TUESDAY
The meeting with Frank
It was a little before 9:30 when Ash woke up, anticipating his cell phone alarm. Pikachu was sleeping peacefully next to him, and through the window (he had forgotten to close the curtains the night before) he could see a wonderful day outside.
It was still a few hours until the meeting with Frank, so Ash could stay in bed for a few more minutes, but Ash's stomach began to cry out for his well-deserved breakfast.
"It would be better to get up at once, I could not go back to sleep with the hunger that I am" Ash thought.
- Good morning Pikachu - Ash said, waking up the little Pokémon
- Pikaaaaa - Pikachu replied as he stretched
Unlike the day before, Pikachu woke up very excited and ran down with Ash in search of breakfast.
In the kitchen they found not only Evan, but also Misty and Goh, who were already having breakfast.
- Good morning Ash - Evan greeted
- Good morning everyone - Ash replied, approaching Misty to give her a quick kiss on the cheek before sitting down at the table - Did you have a good time yesterday Goh?
- Yeah, it was really fun, and you?
- Very well. Thanks for taking care of Pikachu
- It was nothing - Goh replied with a smile - Do you plan to train today?
- Yes, after lunch I will be free to train or at least share a little with my Pokémon, I haven't even had time to see them
- I'm sure they understand ... And they will be happy to train with you this afternoon - Misty reassured him
- I hope so ... What will you do today?
- I will continue to enjoy my vacations ... Maybe I will enjoy the beach for a while, but I will return to have lunch with you - Misty replied
- And you Goh?
- Misty's idea sounds very good, but I think that after lunch I will go tour the island a little more
- Great, we can all have lunch together. - Ash said - Pikachu, do you want to go with me to the meeting or do you prefer to stay here with Misty and Goh?
- Pi Pikachu pika - Pikachu replied, pointing to Misty and Goh
- Okay, have fun. I won't be long - Ash replied, getting up from the table - I have to go, but I'll be back for lunch.
- Are you really going jogging? - Misty asked, remembering last night's conversation.
- Yes, I need a little exercise. But I'll be careful with my shoulder, don't worry
Ash arrived at the office shortly before 11 am. The run from home had been very peaceful and he had enjoyed it very much.
Ash was a very active person, and he had always said that thought better while running, and lately he had a lot to think about.
Upon entering the building, he met Frank, who apparently had also been arriving
- Good morning Ash - greet Frank - Did you come running? - He added, noticing that Ash was all sweaty
- Yes, I haven't exercised in a long time, I needed it - Ash replied - give me a few minutes to refresh myself, and we can start
- Sure - answered Frank - If you like to exercise so much, maybe you should have a change of clothes here, just in case
- Yes, it's not a bad idea - Ash said - Where will we meet?
- In your office, there are some things that I should show you there
- Ok, give me a few minutes
Ash went up to his office to leave his backpack. He took out a clean t-shirt from it and then went into the bathroom to freshen up a bit.
As he changed his shirt, Ash felt a little tug on his left shoulder. During the morning run, he hadn't felt any discomfort in hir shoulder, but apparently he had made a wrong move while changing clothes.
- Argh. . I hope I haven't made anything worse - Ash said, gently massaging his shoulder to ease the pain a bit.
When he returned to his office, Frank was waiting for him on the small table by the window.
- The first thing we must do is enter your fingerprint into the system - Frank said, taking out a small fingerprint reader, which he connected to his laptop
- Why?
- Since your office and computer will have privileged and very important information, it must be protected. There is a fingerprint reader on your office door, as well as in the home office. Your computer also has a fingerprint reader.
Ash was a bit astonished at this, he hadn't noticed the door readers
- Oh ... I see - Ash said, putting his index finger on the little reader
- Ready, you're already in the system. In a few minutes the door readers and computers will be activated
- Cool
- This is your laptop - said Frank, handing Ash a new notebook with his official logo on the cover - all his files and folders will be remotely connected with the files and folders you have on the desktop computer that you have here in the office. This way you can work without problem wherever you are
- Thanks - Ash said, opening his new laptop
- As you can see it has the fingerprint reader that will allow you to access the main screen, try it
- Okay...
Ash did as Frank asked, and put his finger on the reader. Immediately the computer gave him access to the main screen
- Cool. Now you must configure your official email - said Frank, pointing to the icon that Ash should press
- Official email? - Ash asked
- That's right, two official emails have already been created for you. One that you will have as "Alola Champion" who will be contacted for official matters by different people who work related to the Pokémon League (Gym Leaders, Elite 4, champions, etc) or local authorities. The other is personal, which you can give to those closest to you or whoever you want.
- Okay...
- There is a third email, to which journalists or anyone who wants your participation in an event or activity must communicate. But that email will be handled by me, so that I can organize your agenda
- Ok ... - Ash answered. Apparently this meeting would be a bit overwhelming.
- Only the email address of which I will be in charge will be available on the official website of the League; yours will be made known internally to those who need to know it; and the personal one will only be known by those you share it with
- Okay...
After Ash configure the passwords and other aspects of each email, Frank continued with his explanation.
- The official phone numbers and mail address for fans will also be available on the League website
- Official phone numbers? Fan mail? - Ash asked a little confused
- Yes, something similar happens with telephones as with email. You will have an official office number, which will be know by the same people who will know your official email (only people from the league or local authorities). If you are not in the office those calls will be transferred to your cell phone. Your personal cell phone number will remain private.
- I understand ... What about the fan mail? - Ash asked
- I'll explain in a moment, let me finish with the phones and emails - Frank answered
- There's still more?
- These are your business cards - said Frank - showing him two different cards. Both had their name and contact information on one side and his official logo on the other. One had a blue background with its official logo in red, and the other had a red background with the logo in blue - The red cards contain the official contact information, the same information that those related to the League will have. You can give these cards to those who you think need them.
- Okay I understand
- The blue ones contain the contact information, which I will be in charge of. You can give them to journalists or people in charge of an event in which you want to participate, so that they can contact me and we can see availability in your agenda.
- I see - Ash said, receiving two small card holders
- As for the mailing address for fans ... It is the address to which fans can send their letters or gifts, and it is the address of this office. A physical address is always given, as fans prefer to write their own letters or directly send gifts to their idols - Frank explained
- Really?
- Sure, you'll see how in a few days letters and gifts will begin to arrive
- If you say so ... - Ash said, a little skeptical about it
- Believe me, it will happen ... To respond to your fans, or for whatever you deem appropriate, you will have this special role - said Frank, showing him a large number of pages - If you look at it, it has your logo as a large watermark, and in one of the corners the logo appears small
- Wow
- Also, you will have this stamp so that you can stamp it with your signature
- Thanks - Ash said, receiving both things and putting them in his desk drawer
- Another important thing that we must see is your agenda
- Oh dear ... - Ash said, thinking about how busy he will be for the next few weeks.
- If you could lend me your cell phone for a few minutes, please - asked Frank - I will download the app you need to be able to see your schedule without problems
Ash handed his cell phone to Frank, who in a couple of minutes returned it to him with the app installed
- I have access to your agenda from my cell phone, so I will be able to constantly addi or delete activities.
- Okay...
- If you look closely at your agenda you will see that the events have different colors. This allows us to easily identify those that are "mandatory", those that are confirmed, those that are not yet confirmed, and those that are personal.
- Oh ... I see - Ash said, looking at the multiple colored labels on his screen
- Those in Blue are mandatory activities, for example tomorrow's meeting or the battle
- I understand
- The activities in Green are confirmed activities, but in the event of an emergency they could be rescheduled
- Okay...
- The activities in yellow are those that have not yet been confirmed by you. For example, if you are invited to participate in a local festival, I will add the activity in yellow, waiting for you to decide if you want to participate or not. If you enter the activity, you will see some details of the event and that the app asks you if you want to confirm your attendance or not. If you confirm, the activity remains green, otherwise it remains red. With this information, I will contact the organizers to notify them of your decision
- Oh, I understand ... Very useful - Ash said
- The activities in Purple are of a personal nature, for example if you want to visit a friend or family member. It is important that you add them to the agenda, to block the schedule so that I do not schedule any activity for that day
- I understand - Ash said - Will all the activities that I enter on the agenda stay in Lila?
- No, you can choose which color to save them with
- I see. How will you know if I added something?
- Every time I make a change in the agenda you will receive a notification. And if you make a change, notify me. In this way we will not have misunderstandings
- I see ... - Ash said, looking carefully at his schedule for the next few days - There are not many activities yet, but probably once the official announcement is made that will change. - said Frank - Oh I forgot ... With the Orange label activities such as flights or trips will appear
- Oh dear ... I'm already getting stressed - Ash said, overwhelmed with so much information
- Calm down. From what Mr. Goodshow has told me, the first weeks of a Champion are usually a bit chaotic, but once the press calms down and you get into the rhythm of the different activities, everything becomes very calm
- I hope so
- Well, for now it would only be left to see the subject of your contract
- Contract?
- Of course, as you can see in it your main responsibilities are specified, as well as all your benefits - said Frank, pointing out the various points of the contract - This is the standard contract for all Champions, but obviously you can read it calmly before signing it. If you have any questions or points that you would like to talk to Mr. Goodshow, just let me know.
- OK thank you. - Ash said, leafing through the contract
- Obviously to keep the secret, you must keep it in this office until you sign it with Mr. Goodshow. Like I said, you can read it calmly, but ideally it should be signed before the official announcement
- Ok, I'll read it as soon as I can - Ash said, before putting it in one of his desk drawers
- Excellent - answered Frank - have you thought about where you are going to want to have your house?
- No, I haven't thought about that yet
- There is no rush ... - Frank reassured him - First you must decide if you are going to want a house in the city or on the outskirts; or if you prefer to buy a house already built or a land to build later at your leisure
- Oh ... - Ash said thoughtfully
- There are cities that are more expensive than others, and it is generally more convenient to buy land on the outskirts of the city
- Really?
- That's right, with the savings on the purchase of the land later you have greater freedom to build to your liking
- Oh I see
- Depending on where you choose, you could probably get a house similar to Alola's in size. Regarding the land, it could be similar or even a little larger, since Alola is a tourist place and its land is not cheap.
- You're sure? Won't it be too much of an expense?
- No, it would be within budget
- Wow ... - Ash answered astonished, it was a great budget
- Like I said, there's no rush. As soon as you have something decided let me know and I can help you find available places so you can choose
- Ok ... I'll think about it
- Great - said Frank - we only need to review one thing
- OK what else?
- Our contracts, mine and Evan's - Frank explained - Both must be updated, since our positions will change, at least on paper, and we will go to work for you, the champion
- Oh, I see ... What should we do? - Ash asked, not quite sure what to do about it.
- Don't worry, the League has standard contracts for the different positions. You just have to read and sign them. As for the payment of our salaries, the League will continue to be in charge of that, this is only an administrative matter.
- Oh, I understand .. I'll review them and give them to you tomorrow
- Excellent. In that case we are done for today - said Frank - there are still some things to explain, but that will be done by Mr. Goodshow later
- Cool. Do you want to lunch at the house with us? - Ash asked
- I would love to, but I can't, I must meet with Mr. Goodshow, we will go to see some places to see if we could build a gym there
- Good luck with that
- Thanks, see you tomorrow - Frank said goodbye, and then left the office
Ash glanced at the clock on the wall, and since he still had time before lunch, it would be best to get a little work done. So he decided to review the various contracts that Frank had given him
Once reviewed and signed, it was time to go.
For the way back Ash decided that this time it would be better to walk and not run. Ash had the option of walking on the beach, as he had done the night before, or walking through the middle of the city. After a few seconds of thinking about it, Ash started walking towards the center of the city, where there were still many activities related to the festival.
Ash really loved Alola and its people, all always so friendly and cheerful.
On the way he met the lady from the market who always gave fruits to Inceneroar when he was still a Liten, and several other people he had met in his time in Alola
He was already leaving the center of the city when something caught his attention. In a small square, under a tree a group of 4 small children, 6-7 years old, were surrounding a small Trumbeak
- Come on Trumbeak, you must drink water - said one of the children
- Or eat some of this apple - said another
- Come on, you haven't eaten anything all day - said the last one a little sad
Ash, decided that the best thing would be to come closer to see what was happening -
- Alola guys, what's up? - Ash asked
- It's Trumbeak, we always play with him ... but today we find him here on the grass - one of the children answered
- He does not want to move or play with us - said the only girl in the group
- We have tried to give him water and fruit, but he doesn't want to - said the last
- That's strange, let me see if I can help - Ash said
Ash approached the tree, crouching down to be level with Trumbeak.
- Hello Trumbeak, my name is Ash, I will not hurt you, I just want to help you
Seeing that Trumbeak didn't seem to be scared of him, Ash added
- Are you injured? - when Trumbeak nodded, Ash added - I'm going to check you ok, don't be afraid
Ash gently took Trumbeak so he could check it out. He was clearly not as good as Nurse Joy, but so many years of training with Pokémon and everything Brock had taught him allowed him to do a simple check-up and thus assess whether Nurse Joy's help was needed.
- I see, you hurt a wing and a your leg. But luckily it only seems to be a blow to the wing, even though your leg is somewhat swollen - Ash said - Don't worry, you'll feel fine very soon
Ash took out of his backpack a bottle of Super Potion and some bandages. Something Brock taught him should always be in his backpack
After applying the Super potion to both parts and bandaging his leg, Ash offered a berry to Trumbeak
- Here, with this Orane berry you will feel much better
Trumbeak received the berry and ate it with great enthusiasm, apparently the Super potion was already taking effect and he was already feeling much better
When the children saw that Trumbeak was more animated, they were very happy
- Trumbeak is fine now! -said the little girl
- Thank you very much Mr. Ash! - they all said together
- Don't thank me, it's thanks to you that Trumbeak is better - Ash said
- But we didn't do anything ...
- You found him and took care of him, and it was thanks to youre concern that I was able to help. Otherwise I would not have seen it - Ash explained with a big smile - you did a great job kids
When the children heard Ash they felt very proud and happy for having helped Trumbeak
- Keep taking care of him, okay? - Ash asked them - he will feel like new very soon
- We will do it!
When Ash turned to continue on his way, he saw a couple approaching him.
- Thank you very much for your help - said the woman - Amy was very worried about Trumbeak - she added, pointing to the little girl
- We were just going to take Trumbeak to Nurse Joy when you showed up - he added.
- Oh, I'm sorry ... I didn't see you - Ash apologized
- Don't apologize, it turned out much better this way, Trumbeak is fine and the children are happy - he said -
That last thing you told them, it was wonderful. Thank you - she said
- It was the truth ... I like to see little children worrying so much about Pokémon - Ash explained - I must go, they are waiting for me for lunch
- Sure. Thanks again for the help - she said
- It was excellent to see that the champion of our League is not only good with battles, but is also good with Pokémon and children - he added - I hope your tomorrow's battle is as spectacular as yesterday
- Thank you very much, with my Pokémon we will do our best to make it happen - Ash said, saying goodbye to continue on his way
"Wow, that was ... New ... But I loved it" Ash thought, as he continued walking towards the house.
When he got home he found everything ready for lunch
- Sorry for the delay guys - he apologized as he entered, approaching to greet Misty with a kiss
- Don't worry, we just finished setting the table - Goh said
After leaving his backpack in his room, washing his hands and everyone was seated at the table, the conversation continued
- Did the meeting take longer than you expected? - asked Misty
- No, not really. On the way home I met some children very concerned about an injured Trumbeak
- You stopped to help, didn't you? - Misty asked with a warm smile. She knew Ash so well that she was sure of the answer, but still wanted to hear the rest of the story.
- Yes. The poor thing had hurt his leg and had a slightly beaten wing
- Did you take him to Nurse Joy? - Goh asked
- No, it wasn't necessary. It only required some Super Potion and a bandage.
- You're sure? - Goh asked
- Of course! I watched Brock take care of different Pokémon for years, and on a couple of occasions he gave me first aid lessons - Ash replied
- Brock will be very happy and amazed to know that you were paying attention - Misty said laughing
- Ha ha ... If it's something related to Pokémon I always pay attention
- Not always
- Of course!
- Don't start again! - Goh pleaded
- I'm sorry Goh ... It's not on purpose - Misty said, laughing again - the important thing is that you were able to help him
- Yes, and the children were very happy - Ash added
After finishing lunch, Goh went upstairs to prepare to go out on a walk through the island.
- I'll go change to enjoy the pool - Misty said, heading for the stairs
- Are you coming? - she asked Ash
- I could be with you in the pool for a while, but then I have to train - Ash replied
- Cool!
- I have to do some things first, I'll go as soon as I can
- Ok, I'll wait for you at the pool then
Ash first made his way to the Pokémon Lounge, where he found Rowlet and Lycanroc napping, and Oshawott and Scraggy playing a video game.
- Hello guys, in an hour we will have training, Ok ?. You are the ones in charge of waking them up - Ash told them, pointing to Lycanroc and Rowlet
Oshawott and Scarggy nodded and continued with their video game.
Ash went to the large shelf at the back, from which he took out some bandages and a bottle of Super Potion. He had to replace the bandages he had used today, and the Super potion in his backpack was almost empty.
Then he went to his room. As he was going up the stairs he met Goh, who was going down
- I'm already going out, I'll see you later!
- Hopefully you can catch a lot of Pokémon
- Thanks
Once in his room, Ash took from his backpack his new laptop, the business cards that Frank had given him, and a folder; then he put inside the new bandages and the Super potion
Ash took the laptop, the folder and the cards and went to the small office in the house.
When he was in front of the door, he noticed that the lock had a small reader at its bottom, which is why he had not seen it until now, it was designed in such a way that it looked like an ordinary lock
Once inside, he put the cards in one of the desk drawers, and put the laptop on top. With the folder still in hand, he leave the office in search of Evan.
Ash found Evan in the Living
- Hi Evan, can we talk for a minute?
- Sure, what's up?
- Frank told me today that your contract should be updated. I already checked it and signed it - Ash said, handing him the folder - when you have time, check it
- Oh, thank you, I'll do that.
- Frank told me that they were standard contracts for the different positions, but if there is something with which you do not agree, perhaps we could discuss it with Mr. Goodshow - Ash added kindly
- Thanks Ash, I'll read it as soon as I can
- Great, remember that Goh still doesn't know anything.
- Ok, I'll be careful
Finally, Ash went up to his room to change to be able to enjoy the beautiful pool that was in the house
From his bedroom window, Ash watched the view in front of him. In the lounge chairs in front of the pool were Misty and Pikachu, and in the pool was Psyduck with his respective float. A little further in the gardens were his Pokémon, some were taking a nap under a tree, others enjoying the small pond or simply sharing with their friends
It really was a beautiful sight
Without wasting any more time, Ash finished changing, taking care of his shoulder that was still somewhat resentful of what happened after the morning exercise, took his things and went down to share a bit with Misty in the pool before training
-Hi you - Ash said, approaching Misty
- Hello - she answered with a smile
- How was the meeting today?
Ash told Misty everything that happened at the meeting with Frank and the details of his encounter with the children and the Trumbeak.
- I guess this makes it a bit more real for you, doesn't it?
- Yes, this is really happening - Ash said with a huge smile - Today when I stopped to help those children and Trumbeak, I ... It was great, you know? Somehow it felt different from the many other times that we have helped a Pokémon ... I don't know how to explain it...
Misty watched Ash carefully as he tried to tell his story and understand how he felt about it. Ash was shining ... His eyes and his smile showed not only happiness, but also a lot of passion, emotion, pride ... And Wisdom? Leadership?. Misty wasn't sure, but his gaze had changed, it was no longer just Ash, the kid from Pallet Town; It was Ash, the Alola Champion
- I don't know ... How happy the children were when I told them that thanks to them Trumbeak was fine ... Or what their father told me ... I don't know, something was different, but it was wonderful
- So I see, and I'm very proud of you. I think the difference was that now you are the Champion, a kind and caring champion who stopped to help a little Trumbeak and who made some children happy with a simple phrase - Misty said, with a lot of pride in her voice
Ash looked at Misty for a few seconds very thoughtful before answering her.
- Thank you ... Every time I remember that I am the Champion, I feel very excited and worried at the same time ...
- What are you talking about?
- The part of the battles does not concern me ... Even protecting Alola does not concern me so much, I would do it anyway ... - Ash said very seriously - but everything else, everything administrative ... Today I had to review contracts ... I have never seen a contract in my life! ... I am supposed to keep in touch with the authorities of the region in order to help it grow and prosper. What do I know about that? I don't know anything about business or politics ...
- Calm down ... have you talked about this with Mr. Goodshow?
- No, there really hasn't been time
- I think you should discuss it with him, I'm sure he already knows that you are not an expert in those areas, and that he thought of a solution
- Do you really believe it?
- Sure, Ash. Any new job requires adaptation time and in some cases some training. No one expects you to know how to perform all your tasks overnight, there are many skills that are obtained with time and practice
- You're right, I'll talk to him. Thank you - Ash said more relaxed
- Well, now that you are calmer, what do you think if we test the water?
- Sounds like an excellent idea to me, - Ash replied, getting up to give Misty a quick kiss before removing the splint from her wrist and getting into the pool. Luckily his sling could get wet
Misty looked surprised at Ash, who had entered the pool by the staits, in all these years she had never seen Ash enter a pool, lake or river so calmly
- Are you alright? - Misty asked
- Sure do, why do you ask?
- Because you came through the stairs ... - Misty answered - You hurt yourself while running this morning, didn't you?
- No! I'm fine - Ash said, with his best fake smile
- What we had talked about not lying if you are hurt ...
- I'm sorry ... - Ash said - but it's true, I didn't hurt while running ... When I changed my shirt I felt a little tug on my shoulder, I must have made a wrong move ...
- It hurts?
- Just a little bit, it's more of a hassle
- In that case it might be better if you don't swim - Misty said
- Yes, I wasn't thinking of doing it. But still I can enjoy the pool with you - Ash said, with a smile
- Okay, I won't refuse that, - Misty added, with a flirtatious smile before throwing herself into the pool.
Ash and Misty had only been in the water for about 10 minutes when Ash's cell phone started ringing
- Pikachu, would you give me my phone please - Ash asked, without leaving the pool
- Pika
- It's a video call from Brock - Ash said, receiving his phone
- Remember not to say anything about being the champion - Misty said
- I know. Remember not to tell him anything about us - Ash answered before answering the call
- Hi Ash
- Hi Brock, how have you been?
- All good over here ... Wondering how it is possible that my two best friends are in Alola without me! That's right Misty, I know you're around
- Hello Brock - Misty greeted, appearing in front of the screen
- Come on Brock, you know that we would love you to be here, but I knew that these days you would be with many exams, you told me yourself a few weeks ago when we spoke
- Yes, it's true ... I'm surprised you remembered
- Hey! Of course I remembered ... that's why I didn't invite you to come
- And I needed a vacation, I only took advantage of accompanying Ash
- Really? - Brock asked, looking closely at his friends. After a few minutes he added - Okay, I forgive you ... What happened to your shoulder? - Brock asked pointing to the sling that he could see on Ash's shoulder - I also noticed yesterday in the battle that you had a splint on your wrist
- Ehm ... - Ash said, he didn't want to hear a lecture from Brock on the subject
- He got hurt protecting Bonnie. But don't worry, I already yelled at him a little
- Yes, of course a little - said Ash
- Are you okay? ; - asked Brock. He had known Ash for many years, and he knew how risky he was, and for the same reason he always worried when he got hurt
- Yes, I'm already much better ... And in a few more days I'll be like new
- If you say so ... But don't overdo it, ok - said Brock
- Don't worry, I won't - Ash replied
- I'll keep an eye on him - added Misty
- Is Goh with you? - Brock asked
- Yes, now he is touring the Island - Ash replied
- I see ... - said Brock, somewhat thoughtful
At that moment there were a few seconds of silence, seconds in which Ash and Misty lookat each other to remind the other not to reveal any secrets
- Okay, what's up? I know you are hiding something from me ..
Ash and Misty looked at each other in amazement, apparently Brock really knew them very well ...
- Us? We are not hiding anything from you. - Misty answered, in a not very convincing way.
It had always been very difficult to fool Brock
- Really? Pikachu! Are you there?
- Pika - Pikachu said, approaching the screen to see Brock
- Hello Pikachu, tell me, are they hiding something from me, aren't they?
Pikachu looked to Ash for help, he didn't know what to say to Brock.
- Pi? - Pikachu finally answered, trying to make himself look innocent
Brock kept looking at Pikachu, Ash, and Misty very carefully, so much so that everyone was starting to get a little nervous. -
- Is someone going to tell me what happens or not?
Ash and Misty looked at each other again, trying to converse only with their eyes, without Brock discovering them, and devise some plan to deceive him
- No! - Brock yelled - Since when !?
- Since when, what? - Ash asked surprised
- Since when are you two dating?
- What?! - Ash and Misty said at the same time
- Awww ... I can't believe it! Years waiting for this to happen and I missed it!
- Brock ...
- Come on, I need to know all the details!
Ash and Misty looked at each other again, obviously there was no reason to deny it anymore
- Calm down Brock, or I won't be able to tell you anything - Misty said
- How did you find out?
- Oh, come on ... I've been watching the two of you look at each other for years, with affection, but without daring to express it ... And because of how you look at each other now ... There is no other explanation
- Wow ... are we so obvious? asked Misty
- Maybe for someone who doesn't know you as well as I do, no ...
- Great ... We want to keep it a secret for a while ...
- Why? - Brock asked
- So that no one else has an opinion on a relationship that has just begun
- I understand, don't worry ... I won't say anything
- Great, thanks Brock - Ash said
- So, the details ...- insisted Brock
- There are not many details yet Brock, we only started on Sunday night - Misty explained
- Who declared first?
- Ehm .. nobody - Ash answered
- What do you mean nobody? So how did you know that the other felt the same?
- We just .. kissed, - Misty explained.
- Just like that? You were talking and suddenly uou just kissed ... - said Brock, somewhat incredulous
- More or less - Ash replied
- It was night, we were sitting in front of the lagoon, and ... It happened ... - Misty explained
Brock looked at his friends again for a few seconds, before adding
- I'm very happy for you
- Thanks Brock - Misty said
- You mentioned a lagoon, but I don't remember seeing any ... Where in Alola are you now?
- We are in Melemele. We are staying in a great house that the League has here in Alola. Mr. Goodshow allowed us to stay here - Ash explained, then showing Brock with his phone a quick view of the house
- Oh, I see, she looks very pretty - added Brock
- It's very cozy, you will love it when you come sometime - Misty said.
Ash upon hearing Misty's comment immediately added
- Mr. Goodshow said we could stay here every time we come. Apparently no one uses it
- Oh, but it must be new right? I mean, until recently there was no League in Alola - asked Brock
- I don't know ... I guess you're right - Ash said, trying to sound as casual as possible
- And is Mr Goodshow staying there with you? - Brock asked
- No, he said he preferred a hotel - Misty replied
- Did you see my battle yesterday, what do you think? - Ash asked, trying to change the subject before Brock got suspicious.
- Of course! But I almost missed it, you could have at least warned me, to be prepared
- Sorry, it didn't occur to me to do it - Ash apologized
- It was very good! You really did shine Ash. I'm really glad you're using some of your old Pokémon and strategies
- Thanks. If it has been very entertaining, go back to training with everyone at the same time
- I was also able
was also able to see a replay of your interview the other day. Have you really been helping with the new version of the conference?
- Yes, you can't even imagine how much Mr. Goodshow has made me work
Brock looked at Ash a bit puzzled with his answer.
- He has had many meetings, with Professor Kukui, the kahunas, etc - Misty explained, noticing that Brock was again very close to beginning to suspect
- Oh, I see ... Is everything going okay?
- Yes, excellent. But I can't tell you anything, Mr. Goodshow wants it to be a surprise
- From what I have seen, Mr. Goodshow has many surprises in store. They have really tried very hard to get people excited about the next version of the conference - said Brock
- I hope so, it would be great if many trainer from different regions came to participate
- That will happens, don't worry. - Misty said
- Guys, it's been great talking to you, but I have to go back to study, tomorrow I have a big test in the morning
- Good luck with that Brock, Bye - Misty said goodbye
- Good luck, you will do excellent! - said Ash
- Good bye guys. Good luck in your next battle Ash! - Brock said before cutting off the call
- Well ... Our secret lasted a couple of minutes ... at least we managed to mislead him with the most important thing - Misty said with a laugh - Sorry for almost ruining it
- Don't worry, luckily nothing happened ... but I can't believe he discovered it so easily, although he was very surprised
- It's true ... If he was so surprised by this, I would love to see his face when he finds out that you are the Champion of Alola - added Misty happily
- Yes, I would love to see how he reacts .. - Ash said thoughtfully - in fact I would love to be the one to tell my mother, Professor Oak and the others ...
- Maybe you could give them a little surprise, but without really revealing it - Misty suggested
- What are you talking about?
- You mentioned some special papers to answer letters from your fans, right?
- Yes ..
- You could write a little note on them and send it to them - said Misty - Obviously in order to not reveal much, the note would have to be short and simple, and it would have to be signed by "The Champion". This way, you will only confuse them, but you will have told them personally ...
- Wow, that's a great idea! - Ash said happily - I'll ask Mr. Goodshow if I can do it, it would be great
- It would be necessary to send them in such a way that they receive them just before the announcement in the press, so that in case of discovering the secret, they do not have time to tell anyone
- That part is a bit difficult ... I really don't know where everyone is ... I guess May, Dawn, Serena and Max are still traveling ... I haven't talked to Cilan and Iris in a while ...
- Don't worry, that's the easiest thing to solve
- How?
- You simply write to them asking if they saw your battle yesterday, and remind them that they should see tomorrow's ... When they have already answered you, ask them what they are doing ... Simple - Misty said, ending with a big smile of satisfaction
- Cool! I'll write them now ... And I'll talk to Mr. Goodshow tomorrow - Ash said, as he left the pool to go sit on one of the lounge chairs - By the way, that malicious plan came to you very quickly, I don't know whether to be impressed or scared
- Haha ... Are you planning to send a note to Goh and the Alola gang too? - Misty asked, following Ash out of the pool
- I'm not sure ... With everyone else we met and shared with at least a couple of the champions ... So receiving a letter from "The Champion" will be confusing, but not so strange ... - he tried to explain Ash - Goh met Lionel ... But the Alola gang don't know any ...
- Oh, I see .. in fact maybe they think you sent them, since you are the champion of the League ..
- Sure ... I think I better not send anything to them. Although maybe one to Goh, I don't know yet
- Well, in that case you better start writing in those groups, or you won't have time to train - Misty said
- It's true, I must hurry
Ash replaced the splint on his left hand, then began writing to his friends
First Ash decided to write in a group chat where most of his friends were, since they had all known each other at some point. In this group were Brock, Misty, Tracey, Gary, May, Max and Dawn
"Ash: Hi guys! How have you been?
Sorry for not letting you know sooner, but it's been a crazy few days. The Manalo Festival is taking place to promote the new version of the Alola League.
During these days some exhibition battles and other activities will be broadcast. I just wanted to ask you if you had seen my yesterday's battle ... And let you know that tomorrow there will be another one, so you don't miss it.
I hope everybody is fine!"
- How about that? - Ash asked Misty, showing her the message before sending it
- Well ... Very your style ahaha - Misty said with a laugh
- What's wrong with it? - Ash asked, not understanding Misty's laugh
- Nothing ... I'm just saying that it shows that you wrote it ... - she said, giving him a kiss on the cheek to reassure him - It's okay, send it
- Okay...
Ash repeated the message in two other group chats. Only Cilan and Iris were in the first one. And in the second were Clemont, Bonnie and Serena
- Alright, now I just wait for someone to answer - Ash said standing up - Meanwhile it's time to train! - He added, putting on his clothes before running towards his Pokémon
- Ash! - Misty called him - What will you train today? Remember my Gyarados want some action
- I wanted to practice our strategy a bit for tomorrow' match ... Maybe Gyarados can help us later with some movements, let me practice them a bit and I let you know
- Ok ... I'll be sunbathing
- Thanks! Come on Pikachu
A couple of hours later, Ash had already polished up the strategy for the next day quite a bit, and had even been able to practice a bit with the Pokémon that would participate in the third battle.
- Misty, I think we are ready for Gyarados - Ash said, approaching Misty - I want to use the Z movement that we have been practicing
- Ok, give me a second to get dressed - Misty replied, quickly putting on her Shorts and T-shirt over her Bikini
Goh was a little hungry and a little tired from his afternoon exploring the Island.
It had been a very rewarding afternoon, as he had not only caught a couple of Pokémon, but had also been able to observe many Pokémon and had a lot of material. to deliver to Professor Cerise
Upon arriving at the house, Goh met Evan, who told him that dinner would be ready soon and that his friends were in the garden training.
Going out into the garden, Goh found that Ash and Misty weren't just training, they were having an awesome battle. On one side was Misty with her MegaGyarados and on the other was Ash with Torterra
- Gyarados, Dragon Fury! - Misty ordered
- Torterra, it's our time to see if our training has paid off - Ash said, while performing the plant-like Z movement pose with Torterra - Bloom Doom!
Both attacks collided midway, causing a huge explosion that forced everyone present to shield their eyes from the cloud of dust and wind that it caused. When they were able to look at the battlefield again, both Pokémon had had to recoil from the force of the explosion and were staring at each other, both notoriously tired.
- Wow! - exclaimed Goh
Ash and Misty looked at the newcomer in surprise, they were so focused on the battle that they had not seen him arrive
- Hello Goh - Ash said
- Hi Goh. - Misty greeted - Maybe we should end the battle here Ash
- Yes, maybe it's the best - said Ash, approaching Torterra - great job with the Z movement, it was perfect
- Thanks Gyarados, it was an excellent battle - Misty said to Gyarados, while he was returning to his original form
- Evan said dinner would be ready soon - Goh said
- Great, I'm very hungry - Ash replied - How was your afternoon of exploration?
- Very good, I got a lot of material to show Professor Cerise
- Excellent
After returning Gyarados to her PokeBall, Misty looked at Ash and Goh as they chatted about what happened during the afternoon. Misty could notice how Ash, inadvertently, placed his right hand on her left shoulder and began to massage it very gently
- Does your shoulder still hurt Ash? - Misty asked
- Huh? I thought you were better - said Goh, a little alarmed
- I'm fine ... it's just a little discomfort - Ash replied
- Wouldn't it be better if you put on the other sling? At least until tomorrow's battle ... So you let your shoulder rest and that discomfort will probably go away - suggested Misty
- Yes, maybe it's a good idea ... - Ash said, not very excited about the idea of having to use that sling again.
- Do you still have any painkillers? Maybe you can have one too ... - suggested Goh
- I don't think it's necessary, the other sling will probably be enough ... - Ash said - if tomorrow I still feel the discomfort, I could take one before the battle ... But only if necessary ... Those pills get me very sleepy
At that moment Evan appeared in the gardens next to them
- Dinner will be ready in about 5 minutes - Evan informed
- Excellent Evan, thank you - said Ash - we are finished here, we will go right away
- Very good - Evan said before heading back to the house to finish dinner.
- Well, that gives us just enough time for you to change your sling. Come on - Misty said, guiding Ash into the house
Once in Ash's room, Misty and Goh helped him take off his shirt and current sling, then put the shirt back on and put on the old sling and thus better secure the shoulder. Thanks to Misty and Goh, the whole process was very smooth and without movements that will aggravate the feeling of discomfort that Ash already felt
- Ready. Feeling a little better already? - Misty asked
- Thanks guys. The truth is that yes, since the arm no longer moves at all, the discomfort is lessened - said Ash
- Hopefully by tomorrow it will be much better - Gob added
It sure will be, - Ash said, with his usual good spirits.
After dinner Misty and Goh retired to their rooms. Misty wanted to do some reading and Goh wanted to organize all the information he had collected for the Professor
Ash on his side went to the gardens to do some more training. Together with Lucario and Greninja, he headed towards the lagoon
Once in the lagoon, Ash and Greninja stared at each other for a few seconds and then closed their eyes, when opening them again, Greninja had changed into his Greninja-Ash form. The three of them then sat on the grass, forming a small triangle.
Similar to what just happened with Greninja, when the three of them sat on the ground, they stared at each other for a few seconds, then closed their eyes. But this time they weren't reopened for a long time.
About an hour later Ash entered his room to lie down.
After brushing his teeth, Ash decided that it would be best to sleep in the shirt he already had on, and that it was not worth wearing pijamas.
Sorry for the delay, but December is a crazy month
I would still like to receive ideas for the challenges of the different gyms challenges, or whatever it is that you would like to see later.
