Chapter 16 - The Sorting
The First years walked away from the dock up the first year's steps to the side of the great hall where they see Minerva McGonagall at the top.
"Greeting First year students your about to enter
The Great Hall where we are going to sort you into the 4 great houses of Hogwarts, this will be done by calling you names,
and you will come up and I will put the sorting hat on you, and he will decide what house you will be in. Now get in an orderly line and follow me."
"I have a few starts of term notices I wish to announce. The first years please note that the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch," shows a ragged old man, called Mr. Argus Filch, with his cat with red eyes, called Mrs. Norris," has asked me to remind you that the 3rd floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you." Said Albus, He sits back down.
The group of first years huddled near the door wile Minerva walked to the front and grabbed a list and faced the room and placed an old dirty hat one the on a stool. He woke up and started singing the following song.
Hogwarts, Hogwarts,
Hoggy Warty Hogwarts
Teach us something, plase,
Whether we be old and bald
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling
With some interesting stuff,
For now they are bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we have forgot,
Just do your best, we will do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot.
"First years please come up and sit on the stool when you name is said." Said Minerva.
Several names were listed then, "Potter, Harry" Said Minerva the hole room went silent wile wondering where he came from was, he the real one. Harry walked up to the front and sat down on the stool and she placed the hat on his head,
and he heard a voice. 'So there a lot of petechial you could have if you were in Slytherin.' Said the Hat in Harry head.
'No, I must be in Gryffindor.' Through Harry.
'But the petechial growth and strength if you were in Slytherin.' Said the hat in harry head again.
'NO, I will be in Gryffindor those cute red heads are there Gryffindor so will I and so will my brothers.' Through Harry.
'Strength and bravery in here to so it will be…'
changing from talking in Harry head to outload.
"Gryffindor it will be for Harry Potter."
Then the Weasleys looked surprised, as did Ron and Rob.
The Gryffindor table exploded with celebration.
Then there was said, "WE HAVE POTTER, WE HAVE POTTER."
"Potter, Lewis." Said Minerva.
Lewis walked up then saw Snapes face and froze,
after a few minutes he started backing away keeping his eyes on Snape. "No way."
"What is it." Asked Minerva.
He sat down but keeping an eye on Snape,
'So, like your twin there a lot of petechial you could have if you were in Slytherin.' Said the Hat.
'NO, I will be in Gryffindor with my twin and the nice red heads. Think it would be safe for us there in Gryffindor so will I and so will my brothers.' Through Harry.
'Another strong Potter mind the fourth your mom and dad where just as strong of well, but I am telling you something you already know.'
'They were muggles. Think you have us confused.'
'So, to …' And the hat stops talking in his mine and yells to the room again, "Gryffindor with this Potter to."
said, "We got both Potters. We got both Potters."
Lewis went and sat beside Harry and the Weasleys.
"Weasley, Robert." "Gryffindor."
Several more names listed till, "Weasley, Ronald," Said Minerva. Ron walked up and sat down, and she put the hat on his head. The hat started talking in his head.
'Another Weasley, so many Weasley sits under me and one more to go…' And again, the hat stops talking in his mine and yells to the room.
"Another Weasley to add to the Gryffindor House Weasley collection." He walks to the Gryffindor table and joins the Potter Twins. Then she finishes List of names.
"Welcome!" he said. "Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Let the feast...begin." And the food appeared.
"I had no doubt that all four of us would end up together."
Said Lewis. "Hi, Percy, I am guessing it is not normal for people to take this munch interest in a first years right,
especially Mugleborn? Harry that crazy ass hat,
said our parent went here, what do muggles learn here?"
A ghost appeared behind Percy.
"A new generation of Potters." Said Nick.
"You mean first generation of." Said Lewis.
"No, you look like them." Said Sit Nicholas.
"You two must be their sons. Potters."
"Who." Said Lewis and Harry.
"How do you know our last name, you just enter the room."
Said Lewis, "We are Mud… I mean Mugleborn."
"Twins you're not Mugleborn." Said Percy.
"Sure, Harry did you know we are centaurs.
Having a tail and four legs and a nice chestnut main."
Said Lewis. "Jump up Percy, I give you a ride."
"Yaa we can give a nice ride." Said Harry.
"You are you parents are Lilly and James Potter." Said Percy.
Lewis looked at him like he was nuts. Then he started thinking with each other then said, "Your mistaken, but you stay,
we are moving." They got up and moved away quickly.
Then Percy said, "Follow them."
Ron and Rob followed them to the other end of the table,
Ron asked, "Can we join you two?"
"As long as you don't spew that crap, coming from that mouth of your brother." Said Harry.
"Famous indeed. Before we were homeless, where we are famous as a punching bag or kick boxing target,
or something like that." Said Lewis. "We would rather hear more about you two."
Then two Hufflepuff walked up and asked, "Can we shake
your hands?" They shook hands.
Lewis just looked at him, "Harry at least Percy did say that seems to be true. Not all Wizards hate Mugleborn,
like we feared."
"That boy said we be beat here, it seems he was wrong,
that is good." Said Harry.
"Who said you be beaten?" Asked Cedric.
"The new Slytherin and his dad." Said Harry.
"Draco Malfoy." Said Lewis. "He called us what we been told is a bad word, and said the pure bloods would beat us.
So glad that not true."
"What did he call you." Asked Cedric.
"Is Mudblood really bad?" Asked Lewis.
"Yes, it is, don't use it, will get you in trouble.
Still glad to meet you, but maybe the famous Harry and Lewis Potters went to a different school, but they would be your age.
They were born in 1980." Said Cedric.
"Sit with us, what did these Famous Potters do?" Asked Lewis.
"We are a Hufflepuffs, you Gryffindor." Said Cedric.
"Is there a rule agent the different houses becoming friends?"
Asked Lewis, "What are you two handsome chaps named.
Think we should call you something."
"I am Cedric this is my John. He, my boyfriend.
No rule agent the different houses, because friends."
Said Cedric.
"Good, then good we get to eat with some of the most handsome boys in school after the cute twin, Ron and Rob I mean."
Said Lewis.
They sat down and started eating. "So, what did these other Potters do, that we are mistaken for." Asked Lewis.
"The First Wizarding War was between Dumbledore's Order of the Phenix and Voldemort's Death Eaters.
There were lots of good people lost, including twin brothers of Molly Weasley, Robert and Ronald Weasley.
The war ended because of what two babies did.
Harry and James Potter. He tried to kill one of them,
after killing their parents Lilly and James Potter."
"How where they murdered because it sounds like they were murdered not killed." Asked Lewis.
"The killing curse." Said Cedric. "It is the only green curse."
Lewis closed his eyes for a few seconds and Harry quickly followed, then there was a visible cringe.
"Harry did you just see that?" Asked Lewis.
"Yes." Said Harry.
"That was horrible." Said Lewis. They were both crying now.
"What did you two just see?" Asked Ron.
"We saw parts of that before as a nightmare but now we know it is a repressed memory now." Said Harry.
"We saw a lady get murdered, then a man showed up,
and then he looked like he was going to make a try to kill me to."
Said Lewis, "Then left." Now they were both just sitting there.
"Are you going be, ok?" Asked Ron.
"Stay with us Ron, we like you two." Said Lewis.
"You two Rob." Said Harry.
"Guess this means we must apologize to Percy." Said Lewis.
"Hope he will accept it."
"He will." Said Percy.
"You will?" Asked Lewis.
"Yes, I will." Said Percy.
"We are not use to people being nice to us." Said Lewis.
Then hugged him, then realized what he did and moved
away quickly, "Sorry Percy, Probably should not have done that."
"Your fine Lewis, in fact if you want to, you can be my little brothers like these two." Said Percy.
"Sure, aside from my mirror never have someone voluntarily associate them self with us." Said Harry.
"Usually, it is more beating us then hugging us." Said Lewis.
Albus walked up and said, "Came with me, Lewis and Harry."
Lewis looked at Percy but did not move.
He pulled on Percy arm, he bent down and Lewis whispered in his ear, "Only if you Weasley come with us.
We like you guys and that not easy for us, to like people.
But you said you wanted us as your new little brothers.
Get us away from this man." Said Lewis.
Percy whispered into Ron ear, "Go get Fred and George quickly."
A Few minutes later Ron was now next to Lewis,
and Fred and George where there. "Keep us safe big brothers."
"Lewis would you be more willing to answer if they came?"
Asked Albus.
Then Lewis looked at Percy, like he already put Percy in charge.
"He already asked that of me, we want to come he our new brothers." Said Percy. "He is now a Weasley, I will deal with Dad and Mom."
The 5 Weasley and 2 Potters followed them into Albus office,
then he saw a new man and the lady form the station.
Lewis was once again behind Percy and Harry was next to him.
He was once again looking to Percy for guidance.
He looked at Lewis and said, "There nice, there my Mom
and Dad. I have made promises already, we want them adopted as our new brothers. Not taking no as an answer."
"We want to know something first." Asked Arthur.
"Why are you two so bruised."
"And I want to know what with you eyes Lewis.
The Emerald one looks normal, but what with the ruby and emerald eye mixture." Asked Percy.
"The foster family we were with hated us.
They had rules about everything, especial food." Said Lewis.
"One night I snuck down and stole food, because we were hungry. It was apparently Dudley's he told on us.
He come in our room, grabbed me by the arm and pulled me out.
When he did so he pulled the bone out of the socket.
He then asked about the food, I finally told him,
but that was after an hour of him hitting me,
but one of the times he hit my eyes."
"The red is not supposed to be there, it is blood from where it healed. I can only see out of one eye. That was four years ago,
before we ran off."
"You became homeless." Asked Molly.
"You took full blame for that?" Said Harry.
"Yes, did not want him to hurt you and think he liked hitting me more anyway. I was happy when they did not touch you."
Said Lewis, "After all in that house, you where my favorite."
"So, they beat you two there?" Asked Percy.
"They felt we caused trouble somehow, so yes often.
Even that fat hog of a son was allowed to beat on us.
Then at school, he give the teacher permission to."
Said Lewis. "Ms. Weasley did you make that corned beef?"
"Yes, who gave you there sandwich? That was nice of them."
Said Molly. "Fred and George that was nice."
"It was Ron and Rob." Said Lewis.
"Ron, you did not get corned beef." Said Molly.
"Gave you a ham sandwich."
"No, it was corned beef and cabbage." Said Ron.
"And I hate corned beef."
"And we enjoyed it." Said Harry.
"Best meal we ever had." Said Lewis. "Don't suppose you have another. Think that a no. And Ron and Rob did eat, some of that strange food off the cart, according to Percy we had enough gold for it somehow. Did not look like munch."
"They had 10 gallons each." Said Percy.
"I don't." Said Molly. "But the food in there better then
what I make."
Lewis look at Harry, Harry then said, "Nope."
"But we don't eat munch either." Said Lewis.
"What do you know about you Parents?" Asked Molly.
"As far as we know there muggles, when this boy reacted to learning what we where he used, Percy said was very bad word, for Mugleborn." Said Lewis, "So we figured all Purebloods would hate us making us outcasts again."
"But we also figured leaving here meant a roof and walls and getting food more than once a week or bottle of broth."
Said Harry. "Glad that Draco creep was wrong,
our new big brother stood up for us and through him
out of the compartment."
"Percy we are tired, can you show where first year are supposed to sleep." Said Lewis.
"Lewis and Harry, your now ours, we will get the paper work done to adopt you." Said Arthur. "So, you now
going be Weasleys."
"So let us know when we can be Lewis and Harry Weasley."
Said Lewis, "To think family who does not hate us.
And guessing a room, with walls and a roof, instead of a cave,
but what do we need to do."
"Nothing we will." Said Arthur.
"Really." Said the twins and youngest Weasleys Twins.
"Before you do Percy, bring them to the Hospital Wing,
he are the eldest Weasley Boy here it is your job,
you're in charge of them." Said Albus.
"We like him," Said Harry.
"If we going have someone in charge of us," Said Lewis.
"Then it will be him." Said Harry.
"We got big brothers. Three of them." Said Lewis.
"And two our age."
"You mean eight." Said Percy. "So, to the Hospital Wing
then off to bed."
But right then Hagrid and Snape showed up.
Now Lewis and Harry was looking at Snape.
Percy started walking out then came back and asked,
"What wrong."
"It is him." Said Harry.
"Who?" Asked Percy.
"The greasy headed man." Said Lewis.
"That Snape." Said Percy.
"We are not getting closer." Said Harry. "We just got a memory back. We saw a lady with emerald eyes get murdered in front of us, then this man tried killing Lewis then
disappeared in an explosion."
"When we came to that man had a wand to my head,
I think he wanted to kill us, because he keep blaming us for the death of the lady." Said Lewis. "Since she had Emerald Eyes to,
can only assume she was our Mom."
"The next thang I remember is that big man talking us from another man with black hear then he with us on a flying motorcycle, which can't be a real memory." Said Harry.
"It was a flying motorcycle, those don't fly."
"You two remember that?" Asked Hagrid. "That was real."
"Flying Motorcycles?" Said the twins.
"Why would a Wizard drop off Muggles off?" Asked Lewis.
"You not muggles." Said Hagrid.
Then they again closed their eyes when Minerva can in at the same time to looked like the twins did not hear him.
Because they closed their eyes then they grabbed each other into a full bear hug. When they opened there eyes,
One was now looking at Albus, while the other was looking at Minerva, "Them, it was not Hagrid it was them." Said Lewis.
"Why?" Said Harry.
"Why what?" Said Minerva.
"Why did we have to go there to get beat." Asked Harry.
"And get touched by her." Said Lewis.
"Why where you two missing?" Asked Hagrid.
"We ran off, we were living in a cave for four years." Said Lewis.
"Still not sure how that letter and the gold for school found us." Said Harry.
"But Tom was nice he let us stay in the inn there for a few nights for free." Said Lewis. "That would have been an extreme luxury expensive otherwise."
"So where did you two live near at least?" Asked Molly.
"The outskirts of Ottery St Catchpole near Devon, England.
When we were not hiding. There was this awesome looking house we looked at." Said Lewis. "But we always keep our distance.
But the place looked so cool. Always something cool to see on it, always something we missed."
"The last four years always felt some one was watching us."
Said Molly. "From the hill in the back."
"On top of that hill was there some strange looking thangs,
looked like huge bubble wands?" Asked Lewis.
"Yes, that a quidditch pitch, we have one in our back yard."
Said Ron. "At the top of our hill."
"They even had a neat name for their house,
called 'The Borrow' but seemed to fit." Said Lewis.
"But when we saw people we hid."
"Our house is called that." Said Ron. "Wait from time to time I saw a kid disappearing over the hill with black hair.
But when we talked to the families in the neighborhood
none had one."
"We also had a few meeting about food disappearing."
Said Molly. "Was that you?"
"Strangers scared us." Said Lewis. "But we only took leftovers.
We figured rich people would not notice."
"Rich?" Asked Molly.
"A very custom eight story house, with a large family."
Said Lewis. "So yes. But still sorry."
"But you said you only ate once or twice a week." Said Molly.
"Was trying to stay under the radar." Said Lewis.
"But wish we would have got caught now." Said Harry.
"I bet you two would have taken us in years ago."
"We would have." Said Molly.
"But this was also right after number four,"
Said Lewis, "Strangers scared us. We figured anyone would want to hurt us."
"Why?" Asked Molly.
"We saw a lady, after that we keep a greater distance.
Honestly females scar us. Because of the female foster we were with. She had fun playing with our bits." Said Lewis.
"What?" Asked Molly.
Then he whispered in Percy ear. Then Percy asked,
"Do you want me to tell her out loud or whisper it to her?"
"Use your best judgment, we trust you." Said Lewis.
"We never been able to say that before but yes we do."
Said Harry. "We do trust you, Percy."
"I am not going say it, but they do have a real reason,"
Said Percy. "Dad, trust me it is a good reason why,
Professors McGonagall and Sprout may want to stay back for a while, give them time to trust you two."
"Percy bring them to the hospital wing." Said Albus.
Percy brought them to the hospital wing. "Doctor Robert.
These are my newly adopted brothers. They need a complete checkup." Said Percy.
"Who wants to be first." Asked The Doctor.
"Check Harry first." Said Lewis.
"Ok, follow me." Said The Doctor.
Harry followed with Lewis behind him. He pulled the curtain close, then noticed Lewis.
"Get undressed, Lewis what are you doing back here?"
Asked The Doctor.
"Guessing you don't understand twins. You know he looks just like me, and we have seen each other nude."
"Fine." Said the Doctor. "Get undressed."
Harry undressed completely, and Lewis did so to.
"Lewis and Harry, you two ok." Asked Ron.
"Yes." Said Lewis he then whispered in Harry ear,
"You ok with Ron and Rob coming in?"
"Sure, if we move in with them, they see us at some point,
Percy, Fred, and George can come in to." Said Harry.
"You're sure?" Asked Lewis.
"Yes." Said Harry.
"Brothers you can join us in here if you want to." Said Lewis.
The five came behind the curtain. "You know you nude back here, you don't care." Asked Ron.
"We are?" Asked Lewis. "And I thought I was wearing robs,"
With looks they only seen on Fred and George,
"Harry did you know we were nude."
Harry with the same look said, "We are, though we had nice silk robs on in red and emerald."
Lewis then smiled at him. "If you look in your boxers,
you don't have anything I don't. And we are your adopted brothers, to think loving people to live with.
Think you five have seen these before."
"Done with Harry, a few minor broken bones but that is,
and I just healed them." Said the Doctor. "Dress when you ready Harry."
"Check Lewis." Said Harry just sitting there.
He started checking Lewis. Healing along the way,
when he got to the eye, he started healing it.
They were both emerald now.
Harry turned around and now facing Lewis sitting on the bed.
"Lewis both your eyes are emerald again,
we match again, can you see out of both again." Asked Harry.
A few minutes later, "I can see out of both eyes now."
Said Lewis looking at Harry. "This is nice I can see you munch better Harry." Lewis moved next to Harry and then pulled him into a hug where the chests touched in a full hug.
"Lewis going do a second scan form head to foot."
Said the Doctor. Lewis laid down, he started at the head healing along the way. "Did they hit you head. You have some skull fractures." And then continued down to the middle.
"Yaa that would be called melon boxing." Said Lewis.
"Who the hell did you live with, where they kicking you in the balls." Then healed him there.
"Yes, there son called it, nut crunching." Said Lewis.
Then he finished. Healing some bones.
Then he went back to Harry, "Think I healed all of you Harry,
But want to double check. Lay down." Said The Doctor.
Harry laid down. The Doctor scan him then said.
"You had some broken bones but that it. How did Lewis
get more damage? He had internal bleeding and one long working only halfway, if not for this checkup, he would have died
in two months, because that when his long and heart
would have failed." Said The Doctor, "Get dressed."
Then they stood up, and Lewis walked to Ron and hugged him,
Ron hugged him and then felt his ass and said,
"Nice, cute ass, and balls."
Harry then went and hugged Rob, who did the same.
"Ron you right to both."
"Boys get dressed." Said Percy.
"Yaa, we don't want to walk up to the First-Year area nude."
Said Lewis, "To big a chance girls will see us."
Then they both hugged Percy, who them smack there ass then said, "Get Dressed." Then they jumped when he did that.
"Don't smack out buts." Said Lewis. Then Lewis and Harry smacked Percy butt. "But if you want to touch, just not smack." Said Harry. Then they went and got dressed. "Now to bed."
Said the twins.
"Sure." Said Percy.
They left for the tower. And entered and went up to their room. And they saw the frog boy from the train and two others.
Lewis asked, "So Nev did you find your frog?"
"Yes, I did." Said Nev.
"That good, so your Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan."
Said Lewis. "So, do you handsome boys want to be our friends?"
"You want to be our friend?" Asked Dean.
"The Boys who lived, want to know us?" Asked Seamus.
"What?" Asked Lewis, "You're the boy who lived to,
unless I am talking to a dead boy."
"Lewis you and Harry are known as the 'Boys who Lived.'
It is part of the whole your famous thang." Said Rob.
"Will these two red head be the 'Boys who are cute."
Said Lewis. "Ron and Rob Weasley."
"You think we are cute?" Asked The youngest Weasley Twins.
"The Red Hear." Said Harry.
"Wonderfully cute freckles." Said Lewis. "Nice, cute but,
there ours now."
"Don't think we said something like that before." Said Harry.
"So, where you two bean, most said you died four years ago."
Said Dean. "They said the last chance agent him died."
"Yes, muggles, but for the past four years no," Said Lewis.
"We were homeless, we ran off."
"You did?" Asked Dean.
"We going spend how many years here?" Asked Lewis.
"Seven." Said Ron.
"There were bound to find out." Said Lewis.
"The funny part is they hide out near my house for four years,
under the nose of a wizard and witch." Said Ron.
"We were really good at hiding." Said Harry
"Now I think our about it our fear must have activated some spell that somehow stealth us." Said Lewis.
"Not bad for Mugleborn. Bed time." Then Lewis walked over to Ron and asked, and Rob and Harry walked over to them.
"Going share our first true secret, we can tell what someone is thinking and what they truly want, deep down.
I know the first time I saw you wanted me to be yours."
"You know." Said Ron. "I do as a boyfriend."
"Ron is the same with Harry." Said Lewis.
"I am," Said Rob.
"So, can I sleep with you Ron?" Asked Lewis.
"Same, can I sleep with you Rob?" Asked Harry.
"So, we also have five beds for seven." Said Lewis.
"Sure Lewis," Said Ron.
"Sure Harry," added Ron.
They then all got into bed, Lewis had just his shorts on and
got behind Ron and put his legs around him, then Ron took his shirt off then Lewis' belly was right agent Ron's back
and whispered, "Good night honey, good dreams."
Then kissed him.
"You to." Said Ron.
Harry was also hugging Rob, with his legs around him in the same set up as Ron and Lewis. They all fell asleep.
Then they started sharing a dream about living on a Paradise island sitting on the same lounge, watching a sunset that seemed to stretch out for hours, Ron and Lewis on one lounge and Rob and Harry on the other. There did not seem to get tired and Ron and Rob took turns talking about his family,
since they noticed it made Lewis and Harry happy.
They woke up in the morning and Ron said, "I had a wonderful dream, seemed so real."
Lewis and Harry just smiled, then Rob added, "I did to,
such a nice sunset, lasted so long, wish that island was real."
"That what my dream was about to, we were telling them about our family and our world the whole time." Added Ron.
"Same in mine." Said Rob.
Then they noticed both Potter smiling and now giggling.
"You two know." Said Ron.
"Yes, we do. Through it was some strange twin thang.
But we always dreamed together like that." Said Lewis.
"How did you like being added to our dream circle?"
Asked Harry.
"Did you know this would happen?" Asked Ron.
"No, but can't say I am unhappy about it." Said Lewis.
"But you should take this as a complement."
"Why." Said Rob.
"Because we allowed you in, where we have not allowed anyone else in more than eight years. We learned letting people in will only hurt us, nothing else. But you two felt different."
Said Lewis. "Can't explain why, we just know."
"He right," Said Harry. "We already love you two,
and want to do something we never through we would."
"What is that?" Asked the youngest Weasley Twins.
Then the Potters hugged them tightly, and said in unison,
"We have hold of someone we love and we will not let go."
"You're the first we love…" Started Harry.
"…as much as our twin." Finished Lewis.
"We never through we let anyone else in." Said Harry.
"But you two, are different. There something.
We know you two won't hurt us." Said Lewis.
"At least not on purpose."
Percy, Fred, and George walked in and over to the twins,
then Lewis said still hugging Ron, "With this two in your house for the last eleven years. How did you ever let go of them?"
"We cant." Said Harry, who also was hugging Rob.
"They forgot to add more beds to your dorm." Said Percy.
"We need more beds?" Asked Lewis.
"Yaa your two short." Said Percy.
"The number looks right to me." Said Lewis.
"What you think Harry?"
"Looks find to me. We even had the best dreams,
every but we were also hugging these two." Said Harry.
"And new place we through we have the worst nightmares ever."
Said Lewis. "But we also had these two with us."
"Ron and Rob, seems they taken to you." Said Fred.
"They also have that twin thang you two have." Said Ron.
"And we always wanted." Said Rob.
"But never seemed to get the hang of." Said Ron.
"And now you stared." Said Lewis.
"And you gotten good at." Said Harry.
"Yaa that may be us." Said Lewis. "As I said we don't let go."
