39. Chapter 34 My Hero

Chapter 34 Season 3 My Hero

What Monoma said still echoed in my head throughout the night. Why did I want to be a hero. Why did I truly accept All Might's offer. I could have run away and lived my life as an assassin and disappeared from the radar. I knew I could, hell I was beyond sure I could, but I didn't. That night I was sent to the remedial classes as punishment for nearly killing Monoma.

I was asleep through most of it when I heard Mandalay shout, "everyone!"

I then woke up and listened carefully.

Kirishima then said, "It's Mandalay's Telepath"

Mina chuckled and said, "so weird, right? It's giving me chills!"

Kaminari chuckled and said, "it is sort of annoying that it only works in one direction, though."

Mandalay then said, "two villains attacked us, it's possible there are more coming! Everyone, return to camp immediately! We're regrouping. Do not engage any enemies!"

Aizawa said, "I'll look after the other students. Jango your on duty now get out there and defend your classmates!"

I nodded and vaulted over my table running out with Aizawa.

Monoma laughed and said, "how can you trust that assassin to protect us, he might just be bought off by those villains and turn against us!"

I then rushed out and was mortified as outside I could see blue fire and purple smoke all around us.

"holy shit" I muttered.

A man with worse scars then mine then said, "looks like your concern has you two distracted"

I then dodged the huge amount of blue flames the man shot out and THEN THE BURNING WRECK THAT WAS NOW HYDRA shot out of the trees.

With a howl I shouted, "are you fucking kidding me! That is the third fucking car! God fucking damn it!"

Aizawa chuckled and said, "the universe just doesn't want you to have a car"

With a sad face I said, "I might just switch to a motorcycle…at least those are low maintenance"

A cackling soon came from the forest followed by a man dressed in golden Persian style ring mail armor with a mask similar to that used by the Persian Immortals.

The man cackled and said, "well, well, well if it isn't the current Hassan I Sabbah, my name is Xerxes, and this is my associate Dabi we represent the League of Villain's Vanguard Action Squad, so sorry about that piece of shit you called a ride, it was just so enjoyable watching your other two get destroyed I had to keep the joke rolling"

I took a loud deep breathe in and said, "you know I wasn't going to kill anyone this week, Monoma being the exception but now, just for that, your gonna fucking die, ATHENA DEPLOY TARTARUS!"

The armor pod shot out of the woods and hit the guy in the back of the head before attaching to me.

I then muttered, "Athena do a full scan on these two"

Tartarus then pulled up a screen and said, "this….this is impossible!"

"whats wrong Athena?" I asked

Athena then said, "That man claiming to be Xerxes is Tatagane Rokuda, the great grandson of Thaddeus Anderson who went missing two weeks ago, and the other kid…that's Toya Todoroki…Endeavor's first born!"

Tch great another kid Endeavor ruined. What is with that man and ruining perfectly good kids!

Touya chuckled and said, "You pros oughta lay off. We haven't come here for any of you, so just stay out of our way!"

Xerxes chuckled and said, "good thing I still had my legion access codes, or else would have never found this place, well it was also thanks to our rat"

Aizawa then shouted, "Jango, get to Mandalay and help them out, I'll stay here and protect the others"

I nodded my head and turned back to face Xerxes. With a low growl i summoned 5 floating longswords and charged at Xerxes while Aizawa dealt with Touya and just went on a rampage against him striking at him with merciless intent.

I growled and said, "you blew up my car you bastard, prepare to die!" before slamming him into a tree.

Xerxes leapt over the tree and broke the hold I had on him before creating two longswords.

Xerxes laughed evilly and said, "well now heres an amazing battle, two powerful weapon manifestation quirks going up against each other! Lets see just who has the better Quirk!"

I took a deep breath in and readied Miyabi, clicking off the safety on its gunsheathe. This would be the first combat trial of the sheathe since I got it, lets see how powerful it is! Rushing at Xerxes I fired off the sheathed and felt the power behind the slash as I cut through one of Xerxes's longswords and followed it up by using the sheathe to hit him in the jaw dazing him. Xerxes howled in pain.

With a wrathful glance Xerxes shouted, "You insolent child, why won't you just do the dark legion a favor and die!" before summoning thousands of swords from wood chips.

I get it now that's how his quirk works, he needs wood in order to make his weapons.

Taking a deep breath in I used the very air around me to match the amount of swords he was producing and shot them at his swords.

"Ishkur heavy up pour!" I shouted as the blades launched.

Not one of us made a movement as we just kept making blades and shooting them hoping to stab the other in the process.

I finally took the first step at Xerxes shouting, "Zabaniya, shadow step!"

Turning into a puff of black smoke I weaved my way past his blades and grabbed him by the head and started to drag him across the ground scraping his face off in the process. As soon as I broke through the forest with Xerxes's lifeless body I ran into two other members of the Vanguard action squad who Tartarus identified as Spinner and Kenji Hikiishi.

Spinner growled when he saw me and said, "him, he is responsible for killing Stain!"

I groaned and said, "another Stain believer, well if it cools your dick off Spinner" I then pulled out Stain's katana and said, "his blade which I have dubbed Nobunaga now serves me!"

Spinner growled and unsheathed the huge blade off his back. A half assed attempt at an ultimate blade.

"I am here to make Stain's dreams a reality!" Spinner cackled.

I rolled my eyes and said, "easy there Teenage Mutant ugly freak, you may have a sword but" I then materialized thousands of them at him and materialized more around Kenji and said, "I know how to use mine properly"

Tiger then came up and said, "I don't care who you think you are you're criminals! The woman lying there is named Pixie-Bob. She's a pro hero who's saved countless lives! She's giving her all for these young heroes, pushing them to reach their full potential! She's looking for a mate, but otherwise she's content! What gives you the right to cut such a happy life short?!"

Spinner then tried to charge at Tiger shouting, "didn't anyone ever tell you it's not a hero's job to be happy!" but was suddenly held in place by Kenji

Kenji chuckled and said, "hold on there is no need to get angry" before looking at me.

"how much are they paying you, Deimos Bladesman…how much are they paying you to work for them?" Kenji chuckled looking at me.

I staggered back a bit and said, "nothing at all". All the swords around them suddenly disappeared.

Gabby looked at me and said, "Jango Drakos Castellanos Satatori don't you even think of it!"

Kenji chuckled and said, "join us and I can promise you millions, and security"

"tch why would I ever join a group of thugs!" I laughed.

Kenji chuckled and said, "because we won't look down on you"

This made me stagger even more.

"think about it, you've gotten away with a lot of shit in your time at UA so far, you were allowed in based on All Might's good graces, you were allowed to stay after being chosen as the next Hassan I Sabbah, hell I am pretty sure you haven't even been scolded for the amount of blood on your hands, why do they allow this?" Kenji asked.

Mandalay looked at me and said, "don't listen to him Jango!"

Kenji smirked and said, "its because they fear you. If you weren't the powerhouse that you are they would have locked your ass up in Tartarus the day All Might found you and defeated you!"

I stuttered and said, "how do you know all this…"

Kenji then pulled out a phone and said, "funny what dark legion access codes can give you. We've been tapping into Tartarus's video files and found all kinds of video footage…it would be a shame if this stuff made it to the internet!"

I growled and said, "are you black mailing me?"

Kenji grinned evilly and said, "why yes I am, either you work along side us, or within 48 hours, the information concerning the Perfected Assassin program which the Heroes and your Precious Dark Legion tried to keep under wraps, will be blasted through out the world, and you'll be hunted down! So, what's it going to be Assassin!"

I was…frozen. I wanted to help the heroes but if I do, everything I worked for will for nothing, hell I doubt I could be a Hassan I Sabbah with the amount of attention I'd have. However, if I side with the League of Villains… I'd be throwing away everything I worked for but I'd be safe and not have to worry about heroes looking down on me.

I smiled and deactivated the helmet on Tartarus and walked up to Kenji. Its time I made my choice, once and for all.

Gabby started to cry and said, "I trusted you damn it!"

Kenji laughed and said, "little lady you have to learn that assassins have no loyalty, they only listen to money and safety. Don't worry Deimos Bladesman will be safe with us" before hugging me.

I snickered and said, "you know….your right Kenji"

Kenji snickered and said, "about what?"

With a grin on my face I said, "Assassin's have no loyalty, but unfortunately for you, I am not just an assassin, I'm an assassin hero!"

I then flicked my wrist activating my flamethrower scorching his stomach followed by twirling and using my blade launchers to hit Spinner. I then broke the phone in Kenji's hand and punched him again in the gut. While Kenji howled in pain I boxed him using the air around me to make two huge spiked gauntlets I punched him in the face, broke three of his ribs and then followed it up by crushing his balls…only to find out he didn't have any.

Athena chuckled and said, "should have mentioned this…this guy…is transgender so I don't think he has a dick…"

I sighed and shouted, "I'll just punch him into submission then!" followed by a flurry of heavy punches till I finally kicked him in the face and landed right next to Mandalay and the others.

Gabby looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, "don't ever do that to me you idiot!"

I smiled and said, "I make no promises"

Kenji struggled to get up and said, "tch lets see how you like everyone knowing about your secrets then Assassin!"

I smirked and said, "going to be hard without a phone!"

Kenji growled and realized he had no dirt on me anymore and was about to charge me.

'I then laughed and shouted, "Athena, send it Persephone!"

Persephone then dropped and armored on top of me and with a growl I said, "Mandalay what's the plan!"

Mandalay smirked and said, "I've talked to everyone. Trust the safety of the other students to ragdoll. Jango, your on the offensive rush around and use Athena and whatever else you have to find and take down all the other villains. Tiger and I will hold these two back! The rest of you return to camp! Class Rep you're in charge on the way there. Don't engage anyone!"

Iida and the others were about to leave when Iida noticed Deku wasn't following him.

Deku shouted, "Go on ahead without me! Mandalay!"

Mandalay then looked back at Deku.

Deku then shouted, "Kota. I know where he is!"

Mandalay looked at me and said, "Deimos Bladesman…Jango, I know you want to prove yourself to all of us now is your time to shine in more ways than just a soldier, save Kota!"

I chuckled and said, "I will, you just make sure to keep Spinner's blade in one piece I want it for my collection"

Mandalay chuckled and said, "I make no promises"

I nodded my head and detached myself from Persephone and Tartarus and ran with Deku to go and help save Kota.

"PERSEPHONE, AID MANDALAY UNTIL I CALL FOR YOUR HELP!" I SHOUTED.

Persephone gave the thumbs up and started to fight against the two villains.

I then looked at Tartarus and shouted, "Tartarus, you're on recon, if you find any students or any high priority villains send their positions to me, and then forcibly hack their phones to show them where everything is!"

Athena responded, "good luck, 9292"

I smirked and said, "same to you" before rushing off with Deku.

As we ran Deku said, "how the hell did they find us!"

"one of their members was the grandson of one of the dark legion founders…he used his access codes to hack into Hydra and triangulated the position…worse yet, I think we have a mole in UA" I said as I ran.

Deku looked at me and said, "a mole?"

I nodded my head and said, "before you ask, it wasn't me"

Deku smirked and said, "knew it!"

We then saw a man about to punch Kota and Deku used Full cowling to get up their and save him just In the nick of time. I followed by producing a Jat Kittag and slamming it directly into the man's back before twirling and landing right in front of him. I then realized who it was, Muscular.

Kota looked at the two of us and said, "what are you doing?"

Muscular chuckled and said, "huh. Well now this is quite the reunion don't you agree 9292!"

I growled and held my Jat Kittag in a defensive manner and shouted, "I won't let you kill the boy, you freak!"

Muscular cackled and said, "come now 9292, I practically trained you to be the best assassin out there, who was it who broke your bones almost every other day turning you into a machine who couldn't feel pain!"

I stood my ground and said, "you were a freak Goto, you were too violent for the Legion which is why you were let go!"

Muscular laughed and said, "tch you holdin grudges 9292, what a shame I thought I taught you grudges were sick and twisted!"

He then turned his attention to Deku and said, "Huh. Now you, I recognize. You were on the list!"

I got back in front of Deku and said, "stay away from them!"

Muscular then landed a punch on sending me into a wall and said, "I never thought I'd see you form bonds 9292, not after you slit the throats of your other comrades! Oh, don't tell me, you plan to do the same to them!"

I struggled to move but shouted, "I won't let you hurt them!"

Meanwhile (athena's perspective)

I had to remain calm, 9292 trusted me enough to allow me access to both Tartarus and Persephone.

I looked at Mandalay and said, "I'll aid you on taking on spinner!"

Mandalay nodded and together we faced spinner.

Spinner charged at us shouting, "you fake heroes only care about yourselves and your glory. We'll purge you from this world!" while swinging wildly with that blade of his.

Mandalay used her Quirk to get inside his head and make him blush and zoomed past him and slashed him. I rushed up and taking a move from 9292's book I punched him in the back followed by activating the plasma arm blades and doing a few calculated and precise cuts along his back before leaping back.

Spinner howled in pain and shouted, "That was a dirty trick to pull! Don't toy with me, you cat!"

I then calmly started to try and stab Spinner who started to dodge.

"you don't only have the cat to worry about, also the hyper lethal, combat ready A.I! YOU THOUGHT 9292 WAS TOUGH, SEE WHY THEY CALL ME ATHENA THE GODDESS OF WAR!" I shouted before spinning myself creating a fire tornado.

I then noticed Kenji Hikiishi try to pull in Mandalay. I wanted try and help However it seemed tiger beat me to it as before Mandalay could be pulled over Tiger landed a devastating right hook on him.

With a growl Tiger shouted, "I won't let you use the same trick twice!" causing Kenji to drop Mandalay.

The two of them started to grapple as I rushed over to make sure Mandalay was okay.

While they were grappling Mandalay said, "Tiger, Athena, something is wrong, I haven't gotten a response from Ragdoll, it isn't like her not to report!"

We all looked at Mandalay and Kenji cackled saying, "Uh-oh, I wonder what happened to her."

BACK TO JANGO!

Muscular laughed hysterically at us and said, "you really think you two can save this little brat? That does sound like something a wannabe hero would say! Your kind sure likes to mouth off about justice!"

I then tore myself out of the wall and recalled Jade and Orion back to me, forming one being again just to make sure I had some extra power just in case.

Muscular laughed and said, "The name's Midoriya, right? Perfect. We were told we could take some initiative and kill you! But first, a little torment for you, and some training for 9292! COME ON AND SHOW ME YOUR BLOOD!" before throwing off his cloak and rushing at Midoriya.

I took the opportunity and rushed at Muscular turning a bunch of gravel into two cinquedas. I wouldn't let what this bastard did to me, all the broken bones, all that trauma, I wouldn't let it stay bottled up within me! Today I will get my revenge. Leaping on his back I howled and tried to stab him in the back but Muscular hardened his skin and broke the daggers before grabbing me and throwing me into Kota. Midoriya then tried to block Muscular's punch but was slammed into a wall.

"Midoriya!" I shouted before feeling Muscular grip my head.

"tch didn't we teach you better 9292, I though Grim and I beat it into you that familial bonds would get you killed!" before slamming me into the ground face first.

Muscular then cackled saying, "Oh, yeah Maybe you two can help me out a little bit first! You know where a kid named Bakugou might be around here? I still have a job to do, after all!" before rushing at Midoriya to try and hit him.

I staggered to get up and shot out two hook shots from my arms sticking them to him before throwing him away from Midoriya into a boulder.

I panted and said, "we will never tell you, ya overgrown freak!".

I then sent an electrical pulse through my arms into the hooks electrocuting him. Muscular let out a howl of pain before tearing the hooks out of his back and yanking on them pulling me into a lariat that took my breathe away. I rolled out of the way just as he was about to stomp his foot down and watched as Deku hit him in the jaw. Muscular dodged this and grinned evilly as he slammed his knee into Midoriya sending him into another wall.

Muscular cackled saying, "Blood is exactly what I wanted from you two! What'd you promise? That everything would be okay? How's that workin' out for ya, huh?"

He then walked over to Midoriya and said, "Don't just lay there, stupid!"

While Muscular was distracted I targeted him with my phone and sent the coordinates to Persephone requesting a couple sidewinder missiles be fired at him. I watched as Midoriya went in for a punch only for Muscular to block it.

With a grin Muscular said, "What? Is that all you've got? You're fast, but you're not strong enough to hurt me. Neither of you are!"

I chuckled and said, "true, but these are!" before hooking Midoriya and bringing him over to me as 4 sidewinder missiles shot and blew up Muscular.

Shockingly these only wounded Muscular.

Muscular chuckled and said, "My Quirk Increases my speed and strength so exponentially that my muscle fibers can't even be contained by my skin! I know I'm bragging a bit. But I mean, c'mon I guess what I'm trying to say is… you're just an inferior version of me you green haired bastard!"

I then sped up and crotch punched him before he could say anything else but was bitch slapped away into a wall.

Muscular then went after Midoriya cackling, "I can't help but laugh at you, kid! You'll really think you're a hero, don't you?" before punching him into the ground.

I then got up a bit dazed and shouted, "Anu Purgatory!" sending hundreds of sharpened spears out of the ground wildly trying to stab at Muscular.

A few managed to stab him but it only pissed him off enough to focus on me instead.

Muscular laughed as he tried hitting me, "How are you gonna save him, huh! Hell, how are you gonna save anyone 9292 you weren't bred to be a hero"

He then slammed his fist into my gut shouting, "you were bred to be an assassin!"

I then rolled onto the floor struggling to get up.

Muscular laughed and said, "Don't make promises you can't keep! Live up to your words or they don't mean anything! You're no hero—you're just a fraud and you'll die that way!"

Before Muscular could finish me off Kota had thrown a rock at him.

With tears in his eyes Kota said, "Remember Water Hose? My mom and my dad. Did you torment the two of them, too? Before you killed them?"

Midoriya staggered over to me to try to help me up as Muscular turned his attention to Kota. I then looked in my pocket and saw that the All Might Quirk Blade was slowly glowing, as if some sort of power was unlocked.

Muscular chuckled and said, "Huh? Seriously? Those losers were your parents? Well then, this must be fate. The Water Hose heroes—they're the reason I have an artificial eye in my left socket right now. The Dark Legion Program heralded them as true heroes to look up to but to me they were just frauds"

Kota cried some more saying, "This is all your fault. Nothing in the world is right anymore and it's because of crazy people like you and Jango!"

I then shouted, "bitch I am trying to save your ass!"

Muscular chuckled and said, "Little kids are always so quick to say it's someone else's fault. Don't get the wrong idea. It's not like I took them out `cause I was mad about the eye thing. I wanted to kill people—its as simple as that. And those two tried to stop me. What happened was the result of all of us doing our best. The real travesty is promising to do something you aren't able to do. That's why your dear old mommy and daddy died!

I calmly stabbed myself with the All Might Quirk blade and felt the surge of power course through me.

Black flames then appeared from my eyes as I shouted, "One For All, Full Cowling!" and started to bounce around like Midoriya.

Muscular then shouted, "Nice try with the sneak attacks you brats, but I'm ready!"

Deku then leapt into the air ready to punch him in the face while I slid on the ground aiming for his chest.

Deku growled shouting, "You ruined his life, and you won't take the blame?!"

Deku then reached out and slid his hand into Muscular's muscle fibers and shouted, "Got you now. Doesn't matter how quick you are!"

Muscular didn't focus on me and said, "but what's your next move? You gonna punch me with that puny Quirk of yours again?"

I howled and punched him in the gut as Deku shouted, "it's not a matter of whether or not I can do it."

I then shouted, "A hero's job is to risk his life, to turn his promises into a reality"

I then shouted, "One For All, 150 percent!" the twin smashes nearly sent Kota over the edge.

Deku then rushed over and grabbed Kota with his mouth saying, "Gotcha! Sorry about that!"

I then staggered over and got a call from Persephone and Tartarus, Mandalay had everything under control they were on our way to my position.

Panting I said, "let's get back to camp. It's not far from us"

Deku looked at me and said, "we can take a ride in Hydra"

I shook my head and said, "Hydra was destroyed…."

Deku chuckled and said, "three cars down Jango, you should be more careful"

I looked at him with a death glare and said, "I can still leave your asses here!"

Muscular then shot out of the ground and said, "Hhe. A bit too obvious. But hey. Not too bad, 9292 and Midoriya!"

I then formed a Konda blade and said, "stay away!"

Muscular chuckled and said, "Naw, attacking sounds more fun!"

We had to buy time till Persephone and Tartarus showed up.

I then shouted, "Tell me. Why have you come here?"

Deku looked at Muscular and said, "what does the League want from us?"

Muscular cackled and said, "doesn't matter to me, I'm just glad they finally let me off the leash. Long as I get to use my Quirk all I want, I really don't care! Remember what I told you two earlier. We've just been playing around. Having fun. Until now! Now, I'm serious! Recess is over! I'm coming at you for real, and Jango, Doctor Minerva or Grim Strider aren't here to help keep me from killing you! `cause truth be told, you two are pretty strong! I see that now."

Deku grabbed Kota and leapt out of the way as I shouted, "shield of Helios!" and guarded myself with my shield.

Muscular did his best to try and break through the shield with all his might but finally he slammed through and send me straight into Midoriya. Taking a deep breath, I could all of a sudden feel a surge of power going through the All Might Quirk blade. Time seemed to move slow as I saw the other users of One For All.

A voice then called out, "Jango Satatori although you did not acquire One For All through normal means we bless you with its power, use it to become a hero everyone can look up to!"

I growled and watched as Muscular shot at me and deku and with a growl I shouted, "One For All, 100% Detroit smash!" slamming into Muscular.

Muscular cackled and said, "whats wrong that was weaker than before!"

Deku growled and said, "we will not let him get past us! Kota, Run!"

I could barely hear past the ringing in my ears caused by all the pain. Forgive me Auntie Atalanta…I tried everything to be a hero.

With a cackle Muscular shouted, "I'm gonna crush you!" followed by us getting slammed deeper into the ground.

Suddenly a burst of water shot at us.

Muscular looked confused and said, "what the-? Is that water?"

Kota started to cry and said, "Stop! Let them go!"

I struggled to look but I said, "Ko-ta"

Muscular cackled and said, "Hold on, there, `kay? I'll kill you after I'm done with—"

I could hear the old man of the mountain's voice call out to me, "Jango I hast deemed thou worthy of mine power, use it to vanquish thy foes and bring honor to the name of assassin"

Black flames came from me as I growled and shouted, "we won't let you hurt Kota!" before slamming my fist upward.

Muscular growled and said, "Damn it how are you two getting stronger!"

Deku then shouted, "you won't lay a hand on him!"

As Deku shouted, "One for all, one million percent", I felt a surge with in me, and shouted, "Zabaniya! Azrael!"

Muscular started to scream in fear and beg for mercy, as if the concept of death had just dawned on him.

As Deku punched Muscular I slammed the floor turning it into a grave yard, then I pulled out two huge broadswords and decapitated Muscular.

"now stay dead" I said.
