The Astral War was a terrible 20 year conflict between two alliance of alien races, the Nova Alliance headed up by the Nova Corp and the Imperative lead by the Chitauri. All over the galaxy the roar raged. When it was clear that there was no end in sight a Terran-Spartoi hybrid named Peter Quill gathered a band of hero together and formed the Guardians of the Galaxy to help the Nova Alliance, this team was comprise of Peter Quill who called himself Star-Lord (after one of his favourite bands) Starhawk, Charlie-27, Firesword (another human from Earth), Aleta, Major Victory, Talon, Krugarr, Matrinex, a Nova Corpsman and The ravager Yondu Udonta. Together they fought the toughest battles of the war, including the Mercurian Siege. Afar that event Star Lord took his team to Earth to relax until they were needed again, and there Peter met a beautiful woman named Inko Midoriya and started to court her. A couple of years later their son Izuku Peter Midoriya was born. But it was at this point the Guardians had re-entered the war where the homeworld of Peter's paternal side was sieged by the Imperative's top agents: The Black Order. After the Battle of Spartax, only Firesword and the Nova Corpsman were alive.
Shortly after the fight Firesword arrived on Earth and informed Inko of the lost of Star-Lord, helping her mourn the death of her husband before eventually marrying Inko and becoming Izuku's stepfather. Even though Firesword left the war behind the war didn't forget about Firesword, or the Sol system. For there was a second siege of the Solar System! This time several planets were attacked including Earth. The heroes of Earth fought valiantly to fend off the forces of the Imperative, but they were successful in their mission to kidnap Izuku Midoriya. Upon arrive at their main ship the Imperative forces dumped their prisoners into what could only be called a prison ship. Izuku was scared out of his mind as he was forced into a cell with several others. He found out one of them was a soldier named Richard Rider, who served on a small team with his father, there were a couple of other soldiers, a walking tree, a talking racoon, a woman with green skin, a man with teal skin and blood red tattoos. All he knew as that this wasn't Earth and that there was no way back home for him, just yet. One of the human soldiers looked on mournfully
"How long have we been in these flarking cells?" Rocket asked, who was a raccoon that could speak and had multiple scars that was covered in fur, plus a mouth that knew every single swear word from several galaxies and Groot's partner in crime
"I am Groot" Groot said
"I agree" Rocket said
"How's the kid?" Drax asked. Drax the Destroyer was once was a human that during a cruise with his family when an Imperative scout was seen by them leading to their deaths. To survive the human Arthur Douglas has his mind and soul fused into the body of a Kylosian warrior who was brain dead.
"I'm fine" Izuku said as he laid on his bed in the cell where he and the others were kept in
"That's good" Rocket said before the cell started to move
"Feeding time" Drax said as the group walked towards the centre
"I wish they would make the shit they feed us taste better" Rocket said
"I Agree" Gamora who was a green skinned alien dubbed a Zen-Whobis that was kidnapped and forcibly adopted by the Imperative's leader Thanos said as she, Ko-rel, a blue skinned woman with long white hair and Phyla-Vell, who appeared to be human walked over as a machine dispenses several bowls of a pale sludge
"I am Groot"
"You said it Groot" Rocket said
"So Commander, any hope of rescue?" Sam asked, where wore a blue uniform with two gold circles on his chest
"Not yet sparky" Richard said, who wore the same uniform as Sam and Ko-rel
"Damn" Sam said
"We'll get out of here Sam" Ko-Rel said
"Is that before or after this slop kills us?" Phyla-Vell asked, she was a Kree-Eternal and looked like a human with short white hair.
"I question that as well" Jack said who had red, white and blue hair with an old earth styled military uniform on.
"Let's just be patient" Richard said "I'm sure we'll get out of here soon"
It was during their sleep cycle when all of the cells were in lockdown the prisoners were asleep when the roar of an explosion sound, shattering the peace as Nova Corp Centurions and Spartoi soldiers flooded the prison
"Locate Commander Rider" a Centurion said make the others around him nod
"We must empty these cells of prisoners" A Spartoi Soldier who wore a red and black military uniform with a full helmet said as he used his blaster to cut down any Chitauri or Sakaaran that came their way. Izuku and his cellmates were awoken by the sounds and saw the door open
"Follow me" Richard said as the group exited their cell and followed him to a place
"What is this place?" Drax asked
"This is where they hold all of the prisoner's belongings" Richard said
"Sweet" Sam said as the all rushed to get their armour and gear, all expect Izuku who looked around nervous
"Izuku right, your dad was Peter Quill?" Richard asked
"Yeah" Izuku said
"I thought so, meaning these are yours" Richard said making everyone stop as a box was handed to Izuku, "Those Lizards kept these as trophies for when they killed him" the Nova Centurion went on "Now these are yours"
"My day owned these?" he asked opening the box, revealing a red leather duster, a mask of some kind, two alien guns and a old looking device
"And I think he would be proud that you could become the next Star Lord" Richard said as he pulled on his golden helmet making the two circles on the chest of his armour glow white. Sam and Ko-rel's armours doing the same thing when they pulled on their blue helmets. Smilling and nodding Izuku pulled on the coat, equipped the mask and grabbed the guns before looking at the brick of a device
"That was your father's walkman. He never left his ship without it, and always used it to play music in the heat of battle" Richard said
"Did it help?" Izuku asked
"You bet ya it did, it got the team focused and ready to fight" Richard said
"Okay" Izuku said clipping it onto his belt and pressing play.
"rising up back on the street, took our time, took our chances" the music blared
"Ah, Eye of the Tiger, a good song for a fight" Richard said.
"Ah thanks" Izuku shrugged

Izuku was first out of the armoury twirling his twin energy weapons and started to fire them off at those who were charging at them, behind him the Nova Corps soldiers were using the powers of the Nova force to fight back as Sakaaran and Chitauri troopers raced at them. Drax grabbed a Sakaaran warrior and used it as a hammer to smack a Chitauri into the wall. Gamora then stabbed the Chitauri in the wall
"I AM GROOT!" Groot shouted as he pointed to some Sakaaran snipers
"I've got them bud" Rocket said pulling out a BFG and fired at them, creating a spray of green energy rounds at them making the enemies duck for cover
"We have to move!" Sam shouted
"You don't hear me complaining" Izuku said as he grabbed a grenade and threw it at them making it send out a shockwave after exploding
"Sonic Grenade nice" Phylla said
"Was that what that was?" Izuku asked
"Yes, now come on, if they have his coat, mask and coat then they will have you father's ship as a trophy" Richard said
"You think they have the Milano?" Ko-Rel asked shocked
"I do, now let's move" Richard said as they took down wave after wave of Imperative soldiers when the sounds of gunfire exploded around them
"NC76 pulse rifles!' Ko-rel shouted
"Must be reinforcement" Rocket shouted out
"This is Captain Rider, I have a new Guardians team and we need access to hangar, everyone on this frequency clear us a path" Richard shouted
"ROGER!" all the Nova corpsman said as their ferocity increased
Soon they had reached the hangar
"Okay so where is this ship?" Rocket asked
"Right there, that's the Milano" Richard said pointing to an orange, blue and silver M-Class ship
"M-Class nice" Rocket said
"If it has been here the whole time why didn't you use it" Gamora said
"For that matter why didn't they?" Rocket asked
"Turns out before Pete was killed, he added a genetic lock" Richard said
"Meaning I'm the only one who can open it" Izuku said
"Yeah" Richard said
"Let's go, we need to get out of here" Drax shouted as several Chitarui Berserkers were charging at them. Izuku thinking fast twirled his new element blasters and fired out a stream of ice making a thick wall between the two groups
"That will buy us some time" Richard said
"HEY HURRY UP!" Rocket snapped
"I am Groot" Groot said
"I don't care if I'm smaller or faster than them, they should have been behind me" Rocket shouted
"Furry rodent" Drax said.
"Moment of truth" Richard said
"Yeah" Izuku said as he placed his hand on the panel near the rear hatch
"Come on" Rocket said
"That ice will break soon" Phylla said
"Got it" Izuku said as the rear hatch opened up. Izuku was surprise
"Inside now!" Richard shouted as the prisoners got in
"I am Groot" Groot said pulling Izuku inside
"Thanks, I guess" Izuku said
"I am Groot" the walking tree smiled as the two walked into the main area
"Izuku, its ready for you" Richard said
"You mean?" Izuku asked shocked
"Go ahead my young friend" Richard said "She's all yours" he said as Izuku sat in the pilot's seat and took the controls
"Did dad have any particular song he liked to listen top while flying?" Izuku asked
"Track 21" Richard said as Izuku switched to it

This brings me back" Richard shouted as Izuku powered up the engine
"Rocket what are our weapons like?" Izuku asked
"Full power why?" Rocket asked just as the targeting reticule was shown on the main holographic screen
"You're not" Ko-rel said
"I think he is" Sam said
"I like your thinking" Richard clapped him on the shoulders before Izuku blasted a hole in the hull of the prison ship they were held captive in
"HERE WE GO!" Izuku shouted as he went full throttle, only to go no where
"The clamps" Sam said
"Ah Right" Izuku said
"I'll deal with them" Richard said
"Captain no" Sam said
"I'll be fine, just get ready to leave" Richard said as he flew out of the Milano
"Hey Kid you better be ready" Rocket said
"This will not be easy to do so" Gamora said
"What do you mean" Izuku said
"I am groot" Groot said
"Huh?" Izuku asked
"GO NOW!" Richard shouted
"Roger" Izuku said slamming the throttle open and shot out of the ship liek a bullet out of a gun would, forcing Izuku back into hsi seat
"WHOA!" they all shouted before Izuku eased off the throttle
"Time timing kid!" Rocket snapped
"Huh?" Izuku asked
"We got Chitauri starfighters being launched" Drax said
"But what do I do?" Izuku panicked, he was a kid from Earth who was taken from the planet
"It's alright, you remember who you brought up that thing to aim at the door?" Ko-rel asked
"Yeah" Izuku said bringing it up again.
"Now when it turns green open fire" Ko-rel said
"Sure" Izuku said as the circle turned green as a Starfighter was in the middle of it, Izuku fired making short work of it
"Nice shot kid!" Rocket said as Izuku started heading for the massive Nova corps fleet
Soon they managed to get clear of the fight and relax
"You are like your father" Richard said
"Thanks" Izuku said as he flicked over to the autopilot and sank back in his ship
"You know, I think this could work" Sam said
"What?" Rocket asked
"I am Groot"
"You think we can be the new guardians of the galaxy?" Rocket asked
"I am Groot"
"Not a bad idea" Richard said
"Really?" Izuku said
"Yeah the Guardians were a force for good when we operated, heck we managed to help win several battles in the early stages of this war" Richard said "They helped the Alliance win several large battles"
"Okay" Izuku said
"What?" those gathered asked
"Yeah, besides I think it would be an insult to my dad not to continue this venture"
"Well then; all those willing to join stand" Richard said. After a few moments all of them stood up "Okay, Izuku Midoriya, Arthur Douglas, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Phylla-Vell, Jack Flag. I hereby declare you be the Guardians of the Galaxy!" Richard said as Sam and Ko-rel joined him.
"Thank you sir" Izuku said "I Hope we don't let you down"
"You won't Izuku, I know that" Richard said as a Nova shuttle connected to them allowing the Nova Corps units to leave "And I look forward to seeing how you help guard the galaxy" he said smiling as the door closed.
G'day Guys Grizz here I'm back with a brand new My Hero academia crossover, this one being with Guardians of the Galaxy, yeah blame me playing the game, which is probably one of the best Marvel Games I've play and my favourite game of the year I've played.
So much like what I did with Aquaman I made Izuku the son of Star Lord, who I made a member of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team from the original comics. Yeah that is where most of the inspiration for this fic will come from and maybe a bit from the movies but mostly the comics since everyone is doing stuff from the movies
Now the next chapter will jump a bit and we'll see more of the My Hero Academia side of things including some potential love interests, now I may make this a harem or I may just make it a solo love interest
