mmm, yummy?"
LeShawna rolled her eyes, raising her middle finger towards Chef who chose not to attack the brute of a girl. "Dakota you don't gotta lie. This is shit."
"I'm sorry for interrupting you beautiful ladies, but have you seen Anne Maria?" Alejandro asked, causing the three friends to exchange glances.
"Actually, now that you mention it, I haven't seen her since that argument last night," Lindsey confessed, guilt encompassing her mind.
"I'm sure she chose to hang out with some of the brains last night," LeShawna added, in a not-so-reassuring voice.
Alejandro cursed silently under his breath, turning to Dakota and winking at her instead. The girl blushed at the interaction, but shook her head and left the table to go talk to Sam.
The brawns table was a little more accepting of the food, as Lightning and Rodney in particular scoffed it down graciously. Duncan, disgusted, to say the least, slid his plate over to Rodney letting him munch on his leftovers.
"Man, this must be packed with protein," Lightning yelled out, followed by a belch. "He's gotta sha-run it off."
Without a chance for anyone else to get a word in, he rushed out of the mess hall.
—
"Look, Lightning is obnoxious, abrasive, rash and stubborn," Jo listed off the top of her head. "But he's a damn good athlete, and I need him to cooperate with me if I want to make it far. Don't pretend you haven't seen the other two sets of campers getting involved in cahoots with each other. I'm on the outs, and Brightening is my only hope… Ugh, I'm screwed."
—
DJ and Sky were also making light conversation, as they picked away at the food that was placed in front of them.
"Did you end up seeing Jasmine last night after we went back in?" The brickhouse asked, shovelling his spoon into the gruel and being unable to retrieve it.
"Actually no… I don't know where she ended up disappearing too."
"Well, she was with a certain someone…"
"Young love," Sky added before the two burst into a fit of giggles.
The brains table was divided yet again. They were all in silence, not really focussing on what happened tonight. B felt especially alone, with Shawn nowhere to be seen, Cameron eliminated and Sam occupied with Dakota.
Heather rubbed her eyes lazily, being met with another kick from under the table. Before she could comment, her eyes met the attacker, Noah. With his eyes, he gestured to the Queen Bee and Courtney that they needed a private discussion outside which Scarlett took privy to.
—
"I have decided to align myself with some of the most strategic players this game has seen," Scarlett commented, pushing her glasses up her nose. "I must remain aware of all the interactions that occur in this game, yet the twist should aid me in outclassing them."
—
"Good morning campers," Chris announced, sauntering into the mess hall decked out in a detective costume. Lindsey looked up at him with a smile, admiring the suit, while Courtney was ecstatic about what she hoped was a mystery challenge.
"Today's challenge is a mystery challenge. There are notes scattered around the island which will give you hints about three contestants who are not cast on this season. You'll have to figure out who the contestants are, with the last hint being where they are being hidden."
"Got it," Justin said, turning to his team, "So I-"
"I WAS NOT FINISHED!" Chris yelled, throwing his magnifying glass at the model. "Anyways, as I was saying, you may have noticed that some of your teammates are missing. It's also a challenge to avoid being kidnapped. The winning team will be the first to figure out who their camper is and track down their missing teammates. The team going to elimination will be the last team to do so. Kapeesh?"
Met with mostly nods, Chris gave a menacing smile. "Your first clue is underneath your team's table. Go!"
The three teams immediately started getting to work. LeShawna gathered them around and started reading out loud.
"The best was done and I came alive, even with that awful cliff dive," LeShawna read. "Okay guys, we gotta make it to the cliff where we dived off in the first-ever episode."
Justin nodded, gathering his two allies. "It must be an Island camper then," He deduced, as the members started running towards the cliff.
The other two teams read out their hints as well, a little more puzzle in one team's case.
"Underestimated with my talent I always was, with a rumour spread just because," Courtney read out, thinking about it very slowly. "I'm not sure who this could refer to, but we gotta head to the stage,"
With the approval of her teammates, the brains started running off as well.
"Popularity is what I was surrounded by, water challenge where left a guy," Rodney read out stumped.
"Let's just head to the beach and find a second clue there," Sky stated, immediately racing towards the beach with the others in tow.
Before they realised it, Sam and Dakota were the last left in the mess hall, emerging from underneath the Brains table.
"I really have missed you, Sam," Dakota said softly, kissing the gamer again.
"Mhmm," Sam moaned, closing her eyes and smiling. He quickly came to a realisation though. "Wait where is everyone?"
He opened his eyes to see no one next to him, just a pink scrunchie. He yelled in shock and turned to run before also getting nabbed.
"One, two, three, four… five? What the fuck, where are Dakota and Sugar." LeShawna cursed as they reached the cliff. Sugar herself had been nabbed for being too slow to keep up with the others, as the Beauties were down to five members.
"I'm afraid we'll have to progress without her," Alejandro muttered, looking around at the top of the cliff for a sign of a hint.
"What's that glittery thing in the water?" Lindsey commented, peering down the cliffside. Joined swiftly by the rest of her team, they all looked down to see what looked like a treasure chest.
"Lindsey, you're a genius!" LeShawna exclaimed, cheering. "That must be where the clue is, let's get to diving. I'll go last to make sure we all make it."
Topher opened his mouth to say something, but immediately shut it, and opted to say something else. "Alejandro? Do you want to go first with me?"
Alejandro, surprised at the offer, smiled before nodding. "Si mi amor."
—
"I'm no Sierra but you could call me a superfan," Topher confessed, crossing his legs in the confessional. "This partnership with Sugar and Justin is anything but stable, and Alejandro is a formidable competitor. Not too shabby looking either."
—
The two boys dove off the cliff, with Alejandro securing the chest for the team. Giving the three above a thumbs up, the original island campers looked at each other.
"Well girls, I'll go next," Justin said, winking at them and being met with a blank stare from LeShawna and Lindsey running and diving off the cliff. Justin scowled before following the bimbo leaving LeShawna on her own.
"Alright, numbers disadvantage besides at least we're making good ti-" She spoke, before getting thrust into a sack, knocking the sista out of the game.
"What's taking her so long," Justin scowled, with the four members waiting on the beach with their chest.
"I don't mean to sound insensitive, but I would presume that LeShawna has been knocked out of this game," Topher explained, glancing at the other three. Lindsey was slightly disheartened whereas Alejandro seemed to be scheming.
"Never mind that, we must progress if we want a chance at winning that spa hotel," Alejandro announced, volunteering as the new leader without LeShawna. He cracked open the chest where a note was left wrapped up. "I made it far but was sniped out of the game, with my team losing non-stop, elimination was in our name… Presumably a Team Victory member? Excluding those who have returned that leaves us with Harold, Bridgette and Ezekiel."
"Down to three people after two hints? That rocks!" Lindsey yelled out. "Campfire here we come."
"Lindsey we're winning," Justin cried out, met with a facepalm from the other two guys on the team.
The Bisons had arrived at the beach, still with six members still standing after they presumed Lightning was lost. They were scattered around the beach, digging around for any sort of hint around.
"Reminds you of all-stars, ay Jo?" Duncan yelled out, burying away at one area. Out of nowhere, a pair of hands grabbed the delinquent, pulling him into the sand with a hissing voice.
"We don't speak of All-Stars!"
Rodney was working away by himself, pulling out a chest. "Guys I think I found the clue."
"Did anyone hear Dud-can say something," Jo asked, regrouping with everyone. Looking around, she groaned through gritted teeth. "Well, we're down to five. Read it out Lover Boy."
"Me?" Rodney asked, confused, before being met with a glare. He yelped, and Eva grabbed the note out of the chest and quickly read it out.
"I guess you could call me an early-out, despite what I've accomplished, with a rigged elimination, and falling out of a plane. What the fuck does that mean."
"I'm actually stumped, is it someone from the World Tour?" DJ asked. "But even if it is, where do we get our next hint, we can't exactly hitch a lift to the airport."
"If I may add something-'' Sky started, before being interrupted.
"Let's just split up, have half of us go to the dock and the other half go to wherever you did that fear challenge on Island. I have a feeling it's Izzy." Jo commanded.
"But-"
"Okay, Jo, Deej and I will head to where they had that plane on the Island. Sky, Rodney you're both on the dock." Eva added, as the jockette and bodybuilder grabbed DJ and started bolting it down.
Sky sighed looking at Rodney. "Uhm... S-sky…?"
"What is it, Rodney? You better make it quick, I guess we have to head to the dock,"
"I.. was just thinking…" Rodney stuttered. "I.. no you... We.. you had… idea... Thoughts?"
Sky raised an eyebrow, before sighing again. "My idea? I have a feeling it's based on Pahkitew Island. We all dove out of a plane in our premiere. I was thinking we could head to that clearing we ran past on our way here. Symbolic of our premiere again y'know."
Too flustered to speak, Rodney simply flashed a thumbs up, causing Sky to grin. "Let's head that way instead."
The Bats had reached their target without much stress, but they quickly realised Sam was nowhere to be seen. Scarlett rolled her eyes and started examining the stage, while B took his time to check around the seats. Courtney was about to head to the curtains when Noah tapped her on the back. She turned to face the shorter boy and saw a miffed Heather next to him too.
"What is it Noah and make it snappy, I want to win this challenge," Heather whispered rapidly causing the boy to roll his eyes.
"All I want to say is that we need to eliminate Scarlett sooner rather than later. She thinks she's running this alliance, and while yes, it may have knocked Cameron out, she's a threat."
Courtney nodded. "I'd like to wait a small bit rather than head into a three-on-three, so let's put a pin in this conversation for the moment. Hey B, find anything?" Courtney called out, met with silence.
Courtney looked at the two, who both shrugged. "Scarlett, what about you?"
Another resounding silence was met with them as the three grew increasingly worried. Noah made his way up the stairs, only to find a broken sound machine. He shook his head at the other two, as Heather checked the stage to find yellow threads and a chest.
"Shit! We're down to just us three?" Courtney lamented as Heather cracked open the chest.
—
"I may have not called out that I found the chest to eavesdrop," Scarlett confessed. "However I did not calculate they would actively be hunting us down like that. From what I did hear, my job has become a lot harder."
—
"I clashed with a villain which got me the boot, but I returned for another season where I almost made it to France. I feel like they're making this too easy," Heather scoffed.
"Wait, but that doesn't explain where we have to go," Courtney responded, thinking.
"Well, our challenge in France was to put together a statue, and didn't you do something like that on al- another season?" Noah asked.
"You're so right. To the beach," Heather exclaimed.
The trio from the Bisons had made it to the area in front of the cabins, with confusion surrounding them. DJ took the opportunity to look around the bushes for the hint, while Eva approached Jo who was looking under the cabins.
"Hey Jo," She called over, causing the girl to poke her head out from under the cabin.
"Did you find it AngrEva," She asked.
Eva's face contorted from looking from friendship to sheer rage. "WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?"
Jo pulled herself out of her search zone and dusted herself off. "I call you AngrEva. Sorry, would you prefer Little Miss Rageaholic?"
Eva scowled, ready to throw a punch but instead swiftly turned to go look for DJ. Jo smirked, satisfied with herself and who she saw as the first boot, and went back under the cabin to continue searching. Well, she would have continued searching if the Napper didn't grab her and pulled her under the cabin, causing the Brawns to lose another member.
Eva looked through the bushes for DJ, annoyed to say the least. "Where is he?" She yelled, kicking at the bush. She sighed and sat herself down in the cabin thinking. "Okay what would DJ do… He would sit down… take a deep breath… and relax."
Eva took her meditation pose and sat down trying her best to calm down. It did work… maybe a little too well, as when she reopened her eyes, she found herself in a cage with the rest of her team.
—
"Well drat."
—
The Butterflies had reached the dock of shame and were alarmed at the new elimination machine. They hoped they wouldn't have to deal with that, as they all started searching around. Alejandro opted to check out the podiums with the aid of Topher, while Justin and Lindsey decided to have a look around in the voting confessional.
"Oh my God, Justin I have the chest," Lindsey exclaimed, pulling out the chest from the confessional and looking back to see no Justin around. She furrowed her eyebrows, before shaking her head and carrying the chest towards the two guys back on the podium.
"Guys I have it!" Lindsey beckoned to the two as they joined. Lindsey opened up the chest and read out the clue left inside.
"Ginger hair that the women fell for, and I made it to the final four. Know who I am? Report to Chef to confirm," Lindsey read out, glancing at the other two.
"Harold then right?" Alejandro asked, with Lindsey shrugging. He started making his way to the mess hall to confirm, while Topher stood back for a second to think about it.
"Wait!" He called out, causing Lindsey to pause, and turn around. Alejandro was out of earshot, and as far as Topher was concerned out of the game.
"Let's stick together, however, I don't think it's Harold. I feel like it's too obvious…"
"So.."
"Well, we know it's a ginger who was in a relationship. The only gingers are Rodney, Izzy, Scott and Harold. Rodney is on this season so he's out. Izzy never made the final four. So we still have Scott as an option, and all the clues apply to him too. He had Courtney after him, he did the cliff dive on a certain season just before mine, and he was on a losing streak on Revenge of the Island because he was throwing challenges."
"I get it... I think."
"Let's go with Harold first, and if that's wrong, we'll have Scott as a backup."
Lindsey nodded, and the two of them started running towards the mess hall to win the challenge.
Sky found out her theory was correct, as she and Rodney made it to the clearing where there was a chest just waiting for them there.
"I knew I should have been more vocal," Sky lamented, as she opened the chest to read out the clue. "They call me the villain when I'm the nice one, after all, she was always just my plus one. Know who I am? Report to Chef to confirm,"
"It must be the gorgeous Amy." Rodney sighed, thinking about her with a smile on his face. Sky gave him a look and shook him out of it.
"Calm down boy, we got a challenge to win," Sky finished, as the two of them started sprinting towards the mess hall to confirm it.
The three Bats made it to a clean beach. Someone must have patched up all the holes after the Bisons got their clue.
"Let's get to digging," Courtney said, thrusting herself into digging around.
Heather and Noah both reluctantly followed suit, as they focussed on different areas. Noah paused his digging for a second, to catch his breath observing that his two teammates were still standing. He nodded, getting ready to get back to digging, but alas he was sniped from the competition before he was given the chance.
Heather furiously shovelled sand out of the way, scratching off what was wood. "Courtney, Noah! I found it!"
Courtney sprinted over to Queen Bee, looking around for Noah. Disheartened at the loss of another member, Courtney gestured for the other girl to start reading.
"I made it very far as the runner-up, missing out on the prize wasn't the end of my luck. Know who I am? Report to Chef to confirm. It's gotta be Beth." Heather claimed. Courtney nodded in approval as the two girls started their sprint towards the mess hall as well.
—
"I won't lie," Heather confessed. "While I haven't exactly had the best or worst track record with Courtney, it was honestly kind of fun to work with her today. She's changed somehow."
—
All six remaining campers burst through the doors, listing their names to Chef.
"Amy," Sky yelled, getting approval from Chef.
"Beth," Courtney yelled out at the same time, also getting the same confirmation.
"Harold," Topher guessed, not as confident as the other two, and his apprehension was confirmed by Chef as he gestured a thumbs down. The lights flashed off in the mess hall, and a scream followed.
"What's going on?" Rodney cried out, as the lights flickered on, with one member of the group missing.
"You four can head to the crystal mines to set free your teammates and claim victory. Lindsey, you're on your own now so I hope you have the right name now." Chef explained.
Rodney and Sky gave each other a confused look, while Heather grabbed Courtney's arm and led her to the cave system from the prior episode. Sky, taking the hint, grabbed Rodney and burst into a sprint after the pair, dragging the farmer along. Lindsey blinked and sat down for a second in the mess hall.
"What did Topher say again…" She spoke to herself, mustering up her memory. "Ginger… final four… Revenge of the Island… Is it Scott?" She recalled, gingerly asking Chef. With a stern glare, Chef gave her the thumbs up of approval and Lindsey was shocked yet proud of herself. With the memory of mine from last week, she knew she'd have a shortcut by going in through the top rather than through the caves… The only question was did she remember where that was?
"They had to put us in separate cages," Jasmine muttered, looking at Shawn who blew her a kiss.
"I know what you mean," Sam said, sharing the same longing for Dakota.
"They had to put us in cages in general?" Anne Marie yelled back, grabbing the cage handles. "This face was not put together from sleeping in cages."
"Brings me back to prison," Duncan muttered, lounging back in his cage. While not apparent, he was proud of Rodney for not being locked up yet.
"LET GO OF ME!" A voice rang out, as the campers looked on to see which team would have the severe numbers disadvantage. By the sound of the more masculine voice, the Bats weren't as stressed.
With Topher emerging and being thrust into the Beauty cage, LeShawna cursed. While she loved her, she wasn't sure if Lindsey would be able to pull this off on her own, and with the trio of Sugar, Topher and Justin scheming away she was also scared for her safety on her team. She shook herself out of it though and looked onward hoping for the blonde to appear.
B was also worried. BEV had been destroyed when he was eliminated from the game, so he had lost his only chance to speak freely to the other campers. He was simply hoping that his mute conversation skills would manage to work in this brainy team as otherwise he was screwed.
"Yoohoo," A voice rang out from above them. Lindsey smiled and waved, climbing down the ladder from the opening and the Beauty team burst into a flurry of cheers. She walked over to a buzzer, and hit it, causing the cage that was holding the Beauty team to open and her teammates to run out and embrace her.
"Lindsey you did it!" LeShawna cheered, as they all celebrated their win. The other two teams however grew increasingly worried as they were down to Sky and Rodney against Heather and Courtney.
—
"I'm afraid that Lindsey has reverted into her Admiral Lindsey from Action," Justin said, slowly thinking in his head. "This does not pose well for me, and I need to make sure she's swift to go. After Alejandro."
—
"Well done Lindsey, you have won the challenge for the Beautiful Butterflies leading to your team winning the Spa Hotel for the night, as well as safety from the elimination." Chris congratulated, appearing in the cave. "And my intel tells me the other two pairs are traversing the caves in order to get here… And one team is almost here."
The other campers looked onward in suspense, especially those on the Brawny Bisons and the Brainy Bats. A figure emerged from the caves and it was revealed to be…

Rodney!
Rodney huffed in panic, as he slammed his fist down on the buzzer. As the Bison's cage opened up releasing them to high-five him, in the case of DJ and Jo, to downright hug him in the case of Jasmine, causing him to blush.
"Dude, I don't know how you managed that," Duncan laughed, clapping him on the back.
"I... Memory... Love," He stuttered, causing Duncan to roll his eyes, but his mood was still chipper from their safety.
Courtney and Heather appeared straight after, both panting but seeing the two groups talking about their wins, they knew it was over. Heather cursed, kicking a rock and looked over at Courtney who was silent, and scarily composed.
"Good job guys," Courtney finally spoke. "Heather, do you want to hit the button to let our team down?" She asked, causing her partner to go from ogling at her to her jaw-dropping in shock. She complied, although confused and their team came down both frustrated and disappointed.
Sky ran in swiftly after, confused but hopeful. "Did we win? Rodney and I split up in the caves, hoping one of us would make it before the other guys."
"We didn't win, but Lover Boy over here got us second place," Jo exclaimed, gesturing for her to join them. Sky pumped her fist in the air, running towards Rodney and leaping onto him.
"Let's go Rodney!" She yelled, causing Jasmine and DJ to burst out in laughter. Lightning was confused about why the image of Sky on Rodney hurt, or what this feeling was but he decided to repress it for the moment to celebrate.
"Well. The Brawny Bisons, you are safe for another week." Chris continued after the interactions had played out. "Bats… I gotta say I'm disappointed. You had one of the easiest hints, yet you still lost in a challenge that was made for you."
"Can it McLean," Shawn clapped back, not impressed.
"Anyways. Shawn, for that and being captured before the challenge even began, you will receive the punishment vote. Heather, for figuring out that your hint was referring to Beth and hitting the button, you will be immune from tonight's vote. You are all dismissed."
The beauty team headed out of the mine first, excited to enjoy the luxury of the Spa Hotel, while the brawns team followed quickly after, not really in the mood to stay in the mines any longer. This didn't stop Jasmine from giving Shawn a good luck kiss, and for Dakota to do the same for Sam.
The brains were left in the cave, all giving each other looks. Scarlett stared into Shawn, while Shawn met her glare. He then took off with B and Sam following.
"Congratulations first and foremost to Heather for her immunity," Scarlett said, addressing her allies left in the cave. "I feel as if it is the right timing to eliminate Shawn, as one of the greater threats on this team, as well as his relationship with Jasmine posing a threat in general. That should suffice, as I have other things to prepare for the elimination ceremony."
Scarlett left quickly from the mines, with a certain member of her team she was interested in tracking down. Noah looked towards Courtney and Heather, as they both were a bit alarmed at how much Scarlett had planned ahead.
"You know, this could be the potential right time to vote off Scarlett. It'd only take one vote to tie it up."
"Noah, it's too risky." Courtney fought back. She sighed, before speaking again. "Let's just go along with her plan for this elimination, we can always come back to this conversation."
Heather nodded in agreement. "Courtney's right. We've all played this game before, there's no reason to get a tie or give Scarlett a reason to betray us. It's better to just follow her plan for the moment."
Noah shrugged in response. "As long as it isn't me, I'm happy enough. But I am warning you, she's too big of a danger to keep around for that much longer."
Yet again, unaware to the three of the campers, Scarlett had chosen to eavesdrop yet again.
—
"Like putty in my hands," Scarlett muttered in the confessional, leaving to find her target for the night.
—
As the three campers divided and walked back to the cabin, Heather choosing to walk with Courtney, Noah found himself stopped by the calling of his name.
"Psst, Noah." A voice whispered out, coming from above him.
"God?" Noah asked sarcastically, turning to face Shawn who was hanging out up in a tree.
"Very funny. Listen, I wanted to ask you about the vote tonight. I convinced the other boys to vote for Scarlett, I was hoping to get you involved so we could have an alliance of our own."
"I can't lie and say the thought of that wasn't on my mind already."
"Scarlett's a threat and a danger. You're smart enough to know this. Even if we can pull a tie, I can knock her out and we'll have a ticket to the top four of the team at least."
"That's not exactly good enough for me," Noah said, stopping the boy. "See with my alliance, I have a ticket to the top three of the team which is almost a guaranteed merge. Can you do better than that?"
"I can promise that you'll be the last person I vote for," Shawn pleaded, causing the boy to nod.
"I'll think about it,"
"So that's why you came back?" Courtney asked Heather in surprise.
"Yeah, I don't know, I just miss being that popular girl I was before the show. People are going around wherever I go using Heather as an insult. I don't have any friends from the show. I don't have any friends in general." Heather expanded, remembering her life regretfully.
"At least you have Alejandro?" Courtney said, trying to cheer the girl up a small bit. The name itself made Heather laugh.
"Alejandro? Please, he's a great boyfriend but we both know he puts this game over me."
"I mean he did save you that one time," Courtney defended, causing the girl to laugh again. "I don't get you wrong though. I feel the same way you do too. I want to redeem my character, make friends, and just have fun the way I did back on Island."
"So that's why you gave me immunity. At least we have each other now," Heather said, laughing softly.
"Public enemy number one and public enemy number two," Courtney continued, sending them into a barrel of laughter again.
"We'll work on it together. Although isn't it ironic we're working with the biggest villain of all time?"
"I mean we could change it," Courtney continued, meeting the other girl's eye.
B on the other hand also found himself beckoned to a secretive spot by Scarlett in order to discuss strategy.
"B, I understand that BEV has been damaged beyond repair, rendering you mute for the rest of the game," Scarlett spoke, rather rapidly. With a curt nod from B, she continued. "I was hoping to strike an alliance offer with you. I understand that you may have been informed to vote for me in tonight's elimination ceremony, which I will not blame you for if you choose to continue to act upon it. However, by my calculations, Shawn will be shot away, which leaves you as a sitting duck."
B raised his eyebrow at that remark, wondering what the point was of this offer. Her sureness in the elimination was also alarming, as Shawn had informed him and Sam that he'd figure out the voting before the ceremony.
"You may be aware that I have my own alliance, however, I myself am aware of how I remain an outlier in their clique. I am choosing to work with you in order to both protect my spot in the game, as well as yours. I am not pressuring you into a decision, yet I wished to have at least made this offer."
B nodded in response and satisfied with her work, Scarlett left to prepare herself for the elimination ceremony.
The beauty team was doing great. Sugar, Dakota, Lindsey and Anne Maria chose to have a bit of a spa day, while Topher and Alejandro took the opportunity to lounge back in the hot tub. LeShawna was lounging in the living area, snacking on some crisps while she cycled through the television.
"Mind if I join you?" Justin asked, taking a seat next to her.
"You've already gone and done it," LeShawna responded stoically, wanting to relax and clear her mind while she had the chance.
"I just wanted to get your opinion on voting ou-"
"Nope!" LeShawna interrupted, finding a sitcom she enjoyed and putting on a random episode from it.
"I haven't even said the name?" Justin interjected.
"Justin, listen to me. We are living it up right now. We have immunity, we are in a building made for relaxing. Save all the strategy talk for when we need it, 'cause right now Mama's watching TV."
Justin crossed his arms, pouting like a child, but chose to stay silent and watch the show with the sista.
"I'm sorry for getting you eliminated Alejandro," Topher said, looking at the Spaniard in the hot tub.
"Mi Amor, I heard your warning. I was just nabbed before I had the chance to regroup with you."
"Still, we almost lost and I still got the camper wrong."
"Now I was the one who said it was Harold. You were the one who deduced that it was Scott, you just went along with my idea." Alejandro said, moving closer to the other boy and wrapping his arm around Topher. "What say you and I work together,"
"I'd love yo- that!"
—
"Looks like my charms may not be working on the women, but the men still are addicted to me," Alejandro smirked in the confessional.
—
"All according to plan," Topher said grinning. "Although I can't help that I do get flustered around that man."
—
The brawns team was relaxing the best they could in the cabin. It was no spa hotel, but it was no campfire ceremony either. Eva was with DJ, outside the cabin for a much-needed therapy class after the events that had transpired earlier.
"So she called you one of her nicknames and you blew up?" DJ asked, trying to understand what needed this urgent anger management class.
"No! I almost blew up," Eva defended sheepishly, before groaning. "I'm a mess DJ, I don't know what to do."
"Hey at least you calmed yourself down before anything could happen," DJ reassured, although Eva wasn't happy.
"I was trying to make a friend, and instead I almost chewed her head off."
"Let's take things slow for now."
While the two of them talked outside, the girls' side of the cabin was a lot more mixed in their emotions.
"God, what if he goes this time?" Jasmine panicked, with Sky sitting on top of one of the bunks, swinging her legs slowly.
"He survived one already, there's nothing stopping him from surviving another one," Sky said, although the girl was in a spiral already.
"What's with this team and needing therapy," Jo scoffed, stretching her legs in the room. "Gotta say though Sky, you are a formidable athlete. Did you end up finding the clue at the dock? It was Izzy right."
"Actually, no. I went with my gut with Rodney's advice and we found the clue in the clearing we ran past in the race. It was Amy from our season."
"Why didn't you say something then?!" Jo exclaimed abrasively, causing Sky to shoot a deadpan look at the camera.
—
"Am I the loudest in the room? Easily no." Sky said in the confessional. "But I have never been timid. I don't know why I let Jo and Eva walk all over me back then when I knew I was right."
—
Lightning stormed into the guys' side of the cabin in a bit of rage glancing around, only seeing Duncan and Rodney. Rodney was telling Duncan about what had happened after he was nabbed in the challenge, and the progress he had made with Sky.
Hearing this, Lightning felt that feeling he had felt before and grabbed a pillow, releasing a scream into it. Duncan glanced at him, alarmed and confused.
"Dude, everything okay?"
"NO! The Lightning needs DJ or any advice."
"Fire away my man," Rodney added. "Duncan's been giving a lot of advice with talking to girls. It's even working, like with Sky."
Lightning looked at both of them, before screaming into the pillow again and storming off. Duncan shrugged, before continuing his lesson with Rodney.
—
"If Rodney can make progress with talking to girls, maybe I can too with talking to one girl in particular," Duncan said, scratching his head. "Maybe Lightning is right and I need DJ's advice."
—
As the sun set on the island, the campers were once again at the elimination ceremony. With the machine seemingly adapted for the seven remaining campers, there was a mix of nervous faces as well as scheming ones as no one knew how this elimination would play out.
"Brainy Bats. I did not think I would see you again this soon, especially with how targeted this challenge was for you."
"Yeah yeah, we get it McClean. Get on with it," Heather heckled, causing Chris to shake his head.
"Fine. I don't have to explain anything to you since somehow only by episode three you already know how it works. Cast away."
—
"It was easy enough to calculate. I'm certain you'll be leaving us tonight," Scarlett said menacingly, hitting a button reading SHAWN.
—
"You may have gotten lucky last time, but I know that your evil ways are out of here today," Shawn said, clearly showing off that he had hit SCARLETT.
—
Heather looked at the seven buttons in front of her, thinking slowly. "Courtney is right about needing to rebrand ourselves as villains. However, is it too risky to do it right away… Oh, I hope I'm right about this," She lamented before hitting another button.
—
"Now all eight votes have been registered, and Cameron's punishment vote included, I can now announce the votes. Oh, how interesting."
"Firstly, Heather is safe with her immunity for tonight," Chris announced, as Heather slid down to the dock, to join Chris in onlooking the rest of the campers.
"And I can say with confidence only two of you have received votes tonight. It's pretty obvious who, so…" Chris continued, hitting a couple of buttons. Sam, Noah, B and Courtney all were sent down the chute to join Heather in looking at the last two standing.
The two podiums had their walls come down with the two rivals eyeing each other up and down. They both remained stone-faced, despite the elimination oncoming and the perilous shaking of the stands, as they listened attentively to Chris.
"Shawn. You're a former winner, as well as someone who messed up big time today. Scarlett. I don't blame them, you're a scary gal. But one of you will not continue, and with five votes that camper is…

Shawn!"
Shawn's jaw dropped at hearing that he'd be the one getting eliminated. He quickly yelled out. "Tell Jasmine I love her, and if you know what's best you'll vote out that she-devil before she- AAAHHHH!"
The pedestal shot him up in the air, fading into the distance as his screams lowered to silence. Scarlett let herself down, before nodding at the rest of the campers, with emphasis on B and Noah, before leaving the dock. The other brains followed behind her wordlessly.
"And there goes former finalist Shawn. It's funny how the only way you can go from there is down, and down hard. With twenty-two campers left standing, who will be the next to go? Will Lightning figure out that what he's feeling is jealousy? Will Topher kiss Alejandro? And will anybody get the Butterflies out of the spa hotel? Find out next time on Total! Drama! Battle of the Bs!"
—
Shawn landed in the pool similar to Cameron from last time. "This sucks! Scarlett got the better of me? She's such a… a… a witch! At least I can support Jasmine from the sidelines now, I really did not want to compete against her at all."

I won't even lie, I did churn basically this whole chapter over the span of two days. I just got a wave of motivation and honestly, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm not going to make any promises with my upload schedule since I'm back to college in a week, but I am having fun just writing away here.
Firstly, this story hasn't really been getting the traction I'd hoped it would. I'm hoping I can change that with a cover for the story, as well as changing the description of the story to describe it more of a Brains VS Brawns VS Beauty as I do understand that Battle of the Bs isn't the clearest of a title. I am hoping on doing an SYOC as a sequel/season eight to my universe of the franchise and I won't lie when I say actively reviewing and reading the story while I'm updating it will definitely keep you in my mind when I do start casting for it.
Let's discuss the chapter though, and the elimination. Shawn was actually never intended to be the second boot of the story, but he was always intended to be the second boot of the Brainy Bats. I wanted to set up Scarlett as this big bad threat, with Shawn being the only one privy to her moves as he had witnessed them firsthand (with the other members of the top four from Pahkitew) but he was always going to be an early out with his relationship with Jasmine and winner status. I do actually like the character, but there are more prevalent characters I'm enjoying writing more.
Something I'm going to have to do actually is rework my elimination order. I have a lot of interactions, more than I thought I did and I'm definitely enjoying some of the more on-the-spur-of-the-moment character interactions than the ones I have preplanned. So I am interested in hearing about elimination orders as this story is very fluid in the way I am writing.
I am still interested in hearing any thoughts at all. It was disheartening, to say the least, to get no reviews on the last chapter, as I am a writer and feedback is the best way for me to perfect my craft. I still am very confident in my interaction writing, but the next chapter should test my action writing properly.
Till next time, Space signing out.
