Vic was sulking in his prison cell, not believing that he was defeated a second time by Leni and the other heroes. Not only that, he was getting a double sentence in his time from six years to twelve years. Vic was so mad he can just punch the prisons walls, and he wouldn't even care if it would destroy his hands. He practically lost everything and his reputation was completely in shambles.
of course he had his Gila monster, but he wasn't with him right now, he was with his stepdaughter.
Sitting and playing a harmonica, Vic vowed that he will get rid of Leni, Lincoln, and their superhero friends if it was the last thing he would do. Yes, he would do anything to kill them or ruin their lives somehow. He wouldn't stop until they were broken in some way, or dead, whichever comes first.
"Hey, Vic," an officer said from the other side of the cell bars. "You got a visitor to see you."
"Huh?" Vic said. "Who would visit me?" He got off his bench and put the harmonica down to see who it was actually seeing him. Placing his hand on one of the cell bars, he was looking at an ordinary man with business clothes. "Dad?" Vic recognized him. "What are you doing here?"
"What? A man can't drop by in prison to see his only son?"
"Well I ain't getting out for another twelve years, so go figure." Vic rolled his eyes.
"So listen Vic, I-" before he could finish his sentence, the father had a quick change of demeanor and punched the cop who escorted him out cold.
Vic was surprised at this and wondered what was happening.
"I am getting you out of here."
"Easier said than done." Vic commented. "We'll never get out of here with all the officers guarding the area.
"Don't you worry, i created a diversion." Said his father with a devious look on his narrow face. He pulled out a button from behind and when he clicked it with his thumb, a very loud explosion was heard from downstairs and the building began to rumble as if an earthquake was erupting.
Turns out; Vic's daddy planted a sticky bomb in the prison and it blew up a quarter of the prison building. Now the whole facility was in high alert from it, and the alarm began to blare.
"Come on!" His dad said
"Right." Both of the dastardly men rushed downstairs and it wouldn't be long before a whole squadron of officers would come to stop them. There it was; a big hole in the corner of the building. A perfect way to escape.
"Hey!" Said the warden, barging through one of the doors. "Stop right there!" A couple of other officers were behind him with guns in their hands.
"Let's move!" Vic's dad exclaimed before he and his son bolted out the opening and began running away from the place. The sound of gunfire was heard from behind them and there was the sound of baying German shepherds behind the two as well.
"Not guard dogs!" said Vic.
"Just keep running." Said his dad. As they went through many miles of running, His dad suddenly tripped on a vine underground and he was yelling in pain as he tumbled over.
"Dad!" Vic exclaimed. "Are you ok?"
"Ah!" His father screamed. "My leg. I think it's broken. Ah!"
"Come on, dad. Don't give up on me." Vic tried to help him up.
"No! No." His dad insisted. "Go! Just go. It's too late for me now. Save yourself." He grunted in pain.
"They went that way!" A prison guard shouted in the distance.
"You're Thomas Palmero, dad." Vic insisted. "One of the greatest criminals ever. You can make the best out of any situation."
"All things have their time, son. And I was one of the greatest criminals ever. Not anymore."
Vic felt like tearing up. "I don't wanna lose you."
"Don't worry about me." Thomas said. "There's nothing left for me anyway. I already killed many officers. And I already lived my life to the fullest. Just go." Vic paused. "Go!"
He didn't want to do it but Vic ran as fast as he could to get away from the police so he wouldn't be caught like his father will be soon enough.
Giving one last glance, he got a peak of his father laying on the ground and looking at his son running away and a glimpse of the prison guards in hot pursuit.
Running for his dear life, Vic ran for miles and miles and found a small cave. He found some leaves to disguise the entrance and get the cops off his back. Keeping absolutely quiet, the former convict heard the sound of the police shouting and dogs baying.
waiting for hours, the coast was clear and he got out of his hiding spot. Looking around he realized he was safe (for now). He lamented about his father and tried to think of a way to kill Leni and her friends for ruining his life.
In Royal Woods, Chaz and Leni were having a romantic time together as they were having spaghetti with meatballs in the kitchen of her own home. There was a really long noodle that they both coincidentally got in their mouths and they slurped the long noodle before accidentally bumping into one another with their lips.
Good thing Leni wore her special lip balm before dinner. "Oh!" They both exclaimed as they hit the noodle. "I am so sorry." They both said in unison. "No, I apologized first."
Both of them blushed and turned away and then looked at one another before planting a kiss on their lips. Yes, this date was turning out quite romantic and adorable this noon.
"Thanks so much for inviting me for this nice dinner, Leni." Chaz said
"Anything for the greatest boyfriend ever." Leni said. She raised her hand and a plant appeared playing a romantic song on a viola. The music made everything all the more romantic between the two teens, and there was a chocolate tart ready for dessert, which they slowly ate from after they were done with their pasta.
"Glad I have superpowers, baby?" Asked Chaz
"totes glad." Leni smiled. Suddenly, the candle in between the teenagers dimmed out. "Uh-oh, there goes the candle." She said. "I'll ask dad if he can light it up."
"Oh no need, Leni." Chaz smirked confidently. He raised up his first right finger and a small light of fire emerged from it like a lighter, and hovered his finger above the candlewick. "Voila!"
"ooh, love it." Said Leni, clapping her hands excitedly.
"So I guess I need to work on my powers more, even if I am getting the hang of it."
"Practice makes perfect, Chaz." said Leni
"Right. And you were amazing taking down Vic like that. The fire didn't even hurt you."
"Nope, that's because I have fire in me." Chaz had a thought in his head before summing; "I wonder if I can walk on the sun without melting myself."
"That's crazy." Leni said. "That would totes melt you."
"Not saying I would ever do that. Just a thought." Her boyfriend pointed. "I can probably dip myself into a volcano without melting."
"please don't think stuff like that. It scares me."
"Relax, I'm sorry if I scaring you. I proved I can survive a flamethrower shooting at me.
"Maybe." Deep down, Leni had a thought. "You know what, Chaz, I just had a thought."
"Yeah?"
"Maybe Lincoln shouldn't come with us anymore."
"Why not?" Chaz took a bite of his chocolate tart.
"It just looks too dangerous for him to fight alongside us. I mean, I can't imagine how horrible it would be if the flamethrower for to him."
"Come on, he's a smart kid." Chaz doubted. "He was hiding in a dumpster to get out of the way. Even though he kinda smelled like the dumpster afterwards."
"I know," the second eldest sister sighed, "but anything can happen."
"He does know how to fight."
"I know, I know. I just worry about him. He was taken hostage by Fasha before."
"I know you worry about him baby, but he's not a baby anymore."
Leni began thinking again and realized that maybe she shouldn't worry that much about her only brother that much. It would mostly be her parents job anyway. Yes, Leni knows that Lincoln was a man with a plan, as he would describe himself over the years.
His plans and schemes have (mostly) made the best out of any situation that has happened, or if anything gone wrong in the family's lives. Yeah, he is a good planner and knows how to trick some people. "Maybe you're right, Chaz." said Leni. "I shouldn't worry too much."
"There you go, Leni." Chaz smiled proudly.
