The Unclear Warning

3rd Person POV

The Pack has been united after Garth married Lilly and Kate got together Humphrey. The only problem was the amount of caribou in the area was getting low because of the constant need to hunt. Ever since the packs were united the number of mouths to feed was through the roof. "You know I don't think I ever told you how glad I was that you came back instead of getting on the train." Kate said smiling at Humphrey "I was kinda already thinking that." he said letting out a small laugh. "Ugh, your such an idiot you know" Kate said playfully and gently punching him on the shoulder "Your idiot" He says hugging her, she returns his hug "Well as much as I would like to stay here and cuddle I have to go and make some arrangements with the Alphas to see what we are going to do about the caribou problem". Kate says laying her head on his shoulder "Alright then but remember your the one missing out" he jokes. Kate begins her walk to the Alpha den while Humphrey starts to wander around.

Kate's POV

I was starting to make out the shape of the Alpha den when I was suddenly stopped. "Oh, s-sorry" a voice said after bumping into me. I shook my head to catch my balance and looked up to see a wolf I've never seen before, "May I ask who are you?" I said confused "Oh yeah sorry the names Seth." He said scratching his head, although I felt guilty I had to admit to myself this "Seth" was kinda cute and had a body more on the muscular side. "Well, Seth what are you doing here?" I asked still confused as to why I have never seen him before. "I came to warn the packs of Jasper of an incoming threat" he said looking at me with worried eyes "What threat?" I asked curiously. He looked around and began to walk away from me with a face I made out to be confused. "Um, Seth? Are you ok?" I asked putting my paw on his shoulder "Oh I'm sorry I just-nevermind I must be on my way now" he said walking away. "Huh...weird guy" I muttered underneath my breath. I made my way into the Alpha den and was greeted by my parents and a couple of friends that were at the meeting. "Dad, you have any idea of who that was" I asked pointing to the direction Seth went "What are you pointing at?" He said looking out the den curious. "Winston!" a voice yelled in the den "get in here and start the meeting this is urgent information!" Toni yelled tapping his paw on the ground. "As we know the amount of caribou in the valley and the plains have depleted by a massive amount" My dad said "We must figure out a solution" I said hoping someone would have an idea. "What if we moved the pack" Toni suggested, the room went quiet "No there must be another way this is our home we can't just leave it" I say with an angered voice. "You may have to leave either way" a voice calls out, I look over and saw Seth standing there with a caribou in his mouth and scratch marks all over. "And who the hell are you" Toni says sitting up to make himself look bigger. "Who I am does not matter what does is how good your packs protective system is, which by the looks of it not very good because I'm here" Seth said smiling as he picks up the caribou and threw it in the room, Hutch rose from his spot and began to walk over to Seth, "Listen I don't know who you are and frankly I don't care but if you think you can just storm in here and start criticizing everything we have worked on you got another thing coming." Hutch says sitting right in front of him "What is it with you people and threats, I think I have been threatened by every pack but I do have to say if you want to look intimidating maybe send someone a little more well scary" Seth says looking Hutch up and down. "You wanna go tough guy" Hutch says standing up and growling "I don't think the question is if I want to fight but maybe think about what could happen to you me personally I have already studied what is going to happen, I'll take you down in about 4 seconds and big boy over there will charge me right after once I take him down the two-pack leaders would come at me from both sides and I would jump over them sending them crashing into each other, although I don't know what you would do." he says looking at me as we all just sit there shocked and confused. "Listen I don't want any trouble I came here to warn you guys but if you don't want my warning I'll be leaving" he said walking away.

Seth's POV

I walk out of the Alpha den and I question if I could actually take all of them on at the same time but don't let that thought get too far for health reasons. I run into something while in my train of thought "What the-" I say looking up "Oh my bad man I was just passing through to find Kate" An unknown wolf said to me "You haven't happened to see her have you" he asks me "Um buddy I don't even know who that is" I say rubbing the top of my head "How do you not know who Kate is" he says tilting his head and putting on a rather ugly face "Well for starters I'm not from here" I say beginning to walk past him "Wait what do you mean you're not from around here?" he says looking at me with the same ugly face "It means exactly what I said" I said getting a little annoyed "Humphrey!" that girl from earlier yells "oh there she is" the wolf says "Hey Kate" he says hugging her "Hey Babe" She says "Oh I see you met the newbie around here" she says smiling "Don't call me that" I say thinking of past memories "Oh sorry I didn't think-" she trys to say before a voice cuts her off "HEY HOTSHOT!" I looked around the two wolves in front of me to see the annoying wolf from earlier "How about we see how tough you are now" he says approaching me and throwing a fist, I easily dodge and back up "Listen idiot you don't know what you're getting yourself into just shut up and walk away." I say warning him "Wow so what you think I would actually listen to that" he says laughing "Ok but you asked for it" I say punching him in the jaw lifting him off the ground I grab him while he's in the air and slam him back down knocking him out cold "I tried to warn you" Before I could begin to walk away I was knocked to the ground hard "Ah what the f-" I try to say before getting punched in the mouth, I feel my lip start to bleed as I look up I see a rather muscular wolf standing there growling "Garth! Back Off!" the she-wolf says grabbing him "Nah let him come its been a while since I have been hit like that" I say smiling. I run forward and grab him by the back of the throat and throw him forward sending him into a tree "Ah...my...ribs" the wolf says holding his chest area, I feel a bite on my leg and whimper in pain as I look down to see a wolf biting me and two more jump on me and begin to bite me, I throw one of and get pinned by the other, He sinks his teeth into my neck before slamming my head into the ground I cough up some blood and my vision starts to get blurry, I panic and throw the wolf on top of me off and bite onto his leg and slam him into the ground "STOP!" A wolf calls out and I recognize this wolf as one of the two leaders. "GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" He yells at me and I Walk off into the woods.

I make my way to a little lake and take a drink before walking over to a tree and laying down "Ah...that was...not smart" I say aloud, my vision begins to get blurry again and I look down to see a pool of blood where I am lying "Shit I...can't...keep...my eyes...open" I manage to stutter before everything goes black.

Kate POV

I begin to help the others and make sure they are ok "Hutch are you ok?" I ask "Yeah he was a lot stronger than I thought" Hutch says spitting out some blood "Damn you boys got your asses whooped" Humphrey says laughing "Humphrey not right now" I say trying to hold back a smile, my mind begins to trail off and wonder if Seth was alright "Hey you think he is ok Dad?" I ask looking up at my dad "I don't know Kate and right now that is not my priority" He says frowning at me "But dad we should at least check on him, the fight wasn't even his fault" I say feeling bad for him "That wolf although he didn't attack first hurt some of your friends Kate and I'm not gonna choose someone I don't know over our pack" my dad says "Ok dad" I say looking down towards the ground, I walk away and start walking towards the direction Seth went into the woods, "Just please don't be dead, I really don't want to see a dead body" I say to myself following a blood trail. I start to get closer to the lake that is up ahead and the trail starts ending I look up and see the Jet-Black furred wolf lying against a tree "Oh my god" I say getting closer "Hey are you awake?" I ask and get no response "Ok Kate it's ok just calm down" I say thinking of a way to help him "Oh got it" I yell trying my best to pick him up and put him on my back, after about 10 minutes I finally saw the clearing and walked out, as soon as I got into the pack's main area everyone was looking at me "Kate what the hell are you doing with him" Hutch says attracting even more attention "What...does...it...look...like" I spit out still trying to attempt to get him to my parent's den "Lilly!" I yell as I started getting close to the den. She came out looking around before she spotted me and started freaking out "Kate! Oh my god are you bleeding" she says desperately running up to me "Not...my...blood" I manage to say before collapsing to the ground "Kate!" I hear Lilly say before passing out.

Humphrey POV

I heard what happened to Kate through a couple of my buddies and I immediately made my way over there "Lilly where is Kate" I said worried half to death "She is right there and you don't have to worry she is fine "Ah my head" The black wolf said trying his best to sit up "Your the guy I ran into earlier, uh I totally forgot your name" I say laughing while scratching my head "That's because I never gave it to you"The wolf said "Well are you gonna give it to me now" I said "Seth" He said holding his ribs. "Don't try and get up yet, you still have some healing to do broken ribs take a little while to heal and my name is Humphrey" I say trying to stop him from hurting himself more "I'll be fine, besides I need to get out of here" He said leaning up against a wall and using the wall to get up "You can't even get up on your own" I say walking over to help "I don't want your help, I'll be fine on my own I always have been." he says limping over to the den exit. "That's the thanks I get for helping you" Kate says "Kate!" I say running over and hugging her "Hey Humphrey" She says hugging me back. "Thanks, I guess" Seth says walking out "Wow what a dick" I say irritated "Well he did just get attacked by our pack" She said defending him "Man what do you see in this guy that nobody else does?" I say confused "Humphrey nobody in our pack can fight like that" she says starting to get up "I need to go get him" she says attempting to walk but falling "Kate you need to be careful" I say picking her up and letting her lean up against me. "Thank you" she says starting to walk.

Seth POV

I keep limping around until I find the pack leader "There's a war coming and you guys need to get ready" I say and turn around to walk away "Why?" I hear him say "What do you mean why" I say confused "Why try and help us after what happened?" he says looking down in shame "A few bad wolves or idiots don't ruin the entire pack" I say walking away "Just be ready and train your wolves as much as you can" I say limping off "How can we trust him" The other says "I guess I'll just have to go with my gut on this one" He says walking up to me "Hold on a sec what kind of danger are we looking at here?" he asks beginning to get concerned "One you wouldn't be able to stop on your own." I say scratching my head "You must join with the other packs in Jasper, I will inform them of the situation and you guys do the rest." I say limping away "Why don't you stay here until your all healed up?" he says coming to help me "I'll be fine I have dealt with worse" I say limping away before I tripped falling down "Great just when I made it look like I didn't need help" I say to myself attempting to get up. "Yeah you need rest" he says I finally give up being stubborn and follow him back to the Alpha den where I laid down and went to sleep.
