A/N: I HAVE RETURNED! Yes, it has been a good few months since I last posted a story, but I am back! I am still dealing with a few things in life, but I am slowly finding my groove. Also, I have been quarantined for the last two weeks, and i needed something to do while I couldn't...do...anything...yeah. Anywho, I think that this first Chapter is as good as it's gonna get, so... yeah. Enjoy the first Chapter of "Legend", the next installment of the "Strangers Like Me" series!

Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers in any shape or form. I only own the story and any and all OCs in the story. If there's someone you're not familiar with, it's probably an OC.

Delta stretches as he steps out of the building, optics blinking away the harsh sunlight. He pauses, audios perked at the sound of engines whining. Suddenly, three little jets blast past him, voices shouting a greeting before the small forms fly away, giggles echoing. He chuckles, still not used to being "Uncle Delta". But what do you expect, being the kids of his Best Friend? He steps outside and takes a deep vent.

Five years. It's been five years since he reunited with his family. It took a while to get used to everything. He knew it was a big change for everyone to pack up everything and move to a whole new planet—when asked why, Ironhide simply smiled and said he was tired of having to say goodbye to his kid. So, he decided to go with him. It was similar for his parents and Lance. They didn't want to say goodbye to him anymore either, so they simply joined him.

His team was loving having more bots around, though. They took to everyone without hesitation, welcoming them all into the base, helping them find their place. With the extra servos, the base was quickly established, built from the ground up.

It was small and simple, but had all of the things they needed. Command Center, Sleeping Quarters, GroundBridge, Med Center, Training Arena.

That's where he was right now. He was watching Ironhide help Sol with some combat practice, the young Mech still not back to full strength but loving the one-on-one time with the older Mech, Ironhide slowly putting him through fighting stances, gently correcting him as he goes. Dreadwing was with them as well, giving his own pointers to the younger Mech.

Leaving them to it, he goes over to the building nearby, entering it. It's not very big, housing nothing but a GroundBridge and small command console. He frowns at the sight of Wheeljack and Knockout talking in low tones, Soundwave fiddling with the console.

For some reason, Wheeljack had gotten it into his helm that their GroundBridge wasn't strong enough, and had somehow not only made a grand escape from the veteran center, but had also gotten Soundwave and Knockout to come as well, and work on making it so they could respond even faster to different emergencies around the world.

"Guys, seriously. Our GroundBridge is fine. It doesn't need any upgrades, or whatever the frag you are planning on doing to it."

Wheeljack shrugs, plunging his servo into the side of the console. It sparks, making Soundwave back up.

"Relax, kid. We're just gonna boost the power a bit. Make it easier for you and your buddies to get to the different countries for your humanitarian scrap."

Delta sighs, knowing that he wouldn't be able to convince the white Mech any different. But maybe…

"Knockout. You of all Mechs can't be okay with this. Besides, you have kids to take care of. The twins are kind of needing their pops there."

Knockout pauses, and Delta internally cheers at getting the red Mech to reconsider. However, he simply shrugs.

"Breakdown has more than enough help taking care of RoadSlip and Strongarm. They'll be fine."

He groans, slapping his forehead in exasperation. He turns to Soundwave, the silent Mech his last chance.

{Master, you really think he will listen?}

{I'm hoping. I have a feeling this is not gonna go Wheeljack's way.}

"Soundwave-"

There's a sudden, frantic beeping, the trio backing away from the console.

"Dammit, Wheeljack, what did you do?!"

"Nothin', I swear!"

He hears the team come inside behind him, having gotten curious at the raising voices. The console continues to frantically beep, the gray metal slowly becoming red as it overheats.

Knowing the explosion could do massive damage, his body is moving before he can think.

Delta lunges for the device, his arm outstretched. He presses the button to deactivate it just as it explodes into an inferno. There's shouts, an alarm somewhere blaring.

White light fills his vision. He swears he hears a voice.

"You are needed elsewhere…"

Then, darkness consumes his vision.
