Whether it was the shivering sensation that rocked her spine or the rushing winds of the night blasting the windows of her guest's bedroom open, Addison shot right up and almost let out a shriek. Until her senses calmed her out of a midnight terror, she took in a deep breath and slouched in her bed. What the hell was that?! That nightmare felt so real. Almost as if I were predicting something to happen...

She could envision it as if it were unfolding right in front of her. She found her friends and loved ones all gathered around on a hill just outside of Parlor Town. She had raced over to see them. But with every step she took to get closer to them, one of those loved ones would succumb to some unknown adversary. Robert Kingston faded into the shadows, followed by Dawn and Lucas. Cynthia let out a worried shriek before she too faded. Michael Kingston clutched at his heart and fell to his knees, before face planting on the hill. Matthew was being rag-dolled by some unseen force before he lie lifeless beside Michael. Cameron Kingston seemed to have been struck by some sort of dark force, her mouth foaming a bit before she too fell. Holly and Tommy were flailed about in the wind before being sucked into a dark vortex in the skies above her.

When Addison finally reached the hill, she called out to Ryan, who looked deathly pale. He turned back at her and let out a cry before his eyes turned blood red and he began to laugh at her in Mewtwo's voice.

"Do you honestly think that you're safe from me, Miss Tenton?! That you can protect the ones you love from my will?!"

It was at Mewtwo's mocking that Addison felt the chill of the night air in her room. She and her mother were almost fully moved into their home in Parlor Town, but they needed a few more nights in Kingston Castle before their home was fully ready to move into. The one fortunate thing about having one of these strange and unexplainable nightmares was that she could float the ideas by Michael or Julia. She did not know how late it was, but she figured she could not just sit around and hope for things to be okay. She collected herself, got out of bed and prepared to head over to the Lord and Lady's chambers. But as she prepared to whistle for Zero or Shaymin to follow her, she paused when she noticed Galatea was out of her Poké Ball and sitting in a forlorn and meditative state.

"What is it?" Addison asked worriedly.

I sense a darkness approaching Arcana. And it's intent is cruel and vicious.

"Is it Mewtwo?!" If that were the case, then Michael and Julia needed to be warned.

But Galatea shook her head. It is and it is not. It's difficult to explain. But I can feel this power gathering on the outskirts of Arcana. I do not know what this evil seeks to accomplish, but I expect it will reach it's goals if we do not act.

"How can we prevent what we don't know?" Addison inquired. She grunted and waved off the question. "Forget it. I need to speak to Michael and Julia." She bolted her way out the door, with a curious Shaymin and Zero following her. She skidded to a stop when she also noticed Galatea floating along with her. The quartet of Pokémon and their trainers skittered about the lifeless halls of Kingston Castle in search of Michael and Julia's room. But before they could even reach those chambers, they came to a stop outside the domain of Countess Rosemary. And to Addison's surprise, the fires were still blazing and causing light to appear through the cracks in the door.

Do you believe that this Countess can alleviate our concerns? Galatea inquired.

Addison shrugged. "Alleviate, or help us identify them." She nervously knocked on the door. "Excuse me, Countess. May I come in?" When she got no response, Addison rattled on the door again. "Countess Rosemary? It's Addison Tenton. Deidre's daughter. Can I come in?" Now worried for the elderly woman's wellbeing, Addison pushed the doors open. She looked on in horror as Rosemary's body was twisted up like a pretzel in the air above her. She was hovering throughout the room as if she were but a specter. And her mouth uttered the same phrase over and over again.

"Tears shall be shed twice when two stars blink out!"

"Countess!" Addison cried out. "COUNTESS!"

Rosemary finally fell out of her trance and her body gently made it's way down towards the sofa she usually sat on. She shuddered and shook as the vision she had endured came to an end. She coughed loudly and with great vigor before turning to properly address Addison. "Ah, Miss Tenton. What brings you in my chambers at this hour of the night?"

Addison, unable to answer the question, simply stared blankly at the Countess. "What on earth was that?"

Rosemary sighed. "I had a vision. A dark vision. One of the grimmest sights I have seen in almost twenty years." She did her best to look prim and proper for her guest, but Addison could tell that the elderly woman was shaken by what she had seen.

"Do you...usually go through that?"

"Not to that degree" the Countess confessed. "But it would seem that I have grossly overestimated my own abilities." She lowered her head in shame and worry. "I fear that I might be terribly wrong about the interpretation of one of the Prophecies. If I am, this night could cost us more than just another day's march towards oblivion. It could cost us...everything."

Addison gulped. "Well, it's a good thing that it was only a vision, right? I mean, no one can see into the future with complete accuracy, right?"

Rosemary chuckled politely, though she still bore a deep look of fear in her eyes. "I suppose that is accurate. But it's worrisome for someone like me who has been normally on point about these sorts of things." She shook her head. "But, enough about my worries. They aren't meant to trouble a child like you. Now tell me, Addison. What troubles you on this dark night?"

The fair maiden took a moment to laugh herself. "I wish I knew, for sure. So much of my world and how I look at it has changed since we set out from Parlor Town. It feels like it was ten years ago. Back then, the only worries I had were about being the Queen of Arcana and winnings the contests. But now, with Mewtwo and my father and all that's been going on, I'm afraid we'll never get to have just normal lives again."

"Such is life's cruel nature. It constantly changes and we must therefore adapt to whatever comes at us. If we do not, we fall by the wayside. Fears of the unknown are perfectly natural, my dear. One must simply muster the courage to stand up to the unknown with confidence in themselves, their Pokémon and their situation. A lesson I wish more people took seriously when I tell them."

"What about fears of the known?" Addison sheepishly asked.

Rosemary cocked her head. "I don't follow. Is this some term of slang?"

"Oh, no. Countess, I-I know this is going to sound silly, with all that's been going on, but I think I'm afraid of things that I...you know...see. It's a little hard to explain with me being so tired and all, but I can see things. Ever since I became friends with my Gardevoir, it feels like my senses and my worldview have been heightened to levels I didn't even think were possible. I...I saw one of Claude's henchman in a pool of his own blood, a few moments before Michael and the others found Archer dead in Titanio City. Then, Michael said that I told him I could see Claude's death coming before I fainted. It must have been just me being too reliant on Galatea to see things, but I think I taxed myself in those regards. That's why I've been reluctant to tap so much into her power since."

Rosemary did not respond. She simply stared at the girl with a curious and studious look. Her long thin fingers stroked her weathered and dry face as she listened to the girl explain her situation to her. When Addison realized she did not mean to interrupt her, she continued.

"Michael told me, a long time ago, that some people have a rare gift to be able to understand their Pokémon. Not just from a trainer and Pokémon perspective. But when I communicate with Galatea, I can understand and hear her thoughts in my head. Michael said it's the same with him and Celebi and it used to be with him and his Espeon. And Ryan has a strong connection with his Gallade. It's kind of why he and I have become even closer than we used to be. Our Pokémon love each other and so do we. But when I try to learn more about this gift, all the research points to us just being psychic. I'll get things about those twins in the Hoenn Region, or Sabrina in Saffron City. I can't agree that we're psychic. I mean, our Pokémon are. But can we be? I can't move things with my mind or see into the future without Galatea's help. So, what would you call it?"

The Countess leaned heavily on her scepter, which the gem atop it glowed a strange and prismatic light, shining several colors at once. "Tell me, my child. What kind of feeling do you have when you are in link with your Pokémon?"

Addison thought for a moment before answering. "Like...like we can accomplish and learn anything we set our mind to. I've seen myself do things I couldn't possibly do without her."

"Like what?"

"Not only have I had visions" she recalled, "but I used Galatea's powers to influence someone's mind, before. There was a big brutish guard we encountered before the Battle of Titanio City, but we simply convinced him to take a vacation and leave his post."

"And how did this make you feel?"

Addison began to grow a bit nervous. Was she being cross-examined here? "Um, it didn't make me feel very proud to do, but-"

"You're not in trouble, Addison" the Countess promised her. "I've just...I've never heard of this kind of a connection before. I know of Michael's to both Icarus and Celebi, but I am surprised that someone like you also has these connections. Even my nephew cannot influence people's minds. Or, perhaps he fears what having that kind of power could do for him, having already suffered through the Crimson Fury for most of his life." The elderly sage closed her eyes and looked as if she were gazing deep into the cosmos. "You too, were afflicted by the Crimson Fury, correct?"

Addison nodded sadly. "That scientist Cassius gave me the brand. But I haven't felt it since I had it removed. Why would I not feel it, but Ryan and Michael do?"

"That is one of the thoughts that has vexed me the last few days" Rosemary admitted. "There is still much we need to know about the Fury. I fear we could have known more had Balthazar Aced not died prematurely. My brother would not speak of their work during it and swore himself to silence after his death. With those two gone, we can only guess what they had discovered." She took in a deep breath, the candles flickering around her and Addison as if a gust of wind was throughout the room. "Ryan and Michael are rarities. To have the Fury inside of them is one thing, but to have access to it without the Crimson Moon is fascinating. It gives them power, ferocity and ruthlessness. Michael has learned to conquer his fears, though I fear it is too late for Ryan to tame his own."

Addison smiled and shook her head. "I could not disagree more. Ryan's strong. He may not have the experience Michael does, but he can beat it. He'll overcome it. And if he doesn't, I'll be right there to help him the way Julia was for Michael."

Rosemary could not help but grin. "I see. Your devotion to the boy is admirable. The connection between you two is...remarkably powerful." The candles finally stopped flickering as Rosemary opened her eyes to continue the conversation. "Now, about these visions you've been having. Are they vivid? Do they flow and have no concrete merit to them? Or are they more like lucid dreams? Things you see that might symbolize what is to come?"

"Definitely the second one" the girl answered. "At least I hope. When I'm awake, what I see seems to play out to perfection. But when I sleep, it feels real, but I don't think that is how things will unfold. If it does, I'd be surprised to see so many people fall like I did."

"Tell me about this dream of yours."

Addison looked up towards the ceiling. "There isn't much to tell."

"Then why did it frighten you so?"

"Because I've seen Mewtwo do these sorts of things before. Use people like puppets to harm others. I was one of them. And he used Michael to fight against us, too. I never want to relive that experience again."

"That monster will do as he bids and use whatever powers he deems necessary" Rosemary warned. "Expect to see it once more."

Addison nodded. "Okay. Well, I saw everyone on a hill outside of Parlor Town. I call out to them, but no one answers. I try to run for them, but I feel like I'm moving in slow motion. With every step I take, one of the people on the hill either disappears or...or they die. Ryan and Matthew's father is the first. Others fall and fade, with Cameron looking like she was struck by lightning and Tommy and Holly looking like they were being throttled by something. Michael looks like he had a heart attack. And when I make it to Ryan, Mewtwo takes over him and mocks me before he attacks and I wake up." She looked back down to make eye contact with the Countess. "What does it mean? Is Mewtwo going to attack us? And is the darkness that Galatea senses him?"

Rosemary sighed. "Addison, my dear. You are a smart and charming young woman. But there are some evils in the world you cannot fully comprehend."

"I can't let this vision come to pass, Countess."

"Let? My child, there is no power on earth that can prevent everything from coming to pass. It is why I warn everyone against trying to avoid terrible fates. Those running from devastation often find it on the routes they take to avoid it." Her eyes narrowed as the candles began to flicker once more. "There is a familiar evil coming to Arcana. Whether it's will can be quashed is not yet clear to me."

"But I have to stop this from-"

"Visions are not always concrete" the Countess spoke quickly. "They can sometimes be warnings, fears or shadows of the truth echoing throughout your mind. What matters is that you do not live in fear of what you cannot control, but instead finding ways to work with it. Something I believe you are very adept at, Miss Tenton."

"Me?"

"I have been keeping a careful watch over my nephew and his travels. I have seen things he has and of those around him. You have done many incredible things yourself, Miss Tenton. I recall you were the one that saved the day in the Trickton Library, fending off that ghost who haunted the halls. I also have heard of your exploits on Mirage Island. Braving the very depths of darkness to rescue Michael and Ryan from Mewtwo's grasp. And now that I see the maiden you will become in adulthood, I can tell you have the power to work with any situation that comes your way. Be it good or horrific." She rose from the sofa. "I'm afraid it's getting rather late. And that vision drained me of my energy. If you do not mind, Miss Tenton, I must be going to bed."

Addison rose and bowed respectfully to the Countess. "Thank you, Countess. For helping me see straight. And for listening to me."

"No trouble at all, Addison" the Countess replied. She wore a strangely sad smile on her face. "I feel as if we will both be conversing like this again in the near future."

Despite being put off by the words she used, Addison nodded and exited Rosemary's chambers. Her Pokémon, who had all waited outside for her, scrambled up around her, curiously trying to uncover what went on in the room. Shaymin and Galatea seemed to be deep in conversation, while Zero was trying to bite at Addison's night gown. She simply cradled the Rockruff in her arms and took the rest of her group with her to bed. Shaymin floated around her head and did his best not to make any noises. Galatea, was deep in thought.

"Still having those dark thoughts?" Addison asked her closest compatriot.

I keep trying to look deeper into the future, my friend. But, anything beyond this night goes blank. It's almost as if a part of my power is just...not working properly. But how can that be?

"You felt the same thing on Mirage Island, remember?"

I suppose. But this feels different.

"Maybe we're all just tired" Addison responded optimistically. "Let's get some rest and we'll go over things in the morning." Though as they wound the halls of Kingston Caslte to make it back to her guest room, Addison could not help but shudder at some of the words Countess Rosemary had said to her and even more at how interested in her the mystical woman was. Did she mean to incorporate her into the White Guardians? Or was there more to this picture than even she could figure out?

You are a smart and charming young woman. But there are some evils in the world you cannot fully comprehend.

Ryan? Ryan? Come on, please wake up!

Ryan let out a loud and fatigued yawn into the night air, his eyes heavy from sleep that was now being rudely interrupted by whoever was calling to him. He rubbed his eyes and stretched his body out. "What? Who? Huh?"

Ryan?! Please tell me you're awake for this.

Ryan scowled. He knew that voice. It was not one he wanted to hear. "No. Not for you, at least. Good night!" Ryan went to rest his head onto his sleeping bag, but knew that she would not give him any qualm. He tossed and turned, doing his best to ignore her pleas.

Ryan! Please! You have to listen to me! The fate of the whole world-

"I did listen to you" Ryan snapped. "Once before, And it almost cost me everything!"

I know what I did to you was wrong. I'm not trying to win you over or make you love me. I know that ship sailed. But it's because of how I feel about you that I have to warn you! Please, just listen to me!

Fed up with Avery's pleas, Ryan sat back up and grumbled to himself. "This is ridiculous. Okay. What is it?"

Listen to me, Ryan. Mewtwo wants to kill you.

"What else is new?" Ryan yawned.

You don't understand, Ryan. He's afraid of you. He thinks you're-well, we all think you're the White Mage. The hero who is destined to oppose him. He fears it, Courtney fears it, they all do. And we here on the island are rooting for you to be the one to do it. But Mewtwo is not taking any chances. Before he comes to Arcana to finish his plans, he wants to remove you from the equation. Not as a sleeping minion. He wants you to die!

"Mewtwo hasn't been able to stop me before. What makes him think he can do it now?"

You're not taking this seriously, Ryan! Do you honestly think that Mewtwo doesn't know you? That he isn't keeping an eye on you, even from all the way here on Mirage Island? He knows you. He's going to exploit your weaknesses the same ways he did before. He used me to...oh, who am I kidding. I let him use me to get to you. But he also tried to use Addison and Michael to get to you before. Do you not think he won't try that again? What if he goes after your sister? Or your parents?! He knows you will go in after whoever they want to use and they'll snare you in.

Ryan shook his head. "And if he succeeds?"

You are the White Mage! I'm sure of it. And if he takes you out, then Arcana has no chance of stopping him. Not even Michael and Cynthia combined could stop him. He'll wipe out mankind and begin his own twisted plans. Now, there isn't much more we can do for you, but we're trying our hardest to find a way to send some help your way. Just...just promise me you'll take what I say seriously? Not just for me. But for Addison, too?

"Addison?"

I...I know what you did for her. I can't say I'm surprised. You two really were made for each other. And if you listen to what I say, you two will make it to the end of this and fulfill your promises. Maybe even get married. But if Hunter or whoever gets you-

Ryan finally calmed himself. "Avery. Thank you. I know how much faith you've put in me, and I'm flattered, quite frankly. But I can take care of myself. Mewtwo can plot and scheme all he wants. I'm not afraid of him or what he can do. I will find a way to stop him if I am this White Mage. And if I'm not, I can help whoever is to stop him some other way."

I guess I can't convince you, then?

Ryan sighed to himself. "What kind of chosen hero can I be if I wilt away at the first sign of trouble?"

That's what I love about you. And hate at the same time. Just...just promise me you'll be careful. If Mewtwo gets his way, I don't think anyone in the world is left to stop him.

"I promise I will be careful" Ryan said glumly. "Take care of yourself."

"Who the hell are you talking to?" a voice snapped outside of his tent. Ryan was startled at the sound of Matthew's voice. His brother unzipped his tent and looked at him, a combination of frustration and worry on his face.

"What's it to you?" Ryan defiantly growled. "Do yourself a favor and leave me alone!"

"I would like nothing more than to leave you in here talking to imaginary friends" Matthew retorted, "but I thought you'd want to know that we're short a head."

Ryan's face went pale. "Short a head?"

"Kayleigh is missing" Matthew whispered. "Mom and Dad must have left their tent open and she's out somewhere on the island. And do you seriously think a toddler can't find trouble for herself?"

Ryan rose out of his sleeping bag and attached his belt to his pants. He looked at the Poké Balls he had on him and gently lowered the one containing his Mudkip back into his sleeping bag. He would roll with just Achilles. "No. But I'm more worried about her wellbeing than if she finds trouble. Let's go find her." The two brothers were out of the tent and on their feet in seconds. Ryan looked around the campground, hoping to find some trace or scope of where their little sister could have gone. "No sign of her anywhere near the camp."

"I can see that, moron!" Matthew snarled. "Check by the water. I'll look over by the rocks."

Ryan did his best to avoid slugging his brother there and then and ran towards the water that surrounded Waypoint Island. To his alarm, the waters were getting choppier and more dangerous. In fact, the cold and blistering waves splashed him in the face as Cora used to spit at him out of affection. He gulped nervously and raced along the shoreline, hoping against hope that she would just pop out of nowhere and scare him. But after scanning the entire area she could have gone, he found no trace of her. He knew if he screamed for her, his parents would wake up and have a conniption. He looked back towards the deeper part of the island. The only place left that she could have gone to explore was inside the deep caverns. Ryan scrambled up towards the dark and foreboding cave. It did not surprise him that Matthew was following him, his own search in vain.

"Anything could have happened to her in there" Matthew said worriedly. "I am not letting her out of my sight the rest of this stupid trip!"

"Let's just find her before we decide how she gets punished!" Ryan argued. The duo walked blindly into the pitch-black cave. Both brothers used their arms to feel around the tunnel they were in and make sure nothing went without their knowledge. A few gusts of wind and rushing sounds of water told them where the holes were. Though both would take looks inside them, none of the crevices were large enough for her to have fallen into.

The winds began to whip outside, with both boys knowing all too well the coming storm that would be hitting Waypoint Island by dawn. Matthew seethed while they treaded into the darkness. "This is all Dad's fault! If he hadn't wanted us to go on this stupid trip in the first place-" He stopped himself when they came across a wide and open cavern. A cove-like den that had a deep and dark pool of water at it's heart, with the only source of light being the moon as it hung over them. But even that light was dim and fading as the clouds began to loom around them.

Ryan climbed a rock face to get a better view of the cavern, nearly losing his footing as a loose rock fell down and clanged about in the cavern as if a bomb had exploded around them. He squeezed his eyes shut, hoping not to have caused anything. But when the coast was clear, he crawled up the cliff. He peered out all around the dark and ominous domain, finally spotting their little sister prancing about on the other side of the cove. "Kayleigh!" Ryan called out. But she did not respond.

"You see her?" Matthew asked.

"She's on the other side of the water!"

Matthew raced along as Ryan slid down a bumpy and strangely scaled rockface until he landed on the ground and hurried towards the girl. Kayleigh did not acknowledge either of her brothers, instead continuing to dance about and laugh as if she were at the Jon and Annie's wedding. Before he could get to her, Matthew approached her side and scooped her up into his arms.

"What is the matter with-huh?"

Ryan was at Matthew's side an instant later. Kayleigh's eyes were shut. Was the girl sleepwalking? "This was all because of sleepwalking?"

Matthew shook his head and pointed towards a strange aura around the little girl's head. "Look at this. She's not doing this of her own free will. She's being controlled."

"Controlled? By what?" Ryan's eyes began to widen as Avery's words echoed in his head.

What if he goes after your sister? Or your parents?! He knows you will go in after whoever they want to use and they'll snare you in.

"I don't know" Matthew replied. "But we're getting her out of here before-" A shadow flew over the duo. Matthew moved for his belt and called out his Noivern, while Ryan sent out Achilles to seek out what was endangering them. "Noivern! Can you locate what it is?"

"Achilles, you help her" Ryan told his friend.

The Gallade closed his eyes and concentrated, but his eyes immediately opened and he brought out his arms into a fierce fighting position. The Noivern descended towards her trainer and growled a warning growl. Ryan was about to ask what was wrong, but Achilles hushed him. Do not make any sudden movements. This is a den of monsters.

"Monsters?" Ryan asked.

Matthew reached for his Poké Gear and activated the flashlight. He immediately shut it off when he realized what was surrounding them. "This is a den of Gyarados" he whispered worriedly. "We need to slowly and quietly get out of here before they wake up. Come on." He clutched Kayleigh to him and the boys slowly tried to make their way out of the cavern the way they came in.

Ryan dared a look back. Through the darkest depths, he thought he could spot an entire swarm of the terrifying and dangerous Water Pokémon surrounding the entire cavern. Somehow, Kayleigh's prancing had gone completely unnoticed. But he was not willing to risk their luck at the moment. He simply followed his brother and sister as they tried to find their way back out of the cavern to warn their parents.

{}

From high above the cavern, atop the tallest cliff that adorned Waypoint Island, Hunter looked down as his quarry began to scramble their way out of the cave. A shadowy Gengar floated nearby, snickering as he returned to his trainer after using his Hypnosis and Nightmare powers to snare the toddler Kayleigh Kingston into being his bait. Both Matthew and Ryan took the bait easily and now, it was Hunter's chance to reel his prey in.

Though he would never admit it to anyone but himself, this was the part of the hunt that he enjoyed the most. After all, the trap itself only had a decent chance to be perfect and without flaw. He had the bait in place, the means with which to carry out his will and even the desire to once and for all time capture his destiny in the Six Mythical Pokemon. So what if a few heads had to roll for his scheme to work? He'd killed before. And if he had to, he'd do it again.

"You did your job, Gengar. Now, let me do mine." He reached into his pocket and took out three particular devices. All three were essential for a poacher like him to have. One was a light grenade. Though it would seem as though it would be a lighter weight grenade than usual, it instead released explosions of light and very reserved bursts of flames. The second was a smoke grenade, meant to confuse and disorient his prey. And the third, was a genuine and destructive grenade. This would trap the trio inside for their fate. He looked down, almost pityingly at the boys and their little sister, completely unaware that they were all about to die. "Sorry kids. But if I have to choose between you and my desires, you have to understand why I pick me, right?" He tossed all three at different places in the cave and stood back and waited for them. Even if by some random chance they escaped the den of nightmares he had in store for them, they would be flying right into the biggest storm the Forces of Nature had mustered in twenty years.

He looked up towards the skies, as a storm vortex began to surge around the island. He snickered to himself. "Even Mewtwo couldn't have done better."

{}

Ryan, Matthew and the still locked in her dreams Kayleigh scampered their way out of the cave of Gyarados, until the Noivern let out a signal to the group, warning them of what had just happened. Ryan looked back and spotted in horror as a small device sparked a loud flare in the cavern. The entire dark pit illuminated in a reddish glow, reminding Ryan of the Crimson Moon. It didn't take long for the raging Pokémon to awaken and let out horrifying roars that shook the cavern. The trio scrambled their way towards the exit, but another device fell. Matthew, knowing all too well what it was, grabbed Ryan and clung to his sister tightly as the ground in front of them gave way to a colossal explosion. The three were flung back down towards the water, with Matthew and Kayleigh falling in and Ryan slamming hard on the ground. He pushed himself back up and pulled Matthew and the now wakened and petrified Kayleigh out of the water.

"BROBOO!" Kayleigh cried out.

"We got you, sweetie" Ryan assured his sister.

One of the Gyarados, spotting the trio they suspected of waking them, roared angrily and spat a volley of Dragon Rage at them. The trio were scattered by the blast, with Ryan once more landing hard and twisting his ankle as he fell. He tried in vain to push himself onto his weakened limb, before another device fell beside him. Ryan tried to crawl out of the way, but a stream of smoke shot into his face. He tried desperately not to inhale the smoke, but soon it penetrated his will and began to make him choke violently.

"Mmm-Matt! Kay-cough-KAYLEIGH!" He crawled away from the smoke and tried to grab a hold of the wall to push himself up to his legs, but was instead found by Achilles. His Pokémon helped him to his feet and then quickly returned to fighting the first Gyarados. Ryan looked above them and saw his brother's Noivern screeching loudly, unable to find her trainer in the explosions or the smoke. "We have to get to that Noivern. She can-cough-she can get-cough-us out of here!" Ryan could feel himself choking and slumped against the cavern wall.

Achilles, too fixated on protecting his trainer, simply kept fighting off the Gyarados as a few more began to dive into the water out of fear, while others let out snarls to join in the fighting.

Ryan desperately tried to put weight on his ankle, barely able to stand up without the support of the wall. He clung to the wall desperately and looked around for his brother or Kayleigh. He coughed once more before falling to his knees. Guys?! Where are you?!

{}

Robert and Alison Kingston shot out of their tent the moment they realized their precious daughter wasn't sleeping beside them. Alison, to her horror, saw the tents of her sons being blown away in the wickedly strong winds. And neither of them were in them. She tried to get her bearings, but an intense bolt of lightning and a ear-splitting clap of thunder had her stagger before falling to the ground. Robert instantly pulled her back up, himself trying to shield them from the winds and the rains, which now began to pour as if a monsoon was hitting.

Robert took the lone Poké Ball he had left with him and looked to his wife. "Aly, get to the boat and call in onto the KERN. We've got to activate it in emergency!"

"I'm not leaving you, Robbie!" she declared.

Robert took his wife into his arms. "YOU HAVE TO!" The ground was shaking beneath them. Robert looked behind them in horror and saw an intense rush of smoke coming from inside the cavern. He looked worriedly to his wife. "We may not be able to do this alone! Get onto the KERN and get us some help! Please! Our kids are counting on us!"

Alison nodded worriedly, before pecking her husband on the cheek. Not even taking a moment to collect any of their belongings, she raced onto the boat as her husband disappeared into the chaos inside of the cavern. She pulled herself over and onto the port side of the boat. Once there, she sprinted all the way up to her husband's radio and called in the alarm.

"This is Alison Kingston with a Code ICE Emergency" she cried out. "Attention! This is Alison Kingston with a Code ICE Emergency from Waypoint Island. There is an emergency situation here on the Waypoint Island! All Kingstons, please respond! We need your help!" She lowered the radio in worry, her eyes darting back towards the cavern as the stormy waters rocked the boat wildly. She clung to the walls, her heart full of dread.
