Missed the last update, sorry, will be back on track now

"BLOODY HELL! DEATH EATERS" Dad screamed, and he, like many others, tried to apparate, but nothing happened. One of the Death Eaters must have put a spell over us preventing us from apparating.

"ARE THERE ANY MUDBLOODS HERE?" Bellatrix screamed out. "MUGGLE-BORNS STEP FORWARD NOW!"

One young witch stepped forward nervously. She looked about fifteen or sixteen years old.

"NO!" Dad yelled.

Bellatrix smiled. "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Dad covered my eyes and I heard a thud. Screams were let out from the crowd. My parents and I tried to slip out, but then we were spotted, and the Death Eater who saw us shouted, "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Mum screamed out, pushing our heads down, avoiding the killing curse.

"No… no…" she sobbed.

I was shaking, staying pressed against my parents, my breaths coming out shaky and uneven.

"What should we do with you lot?" Bellatrix laughed. "Torture you? Kill you right now?"

"Stay calm," Dad whispered to me, drawing his wand. He turned to a wizard near us, who nodded at him and grabbed out his own wand. The word seemed to be passing around the group of people, while the Death Eaters were cracking themselves up at how helpless we all seemed.

"NOW!" shouted on of the wizards, then all of the adults pointed their wands at the Death Eaters, sending a silent spell at them. Some of the Death Eaters put a shield up, but some of them got shot back away from the group. I grabbed my parents hands and we made a run for it, as the black shadows of the Death Eaters chased us.

One of them was chasing us, and smashed into the window of the huge palace beside us. Glass shattered, flying out to where we were running.

"PROTEGO!" Dad yelled out, making a shield in front of us. "Let's get out of…"

The crowd was running, screaming, and then a woman grabbed onto me, shouting, "Tommy! Thank god I found you!" and started dragging me away from my parents violently.

"NO!" I shouted, trying to pull against her. "I'M NOT TOMMY!"

She didn't seem to hear me. I looked around at the scene: the Death Eaters were flying around in their black shadows, some people were duelling, and there were dead bodies scattered across the floor.

"No more visiting the palace today, Tommy," said the woman. I then realised that she was a muggle, and wondered what she must be thinking about all of this — the wands, the spells, the Death Eaters and their shadows…

"Please," I said, trying to get out of her grip. "I'm not Tommy!"

I scanned the crowd, trying to find my parents, but they were nowhere to be seen. Then someone pushed the woman off me, and dragged me away from the crowd. It took me a while to recognise him, the short skinny boy with messy jet-black hair, and round glasses over his hazel eyes…

"James," I breathed. "What are you doing here?"

"My parents and I were doing the Easter hunt thing," he said. "Then I got split up from them, I think they're fighting the Death Eaters…"

"OK," I said. "I've lost my parents, too…"

"OK, we need to go get them," he said. "We will find our parents."

"What if they die?" I said, my breathing unsteady. "The Death Eaters will kill them!"

"We have to go help—"

"We don't know many spells," I said, my voice shaking. "W-we can't…"

"WE HAVE TO!" James yelled. He started running for the crowd, but I held him back.

"Don't go, look, here comes your parents now!" I said, pointing to where his parents were coming out of the crowd. They came to us, and grabbed James and my hands, then we apparated.

We arrived at Hogsmeade, panting.

"What about my parents?" I cried.

"You'll see them next summer," said Fleamont.

"What's happened?!" I shouted.

"We met them, and split up to find you two, made a deal we'd take you to Hogwarts if we found you," Euphemia explained. "We're going back to find your parents, now, OK? We'll send you guys owls once we're all safe… walk back to Hogwarts now, you'll be safe there, OK?"

"Wait!" I cried.

"Goodbye, boys," said Fleamont, and he and his wife gave James a hug then apparated.

"NO!" I cried out. "N-no…"

"It's OK, it's OK," said James quickly. "Let's go to the school. You'll get an owl from your parents soon, I promise."

"No…" I sobbed, and James grabbed my arm, bringing me up to the school. We walked through the back door of the castle, and I was still shaking. I couldn't get the sight of the bodies scattered across the floor out of my head.

James seemed pretty shaken from it, too, but he was obviously trying to hide it.

"Let's… it's lunchtime… let's go to the… the Great Hall," he said, his voice shaking slightly. I nodded, and the two of us walked into the Great Hall. We opened the doors, and the approximately fifty kids eating lunch there all turned back to look at us.

Sirius rushed down through the middle of the Great Hall to speak to us.

"Were you in the attack at Buckingham Palace?" he said quickly. "You're not the first ones, a bunch of students have been dropped off here by their parents… I'm so glad you're both OK!"

Monifa then came to us, throwing her arms around both of us, crying a little.

"OH MY GOSH! YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF US!" she cried. "I assumed you would go to the Easter egg hunt, because basically every student who takes the Easter break off goes to it. But when we heard about what happened…"

"May we please breathe?" James asked, and Monifa stepped back from us, wiping her eyes.

"Come and sit with us," said Sirius. "What was it like, being in the midst of all that action?"

"Scary," I said.

"Your cousin was there," said James. "She killed a girl. Jessica Banks, the commentator's sister."

As if on cue, Kaiden Banks came bursting through the doors of the Great Hall. He looked distraught. Most people had heard what had happened to his sister by now, and all the students were crowding around him. He only spoke to one person, though: a girl in his year, Narcissa Black.

"YOUR SISTER IS A MURDER!" he screamed, sobbing. "SHE'S A MURDERER! SHE KILLED MY SISTER!"

Narcissa screwed up her face. "I can't control what my sister does, so shut up!"

"YOU DON'T EVEN CARE?" he shouted. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOUR SISTER!"

"Don't say a word against my sister!" Narcissa spat. "You can shut your mouth!"

Then, Kaiden slapped her across the face. She screamed out, but then the teachers were interfering.

"Mr Banks! Miss Black! Get back to your seats!" Professor McGonagall shouted.

"Her sister—"

"Is not her," Professor McGonagall snapped, then added, gently, "There will be a commemoration for your sister after the Easter break. I'm very sorry for your loss, Mr Banks."

"Th-thank you, Professor," said Kaiden, his voice shaking, but still eyeing Narcissa, who was backing away to her seat, clutching her cheek.
