Chapter 3 is here; I hope you enjoy it

Chapter 3

Bakugou thought about everything the other omegas had said on his walk back to his dorm. Thankfully the meeting hadn't been nearly as daunting as he had feared. The other omegas were warm and welcoming, and he understood the need to stick together and have each other's backs when there was so few of them. What they had been saying actually made a lot of sense and he realised that the reason that he had been planning to let people work things out on their own was because he was… scared. Scared of the reactions, scared of really admitting who he is and changing the course of his life. But the idea of being constantly questioned and harassed if he let people slowly work out that he was an omega on their own soon had him considering the benefits of just telling everyone. Getting it over with quickly instead of it being a long-drawn-out thing. It would also help explain any changes in behaviour that they might notice over the coming months. His cheeks pinked at that thought.

Determination setting in and really trying hard not to think too much about it, Bakugou marched into his dorm. Unsurprisingly it was as busy as it had been when he'd left, with most of his class scattered around the place.

He took a deep breath, heart racing in his chest but he did his best to keep his expression neutral.

"Oi, listen up fuckers! I need to talk to you so come and sit your ass in the lounge room!"

Everyone stopped what they were doing, staring around at Bakugou in shock. Todoroki stuck his head out of the kitchen and Bakugou shot him a menacing scowl, fear making him defensive.

"Now!" he shouted. That got everyone moving. Those already sitting in the lounge room turned to face Bakugou, while others wandered in from other parts of the room and kitchen. Bakugou looked around, it was most of the class and he was sure whoever wasn't here would quickly get filled in by someone who was.

"What's up, Bakugou?" Kirishima asked in concern from his place on the floor.

Bakugou scrubbed his hands through his hair for a moment, where to start. Perhaps he should have thought this through more.

"Look, I have something to say, and I didn't want to get harassed for ages with questions and- and bullshit, so I decided just to tell you all at once, answer any questions you have and then- then it's done."

Several people around the room began to look concerned.

"I'm an omega" he said plainly, deciding not to beat around the bush about it.

The room was silent for a moment before Denki burst into laughter.

"Yeah right!" he gasped, wiping a tear from his eye as he laughed harder.

Several other people around the room began to chuckle, a few of them making to stand up, clearly thinking this was some kind of joke. Bakugou felt like snakes were writhing around in his belly, but he pushed on.

"Sit the fuck down you dumb fucks, I'm not joking."

Todoroki spoke up, confusion clear in his voice. "But you're a beta?"

"No, I'm actually an omega. Look" Bakugou said with a sigh "my parents put me on suppressants as soon as I presented but I've decided to come off them and have a go at just being…me" he finished lamely, keeping his explanation very similar to what he had told the other omega's.

Everyone sat in silence while they processed.

"So, you're an omega?" Iida confirmed.

"Yep."

"Why are you telling us?" Denki asked, starting to realise that this was not a joke.

"Well," Bakugou began awkwardly. "Now that I've gone off my suppressants, I will start showing more omega tendencies, my scent will come through in the next few weeks and I will begin having heats" he mumbled the last part, looking over everyone's heads as his cheeks heated. He plowed on regardless. "I was talking to some of the other omegas at the omega support group and they made some good points on why it would be easier for me to just tell you all upfront."

"Omega support group" someone murmured.

Denki suddenly let out a cry, "the alpha condoms! That's why you had them; in case you want an alpha to help you through your heat." He looked pleased with his deductions and a few faces around the room turned speculative. Bakugou thought he was going to die of embarrassment, his face turning crimson and angry tears pricked his eyes as he stormed from the room before he could start screaming, trying to remember his breathing to calm himself.

"Bakugou, wait!" someone called out, but he kept going, stupid fucking Denki.

Denki let out a squawk as he was hit in the face with a pillow.

"Seriously, Denki" Mina said with a huff.

"That was really unmanly" Kirishima frowned. "Couldn't you tell what a big deal it was for Bakugou to talk to us about this stuff, why'd you have to bring up the condoms for?"

Denki looked suitably chastised, "I'm sorry, I just thought of it and blurted it out."

Conversations started breaking out around the room about what they had just been told.

"I wonder why he's been on suppressors?" someone asked.

"He would've needed his parent's approval; he wouldn't be able to get them on his own at his age."

"I wonder why he's finally decided to come off them?"

"He's going to have every alpha in the school after him once they realise he's an omega, all the omegas are highly sort after but male omegas even more so."

"He's going to need our support" Momo spoke up. "This isn't going to be easy for him."

A few people nodded at that.

Denki, if possible, looked even more upset.

Bakugou felt anxiety crawl through his belly as he exited his room the next morning. He'd skipped dinner and stayed in his room the whole night. Someone had knocked on his door at some point, but Bakugou had just ignored it, he wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. He still wasn't.

He walked into the kitchen and found Kirishima, Mina and Todoroki all making breakfast, he braced himself for the questions and comments, but nothing came. They all greeted him like normal, then went back to what they'd been doing.

Bakugou wasn't sure why he felt so disappointed. He thought about it while he had breakfast, missing the concerned looks his friends shot him at his unusually quiet behaviour.

He guessed it made sense, why would anyone really care that he was an omega? Just because it had shaped most of his life to date doesn't mean that it would mean anything to the people around him. He realised with a start that he had wanted people to care, to maybe want to take care of him a little. He'd heard people are like that sometimes with omegas. Not that he needed anyone to take care of him, his parents had taught him how to take care of himself. But still… He would need to talk to Aina about it at their next session.

He cleaned his mess, grabbing his things before walking off to class, not bothering to wait for anyone else. He entered the classroom quietly, forgoing his usual bluster. It had been a lot of work maintaining that aggression all the time, ensuring that no one questioned how strong and tough he was. Now everyone knew he was an omega, what was the point? Like Aina kept telling him, all that mattered is what he thought of himself.

He sat and reviewed his notes from the last lesson before drawing up a study timetable for the upcoming test. No way was he going to let his grades slip, if anything he wanted to do even better.

Aizawa sent him a tired look as he entered, but Bakugou could read the concern in his eyes. Aizawa had been instrumental in getting him away from his parents and connecting him with Aina. He owed a lot to the man and Bakugou now realised just how much he had needed the help. He fought back the knee jerk reaction that told him he didn't need anyone's help, that if someone helped you it was because they thought you were weak. That was his parents talking.

He took extensive notes during the lesson and answered every question he could, but he didn't yell or swear, he felt calm.

When the lesson ended Aizawa's voice called out, "Bakugou, please stay behind."

Bakugou's eyebrows rose at that, he hadn't done anything wrong all lesson. Hadn't even yelled at Deku to shut up when he started muttering. He waited until the classroom had cleared of the rest of the class before he made his way to Aizawa.

"Everything OK?"

"Of fucking course" Bakugou scowled.

Aizawa just raised an eyebrow at him. "I can talk to Aina, get you an appointment for this afternoon if you need to talk?"

Bakugou swallowed thickly, "yes, please" he said quietly, not elaborating on why he wanted to talk.

Aizawa nodded, pulling out his phone straight away and making a quick call.

"4:30, in her office" he said after hanging up.

"Thanks" Bakugou murmured already heading to the door, Aizawa didn't say anything else, knowing better then to push him but Bakugou was thankful for the help just the same.

He walked out into the hall to find Kirishima, Sero, Denki and Mina waiting for him. He stopped in surprise, not realising they had waited.

"Lunch!" Mina said brightly and they all started to troop off.

Denki dropped back to walk beside Bakugou, "I'm really sorry about yesterday" he said seriously and Bakugou couldn't hold back the scoff. "I'm serious, I didn't mean to embarrass you, I just thought of it and blurted it out, you know my brain to mouth filter is nonexistent."

Bakugou did know that.

"Fine" Bakugou huffed, "but don't bring up the condoms again. It's no one's business but mine."

Denki nodded earnestly, "I won't, I promise."

Bakugou nodded, "Better fucking not."

A broad smile broke out on Denki's face, and he looked relieved.

"Aww did you two make up?" Mina cooed.

"Fuck off" Bakugou growled as he pushed his bag further up on his shoulder and stomped off.

They walked in to get lunch, having to sit with Deku and his group of friends as the place was so crowded. He heard the whispers as he began to eat.

"Omega…"

"I heard he's been on suppressants…"

"Bakugou…"

It seemed word really did travel fast. He concentrated on his food; he wasn't going to give anyone the satisfaction of reacting, it actually felt oddly liberating having everyone know the truth. A warm hand gripped his shoulder nearly causing the blonde to jump out of his skin in surprise.

He turned and glared to find Shinsou looking at him, the bags under his eyes looking worse then usual. Not that Bakugou made a habit of looking at the purple haired teen. Shinsou had yet to remove his hand from Bakugou's shoulder and he found himself leaning into the warmth before he could stop himself. Only years of restraint stopped him from laying his cheek on the others fingers. He knew years of neglect had left him touch starved, Aina had explained it was even worse as he was an omega and omega's needed physical touch, but he was loathed to start snuggling anyone in the middle of food rush.

"What!?" he snapped at the other teen, who had yet to start talking.

Shinsou floundered for a moment before finally speaking.

"We're all going to the movies tonight, if you guys would like to join us?"

Bakugou was momentarily surprised, expecting some comment about the gossiping, before he could reply Kirishima spoke up.

"Count us in! That sounds like so much fun."

Mina, Sero and Denki nodded their enthusiastic agreement; Bakugou grunted in the affirmative. A movie could be fun.

"We're leaving here at 6pm so let's meet in the common room" Iida spoke up and soon everyone was talking about their plans. Mina talking about what she was going to wear, while Todoroki and Denki compared snacks and Iida worried whether they should leave earlier then they'd planned. Bakugou couldn't hear anything else over the racket.
