I was starting to run out of breath as I ran about, looking for my classmates in the debris left behind by the Shiketsu student's quirk. Where are they? Are they injured? I must make sure they all pass, even if I fail...

Then, in the midst of the rubble - a flash of a shiny suit of armor.

"That's - Aoyama!"

I scrambled over to him as he looked up at me. "Iida, are you alone? What a coincidence, so am I!"

"I've been trying to help those in Class A as much as I can. A number of us gathered in one place and I came to look for the others."

"Does that mean you're running around by yourself?"

"Yup."

Then, oddly, he laughed. "You're so weird. How do you know who's still left? What'll you do if everyone left you behind and passed already?"

"But I found you, didn't i? If everyone else passed first, then that's good! I am Class A's representative. I'm in a position to lead the class. As long as time and energy allow, I want to serve the class. That's what my brother would've done. My actions are also the shape of my dream." Even so, I do want to get my provisional license. The test is nearing the final stages. I'll continue my search on my way to getting it. Please work with me!"

He nodded. We stood up and began to pick our way around the exam area, looking for people to tag.

"THERE! UA! LET'S GET EM!"

One wrong step, one false move, and we'd ended up surrounded. Just the two of us, Aoyama and me, attacked on all sides by students desperate to get our points, and aoyama was already in danger, two targets lit up.

"Merde! The two of us, we're really in the thick of it!" he cried. "It's going to be difficult to make it out of this one alive, Iida!"

"What are you saying?" I told him. "Now's not the time to think about giving up! Let's do our best."

"No, that's not what I mean! Don't get caught by a stray bullet!" We were running - people throwing balls at us, assaulting us from all sides.

"Your dreams, huh?" said Aoyama. Then he let go of my hand, out of nowhere. He lay down - and blasted his naval laser into the air.

"HUH? What are you doing?! Wait...seriously, what are you doing?" I asked him.

"I'm standing out!" he told me.

"Extravagently! No, that's not right!"

"If you're trying to protect me, we'll just both go down together. I stand out so much. I've already lost two of my targets. Just one more and I'm out. I'm turning this over to you. By standing out like this, I can draw out people who decide to come after me. With your speed, you should be able to do it on your own, right?"

"What are you saying, all of a sudden?" I called out.

"You can hear everything I'm saying! I've always wanted to eb equal with everybody else." he said simply.

I hestiated - and then -

A flock of doves blew over our heads.

"Doves? What? Oww oww!

Koda's voice!" They're all circling around over there!"

"Black Ankh!" came Tokoyami's voice. "GLOOM OF THE BLACK ARM!"

Everyone was trying to pull themselves up from Mineta's balls. Ojiro was here - Batting down students with his tail.

"Take what you can from those who can be taken from!" yelled Ojiro. "Before the others take from you!"

"You guys!" I cried.

"It's UA!" the students were screaming.

"Light Refraction! Say cheese!" said Hagakure, blinding everyone.

"So bright!" students yelled around us.

"Don't mind if I do!" She took them out.

"Me too!" added Ojiro.

"TWO MORE HAVE PASSED! 8 TO GO!" came over the loudspeaker.

"Everyone's getting worked up in a fuss!" said Ashido to Aoyama. "Enemy or friend, we couldn't make heads or tails of what's going on. We couldn't see anything around me. But then we were able to group up together again. It's all because of your navel laser, Aoyama!" She gave him a thumbs up and tagged them out.

She and mineta took people out. 5 left!

"IT'S ONE AFTER ANOTHER NOW! UA'S MAKING A STRONG PUSH IN THE FINAL MOMENTS. THEY'RE COMBINING THEIR POWERS TO PASS THE TEST!"

"Aoyama! What do you mean, equal with everyone else...your standards must be off if you don't know what you are! And...all of this, is thanks to you!"

"Well then," he said. "I guess I just can't seem to stop sparkling."

"Yes! Whatever that means," I told him, as we took them out together.

Everyone in Class 1A had passed!
