Chapter 7 – A thousand things

No one's POV

"Me for dessert, hmm" Tori then smiled mischievously, "Sure I couldn't interest you in some chocolate cake instead."

Jade then leaned in and started to kiss Tori's neck for a moment, then slipped her arms around her. "Not a chance, Vega."

"Just as long as I get to have some of my favorite desert." Said Tori, with a kiss.

"Careful what you wish for Vega, because you just got it."

"Trying to scare me?"

"No." Said Jade with a kiss of her own. "Just telling you. I've got a reputation for being dangerous you know."

"I'm perfectly aware of that particular reputation. It's actually one of the reasons I fell in love with you."

"So then, you like bad girls?"

"No. I like you. And as far as dangerous goes, I can be somewhat dangerous myself."

"Honestly Vega, up to yesterday, I wouldn't have believed that. Remind me never to turn my back on you again."

Jade then stepped out of the door and grabbed a black duffle bag she had set on the ground just outside. Upon reentering the house, she closed the door and dropped her bag.

While Jade was doing that, Tori promptly slipped behind Jade's back and wrapped her arms around the Goth. Tori then moved back Jade hair and licked Jade's pale neck. "Too late."

"You are a little sneak are you. A sexy sneak, but a sneak nonetheless. Come on eat."

"Jade I have a bottle of wine in the fridge, would you get it please." Asked Tori as she pulled the food out of the bag.

"Sure."

"Where's everyone else?" Asked Jade as she headed towards the fridge.

"My mom is visiting her sister down in San Diego, my dad is working the night shift and Trina's out with her friend Molly. She won't be back until after midnight."

After pulling the bottle from the fridge, Jade closed it and returned to the table. "How convenient."

Tori smiled as she arranged the last of the Chinese food containers on the table.

"Why yes, it is."

The pair then spent a few minutes, pouring the wine and putting the food on their plates. Once done, they sat opposite each other at the table.

"So, Vega. You did give me the basics of your little plan. But I'd like to know the whole thing, from the planning stages to final preparations. Please don't leave anything out."

"It interests you that much?"

"For starters, being the object of this little venture, I have the right to know." Jade then smirked. "Plus, I'll have a better Idea what to look for next time."

"Jade, I got what I want, there won't be a next time."

"Just something, someone would say, if they wanted to put someone at ease an let their guard down. As if they were planning something." Retorted Jade, with slight hint of menace in her voice.

"Are you being Snarky or Paranoid, I'm not quite sure."

Jade smiled for a moment then started to eat, not bothering to answer the question.

Sensing that Jade wanted her to start, Tori began to tell Jade all about plan. She started with the fact that she had loved the Goth from a far and almost instantly after she had heard they broke up; Tori started the plot to win Jade for herself. Tori also mentioned her suspicions of Jades real sexual identity and feelings for her.

Tori then continued the tale, going into great length about the planning stages, including extensive research. Jade had learned that almost everything Tori said in the bedroom, was scripted ahead of time. Other parts of her conversation were scripted as well.

Jade continued to listen, rather intently, only interrupting when she had a specific question to clarify a point she didn't understand.

While proud of her plan, not to mention its success, Tori couldn't help but feel a bit self-conscious while telling it. As Jade had said earlier, the whole thing was rather creepy. Tori further concluded that the word stalkerish could be used as well.

About 2/3's of the way through dinner, Tori stopped. "Jade this is supposed to be romantic. I'm sure you'd like to hear something else, other than me plotting against you."

Jade paused for a moment as she put a forkful shrimp fried rice in her mouth. "Tori. This may not what you had in mind, but please indulge me. I am truly enjoying myself, listening to you, watching your beautiful face and hearing all these elaborate details. Do continue, please."

"You did say I wouldn't be destroyed, right?" Asked Tori, with a distinctive and rather nervous squeak to her voice."

"Only if you cheat on me. Do continue."

Tori started her story again, noting how she planned for almost every reasonable scenario that could possibly arise. She stressed, that her goal was to make Jade her girlfriend, not just a sexual conquest. Tori was proud of the fact that it was flawless. But as she was finishing up, a thought drifted through her mind.

"I didn't think of something. Lighting struck last night, we had magic. What if it doesn't strike again. What if it's different, what if it's not as good?"

Tori dismissed the thought, but not entirely, as it remained in the very back of her mind.

Finishing the last bite of her dinner Tori, still feeling self-conscious and a bit worried, looked up at Jade. "Well, you know the rest of the story. That's it."

There was an odd pause as Jade looked at her from across the table for several seconds, without saying anything.

"That was a lot of work, a lot of thought. Just for me. To be honest, I'm touched." Replied Jade with a genuine smile as she got up from the table.

"Thank you."

"Come on, let's clean-up"

As the girl's cleaned up, Tori steered the conversation towards more neutral territory, which in this case was an upcoming assignment for Sikotwitz's class.

Once they were done cleaning up, Tori said seductively. "Interested in that desert now?"

Jade smiled, refilled their glasses of wine, then placed the Bottle back in the fridge. "Of course, but let's sit down and talk for a minute."

After Taking her glass of wine, Tori sat down on the couch. Jade sat down next to her.

"Something's bugging you, Vega. Spill it. Still worried I'm going to destroy you? I'm not. You woke something powerful in me. Something that I had no idea was there." Jade then tenderly kissed Tori on the lips. "Tell me"

After looking at the floor for a moment Tori looked up at Jade. "It was just a thought. What if tonight isn't as special. What if lighting doesn't strike twice. I suppose I'm just being silly. I have this whole plan and I get all weird and nervous at the end. Just when I thought I won."

Jade took a sip of her wine, then looked into Tori's eyes. "I had almost the very same thought, just a minute ago. That I may disappoint you."

"You did?" Tori said with surprise as she took a sip of her wine.

Jade nodded. "Yes. I hate being serious, but I think it's needed here. Last night was incredible and I'm still trying to sort out all the things I'm feeling. But let's face it, we've set a pretty high bar for ourselves. But that's only if we let ourselves set the bar that high. What do you want to do right now, more than anything?"

"Make love to my girlfriend. No, my beautiful, wonderful girlfriend."

Jade grinned, got up and took Tori's hand. "So do I. Come on Tori. Let's make love. No expectations. Just you and me together."

Tori, feeling reassured and wanting to be with Jade more than ever, got up and led Jade by the hand up towards the stairs. She did take the liberty of grabbing Jade's duffle bag on the way.

As they reached the steps, Tori gushed. "So, this is caring and sensitive Jade. I like her."

Jade quickly frowned and poked Tori in the chest. "You'd better, because it's all your fault!"

"Sounds like a certain broken Goth, needs some Tori loving care." Purred Tori.

Jade quickly demurred. "Yes."

With a seductive, but welcoming smile, Tori led Jade up the stairs and into her bedroom. Upon entering Jade could see it already prepared for her arrival. The curtains were closed, there were unlit red candles all around the room and the bedspread was pulled back.

A moment later, Tori let go of Jade's hand, then dropped Jade's duffle bag on the floor. She then slipped around behind Jade and closed the door. Tori then picked up a long lighter off her dresser and begun to light the candles one by one.

"You truly we're prepared. All the way." Noted Jade quietly as she watched Tori.

Tori paused for a moment to Grin, then hit a button on the stereo. Soon the room was filled with soft romantic music.

As Tori continued to light the candles, Jade watched her in awe. All the while, she thought. "She's so beautiful. Her long silky hair, her skin, her smile, how caring she is. It was a trap, beginning to end. It's been sprung and there's no going back. But the thing is, I don't feel trapped, nor do I want to go back. I am what I am, I am where I want to be and I am where I need to be. About to make love to the most wonderful woman in the world."

Tori her task completed, walked up and softly kissed Jade. It was a kiss full of anticipation and longing.

"You got what you wanted." Said Jade Softly.

Taking her hand, Tori gently caressed Jade's face. "I just want to be your girl. Make you happy. Love you, be your lover and be loved back. And for the record I'm more than happy to be, as you put it, stuck with you forever. Offhand I'd say you got what you wanted too. You just didn't know it."

There were about a thousand things that Jade realized she could have said in response to such a heart moving statement, from tender, to snarky to the utterly sublime. However, she realized that no words, what so ever could truly express, what she felt.

Instead, she responded in the most fitting way she could. By slowly wrapping her arms around Tori, pulling her in for a long and tender kiss as she initiated lovemaking.

Just in time for Valentine's day. A bit of a fluffy chapter, and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading.
