Angel: The Last Kids on Earth isn't getting an update today because I need more time on it. I've been busy with something else that I'll talk about when the time comes. If you're wondering, let's just say that I decided to wait until the special was officially released on TV and not by a leak, hint hint. And no, I will not release it earlier because that'd be missing the point.
Jenny and Amy walk into school together, hearing a bunch of girls talk. They walk over curiously, looking from behind the group. "Hey, what's going on?" Jenny wonders, but no one answers and they just keep talking.
"Jen, you're a robot," Amy reminds her with a small smile and Jenny smiles sheepishly. She uses her neck to extend past the group. Past all the girls are new boys she hasn't seen before. One is a blond, and the other one is a brunet.
"I heard they just moved here from Hollywood."
"They're so cute!"
"And totally cool."
"So that's why we moved here from Cali. And what's your name, cutie?" The blond turns to Jenny herself, who smiles bashfully.
"I'm Jenny. Oh, and this is my friend Amy," She grabs the girl's shirt and pulls her up above the crowd. Amy's eyes widen as she stares at the brunet, waving awkwardly as everyone is looking at her.
"Hi..."
"MACHINE!" The blond shouts, the brunet sighing heavily. "Get back! Get back!" And with that, he flees the hallway, everyone looking less interested in the blond now.
"He's afraid of Jenny?"
"That is so yesterday."
"What a geek."
"Loser."
Once everyone leaves, Jenny walks her body back to her head as she puts down Amy. "Look, I'm sorry about my brother," The brunet says wearily to the girls. "It's just that...well, him and machines don't really mix. Please don't take it personally."
"Heh...well, you weren't here when I was the talk of the school," Amy looks away nervously as she hugs her books.
"You? Why?"
"Oh...not the time for that," She waves it off; obviously if she tells him, she wouldn't get positive reactions...either that, or they might just either misunderstand or just treat her differently.
"Oh, that's okay," Jenny smiles at him. "I'm sure he'll warm up to me." She bends down to the locker, looking inside. "Hello?"
"I'm sorry. Like my brother said, it's just that I'm afraid of mechanical things. I feel bad about embarrassing you girls, though," He says regretfully from inside the locker.
"Really, it's okay," The robot assures him, gesturing to her friend. "My life is a whirlwind of constant embarrassment. Just ask her, she's been through all of it."
"Really?" The brunet questions in interest, Amy blushing a bit to her surprise.
"Well...I wouldn't say all of it, but we've been through our fair share of not great moments here."
"Wow," The boy inside the locker chuckles after hearing them. "Ours too."
"More so his than mine," The brunet whispers to Amy, who lets out a chuckle.
"I heard that," The blond grumbles from inside the locker.
"It's okay. I won't bite," Jenny offers her hand and the boy opens the locker, holding out his hand but then taking it back. He holds out his hand again, but this time wearing an oven mitt so that he won't directly touch her.
"I'm Travis, and that's my brother Cody. We're twins," He introduces himself, Cody giving a small salute to Jenny.
"I'm Jenny," The robot says while helping him out.
"And I'm her best friend Amy," The girl waves to them.
The two step out into the outside eating area, where several girls look at him and laugh. A boy holds out a blender, causing Travis to scream. Cody rolls his eyes at the laughing boy as Travis jumps up into the tree. "Hey, look at me," He puts on the blender while looking at the girls, who aren't amused. "I'm Jenny and Ms. Mecha." He makes beeping noises before Cody takes off the blender and tosses it behind him. "Aww..."
Travis slides down the tree, Amy noticing Cody and clearing her throat, looking away with a blush. "Don't look away from my direction," She whispers to her friend, who turns around anyway and waves to them.
"Hi!" Travis recoils back in fear, Cody facepalming at his brother. Amy whines at Jenny not listening and hides her face into the table.
"Oh, hi."
"Don't worry, I'll be right there, let's sit with them," Cody assures as he guides Travis over to the table. Jenny slides over to the right as Amy looks up. She gives a nervous laugh as Cody takes a seat right next to her.
"Don't let them get to you. And that was really nice what you did for him," She turns to Cody, who waves it off.
"Oh, we're both used to it. You get picked on a lot when you freak out at machines," Travis looks away with a knowing look.
"And you become a protective younger brother when that happens," Cody adds in, splitting his lunch with his brother. Amy blinks as she and Jenny glance at each other.
"You're the younger one?" They ask in unison; they almost thought he was the older one.
"By 3 minutes," Travis rolls his eyes at the questioning.
"By the way, why'd that guy call you Ms. Mecha?" Cody wonders as Amy sips her drink.
"Oh, that? By day I'm a student, and by...whenever I'm needed, this brooch turns me into a mechanical superhero named Ms. Mecha, where Jen and I team up to save the town," She gestures to her brooch. Travis gulps a bit from the explanation.
"Oh...lovely..."
"That's actually pretty cool!" Cody grins at the brunette, who blushes bashfully.
"Then we should get along just fine," Jenny smiles happily, smirking knowingly at the two across from her. "We get picked on a lot too, for me being a machine and her being-" Amy kicks her leg, wincing in pain as she forgot that her friend is a robot. She bites her lip in pain as Jenny stares at her in confusion. "Everything okay, Amy?"
"Yup," She fake coughs to Jenny. "Don't tell them," She says between fake coughs, the two boys staring at her in confusion. Then the two just laugh at the girls.
"You're kind of funny."
"And you're kind of adorable," Cody states as they can feel sort of a connection: Travis and Jenny for being picked on, and Cody and Amy being the ones to combat against it.
In class, the four all sit together, staring at one another in a loving way. All of them get notes posted on their backs, Cody and Amy removing them without taking their eyes off each other.
The four walk in the hallways together, only to be tripped by Brit and Tiff. Travis and Jenny laugh happily while on the floor. Cody and Amy laugh while Cody chases after them and the girls scream, running off as they're still scared of geeks. And the only reason why Cody's deemed as such is because he defends his brother.
Then the four are taped to a tree together, Amy and Cody in the process of setting them free.
"It's strange; I don't mind getting picked on when I'm getting picked on with you," Travis confesses to Jenny while they're walking away from school.
"And I don't mind protecting us with you," Cody smiles to Amy, who gives a weak smile back since there's the elephant in the room. And she could go on without telling him, but she doesn't want to lead him on either.
"I think I might even be getting used to the whole idea that...you're a robot, Jenny," Travis smiles in a loving way to her. He even removes his oven mitt to hold her hand.
"And...you're really cool, Amy," Cody interlocks his hand with hers and the girls blush in unison.
"Wow..." They murmur at the same time, feeling like they were in heaven. Suddenly an alarm goes off nearby from a coin hut.
"Oh, no! Our priceless antique coin collection!" The owner cries out as two robbers are getting away with bags full of money. "Somebody stop them!"
Jenny releases her hand as Amy lets go of Cody. She taps her brooch to transform, Cody recoiling back in shock. The two summon giant magnets, which...does not ease Travis at all. He screams every time they expand their artillery. Meanwhile, Cody is in awe as the two get the coins back by attracting them to the magnets. They look up ahead to see the robbers getting away on a helicopter, and they could see a shadow as the pilot.
"You won't get away that easily!" Jenny summons a laser and hears Travis screaming, turning to see him running away.
"Dude!" Cody shouts, giving them apologetic looks while running after his brother. Before they could react, fog forms around their bodies.
"Fog!" They look towards the helicopter to see it surrounded by the fog and start firing willy-nilly. "Can't...see...robbers. Amy, x-ray vision!"
"On it," She scans the area with her helmet, but the screen doesn't see anything. "Agh, nothing!" The fog clears away as they're gone without a trace, but the building behind them is a mess thanks to the previous lasers.
Cody sighs as he's comforting his shaking whimpering brother. "Go to your happy place, Travis. Go to your happy place." Jenny and Amy walk up to them, Travis looking up. "I'm sorry; we really like you girls, but your super destructive gizmos give me the willies, big time," He could see all the nuts and bolts that make up both Jenny herself and Amy's suit. Amy looks down at herself and smiles sheepishly, turning back to her normal self.
"What is the big deal with machines?" Jenny couldn't help but wonder.
"Aw, no," Cody looks down at the sidewalk at the reminder.
"Well, when I was young, our father worked on an assembly line. One day, the machines went wild." And when he had tried to fix everything, he had ended up on the conveyor belt...and went inside a machine. Amy gasps as she covers her mouth in horror. "He was horribly mauled. It was tragic."
"Yeah...Travis was never the same after that," Cody rubs the back of his neck. "Seeing your dad in the hospital can do a lot to you as a kid."
Suddenly a man beeps the horn of a bike, who is also holding a scooter. "Is that your dad?" Jenny asks as he doesn't look mauled at all.
"Yeah, he got better," Travis stands up with a smile, to the brunette's disbelief that the man wasn't disfigured or anything like that. He just looks like a relatively normal person as far as she can tell. "We've gotta go."
"Bye," Cody waves to them as he gets on the scooter and they leave.
"Wha...but..." Amy sighs heavily as they watch them go. "Maybe it's a sign, Jen."
"I don't know about that. I saw you and Cody getting along pretty well; he seems to really like you."
"Yeah, I know, I...think I like him too. But I'm gonna have to tell him about...you know, this whole thing," She gestures to herself.
"What, that you used to be a boy? Oh..." Jenny rubs the back of her neck. "Is he your first crush ever since then?"
"No, but I usually kept them to myself because I knew what would happen with people who didn't know. But everybody knew, therefore my own crushes picked on me. This would be the first time I've ever told a crush that I used to be a boy," Amy rubs her arm nervously as she remembers being teased by guys she liked. Imagine if she had told them she liked them; she'd never hear the end of it.
"The first time cute, sweet, sensitive, cute guys like us, and one of them can't stand being around me, while the other doesn't know who you used to be. I can't stop being a machine, you can't stop the way you were born...but maybe there's a way I can be more human and you can tell the truth without him being disgusted," Jenny looks away with a smile.
"Hm?" Amy tilts her head in confusion, wondering how Jenny can pull that off.
"I can do this," Travis encourages himself, his brother rolling his eyes. "Come on, Travis," He holds his hand out...to a pencil sharpener. "Do it for Jenny." However, someone beats him to it and Travis screams, running off in fear. Cody sighs heavily at him, arms crossed. Travis looks at the pencil and uses his own sharpener.
"Baby steps," Cody pats his back.
"Hey, Travis."
"Hey, Cody," Amy greets as well. Travis flinches and the duo turn around. Jenny's covered up her pigtails with a hat, is wearing a shirt and shorts, and has on sandals. Meanwhile, Amy is dressed more feminine as she's wearing a black skirt, some nice pink heels, a white blouse, and has her hair down. And because she doesn't want to remind Travis of her suit for Jenny's sake, she's hidden away her brooch.
"Jenny, you look...uh, covered up," Travis points out while the robot smiles.
"And what's with the skirt?" Cody wonders as Amy clears her throat in embarrassment. She's only wearing this to seem more girly...
"Oh, you know...thought it'd be a nice change for me," She says nervously to him.
"And as for me, when I'm not in 'robot action mode', I don't need to expose all those crazy devices of mine."
"Wow. So how often do you use them?" Travis asks curiously and Amy stays silent.
"And do you always change outfits?" Cody raises a brow at Amy. "You're not like those stuck-up Crust Cousins, are you?"
"Oh, hardly ever; yesterday was a total anomaly," Jenny waves it off, although it's a lie.
"Oh, what? No," Amy scoffs to Cody. "I'd rather not be affiliated with them."
"You're not just saying that, are you?" Travis stares at the robot, Amy biting her lip as Cody eyes her suspiciously to see if she'd break.
"...No. So we can hang out, right?" Jenny asks the blond hopefully.
"Well, sure, I guess."
Cody rubs his chin as Amy gives a nervous laugh, looking away. "Hey, Cody, I've always been wondering, how would you react if I said Amy used to be...different?" Her eyes widen from Jenny's question, looking at the robot. Jenny waves to assure the girl as she's just trying to get a sense of what the boy would think of her past.
"Different how?"
"Um...as in playing football, or talking about guy stuff," Jenny shrugs a little as Amy facepalms.
"Umm...okay? I can't really see her doing all that stuff. It doesn't seem like it's for her. And I wouldn't be comfortable with it."
Amy whines as she sags her shoulders; if that's his answer, then she's not confident of his reaction of when the truth comes out.
Someone in town is in the shadows, and they wave a finger to make hail appear. "Hey, look, it's snowing!" Someone points to the sky. He then opens up his tongue to taste it, but instead hail just falls on his tongue to make it weight itself to the ground. Everyone runs around screaming to get away from it.
Hail starts crashing into the museum, two bank robbers come in from the ceiling with ropes around them.
The four sit in the cafeteria together. "Uh, I've been thinking: since we're hanging out, well, maybe we could—you know, if you're free some time..." Jenny uses her super hearing to notice the screams while Amy's brooch blinks from inside her purse. Sheldon had recently upgraded it to blink off whenever there's danger nearby. "What I mean is-"
"W-We need to go...powder our noses!" Jenny stands up, grabbing Amy's hand. The both of them run off towards the bathroom, the boys following after them.
"Jenny?"
"Amy?" Cody gently knocks a bit. "This is kind of important," He answers bashfully as Jenny rips off her shirt. Amy takes out her brooch from her purse to put it on. Jenny pushes open the door as she's out of her human get-up.
"Uh-huh?"
"Please make it quick," Amy pleads from inside as she taps her brooch.
"Well, we've been meaning to ask you girls if...well, if, um, if you're not busy—of course..."
Cody sighs at his brother beating around the bush while the girls crash through the wall and outside into the hail. The Do Over Motel sign breaks to just say doom, as it tilts over to threaten and fall on someone. Jenny swoops in and saves him, the girls stopping in the middle of traffic to push the cars to a stop. The two look up and use their lasers to blast away all of the hail. The clouds all move away while the bank robbers run off while cackling.
Suddenly they're lifted off the air by the girls, who also have all the stolen loot. "Wha?!" Both of them are left hanging by their underwear in front of a building. Jenny points up at them warningly.
"You two are going to stay right here and wait for the cops!"
"And don't let us catch you again when we have important teenage stuff!" Amy adds in annoyance before they fly off to return the stolen art.
"People just don't respect fine art anymore," Jenny grumbles to her friend.
"Or just let us have a minute," The brunette gives a blank look while the robot throws all the art into the hole. Amy rubs a temple and looks down the hole. "Sorry!" She then flies after her friend.
Meanwhile, the boys are still outside the bathroom talking. "And we think you're really cool and everything, so-"
The lunch lady opens up the door, leaving. "Sweet-talk me all you want, honey. You're not getting any extra meat loaf!"
"We weren't talking to you! And I'm a vegetarian!" Cody calls out to her.
"Machine or not, girls take too long in the bathroom," Travis comments to his brother, looking at his watch.
"Hi, Travis," Jenny steps out, followed by Amy, but both of them are a bit scuffed up thanks to all the hail.
"Heeey..." Amy smiles a bit to Cody, dusting herself off.
"Oh my gosh. What happened to you?" Travis examines the scuff marks on both of them.
"Were you two fighting in there?" Cody couldn't help but ask.
"What? No!" The brunette waves a hand.
"Uhh...really rough paper towels?" Jenny states while Amy gives her a 'really' look.
"Talk to the school board," The janitor rolls by with his cart.
"I can't take this," One of the robbers says.
"You? I'm hanging by my underwear."
"It's your fault, you imbecile!"
"Gentlemen, gentlemen," An old man speaks up to them. "You're both imbeciles!" Thunder strikes as rain occurs by a rain cloud which was only above his head.
"Sorry, O Weathered One," They tell him regretfully while the man holds an umbrella, even though it doesn't do much.
"It has taken me decades to master the intricate, complex ability to control the weather," He snaps his fingers to make the rain disappear. "And all I ask you to do is one thing: help me use it to rob banks and stuff!" He uses his cloud to zap them with lightning to get them down. "Now, what haven't we tried yet?"
Next up is using lightning clouds on the dam and it rains over it. "Surf's up, boss," His goons pull up a row boat, which he jumps into as the dam explodes. Everyone screams and runs away, the water overflowing a jewelry store as the boat goes in to steal all the jewels.
Jenny can hear the screams as Amy's brooch blinks. Both of them are sitting next to the twins. Jenny then stands up, taking Amy's hand. "We, uh, gotta go to the bathroom."
"You two just went, like, three minutes ago," Travis reminds them both, Amy flinching with wide eyes.
"Yeah, plus you were in there a long time already, you need to go again?" Cody asks them in confusion.
"Oh, yeah."
"That's...just how life works sometimes!" Amy laughs nervously as they sit down. She then leans in towards Jenny to her right. "Could you come up with something better and plausible?"
"Could you come up with something better and plausible?" Jenny mocks her right back. "I don't see you coming up with anything."
Before Amy could retort, the beeping gets more rapid, thankfully on vibrate while Jenny hears the terrified screams. "Help! My puppy!"
"Ah! The pain!" Then Jenny hears two cars crashing into each other. Jenny holds the desk while shaking, glancing at Travis and then pointing up ahead.
"Look out! The teacher has an electronic thesaurus!" She calls out, freaking out Travis to the shock of both Amy and Cody. The blond hides in his desk, Cody going over to him.
"Bro, come on," He facepalms at this. "It's hidden away in the desk, it's not gonna jump out of it."
"Ha ha, he's afraid of dinosaurs too," A boy laughs nearby, Jenny and Amy taking off. Jenny has her leg still near the desk, using the boot to inflate a balloon of herself. Amy lets a balloon of herself float to her desk from outside.
"Pst!" Travis peeks out of the desk to look at the balloons. "Is it safe?"
"...Why are they bobbing around like that?" Cody asks in confusion as apparently neither of them could tell the difference. Although that was admittedly a good thing in the grand scheme of things.
Jenny hops out of the building as Amy flies next to her into the pouring rain. "What?" Amy looks up as she holds out a hand. "But the forecast didn't call for a rainstorm!"
"Well, no time to dawdle on it," The robot states as they take off in unison. The boat with the robbers is heading straight for Tremorton Elementary...which was Piri's school. Jenny flies as fast as she can, Amy flying above her...before Jenny's winch stops her short of moving. "Oh no! I'm out of slack! Amy, plan B!"
"Right!" Amy nods at her and takes off.
A boy turns to his teacher, as he's right next to the window and sees the incoming wave. "Teacher, there's a huge-"
"Uh, uh, uh, en espanol, por favor," She interrupts him, apparently not hearing the wave.
"Uh, el lago es muy grande, y..." He gives up and just starts screaming as Jenny summons two rockets. Amy appears right in front of the school, landing in front of Piri.
"Huh? Big sister?"
Amy holds up a large wall in front of her as the bombs hit the road in front of the school. All the water lands into it, some of it splashing onto Amy's wall to prevent it from hitting the kids. The boat pops out of it and all the kids cheer as they rush out to go play in the water.
"Awesome! Thanks, big sis," Piri hugs her leg as she drops the wall and runs over to join in. Amy sighs in relief, letting her knees sink to the floor.
"Marco!"
"Polo!" A robber calls out, getting elbowed by his boss. Jenny lands right next to the lake as Amy stands up.
"Phew..."
"Well, I'm sure my parents will notify Skyway Patrol to get someone to fix this hole later," Amy walks up to her, watching the kids having fun with a smile.
"Bravo!" The weather man rows up to them while clapping. "You two are quite the worthy adversaries, but your efforts will be all in vain, because-"
Jenny suddenly grabs the collar of his shirt, Amy glaring while pointing a laser gun at him. The look on her face says it all since the wave was about to hit her sister's school. "Listen, Methuselah! We've got a list of priorities," She uses her pigtails to bring up that list, which actually had writing on it. "Cute teenage boys is here, at the top, crazy old guy, way down here. So you're under citizen's arrest, and you're the citizen," She links handcuffs between him...and a little boy. "See ya!" She drags Amy away before she could say anything. The little boy moves away from him.
"You know, things would be a lot easier if you just told Travis the truth," Amy speaks up to her friend.
"I could, but then we wouldn't be able to hang out anymore," Jenny laments sadly to her. "And I really like him."
"I get it, but at least let me tell Cody. It's not fair keeping this a secret from him."
"No! Then he'll tell his brother!" Jenny pleads and Amy sighs while looking away. This is why love is complicated...
"It's just like ripping off a bandaid," Cody encourages, walking over to the Amy balloon. "Amy, wanna go to the movies with me?" He turns around to his brother and waves a hand for him to ask.
"So, uh, if you're not doing anything, you wanna go..." Travis gasps between his question and Cody smacks him upside the head. "To the movies or something?" He says quickly after that. Suddenly whooshes are heard. "Jenny?"
"Yes?" The two question at the same time.
"YAHOO!" The boys cheer while jumping up happily.
"What did we just agree to?" Amy murmurs in confusion while letting go of their balloons, which fly into Sheldon's desk. And noticeably, he's not freaking out at Travis asking out Jenny.
The four are at the movie theater, sitting together in the back. "We're glad you girls could come, Jenny," Travis says happily to her. Jenny smiles to herself as Amy holds popcorn.
This is it: me, a boy, a real date. Love is in the air.
I can't believe I'm actually on a date! Nothing could ruin this day.
Leaves blow outside as a couple look at each other lovingly. Suddenly a tornado sucks out the man's toupee. "Ew," The woman pushes him away, but then the tornado reveals that she's actually an alien. "I was going to tell you." Both of them are then sucked into the tornado, the old man laughing as he sits on top of it.
Travis fake yawns to wrap an arm around Jenny, who smiles happily. Cody slides over silently to hold Amy's hand and she swoons. Suddenly Jenny's super hearing comes in as Amy's brooch vibrates. Both of them look annoyed at this as Amy looks conflicted. She then sighs as she stands up. "I've gotta use the bathroom," She says regrettably as she leaves Cody behind, who then feels awkward to be a third wheel.
Forget it; somebody else can save this town for a change.
The tornado then attacks a bank, ripping off the roof to vacuum all the money into it. The old man laughs manically while Amy flies into the scene. She growls while clenching her fists upon seeing this. "Oh, not this guy again! I blew off my date for this?!"
As the money falls down into the robbers' hands, Amy swoops down to snatch them away. The old man waves a hand to make a tornado come for her and she gets sucked into it, dropping the money.
"Isn't there someone who can save us?" Jenny hears from her pigtails. Cody looks around awkwardly, wondering where Amy went off to. The robot just has a big smile on her face.
I'm not listening.
A crash suddenly knocks the hat off of her head. "What was that?" Travis wonders to her as she frowns at the boy.
"The special effects are awesome!" Jenny smiles widely as she leans forward.
"Umm, that wasn't special effects," Cody states as another boom occurs. People run around in fear as debris falls from the ceiling.
"There's something going on." Then there's another boom and Jenny still ignores it.
"Kids and their crazy rock music." Then the roof caves in on them as Amy is seen spinning into the tornado, looking sick.
"You'll never stop me now, Robot Girls!" The old man declares while flying off on the tornado. Jenny laughs nervously as the boys look up at the now destroyed roof.
"Popcorn?"
"What are you doing just sitting here?" Travis demands to the robot girl.
"That's your friend in trouble over there!" Cody points up to the sky.
"Exactly! Use that robot action mode of yours," Travis insists to Jenny.
"I didn't wanna ruin our date," Jenny looks away with a frown. "And so I had Amy try to handle it on her own."
"I CAN'T HANDLE THIS ON MY OWN!" Amy cries out from outside since it's a tornado she's dealing with.
"But people are in danger, your own partner is in danger!" Travis glares down at her, hands on his hips.
"You're right," She facepalms as she realizes this. "I'll be back as soon as I can." She activates her pigtails and Travis runs off in fear. Her wings appear, ripping off her shirt before she takes off. Everyone looks at the tornado and runs off, except for an old woman who just holds up the umbrella. A lamppost is about to fall on her when Jenny stops it. She takes the lamppost and swings it at incoming trees. A trailer comes her way and she's barely able to hang onto it. The owners of it pop out with smiles.
"Look, honey! We done moved."
The wind continues to blow and Jenny can see Amy on the edge still spinning around. "Amy! Don't worry, I've got you!" Jenny tries to dive in at the right moment, but pulls out a cat instead.
"Help!" A woman on a bike reaches out her hand.
"Gotcha!" She grabs the woman's hand, but the wind is too strong, therefore she falls into it. She spins in the tornado, getting deeper inside. Jenny narrows her eyes as she looks at Amy next to her. She holds out her hand to catch the brunette's hand, still holding onto the cat. She then flies backwards to cycle them out, and as well stop the tornado. She and Amy fly down, looking up to catch the cars, bikes, and house. The old man falls straight down into a concrete sidewalk as they glance to the two goons getting away with the stolen money.
"Oh, no you don't!"
"Time for a little payback," Amy glares before they toss everything in the robbers' direction. The two get fenced in as the cars fall, the mailbox and then the house right on top of them. The door creaks open and they fall onto a sidewalk, a cow falling on them. Amy sweeps her hands in satisfaction.
"You realize I cannot let you two win," The old man declares from the hole he made, crawling out to the angry duo. "This is a fight to the finish, between three worthy-"
"Can it!" Jenny uses a fist from her body to punch him into a wall. She grabs a lamppost as Amy grabs the man and holds him up. "We are not in the mood, lousy amateur," She wraps him up in the lamppost. "You ruined our one chance at happiness with great guys..." Jenny puts him back into the wall as they leave. "Guys who...one of them is scared of machines, and I'm a machine."
"And where the other doesn't know that I used to be a boy," Amy frowns as they let it sink in. "And doesn't approve of girls doing boy things."
"These were doomed from the start," Jenny laments while sagging her shoulders.
Travis dusts himself off as the robot and brunette walk up to the brothers...and Travis did not look happy with her. "Um, Travis, we have to talk."
"Oh ho, you're darned right we do. How dare you risk not only people's lives but your friend's to keep a stinking date?" Amy winces at his questioning as does Cody. "I was just getting used to being with a robot, but I can never get used to being with someone so selfish. Goodbye!"
"Umm...there's another thing, though..." Amy rubs the back of her neck, glancing at Cody. "And this isn't easy to say, but...I was born a boy."
"What?!" Cody recoils back in shock as Travis gasps, and then the brunet narrows his eyes. "Why wouldn't you be honest from the start about that?"
"I was, but then I got afraid when Jenny asked if you were comfortable about it, and you said you wouldn't," She reminds him sadly.
"Oh, I can't believe this! It's not even that you used to be a boy, but it's that you kept the truth from me!"
Amy's eyes sadden at this. "But I-"
"I can't go out with someone who lies! We're through too."
The two look at them in shock as their father comes by with a bunch of luggage. The two get on and ride off with him. "We're never gonna find boyfriends," Jenny sits down with her hands on her cheeks. Amy sighs as she transforms back and sits next to her.
"The first crush I've had in a while, and I blew it..."
"It just wasn't meant to be with Travis or Cody," Brad walks up to them. "But more importantly, I think you two have learned valuable lessons today. Always be yourselves." Jenny fumes as being herself was part of the problem. "You're special just the way you are. It's important to stay true to yourself, and-"
Jenny shoves him to the ground. "Save it, beanpole," She growls to Amy's shock. "Who are you, my mother?" She then flies off, leaving them behind.
"You should be proud of your robot powers." Amy's eyes widen as she pulls him away from an incoming laser.
"Brad, I don't think this is the best time," She tries to tell him to knock it off.
"Thattagirl!"
"Seriously, dude, stop," Amy gives him a blank look.
"She's accepted it!" Brad gestures to her. "You'll bounce back, Jen!"
Jenny turns around and prepares a giant cannon. "OKAY, that's enough now, time to get you home," Amy drags him off before he could get himself disintegrated.
Sheldon walks over to his door as someone is knocking. He opens it up and recoils back in shock to see Amy standing there, looking forlorn. "Amy? What are you doing here, it's late," He looks at his watch as it's almost 10 pm.
"Can I come in, Sheldon?" She looks away meekly. He gestures for her to come in and she takes a seat on the couch.
"What's the occasion that you had to come over?"
"Well...there was this boy, named Cody. And...he didn't have a positive reaction over my...thing."
"Oh..." He then blinks in realization of what she meant. "Ohhh! I'm really sorry, Amy. He doesn't deserve you if he can't accept you," He pats her shoulder comfortingly.
"It's not that, it's that...well, I'm not really that feminine to other boys. And normally I wouldn't care, but...it seemed like it was going so well, you know? And I just don't like falling in love because of that, it makes me feel too...vulnerable," She hugs herself, feeling a bit insecure. "Maybe I'm being too hopeful about my love life..."
He bends down and gives her a hug, causing her to smile and return it silently. His action was all she needed to know about what he could've said to her. "Thanks," She whispers gratefully and he pulls away, rubbing his neck.
"That's what friends do, Amy..."
"By the way, why weren't you more worried about Jenny's date with Travis?" She couldn't help but ask as Sheldon would've been all over making sure Jenny didn't date him.
"No offense, but if a guy is already afraid of her, there's not really much I have to do because it speaks for itself," He crosses his arms with a smug smile. "If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have left it alone. But then again, who could ever be afraid of Jenny?" He swoons and she facepalms. If anything, he'll never change...
