"Last time on TOTAL POKÉMON ACTION.. we headed to the beach to have some fun, beginning with pearl collecting! While Zach and Art crushed it, but Mira and Otto.. not so much. The Azumarills managed to pull out the win for the first part, but ultimately fell apart and crumbled during the ice cream scooping due to Nathan and Sam being out of shape! And also because the team wasn't being a team, but that's irrelevant.. ultimately, the blame fell on Sam, and despite her bestie Reese's efforts to save her, Mira's vote wasn't enough to protect Sam from the gluttonous Vince in an ice cream eating tiebreaker! With the Sylveon gone for good, 12 remain! What theme will the campers have to deal with next? Find out this episode on.. TOTAL! POKÉMON! ACTION!"

- Episode Begin -
"..Ohh, so that's how you play blackjack! Took me long enough to realize.." Andy sighed, having already lost quite a few times. Art had brought along a pack of cards, with Cloud, Andy, Otto, and Art sitting down at a table together.
"Well, how about we give it another go?" Art offered to Andy, before he agreed. Who would come out on top? Art's cards totalled 11, while Andy had a 17. Would he stay, or would he pick up another card and hope that Art got unlucky?
"..I'll take another card." Art flipped over the card.. and it was a bust! Art had won by default, as Andy had gone over 21. "..Well then, that clearly didn't work out."
"At least this is safer than some other challenge the host has cooked up.." Cloud was simply watching them play, stating he would rather not play cards. Nobody really knew why though.. they could only guess what crazy reason he had for it.
"How about I give it a go?" Otto suggested, as Art nodded. Art had a 13, and Otto had an 18. "..I think the best move is to stay here." Art nodded, as he flipped over the rest of the cards. It was a bust! Otto had won by default.
"..Guess i'm more fortunate than poor Andy here." Otto laughed a little, while Andy just shrugged it off and decided to go back to playing on his portable console.
"Ooh, you're playing Tetris again? Let me play also!" Cloud exclaimed, while the two of them ran off to Arceus knows where to be geeks for a few hours. Art and Otto were left there.
"Well, bonding with the others seems to be going well enough for you." Art commented, as Otto nodded.
"Definitely am. Glad that we're getting a few episodes to really develop relationships rather than going to elimination like the other team. We have to lose eventually though. Nobody gets lucky forever." Otto looked at Art, trying to think rationally.
"We're going to have to make a tough decision at some point to benefit both of us. Someone will have to go home. I do agree, we won't get lucky forever. But for now, I believe we can take it easy a bit." Art's relaxed demeanor was a normality for him at this point.
"..I'm going to read my novel," Otto said as Art nodded, and he walked off.
"Looks like i'm on my own again.." Art said, as he decided to head off to train a bit by himself in the forest.
- Confessional Begin -
"Art clearly knows what he's doing. He seems calm, and when I can get a bit panicked sometimes, he'll be a very useful asset. For now, i'm just going to have to bide my time and figure out what to do with my ally." Otto held his novel in his hand as he spoke.

While Andy and Cloud were playing Tetris together in the arts and crafts tent, Layla happened to come across the two. "..What're you guys doing in here? It's pretty late." Cloud turned to speak to her, as it was Andy's turn playing Tetris at the moment.
"We were just playing Blackjack with Art and Otto, actually. Now we're just in here playing on Andy's console thingy like usual." Layla seemed intrigued.
"You two sure are close! I didn't know you guys even were really friends until now. Guess I should've been paying more attention.. I was kind of busy trying to navigate the entire film lot. I kind of forgot everything from the monster movie challenge, and I was looking for the mess hall.." She sighed, clearly annoyed with herself.
Andy, having lost the game, turned his attention to Layla. "I mean, the mess hall is actually the tent right next to this one. I do have a question for you two that i've been waiting to ask, though." Cloud and Layla looked at Andy curiously. What was it the Rockruff had to say?
"Okay, so on one paw, we have Cloud and me being geeks and having fun. On the other paw, we have me and Layla hanging out and becoming good friends during the monster movie challenge. Bring those paws together.. and we have an unstoppable three-person alliance! The Terrific Trio! Are you guys in?" Andy's tail wagged, as he was clearly excited about the idea.
"..As long as this alliance doesn't turn dangerous, i'm in." Cloud smiled.
"How does an alliance get dangerous anyway- Layla! Are you in!?" Andy looked at her expectedly.
"Totally! Cloud seems like an awesome guy, and I just know that this alliance is destined to go to the end together!" Layla smiled as well, as the three put their paws together, or in Cloud's case, his claw, and cheered together. "The Terrific Trio!"
"..I better go to the mess hall now, like I planned.." Layla waved goodbye to the Flygon and Rockruff, making her exit and walking over to the mess hall.
- Confessional Begin -
Andy seemed ecstatic as he spoke in the confessional. "Haha, I did it! I got my two closest friends in this game together to go all the way to the end! Now to just actually get there.. not exactly sure how to do that, but i'm sure it'll all work itself out!"
- Confessional End -
Jenny and June were simply having a small conversation on June's bed. "..So, you're telling me this next challenge isn't going to go well for us? That's a bit.. concerning."
"I don't really know what to say, but I can just feel that unless we do something big to change that outcome we're going to lose. And i'm worried how things are going to turn out for us, considering that we're not really close with anybody else on this team.. who knows what groups have started to form while we've been missing out?" June gave Jenny a concerned look.
"We shouldn't be too worried, June. I'm sure everything will be fine if the team can keep it together, and we work extremely well in challenges. It'll be okay, just trust me. Don't let your nerves get to you." Jenny gave June a reassuring smile, which made June question herself.
- Confessional Begin -
"..The truth is, I usually have great intuition, but it feels like Jenny is hijacking that somehow. I almost never doubt myself, but- wow. She really convinced me. Maybe I should just go with the flow." June seemed conflicted.
- Confessional End -
Zach and Vince were talking together in the mess hall. Layla silently passed them, grabbing a banana which was left out as a snack. She decided to secretly listen in on their conversation.
"..Wait, what? Why isn't Nathan trustworthy?"
"Have you seen him? That knucklehead has fallen deep in love with that Azumarill! As soon as I overheard him giving her that necklace, I knew it was over! There's no way we can work with him long-term if he's going to be fawning over her."
"I guess you're right.. in a way.. but what are we going to do about it? We can just ask him to please not vote against us, right?" Vince tilted his head.
"No. We're going to say we're targeting Reese, but then go talk to Reese about making a deal. Then we'll see who she wants to take out; the spoiled rich girl or the walking mushroom."
"..Oh, okay! That's a really smart plan, Zach! Good job!" Vince praised Zach, and the Buizel beamed with pride. Layla simply just quickly dashed out of the mess hall, accidentally knocking over a trash can.
"..Wha? Who was that?" Vince asked curiously, but before Zach responded, he was already out the door, chasing them.
- Confessional Begin -
"..I don't think something is right.. I like Nathan, but now the team is just growing more divided. I'm worried i'm going to have to vote him off! But he's my friend.. but so is everybody else.. ugh, why is everything so hard!?" Vince sighed in frustration.
- Confessional End -
Layla could hear Zach chasing him, but she quickly cut through a forest set and dove in a bush. The Buizel ran right past her, and then she quickly sprinted back to her own cabin. Dashing in and shutting the door, the Cinccino nearly collapsed on the floor from all the physical exertion.
"..Are you alright?" Jenny asked, as she quickly walked over to the clearly exhausted Layla.
"I'm.. fine, Jenny.. thanks for being concerned, I guess.." Layla stood up, taking a few deep breaths. Jenny, though still concerned, nodded and went back over to June.
- Confessional Begin -
"That was way too close! Thanks Arceus that weasel didn't catch me! I guess I know who the real villain of this game is now.. gonna have to watch out for him. I don't know if I should warn Mira or Nathan, though.." Layla tapped her paws on the counter in front of her, clearly not sure what to do.
- Confessional End -
Zach, annoyed, entered the cabin to find Reese glaring at him. "..Why're you giving me that look?" He asked in annoyance.
"You know exactly why. You voted off Sam. And I don't care what sick excuse you have for it, you are going to PAY. You hear me?"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, you want revenge, blah blah, look, i'm dealing with a more pressuring issue. You weren't spying on me in the mess hall, were you?"
"No. I don't need to spy on you. I already know you're a terrible Pokémon." Reese turned away.
"..Okayyyy then.." Zach was caught off guard as Vince ran in.
"Oh, Zach! I was wondering where you went! Anyway, i'm back.. i'm gonna take a nap.." Before Vince even realized it, he was on the ground. "..I should prob..ably.. go in my b.." He was already asleep from the comfy floor interior that covered the trailer; it seemed to be a warm rug.
"..That was weird." Zach simply climbed up to his bed, preparing to go to bed. He caught Reese glaring at him one more time before the lights went off in the trailer.
- Confessional Begin -
"..I'm not even sure what's worse anymore.. Reese actively resenting me, or risking a tiebreaker against lover boy and his rich girlfriend. It'll be a long shot either way." Zach seemed a bit annoyed he had to make such a choice in the first place.

- Timeskip: Next Morning -
Everyone was rather confused when they woke up. The beds felt surprisingly cold.. until they realized it wasn't their beds- they were on the floor! And it wasn't like the rugs in the trailer. As everyone looked around, they realized they were in CELLS!
"..I don't even want to ask what's going on with this challenge," Cloud exclaimed, as everyone was separated into teams, with the Rockruffs being in one cell and the Azumarills being in another.
"I mean, we at least know we didn't actually get arrested, because they'd definitely separate us by team if we were actual fugitives," Otto said sarcastically, while the twelve Pokemon heard a crackle as a loudspeaker turned on.
"Hello, prisoners! This is Warden Anderson speaking! Aka, your host! Your challenge today is to escape from this totally real prison! If you look to your right, you'll see a Dragonite guarding the only exit to this place." The Dragonite waved, having what looked like a bag with some miscellaneous items inside. Perhaps there was something useful there?
"He seems friendly enough!" Jenny commented, before Kai spoke again through the loudspeaker.
"I doubt befriending him will work, though. Unless you can convince him to give up a few thousand bucks, he won't be letting any of you through! All I can say is try your best to escape. The team with the most people out of here when 4 hours have passed will become today's winners! Is that understood?" Nobody seemed to object to the rules. "Then go ahead and start getting creative!" The cells opened, allowing everyone to exit the cells.
- Confessional Begin -
"Wow, I didn't expect to be in prison for this challenge. It seems super cool, though! I've watched a ton of prison movies, like that one with the Bunnelby lawyer! This challenge should be super fun!" Andy smiled into the camera.
- Confessional End -
"So, first question: do we work together as a unit or do we divide and conquer?" Art asked, as nobody seemed to speak up immediately.
"It might be a better idea to split up. I mean, not all of us are going to be able to leave this place at once, so if we split up it'll work better for us," June said, as everyone seemed to agree and walked off.
"Alright, guys, here's the pla- Reese?! At least let me talk! I know you hate me, but come on!" Zach sighed with annoyance as the Skitty continued to walk off. Mira surprisingly followed, catching Nathan off guard.
- Confessional Begin -
"So, I know that Mira voted for Vince last episode. I don't know why, but she's acting like it never happened! What am I even supposed to do about it? If I confront her during the challenge, i'll look like a jerk on national television! The things that I have to deal with!" Nathan seemed thoroughly annoyed.
- Confessional End -
"..Vince, Nathan, come on, let's go-" Before Zach could finish, Vince had already run off to somewhere else. The Buizel sighed, before turning to Nathan. "Looks like it's just you and me. I'm glad, because now I can talk to you about Mira." Nathan seemed suspicious.
"..Go on. This is about last elimination, right? Because I still don't know what happened with her. I told her to vote for Sam, she didn't, and now i'm mad at her. She isn't even apologizing! I'm honestly stuck, because I can't.. confront her! If I did, she'd never forgive me, and i'd probably go home," Nathan said.
"You do have a point there. Being a jerk to her won't do any good, and even I know that. What you DO need to do is get her in check and make sure that she isn't going to pull something crazy with Reese again! You better not let them get to you." Nathan seemed startled by the hostility, but nodded. "Glad we're on the same page then.. come on, let's go figure out where Vince went." The two began to try and find their ally.
"..And I don't know how to apologize to him or talk about it! I told him i'd vote for Sam, and I didn't, so I know he's mad at me! He's totally ignoring me and hasn't said anything to me since the elimination about it!" Mira was talking to Reese while sitting down at one of the prison's cafeteria tables.
"What you need to do after the challenge is sincerely apologize, and explain how badly we need him. Vince is pretty much going to follow Zach's every command and Nathan is the swing vote here," Reese explained, as Mira nodded. Strangely, they saw Vince carrying an apple pie out of the kitchen.
"..Vince, what're you doing with a whole apple pie?" Mira asked, clearly confused.
"I wanted to offer it to our dragon friend! I think he'll like it a lot!" Vince said, as Reese tried to hold back a bit of laughter.
"..Okay. Go on and do that then.." Reese said, as the Yamper happily sped away.
- Confessional Begin -
"I don't even know what to say! That was- insane. How does Vince think an apple pie will win the dragon over? He got paid several thousand dollars!" Reese chuckled a bit.
- Confessional End -
"..Is that apple pie?" The Dragonite asked Vince curiously.
"Sure is! If you let me through you can keep all of it! I really want to win this challenge!" Vince exclaimed, as the Dragonite thought for a minute.
"..Kai said nothing about bribes, and I love apple pie, so go on ahead!" He swiped the door with his keycard, opening it temporarily for the Yamper to happily skip out.
"..And Vince has escaped for the Azumarills!" Kai announced over the loudspeaker, as Reese looked completely shocked. Mira began to laugh while Reese sighed.
"What in Arceus' name? What could Vince have POSSIBLY done to escape without us!?" Zach asked, clearly very confused.
"I mean, who knows? That Yamper can do all kinds of wacky things. You've seen him. I guess he found something wacky enough to escape," Nathan said, while Zach didn't seem to disagree.
"Anyway, I have an idea. Follow me!" Zach ran over to the Dragonite, and he began to insult it. "You're.. stupid! Let us out!"
"..That wasn't very nice!" The Dragonite seemed to be a bit annoyed at Zach. Before long, it became apparent to Nathan that Zach was getting the Dragonite angry enough for it to attack.
"..Zach, I don't think this is a good idea! You should back off!" Nathan kept yelling at Zach to stop, but he kept taunting the dragon. Before long, the dragon snapped.
- Confessional Begin -
"..Of course all of the anger management classes do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when I need them most!" The Dragonite had come into the confessional, frustrated.
- Confessional End -
Before long, Zach was on the floor, having fainted. The Dragonite calmed down and just seemed rather upset. They heard the loudspeaker turn on, before two nurses entered, putting Zach on a gurney before carrying him away. "Unfortunately, due to medical and legal reasons, Zach is being taken to the infirmary and technically wins the challenge.. The Azumarills lead with two."
"..Hey, uhh.. Dragonite guy? Don't worry about hurting Zach. He's a pretty big jerk anyway, and I don't plan on sticking with him for too long," Nathan commented, which resulted in the Dragonite smiling in response. Nathan then walked away.
- Confessional Begin -
"I don't really get what Zach's deal was, but his plan did work, I guess, and he got his karma.. maybe he has a high pain tolerance or something, which is why he did it.. well, i'll at least say this: I hope he didn't die," Nathan said while thinking.
- Confessional End -
Otto, hearing the announcement about the Azumarills having two points and Zach escaping, turned to Art who he was walking with. "I think we should try and think outside the box on this one.."
"That doesn't seem like a terrible idea, but how do you suggest we 'think outside the box'?" Art asked, while Otto tapped his paws on a nearby table. He looked at the walls, where a high-positioned vent sat.
"..I can climb through the vents," Otto said, pointing to the vent. Art, realizing this, nodded as the two headed over to the vent. "..It's really high though, and I doubt that just me standing on your shoulders will work..."
"I mean, we simply could just grab a nearby table and pull it over here.." Art said, while it hit Otto. The two quickly began to pull a nearby table over, and pushed it against the wall. They both stood on top of the table, with Art allowing Otto to stand on his shoulders. Otto accidentally whacked Art in the face with his tail.
"Come on, Otto, be more careful please.." Art sighed, while Otto opened the vent and looked in. It seemed rather small, even for him..
"..That's gonna be a really tight squeeze.. do you think you can find another way out, Art?"
"I don't think it's impossible, go ahead and climb through the vents; if it's a dead end, you can head back here and call me," Art said, as Otto nodded and slowly began to crawl through the vent. Art heard the Oshawott cursing as he hit his head on the vent ceiling.
"..Well then, guess i'll have to find some other method then," Art said as he walked away from the vent, leaving the table and the vent where they were.
Andy and (surprisingly) June had ended up together. The two didn't really have much to say to each other while walking; they hadn't really talked at all before this, and it just naturally felt a bit awkward between the two. They looked around for ideas on an exit, before June thought up something creative.
"..Hey, Andy, right?" She asked, while the Rockruff nodded. "I think I have an idea: show the Dragonite your portable console and distract him while I can grab the keycard in his bag. Does that sound good to you?"
"That's actually really clever.. I do want to apologize for not talking to you earlier. I've just been gaming with Cloud and doing all the challenges, so I just never really got the chance.." Andy seemed remorseful.
"Don't worry about it. Just promise you'll keep me safe if we lose this challenge," June said, as the Rockruff reluctantly nodded and agreed. "Alright then, let's set this plan into motion!" She exclaimed, while the two headed over to the Dragonite.
"..Hey, Dragonite guy! Do you wanna check out this game? It's called Tetris!" Andy said, while June sneakily zipped open the bag the Dragonite was wearing and pulled out a blue card. It looked like they were going to get out of there! She quickly zipped it back shut and stepped away, relieved that the plan had worked without any major problems. That's when she realized: there was one.. Andy was busy playing Tetris with the dragon now! Guess she would have to wait.. why was he so dedicated to this distraction thing anyway!?
- Timeskip: 20 Minutes Later -
Andy and Dragonite FINALLY finished their Tetris gaming session, and June heaved a sigh of relief. "..Sorry, June, sorry!" Andy said, as she swiped the keycard and ran out with Andy.
"..I got tricked!? DAMN IT!" The Dragonite seemed frustrated all over again.
- Confessional Begin -
"I've always been great at making up plans and such. To be honest, the reason is I was a thief a few years ago.. i've kind of grown out of that reckless behavior, but having that skill definitely helped me during this challen-" June heard a thump and some groaning as she saw a rather annoyed Otto pop out of a vent attached to the ceiling!
"..Ohh, so that's where the vents were leading to," He said, while June just seemed shocked.
"You heard what I said.. didn't you?" She asked.
"I did, actually. Don't worry though, your secret is safe with me.. as long as you don't vote me off randomly." Both of them nodded and exited the confessional.
- Confessional End -
"Otto has finally finished crawling through the vents for the Rockruffs, along with June and Andy escaping! The Rockruffs lead 3-2 out of nowhere! Only 10 minutes left, people! Get to it!"
Reese and Mira were still together, and they figured that they would have to do something big if they wanted to escape on time.
"..Wait, I just realized something. How flimsy are these walls? Are they that strong?" Reese asked, while Mira didn't seem to have an answer. "So why not try just.. wearing the wall down until it cracks open?" It finally hit Mira.
"..Wow, that's a really smart solution."
"..No, not really, and I doubt it'll work, but maybe the hosts are too lazy to make the walls too strong." Reese said, clearly not confident, but both of them kept trying to wear down the wall with moves like Water Gun and Tackle. And just when it seemed there was no time left.. the wall cracked open, and the two ran out! Everyone left heard a buzzer.
"Time is up, people! Mira and Reese made a last-minute escape, which means the Azumarills FINALLY win a challenge for themselves! Rockruffs, tough luck, but today you've lost your first challenge of the summer!" The Dragonite at the entrance of the jail opened the door, allowing everybody to exit that way.
- Timeskip: Back at Camp -
"..It feels weird being the only person who didn't escape," Nathan commented, while the team sat in the mess hall. Zach was sitting with them, but it looked like his left arm was in a cast.
"How am I even supposed to compete with a BROKEN ARM? This is absolutely ridiculous!" Zach said, while everyone was pitying him. Nobody wanted to play the game with a broken arm- even if Zach was a jerk, did he really deserve this?
"..Anyway, uhm- I just wanted to tell you Nathan.. sorry about the last elimination. I still feel bad about lying to you," Mira said, looking ashamed.
"Don't feel bad. It'll all be alright. We won, after all! We can finally take a break.." Nathan walked over to Mira, offering a hug. She was caught off guard, but allowed herself to be hugged and seemed to be feeling better.
Meanwhile, in the Arts & Crafts tent..
"..Who do we even vote for?" Andy asked, looking at Layla and Cloud for answers, but nobody spoke up. Suddenly, Art stepped in.
"I heard that you're looking for who to vote for.. I usually come in here before the elimination to think, but it looks like you three beat me to it. Well, if you want my suggestion, probably Jenny. As kind as she is, she didn't escape, and she's probably going to socially be a threat later down the line." All three were surprised that Art was being so open.
"Well then, I guess you're.. right. I mean, there isn't much arguing to be done with that anyway. Sure, we'll vote for Jenny." Layla looked at the two, and all of them nodded.
- Confessional Begin -
"Me and Otto had a talk. He told me about his promise with June, and he figured that Jenny would be the most ideal vote. June formerly being a thief is interesting too.. anyway, yeah, chances are Jenny'll be heading home this episode, even if she doesn't exactly deserve it.." Art was looking through a small backpack he had with him.
- Confessional End -
"..Who do you think we should vote for, June?" Jenny asked, while the Riolu looked glum. "..What's wrong?"
"Jenny, I don't think it matters that much. In all honesty, one of us is leaving today, and i'm upset. I guess we could vote for Cloud since he spent the entire challenge talking about how escaping prison was 'dangerous.' I assume that Cloud is going to be protected by Andy anyway, and he's pretty much liked by everybody.." Jenny didn't know exactly how to respond, and they just.. sat there for a while.
"..It doesn't matter if I go. It means you're still here, and that's enough for me.. it's time for the elimination anyway." Jenny got up, as June followed.
- Elimination Ceremony 3 -
"Welcome to your first elimination ceremony, Rockruffs! Use the electronic devices in front of you to cast your vote, and the person with the most votes WILL be eliminated!" Kai waited for the campers to cast their votes.
"...Alright then, let's get to it! If I call your name, you're safe! The first person safe is.. Andy." Andy caught his statue without issue. "..Huh, I expected that to hit my face."
"Layla." The Minccino smiled.
"Otto.." The Oshawott's expression didn't shift much.
"June.." She gave Jenny a sad look.
"..and Art." The Dewott nodded.
"Our bottom two is Sir Safety and Jenny! Cloud, your obsession with safety may have cost your team the challenge due to you.. doing nothing! Jenny, you're probably the most boring person here because you're just TOO DAMN nice! The last statue goes to.."
"..Cloud." The Flygon sighed with relief, while Jenny looked at her team. "I can't say I didn't expect this, but I wish all of you the best of luck. Especially you, June. I know you have it in you to win this entire game. Never stop fighting." She smiled, while June tried to hold back tears. The Clefairy entered the Lame-o-sine as it drove away.
"..Bye.. Jenny." June sighed, knowing she was too late.
"Now that Jenny the Clefairy has been eliminated and the Rockruffs have lost a challenge, 11 of our campers remain! Will the Azumarills be able to keep up this momentum? Will Vince manage to miraculously win another challenge? And will somebody ACTUALLY get arrested by the end of the season? Find out next time on.. TOTAL! POKEMON! ACTION!"
