After an eventful day and many surprises, the students had gone to sleep, but some couldn't rest well, thinking about all the changes in the life, including the new living spaces.
Izuku had a lot to think about himself as he tossed and turned in his sleep. The big battle involving One for All and the many heroes, Bakugo's rescue, All Might's retirement, moving to the UA Dorms, last but not least, his conversation with Mayday.
The fact that she knew about One for All was surprising to say the least, but she seems to have done a good job of keeping it a secret, so that's not an issue for him.
Hearing about her uncle Ben Reily, the Scarlet Spider, made him kind of happy. While it was a sad story and he deeply sympathized with her, knowing that this is a pain that no one should go through, but unfortunately inevitable, he's still happy with the fact that she trusted him with something like that meant a lot, now he knows a bit more about her. It was a bittersweet moment.
The biggest surprise was her revealing her true feelings towards him, that she was in love with him. Actually he probably shouldn't be too surprised given how attached to him she could be, but it didn't take away from the shock. Izuku wasn't sure what to feel, he did remember that after she told him, he simply nodded and wished her goodnight, leaving her in her room. This possibly made her feel confused and embarrassed, and that made him feel worse. Right now he still needed sleep, though he still had one other issue, getting used to not living at home now.
It was a different environment, and a strange feeling that ensured. He could tell that he would be homesick for a while, he had to wonder if this is how the Parker family during their first visits to Japan.
That morning, everyone was getting ready for the day. The students brushed their teeth and enjoyed a nice breakfast together in the main hall.
Izuku sat with his friends, all of them discussing their plans for the day. The only one missing was Mayday, he turned to see if he spotted her, almost curious about the girl now. He saw that she was with Tsuyu, likely checking up on her. Tsuyu looked more cheerful this morning at least, so she's obviously doing better. The moment Mayday turned toward Izuku, he quickly turned away himself, almost embarrassed to look at her. For Mayday, this was probably gonna be a long and awkward day
The school day started, Aizawa's class was in session, "I know I mentioned this already, but your main goal this summer is to obtain provisional license."
"Yes sir!" The class replied.
"Do not take this lightly, a license like this means responsibility for human lives," Aizawa said. "The exam itself is quite difficult, with only a fifty percent passing rate."
"Is it really that hard!?" Mineta asked.
"In order to prepare, it's time to create something new," Aizawa said. The door opened to reveal the teachers Midnight, Cementoss and Ectoplasm. "You will be creating Ultimate Moves."
"Ultimate moves!?" many of the students asked in excitement.
"When we say Ultimate, we mean something to strike fear into your opponent," Ectoplasm said.
"An action so unique, no other person could easily copy it," Cementoss said.
"Your moves represent who you are, these days Ultimate Moves are more associated with pro heroes," Midnight said.
"Hold on, isn't this a bit strange?" Mayday asked. "I mean, flashy stuff is cool but making it a requirement makes it kind of less cool."
"We know it's a bit unusual Parker, but I will explain as the day goes on," Aizawa said. "For now, change into your costumes and meet in gym gamma."
It wasn't long before the class had arrived at the gym in question, a large building with a load of space.
"Nice building," Kirishima said.
"So much space," Mina added.
"This is Gym Gamma, otherwise known as the Training Dining Land," Aizawa said. "Or TDL for short."
"TDL? Doesn't quite roll off the tongue like USJ," Flurry said. "It does make me think of something similar."
"Probably something I'll hate," Mayday lamented. "Like any bad sponsorship my dad had to deal with."
"Stay focused," Aizawa instructed. "We're using this training space to help you figure out the moves you'll need for the upcoming exams."
"A question if I may sir," Tenya said, raising his hand. "What is the advantage of knowing these Ultimate Moves? Will you tell me your reasoning?"
"That's two questions," Aizawa said. "Dial it back a bit."
"Shouldn't a teacher encourage enthusiasm?" Mayday muttered to herself.
"A hero's job is to save lives from all types of emergencies, from villains to natural disasters," Aizawa said. "While the exam will focus on this, quick thinking will also play a factor in how well you do. A new test is done yearly to evaluate these qualities."
"One important factor of a pro hero is prevailing in battle," Midnight said. "If you prepare, you won't need to worry, those with an Ultimate have stronger results."
"Your circumstances should not dictate the results of your future battles," Cementoss said. "Learn consistency and you will be a great asset on the front lines."
"Your Ultimate move does not need to be an attack, like Iida's Reciprocal Burst," Ectoplasm said, getting the boy's attention. "His great increase in speed falls into the excellence we week."
"You mean...I had an ultimate move all along?" Tenya asked, feeling touched.
"So it's basically our secret weapon then," Sato confirmed.
"Of course, take Kamui Woods, his Laquez Chain Prison can capture opponents in an instant," Midnight explained. "Many of you may have seen other examples of this, such as Saiyaman's Kamehameha, or as he once called it, Super Great Saiyaman Beam."
"First one sounds cool, why'd he try changing it?" Kaminari asked.
"He did so to have it fit the Saiyaman style, but ultimately decided it was a bit insulting to his father Goku, along with Goku's martial arts Master, the Turtle Hermit Roshi who was the one who created the technique in the first place, so he reverted back to the original name," Midnight explained.
"Plus my mom told him it sounded dorky," Mayday added. "Honestly I'm surprised my mom said it and not my dad."
"Saiyaman's dad wasn't a pro though, what does he need an ultimate move for?" Kaminari asked.
"He's still a martial artist, they all have Ultimates," Mayday explained. "Like Ryu's Shin Shoryuken, or Terry Bogard's Power Geyser."
"Those guys are hardcore," Mina said. "Kirishima used to talk about them a lot in Middle School."
"Yeah, I thought they were both cool, the best martial artists in Japan and in America," Kirishima said.
"Alright, let's get back to the topic at hand," Aizawa said. "You were all supposed to develop these at the Training Camp, but the practice you managed to get is beneficial to these abilities. Now for the next ten days, you will be working to develop powerful moves of your own. This is how you will spend the rest of your summer. Now prepare for intensive training."
Cementoss had created a massive mountain like region, to the amazement of the students while Ectoplasm sent his clones to various parts of the structure.
"That's so neat," Flurry commented.
"Prepare for intensive training," Aizawa said. "Also you should consider how you improve your costumes since you understand your quirks. Now, do you have it in you to go Plus Ultra?"
"Yes sir!" the class said.
Izuku had one thing on his mind however, "What's my move?"
The training began, Oujiro battling an Ectoplasm clone, only to take a few hits and go down.
"You're relying too much on your tail," Ectoplasm's clone said. "Try to reexamine the basics of your fighting style."
"Of course sir," Oujiro said. "Weird since my tail is my power."
"Ultimate move, shooting acid from my hand! Super Geyser" Mina said, sending her acid out through both palms, demonstrating to an Ectoplasm clone. "What do you think! Just like the Kamehameha, only with acid!"
"Not bad, taking inspiration from Saiyaman is fine, but you need to work it to your advantage," Ectoplasm said. "Make a nossle with your hand to increase reach."
"Like this?" Mina asked, showing it off. "So awesome!"
"Perfect, now to increase the potency," Ectoplasm said.
Meanwhile Momo practiced with another clone, the teacher having his instruction for her. "Two Creations at the same time, you may start small."
"Yes sir," Momo said, generating two poles.
Nearby Flurry was blasting her love magic, creating heart shaped holes in the wall, "I had this one for a while, Saiyaman told me it's similar to a move that a hero from Space named Ribrianne does. It's my way of spreading love."
"Aesthetics are good, it gives your attacks an identity," Ectoplasm said. "But be weary of the flare and dramatics as you attack, you don't want to be left open. Also, it would not hurt to develop more skills."
"I can totally try something else," Flurry said. "But how do I make it love themed? Maybe a hug? Or a kiss attack! Like I shoot magic blasts from my kisses!"
"Whatever makes you comfortable," Ectoplasm's clone said. "Remember, this is not a game, you must take your next few steps seriously."
"Yes, sensei," Flurry said, readying her magic to experiment.
Mayday rushed at a clone, hitting it hard with an attack into the air, "Spider..." She then punched back down. "STING!"
"Not bad, your father has taught you well," Ectoplasm said, the clone standing back up.
"Thanks, but I'm still waiting for him to teach me more when it comes to special moves," Mayday said.
"Why wait? You may be Spider-Man's daughter, but you are not limited to his special moves," Ectoplasm said. "It would be beneficial to develop your own techniques, carve your own identity."
"My own moves huh?" Mayday said, checking her hands. "Well, I do want to make a name for myself."
"Are all of your quirk's abilities taken from your father? Or do you have abilities of your own that even he does not possess?" Ectoplasm asked.
"I might...I'm still working with it though, but now's a good of a time as any to practice, Mayday said, placing her hands on the floor. "Time to trap you in my web!"
Izuku looked on, everyone seemed to know what they wanted right away, "So amazing." Suddenly he took a hit to his head from an Ectoplasm Clone.
"Why are you not focusing?"
"Oh, sorry," Izuku said. "It's just my move, if I'm not careful and use up too much power, I could break my arms. I wouldn't know how to work around that."
"It is true that your quirk is unusual, the lack of consistency could be bothersome," Ectoplasm said. "For now, you should focus on developing your power."
"Yes sir," Izuku said.
As Aizawa looked on, he overheard a familiar voice, "Seems like things are going well." He turned to see All Might at the door.
"So, you're here too," Aizawa said.
All Might buffed up briefly, "I am here because it is my day off and I have nothing better to do!"
"Dude, come on," came the voice of Peter, the hero standing beside him along with Logan. "Don't put unnecessary strain on your body."
"You're here too, huh Spider-Man?" Aizawa asked.
"Just for a bit, the wife and friends are still recovering, so I have to keep their areas covered," Peter said. "Of course Deadpool and Pinkie Pie would help, if they were allowed to."
"Deadpool and Pinkie Pie should have done their jobs properly," Aizawa said.
"Come on, what's done is done," All Might said, walking into the gym and hoping to prevent an argument. "So, they're working on their big moves?"
"Big moves?" Peter asked.
"Yes, their Ultimate Attacks if you will," Midnight said.
"I don't remember this when I was a student here. Seriously though, Ultimate attacks?" Peter scratched his head in confusion. "Are you training them to be superheroes or video game characters?"
"Don't you have Ultimate attacks?" Aizawa asked, Peter sheepishly turning away.
"Yeah, maybe..." Peter admitted.
"So does Wolverine come to think of it," Aizawa said.
"Sure do, taught a couple to my daughter, she really took to one of them," Logan said.
"Yeah, your Fatal Claw attack," Peter said. "Meanwhile I mostly taught Mayday my Spider Sting and Crawler Assault. Never had the chance to teacher her my Maximum Spider move."
"You have quite an arsenal of Ultimate Attacks, despite you just mocking the concept," Midnight said.
"Well, I mostly did it to poke fun originally at some fighters and heroes," Peter insisted. "Still, this feels more like a martial arts thing."
"Heroics and Martial arts aren't exactly foreign from one another," Logan said. "After all, you specialized your patented Spider-Fu."
"Yeah, sure did," Peter said.
"Such a stupid name," Aizawa said, Peter groaning in annoyance.
"Well who asked you anyway?" Peter commented.
All Might looked ahead to Izuku, seeing the boy struggling a bit, "Seems like you're disadvantaged Young Midoriya."
"Time for you to die!" They heard as Bakugo rushed in to attack, blasting a clone to pieces. "Ha, been a while since I could fight like this."
"Someone's back to normal," Peter commented.
Bakugo called to his teacher, "I killed him Ectoplasm, now give me another one!"
"That kid is way too violent, even compared to you Logan," Peter said. "I worry about what kind of hero he'll become."
"Bad as his kidnapping was, I thought it'd at least put some scare into him," Logan said. "Though, it could have the opposite effect, he doesn't want to go through that again, so he'll train harder not to let it happen."
"He's getting stronger indeed," Aizawa said. "But I will agree on his temper, he has time to curve it though."
"Better make it snappy," Logan said.
"Wow! Bakugo's amazing!" Ochako called from the air, all the students taking a moment to notice his abilities.
"Bet he's got a ton of ideas for special moves," Sato said.
"He's been planning this stuff since the entrance exams probably," Toru said.
"Ah! I'm losing it!" Ochako said.
"Stay focused!" Ectoplasm warned.
"You got this Ochako!" Peter called, getting her attention.
"Peter! You're here! Wanna see my ultimate move!? Uh, once I figure it out at least!" Ochako said.
"Take your time! Go with your own rhythm!" Peter said.
"That's the girl you trained?" Logan asked.
"Yeah, Ochako Uraraka, I mentored her for a week, and she's awesome," Peter said. "Great potential in abilities, plus she's really kind. Really want to work with her more, really help her become something amazing."
"Make her a sidekick?" Logan asked.
"Probably, you know she kind of reminds me of another girl I know," Peter said.
"You mean Kat?" Logan asked.
"No, I mean yeah she reminds me of her but I'm talking more personality than abilities," Peter said. "She's a nice girl, cute and pink with a red dress, bit of a hot temper at times but also the type of girl you can rely on, not just because she's physically strong, but she's there for you emotionally. She just needed to tone down her obsession with a certain boy in blue, who seemed to spend more time training with that yellow fox kid."
"Are you talking about that hedgehog girl or that ninja girl?" Logan asked, Peter's eyes widening in surprise.
"Holy crap I never noticed the similarities," Peter said. "But, I'm talking about Amy Rose. You remember her right?"
"Yeah, I remember her," Logan said. "Good kid."
"I feel like she and Ochako would get along quite nicely," Peter said. "Maybe I'll call her up again, bring her by when she has the chance."
"Ahem," Mineta said, getting everyone's attention. "Just so you know, I've been working on a move called Grape Rush since I was a kid!"
"We've all thought about this before, haven't we?" Kaminari said. "I'd love to wield a lightning sword! Better yet, I'd love to do that one move which involves a tornado of electricity!"
"You mean the Ionic Vortex!?" Peter called.
"You know about that move Spider-Man!?" Kaminari asked.
"I'm friends with the pro who made that move," Peter confirmed. "If I could fly him here, I bet he'd be able to teach you a thing or two. Might be a bit of a language barrier at first but I think we can work something out."
"That would be epic!" Kaminari said. "I can learn from an Legendary electric pro hero!"
"Wow, Legendary hero? Cole would definitely appreciate that praise," Peter said to himself.
"Hey, Spider-Man! Good to see ya!" Kirishima called.
"You too, um, you're Eijiro Kirishima right?" Peter asked. "Codename, Red Riot."
"Wow, you remembered, awesome!" Kirisihima said. "Man, I'm amazed to see you on your feet after the other day, how's your wife doing?"
"She's home from the Hospital, she's just taking it easy," Peter said. "Same with my cousin."
"What about The Human Torch!?" Kaminari asked. "And Rainbow Dash?"
"Rainbow Dash is healing from a broken leg," Peter confirmed. "Johnny's got some skull fractures and is dealing with some head trauma, but he should recover."
"And the Saiyamen!?" Mina asked.
"Saiyaman 1 will be fine, he's taken hits like these since he was a kid, so he's built up a better resistance," Peter said. "Saiyaman 2 is gonna need a bit more recovery but her wounds aren't too bad." "Too bad they can't just use those Sensu Beans, but given how rare they are, it's better to let their wounds heal naturally and save something like those for an emergency."
"Spider-Man! Wanna see my Grape Rush attack!?" Mineta called.
"Sure, in a second kid!" Peter said, then focused on Izuku. "I got something to take care of."
"Alright, that's fine!" Mineta said.
"Grape Rush!?" Flurry asked, getting his attention. "How does that work?"
Mineta's face turned red, just the sight of Flurry was pleasing to his eyes, "A cute girl wants to see me show off! Don't blow this, Mineta. Woo her and she'll be all over you!" "I'll show you, just sit back-"
"Flurry Heart, your training isn't done," an Ectoplasm clone said.
"Aw, alright," Flurry said. "Sorry Minoru, gotta get back.
"Uh, sure that's fine," Mineta said, feeling very let down. "Just my luck..."
"Show me later though, if you think you have time to," Flurry said.
Mineta immediately perked back up, "Oh, totally, I can always make time for a pretty girl like you."
"You're such a flirt, see you later," Flurry said.
Mineta waved good-bye, feeling an extra boost of confidence, "This is so awesome! A girl actually wants to see me later! I just gotta keep practicing now and woo her later!"
"Focus!" his Ectoplasm clone said, bonking him on the head.
"Sorry sir!" Mineta said, readying his training again.
Meanwhile, Peter had leapt onto Izuku's platform, turning towards the Ectoplasm clone. "Hey, mind if I talk to Izuku a bit? I want to check on his progress."
"Not at all, perhaps you may be able to help him," Ectoplasm said.
"I'll do my best," Peter said, then looked down to the boy, "Hey, how's it going?"
"It's good to see you Peter, I'm glad you're doing better," Izuku said.
"I healed overnight, so it's all good," Peter said. "Same with Superman, Logan too."
"How fast does your healing work anyway?" Izuku asked.
"My healing isn't as instantaneous as Logan is, but give me a few hours, or a good night's rest and I'm back to normal," Peter said. "Superman just needs to fly out toward the sun and boom, instant recovery."
"That's so cool, I wish I had a healing ability of my own," Izuku said, looking to his arms. "Maybe I won't be helpless every time I use my quirk."
"Well just because we heal doesn't mean the trauma is any better," Peter said. "That night was painful, for all of us. All for One's punches were like a meteor shower landing on top of me."
"Well you were really brave that night, and I was so amazed by how bravely you fought. It's not just me, a lot of people feel that way," Izuku said. "I checked all over social media sites, everyone can't get over how hard you fought. The people in Japan really love you now. In fact a lot of people expect you to climb the rankings!"
"I do what I can," Peter said. "All that matters when being a hero is doing the right thing."
"And being a role model to others, right?" Izuku asked.
"That's a good bonus, personally I just want everyone to live in a better world," Peter said. "I'm more than willing to do that from the shadows if I had to, honestly I was content with just being a vigilante, I only went pro out of convenience, but I just care about getting the job done."
"Still, being Number One, having so many people look up to you, I mean I'll always respect All Might, but you're so close to being the Number One Hero in the world," Izuku said.
"I doubt I could surpass Captain America, or Superman," Peter said. "Too bad these stupid quirk laws actually prevent Superman from being number one, then the government makes up this stupid 'Collateral Damage' excuse because Superman won't tell the world he's really Clark Kent. What a broken system."
"Would you try to if you could?" Izuku asked.
"Not really, look I don't mind being a role model to others, but being a hero is not about the publicity, I know All Might makes it look cool, and there was a time I wanted everyone to know who I was," Peter said. "But in time you realize that rankings, popularity, that stuff is second to what's truly right. Even Superman himself doesn't care about the rankings, he didn't set out to be the Symbol of Hope, that's a title people gave him. Truthfully, he'd rather everyone was considered equal by the public because each hero can do something special. No one hero can do every job."
Izuku had to take time to process this, it was a lot different than what he's been told growing up, "But why wouldn't Spider-Man or Superman want to be loved by the public? I agree that a hero shouldn't care too much about rankings, but there's pros to that as well. Kids need role models to look up to after all, having hero rankings should help with that. I mean I don't think too many people would look up to me if I was ranked too low."
"By the way, did you figure out your ultimate move yet?" Peter asked.
"Huh?" Izuku snapped out of it. "No, my arms are really badly damaged, it's gonna be hard to fight the way I'd like to."
"How do you want to fight?" Peter asked.
"I want to fight like All Might," Izuku said. "I want to do the cool moves he does."
"Well, that's cool and all, but is that necessary?" Peter asked, confusing Izuku yet again. "I mean, I know you look up to All Might, but you don't need all his moves. At least don't draw all your inspiration from him. Take me for example, I learned different styles that I incorporate into my moves. Captain America taught me basic hand to hand combat, but it's not something I straight up copied, I still did my own spin, I just added it to my wrestling style."
"Wrestling?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, like the type they do in Mexico, my costume is partially inspired by Lucha Libre," Peter confirmed. "You know, I even fought a wrestler once, big Russian guy named Zangief. Dude was ginormous."
"I think I heard of him, that fight must have been intense," Izuku said.
"I also learned to fight like Iron Man, he build me a suit of armor once," Peter said. "Then I hacked it and turned it into my own thing, I became Iron Spider. My style isn't the exact same as Iron Man, but it is similar. In fact the suit I wore before is a combination of Stark tech and my original design. I'm working on a new suit now actually help me fight better, faster too. That part is partially inspired by The Flash."
"That's so cool! Can't wait to see it," Izuku said.
"Also, did I ever tell you about my training with a hero named Shang Chi?" Peter asked. "He's China's Number One Pro hero, and the guy who taught me Kung Fu. Of course I adapted into my own style, Spider-Fu."
"Spider-Fu?" Izuku asked. "Wow, that's so catchy!"
"Thank you! Everyone else called it lame," Peter said.
"Lame? How could it be lame? It's your style!" Izuku said.
"Try telling them that, but it's fine, only cool guys like you and me get it," Peter said, confidently buffing out his chest in a manner to that of Superman.
"Yeah...cool guys like us!" Izuku said, buffing his chest out similar to All Might.
"You're not cool, nerd!" Bakugo shouted, deflating Izuku's spirits.
"Katsuki! Focus on getting bettering yourself and not demoralizing others! Otherwise karma is gonna come and bite you in the butt!" Peter warned.
Bakugo groaned in annoyance, he would tell Peter off, but he knew it could get him into trouble, he just focused on his own thing.
"Anyway Izuku, my point is that you gotta do your own style," Peter said.
"He's right," All Might said, getting both of their attention. "Don't worry about imitating me, use that creativity to figure out your own."
"Yeah, alright All Might," Izuku said.
"It's like I tell my sidekick Miles," Peter said. "Be Better, Be Yourself."
"Be Myself?" Izuku gripped his hand into a fist. "How do I pull that off?"
"Yo, Kirishima, got some wisdom for ya!" All Might said, making his way over to the boy.
"Sweet, lay it on me All Might!" Kirishima said.
"Don't worry about small tricks with your hardening, imagine yourself as a bulldozer," All Might suggested.
"Sure thing, sir," Kirishima said.
All Might looked back toward Izuku, "I wouldn't be much of a teacher if I just gave you the answers. Here it's about your own style, no wrong answers. I trust that Spider-Man will help you figure that out, if he hasn't already."
"Good to see that All Might is ready and willing to pass on his expertise, he may not be a hero out in the field these days, but he still has some way to help the public," Peter felt, then turned to Izuku. "To think, that quirk, One for All, Izuku now has it. All that power is his...I trust that he has the responsibility required to use it, but...I hope he wasn't given too much of it. No hero should shoulder the world's problems on their own."
"Well, I should get back to training," Izuku said.
"By the way," Peter spoke low enough to stay out of ear-range of others. "All Might told me about One for All."
"Yeah, Mayday told me you knew," Izuku said.
"That would explain why you kept hurting yourself," Peter said. "Tell me, how good are you at controlling it, is it difficult at all?"
"I can probably control about 8 percent, I still have a long road before I reach a hundred," Izuku said. "I don't suppose you have any tips?"
"I'd need to know more about your quirk, but it seems like you're on the right path, just keep practicing and you'll reach your full potential," Peter said.
"I hope so, I don't want to let All Might down, he trusted me with this power," Izuku said. "And as you yourself say, With Great Power comes Great Responsibility, something All Might himself reminded me of."
"Wait, has he been using my catchphrase? I patent this stuff for a reason," Peter said, getting a confused reaction from Izuku. "I'm just kidding, it's more my Uncle's phrase than mine, I just shortened it a bit."
"That's the short version?" Izuku said.
"The phrase is 'With Great Power, there must also come Great Responsibility," Peter said. "I just shortened it a bit to roll off the tongue better. But I'm happy to hear that you're taking that phrase seriously and applying it to your training. You're not alone in your endeavors either, because I am Here, to help."
Izuku chuckled a bit, hearing Peter imitate All Might was a treat, "It's so strange yet endearing when heroes quote one another."
"Hey I got a whole line up, check out my Captain America imitation," Peter said, clearing his throat as he got into character. "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!"
This was loud enough that everyone in the gym heard him, all eyes on Peter.
"Dad! That's kind of cringe!" Mayday said.
"Is not!" Peter insisted.
Izuku just found this endearing. "Amazing how in touch Peter is with his youth, I hope I can be like that when I'm his age." "By the way, is it true Wolverine knows about my quirk as well?"
"Yeah, that's one of the reasons he's here, to see your progress," Peter said. "He'll keep it a secret if that's what you're wondering."
"I trust him, maybe he can help too," Izuku said.
"Well, you two have one thing in common," Peter said. "You both feel pain from your quirks."
"Huh?" Izuku asked.
"Ever wonder what it's like for him to unsheathe his claws?" Peter asked. "It breaks through his skin."
"Ouch, that sounds bad," Izuku said, turning to the aged hero. "And given how long he's been a hero, that means he feels pain a lot, wonder if that's why he's usually so grumpy?"
Peter's phone rang, "I gotta take this, good luck with your training."
"Thanks," Izuku said, ready to get back into it.
Peter leapt off the rock formation as he answered his phone, "You have Spidey."
"Hey Peter, it's your sweet and adorable baby sister, Peni," The girl greeted.
"What do you want this time, Peni?" Peter asked, the hero a bit annoyed by the girl's forced charm.
"I need some materials to work on my robot, would you mind picking some up for me when you have the chance?" Peni asked.
"Ahem..." Twilight said to the best of her ability, using her magic to spell stuff out. 'I need some materials as well, don't forget.'
"And Twilight needs some stuff, UA should have a workshop, if I call can you pick it up?" Peni asked.
"Well I do have to get back to patrol, I have a large area to cover, plus I'm working on a lead to the League of Villains. But maybe I can send Mayday after school, would that be alright?" Peter asked.
"Sure, sounds great, thank you big brother, daisuki," Peni said.
"I love you too," Peter said. "And tell Twilight that I love-"
"Bye-bye," Peni said, immediately hanging up.
Peter groaned in annoyance, "It's been so many years, why do I feel like Peni is still jealous of Twilight?"
As this was going on, All Might had gotten Kyoka's attention. "Hey Jiro, mind if I give you some tips?"
"Uh, sure, that'd be great," Jiro said.
Aizawa looked amazed by what he was seeing, "Suddenly he's good at this huh?"
"Give him some credit, I mean..." Logan noticed a book in All Might's back pocket. "What the hell?"
The book was called 'Even Dummies can be teachers', something Aizawa also noticed, the teacher nearly at a loss for words. "Of course..."
"Well, Twilight started off reading a lot of books, maybe it'll help All Might too," Logan theorized.
"I get that, but...why did it have to be that type of book?" Aizawa said.
"Asking the right questions, but I ain't got none of the answers," Logan said. "By the way...do you know how my daughter's doing? Heard she has some issues with her classmates."
"I can't answer that, you'd need to speak to her homeroom teacher," Aizawa said. "But, I do know she's going to endure a lot of trials after what she pulled the other day."
"I trust her to handle it, she's a strong-willed girl, just like her mother," Logan said.
Later in the day, Izuku had made his way to the Support Studio, a group dedicated to improving hero gear. On the way he continued to think about what Peter and All Might had told him about improving his style.
While part of him is fine with imitating All Might, he agrees with Peter that adding his own unique style would be greatly beneficial.
"Regardless of my style, until I fix the issue with my arm, my development will be stunted," Izuku clenched his fists. "I need a brace to wield One for All at maximum power. Once I do that, I'll be able to create my Ultimate Move and stay on the proper path to achieve my dream."
"Izuku?" Came Mayday's voice, the girl getting his attention.
"Mayday, what brings you here?" Izuku asked, feeling a bit flustered from the sight of the girl. "Are you upgrading your gear too?"
"No, my Aunt Peni asked for some materials here to fix up her robot, since I was at the school, my dad asked me to pick it up for her," Mayday explained.
"Oh, that's really nice of you to do," Izuku said, bashfully turning his head away.
Mayday could tell Izuku was feeling a bit flustered, not that she could blame him. She did confess her feelings to him last night, and while he seemed to take it well, she could tell it was still bothering him. Best she could do at the moment was try to push through and treat this as normal of a conversation as possible. "Anyway, I don't ever upgrade my stuff here, I only trust my dad to help me with my gear, and I probably will. I've been thinking of a style change, what do you think of an all black suit?"
"All black?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, similar to what my dad used to wear, only without the alien," Mayday said.
"Without the alien?" Izuku asked, this fully snapping him out of his phase. "What alien?"
"Long story, one I'll tell you later. The point is I want to look different," Mayday said. "I mean, I love my dad, and I do intend to use the Spider-Girl name in his honor, but I don't want to be exactly like him. I kind of want to try my own stuff."
"Even Mayday wants to be unique, well unique as she can be," Izuku focused his attention on the girl. "I've been meaning to ask, and I know you get this question a lot but...what's it like having a dad like Spider-Man? Do people expect a lot from you?"
"Oh yeah, big time," Mayday said. "I have some really big shoes to fill. My dad downplays it a lot, but he's a big deal back in the States. People absolutely love him, he's in the Top 10 for a reason, and after the other day, there are locals in Japan who expect him to take the Number One spot."
"I heard something like that," Izuku said. "There's been debates online about him being the new Number One Hero since he fought so hard against that scary villain."
"Yeah, they were moved by how hard he fought, and since he's staying in this country for some time, they figured he's the best fit for Number One," Mayday said. "He may not actually take that spot since while he does live here, he's not technically a Japanese citizen."
"Maybe this will help his American ranking," Izuku theorized.
"Probably, I mean I guess it doesn't matter to him, but the higher he ranks, the more money he makes, and the more allowance I get to have," Mayday joked.
"Does your dad give you a big allowance?" Izuku asked.
"Well, sort of," Mayday said. "He doesn't give me a lot of money, and when he does give me money, he tells me to be responsible because 'Money doesn't grow on trees'. Even though it technically does since it's made of paper."
"Huh, kind of have a point with that," Izuku said.
"Not to mention that when I do have money, he later complains that I spend it all on shoes. I mean, so I like shoes, big deal," Mayday said.
Izuku did recall seeing a big shoe collection the other day. "After seeing your room, yeah no doubt about it."
"Well, anyway, it doesn't matter, I am his little girl, and he usually buys me what I want anyway, even if my mom gets upset about it," Mayday said.
"I don't think that's something you should brag about," Izuku said.
"Yeah, you're right," Mayday said. "Also it makes no difference where dad's ranked. After all, my mom's a Princess, so we'll always have some assistance, even if dad doesn't care much for hand-outs. Still, being Twilight Sparkle's daughter in itself also comes with pressure. The daughter of one of Earth's best heroes, mixed with being the daughter of an Equestrian Princess, people expect a lot from me, it can be frustrating. That's why I always give it my best, to show that I'm worthy of being their daughter."
"Worthy of being their daughter?" Izuku looked a bit concerned by that statement. "Mayday, I don't think you have to prove that, I think Peter and Twilight love you regardless."
"I know, but if I don't give it my all, not only does it make me look bad, it could make my parents look bad, I do this for them too, even if I do get carried away with it," Mayday said.
"But Mayday, you shouldn't have to feel that way, I mean do your parents know how you feel about this?" Izuku asked.
"Of course not, they'd start to worry if they did," Mayday said. "Wait, you're not gonna tell them, are you?"
"No, I think you should," Izuku said. "It's not alright for you to be feeling this way, you shouldn't have to validate your existence to anyone. You exist and you make the most of it in your own way."
"That's sweet of you to say Izuku but, I really don't want to let anyone down," Mayday said.
"Mayday, don't put pressure on yourself, I don't want to see you crack," Izuku said.
"Hey come on, I'm basically as strong as the Earth's crust," Mayday insisted.
"That's the weakest layer of the planet though," Izuku pointed out.
"Still worth something," Mayday said. "I'm fine, don't worry about me Izuku."
"Somehow, I'm starting to understand how my mom felt that day, and why Logan said some of the things he did," Izuku placed his hand on her shoulder. "Well, if you do feel overwhelmed, you know you can come to me."
"Heh, leave it to you to knock me off my feet," Mayday said, the girl blushing from the affection. The boy noticed as well, and immediately pulled away, at this point it was hard for Mayday to ignore. "Izuku...we never really talked much about what I told you yesterday, and I don't mean One for All or my Uncle Ben."
"I know...I'm still thinking about it," Izuku said. "I like you Mayday, I really do. You're a great girl but...I don't think I'll make for a good boyfriend. I'm still trying to figure out some things for myself. I need to focus on being the hero All Might wants me to be, I hope you understand."
"I know it's a big revelation, so I'll let you process it at your own pace," Mayday said, a blush forming on her face. "But, don't keep me waiting too long."
"I'll try not to," Izuku said.
"Also, Izuku," Mayday said. "It's good that you look up to All Might, but try to keep your own interests in mind too."
"Y-yeah," Izuku said.
Meanwhile Ochako and Tenya were also making their way over to the equipment room, both having their own plans.
"Ah, so you want to make your whole body float," Tenya said.
"Sure am, it would increase my mobility and it would help with the combat training I learned from Spider-Man," Ochako said.
"Has he spoken much to you? I was focused more on my training to notice," Tenya said.
"A little, he brought up The Gravity Queen and he's the one who's encouraging me to learn how to float more like she does," Ochako explained. "I think he also wants to introduce me to a friend he made years ago, he said she's strong physically and emotionally."
"Spider-Man has a lot of connections, seems to have made many friends in the hero world," Tenya said.
"Well, it makes sense. He's a naturally friendly guy, and his wife knows all about Friendship too, I wouldn't mind learning from her as well, if she had anything to teach," Ochako said.
"Yes, Equestrian culture is quite fascinating, that's something I learned from my time with Pinkie Pie, albeit briefly," Tenya said. "Truthfully, I regret not taking her advice, and I wish to train with her and Deadpool some more. They're a really nice couple, and I'd also like to formally meet their children too, perhaps I should make plans to stop by their home."
"They live all the way out in Hosu though," Ochako said.
"It would be worth the trip," Tenya said.
"Well, besides that, what's your goal, why do you need to go to the support group?" Ochako asked.
"I want to reduce Reciporal's drawback," Tenya explained. "It would help if I improved my radiator."
"That's neat," Ochako said, then noticed Izuku and Mayday in the distance. "Oh! Deku!"
Ochako ran to see her friend, much to Tenya's annoyance, "Hey! Don't run in the halls!"
"Is that Tenya?" Mayday turned and saw the gravity girl running over, Mayday immediately feeling awkward. "And Ochako."
"Huh?" Izuku turned to the girl. "Uraraka, hi!"
"So, Deku, are you here for costume improvements too!?" Ochako asked, paying little mind to Mayday.
Izuku nodded as he reached for the handle, "Yeah, I'm here to-" just then an explosion went off, blowing away the door, much to the surprise of Tenya and Ochako.
"Mayday! Midoriya!" Tenya shouted in worry.
Emerging from the door was the teacher Power Loader, "Next time, don't mix all the things you find in the lab!"
"Accidents happen! Even Tony Stark had trial and errors when creating the Iron Man suit, which isn't actually iron, its alloy steel, but oh well, Iron Man sounds cooler anyway," came the voice of Mei Hatsumei. "Also steel seems more associated with Superman, even though he's not made of steel either. Hero monikers are quite the mystery sometimes."
"Regardless, even Tony Stark is more careful with his experiments, even when building his suit from a box of scraps in a cave," Power Loader said. "It's a complete waste of time and resources to do this willy nilly."
"Still seems worth it to try," Mei said.
"You nearly destroyed the entire studio because of your insane experimenting!" Power Loader shouted, the girl not immediately responding. "Hatsumei! Are you even listening to me!?"
"I can hear you," Mei said, then looked down and saw that she landed on someone. "Oh it's you."
Izuku looked and saw that Mei had landed on him to make matters worse for him, he was face to face with her cleavage. Izuku panicked a bit, trying to back away when he realized he wasn't on the floor, rather he had landed on someone, that being Mayday, his head resting on top of her own breasts. "Boob..."
"Sandwich..." Ochako finished, the girl looking just as stunned as Izuku.
Mayday groaned as she opened her eyes, "Huh?" She looked ahead and saw Mei face to face with her. "Wait, aren't you that inventor girl from the Sports Festival? Where's..." She looked and saw Izuku, the boy looking like he was panicking. "Hey, are you hurt?"
Izuku had no response, he just laid there in shock, wanting to look away but also wanting to stare, plus he felt shamefully comfortable resting on Maydays breasts.
It took Mayday a second to realize the situation, Izuku was pressed between two pairs of boobs, the girl feeling some minor secondhand embarrassment, "Oooohh...Heh, kind of kinky. Gotta say inventor girl, you have nice boobs for a nerd."
"I prefer see it as 'Mechanical Intellect'," Mei said.
After a few seconds, both girls were up on their feet, neither hurt and merely dusted themselves off, Izuku doing the same, albeit more shamefully.
"Sorry about that, I got a little carried away with my experiments," Mei said.
"It's cool, just be careful, someone could have gotten hurt, especially Izuku," Mayday said. "Though I would say he got a really good deal out of this, even if he's too ashamed to admit it."
"Been a while since I've seen you, not sure if you remember, but I'm Mei Hatsumei," the inventor greeted. "You're Mayday Parker, the daughter of Spider-Man correct?"
"That's me," Mayday said.
"And there's you three..." Mei drew a blank. "I literally forgot all your names."
"I'm...Izuku Midoriya," the boy said, still feeling awkward.
"And I'm Tenya Iida, you tricked me into showing off your inventions at the Sports Festival!" Tenya said.
"Never heard of ya," Mei said, freaking everyone out. "Well I'm off to develop new babies, so bye!"
"She forgot to hear out my name..." Ochako lamented. "Why does she always ignore me?"
"Wait, hold on, I kind of hoped Mr. Power Loader could help me improve my costume," Izuku said.
Mei immediately turned around, excitement beaming in her eyes, "Count me in too!"
"Hatsumei!" Power Loader called. "Look it's fine that you run in and our of the studio since you live in the dorms, but if you don't follow my instructions, then you're banned!"
"Alright, fine," Mei said.
"As for the rest of you, Eraser Head told me you might be here to upgrade your costumes for your new moves," Power Loader said.
"Not me, my dad handles my upgrades," Mayday said. "I just came to pick something up for my aunt, Peni Parker."
"Oh yeah, she called in for that, something about spare parts for her SP/dr robot. Well even so, you can still check the place out, who knows, we might have something here that catches your eye," Power Loader said. "If you still prefer your dad's upgrades then he can come down here or you can bring him something he might like. From what I've heard, he spent a lot of time in the Support Studios himself, just like your aunt. Peni Parker used to modify her robot here."
"Oh how I'd love to see that robot up close," Mei said. "I'd also love to work on that baby."
"Not a chance, see my family's protective of their gear," Mayday said. "Dad only trusts Tony Stark and Reed Richards with his suit, and Aunt Peni never lets anyone near her SP/dr robot. Don't even bother asking any of them about the webbing."
"Well, a girl can dream, come on in," Mei said, gesturing everyone inside, including a still weirded out Izuku.
Mayday couldn't help but tease the boy as she leaned in, "Guess I know your fetish now."
"Mayday!" Izuku scolded, blushing heavily.
"Just joking, last thing I want is to lead you into a boobie trap," Mayday teased.
"She's never gonna let me live this down," Izuku lamented as he went inside.
Upon entering, they all could see tools for miles, impressing the students with how well organized everything was.
"Wow, this place looks like a secret lab!" Izuku said.
"Not bad, bit small but whatever works," Mayday said.
"Alright, please hand over your instructions," Power Loader said. "They should have come with the cases your suits came in. I have a license to make costumes, so I'm allowed to tinker even if it wasn't directly from UA."
"You can't just fix whatever?" Mayday asked.
"No, copyrights and stuff, I can make small changes and report them to the company, they'll handle the paperwork," Power Loader explained. "If it's a big change, then we need to fill out an application. The Government checks the costumes for certain standards, and then they get sent back here upon approval. We work with the best design agencies available, so it takes about three days to get stuff approved."
"Oh yeah, Tony mentioned how much of a pain it was convincing the government to handle his own stuff," Mayday said. "Even to this day they hardly trust him, some higher ups are so paranoid."
"It's not paranoia, they're just making sure the costumes are safe," Tenya said.
"Well they probably should trust Tony Stark by now, he's a top level Avenger," Ochako said.
"Tony Stark is top level indeed and a brilliant mind, however he has a bit of a rebellious streak that makes it hard for some to trust him," Power Loader said. "I'm not saying I don't trust him, personally I admire Iron Man as a hero and a mechanical genius, but he has been a thorn in the side for a few higher ups."
"Still, I don't recall my dad going through this," Mayday said. "But my mom probably handles the paperwork, she enjoys that type of stuff so dad never looks it over."
"I wouldn't put it past her," Power Loader said. "Granted I don't know as much about your mother as I do about your father, she's quite an enigma."
"Mom doesn't like the spotlight, even if it's unavoidable, she's basically a Goddess in her country," Mayday said.
"Equestria...I hear technology barely reaches that part of the world, not that they need it, that culture thrives well on it's own," Power Loader said, then remembered the students came for a reason. "Well regardless, how can I be of service?"
"Well I'd like to reduce the strain on the ligaments in my arms," Izuku said. "Is that possible?"
"Hm, you're Midoriya, let's see," Power Loader checked his computer. "You usually fight with your fists, so I think I can work something out really fast."
"Deku, that's amazing!" Ochako said, throwing some air punches.
"Thanks, I...I..." Izuku noticed that Mei was feeling his body from behind.
"Yes, I see the problem," Mei said, placing her hands just about anywhere.
"Uh, Mei, you're kind of making Izuku a bit uncomfortable," Mayday said, trying not to get annoyed.
"Not now, I'm trying to feel out his muscles," Mei said, getting an eye twitch from Mayday. "Wow, so stiff, didn't expect such muscley features."
"Yes, he's got muscles, now can you take a step back please," Mayday said. "Izuku is really not good when it comes to girls."
"Mayday!" Izuku scolded, feeling a bit annoyed at her freely saying that.
"Oh he's fine," Mei said. "Plus I got what I needed!"
Within moments, Izuku was seen with a huge body armor, the boy looking so confused, "What is this!?"
"That looks like Tenya's armor after it did a workout at the gym," Mayday said.
"I call it the Power Suit!" Mei explained. "It reads muscle contraptions and supports your movements. Baby number forty-nine."
"This is nice, but I just need support for my arms," Izuku said.
"Turn and start!" Mei said, the machine moving on it's own.
"Wow! This is kind of cool!" Izuku said. Suddenly the machine started twisting his body. "No! Wait! I take it back!"
"Whoopsie, guess I made a miscalculation or two," Mei said as she shut off the machine. "My mistake."
"Don't say it so casually!" Mayday scolded.
"Deku, are you hurt!?" Ochako asked.
"I nearly got turned into a pretzel, not what I imagined when I came here," Izuku said.
Tenya quietly approached Power Loader, whispering the hero teacher, "Sir, would you be able to apply cooling devices to my legs?"
"Oh, is that all you want?" Mei asked, suddenly appearing behind Tenya, then suddenly strapping something into his arm. "Try this!"
"How!?" Tenya shouted.
"This baby can cool down anything that gives off heat!" Mei explained. "Baby number thirty-six."
"There's nothing wrong with my arm boosters!" Tenya said, then found himself propelled to the ceiling, courtesy of Mei.
"Tenya!" Mayday shouted in worry.
"This is chaotic!" Ochako said.
Moments later, Tenya was back on the ground, trying to collect himself. "Hatsumei, my quirk is in my legs, you madwoman!"
"I know, but come on, it's a brilliant idea!" Mei said. "Just run with your arms if you're worried about your legs!"
"That has no logical merits!" Tenya said. Something about that caused the gears in Izuku's head to turn, remembering the tips he received from All Might and Peter.
After Power Loader had calmed the situation, once again threatening to ban Mei, the student went back to her own work.
"Sorry everyone, I'm trying to get her to look past her own devices," Power Loader said.
"That seems impossible," Tenya said.
"Some scientists are like that I'm afraid, you should see Aunt Peni with her designs, even Reed Richards is almost way too attached to his work.
"That can also be a good thing," Power Loader said. "You'll need her once you turn pro."
"You really think so?" Izuku asked.
"Check out that pile of junk nearby," Power Loader said, gesturing to the corner. "That's stuff Hatsumei created since the day she started school here. She's always inventing, even after school hours, or before. I've seen a lot of support course students, but this girl is something special."
"Wow, all this in a short amount of time?" Izuku asked.
"You know, even Tony Stark himself came by to scout this girl once, he was really impressed with what he saw at the Sports Festival," Power Loader said. "When he saw how much she made, he was blown away. Him, the legendary Tony Stark, a master inventor, a founding member of The Avengers, was blown away by what Hatsumei had created. He sees big things in her future, and he's right to believe that. Heroes could benefit from someone this passionate. Some heroes like Tony Stark, or even Spider-Man can make their own gear, but not all heroes have that skillset. That's why she's so valuable."
"Well, you're not wrong, I still need my dad's help making my webbing, his sidekick Miles does as well," Mayday said. "And Captain America didn't exactly make that shield of his, and I think even Black Panther had his suit modified by his team of scientists."
"Inventors like Tony Stark, Reed Richards and Hank Pym have left marvelous impacts in the hero world," Power Loader said. "Tony Stark's approach is more resourceful, seeing what technology can do for him and others. Reed Richards is an explorer, wanting to see the full capabilities of what he works with. Hank Pym is a mage, you tell that man he can't invent something, he will not only prove you wrong, he will go beyond Plus Ultra to do so."
"Hank Pym's a better Ant Man than Scott Lang!" Mei interjected. "Just throwing that out there."
"Thanks Hatsume," Power Loader said, somewhat sarcastically. "Regarldless, when they're not helping themselves, they're helping others," Power Loader said. "All it takes is determination and passion."
"That's all really neat sir, thank you for imparting your wisdom onto is," Izuku said, then turned to his speedy friend. "By the way Iida, I need you to teach me some things, if you don't mind."
"Who me? Uh, sure I guess," Tenya said. "But we still need to work on our costumes."
"Oh yeah, that's right," Izuku said.
"Planning something big?" Mayday asked.
"Something like that," Izuku said, then turned to Ochako. "That reminds me, are you doing costume changes?"
"Yeah, I don't want to feel sick when I use my quirk," Ochako said.
"You don't say?" Mei said, appearing behind the girl, startling her as she held a barrel. "Try this baby out!"
"No way! It looks like a bomb!" Ochako said.
"Handle this baby with care now," Mei said as the device started smoking.
Mayday's senses began to tingle, "RUN!"
She quickly grabbed the three with her webs and pulled them to safety before the device exploded, Mei being unphazed. "They'll be back."
Outside near the dorms, as promised, Mineta was showing off his moves to Flurry, "This is my signature Ultimate Attack!" He began plucking and sending off his sticky balls. "GRAPE RUSH!"
They landed on a training dummy that Mineta had borrowed, Flurry rubbing her chin in curiosity. "Oh, so you just throw your purple balls at the enemy huh?"
"Well, yeah, that's a simple way of putting it," Mineta said. "But it can be really handy! See my balls can stick to just about anything and they can stay stuck for a long time, it usually depends on how I'm feeling."
Flurry had to resist the urge to chuckle at Mineta's description, "And they're hard to take off?"
"Pretty much." Mineta demonstrated by putting one on the dorm wall. "See that? Completely stuck, if you touched it then you'd be stuck too. Not me though." He padded the ball a couple of times. "I can actually bounce off, handy when there's a lot of them."
"That's actually pretty good, you can trap villains with it," Flurry said.
"Exactly, they're not the best for offense but they make great capture weapons," Mineta said. "My Grape Rush is meant to keep an enemy in place, I throw enough and they're completely stuck. I have to be careful though, if I throw too many of them, I'll start to bleed."
"Sounds painful," Flurry said. "Still, your quirk's really neat Minoru, it probably would have come in handy back at the USJ when me, Tsu and Izuku were trapped on that boat with a bunch of water quirk users."
"Honestly, I'm not sure how useful I would be. I was really scared that day, I nearly started crying," Mineta said. "Uh, sorry if that sounds lame."
"Hey I get scared too, it's nothing to be ashamed of, I mean, we are just kids, even if we're training to be heroes," Flurry said. "That's what Uncle Peter told me when I got home. I'll admit, after the USJ, I cried a lot when I got back because I was so scared for my life. Mayday, Aunt Twilight and Uncle Peter had to calm me down."
"Well, I'm sorry you were so scared too," Mineta said. "It's a good thing you're a girl, you can get away with that."
"Huh? What does that mean?" Flurry asked.
"Well boys aren't really meant to cry, we're expected to just keep feelings like that suppressed," Mineta said. "We don't cry, we don't get scared. Girls don't have that expectation, so you can be as emotional as you want. Now that's not a bad thing, I'm just saying it's an advantage."
"That's silly, boys are allowed to cry too, you're human just like I am," Flurry said. "But I understand why you feel that way, a lot of boys feel ashamed to cry because it goes against their masculine nature. Personally, I'm not fond of gender roles, and I say that as one of the the feminine girls you'll meet in your life. Crying or being scared doesn't make anyone less of a man, and it's foolish to think that not crying is anything to be proud of. That's what my mom tells my dad, that's what Aunt Twilight tells Uncle Peter. For real, take my dad to a wedding, see how long he keeps it together, he loves romance probably as much as my mom does. Uncle Peter's had to cry sometimes, it doesn't make him weak, he's brave enough to show his emotions, and when it happens, Auntie Twilight comforts him, like any good woman would do. She doesn't shame him, and yeah, a lot of women would shame a guy foy crying, and I will never respect any woman who does that to a man. Even Izuku cries, and he's one of the strongest boys in school, yet I still think he's amazing because he never lets his emotions stop him, if anything they fuel him to being better. It's alright to cry and be afraid, and you shouldn't let anyone tell you otherwise."
"I get what you're saying, and I appreciate you trying to reassure me, but honestly, I still feel ashamed. I want to have a girlfriend one day, I want to be the guy she can turn to when things go wrong. If I start crying and acting afraid, how would I protect her?" Mineta asked.
"Well when Uncle Peter gets scared, he just uses that as motivation to protect his friends and family," Flurry said. "If you saw any of us girls in danger, you'd try to protect us, wouldn't you?"
"Of course, I don't want anything bad happening to any of you girls, you're such perfect angels," Mineta said.
"Just think about that the next time you get scared, be our savior Minoru," Flurry said.
"Like a Prince rescuing a Princess?" Mineta asked.
Flurry giggled at the comparison, fitting considering her upbringing, "Yes, be our brave prince."
Mineta began to grow excited, getting this type of motivation from a pretty girl was highly reassuring, "I feel ready to take on the world! Starting with the Provisional License exams! Soon all the girls will love me and call me their 'Hero Prince'!"
"You're so funny," Flurry said, getting a blush from Mineta. "You really like girls."
"Well, I can't deny that," Mineta said.
"It's fine, boys like girls, it's nature," Flurry said. "Well, there's exceptions but that's not the point right now."
"Liking girls is one of the main reasons I want to become a hero. I want to look cool in front of girls, so I can..." Mineta had to choose his words carefully, he didn't want to scare off Flurry. "I just want to give them love and affection."
"And to touch butts and boobies, am I right?" Flurry teased.
"Huh?" Mineta began to panic. "It's more than that, I swear."
"It's fine, look I know your reputation, according to our classmates, you're the school pervert," Flurry said. "But remember what Frankie said the other day. When we were doing the room contest."
"Something about all the boys having dirty minds?" Mineta asked.
"Exactly," Flurry said. "Look, you like girls, you want to peak at them, see them naked. I don't blame you; I've seen the girls naked, and they look amazing. I mean, not to sound like a creep but wow, I can see why any boy would want to be with these girls. Momo has really round boobies, Ochako has a cute and chubby butt, Mina's got a nice pink...skin tone."
Mineta began picturing everything in his mind, his heart was racing, "I wish I could see things through your eyes. But um, why are you telling me this?"
"Because all the boys probably think that way, even Izuku started getting nervous the first time he saw my hero costume," Flurry said. "He tried hiding it well, and I didn't notice myself at first, but now I know he was enamored by my legs. It's fine too, because he's a boy, he just composed himself. Even Shoto got nervous when he nearly saw Momo's boobs the other day."
"Todoroki got nervous!?" Mineta asked.
"He's a boy too, he gets those thoughts," Flurry said. "Let me make something clear though. It's alright to like girls and their bodies, but it's wrong to make them uncomfortable about it. You tend to do that sometimes, you get too excited looking for the sight of a naked girl, or you want to cup a feel, or you just straight up make comments on their body or scrummage through their room for their underwear. That's not ok to do, and I really don't think you should be doing something like that."
Mineta couldn't argue that, he knows that's wrong, "I just lose control sometimes."
"Well you need to work on it, it's alright to have urges, they exist for a reason, but you need to control them, not the other way around," Flurry said, then knelt down before the boy. "Personally Minoru, I think you're really nice. You can be charming when you want to, you're intelligent, and honestly, you're really cute too. Something tells me you're gonna make a great boyfriend."
"You really think so?" Mineta asked.
"Yeah, of course, just tone down the creepiness level, that's your only off-putting factor," Flurry said.
"Wow, if you really think so then...alright, I'll do my best!" Mineta said.
"That's all I ask," Flurry said.
"By the way, you mentioned Franklin Richards earlier and it had me wondering," Mineta began. "Is it true girls have dirty minds?"
"Well, let's just say that they have really nice things to say about Shoto," Flurry said. "Between you and me, I get kind of excited when I see Eijiro's hero costume, he's got really firm looking muscles that could make any girl swoon."
"Lucky him, I don't have that," Mineta said.
"Well, focus on your other strengths, use your charisma," Flurry said. "I think it's your best quality."
"So, you think the two of us could go out sometime then?" Mineta asked.
"I would but...thing is, I have a crush on one of the boys, and I'm working up the nerve to tell him," Flurry said.
Mineta seemed a bit disappointed, but he wasn't quite ready to give up, "Well, we could just hang out as friends."
"Is that really alright? I don't want to end up breaking your heart," Flurry said.
"You won't, even if you and I don't end up together, maybe you can help me be a better guy so I can ask out one of the other girls," Mineta said.
"Oh, well, I suppose I can do that, I do love match-making," Flurry said. "Alright, that sounds good. Just promise you won't act like a creep. If you touch me, try to kiss me or stare at my goods too long, I'll leave and I won't want anything else to do with you. I'm trusting you Minoru."
"You can count on me, I won't violate our Friendship," Mineta said.
"Good," Flurry said. "Also I just realized I said some really personal stuff about some of the girls, and again with Eijiro, he's not even the boy I like but-"
"Hey, I won't tell them the things you said, I don't want the girls to hate you," Mineta said. "I am curious though, you really went into detail with the girls, are you...you know...I know you like a boy but do your options stretch?"
"I've thought about it once or twice, but I can't see myself with a girlfriend," Flurry said. "While I hide it well, I'm very much boy crazy, I have been since I was a little girl."
"That's adorable," Mineta said. "Also, if you ever get comfortable enough to tell me which guy you like, I'd be happy to help you get together with him."
"Aw, thanks, that's very kind of you. Anyway I have to go now, Mayday's going home to see Aunt Peni and I want to go with her to see Aunt Twilight," Flurry said.
"See ya," Mineta said, focusing back on his training. Despite what he said, part of him hoped that if he befriended Flurry long enough, she would fall in love with him eventually.
Over time, the students' training continued on their goal to creating ultimate moves. They had also took time to visit Mei and Power Loader in upgrading their hero gear to help with that goal.
Four days had passed, the students were once again at the gym, and today they were joined by Peter as a guest observer, along with Gohan, who was fully recovered from his fight against All for One.
"Gotta say, this looks like a lot of fun," Gohan said.
"Yeah, kids being able to figure out awesome techniques, even if it's strange that it's a requirement," Peter said.
"Well this is a hero school," Gohan said. "It comes with everything."
"Soon they'll end up teaching them fancy hero poses too," Peter joked.
"That would be awesome actually," Gohan did a classic Saiyaman pose. "It really shows off enthusiasm!" He did another, "And oozes confidence needed to be a hero!"
"Ironic that you got this pose idea from some villains in space," Peter said. "At least that's what your dad said happened."
"Well, The Ginyu Force weren't the nicest guys, but they had the right idea with the poses," Gohan said. "Shame, they could have made great heroes themselves."
"Well, I never met them so I can't say, but I wouldn't turn away potential allies for justice, if they truly wanted it," Peter said.
"Hey guys," All Might greeted, getting their attention.
"All Might, how's it going?" Gohan asked. "Enjoying retirement?"
"Well, I shot eighteen holes, then I got bored," All Might joked. "How about you Gohan? How's the wife? And your daughter."
"Videl's fine, still recovering but ready to spring into action again," Gohan said. "And Pan's doing great too, my dad's been keeping an eye on her martial arts training."
"Isn't you mom against Pan fighting?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, but it's my decision in the end, and if Pan likes it then I don't see any harm," Gohan said. "My dad's not making her to anything too bad at least."
"Well that's good, maybe she'll turn pro, become Saiyaman 3," All Might said.
"At one point I hoped my brother would," Gohan said. "But as he got older, he stopped thinking Saiyaman was cool."
"Saiyaman? Not cool?" Peter said. "Blasphemy."
"I know, right?" Gohan said. "But, it can't be helped I guess. At least Pan still thinks I'm cool, hopefully I'll get as lucky as Peter, his daughter idolizes him."
"Pan loves you to bits Gohan, and it's gonna stay that way. You're a cool guy after all," Peter said. "Just treat both her and her mother well. A daughter's view on boys is heavily impacted by the dad after all."
"Well you are the expert," Gohan said.
"You're back again, huh All Might?" Aizawa said, getting everyone's attention.
"Yeah, hope you don't mind," All Might said.
"Well, it's fine, at least you work here," Aizawa said, side-eyeing Peter and Gohan.
"You remember our deal Eraser," Peter said.
"You're fine, didn't expect you to bring so many guests," Aizawa said.
"Gohan knows a lot about Ultimate attacks, he'd be able to help," Peter said.
"Well, these kids don't exactly know ki control, Videl would be better suited for this," Gohan said.
"One of the girls is trying to copy the Kamehameha, you have influence as well," Peter said.
"Wait, really? Which one?" Gohan asked.
"That pink one, see?" Peter said, gesturing to Mina. "She's adjusting her hands differently, but it's close."
"Wow, that's neat," Gohan said. "Glad to be an inspiration."
"Hey, where's Izuku?" Peter asked.
"Not here yet, give him time," Aizawa said. "He better hurry up though, time is valuable here."
Outside Izuku is making his way to the gym, when Mineta got his attention, "Hey Midoriya, did you switch your costume up?"
"Yeah, I got braces added that reduce the strain on my arms," Izuku explained.
"You probably should have changed your whole look, it's kind of boring actually," Mineta bluntly stated.
"I can understand why you'd think that, but I like it," Izuku said. This suit was based off his mother's design after all. "I don't want to change the base too much."
"Alright, your choice man," Mineta said. "Let's hurry, I want to show off my progress, especially to Flurry."
"You've been talking to her a bit the last few days, everyone's noticed, especially Mayday," Izuku said.
"Yeah...she threatened to break my arms if she thought I did anything perverted to her," Mineta said. "Of course, I fully expected that. Right now, I'm just playing it cool. I think Flurry's impressed by my skill, if all goes well, she might actually start to dig me. This close to getting a girlfriend Midoriya, it's gonna be so awesome!"
"Well, promise me you'll treat her well, she is my friend after all," Izuku said.
"Of course, Flurry's a nice girl and deserves nothing from the best, if she agrees to date me, I'll treat her like the Princess she is," Mineta said.
"That's nice, just don't get carried away, she doesn't like being placed too high on a pedestal," Izuku said.
"Oh totally, she's a modest girl, I love that about her," Mineta said.
Back at the gym, Tokoyami was merging with his Dark Shadow, using it as a type of armor, "Covering myself with dark shadow enhances my strength. It improves my combat. I call it, Abyssal Black Body."
"Make sure it's easy to call out though," Midnight said.
"Is she serious?" Peter said. "I mean, it's one thing to have an ultimate, but is it necessary to shout it out?"
"Don't you do that too?" Gohan said. "You've called out your attack names as well."
"Yeah, but like I told Midnight yesterday, I did this stuff originally to poke fun at guys like Ryu, mostly during the time I was invited to take part in a Street Fighter tournament," Peter said.
"Peter, I think you've been in Japan long enough to know the reason," Gohan said. "Yelling out attack names can be a bit of an adrenaline rush; it makes us feel powerful. Don't you get a nice rush out of shouting 'Maximum Spider' when doing that super cool web attack?"
"A little," Peter said.
"Plus, it lets your enemies know what attack kicked their butt," Gohan boasted.
"Not too far off there, young Gohan," All Might said. "Sometimes it's just a pride thing."
"Well what matters is that they've all got the hang of it by now, some of them are even stringing together special moves," Aizawa said, gesturing to Bakugo.
"Now, to concentrate the power from one hand at a single point," Bakugo readied his power and blasted through a rock. "AP Shot!"
"AP Shot?" Gohan asked.
"I think I overheard him saying it means 'Armor Piercing'," Peter said. "You know what's funny? A lot of these attacks are English names despite this being a Japanese school located in Japan."
"It's supposed to be fancy," All Might said. "Like how some native English speakers say Spanish words like 'amigo', and Italian words like 'arrivederci'," All Might explained. "Japan just likes English words, you'd be amazed how many Japanese people think American stuff is cool. I mean you yourself are a big name here despite being American."
"Guess Japan really loves Spiders," Peter jokingly commented. Suddenly his spider sense went off, "What in the world?"
"Hey watch out!" Bakugo called as a piece of rock fell toward All Might.
Just as Peter, Aizawa and Gohan were about to react, Izuku came speeding in, having activated his Full Cowling mode. "SMASH!"
With one swift kick, Izuku destroyed the rock with ease, this impressing everyone nearby, especially All Might, the hero looking super pleased by his protégé's speed and what seemed to be a new ability.
"Since All Might usually does battle through punches, and since I inherited One for All from him, I tried to emulate that," Izuku landed nearby, the rock having been destroyed. "But that held me back, and made me miss the obvious point! If I'm worried about my arms, then I'll use my legs! Full Cowling, Shoot Style!"
"Awesome..." Peter commented.
"What speed..." Gohan acknowledged.
"Yes, you did it kid," All Might praised.
