The battle for the Provisional Licenses continued, Mara speaking through his loudspeaker. "That makes sixty-seven, almost at the end. Hurry up you last thirty-eight."
One boy, Shindo was seen giving a pep talk to his classmates, "Alright everyone, let's consider the situation. At the beginning of the test, we targeted UA and split them apart. This should have been our advantage but other schools are trying to make use of our hard work. Everyone's fighting at their best, it's an all out battlefield."
"Gotta say, your attack didn't work out so well for us," his classmate Tatami said. "We didn't get any points."
"Maybe I didn't think things through," Shindo admitted. "But this still works to our advantage. So long as we don't freak out, we can take advantage of the situation and the desperation of the other students. They're probably panicking at the little number of slots remaining, so they're just focusing on UA since they're more known, this will give us a good chance to strike. We have this test in the bag."
"At least you're not pretending to be super nice," Tatami said. "You're actually really sneaky Yo."
"I prefer to think of it as being tactful," Shindo said. "If we swoop in at the eleventh hour, it will prove our indominable spirit. Everyone taking the exam is struggling to live up to their own ideals. I respect that, but we can't afford to take it easy."
It was around this point, Shindo's team found two stragglers, ready to take them down and become one step closer to passing.
Back with Bakugo, he had hit Seiji with his patent AP Shot: Auto Cannon, disorienting the boy and seemingly destroying his arms. "Good thing I made a weak version so I didn't kill anyone."
"You're way too terrifying sometimes," Kaminari said.
"As long as he knows it's not okay to kill your enemies," Flurry said. "Like a true hero."
"Says the girl who looks up to Wonder Woman," Bakugo said. "I guarantee she doesn't have your Uncle's No-Kill rule."
"At least she's not a bully like you are," Flurry then noticed something. "Wait, so those things were a part of his body?"
Trunks looked on curiously from above, "This guy's seriously giving me Majin Buu vibes."
"Bakugo reacts impulsively to provocation, this comes from an inflated sense of pride," Seiji noted, then sent more. "I will teach you how to behave like proper heroes myself!"
"Stand back everyone," Flurry said, readying her Crystal Love attack. "I'll knock him out and-"
"Screw that, I'm taking him down myself!" Bakugo shouted, dashing towards Seiji.
"Katsuki!" Flurry shouted in annoyance. "Why can't he just work as a teammate for once!?"
"And I thought my pops was a proud loner," Trunks noted.
"Take this!" Bakugo began blasting all the goop nearby, keeping everything at a distance.
"Let's just get this fight over with," Kaminari said, sending out some red discs, ones that missed Seiji. "Dammit!"
"I got this!" Flurry sent some blasts at the other student, most of them blocked by the goop.
"Seems none of you are doing well," Seiji said. "Don't worry, I'll at least fix your appearance."
"Ew! You keep that stuff away from me!" Flurry shouted, sending more blasts. "Minoru! Back us up a bit!"
"R-right, just gotta..." Mineta freaked out the moment a goop got close. "Oh crap!"
Flurry quickly turned around and blasted the goop, "You have to focus! You're going to end up-"
"Watch out!" Mineta shouted, a goop coming in behind her. Suddenly it got blasted from the air above. "Huh? What just happened?"
"You owe me for that one, Princess," Trunks said to himself.
"Take this!" Bakugo continued to blast at Seiji until he felt himself grabbed from behind. "What the!?"
"You let yourself get distracted," Seiji said. "While you were busy blasting, I sent one under the bridge, and now it's circled back to get you."
"Oh crap!" Kaminari shouted in worry.
"As you saw earlier with Kirishima, once I touch you, then you're just another plaything," Seiji said as the goop wrapped around Bakugo's head.
"No! Bakugo!" Kaminari shouted in worry.
"Catch this!" Bakugo shouted just as he was turned into a goop himself, Kaminari catching something thrown at him.
"You must be remade from scratch," Seiji said.
Seiji Shishikura. His quirk: Meatball. He can reshape flex by massaging it. He can turn someone into a ball, but his own flesh can be used to take different forms.
"Ugh...Katsuki..." Flurry again had to try not to barf. "I don't like you or anything but, this is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy."
Mineta pulled at her arm, "Let's get out of here before we get turned into gobs of goo ourselves!"
"No way, we have to save our teammates," Flurry said. "Heroes don't abandon their friends."
"It's hopeless, this is merely a demonstration," Seiji said. "You know, I will admit, when I heard of this low passing rate, I thought it was counterproductive given this world's current status. With All Might retired, I figured it would be smarter to flood the streets with heroes. It is possible they are trying to weed out the riff-raff, bring the profession of hero to a higher level. I too agree with this way of thinking, which is why..."
From above, Trunks began to freak out, "What in the world!?"
"Trunks!?" Flurry looked up to see the Half-Saiyan boy get grabbed by the goop.
"Wait, where did he come from!?" Mineta asked.
Flurry remembered being saved earlier on from a random attack, she thought it might have been from Bakugo's blasts, but now she's having a different idea. "Was he the one who helped me earlier? Why would he want to help me though?"
Suddenly the goop of Trunks hit the ground near Seiji, the student finishing his speech, "This is why I've decided to help thin the herd myself."
"He actually got Trunks!?" Flurry said in surprise.
"You're talking crazy man," Kaminari said.
"I'm just separating the mediocre from the extraordinary," Seiji said, stepping on Kirishima. "By the way, your friends still feel pain in this form. So your untamed electricity will hurt them if you use it."
"My magic isn't untamed, how about I blast you and free my friends!" Flurry said.
"You really think I am worried about you? I easily dispatched not only two of your powerful allies, I even took a bystander by surprise when he thought he was being sneaky," Seiji said, looking to Trunks. "Strong as he might be, even he can't match against my quirk."
"You really like insulting people, don't you?" Kaminari said. "It's really not cool, I'm actually starting to feel a bit offended."
"Then take time to reflect on your failure!" Just as Seiji sent his goop, Kaminari sent out an explosion. "How!? I captured Bakugo!"
"Look again!" Flurry said, gesturing to Kaminari's gauntlet. "Katsuki's quirk lets him create grenades to be used, kind of handy."
"So, he tossed it to Kaminari at the last second then," Seiji said.
"By the way, you fell into my trap!" Kaminari said, sending electricity through Seiji and his red discs that he threw earlier.
"Whoa, Kaminari! You're controlling your electricity!?" Mineta asked.
"Thank the support course," Kaminari said, keeping the power going. "Mr. Power Loader and Hatsumei hooked me up with awesome gear! It's called a Pointer and Shooter!"
"Hatsumei? Oh, the inventor girl?" Furry said.
"Got that right," Kaminari said, recalling Mei's words.
"This baby is something me and Power Loader Collaborated on. Fire with the pointer set to shooter and the projectile will stick on impact! If you're within ten meters of the spot you tagged, the electricity will be gathered in a single line. If you have more than one target, use the dial to select them. The attack scope will lock on to their exact location!"
Seiji nearly fell to his knees after the blast, Flurry still looking amazed. "This is great Denki, you have better control of your powers. Keep it up and you'll be able to do even more amazing things."
"It's funny, now I understand why Bakugo used the attack he did," Kaminari said, confusing his two friends. "He wasn't just testing a smaller ranged attack, he also wanted to make sure none of us got caught in the explosion. He actually considered our wellbeing."
"Huh, so he can be considerate when he wants to," Flurry said.
"Bakugo seems like a jerk on the surface, but he is trying hard to be a pro hero," Kaminari said, then turned to Seiji. "You hear that!? Bakugo is more cautious than you give him credit for, he showed great planning with throwing that grenade to me. Meanwhile Kirishima is loyal enough to run into enemy territory for the sake of his friends."
"Say what you want about our teamwork, but we at least try our best," Flurry said as the globs of Kirishhima, Bakugo and Trunks were beginning to reform.
"No...I'm losing my hold..." Seiji muttered, trying to regain composure.
"Don't you look down on us man! We're more capable than you think we are!" Kaminari said as he and Flurry readied to fight, and Mineta to an extent.
"I'll put you in your place, right now!" Seiji was about to attack again but Kirishima had reformed and punched him in the stomach, allowing Trunks to get a kick to the head and Bakugo to blast him.
"Oh sweet, they're back to normal," Mineta said.
"You boys alright?" Flurry asked.
"We're fine, seems like he loses his control over us when he takes too much damage," Kirishima said.
"Which is why he's using long distance," Bakugo said.
"A quirk like that requires more stealth and precision than anything else," Trunks said. "Still, you did alright, electric guy."
"Good on you," Kirishima said.
"What the hell took you so long though!?" Bakugo shouted.
"Hey, don't yell at Denki!" Flurry said. "He was actually really cool just now, show him a little respect."
"Such a pure hearted girl..." Kaminari felt, eyeing Flurry with admiration.
"Hey check it out," Mineta said. "Those other flesh balls are waking up."
"Looks like we got targets," A sinister Bakugo said.
On the main field, Izuku is seen dashing through the field alongside his classmates, "Hurry up Sero, we gotta move!"
"I have an idea, carry me and jump!" Sero said. "Trust me on this!"
"Alright," Izuku said, grabbing Sero as they leapt into the air.
"Uraraka! Do it!" Sero shouted, the girl releasing her quirk as rocks with tape fell on the other students.
"They just dropped boulders on us!" A student said.
"Not me though," another student said, then suddenly got webbed up. "What in the world!?"
"Forget me?" Mayday taunted, then immediately webbed up another student, taking time to make sure no one was spared their binding.
"Sero and I were able to determine the best way to catch a bunch of students at once," Ochako said.
"With my help," Mayday said.
"Right..." Ochako said, feeling mild annoyance. "At least this way, things work out for us."
"At least 75 have passed," Mara said. "We'll be at capacity soon."
"We don't have much time, let's do what we need to do," Sero said.
"Aren't you kids first years? Can't you cut us a break!" a student said. "We have to earn our licenses!"
"Hey, if you can't make it during practice, then you're pretty much screwed in the field," Mayday said, looking over a target to hit. "Think of this as us actual heroes saving your lives."
"She's a little out of line, but she might have a point, hopefully this motivates these students to get stronger," Izuku leaned down to tag a student. "I'm sorry, but I have to earn my license too."
Not too far off from a construction sight in Kamino Ward, a web of gangsters was seen hanging from a tree like if they were caught in one giant net. "I'm actually amazed at how brave everyone's suddenly been just because All Might decided to retire, hopefully this slows down once these guys realize that there's still heroes out there who will stop them, and maybe people won't have to worry so much."
"Peter!" Gohan flew in, seeing the villains webbed up. "Oh, you're already finished. Sorry there was a car accident nearby, no casualties but the driver really messed his arm up and he nearly hit some teenagers. Logan's waiting with them for the cops and ambulance to come."
"That's fine, that's why we're a team, we keep the city on track in the midst of All Might's retirement," Peter said. "Plus with a bunch of heroes injured, we have to work even harder until they recover."
"Yeah totally," Gohan said, taking a look around. "Wow...back here again."
"It's gonna be in our minds for a while, but what matters is that that All Might won, and the villains were defeated," Peter said. "No sign of Shigaraki unfortunately."
"To think Logan lost his trail, probably because of all the teleporting," Gohan said.
"He's got his scent, he can pick it back up," Peter said. "Logan's no stranger to teleporting tricks."
"Yeah, you're right, he'll pick it up again," Gohan said, flying to the tree and grabbing the webs by the tip. "I'll just fly these guys down to the police station."
"Careful with the webbing," Peter warned, tossing some anti webbing repellent. "This should free them faster."
"Thanks," Gohan said, catching it and putting it away. "I'm off."
Gohan flew away with Peter taking another look around. He took note of the construction site itself, "Man...I remember spending a lot of time in places like these, Fisk really had a sneaky operation running with those, among many other crime lords."
"Well you can be assured that nothing of the sort is happening here," came a man's voice. Peter turned to see a friendly dark blonde hair man in a construction had. "Hello Spider-Man, it's great to finally meet you in person."
"Oh hello sir, is this your construction site?" Peter asked.
"Yes, I've been a construction worker my whole career, things have been much busier for me lately given what's happened here, thank goodness, usually I don't get this much work, better enjoy it while it lasts," the man said. "I must say, you are probably one of the bravest heroes out there to go against villains like that."
"I'm just doing what I can to help," Peter said. "Plus it was a team effort, all the heroes there deserve just as much praise, if not more."
"You're right, they do, and I'm grateful to each of them," the man said. "Still, you're quite a modest man. It's easy to see why my daughter looks up to you, I'm actually kind of jealous, she talks about you with such admiration, even more than I get. But I'm actually really happy you're the hero she chose to emulate."
"Your daughter sounds like a nice girl," Peter said. "Does she want an autograph? I'd be more than happy to give her one in person."
"You've done more for her than that, you took her in for a week during UA's Pro Mentorship program," the man said.
"Huh? Wait..." Peter started connecting some pieces and the answer became clear to him. "Are you Ochako Uraraka's father?"
"Why yes, Ochako is my daughter," Mr. Urakaka said. "Sorry I never had a chance to meet you before, the wife and I are unfortunately very busy."
"Yeah, it makes sense, Ochako said she had a dad that's a construction worker, and that dad is you," Peter said. "Wow, it's such an honor to meet you sir, you raised a great daughter. She's so nice and very lovable, she has that empathy that's really going to make her a beloved hero one day."
"Wow, such praise," Mr. Uraraka said. "I mean, as her father, of course I believe all those things about her, but hearing it from you probably does more for her."
"Hey man, a good father supports his daughter, and it sounds like you do just that," Peter said. "You have way more of an impact on your daughter than I do, don't underestimate your importance in her life. You're the reason she wants to be a hero, she wants to be able to support you. I totally understand that, when I started out, one of my main goals was to support my aunt, make sure she's living comfortably in New York City."
"Well that's kind of you Spider-Man, but truthfully, I would rather my daughter worry about her own future than mine," Mr. Uraraka said. "I mean, it's my job to take care of my daughter, not the other way around, I don't want her to be burdened by that."
"The way it sounds, it is far from a burden," Peter said. "It's just proof that you raised your daughter with love, and she wants to do for you what you're done for her. My daughter's the same, somewhat. She gets worried about me a lot, the day I returned from from Kamino, even Superman couldn't pry her away from me once she locked me in that hug."
"Your daughter's going pro too...do you ever worry about her?" Mr. Uraraka asked. "I mean, I do want to support Ochako, and I never tell her this because I don't want to discourage her from following her dreams but..."
"You're afraid she could get hurt," Peter said, Mr. Uraraka nodding his head. "I get it, it's hard on a parent. I'm not too thrilled about Mayday wanting to be a hero, I respect it, but I get scared too. I mean, that summer camp with the villains attack, when I heard my daughter was in danger, you couldn't imagine the fear I had."
"I felt the same way," Mr. Uraraka said. "I will be honest, I thought UA would have taken better care of my daughter, I mean they promised to do better at least."
"They will, I'm making sure of that," Peter said. "I am not letting anything happen to my daughter, or yours."
"I know you won't, you're Spider-Man after all, you can do just about anything," Mr. Uraraka said.
"I'm flattered, but even I'm not perfect, there have been times where I couldn't save someone, and those stick with me because my mistake caused someone to lose their loved one," Peter said. "It's those mistakes that drive me. That's why I want to protect those kids, your daughter included, I know the pain of loss myself. I still regret not being able to save my uncle, but I promise I will try harder to save your daughter if she needs it. Thankfully your daughter is a strong young woman, and she can protect herself just as well, but it won't stop me from trying."
"That's very reassuring, and I can tell you speak with a lot of conviction," Mr. Uraraka said. "I am so lucky that my daughter has a hero like you looking after her. I think over time, you've really become her favorite hero, I mean she's always thought you were cool from what she's heard about you overseas, but seeing you in person, and you agreeing to train her, nowadays she's practically gushing over you. Like I said, I'm a little jealous but at least she's gushing over a kind hero like yourself. She once told me if she could have a big brother, she'd want one like you."
"Gee, might be embarrassing if she started calling me, 'Onii-chan', that will make my cousin jealous," Peter joked. "I don't mind, I've had at least one other friend call me that, mostly as a joke, but truthfully, I do really like your daughter, she's really cool. If she graduates, I'd be more than happy to sign her with my agency, though that could mean she would relocate to New York."
"I see, well if that's her choice, I will support it," Mr. Urakaka said. "I just want her to be happy."
"I promise to take good care of her if she does, I'll treat her like she's my own daughter, but given that my wife knows magic, and I'm friends with a Sorceror, it shouldn't be too hard to bring her back to Japan once in a while, sure would save money on airline tickets," Peter joked.
"How is your wife?" Mr. Uraraka asked.
"She's healing, thankfully," Peter said. "How's yours?"
"Doing well, she should be nearby, she works with me too," Mr. Uraraka said.
"It's amazing working with your wife, huh?" Peter said. "Truth be told, one good thing about my daughter being a hero is that we can all do work together. Maybe my son will follow suit too."
"Oh yes, your son," Mr. Uraraka said. "It's funny, Ochako has such nice things to say about him, it made her want a younger sibling."
"Oh really?" Peter asked.
"I mean, I'd love to give her one, but with money so tight...plus me and the wife aren't exactly spring chickens," Mr. Uraraka said.
"Hey if she wants to 'adopt' my son as her little brother, she can do that instead," Peter said. "Something tells me she'd make a great older sister. Anyway I'd love to meet your wife, maybe one day you can meet mine, and my daughter."
"We should do something like that, maybe if we're not busy," Mr. Uraraka said.
"And hey, if you or your family need any financial help, I can probably assist you in some way," Peter said. "I can cover some charges for you, if to make sure that things go well for Ochako so she can focus on her training, and education."
"I appreciate you wanting to help, but it goes against our culture to accept pity money," Mr. Uraraka said. "Plus, it'd be unfair for us to have that advantage when there's so many people in a bad position like us, or worse. We'll get by."
"I'll respect your culture, and your rules, but if there's any other way I can help, don't hesitate to ask," Peter said. "Ochako has my number, I want to do my part to help, even if that work week is over, I still consider her an apprentice of sorts, and I want to look after her."
"Thank you, with a kind heart like yours, it's no wonder you're a pro hero," Mr. Uraraka said.
"I'm just following the values my aunt and uncle taught me, in my eyes, they're the real heroes," Peter said. "My Uncle was a strong man who looked out for others, my aunt is a strong woman who loves helping those in need. Like I said before, parents can have a big impact on a child, so I should be thanking you for raising a wonderful daughter."
"How about that, I guess I'm a hero too," Mr. Uraraka joked, getting a laugh out of the two. "Well still, my wife's nearby, if you want to see her, I'll be glad to introduce you."
Before Peter could accept, he heard some explosions nearby, "Ugh, it never ends. Sorry sir, I have to go."
"No don't be sorry, you save the world, we can always meet another time," Mr. Uraraka said.
"Catch you later!" Peter said, swinging off.
"Spider-Man..." Mr. Uraraka stated. "You mean so much to my daughter, please stay safe out there, you're our last ray of hope."
Near the Parker Family condo, Twilight was seen stepping out of the building, checking her jawline before making her way into the city. "Sitting around is boring, Peter won't mind if I go out and get some new books from the library, maybe stop a crime or two on the way if I see one. Time to stretch my legs…well metaphorically."
She began to fly off, looking for the nearest library, or better, a bookstore.
Back with Bakugo's group, they had just defeated the group of students that Seiji captured, including Seiji himself, eliminating from the Provisional License exam, along with all those who, despite their best effots to fend for themselves, did not perform well and were promptly defeated.
"Sweet, we got the points we needed!" Kaminari said. "High five!"
"Shut up," Bakugo said. "Let's just get to wherever we need to go."
"You really have a bad attitude kid," Trunks said.
"Who asked you anyway?" Bakugo said. "Be lucky we didn't tag you as well."
"Hey chill Bakugo," Kirishima said. "You're just going to prove Trunks's point."
"Yeah, let's just try to be friends here," Kaminari said.
"This has nothing to do with Friendship, don't assume we're buddies because I didn't eliminate you," Trunks said. "I could have brought you down at any point, remember that when you get those Provisional License, if you even make it that far."
"Wow, harsh," Kaminari said.
"Just so you know, this goes both ways, don't act like we owe you anything," Bakugo said.
"Hey I can take you out right now if I wanted to," Trunks warned.
"Oh come off it Trunks," Flurry said. "Don't talk a big game when you yourself got captured. I would have thought you'd grow out of your arrogance by this point, but you're still the same spoiled brat I've known for years."
"You're seriously going to talk down to me? When I first met you years ago, you couldn't step out of your cousin's shadow, you two were practically glued at the hip," Trunks said. "I remember when I used to intimidate you, all you'd do was run to Mayday, expecting her to protect you, but newsflash, I'm stronger than your cousin, she knew it and deep down you know too."
"That was a long time ago, I'm not that same little girl," Flurry said.
"That so?" Trunks asked, standing over her, trying to intimidate her once again, the girl not backing down, though that didn't stop Kirishima from preparing himself to protect Flurry. "At least you have something of a brave face, but it just looks like one big act. You're never going to make it as a hero, you don't have that warrior's edge to you, for your safety, you should just quit and go back to The Crystal Empire."
"Hey man," Kirishima said, getting his attention. "I don't know what your beef with Flurry is, but you couldn't be more off about her. They don't let just anyone into UA, the fact that she's part of the Hero Course should be more than enough for you to know she's the real deal."
"Oh yeah, UA's so great, despite the fact that villains invaded your training grounds once, then went to your little summer camp and kidnapped Explosion Boy here," Trunks taunted. "You kids are in way over your head, but you'll find out soon enough why your school isn't worth it's hype. There's things out there that no amount of training your school gives you can prepare you for."
"You know, I'm starting to see why your dad never talked much about you," Kirishima said.
"Don't act like you know my dad just because you spent a week training with him," Trunks said. "I've seen how worn out you get after each day, hell you get worn out just training with Seto. Meanwhile I've trained with my dad my whole life, training you couldn't even put up with in your dreams."
"Hey I'd be more than happy to train with your dad again, he pushed me to my limits and I'm grateful for that," Kirishima said. "I'll show you I'm man enough to train like a Saiyan!"
"You have no idea what that type of training is like," Trunks said. "It's beyond anything you're capable of."
"Man, bad enough that Shiketsu guy talked down on us, now this Capsule Corp heir is too?" Kaminari asked.
"That's Trunks for you, always likes talking a big game," Flurry said. "Honestly, with how much you crave attention from your friends and family, I'm surprised you never got a sword. But even you know that the one person you can never measure up to, is yourself!"
Trunks glared down at Flurry once again, the princess not backing down, "Don't think because you passed this test, doesn't mean I can't just take you out of the competition right now. Might be hard to continue if you're hurt."
"Back off!" Kirishima warned, he and Kaminari standing in front of Flurry. Even Bakugo looked ready to blast this guy, while Mineta found him a bit intimidating.
"Have it your way," Trunks said, flying away from the group.
"What a scumbag," Kaminari said. "Flurry, you had to put up with that guy?"
"Yeah, he used to pick on me when I was little, and while I hate to admit it, I never really stood up for myself, Mayday had to come to my rescue," Flurry said. "Looks like old habits die hard for him, but this time I'm standing my ground."
"Good on you, don't let that guy push you around, you're tougher than he thinks you are," Kirishima said. "Just remember, just because you want to stand up for yourself, doesn't mean you'll be alone. We got your back, Flurry."
"I appreciate that Eijiro," Flurry said. "Together, we can prove that Friendship is Magic."
"That saying makes me wanna barf," Bakugo said.
"You for real dude?" Kirishima said. "She's just trying to be nice, I mean that guy was ragging on you too, we're in this together."
"It's fine, I'll just translate it in a way he can understand," Flurry said. "Sticking together as a team will help us achieve greater strides."
"Still dumb," Bakugo said, stomping off. "Let's go, we're wasting time."
"Bakugo's always such a party pooper," Mineta said.
"I won't sugarcoat it, I really hate Katsuki's attitude and I wish he'd grow out of his arrogance too. Despite that, I'll gladly take him over Trunks," Flurry said. "When it comes down to it, Katsuki is willing to stand his ground like a man, just like my daddy would. Meanwhile Trunks can't do much without Goten around."
"Do they value teamwork above all or something?" Kirishima asked.
"Something like that," Flurry said. "We might see their favorite trick later, for now let's hurry to where we need to go."
Elsewhere as Tenya was running through the battle area, he spotted one of his classmates hiding, "Aoyama!?"
"Huh?" Yuga turned to see Tenya making his way over. "Oh, boujour my classmate. Would you happen to be alone by chance?"
"Not entirely, many of our classmates have gathered nearby," Tenya said. "Right now I'm just looking for stragglers."
"You mean you left the group just to come help the others?" Yuga asked.
"Indeed I have," Tenya confirmed.
To his surprise, Yuga began laughing, treating this like a joke, "Oh come now mon ami, how do you expect to find people out here? Suppose everyone you left behind passes without you?"
"Well, firstly, I found you, didn't I?" Tenya said. "Second, it'd be great if everyone passed. As class rep, it is my duty to lead others, and to serve my peers to the best of my abilities. It's what my brother would do, and I will use my actions to help everyone achieve their dreams."
"Your ultimate dream?" Yuga had no immediate words for Tenya's kindness.
"Of course I do hope to pass the test myself, and I will continue to search for our classmates while I try to pass," Tenya said. "Please, work with me."
In the distance, Bakugo and his team had gotten to the Ante Room where Kaminari was the first to point out that Izuku's team had arrived just fine as well. "Check it out, some of our classmates!"
"You're right! I can see Mayday!" Flurry said.
"Yo!" Kaminari shouted. "Class A Represent!"
"Oh you know it! Our class is amazing!" Ochako cheered.
"Go Class 1-A!" Flurry cheered.
Within seconds, Ochako, Sero, Kirishima, Kaminari, Mineta and Flurry were all dancing and chanting ,"CLASS 1-A!"
"That's actually embarrassing..." Mayday said.
"They're just happy," Izuku said, then took note of Bakugo. "Kacchan..."
"How'd you manage to pass, Deku?" Bakugo said. "Help from Web-Girl?"
"Actually, Izuku went full leader mode, just like my dad said he could," Mayday said. "He handled himself really well."
"Honestly, I'm not surprised, especially with that impressive quirk of his," Bakugo said, taking both Izuku and Mayday by surprise.
"Hold on! Did he just...compliment you!?" Mayday asked.
"Uh, I don't know, this has never happened before, I wasn't prepared for this!" Izuku said.
"Looks like you're making that 'new power' of yours truly your own, Deku," Bakugo said, making his way inside.
Mayday leaned in to whisper to Izuku, "You told him about One for All right?"
"Yeah...I'm not sure if he believed me though," Izuku said. "You think he was alluding to that when he said what he said?"
"I don't know, I can't read that guy sometimes," Mayday said. "If he does know, well, at least he can keep a secret. Though, he doesn't know I know, and he said it all suspicious like, so maybe not?"
"Well he was pretty vague," Izuku said.
"Yo Midoriya!" Kaminari said. "Sorry your plan didn't go well earlier, but hey, we still managed to get some teamwork in, just like you suggested."
"It's nothing really, I just said what I thought we all needed, I'm sure anyone else could have suggested that," Izuku said.
"Just take the compliment," Flurry said. "Honestly teamwork wasn't easy since we had Katsuki to deal with, but he actually was more of a team player than even I gave him credit for."
"Well, that's good," Mayday said. "Seems like things are going well, hopefully the rest of our class has passed by now. All twenty-two of us should be heading to the next round."
"Let's talk inside, we can share some epic adventures and encounters," Kaminari said.
"Sounds fun," Mayday said. "Wonder if Trunks passed too? Given his abilities, it's possible he may have just did what Goten did."
Inside the room, Momo had greeted her classmates, "Oh thank goodness, you passed too."
"Sure did, how's it going Yao-Momo?" Kaminari said. "Been here long?"
"We just finished ourselves, Todoroki beat us," Shouji said.
"I figured Bakugo would have been here sooner, guess it's because you were with him," Jiro said.
"Seriously!? How come only Flurry Heart was nice to me today!?" Kaminari said.
"Well she's nice to everyone, that shouldn't be a surprise," Shouji said.
"Yeah, she's too nice to be honest," Jiro said.
"She's plenty honest!" Kaminari whined. "Plus you catch more flies with honey than vinegar! Something Flurry's very accustomed too!"
"Shoto!" Flurry said, getting his attention. "I'm so glad you made it!"
"Hey Flurry, not too surprised you passed," Shoto said.
"Yeah, it wasn't easy, I had to keep Katsuki, Minoru, Eijiro and Denki out of trouble," Flurry said.
"Don't act like you were useful to me in anyway, girly!" Bakugo shouted, earning a pitiful glare from Flurry.
"Still, it almost sounded like you had confidence in me," Flurry said.
"Why wouldn't I? You've proven to be very capable," Shoto said. "If the fight with Stain wasn't enough, you definitely proved your worth at the Practical Exams."
"Helps have good teammates both times," Flurry said, the girl blushing slightly. "Still, I got worried when you went off on your own."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to cause concern," Shoto said. "I felt better using my powers away from a group."
"Well, it sounds to me like you need to focus on control," Flurry said. "Is it your fire that worries you, or your ice? Because Bobby and Johnny are good at controlling their powers so they don't hurt their teammates or civilians."
"I'm still practicing with my fire, but control is something I need to improve on in regard to both abilities," Shoto said.
"You'll get there, you have the resources, in and out of school," Flurry said. "I'm always free to help too if you need it."
"I'll keep that in mind," Shoto said.
"Glad to hear," Flurry said, the girl blushing harder. "If this works out well, I can have a little alone time with Shoto, who knows what wonderful things may happen?"
"Your face is turning red," Shoto said, startling Flurry. "Are you hot?"
"Uh...no, just a bit exhausted," Flurry nervously said.
"Well there's food and water nearby if you need some," Shoto said. "Water too, just in case you are feeling heated."
"Sounds great, see you in a bit..." Flurry said, then immediately walked off. "That was too close of a call."
"Hey Ochako," Tsuyu said. "The key to take off your targets is in the back, they asked that we do that as soon as we pass."
"Thanks for the tip, Tsu," Ochako said.
Mayday took a look around the room, sure enough she spotted Trunks with Goten, "Looks like both Half-Saiyans are here."
"That Trunks guy was kind of a jerk," Mineta said. "Even more so that Bakugo usually is."
"I heard that!" Bakugo warned, freaking Mineta out.
"Wait, so you ran into him?" Izuku said. "Funny, me, Mayday, Uraraka and Sero ran into Goten."
"Did you end up having to fight him?" Mayday asked.
"No, he actually teamed up with us against a more troubling enemy," Kirishima said.
"For the most part, I mean he did get captured by him, so it became more of a temporary alliance," Kaminari said.
"Huh, so proud Son of a Saiyan Prince got himself caught, did he?" Mayday said.
"Yeah, happened during a run-in with a Shiketsu student," Kirishima said. "It sounds like you and Flurry have history with them."
"You can say that," Mayday said. "One of my earliest memories of the two was during a World Martial Arts Tournament. There was a massive monster attack and those two went to fight it, despite them being seven and eight at the time."
"Seven and eight?" Kaminari said. "Man, how early do these Half-Saiyans fight?"
"Well Vegeta told me he's been fighting for as long as he can remember, seems it really was that long," Kirishima said. "Guess those with Saiyan genes just start fighting young."
"Saiyans are trained to fight from a very early age. Goku and Vegeta did so, and that's something passed down to Gohan, Goten and Trunks," Mayday said.
"From what Gohan told me, his five-year-old daughter is getting training too, from her grandpa Goku," Flurry said. "Apparently she's already pretty strong, she could probably handle a lot of students here by herself."
"Aw man, I don't want to get beaten up by a five-year-old," Kaminari said. "I hope she never shows up."
"She's not the only strong five-year-old, my little brother's pretty tough himself, he can probably take you in a fight," Mayday teased. "Plus you know Robin? Batman's old sidekick? Yeah his daughter Mar'i probably has incredible potential too from what I've heard."
"Well she's half Tamaranean, so that helps," Flurry said.
"Tama-what?" Kirishima asked.
"One alien explanation at a time," Mayday said. "Point is, Saiyans are practically bred for battle, hence why Goten and Trunks have way more experience than us."
"Of course, being a Saiyan doesn't always mean you enjoy fighting," Flurry said. "It's just more common and expected."
"Sounds like a rough life," Kaminari said. "Weren't they also viscous warriors at one point too?"
"That was when that evil alien Frieza had them under his control, but they're free from that," Mayday said. "Of course, most of them are dead anyway, to my knowledge there's only a handful of pure blooded Saiyans in this Universe, and most of them live on Earth, though one of them visits sometimes from some far away Planet called Vampa. My dad's met him a few times, says he's kind and gentle, but scart powerful."
"That's a Saiyan I'm interested in meeting," Kaminari said.
"By the way, that evil alien who had the Saiyans under control, where is he exactly?" Kaminari asked.
"I don't know, you'd need to ask Goku or Vegeta," Mayday said. "Hopefully none of us have to fight him, he's very dangerous."
"Kirishima, you trained with Vegeta, did he mention anything?" Mineta asked.
"He didn't talk much about the planet he was born on, the only thing he told me was that it got destroyed," Kirishima said. "Weird though, he didn't sound too sad about it, I mean even if it happened a long time ago, he just made it seem so casual when he mentioned it."
"According to what Gohan told me, Saiyans normally aren't good with emotions," Flurry said. "Anything Vegeta feels is well hidden inside him."
"He's a really private dude, I never really pried, nor did I ask his wife, son, Seto Kaiba or that other girl about it, Kirishima said.
"What other girl?" Izuku asked.
"Some girl named Medaka, she's friends with Vegeta I think, calls him 'Senpai'," Kirishima said.
"I know her, and so does my dad, I think they went to UA together," Mayday said. "My dad's fought Frieza, so he might know a thing or two about him as well."
"Bad enough we had strong villains on our own planet to worry about, but aliens?" Kaminari said.
"The Avengers and Justice League specialize in fighting aliens in addition to Earthling villains Denki," Mayday said. "Be it The Skrulls, The Kree, The Chitauri, The Frieza Force, even Darkseid's Army. Not to mention one of the strongest enemies out in the cosmos, The Black Order, led by the Mad Titan Thanos."
"Thanos?" Kirishima asked.
"According to my dad, he's one of the most dangerous aliens out there, his armies could easily come to Earth and try conquering it," Mayday said.
"Come on Parker, you're freaking me out!" Kaminari said.
"I'm just giving you fair warning," Mayday said. "Remember, my dad's suit was powered by an alien once, they can come from just about anywhere, just hope that they're friend and not foe."
"Speaking of friends, where's the rest of our class?" Flurry asked. "Did no one else make it here?"
"No, not yet," Shoto said, getting her attention. "So far, only fourteen of us have passed."
"Which leaves us at eight left," Izuku said.
"There are less than twenty spots left too," Momo said. "I hope they make it."
"They will, they have to," Flurry said. "Class A's gone through a lot, they can handle this trial, can't they?"
"I hope so..." Izuku said.
Back at the battle area, Tenya had just saved Yuga from being tagged by another student, "I'm here for you!"
"This is turning into an all-out war," Yuga said. "It would be best if you just left me here."
"Don't say that, Class 1-A never surrenders!" Tenya said.
"That's not my intention," Yuga said, just as an explosion went off nearby.
"Let's keep moving!" Tenya said, getting his classmate to safety.
"Eight more just passed, very few spots remain," Mara said, to the excitement of Miss Joke.
"Those eight were from my class!"
Bobby looked toward the Ante Room, "Oh yeah, I see them. Good on you Joke."
"That's just ten left," Aizawa said.
"Oh yeah...hope that's enough for your class," Bobby said.
As Tenya led Yuga through the barrage of students, the latter started contemplating what his move should be. Seeing Tenya fighting so hard to help him, somehow Yuga started remembering his own childhood, and how different he was from other kids.
Without explanation, Yuga stopped and fired his Naval Laser into the air, getting the attention of everyone around.
"Are you out of your mind!?" Tenya asked. "What are you even doing!?"
"I'm standing out," Yuga explained.
"Yes, that's exactly the problem!" Tenya said.
"If you try to protect me, you will fail the test, I already got tagged twice, it's pointless to help!" Yuga said. "I have the spotlight, use it to your advantage and tag those who come after me! With your speed, you should be able to hit their targets!"
"Why are you doing this?" Tenya asked.
"Because you've inspired me with your words," Yuga said. "I want to be an equal to the amazing people at our school! Now, be ready!"
"But..." Tenya was conflicted. This was a good opportunity for him, but he couldn't abandon a teammate, no matter how bad the odds were.
It wasn't long before a flock of birds began flying in, blinding all off the opposing students. From nearby, Koda was seen instructing the winged creatures, "Thank you birds! Please continue to swarm this area!"
"Black Abyss!" Tokoyami said, readying this powers. "Covert Black Ops Arms!"
Tokoyami had swarmed everyone in the darkness while Oujiro rushed in to attack with his tail, "Quick! Get the targets!"
"Too dark! Can't see!" a student shouted.
"Allow me to help then!" Toru shouted, using her powers to generate a blinding light, "Say Cheese!"
"Now it's too bright!"
"You all came!" Tenya said.
"But...how?" Yuga asked.
"Because of your light!" Mina said, blasting some students with acid. "Thanks to your belly button laser, we were able to meet up with our classmates again! Now let's do this!"
The students continued tagging one by one, each one getting in and moving to the next round.
"Looks like UA has come together at the last minute, and are working together for a massive combo to take some slots, right now only three remain," Mara said. "Oh, make that two, someome from Shiketsu High just passed. The pressure's on."
"There were that many of you left?" Aizawa wondered in surprise.
Bobby smirked to himself, "Talk about drama."
"Aoyama, I don't know who you want to be, or who you're measuring yourself against," Tenya said as he and Yuga went to tag two last remaining students. "But this was your doing, thank you."
"Looks like I don't have to stop twinkling just yet," Yuga said.
"No, keep twinkling," Tenya said. "Whatever that means."
"Yes!" Mara cheered. "That last students passed! The end is finally here! Wahoo!"
"Damn that guy's excited," Bobby said. "Still, coming in at the last second in a clutch? Sounds like a textbook hero move."
"Indeed, I'm just glad all the little darlings passed, as well as Goten and Trunks," Rarity said.
"YEAH!" Kirishima cheered from the Ante Room. "We did it!"
"That's Class 1-A for ya!" Kaminari said.
"I'm so glad our entire class passed!" Ochako said.
"About time, they really had me worried," Mayday said.
"I'm so relieved," Izuku said. "At least we can all go on."
"Unfortunately those of you who failed will have to withdraw from the licensing exam," Mara said. "Please leave the test area immediately."
"They just had to keep me on the edge of my seat," Aizawa said. "I'm doubling, no, tripling their training."
"Aw come on, you're happy, aren't you?" Joke asked.
"I'm furious," Aizawa said.
"Then what's that sparkle in your eye?" Joke asked.
"Annoyance," Aizawa said, to Joke's amusement.
"Dude, you have all the rays of Sunshine that Wolverine has," Bobby said. "At least we're not done with UA just yet."
Meanwhile.
"What do you mean Shishikura didn't pass the test?" Inasa asked in surprise.
"Because he went ahead and fought alone, like you two," Shiketsu Student Nagamasa Mora said. "Yoarashi has the excuse of being a first year, but not you Camie."
"Yeah, yeah," Camie said.
"Alright, for the hundred of you that passed the first test, turn your attention to the screen," Mara said.
"It's the test arena," Izuku said, looking at the monitor.
"What's about to happen?" Ochako wondered.
Suddenly the place was demolished in a series of explosions, surprising all the students.
"Ok, but why though?" Mayday said.
"The next part of the exam is rescuing bystanders from these disaster sights," Mara said.
"A rescue mission?" Izuku asked.
"Looks like it," Mayday said. "But something tells me there's more to it than that."
