The Story of Jinjing 2 by: VampireGirlFan1
Thank you guys for reading chapter 4 of The Story of Jinjing 2
Sorry, it took me a while to write this chapter. I'm still working on the story.
The story will get good. But I've been working on other stories, and I want them to go well as my other stories did
Here's chapter 5
Chapter 5
Late at night, a sampan boat sails down a wide river. Inside, Po, Jinjing, and the Furious Five are sleeping. Jinjing woke up, startled from another nightmare. She got up quietly and exited the cabin without anybody noticing. On the deck, she sits down and stares at her reflection of herself with tears welled up in her eyes. She sighed sadly. Why won't the nightmares just go away? She thought.
She cried softly until she heard footsteps and the sound of punching. The female red panda wiped her tears away, turned her head around, and see Po making tai chi movements, but the waterdrops keep falling on Po's head. Po furiously punches the mast. He briefly stops and then a large amount of water drenches him.
"AAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHH!" Po yelled and then headbutts the mast.
"INNER PEACE! Inner peace!" Po shouted.
"Ahem," Po stops. He looks up and sees Tigress standing on top of the cabin, her paw on the mast. Po felt embarrassed.
"Oh, er… I'm, er… training," Po responded.
"Uh huh, sure you were," Jinjing said. Startled, Po turned to see the female red panda standing next to him.
"The mast is not a worthy opponent," Tigress said and then leaps over Po's head and lands opposite of him. She holds out her arm, palm faced towards Po. "I'm ready,"
"Okay. So serious…" Po said. He raises his fist and punches her paw as hard as he can. A second later, Po collapses in pain, clutching his fist.
"That's gonna hurt, Po, are you okay?" Jinjing asked.
"Ha-ha-ha-OW! I think I prefer the mast. I'll be fine, Jinjing," Po responded to Jinjing's question.
"Apologies. I used to punch ironwood trees by the palace to train. Now, I feel nothing," Tigress said.
"That's… severely cool," Po said, impressively.
"Oh, yeah, I remember that you used to do that," Jinjing said.
"Yeah, you really wanted to try it and Shifu was afraid that you'll hurt yourself. But you were little at the time," Tigress said before turning to Po. "Again,"
Po gets up and begins punching her fist repeatedly.
"So, er… this punching ironwood trees… how long did you have to do that?" Po asked.
"20 years," Tigress replied. Po stops punching.
"Wow, 20 years?" Po asked. He resumes punching. "Is there any, uh, you know, faster way? You know… until you… you know… don't feel anything?"
"No. Besides…" Tigress said as she grabs Po's fist and spins him in the air. Po crashes on the floor. Tigress smiles. "I don't think hard style is… your thing,"
"Oh…" Po said before he gets up in a sitting position as Tigress kneels beside him and Jinjing stands beside him.
"Po, why are you really out here?" Tigress asked.
"Yeah, what's going on?" Jinjing asked.
"I just found out that my dad… isn't really my dad," Po responded.
"Your dad… the goose?" Tigress and Jinjing asked. Po nodded.
"That must have been quite a shock," Jinjing said.
"Yeah," Po said.
"And this bothers you?" Tigress asked.
"Heh… are you kidding me? We're warriors, right? Nerves of steel! Souls of platinum!... Like you! So hardcore you don't feel anything!" Po said. Tigress' eyes widen as Po punches her arm and retracts his fist in pain, surprised by what he had said.
"…I was…" Tigress said before turning to her adopted cousin. "Jinjing, why are you out here?" Jinjing sighed sadly as she stared at the water and took a deep breath.
"I had a nightmare, that's why I came out here," Tigress and Po looked at her.
"What? How long have you had them?" Po asked.
"Promise me that you two won't get mad or upset," Jinjing said.
"We're not going to be mad at you. We promise you," Tigress reassures her. Jinjing turns to them.
"I've had them since Tai Lung's defeat," Jinjing said with teary eyes before she cried softly. Tigress and Po put their arms around her, comforting her.
"Oh, Jinjing, it's okay. Why didn't you tell us?" Tigress asked.
"Because I didn't want you guys and everyone else to worry about me," Jinjing responded.
"Jinjing, of course we're going to worry about you. We're your family. We could've helped you get through this," Tigress said.
"I know, I thought that I can get through it, but I can't,"
"Does Shifu know? About the nightmares?" Po asked.
"Yes, so does Yue. Ever since I had them, I thought that they're just gonna go away, but they're not. I just want them to go away," Jinjing responded to the panda.
"It's going to be okay," Po assures Jinjing.
"Thanks, guys,"
"You're welcome, (A/N)"
"So, what are you guys talking about?" Mantis asked. The rest of the Five appear from the cabin and surround Po and Jinjing.
"Nothing, nothing," Po responded.
"Po's having daddy issues and Jinjing's been having nightmares," Viper said.
"Jinjing, we're so sorry," Crane said.
"Thanks, Crane," Jinjing said.
"Man, I'm so lucky. I don't have any problems with my dad! Maybe it's because Mom ate his head before I was born. I don't know…" Mantis said to Po.
"Okay, that's just gross. And Mantis, this isn't about you!" Jinjing said.
"She's right, Po is the one freaking out," Viper said.
"I'm not freaking out," Po said.
"Po," Tigress said.
"I'm freaking… in,"
"Po!"
"What?"
"We're here…"
Jinjing, Po, and the Furious Five turned to see Gongmen City in the distance.
"Gongmen City," Jinjing said.
The heroes arrived at Gongmen City!
Author's Note: The moment between Jinjing, Po, and Tigress is very sweet! I can't help myself writing moments like this
