40. Chapter 35 fight of ideals

Chapter 35 season 3

Staggering to breath I looked over at Deku and said, "he's dead"

Deku looked at me and said, "good….we still have some things to do!"

I nodded and watched as Persephone and Tartarus got over to us.

Athena shouted, "9292! Are you okay!"

I nodded my head and staggered over and said, "prepare the healing unit!"

Athena simply nodded and turned around so I could put Tartarus and then Persephone on and once it was on Athena did a diagnostic revealing most of my bones were destroyed by the damage I took. What surprised Athena though was my brain, Azrael must have deteriorated my mental stability… I'll have to keep a check on that. I took a deep breath as the healing unit took affect and started to heal my wounds up so I could fight again.

I then walked to the cliff and said, "Athena, I need a full scan of the area, I want to know who's out there"

Athena nodded and Persephone deployed a bunch of drones from its wings and started to do a full scan of place and I got a full list of the villains present, most of them were a class villains with a few of them standing out to me. Firstly, I guess a blast from the past was coming my way as Toga Himiko was with them, at least I'll be able to put that bitch down for good. Moonfish…a death row inmate, nasty Quirk I might have fun with, and then there's Touya….Endeavor's first born, god he was going to be a truly dangerous opponent. Rounding out the unknowns was a Nomu, and then also a kid Athena codenamed Mustard, with a poison gas quirk. Fascinating…. this vanguard action squad did have a few notable villains. Realizing I would have to fight as well I looked up all known bounties related to these villains and only found on Moonfish, which I took for $15,000.

Deku staggered over to me and said, "we need to help the others"

I nodded and Kota rushed over to us and said, "are you two crazy, you're all beat up! What more could you have to do now?"

Deku looked over at Kota and said, "I knew he'd be strong. That's why we had to try and defeat him here. I thought I'd be able to inflict a lot more damage in the end, though. Turns out, I seriously underestimated how powerful his Quirk was."

I nodded and said, "I just took a scan on every villain that is here…we got some real powerhouses, all our lives are at stake…"

Deku nodded and said, "it sounds like they're after some of us students. We have to let Mr. Aizawa and the Pussycats know that's one of the reasons they're here. I may be injured, but I'm not defeated yet, there are more people I can save."

I then took a swig from my flask and said, "I'm not dead yet so I'll help you out as well"

Deku nodded before looking at kota and saying, "for now we need to make sure you're safe! We're gonna need some help only you can give us. The forest has been set on fire. That means my friends could be trapped by the flames. But we have hope. Your water Quirk along with Jango's Poseidon Ultima Quirk blade can put those fires out."

I nodded my head and said, "Athena, detach Tartarus and open up the chest module its time I start to use those Quirk Blades to their fullest potential"

Athena acknowledged and as I leapt out of Persephone and Tartarus, I started the sheathe the Quirk blades on ronin's chest.

I then looked at Deku and said, "we'll deal with some of the villains in the forest, you get the kid to safety!"

Deku saluted me and I leapt over the side of the mountain rushing into the forest just to see what villains I'll run into. Athena then said, "oh Jango, by the way Mandalay has successfully saved the sword from Spinner so expect it in your arsenal"

"good!" I grinned.

I then instantly heard Mandalay's voice say, "Everyone in Class A and Class B! in the name of the pro hero, Eraserhead, you are granted permission to engage in combat. I repeat. Use your training! You may fight these villains."

Good, time to let loose! I then pulled out an endeavor Quirk blade, Kamui Woods, Boreas, and Posideon Ultima and stabbed myself and felt the rush of power in me as the Quirks flowed through my body. I then noticed the gas that was forming around me. Toxins. Taking a deep breath in I calmed myself and rushed in activating the heavy filters in my mask as I rushed in. first thing is first I needed to find Toga, I have a score to settle with her and I plan to end her once and for all. Shooting out a blast of water at a wall of blue flame I started to look around for other survivors just in case.

Athena then said, "9292 I have detected three heat signatures to the northeast, and three more in the direction of the gas formation be advised and check it out"

I nodded and said, "Athena, send Persephone and Tartarus to deal with the guy at the center of the Poison gas"

Athena acknowledged the request and sent a video feed of Persephone slamming into the gas and firing its thermal cannon at mustard killing him. TetsuTetsu started to curse me out about taking away their glory. Though the gas did stop.

I then remotely took control of Persephone and said, "sorry for that, I wasn't to sure if you could take him on so I sent in Persephone, now then you two get any survivors you can find and report back to camp"

TetsuTetsu shouted, "no way man we want to fight to"

"technically what you guys are doing is illegal!" I shouted.

TetsuTestu then shouted, "oh and you're the exception"

I shouted, "of course I am dumbass I am a registered assassin! So, this isn't exactly me being a vigilante"

As I kept running I could hear Uraraka's screams. Picking up the pace I rushed over to see Tsu and Uraraka were going up against Toga. Toga didn't see me, as she was way to occupied on her knife. this was my opportunity to strike .

With a grin on my face, I tore off my mask and bolted at Toga and shouted, "Burning Lacquer chain prison!" sending wood from my hand attempting to grab Toga. Toga leapt out of the way and threw a knife at me but I pulled out a shotgun and destroyed the knife in midair. I then rushed over to get in front of Tsu and Uraraka to defend them.

Tsu looked at me and said, "Jango, be careful we know nothing about her, so we're at a disadvantage. Please stay on guard"

I chuckled and said, "Her Name Is Himiko Toga, she is highly skilled in tantojutsu and her quirk is called Transform, all she needs is a bit of blood and she can change herself into anyone who's blood she absorbed, your looking at the lady who was used for the perfected Assassin program's Quirk blades"

Toga looked at me and said, "well, well, well you look familiar, did I attempt to kill you one time?"

I grinned and said, "not exactly, you probably remember how you got those scars under your uniform though!"

Toga stepped back and said, "No, no it can't be! I thought your organization died!"

I then said, "oh it did, but I survived, I am 9292 of the dark legion's perfected assassins program!"

Toga growled and said, "this changes everything! Screw trying to kidnap you, I'm just going to flat out murder you!" before charging at me with her knives.

I rolled my eyes and charged at her blocking her knives and going in with a shotgun. Toga however expected this and stabbed me in shoulder with a needle, trying to suck out my blood. I pulled the trigger on the shotgun and watched as she was blown back revealing a huge ballistic plate underneath her clothes.

"tch I learned since the last time I fought you 9292! And guess what I know your powers now so prepare to die!" Toga cackled as she rushed me again.

I then tore out the endeavor and kamui woods quirk blades and shouted, "final frost!" sending a wave of water at Toga before finally freezing it with Boreas. I then broke the ice and smashed her head into the ground.

"this time I promise I'll put you down, for good!" I shouted pulling out a knife.

Tsu shouted, "Jango, don't! don't kill her!"

I then howled in pain as I felt a needle stab into my leg, however I smirked and realized it was the prosthetic so it wasn't blood she was draining, it was oil. Leaping away from Toga I unsheathed my Jian sword and got ready to defend when suddenly Todoroki , Deku and Shoji broke through the tree line.

Toga leapt away and said, "there's to many people here and I really don't feel like getting killed…We'll meet again 9292 I SWEAR!"

Todoroki then rushed up to us and said, "who was that girl!"

I got up and said, "a mass serial killer by the name of Toga Himiko…she was the base for the Quirk Blades…"

Deku looked at me and said, "Jango, are you okay?"

I nodded and said, "is anyone else hurt?"

Tsu nodded and said, "crazy girl stabbed Uraraka and cut my tongue before you showed up"

Uraraka then said, "Deku, you look terrible!"

Shoji then looked around and said, "we can't stand here and talk, let's move"

Deku let out a sigh and said, "I'm just glad you didn't get injured too bad! Now come on. Join our group. We're protecting Kacchan and making our way back to camp! We could use your help!"

Tsu then put her finger to her mouth and said, "If you're protecting Bakugou, then, shouldn't he be standing here with you guys?"

Deku looked confused and said, "Huh? What are you talking about? He's right over here, behind u—"

Realizing Bakugou wasn't with them, Deku started to panic when a voice said, "Nice trick ay?"

We all turned to see a man in a yellow trench coat with a top hat and a mask in the trees. Athena identified him as Atusuhiro Sako, AKA Mr. Compress.

Mr Compress smirked and said, "I took the lad you're talking about with my magic. A talent like his would be squandered were he cast as a hero. And by the looks of it Big Sis Mag failed in trying to win you over Deimos Bladesman, a pity a man of your skills is limited as a hero. No matter we'll provide this gentleman with a grander stage where he can truly shine"

Deku then shouted, "Give him back!"

Mr. Compress mocked deku by saying, " 'give him back?' what an odd thing to say. Bakugou doesn't belong to anyone. He's his own person. Don't be so arrogant"

I managed to send a signal to Persephone, sending coordinates for a bombardment from the sidewinder missiles, when I get a chance to get Bakugou back I'll blow Compress to hell.

Deku shouted, "we'll stop you!"

Todoroki then shouted "Right now!" followed by him trying to freeze compress.

"Lacquered Chain prison!" I shouted sending tendrils of plants out of my fingers shooting them to try and grab Compress.

Me. Compress merely jumped out of the way and said, "Why the aggression? We merely wish to show him that there are options besides the fanatical world of heroism he's drowning in." before landing on top of a tree.

Chuckling Mr. Compress said, "It's important to choose a path that aligns with your core values, after all."

Shoji then looked back and said, "It's not just Bakugou. Tokoyami's gone!"

Todoroki then looked at Mr. Compress and said, "If you're monologuing its because you think you've beaten us, you're mistaken!"

Mr Compress said, "a bad habit of mine. I was once an entertainer, you know. Taking tokoyami was a bit of improv on my part. MoonFish, Our dear 'blade tooth'. He may not look it, but he's a dastardly death row devil who's last appeal was denied. When I saw the avian take him down so easily and violently, I decided he should join our troupe."

Deku then shouted, "You Bastard! You can't take them!"

I looked at Deku and said, "Deku, calm down"

Todoroki then took the guy off his shoulder to Uraraka and shouted, "Here take this guy for me!"

I finally had enough and called in the sidewinder missiles. Hopefully if this guy dies Bokugou and Tokoyami will both be released. As Todoroki sent a huge wave of ice three Sidewinder missiles shot out of the air and blew up close to Mr. Compress. They would have hit him dead on IF TODOROKI DIDN'T DECIDE TO PULL AN ELSA AND MAKE A SHIT LOAD OF ICE!

Taking a deep breath in I walked over and hit Todoroki and said, "freezer brain"

Mr. Compress leapt away and said, "Apologies, but slight-of-hand and escapology are my specialties, not combat. I'm not foolish enough to fight hero candidates from U.A nor am I actually going to facing an assassin."

Mr. Compress then touched his ear and said, "Vanguard Action Squad. I've acquired our target. Our little show has officially come to a close. Meet me at the retrieval point in the next five minutes for the final bow.

Todoroki shouted, "they're going to take them!"

Gabby then shouted, "like hell they are!"

We all then rushed after Compress.

"Gabby can't you take him down!" I shouted.

Gabby shook her head and said, "he's out of range!"

I growled and recalled Persephone and used her flight capability to get to Compress faster than the others.

Mr. Compress shouted, "Damn it, I forgot about that thing!"

Before he could use his Quirk I grabbed him and shouted, "Express elevator to hell going down!", Before slamming him directly into the ground. I then realized I was completely surrounded by three other villains including Toga, Touya and Twice.

Twice then shouted, "whoa, whoa, what's this? Oh hey, wait, I know that kid, yeah he ran me over with his fucking car!"

I snickered and said, "so many familiar faces, so many people to kill!"

Touya then said, "Out of the way Compress!" followed by Compress turning into a small ball.

Athena then said, "heat warning, activating Persephone's heat shielding".

I took the full brunt of the fire with ease and rushed in to spar with Touya, unaware that while I was sparring, Todoroki, Deku and Shoji had started fighting with Twice and Toga. With a growl I then aimed the thermal cannon right and Touya and fired it hoping to murder him.

"tch you rely to much on tech! that makes you vulnerable!" Touya shouted before slapping something on to Persephone's leg.

A searing pain raised up through out my body as I was ejected from Persephone and the whole thing shut down. Damn it, an EMP device. Guess I was going to have to stay old school. Pulling out my Jian Sword again I charged at Touya and started to slash at him.

Gabby then rushed out of the tree line pissed and shouted, "Give me back my boyfriend!".

I guess Tsu and Uraraka ran into her…god help Mr Compress.

Using her Quirk to slam Mr. Compress and Dabi into the ground she went ballistic shouting, "How dare you try to take my man away from me, you shit dime a dozen street performer!"

I watched as Shoji rushed in and grabbed the marbles from Mr Compress and said, "Guys we're done! He gave away his best trick. I'm not sure what your Quirk is, but it had to do with those little marbles, right? The ones you'd stashed in your pocket! So, I'm guessing these are Tokoyami and Bakugou!"

Mr Compress laughed and said, "well, color me impressed. Just as I'd expect from someone with so many hands! How splendid!"

Gabby's hold on Mr. Compress and Dabi was then broken when the Nomu slammed through the forest slamming her against a tree.

"Gabby!" I shouted rushing over to see if she was all right. She had some minor concussions, but she was doing all right.

I then looked to my left and saw Kurogiri appear to come on and take everyone back.

I woke up Gabby who said, "at least we Got Bakugou"

Mr. Compress laughed at this and said, "you guys were so proud of yourselves for rooting through my pockets that I thought I'd let you gloat about it. But allow me to explain a basic tenant of magic. If I'm flaunting something shiny"

As he said this took off his mask and said, "it's because there's something else I don't want you to see. " revealing he had hidden the marbles with Bakugou and Tokoyami's soul in his mouth.

Deku looked back at us and said, "Gabby grab him!"

Gabby tried but I guess the concussion did more to her than she thought. I then started to rush at Compress to try and get to him when out of nowhere Aoyama sent a blast from his naval laser forcing Mr. Compress to release the marbles.

Shoji ended up grabbing one while Todoroki reached for the other but missed it.

Touya then said, "confirm it, release them Compress"

Compress then released them and to our horror we had grabbed Tokoyami and they had Bakugou still.

With tears in her eyes gabby shouted, "Bakugou no!"

We tried to reach him but failed to grab him as the portal full closed, leaving us in a forest on fire. Gabby dropped to her knees and just started to cry her eyes out as the love of her life vanished. This wasn't over, far from it. We may have lost the battle but we will win this war. Once everything was cleared up and the fire put out we were all rushed to the hospital. Before I could leave, I managed to stab Mustard and Moonfish as they were being put away and took their blood in order to use their Quirks for myself, also I killed MoonFish in order to confirm the contract

As I got to the hospital the doctors did a full diagnostic on my damages, and sadly my prosthetics were also damaged beyond repair which means according to the doctors I'll never be a hero again, but I was way to stubborn for this. I made a phone call and had Doctor Doris make some new prosthetics for me. Within hours Doctor Doris was at the Hospital with a briefcase.

"I saw the damage you did to the basic Prosthetics, and I must admit they lasted a lot longer than any of our scientist expected" Doris chuckled as she walked through the doors.

The doctor who was sitting with me got up and said, "excuse me, who the heck are you! This is a private facility!"

Doctor Doris held up her Dark Legion Badge and said, "Sir, this man was in possession of Legion Property we gave to him, we are merely here to replace said Property and get him back into the field"

The doctor growled and said, "no way, he is staying here ya hear me, at least here we can help him"

Doctor Doris looked over the guys shoulder and said, "Jango how long have you been here?"

I chuckled and said, "couple days now, hell this guy wouldn't even let my friends visit me and is saying I need thousands of dollars in medication just to deal with the fact I lost my legs!"

Doris laughed and said, "Classic Capitalist move, now stand aside and let a real doctor deal with this"

Doctor Doris then walked up to me and said, "now then I wasn't sure which style you liked so I have two sets ready, here is set one which we have codenamed Marauder"

Doctor Doris then opened the case to show a pair of really bulky Prosthetic legs and arms. These things looked like they were made for a construction worker with how heavy they were. Heck the legs had claws on them.

Doris then pulled out a second briefcase and said, "okay what about these ones, we haven't named them yet"

This pair was streamline with smaller claws on the front and heel. These ones also had a lot of plating around it in away that protects the knee and every vital spot on the legs. The arms were just as streamline silver coated plating with steel tubing and fully engraved. These were perfected.

I smirked and said, "strap them on me doc!"

Doctor Doris chuckled and said, "I thought you'd like these ones, let's get them on you and get you out there, I managed to figure out where your friend Midoriya is being kept so once we get these prosthetics on we'll get you over to him"

I smiled and said, "thank you"

As Doctor Doris attached the prosthetics she said, "now then lets add the skin texture now"

I waved my hands and said, "negative, I want to proudly show off my Prosthetics…to give hope to people who aren't luck enough to be born with the correct number of limbs and have to have prosthetics as well"

Doctor Doris nodded and said, "very well"

Once they were on I leapt up and wobbled a bit realizing how light weight they were.

"these are surprisingly light!" I said in awe.

Doctor Doris chuckled and said, "they're made with a new polymer metal alloy we've codenamed Aegis Steel, stronger than diamonds and extremely durable"

I smiled and did a few kicks and punches and noticed the hydraulics behind each punch and kick.

I looked at Doctor Doris and said, "what else did you add?"

Doctor Doris puffed out her flat chest with a look of superiority and said, "well not to toot my own horn but I improved the design that Minerva had, including a better version of the flamethrowers. Whip swords, hidden rope darts for pulling in criminals, omnidirectional jet engines in your feet to give your attacks some added oomf when not using Tartarus or Persephone, hydraulics to give punches more power, tesla cables for tazing people, and also your blades have been upgraded to have a chainsaw like feature"

I smiled and said, "Doctor Doris, you have got to be the best genius I know!"

Doris smirked and said, "we managed to use the battle data acquired from Tartarus, Athena and Persephone and also the wreckage of the hydra, don't worry we rebuilt the Hydra but Apollo is refusing to send it to you, however we were surprised Tatagane was alive, he knew how to short-circuit the tech so we rebuilt the suits to run on a closed network that can't be traced nor can it be shorted out by an EMP"

I nodded and said, "well that's good, have it all sent to Olympus, in the meantime lets head over to the hospital where Izuku Midoriya is being held"

I was bit worried for Deku as I read what his symptoms were and realized he could have died from all these damage he went through, and the damage to his arms. Soon though Doctor Doris dropped me off at the hospital and as I rushed in I bumped into everyone else from the class as they all were going to meet Deku. Although I noticed Gabby wasn't with them.

"Where's Gabby?" I said.

Everyone looked back at me in shock and ran up to see me.

"Jango, holy shit we were worried about you!" Mina said hugging me.

I smiled and said, "it's okay guys…I'm glad you guys are alright"

Iida nodded and said, "that doctor was such a jerk, he was telling us you needed all kinds of surgeries and stuff like that"

I chuckled and said, "well he was kind of a dick towards me but I am glad to be out, however…where's Gabby?"

Mina looked away and said, "she went missing… said she was going to try and search for Bakugou and hell we haven't heard from her"

I made a mental note of that, once I was out of here I would go after Gabby, and then Bakugou.

We then made it to Deku's room to see him laying there, still dazed from the battle.

Kaminari smiled and said, "Hey! Midoriya, good, you're finally awake! Did you see the news? Reporters are all over the school right now."

Sato nodded and said, "it's worse than last time!"

Mineta then held up a watermelon and said, "I brought a present! I mean, it's from all of us, minus Jango. It's a melon"

Deku looked over at me and said, "Jango, I heard your prosthetics got damaged during your battle…are you okay"

I smirked and held up my hand, "Doctor Doris had a replacement set made for me, they're a lot lighter"

Mina looked at them and said, "and amazing as well!"

Tokoyami looked away and said, "I caused you trouble, Midoriya."

Deku shook his head and said, "No, please. I did this to myself. Did everyone from Class A come to visit?"

Iida shook his head and said, "No. Jiro and Kagakure are still out. They were knocked unconscious from that villain's poisonous gas. Gabby has gone out on her own to try and find Bakugou and hasn't been seen for two days. And Yaoyorozu took a pretty bad hit to the head. She's hospitalized here. Though I just found out she finally woke up yesterday. So, it's just us, though obviously we wish the whole class could be here."

Uraraka sighed and said, "Only 16 of us for now."

Todoroki, like the dense idiot that he was, then said, "Because Bakugou is gone."

Mina hit Todoroki on the head and said, "He knows, Todoroki!"

Deku looked at the window and said, "All Might told me there'd always be people beyond our reach. That we can't protect even though we want to. Which is why we have to save the people we can reach. Gabby and I were so close to being able to save him. I needed to save him. Had to. That's the entire reason I have my Quirk. It's exactly like Mr. Aizawa said to me. My body….wouldn't move. I couldn't save someone who was right in front of me. And since I failed… He's gone."

Kirishima then said, "All right, then let's go get him."

We all stared at him with raised eyebrows.

Kirishima calmly said, "I was here yesterday, too. And so was Todoroki. We were on our way to visit you when we saw All Might and some police officer talking to Yaoyorozu…she made a device capable of tracking a device she had planted on one of the villains"

Iida looked at Kirishima and said, "This means you're going to have Yaoyorozu Make another receiver for you, doesn't it?"

Todoroki got involved saying, "what if it does?"

Iida snapped and said, "You should listen to what All Might said! We have to leave this to the professionals! It's not the right time for us to get involved. Idiots!"

Kirishima snapped back and said, "Maybe, but all I know….is that at camp, I couldn't do anything. I heard my friend was targeted, and I just stood by. Helpless. So, if I stand by and do nothing now, how`m I s'posed to call myself a hero or a man?"

Kaminari tried to ease the situation by saying, "Kirishima, calm down! We're in a hospital. There's a better time and place for this, dude."

Tsu then joined in and said, "Yeah, and what Iida said is true."

Kirishima calmed down a bit and said, "All of you. Just listen to me for a minute. I know what you're saying is right. But still! C'mon, Midoriya. He's still within your reach! We can save Bakugou!"
