"He was racing around the streets, frightened my Princess. But we've never seen another Alicorn besides you and… Cadence."
Malibu felt so groggy, he couldn't think straight. But he could feel blankets on his body and someone putting a cloth on his head.
"There's no need to not speak of my sister, for I still miss her." A regal voice said softly.
Malibu began to feel his vision coming back to normal, as well as seeing a horse in a medic outfit looking him over.
"Your highness, he's coming to," the medic horse said in another female voice. She turned back to him. Malibu felt scared again, hoping they wouldn't hurt him.
"Hello, you don't have to worry, you're among friends, we helped you," the medic horse said. Malibu shook his head, suddenly feeling his horn light up again, conjuring up a shield that covered his body, startling the medic horse.
The ruler of Equestria, Celestia never thought she would meet another Alicorn. But here was one in front of her, seemingly frightened and lost and with powerful magic he couldn't control. But something inside Celestia told her that this young one was not of her world. She placed a gentle hoof on the magic shield, rubbing it gently.
"I understand you are frightened, young one. But I only wish to help. If you can come out from your shield I would like to talk."
Malibu uncovered himself from his wings, staring into the wise eyes of the tall horse with a horn and wings like him, her mane flowing with no wind. He felt his breathing settle after finally seeing the gentleness in the horse's gaze, and his magic toned down, relaxing, but still trembling.
"Not going to hurt Malibu?" He murmured softly, curling up. This somewhat surprised Celestia at how this alicorn spoke in third person like a small child. His voice was smooth sounding, too. She shook her head. "No, I promise," Celestia assured him softly. The Alicorn now called Malibu smiled a little. He decided that this one wasn't so bad.
"Where is Malibu?" Malibu questioned. Celestia smiled. "You are in my castle home in Canterlot, Equestria. I am Princess Celestia, the ruler."
Malibu's eyes brightened a bit, now not as scared, for after learning about horses from Maggie he was growing a small liking for them. "Horse princess?" He asked like a small child. Celestia giggled.
"The correct term is pony, small one. But maybe you can tell me where you are from?"
The clone gargoyle now felt shy about that, looking down. But something strangely connected him with this princess pony. Her voice soothed Malibu, so he got the courage to answer.
"W- was from b- big city not from th- this world. T- Thailog created Malibu, used to be a gargoyle clone. M- Malibu h- had no p- parents. F- found weird purple star gem that took me here," he mumbled shyly. Celestia watched him with pity. He just seemed so lost and alone with no caring family and created by some maniac. Plus he sounded like a frightened five year old foal, even with his strange red eye color.
She wrapped him with her wing, startling the scared gargoyle turned pony. She gave him a assuring smile.
"I'm sorry you had to live a life like that, Malibu. But you are welcome here among us. I can help you adjust and learn to fend for yourself, even help with controlling your magic," she offered. Malibu stared a little in shocked shyness, having never been offered this much help since Talon. Her wings were so warm, it kept him safe and comforted.
Perhaps Malibu accept pony's help, he thought, before nodding, tears coming. Celestia then hugged him more with her hooves, too besides her wings, making Malibu feel accepted. She almost felt like a mother to him now.
After a time they broke apart, Celestia getting up. "I'll check on you later, Malibu, ok? Just rest for a while, you need it." The pretty pony said to Malibu. He nodded, watching his new caretaker leave. The nurse pony brought him food and he ate it gratefully, enjoying the different taste of food, and hoping he can really enjoy living in this new world.
