The exams continued, the UA kids were fighting off the other students while Aizawa, Miss Joke, Bobby and Rarity observed from the sidelines.
"These kids really hit the ground running," Bobby commented. "They came ready to kick ass, I respect that."
"Of course, everyone wants to pass immediately," Miss Joke said.
"Teamwork is the key, the smart ones will approach this tactfully," Aizawa said. "However, rushing in can likely backfire."
"Slow and steady wins the race," Bobby said. "The dumbest thing a hero can do is rush into a fight, just ask Peter."
"Oh come now Bobby dear, we both know another hero who's done such a thing," Rarity reminded.
"Yeah you're right..." Bobby said, almost as if realizing his wife's point. "Johnny is totally like that too, what a show-off. Really got his ass kicked by that villain guy on TV."
"That's a bit harsh, isn't he your friend?" Miss Joke asked.
"He is, that's why it pained me so much, because he really should have known better that night," Bobby said.
"Bobby, you know I love you, but we both know you probably would have made a similar mistake," Rarity said. "You three think you're invincible because of your powers, that mindset will lead to your downfall. I would rather that not happen to you or any of our friends, and it's something I certainly hope does not happen to these poor dears."
"Rarity knows her stuff, guess she can do more than just sew a dress," Aizawa noted. "But even she's been on the field of battle, so it makes sense that she's seen the consequences of these foolish actions."
"I guess it's no surprise that UA won't go down without a fight," Shindo said.
"Maybe not," came the voice of a nearby rock boy. "But we have a plan."
Shikkui Makabe, his quirk, Stiffening. He can harden anything he touches with his hands. It will not work on living things.
The hardened balls were tossed to another student with long hair, "I'll take it from here. Hope you don't mind me finishing ahead of our classmates, but at least enemies will go down in an elegant way. TARGET LOCK!" He threw the balls into the ground. "Boomerang, crescent moon trajectory. My aim is always true, and thanks to their ground travel, dodging will be impossible."
Itejiro Toteki, his quirk, Boomerang. He can throw objects at any trajectory with precise aiming.
"Where are they gonna emerge from?" Izuku wondered.
"I got this!" Jiro said, plugging her earphone jacks into a device on her hands. "Sounds Amplification, Amplify Eject!" She sent a huge wave through the ground. "Heartbeat Distortion!"
The ground began to crumble beneath their feet, many of the students jumping out of the way.
"She's breaking the ground apart!" Itejiro commented, just as the rock hard balls emerged from the ground. "Not that it matters!"
Four of them came at Mineta, the boy panicking, "They're coming for me!"
"I got you!" Mina readied her acid. "Maximum Strength Acidocity!" She created a shield over Mineta. "Protect this perv! Acid veil!"
Mineta took a sigh of relief, having been saved, "Thanks, that was such a cool move."
"It's my defensive special that creates a melty wall," Mina said. "Really great for defense."
"Ah, so they've already developed their ultimate moves," Miss Joke said.
"I remember when that was basically a meme, how times change," Bobby said.
"Don't you have Ultimate Moves?" Aizawa asked.
"Yeah, not the point though," Bobby said. "You're making it seem less cool by making it a requirement."
"Of course he feels that way too…," Aizawa lamented.
"Black Abyss!" Tokoyami said, covering up with Dark Shadow like upper body armor.
"Cooler name, much easier to say," Izuku said. "Guess he ended up taking Peter's advice."
"Piercing Twilight Claw!" Tokoyami said, using his Dark Shadow as an attempt to hit a girl, but failed as she shrunk her upper body."
"Whoa, that was close," the commented afterwards.
Tatami Nakagame, her quirk, Telescopic. She can pull her body in like a turtle.
"Interesting, this isn't the Class A from the Sports Festival," Shindo said. "Guess they trained to be better fighters."
"Looks like all the students are in a stalemate," Mara said, speaking into the microphone. "But don't worry, I'll update you each time you move to the next round."
"We need a strategy," Izuku scanned the field. "Right now everyone's focused on protecting their weakpoints. We gotta aim well and break through defenses. It's risky because we don't know their power, but right now, we don't have much of a choice. Right now they're playing safe, but soon the real fight will begin."
"So, you say UA looks ahead than other schools, huh Eraser?" Miss Joke asked. "Bit rude to assume us other schools don't have the same mindset. Strength of will is more important than going to a fancy school, those on top often underestimate those trying to knock them off."
"She's got you there Eraser, UA's not the only school with kids that pack a punch," Bobby said. "Being a UA alumni myself, along with having attended Xavier's school, I can definitely say the drive is there."
"Everyone, move!" Shindo said, placing his hands to the ground. "Let me break through their defenses!"
"That guy's up to something!" Mayday warned.
"Maximum Force..." Shindo created shockwaves along the ground. "Tremoring Earth!"
"Not good, everyone run!" Tenya urged as the ground broke apart.
The attack was so monumental, it destroyed the floor area, scattering the class about. Izuku in particular got separated from his friends.
"You're not the only kids with Ultimate Moves you know," Shindo taunted.
Yo Shindo, his quirk, Vibrate. He can create mini Earthquakes though the aftershock will temporarily paralize his body.
"That kid has the same ability as Avalanche," Bobby noted. "Still, that's one damn strong attack, if he's only a rookie then he's got an amazing amount of potential."
Off in the distance, Shoto could sense what was happening. "Is that an Earthquake? No, it's someone's quirk most likely. I hope my classmates are unharmed, maybe leaving wasn't the best idea." Shoto shook his head, "No, I need to have more faith in them."
Elsewhere a tornado was rounding up some of the player balls, to the confusion of the students who lost them.
"Hey what in the world is going on!?" a guy asked.
"Where is this wind coming from!?" a girl asked.
On top of a building, Inasa was shown as the one creating the tornado, "I believe all heroes should have passion in what they do! I can see it in all of you! Thank you so much!"
"Is that the guy from Shiketsu High!?" a student asked. "What is he doing!?"
"Allow me to show my own passion!" Inasara said, sending the player balls back down at the students, hitting all of their targets and eliminating a huge chunk of them.
This was alerted to Mara, the overseer waking up from a nap, "Did someone finally pass? It's about-WHAAAAT!? 120 people got taken down by a single person!? In just one attack too!?"
"Yes! I won!" Inasara said.
"That surprised me so much that I'm fully awake!" Mara said. "At least people will be passing sooner than expected. Keep it up so that I can take a break!"
"I swear that guy sounds a bit unprofessional," Bobby said.
"I can barely tell, I'm not entirely fluent in Japanese, but he did sound rather tired before, he might be getting cranky," Rarity said.
Izuku shook off his shock from the earlier attack, "That student has one strong quirk. The power reminds me of Avalanche of The Brotherhood. At least it's being used by a would-be hero rather than a villain." Izuku then noticed he was alone, "Looks like we've been split up, was this their plan? I gotta find my classmates, or anyone for that matter. These other schools have had so long to work as a team, at least one year ahead of us." Izuku looked ahead, reminiscing about his opponents. "Strong as everyone is, for some reason, I feel excited."
Suddenly Camie had shown up, hitting one of Izuku's pads. "Tag! You're it!"
"What in the world!?" Izuku freaked. "Where did she come from!?"
"You let yourself get distracted, very poor choice," Camie said, focusing on Izuku. "It's weird though, you're smiling, even though you're in a bad situation."
"She's from Shiketsu," Izuku remembered, taking note of her costume.
"You know, something about you seems really cool though," Camie said.
Not too far off, Ochako was shaking off her own shock, "Well this is a bad situation. I can't call out to my friends, I might risk getting surrounded by the other schools. What would Spider-Man do at a time like this? Well, he would stay calm and assess the situation, so that's what I need to do, just play it cool."
Mayday had leapt near the top of some rocks, hoping to find any of her classmates, "That rockslide was more detrimental than I though. Should have webbed the guy when I had the chance." She quickly leapt around, knowing not to stay in one place too long, "Better find my classmates, I think Izuku landed somewhere not too far from here, better hurry."
Back with Camie, the girl continued to mock Izuku, "When it comes to one-on-one fight opportunities, it's always smart to go after opponents you know more about. That's why I came after you since the UA students will likely be ganged up on. I didn't want to miss out on interacting with a prestigious school, and I've taken an interest in you."
"You're quite the talker," Izuku said, powering up his Full Cowling. "Ketsubutsu Academy will show up any second now. Now's not the time for idle chatter, but something tells me she's already aware, is she just being overconfident? Or is she planning an ambush?" Camie tried attacking with both a rock throw, then a ball throw, Izuku quickly dodging, then losing sight of her. "Wait, where is she!?"
Camie showed up at the last second, "Now for the second tap!"
"No way!" Izuku leapt back, ready to strike with his own ball. "Time to counter!"
Izuku could see she was completely out of sight once again, confusing the boy. "You think my quirk lets me disappear?" He heard just as the girl pinned him down to the ground, "I was just hiding."
"It's not your power?" Izuku asked, glaring behind at the girl.
"No, it's just a technique I developed," Camie said, pressing her breasts against his back in a seductive manner. "I hold my breath, clear my mind and disappear. Truth be told, not thinking is the hardest part for me."
"Did you learn that at Shiketsu?" Izuku asked.
"Let's just say if you don't think of your training as a chore, you can accomplish a lot of impressive things," Camie said. "Now tell me, why do you want to be a hero? Is it for honor? Or personal pride? Or are you doing this to impress someone else? Tell me your deepest desires and your fears!"
Izuku immediately broke free of his situation, putting immediate distance between the two. However there was a big rumble on the ground, and almost immediately a gust of wind burst through the ground, startling both Izuku and Camie.
"Oh great, looks like Shiketsu wants that boy as well," a student said, his classmates joining him.
"This isn't good, more of them are here now," Izuku commented. Camie looked just as frustrated, feeling like she was now losing her opportunity to have Izuku all to herself.
Within seconds the kids all began throwing their balls to the two, hoping to take out at least one of them, Izuku taking his moment to avoid any sign of danger.
"Gotta keep dodging!" Izuku said, moving out the way of all the attacks that came his way.
"Come on, we gotta-" one of the students took a hard kick to the head, to the surprise of Izuku.
"Mayday!?" Izuku commented.
"I got you buddy!" Mayday used her webbing to tie up a bunch of the other kids before leaping towards Izuku to help. "Come on, let's get out of here."
"Don't let them escape!" student said, though as he was about to attack, Mayday webbed his hand up.
"I knew Spider-Man's daughter would be trouble, especially after seeing her fight at the Sports Festival," a student said. "But if we all work together-"
"Take this!" Izuku used his Full Cowling to send a kick with a shockwave strong enough to bring down the mountain, taking all the students with it.
"Awesome move Izuku!" Mayday said, gesturing away. "Let's hurry out of here!"
"Deku! Mayday!" Called Ochako, the girl getting the two's attention.
"Is that Uraraka?" Izuku asked.
"Over here! Quick!" Ochako beckoned. "I can get us to safety!"
"Lucky us, another classmate to help us out," Mayday said, taking note of the oncoming students. "Let's hurry."
"Right," Izuku said, speeding up alongside Mayday. "Looks like my training's paying off, the more I train my legs, the faster I can be, and the less damage I can do to my arms."
"Looks like a thirtieth kid passed, but we still have a ways to go," Mara said. "Please speed this along so I can get some sleep."
"Thought he was awake," Bobby commented.
"I do hope our boys make it through, same with Mayday and Flurry," Rarity said.
"What about the little Cinnamon Bun?" Bobby teased.
"Oh come off it, Bobby," Rarity said. "But yes, I'm pulling for him too. If we're lucky, all of UA will pass this exam."
"Easy to see where your Loyalty lies," Miss Joke teased.
Rarity whispered to Bobby, "Is she being sarcastic or genuine?"
"Probably both," Bobby said.
"One thing I will agree with my students on is this, it seems like Midoriya really is popular among some of these pros, at least ones friends with Spider-Man and Princess Twilight," Aizawa noted. "I don't want to sound like I'm putting him down when I say this, but what is it about Midoriya that has them so interested? Is there something they're hoping to see out of him? Something they're planning? Hope they don't mean to nurture this somewhat rebellious streak he's demonstrated, I'm not about to allow any of my students to fall down the wrong path of heroics."
Bobby glanced at Aizawa without making it too obvious, "Why do I get the feeling that guy doesn't trust me? Better not be feeling that way, you're the one who needs to earn our trust. I hope that these students don't turn out as crummy as you, though if Peter's concerns are anything to note, it might be possible that UA is more focused on creating machines than actual heroes. Gone are those rose-colored glasses for UA High."
Not too long later, the trio of Izuku, Ochako and Mayday hid behind a rock formation, Izuku trying to keep a look out for the other students.
"Are they still there?" Mayday asked.
"I don't see anyone, they might have given up, but don't let your guard down," Izuku said.
"I won't," Mayday replied. "Man, our school has quite the reputation, seems like everyone wants to take us down."
"Well UA does do a Sports Festival, plus we've been in the limelight a lot as of late," Izuku said. "Our powers are easier for them to figure out, that puts us at a disadvantage."
"Well knowing what we can do doesn't equal being able to stop us," Mayday said.
"That's right, we can do this, together!" Ochako said.
"Yeah, together," Izuku replied.
Mayday suddenly had a funny feeling in her head, her spider sense was going off and she couldn't figure out why, "Izuku, we should go."
"Not yet, we don't want to leave ourselves open," Izuku said. "Just stick it out a bit longer."
"Yeah but...I really think we should be going," Mayday said, her head ringing a lot, her discomfort rising. "Something's about to get us."
"Huh? How can you be so sure?" Izuku asked.
"Because..." Mayday immediately turned around and kicked Ochako back, this action surprising Izuku.
"Mayday!? What was that for!?" Izuku shouted.
"That's not Ochako, she's an imposter!" Mayday said, glaring at the gravity girl.
"Huh?" Izuku said, looking toward Ochako as she pulled herself up. "What are you talking about."
"I'll show you!" Mayday said, marching over. "Hey you! If you're Ochako Uraraka, then tell me, why do you want to be a hero!?"
"Huh?" Ochako pulled herself up, curiously glancing at Mayday.
"Tell me, or are you just a fake?" Mayday asked, aiming her webbing. "I swear will tie you up in a heartbeat! Now start talking!"
"Mayday are you insane!?" Izuku asked. "What's gotten into you!?"
"Izuku, I know this is strange, but you gotta trust me," Mayday replied. "I saw her trying to tag you a moment ago." "Plus my Spider-Sense is hardly ever wrong."
Izuku turned to his supposed classmate, "Is that true? Are you really not Uraraka?"
"Hehe, gotta say Spider-Girl, you're quite perspective," 'Ochako' said as her skin seemed to melt, startling the two.
"Oh God, is she melting!?" Mayday asked, freaking out.
"I guess I shouldn't be surprised, I hear your daddy is quite good at figuring this stuff out himself, oh how I wish he were here instead of you though, that man is really a pleasant sight for the eyes," the fake said.
"Do not, please do not," Mayday said in disgust.
"Wait, is this the same girl from before?" Izuku asked as her true face became visible.
"Same girl?" Mayday asked.
"Earlier on I got attacked by a Shiketsu girl, she tagged me once and has been trying to since," Izuku said. "Is this her true quirk?"
"Wait this girl tagged you?" Mayday asked, looking back to Camie. "How did you-"
After melting the fake skin off, Camie was fully exposed to the two, the girl completely naked and baring it all. This sight had startled the two once again, but for different reasons.
"Holy whoa! You're naked!" Izuku shouted. "Where did your clothes go!?"
"Izuku! Shield your eyes!" Mayday shouted, covering the boy's face.
"AH Mayday!" Izuku shouted in annoyance. "What are you doing!?"
"Don't let the purity of your innocent mind be tainted by such shameless display female nudity!" Mayday shouted.
"Mayday I've seen violent villains and I've heard Kacchan use very vulgar language, this is nothing compared to that!" Izuku said, pulling away.
"Oh right, you are Japanese after all," Mayday said. "You're from the land of hentai."
Izuku raised his eyebrow in confusion, "What's that suppose to-"
"Time to complete my mission!" Camie said, about to attack the two, Mayday leaping back with Izuku.
"Alright she's really pissing me off!" Mayday said. "Time to knock this fluzzy out!"
Before she could strike, Sero's tape came flying in, nearly grabbing Camie, "Quite a situation you two found yourself in!"
"Sero?" Izuku said, surprised to see the tape user.
"Go for it, Uraraka!" Sero said, Ochako leaping overhead.
"Release!" She attempted to land on Camie, but the girl leapt out of the way in time, cartwheeling to the top of a rock formation. "Wow she's athletic."
"What a shame, things were really starting to get good," Camie said as she temporarily took a seat. "I really wanted to talk you some more, Izuku. I don't mind Spider-Man's little girl being here, if only because her father is so fascinating, and I hoped to see if she was anything like him. A girl closer to my age would be a little less taboo than going for an adult man like Peter Parker."
"Something about this girl really gets my senses tingling," Mayday stood by Izuku, instinctively ready to protect him. "Also, is she hitting on me!? After admitting my dad's attractive!? This is all kind's of weird."
"I really, REALLY, want to talk to you both some more, but there's way too many people around," Camie said. "Gotta say though, Ochako Uraraka, I may just want to see you personally later as well."
"You wanna what now?" Ochako asked. Before she could question some more, Camie leapt away.
"Hey come back naked girl!" Sero called.
"Wait, don't follow her!" Izuku warned. "Considering she doesn't have her clothes, she wouldn't have any available targets for us to get a point off of her!"
"Yeah good point, honestly stripping naked feels like cheating," Mayday said. "You gotta have a shit load of self-confidence to do something like that."
"She sounded a bit flirty, what was that about?" Sero asked.
"Don't ask, seems like she's more willing to get some of us in bed, boy or girl, than focused on being a pro hero," Mayday said. "I've seen some weird stuff since coming to Japan, but this really tops it. Almost tempted to ask my dad if he's seen anything like this before."
"Oh, by the way, Uraraka, Sero, you two are actually you right now right?" Izuku asked. "Same with you Mayday?"
"Huh? Izuku I'm clearly me, I just saved you from her!" Mayday said. "Geez, get to know your friends."
"Hey cut him a break Parker," Sero said. "Maybe Midoriya has a valid reason for asking, can't be too careful in this test."
"Well, it's just that, the girl we fought, she looked like Uraraka before," Izuku said.
This got a huge blush out of both Ochako and Sero, the latter immediately freaking out, "Wait! Was she naked then too!?"
"Huh? No! She had clothes on!" Izuku nervously insisted. "Tell him Mayday!"
"Oh, you trust who I am now, interesting," Mayday said in a mock hurt voice.
"Mayday!" Izuku scolded.
"Just teasing," Mayday said, sticking her tongue out a second. "You know you love that about me."
"Mayday…" Izuku said, getting very crossed with this girl.
"It's almost weird seeing Izuku mad, honestly I kind of like it, he looks so…manly," Mayday blushed a bit at new thoughts coming to her mind.
Ochako furrowed her brow at Mayday, somewhat bitter at the girl, "Well considering you've proven before you can be sneaky yourself, I don't blame Deku for not trusting you as well."
"Well moving on then," Sero said, regaining his composure. "You said she was Urakaka at some point right?"
"Yeah, my guess is that she's a shapeshifter," Izuku said.
"Man, we can't underestimate these teams, can we?" Sero said. "I mean, they even knew about you and Uraraka being friends."
"We were on the same team at the Sports Festival after all," Izuku pointed out.
"That has me worried, for all I know, that girl could come back pretending to be Flurry," Mayday said. "Of course it won't work on me, still, I'll be a little ticked off if someone masqueraded as my cousin."
"So what, do we just not trust anyone now?" Sero asked.
"Hopefully it doesn't come to that extreme, but we should exercise caution," Izuku said.
Mayday chuckled to herself, "You know, it's funny, my family has a weird history against Shapeshifters, given my mom's battles with Queen Chrysalis and my dad's battles against The Chameleon. Oh and there's The Skrulls, a whole planet of shapeshifters, pretty intense stuff."
"Alright, we get it, you have hero knowledge from being part of a hero family," Ochako said. "How is any of this helping?"
"It should be obvious, I hear stories from my family and friends," Mayday said. "Their stories help me figure things out that most heroes in training wouldn't know, especially mudbloods."
"Mudblood?" Ochako said in confusion.
"Stay focused please," Sero said, then turned to Mayday. "Any tips on how to distinguish real from fake?"
"All I can tell you is this, keep an eye out for mannerisms," Mayday said. "It doesn't matter how convincing they look; a shapeshifter cannot perfectly replicate a person unless they know absolutely EVERYTHING about that person. Not saying it can't work, some shapeshifters are really good at faking it, but there's only so much they can do." "It also helps having a spider sense but neither one of these three have anything like that."
"That does sound like good advice," Izuku said. "Oh, by the way. Sero, Uraraka, how did you two find us?"
"I just heard a fight and ran to help," Sero said. "I ran into Uraraka on the way."
"Well, I'm glad you two are here," Izuku said.
"So are we," Ochako said. "Right now, we're a quartet. What's next?"
"We should try to meet with our classmates, we're safer in numbers," Sero said.
"Easier said than done," Mayday said. "Plus, I'm kind of worried about Trunks and Goten, I'm surprised neither one of them made a move, unless they're just waiting for worthy competition."
"Just remember, thirty people have already passed, if we're gonna pass too, we need to earn some points," Izuku said.
Up above, Goten and Trunks were waiting on top of a rock formation, looking at the teams below.
"Should we, you know, start gathering points?" Goten asked.
"We can do that anytime we want," Trunks said. "Let's just enjoy the show a bit."
"Yeah, but I'm getting a bit restless, kind of want to see if anyone's willing to give me a decent challenge," Goten said.
"I doubt it, I can sense their power levels, none of them even feel that high," Trunks said.
"Don't let that fool you, when my dad fought that weird villain the other day, he said he couldn't sense his power either, that didn't stop him from beating my dad, and my brother," Goten said. "Quirks are not like power levels, it's not all energy based, it's different."
"I still say that guy got lucky against Goku and Gohan, I say my dad probably could have taken him, he just wanted to let All Might have one final moment of glory," Trunks said. "Besides, do you really think any of these kids could come close to that villain's level? No way in hell."
"Yeah, guess you're right," Goten said, flying off the rock formation. "Still, I'm gonna go see if I can get a decent fight."
"You do what you want," Trunks said, standing up himself. "Maybe I'll check on the competition myself, see what's down there."
"Catch you in the winner's circle," Goten said, flying off with Trunks doing the same.
Downtown, Inko was seen carrying groceries, making her way home. Things have been a little different around the house, considering her son was now in the UA Dorms.
"I hope Izuku's doing well, should I pass by the Dorms to see him? As his mother I think they would let me in," Inko shook it off. "Though, that might embarrass him. I have to let him do what he feels he needs to do and show my support any way I can."
Down the block, a woman was crossing the street with her dog, the two nearly getting rammed by a speeding car. Fortunately, Gohan showed up at the last second to pull her out the way while Peter landed on top of the car.
"You are in serious violation of the speed limit!" Peter said. The two robbers in the car tried shooting at Peter but he webbed away their guns, pulled them both out and wrapped them up, sending them sticking to a wall.
Logan then showed up and caught the car using his bare hands, skidding back a bit , and eventually hoisting the car into the air before safely setting it down.
"Oh my," Inko said, rushing to the scene along with the crowd, all of them praising the work of the three heroes.
"Arigato! Thank you!" Peter said, bowing excessively.
"Parker, you don't gotta bow that much," Logan said.
"Can I get a picture!?" a guy asked, then immediately started flashing his camera.
"Sure...go nuts," Peter said.
"Get my good side," Gohan said, flexing his arm.
"Dude..." Peter scolded.
Gohan sheepishly shrugged, "Just having some fun."
"Alright, that's enough, out of the way," Logan said, moving past the crowd.
"Sorry, he hadn't had his coffee yet," Peter joked, following after Logan with Gohan.
"Freaking cameramen," Logan said.
"Well that's hero life, I mean I was no different, I literally took selfies as one of my first jobs," Peter said.
"How long did that job last you?" Logan said. "Jameson's still ticked off at you for that crap."
"He wanted pictures of Spider-Man, then I made a little extra by creating another alter ego," Peter said.
"Wasn't one of them called 'Ricochet'?" Gohan asked.
"I had a few, mostly to do stuff I couldn't do as Spider-Man," Peter said. "Plus, the extra pay from The Daily Bugle certainly helped. Not too proud of that these days but I was a kid and I kind of needed money, especially during the summer when I was back home in Queens."
"I wasn't too different, I mean I was once The Golden Fighter," Gohan said. "Though that was mostly an accident."
"Those days are behind me, I know what's important, that's protecting people, even from the shadows," Peter said. "Though at the same time, it doesn't hurt for people to know we're here, give them a sense of security since All Might retired."
"Right, we just need to not get carried away with it," Gohan said. "Remember our humble origins."
"Oh! Mr. Logan!" Came Inko's voice, gaining curiosity from the heroes.
"Inko?" Logan said.
Inko ran over, still carrying her bags, "It's so nice to see you again Mr. Logan, I saw what you did a moment ago, great teamwork."
"It's nothing, as long as people are safe," Logan said, looking over to the scene, the cops having finally arrived.
"Logan, do you know this woman?" Peter asked.
"This is Izuku's mother, Inko Midoriya," Logan introduced.
"Wait really!?" Peter turned to Inko. "No way, you're Izuku's mom?"
"Yes, that's me," Inko said. "It's nice to formally meet you Mr. Spider-Man."
"Call me 'Peter'," the hero said, removing his mask. "We're both parents of UA kids after all. Gotta say, your son's really impressive. He's a hard-working kid and he has so much potential to be a great hero."
"I'm so happy to hear that, it means a lot for a hero of your presigue to see the value in my son," Inko said.
"Come on, prestige? I'm just a guy from Queens, anyone with eyes can see that Izuku has the drive to be a great hero, you raised a great kid, ma'am," Peter said.
"Just 'Inko' is fine, dear," Inko said. "My, I must say, you look so much younger in person. How old are you if I may ask."
"I'm 34," Peter confirmed.
"Wow, 34 and with a teenage daughter," Inko said. "Time certainly has been good to you, wish I could say the same."
"You? I mean you look just fine, I won't ask your age, I know that's one thing to never ask a woman, along with her height and weight," Peter said.
"Especially in Japan," Logan said.
"Right, still, I think you look just fine Inko," Peter said.
"You're too kind," Inko said. "Izuku tells me a lot about you, and about your daughter. I do wish I could meet her someday."
"That's kind of weird that you've never met her, I mean given everything that's happened this last year, especially the past few months, I would have thought we'd have seen you...uh, certain places," Peter said. "Probably shouldn't say 'Hospital', might bring up bad memories."
"Well, I did meet your cousin once, and I saw your niece," Inko said. "One day when Izuku's home, I'd love to invite your whole family. It'd be great seeing your wife and daughter."
"Sure, a Parker and Midoriya family dinner. I'll bring my son too," Peter said. "Will your husband be home?"
"My husband, works abroad most of the time," Inko confirmed. "It was usually just me and Izuku at home, until he moved into the dorms that is."
"Ah, I see," Peter said.
"I do miss living with my son, do you feel the same about your daughter?" Inko asked.
"Totally, I love Mayday more than anything, I love my niece too, it's not easy being separated from your child," Peter said. "This is probably what my Aunt felt when I came to Japan as a kid, the difference is that she's all the way overseas, so it was harder for her. Though, that went both ways, it was hard for me too, I mean my Aunt is basically my mother, it hurts being away from a parent. I get the feeling that Izuku misses living with you too."
"You really think so? I mean, this is his dream, and he was so adamant about moving to the dorms," Inko said. "For a while, I worried that I actually drove him away."
"Inko, your son loves you, but he also knows being a hero means making tough choices," Logan said. "You did nothing to drive him away, I know he got a little mad that day but-"
"It wasn't that..." Inko said. "I once said something to Izuku that I feel so bad for, I know he's moved on but I can't help but feel he would have been a lot more confident if I handled a certain situation differently."
Peter wanted to inquire, but his sense alerted him to more danger, "Inko, I'd love to talk more, but duty calls."
"More trouble huh?" Gohan said.
Peter wrote something down, "This is the phone number to my Condo, call me if there's anything you're concerned or worried about."
"Oh, thank you," Inko said, taking the number.
"When my daughter and niece went back to UA, I made a promise that I would watch out for them," Peter said, placing his mask back on. "I'm extending that to your son, Inko. I will keep Izuku safe." "I'll keep all those kids safe."
The trio of heroes sped off, leaving Inko to herself a moment, "What a nice young man." She looked to the number she was given. "Maybe I'll take him up on this later."
Back at that same Condo, Twilight looked out the window, wishing she could be out there. While her jaw had gotten better and she could talk more, Peter wanted to be sure she was a hundred percent before she went out.
The damage done that night was definitely consequential, especially from what she heard about Rainbow Dash, and the worry that she would not be able to run as well as she used to. Johnny also felt some aftermath with really bad headaches. Knowing his skull was fractured in the fight was worrying to Twilight.
Fortunately Doctor Strange promised to keep an eye on them, his medical expertise and guidance being potentially vital to their full recovery. Twilight knew that Doctor Strange would take their injuries very seriously and do what he can to help, as he too understands the burden of what an everlasting injury can do to an individual.
She had other things on her mind at the moment, such as Mayday and Flurry taking their Provisional Exams, Twilight hoping the girls do well, in addition to their many classmates, including Izuku, the boy who had captured her daughter's attention.
"Wish I could be there..." Twilight said to the best of her ability. "Rarity should be there, I can call her later. I hope everything turns out alright."
Also wondering the Provisional Exam was Goku, the Saiyan Warrior looking into the distance, knowing his son was aiming to get a license as well, "Wonder if they'd let me go and check on him." Goku shrugged it off, "I guess he'll be fine, Goten's strong. But, strength isn't everything, this will probably be a great learning experience for him, teach him how to fight alongside or against certain quirk users. He and Trunks have quite the trial ahead."
Vegeta looked on from Capsule Corp, also just as aware of his son's license exam, while just as curious about his old students, Kirishima and Tetsutetsu. "A good warrior knows how to adapt to situations. Power is not enough to make it out of a situation unscathed. Trunks, you, your friend and those students will all learn one way or another how to properly adapt and make use of your surroundings and advantages. If not, I'll have to show you, but my way won't be as nice as whatever the Hero Society thinks is tame enough."
Meanwhile Shoto waited around an Industrial area, "Many of the students are working together in large numbers. I could try to single one out, but I may run the risk of going against a quirk I'm powerless against. It might be better to just let them fight each other and pick them off later."
Just then, Mara's voice came on the loudspeaker, "Alright, seems like about fifty-two, strike that, fifty three have passed, while two hundred and thirty examinees have failed. Less than half the spots remain, don't dally kids."
"I don't have the time to wait around," Shoto said, making his move to find some opponents.
Suddenly a ball came charging at Shoto, the boy immediately burning it with his fire. "Hey, not bad!" came the voice of what looked like a ninja in red surrounded by friends, representatives of Seijin High. "Not bad for someone who shared the third place position at the Sports Festival. You're Shoto Todoroki right? You must be really confident wandering around by yourself."
"Even if he is from UA, acting alone is grounds for trouble," a green ninja said.
"A ten on one fight works well for us," a ninja in blue said.
"Perfect, I don't have to seek opponents out now," Shoto said, getting into a fight position.
"You think you're so cool," the ninja in red said as all of them threw their balls at Shoto. Suddenly he created an ice barrier to deflect them immediately. Shoto then send down more ice, using it to trap the feet of the ninja. "No! I can't move."
"Why are you so surprised!? You said you saw me at the Sports Festival!" Shoto said.
"Cocky punk!" the ninja in red siad, throwing a nut at Shoto, one that immediately enlarged. Fortunately Shoto was able to block with his ice.
"Hm, his quirk lets him make things bigger," Shoto noticed.
"I brought more with me!" the ninja said, throwing other nuts and some nails.
"Gotta be prepared just in case he brought more," Shoto acknowledged. The more that came at the ice, the more the ice cracked until it broke, Shoto immediately dodging to safety.
A giant nut came at Shoto, that he immediately used his fire to push back, however it was much more durable than he expected, Shoto immediately leaping out of the way again.
"I couldn't even leave a mark!" Shoto commented.
"Tungsten has a super high melting point, it won't be destroyed so easily," the ninja said, freeing his allies. "Top student or not, thinking you can pass alone is completely foolish!"
Shoto realized he was in a precarious position, but he was not ready to back down.
