This takes place at a non specific time period in the original Eva series. But I'd say after episode 16 is approximately where this begins. (Subject to change)

Chapter 1: Silent treatment

Shinji woke up to a bright light shining in through his window

What time is it the boy thought as he heard Misato leaving. It was a Sunday, and 3 days since the last Angel attack. Asuka had mostly ignored him, only speaking to say she is hungry or that he needed to do something for her.

Shinji got up from his bed and put on proper clothes. Then went to the kitchen to prepare himself a breakfast. I wonder if Asuka wants something. "Asuka are you hungry!" He shouted in the direction of her room. No response. He finished making food and sat at the table to eat wondering if she would ever say anything more then simple demands to him.

Asuka lay in her room with the blinds shut, she heard Shinji ask if she wanted food. Asuka didn't respond. The girl had been awake for at least a hour and a half now laying in bed. It was 9:16 am. Misato had just left for work and there was no school today. Maybe I can go to Hikari's apartment today. Get away from that idiot.

She found herself unable to get out of bed, her body didn't want to move, but she did. Finally after another 10 minutes Asuka threw her self onto the floor and hit her head "Ouch!" She yelled out rubbing the spot that hit the floor. Shinji had asked if she was okay. The girl wanted to say ' Obviously I'm fine you Baka' but she remain silent. Why won't I say anything, I want to; but can't bring myself to do it. She let out a sigh and left her room. Shinji was not in sight, PenPen was walking around and looked at Asuka, then looked away to return to his room. I ignore everyone and everyone ignores me. 'Sign'

Her hair was a mess and there were dark circles around her eyes. I should clean up. But first, I need to eat something I'm starving. She entered the kitchen to see a note 'Food is in the microwave' " That Baka left food for me" she whispered wanting to be mad, but couldn't bring that emotion out. She took it out and ate, it was still slightly warm, but not fresh anymore.

Shinji came out of his room to see her eating, she looked away from him and down, not wanting to pay a slight bit of attention to him, but hiding her face in itself was enough to tell him that she noticed him. The boy entered the bathroom as Asuka yelled "Be fast and don't use all the hot water!" "Okay" he responded but got none back.

Maybe I should talk to her, say something. But I don't want another slap, punch, or anything similar. I just want to get along. He undressed and turned the water on.

The shower was only around 6 minutes, and he used medium heat, which was cold to him. He dressed and exited the bathroom, Asuka was standing outside looking angry, he quickly passed her and went to his room. Maybe I should go see Toji. Kensuke was on a small vacation and would be gone for a few more days. Just then his phone rang, it was Toji.

"Hey man, bad news, err, um, ok, not bad, I won't be able to hang out today sorry man, I've kinda got a small date with Hikari." Toji immediately said.

"Oh."

"Yeah, I'll tell ya how it goes after, see you later man."

"Goodbye Toji, we can talk more later."

Shinji hung up. Great, now I have nothing at all to do. Unless I decide to confront Asuka, no, I should wait till she is more relaxed, she was angry when I saw her last. He fell back onto his bed. His SDAT player was nowhere in sight, the last time he has used it was before the last Angel battle, but since then it had somehow gotten lost in his room.

Maybe this means I should clean up in here. He looked Around to see little to no mess. How the hell did it get lost! He sat up and shoved his fist into the bed and twisted. Everything is already shitty today!

Then he remembered his cello. He grabbed it and opened its case. He started playing strings, but nothing seemed to sound right. He kept trying for a few minutes till he gave up and packed it away.

I hope Misato gets home early today. He lay back down on his bed and attempted to sleep, but was not able to.

Asuka had left the shower, her hair now looking much better then before, although the bags under her eyes had not faded much. She walked to her room just as her phone rang. Maybe is Hikari saying she wants to do something, maybe I can do something today! Her mood improved slightly.

She picked up the phone.

"Hey, it's Hikari, I just wanted to tell you tha-"

"I'd TOTALY love to do something today what you got planned!"

"Oh, heh, I can't to anything with you today, sorry, I've got a date."

Asuka hung up the phone without saying goodbye. She then threw it to the other side of the room. WHY IS EVERYTHING SO FUCKING STUPID TODAY!

She took a few breaths and calmed down, slightly. Why am I so mad today. What's going on, I had my period a few days ago it can't be that. Sitting there puzzled at her own anger she then got up from her bed and went to the living room. Then she looked over to Shinjis room. Maybe I should say something, it would be better then doing nothing all day. She walked over to Shinjis room but just before she knocked she thought why am I doing this, that Baka doesn't need me I don't need him I'm perfect content doing nothing all day and not talking to him.

She sat on the couch and picked up the remove for the TV, as she tried turning it on nothing happened. What the hellthe battery's are dead! She angrily walked to the kitchen and open the cabinet that the battery's are always stored in. only one! She threw the remote across the room and it landed on the couch. "Why is everything going wrong today!" She yelled, loud enough Shinji could Likely hear if he was not asleep.

The girl sat on the couch once again looking down at the ground. What's wrong with me. She could feel her eyes start to water. No! I will not cry. She quickly wiped the excess moisture off her eyes. She sat up straight, but only held that pose for a few seconds as she soon slopped into the couch again.

Maybe speaking to Ikari won't be so bad. Who knows maybe we won't ignore each other anymore. Although the silent treatment was her part mostly. What am I thinking! Going to that Baka Shinji for comfort. I would never stoop so low. She got off the couch and started walking. I wouldn't, would I... Before she could finish that thought she was once again standing in front of Shinjis door. Before she could stop herself once again she knocked on the door twice. What the heck am I thinking!
