Summary: In summer 1997, with a war getting close to them, Harry needs to be trained and with the death of Dumbledore, the only capable persons that Harry could trust are Nymphadora and his mother, but there is something is wrong with his magic that seems to get out of control easily and Lily knows why, there's only one way to solve this and it's going to be weird as a mother and son, but they need to do what they can for the greater good, thankfully she has the help of Nymphadora who is more than eager to help to solve Harry's problem.

Pairing: Harry/Lily Evans/Nymphadora

Chapter #1: What needs to be done

Dumbledore's death hit everyone hard, with a war incoming, he was the only hope that they had, well, Harry is the other one, but he's still too fresh to depend on him, he needs more training, it seems like Dumbledore didn't do much during his time alone with Harry.

Many members of the order of the phoenix were in the same room, they were dressed in Black, things haven't been great for them and Dumbledore's death was just the cherry on the cake.

- What are we going to do? – Asked a blue-haired girl worried about the future.

- I don't know Dora… And that scares me – An older, red-haired woman said.

Everyone's spirits were down, there was no motivation for them to act, and the worse thing of all is that they were in a hurry, there was no time for them to be in this state, the war was getting closer and closer.

No one knew what to say, there was a tension in the air, never in their wildest dreams they considered the possibility of Dumbledore dying, and now, they were completely lost, and their hope was disappearing little by little.

Staring at a landscape through a window, Harry James Potter was contemplating his life choices, he was wondering and thinking about the many times that he may have been wasting time thinking that he had other purposes in life more than fighting a battle that he seemed destined to lose.

He was supposed to kill Voldemort, but now, that seemed too far for him to reach, it sounded almost impossible, the only person that could have helped him was gone, currently, Harry felt that he wasn't as powerful as he'd like to be and even if he trained more years he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to defeat Voldemort, after all, the guy has years ahead of him, tons of knowledge the experience that he acquired through battles and also death, it was hard to keep up with him.

He was too focused on his thoughts that he didn't realize that an older, red-haired woman decided to sit by his side, the woman is wearing a black dress and she can't do another thing than study the younger man's features, and she didn't know at which time she started to caress his cheeks but when Harry realized what she was doing, he jumped a little and looked at the older woman with a strange expression.

- Hey Harry – Said the redhead calmly.

- Oh… Hi mom… I'm sorry, with all this thing about you know who I'm feeling a little paranoid that he would find me – Confessed Harry and Lily nodded.

- It's normal… I was feeling the same the moment he supposedly died when you were just a baby – Lily sighed.

- But… We still have dad's protection, right? – Asked Harry and she couldn't help but chuckle and nod.

- Yes… Your father and I were prepared for that situation, we were paranoid since the moment that Neville and you became the target of that maniac – Lily sighed – Your father and I learned about those rituals when we saw some witches in South America... They're very motherly back there, you'd be surprised the number of rituals that they had to protect their own... We were looking for alternatives of magic so we could be protected – Harry nodded as he heard that – Even if we knew that we were safe, we decided to learn many of those rituals… And we were prepared to sacrifice ourselves in case he found a way to reach us – Lily confessed – I was expecting him to kill both of us and then try to kill you… But surprisingly, he decided to let me live he just left me unconscious, and your father was the one who sacrificed himself to save us… - Lily couldn't feel but look at the floor for a while.

- Why did he let you live? – Asked Harry, he never asked her about it, they actually never talked about that moment, it was too painful for his mother.

- Oh… Because he's a sadist, in case that you and James would have died… Killing me would have been an act of mercy – But he wanted to let me live so he could torture me for the rest of my life… Killing my loved was ones and me living to remember them for the rest of my life was the best punishment that he imagined… Killing me would have been too easy for him so, instead of doing that, he wanted to kill me from inside and not outside – Lily couldn't help but sob.

She couldn't resist it anymore, the tears were falling and she was trying to control herself, but she couldn't, the memories of all the things that happened in their lives to get to this point still hurt for her, and then, Harry decided to something that she wasn't expecting, Harry, placed a hand on her shoulder and then, he hugged her.

- It's okay mom… Let it all out – Harry told her with a calm expression.

She didn't know how he became so mature, he wasn't even seventeen and he was being the serious one of the two, Lily didn't think about it too much, she started to sob and Harry was there the whole time comforting her, they were unaware that another woman was hearing everything, it was Nymphadora.

Harry was angry, that bastard has taken many things from him, his father, his godfather, and the happiness that he could never experience because he always felt as if he was going to attack him and add to that the fact that he tortured him mentally, now he took away his favorite teacher, his mentor, the one that was supposed to teach him all the things that he learned through his life, Harry was feeling angrier and angrier, now, Voldemort was making his mother cry.

- I'm tired of this! – Harry said calmly, Lily looked at him for a few moments – This needs to end now! – He added and somehow, this show of emotions made many things that were around them to move like the paintings and things that were on a table.

- Harry, what are you going to do? – Asked Lily worried about her son, Harry just shook his head.

- Mom… I can't do this without you… Dumbledore is dead, that's right… But We can't waste time… I need you to train me – Harry asked his mother and her eyes widened.

Lily was about to say something else, but then, another person appeared, it was Nymphadora and she was smirking.

- Not so fast! – She told them with a slight smirk.

- Dora I—Harry was about to explain himself but Nymphadora quickly stopped him.

- Enough Harry… I've heard everything, and while I think your mother is an amazing teacher… You also need someone to help you to put into practice the things that you learn and also… You could learn some things from an Auror – Dora said with a slight smile on her face, she was trying to look as confident as she could, but she couldn't help but blush a little.

Harry's eyes widened, he wasn't expecting that proposal from the Auror, many times in the past he asked her and Alastor to train him, but they always refused for some reason and now she was proposing this, he didn't even need to tell her this time.

- But… Why? Alastor and you always refused to teach me – Harry was confused right now.

- Well… We never trained you because Dumbledore was always opposed to the idea, he thought that the things we were going to teach you were too advanced for you and I agreed to some extent – Nymphadora sighed, feeling a little regretful, they wasted a lot of time that they didn't have, but still, she decided to remain calm and not insult Dumbledore – I wish I could tell Alastor to help us train you but it seems like even if he's already dead, Dumbledore left him with many things to do in case he died – Dora sighed.

Harry's expression changed little by little, Dora was expecting him to say something, he was getting closer to her at a slow pace, and the moment he was already in front of her, Nymphadora couldn't help but stare at the younger man with clear interest, she was blushing, he didn't say anything for a few seconds, instead, he decided to hug her.

That was surprised for the older woman, she wasn't used to Harry being this close with her, they were indeed friends, or at least, they tried to pretend that they were, Nymphadora knew about the crush that the younger man had on her, as for her feelings, well, she didn't know how to feel honestly, still, she hugged him back, a hug doesn't hurt from time to time.

- Dora… You're amazing, you know that, right? – Asked Harry completely happy.

- Thanks, I try to be like that as much as I could – Nymphadora said sarcastically and Harry laughed.

While Harry and Nymphadora were focused on hugging, the hope was raising little by little, Lily knew that this was a crazy idea, but this was the best thing they could do, besides Alastor who is always too busy, Nymphadora and Lily are the strongest members of the order, so, in their eyes, it's their duty to train Harry.

One week later…

Lily and Nymphadora were in a room in Potter's mansion, the home that belonged to Harry's grandparents, right now they were having a serious discussion before sleeping, Lily is wearing black sleeping robes and Nymphadora red ones.

- So, do you think it's serious? – Asked Nymphadora worried about something.

Lily remained in silence for a while, she was making some notes on a scroll, many things had happened during the week, the most important is that Harry's training started and he was showing some interesting results, at least in Lily's eyes, the thing here is that, they were facing some difficulties and they were trying to find the reasons for those difficulties.

- Well… I don't think so, he's just exhausted, we've been wearing him out the whole week, I guess that it was just a matter of time for this to happen – Lily sighed.

- Still, I'm impressed that he managed to train more than twelve hours per day for this whole week, he's already at an Auror's level! – Nymphadora was surprised and Lily couldn't help but smile as she thinks about her son.

- Yes… He's a prodigy indeed, the problem that he's facing right now will be nothing in a couple of days, trust me… I just need to make some tests and then I'll have the perfect solution for what's happening – Lily assured the younger woman who nodded at the redhead.

- I've never seen a case like this one that Harry has… Getting out of control just by using your magic… It still sounds too strange to be true for me – Nymphadora commented and Lily nodded.

- It's not common, that's right… But I guess that's what happens with wizards and witches that are over the top… Sometimes the power that they hold it's too incredible for them to handle, if my theory is right then I know the perfect solution, and in case that happens, I want to ask you this Nymphadora… - Lily waited for a few moments – Are you willing to do anything to help Harry? – Lily asked seriously.

The younger woman was caught by surprise by this sudden change in her attitude, but in the end, she nodded at the older woman, and Lily smiled back in return.

- Good girl… I wish my son could end up with someone like you Nymphadora... Your support would be a good help for him – Lily winked at the younger woman.

Nymphadora blushed, it seems like she has been caught by the mother of the boy that was starting to catch her attention, she wouldn't say that she's in love with him, but she didn't dislike the idea of seeing him every day and do other things besides training with him.

The next morning, Harry and Nymphadora were sparring, they were launching their best spells, the younger man felt in his element doing this, he always loved duels, he hated the fact that the teachers didn't encourage this too much, it was important to learn how to defend yourself, otherwise the point of magic would be based in just fairy tales.

As for Nymphadora, she was confident about her skills, she is a licensed Auror after all, there's nothing that she needs to worry about, she knows that she can defeat Harry easily, she just needs to focus on her moves, she knows him too well, or at least she thought that.

An explosion happened in the middle of the field, there were tons of dust surrounding the place and there was confusion in the air, Nymphadora was trying her best to not lose her focus on the battle, as for Lily, she was looking with extreme interest at the fight, she was studying Harry's moves, she couldn't help but see her former husband in his moves, she could only smile at the thought, she was sure that her husband would've been proud of her son right now, seeing that he was able to spare with an Auror.

On the battlefield, little by little, the dust was disappearing and Nymphadora was getting ready to attack, but suddenly, she stopped moving the moment she felt something poking against her back, she looked back, and there he was Harry, smirking with overconfidence after what he just did.

- Got ya – He said but Nymphadora smirked back and she managed to get out of the grip.

Both of them attacked once again, their speels were clashing against the other and they were fighting to see who was going to defeat the other, they were putting lots of efforts to defeat the person in front of them, but Harry seemed to be the one that was getting an advantage, and then, it happened once again, there was a big explosion of magic and after that happened, Harry was completely unconscious.

Lily quickly appeared beside them.

- Just like I thought… His hormones are acting like crazy… They're messing with his magic! – Lily commented with a worried expression.

- What do we do? – Asked Nymphadora completely worried about this, if they don't manage to solve this problem, they would be in clear danger.

- There's no other way to solve this… We need to have sex with him – Lily commented with a serious expression.

Nymphadora was confused, she thought that she had heard wrong, she was expecting the red-haired woman to laugh suddenly, but that didn't happen, it seems like she was being serious about this, now Nymphadora knew why she told her if she was willing to do anything to save Harry.
