Hal looked down at a note he was following in his hands.

"This is it, I think. Yah looks like it."

The others caught up and they stood around awkwardly.

"Uh, so what are we looking at?" Collin asked. After all that walking he was starting to look pale. He was breathing heavily, sucking down oxygen.

"A cure maybe. See that weird-looking purple fruit thing?"

Suddenly Rick got the strange feeling to do something insane. He was looking at the tree and had this rising feeling that something was about to happen. He felt a weird disinterested in the fruit, and instead, he began speaking to the tree.

"I don't know why I think you can help me out, but can you? Are you a magic tree of healing?"

"What?" asked Hal.

But, then he was distracted by a flash of movement. Before he, Adrian, Collin, or anyone else could even bat an eyelash, that monkey that had been trailing them flew, and he did mean flew up the tree, grabbed the fruit, and bounced off of it, dashing back into the woods.

"Why do you hate me so much? Collin asked, observing the monkey with the fruit running away. But by that point, he had vanished into the forest.

"Yo, why is that monkey messing with you?"

"I can see him, it was the guy who hit me in the first place!" Collin said.

With that, he began coughing uncontrollably.

Just then the Tree started talking.

"Explain Reason for Sudden Digital Transposition. Signature Origin Requested. Anti-Deviant Identity Requeseted"

"WHAT?" Hal basically shouted into the tree.

Collin started sounding worse and worse.

"He's in trouble, someone do something!" Hal shouted.

No one did.

So instead, Hal did.

"Ok fine I got it," Hal said.

He grabbed the book for a rainy day, for a 'last resort' and began flipping through it. There was a lot of random stuff in there,

"Nope, don't think we need a 100 foot spout of water, How About this-
Genie's Wish-Solve the Problem Not How You Want." When invoked, core of then problem solved- method and results may be not as intended."

"OK," Rich said. Core of the problem is Collin is freaking dying. I'll take anything different."

Hal put the book on the tree, pressed his fingers to the page, and focused on it like how J had showed him. Some kind of language began to spill out of his mouth.

"Is that Enochian"

"Maybe," Hal said.

The words of the spell abruptly vanished.

Suddenly some kind of digital screeching began to come out of the tree.

"That sounds like line noise," Rick said, thinking about it.

"I don't care if it's the Macarena," Hal said, watching Collin's neck look more and more restricted as he made choking sounds.

"Come on last resort," Hal said.

"

Your request for data for services exchange is granted. Subject in distress. Please confirm before 10-9-8"

"So he ain't gonna die?" Hal said to the tree, feeling insane but determined.

"Negative. He lives. Body may come later."

As the words-

"Confirm yes/no" apeared like a screen on the tree.

"Yah Ok whatever," Hal said, mashing "yes" so hard that it put a fist imprint in the tree.

"Sounds delightful," said Rick, feeling a bit numb.

"Are you insane?" asked Adrian, voice shrill. "You don't know what that will do!"

"I know Collin won't die," Hal said grimly. "J wouldn't let me down."
