The rest of us, sans Midoriya, Bakugou, Kirishima and Kaminari, hurried through the wreckage of the cityscape. Midoriya's words, of course, came back to me as we raced to save every life we could: "It reminds me of Camino". Yes...the dust in the air, the debris, the screams of pain and collapsing buildings, that feeling of chaos and sheer destruction...undoubtedly, the test makers wanted us to remember that moment. That memory, still so fresh.

The older students from the other schools were really taking charge. It seemed they'd done this many times before, as they called out "There's someone inside! They're responding to our call, but it's too dark to see what's going on inside!"

"Either way, I can check their pulse and breathing."

"I'll make some space for a temporary treatment area."

"These guys know what they're doing," said Sero, looking around.

"Everyone! Come this way, quickly!" called Yaoyorozu. She had knelt at the entrance of a cave created by fallen debris. As usual, she appeared calm, professional, relaxed and in command. "There's a man trapped here! He's still conscious!"

"Please hurry!" the 'victim' was calling as she spoke.

Uraraka went charging in, in a sudden and rather uncharacteristic fit of recklessness. "All that rubble is in the way! I'll make it float away!"

If she does that -

Yaoyorozu was quicker than I. She created from her side a giant lever with the word "Stop!", and Uraraka slammed right into it, stopped in her tracks.

"Hold on a minute!" said Yaoyorozu. "Please look more carefully at the surroundings! This portion of the wall happens to be holding up the adjacent building, which looks like it's almost about to fall over. If you're not careful about how you move it, it may collapse!"

Uraraka, standing back up, gasped aloud. "I see! That's no good..."

Yaoyorozu pulled her shirt almost open to created some sort of beam.

"Let' s first make sure the wall has a supporting brace in place before we rescue him," she said, producing a girder while she talked. "This would be much faster if we had someone with a reinforcing type quirk with us. We've got some with us - it'll take some time, but - "

Sero and Sato moved in with tape and super strength. "You can leave it to us! The wall's reinforced too!"

Yaoyorozu knelt down again. "Now then, Uraraka," she said.

"Mm!" said Uraraka. "I'll clear away the other rubble and make a path for us! Here goes!" she climbed into the new space and started floating rubble away.

I stood there a little mistified at how quickly she and Uraraka had taken action. Why can't I move? I don't quite know what to do...Yaoyorozu was my deputy as Class Representative, yet in that moment it felt as though she were truly in command of Class 1-A...

"We can't just stand around and watch!" said Mineta, breaking through my thoughts.

"Some people have already caught on, but unlike in the first phase, it looks like it'll be better for us to split up," said Shoji. "Let's move in small groups."

"All right! Let's communicate with the other schools too, not just our own class! We've got to save as many people as possible!"

"Let's go!" said Ashido.

Aoyama had already lain down to provide some light for hte students who were working in darkness. "CAn't see inside cuz it's too dark? Your future is bright with my sparkling!"

"Aoyama!" gasped Mineta. "You really like that pose!"

I felt roused at last, and called out to Yaoyorozu. "Yaoyorozu! Let's split up and disperse!"

"Roger that," she nodded, continuing the evacuation.

"His right foot is broken! Sero, we need your tape..."

I hurried off. I will save every life I can...because that's what my brother would have done.

The rescue operation was going rather smoothly, to my relief. I was finding distressed HUC people, and following Midoriya's cue in reassuring them, and Yaoyorozu's in the cautious approach.

And then

A giant explosion as the walls of the arena were blown to pieces. I jumped in the middle of reaching to a victim, and turned to see.

The pro hero known as Gang orca. One of the top ten, present at Kamino, had appeared, surrounded by a huge legion of sidekicks.

The announcer said "WITH THE APPEARANCE OF THE VILLAINS, THE PURSUIT HAS BEGUN! HERO CADETS WHO ARE ON LOCATION, YOU MUST SUPPRESS THE VILLAINS WHILE CONTINUING TO RESCUE!"

Part of the scenario...to better repeat Kamino ward. Naturally.
