AC: I want to thank my Beta-reader for proof-reading this chapter and all the previous ones I forgot to mention.

Chaor took a step back from the battle as it went on. He decided to observe the situation from a safe distance. He needed to know if they needed to change strategy.

The humans decided to move their frontline to the side. It was a good idea as there was a risk the tall hotel might crumble on them with the battle raging on. The red Underworlder had no reason to protest and did as suggested.

If it happened, it would have been catastrophic for the Underworld. The good news was that the M'arrillians didn't notice it. It might have been because Milla'iin wasn't giving commands and the other one was busy with too many frontlines at the same time.

The alliance surrounded them in a large building, but they couldn't progress any further.

The M'arrillians had cover and could attack them from many angles. In the sky, they couldn't help the flying creatures any more than the support the humans were already giving.

Chapter 143: The Final Battle Part 5

George walked towards Chaor and asked, "Any idea what might be in their mind?"

"No. We need to charge in if we want to crush them," the ruler of the Underworld clenched his hand as he let out a smirk. He wanted to crush them forever and never have to deal with them again.

Tom's father hoped that his son and his friend were safe. They had no word that they were rescued yet. He guessed that they hid somewhere and hoped that the Mipedians would find them. He knew Aval'par was busy against Milla'iin.

There was one thing they didn't notice, Rath'tab was missing and never joined the others when they retreated.

On another frontline Theb-Saar took cover as he listened to the report from the squadron sent to rescue the two humans and frowned. Things weren't going as planned. They still hadn't found the two humans. Things could still go wrong at any moment. He knew that if they were captured, the Overworlders and the Danians would stop the assault. That was half of their manpower. His tribe and the Underworld would stop next, as they were part of the alliance. He personally didn't want those two teenagers hurt as they were friends with Peyton.

"Find them quickly and get them out of here. If you are right, Milla'iin might win if no one helps Aval'par," the Mipedian king ordered before he focused on his own situation. He ducked when Ironballs came and almost hit his face. He cracked his knuckles, "Mudeenu!"

"Yes my king!" He replied.

"Bring some of your soldiers and bring some of those human explosives with you. The one they can trigger from a distance."

The humans by his side and the Mipedian in question knew it was a gamble. Still, their superior in the squadron said, "What are you waiting for? Prepare the explosives! We will trigger them once you give the go ahead Mudeenu!"

"Good! You three, with me!" He pointed at three Mipedians who nodded.

They grabbed the explosives and turned invisible. They went away from the creatures and the humans, to avoid getting hit by accident.

"Walk cautiously. The grass and the pool of water can give them a sign of our presence," Mudeenu ordered quietly.

"Yes, my prince," they quietly replied.

They jumped down and crawled towards the building. They heard the sounds from the attacks and the bullets above them. They just hoped that no one would have the great idea to use an Earth attack to raise the ground under them.

They were near the building and put the explosives on the wall. They made sure that it couldn't be seen easily. They just hoped the plan would succeed. The moment they released their grasp from the bombs, the explosives turned visible.

The Mipedians quickly crawled away. Once they were far enough away and not at risk of getting hit, they stood up and ran.

"Now," Mudeenu told them.

By the side of Theb-Saar, the human pressed a switch on his hand.

The explosion was big and it caused the wall to crumble. The M'arrillians were hurt by the explosion and were made vulnerable to attacks. They quickly fired at the Mipedians and humans as they moved to the side to take some cover.

The king of the Mipedian let out a small grin as he summoned his strongest wind attack and threw everything he had at them.

The creatures yelled out in pain as they were hit, but they kept fighting on against the alliance.

Tom and Sarah hid in a small room and waited. The room they were hidden in had a desk, two chairs, one at each side of the desk, a computer and a desk file holder with papers on it.

They held hands together as they carefully listened. They didn't want to make any mistakes. They knew the Mipedians would come. If they heard something and saw no one, it meant it was them. If they heard nothing, but noticed someone, it was probably one of the M'arrillians flying.

If they heard something and saw a creature, it was either good or bad.

Sarah gulped quietly as she checked the gun.

"It's working fine Sarah," Tom reassured her.

"I know, but if it decides to not work when we need it?" She asked.

"Come on Sarah. You aren't that afraid when we were in trouble in Perim," Tom let out a small smile.

"We were codes and we had our scanners, but yeah… I am a little too afraid," Sarah frowned for a few seconds, before she let out a more confident smile, "Can't let those M'arrillians beat us."

Her friend nodded. They heard the door opening brutally and they shut up.

"Humans!" They immediately recognized Rath'tab. The creature's voice sounded either frustrated or happy to figure out where they were, "I know you are hiding in here! I saw your footprints outside and nowhere else around this place! I suggest you come out of hiding and surrender. If you don't… I'll be really happy to rough you up a little Tom. Your little escape isn't forgotten."

They heard no sound of footsteps as the creature floated in the air. The two pointed their guns at the door leading to the small office they were hidden in.

"Does he have a vendetta against you Tom?" Sarah whispered.

The boy gulped, "I just escaped him when he tried to capture me…that was before the creatures showed up at Chaotic. That time I came back completely covered in webs."

"Yeah. A few players slipped on it when they ported back to Chaotic by accident before it was cleaned up. You were limping, so I never really noticed those accidents."

"I think I hit him to escape and swim after my scanner," he grumbled back. He then put his finger over his mouth.

They felt the tension in the air. They knew the M'arrillian was approaching.

Sounds of the door being ripped apart near them was a clear sign that danger was fast approaching.

The two made sure their weapons were ready to fire. They might do little damage, but they were the best things they had.

They waited and waited for a few minutes. Sweat began to drip on the ground. They just wished that the creature would show up already so they could add a few holes to his body.

Tom knew the body of the M'arrillian was like jelly, so the effectiveness might not be as much as they could expect. Aval'par was proof of that. Still, it would hurt the creature a lot and Rath'tab wouldn't expect them to fight back with guns.

(You are only making this harder on yourself Tom!) Rath'tab yelled in their minds.

The two winced a little. Still they focused on waiting for the right moment to attack.

They knew the M'arrillian was getting impatient. It would get bad if they couldn't escape him.

Sarah gazed at her boyfriend. She was worried something bad would happen to him, and she couldn't accept that. She was ready to jump at the creature when he showed up.

The sound of another door being torn apart was closer than the previous one. They could only wait.

They waited for a few more minutes as more doors were torn apart by the M'arrillian.

"Show yourself!" Rath'tab yelled, losing his patience. It sounded a little like he was beginning to suspect they had gone elsewhere while he hunted them down.

The two knew there was no way out for them. They waited and eventually, the door opened and the M'arrillian appeared in the room they were hidden in.

Aval'par was hit by a few more attacks from Milla'iin and grunted in pain as ice shards stuck in his body. He quickly forced those shards out, but was tackled on his chest and crashed on the ground. He groaned as he hit his face. He frowned as he grabbed the other Chieftain with his tendrils and threw him away.

The two glared at each other for a few seconds. They panted loudly as their breath was short. They fought for a while.

Aval'par felt his body getting weaker. He knew he would reach his limit soon. He checked the other and saw him in a far better state. He guessed that was because he hesitated a little in this fight compared to the other M'arrillian. He cursed himself for that, but still, he did what he could to protect the two humans. He just hoped that none of the M'arrillians would get Tom and Sarah.

He raised his hand, ready to attack when he felt something different in the air.

Milla'iin heard a suspicious sound and looked around. He saw nothing. His mind already told him that something bad was about to happen if he stood still. He quickly flew into the air and avoided a few air attacks coming at him. He looked around and knew some Mipedians were around. The battle was over and he couldn't finish the traitor, (I will finish you another time traitor!) He quickly flew away as more attacks came at him. He went to search for the two humans.

He received many reports of the situation and it was sour for his tribe. It was the opposite of the battle at the Cothica. The other tribes had the advantage with the humans who were by their side. He quickly gave a few orders and focused on taking back those two humans.

He was furious at them, but more at Aval'par who allowed them to run away.

Gathup stopped when they saw a large building with broken glass. He had a feeling that this wasn't normal. It was a break in, despite the fact that the door was opened near it.

His instincts told him that an intruder just went into this building. Once they went inside, he felt like it was a market where many things were sold. He had little idea what most of the produce were, but could smell the food and other things. He didn't focus on that as he looked around.

He noticed a few shelves were on the ground with their contents wasted.

The Mipedians quietly walked inside as they tried to see where the creature who did that was. They had the feeling it was a M'arrillian and no one else.

"Show yourself!" They heard the voice of another creature in the place.

They knew the creature was furious and losing patience. They made haste, not bothering to be discreet.

Suddenly, they heard a loud noise, followed by many others.

Gathup recognized the sound of human battlegear. He knew the two humans attacked the M'arrillian, "Go now!" He ordered.

They rushed forward, hoping they would be there in time.

AC: This is the end of this chapter.

Next: Gathup and the other Mipedians rushed to save the two in time while the battle still raged on.
