The day of the Junior Reindeer Games had finally arrived, and everyone was eager to watch the competition. Reindeer and elves sat up in the stands, cheering with excitement. Also in the stands was Blitzen and Mitzi, waiting to see their son compete.

Over near the central building, Rudolph and Zoey walked together inside the trophy room, approaching one of the trophies that stood on display in a glass case. The two reindeer wore white saddlecloths over their backs, which showed their black numbers for the games on the sides. Rudolph was #5, and Zoey was #7.

"I'm sure Santa will notice you in the games, Rudolph." Zoey says

"Aww... I'm sure he'll notice you too, Zoey." Rudolph says

"I'm really glad we're friends." Zoey says

"Me too." Rudolph says

The red-nosed reindeer started to blush slightly and he looks away, feeling embarrassed.

"But, I..." Rudolph says

"But what?" Zoey asks

"I, uh... What I mean to say is..." Rudolph stammers

While Rudolph was struggling to find the words he wanted to say, Zoey lowers her head, allowing her pendant to slide down off her neck and fall onto the stone floor. The pendant was a golden heart attached to a brown strap. Grabbing the pendant with her mouth, Zoey slips it over Rudolph's head.

"It's for luck." Zoey says

The red-nosed reindeer lifts his head up, and looks down at the pendant as it falls into place perfectly over his chest.

"Gosh, Zoey. " Rudolph says

Zoey leans closer to Rudolph and gives him a kiss on the left-side of his cheek, causing the adolescent buck to blush and his nose to light up.

"Heh heh! Last one out's a rotten egg!" Zoey giggles

Feeling ready for the games, Rudolph and Zoey run out onto the track to prepare themselves for the first event.

Fanfare plays as four elves blow on their trumpets, signaling the start of the Reindeer Games. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus sat up in their personal spectator box on wooden chairs with red cushions to watch the event. Both of them wore red jumpsuits, but Santa also had a blue cap with reindeer antlers on his head. Devon sat next to the jolly fat man on his left on another wooden chair, while Luna, his female Night Fury sat next to him on her haunches as special guests. Santa rises up from his seat and steps forward to an raised microphone that was set up in the box, making his speech.

"Once a year, we hold these games to honor the mighty reindeer who draw my sleigh every Christmas Eve. May the Flyers of tomorrow be discovered today! Oh, ho ho ho ho ho! Oh, ho! Let the games begin!" Santa announces

The fanfare plays again as Milo the elf, speaks into his microphone from the announcer's box, acting as commentator for the Reindeer Games.

"And now, for the first event of opening day, the Sleigh Race!" Milo announces

Rudolph, Zoey, Arrow, and other adolescent bucks and does walk out onto the track to take their places for the race, pulling small, red, numbered sleighs that were ridden by elves, who wore yellow jockey uniforms and hats with the same corresponding numbers on their chests and backs. Arrow was #1 in the race and he walked alongside Rudolph on his left when he noticed Zoey's pendant around his neck.

"You're wearing Zoey's pendant!" Arrow exclaims

"She just gave it to me for luck." Rudolph says

"And she's my doe! Understand?" Arrow says

"She's not a trophy and you shouldn't treat her like one." Rudolph says

Soon, Rudolph, Zoey, Arrow, and the other reindeer stopped right infront of Santa's personal box where he, Mrs. Claus, Devon, and Luna could see them, and they lined up side-by-side in their starting positions.

"On your mark!" The Elf Referee says raising his right-arm up

Rudolph and Arrow lowered their heads and scrapped the snow with their hooves with determined looks on their faces, snorting with hot breaths.

"Get set!" The Elf Referee exclaims grabbing his whistle with his other hand and bringing it to his lips

The whistle from the Referee blows, and Arrow continued scraping the snow with his right-hoof, looking very determined to win the race. Everyone held their breath and waited with anticipation for the starting mark.

"Go!" The Elf Referee exclaims swinging his arm down

And with that, the race was on, and all of reindeer immediately took off running down the track with the spectators in the stands cheering loudly.

"And they're off!" Milo announces

Arrow was already up ahead in the race, being first in the lead with Rudolph trailing right behind him, along with Zoey and the other reindeer. Young buck #6 comes up alongside Arrow on his right, but the arrogant buck rams into him, causing his competitor's sleigh to run up against the inner railing of the track, and for both elf and reindeer to crash.

"Arrow's racing dirty!" Doggle exclaims

"We can still beat him!" Rudolph says

While the race continued, two medical elves carried away the injured elf on a stretcher, who gave a thumbs up with her right-hand, telling the crowd that she was alright. Rudolph began to catch up on Arrow, coming up alongside him on his right. Blitzen watched his son with much excitement and cheered him on.

"Go, Rudolph! Go!" Blitzen cheers

Devon also cheered for Rudolph from where he was in Santa's personal box.

"C'mon, Rudolph! You can do it!" Devon cheers putting his hands to his mouth to amplify his voice

Rudolph and Arrow were now running neck-and-neck alongside each other down the length of the track. Arrow rams his sleigh into Rudolph's, which then rams into Buck #8's sleigh, sending the elf rider flying out of his seat, though he lands on the young buck's back. Both reindeer and elf ride to safety, but their sleigh crashes up ahead on the track. Three elves run out to get the broken sleigh out of the way to prevent an accident. Two of them went to pick up the vehicle, while one kept watch for any oncoming racers. Rudolph was slowed down a bit by Arrow's foul trick, but he quickly catches up with his cousin, slowly approaching from the left around the bend. The two reindeer were quickly approaching the crashed sleigh, heading straight for it. Still playing dirty, Arrow pushes Rudolph in towards the sleigh, intent on making him crash. The elves on the track saw them coming and ran to safety, forced to abandon the sleigh. Rudolph kept his cool and ran full speed towards the obstacle. He was going to jump it.

"Hang on, Doggle!" Rudolph says

Devon jumped up from his seat and watched with amazement at what happened next. Everything moves in slow motion as the red-nosed reindeer leaps up into the air and flies over the broken sleigh with Doggle, then lands safely back on the track. Soon, Rudolph and Arrow were neck-and-neck again and they continued running down the track when Arrow began taunting his cousin.

"Zoey's only nice to you because... she feels sorry for you!" Arrow says

"That's not true!" Rudolph yells

"Yes, it is! She told me so herself!" Arrow says

An angry expression forms on Rudolph's face and his red nose glows brightly in reaction to his feelings. The light from his nose shines in Arrow's eyes, causing him to wince them shut. With his vision blinded, Arrow rears up on his hind legs and he falls backwards onto his sleigh as it slides up behind him. This, in turn, caused a collision with another racer, Buck #2, who immediately skids to a stop, but his sleigh slams into Arrow's and the elf riding it was sent flying, who landed face first in the snow. Zoey manages to steer clear of the accident and follows Rudolph down the final stretch of the track. Blitzen and the crowd cheered loudly for the red-nosed reindeer as he approached the finish line.

"He did it! He did it!" Blitzen exclaims

Rudolph runs across the finish through a line of red tape and wins the race, taking 1st place.

"Holy cow! Rudolph wins!" Milo announces

"Yes!" Devon exclaims raising his arms and jumping upwards

An elf wearing a blue suit and a black top hat walks up to the red-nosed reindeer with a ceremonial Christmas wreath in his hands and places it around Rudolph's neck, resting it on his back. But before everyone could celebrate, a whistle blows.

"Hold it!" A voice says

Everyone looks over at the Elf Referee as he walks out onto the track towards Rudolph.

"You're disqualified for the illegal use of a glowing red nose." The Elf Referee says holding his right index finger up

"But..." Rudolph stammers

"You're banned from the rest of the games." The Elf Referee says taking the wreath away from the red-nosed reindeer

Everyone watches as the referee walks away, while Rudolph lowers his head sadly.

"Sorry, Rudolph." Doggle apologizes

"Not your fault, Doggle." Rudolph says

With Rudolph disqualified because of his nose, the award was instead given to the runner up: Arrow. Milo reads the results of the race, announcing it to the crowd.

"The judge's rule! Arrow: Winner by default!" Milo announces

The Elf Referee walks up Arrow and places the wreath around the back of his neck. Devon, Luna, Blitzen, Mitzi, and Zoey were all upset by sudden turn of events. Even Mrs. Claus was disappointed.

"What?" Devon says

"This is an outrage!" Blitzen exclaims

"Oh, Santa. That's just not fair." Mrs. Claus says

"But, honey, the judge has the final decision, not us." Santa says looking left at his wife

Devon glances back at Santa, then looks back down at the track to see Rudolph heading towards the exit.

"Rudolph..." Devon gasps

Without a word to either Santa or Mrs. Claus, the Keyblade Master leaves the spectator box to go after his red-nosed reindeer friend with Luna following close behind. Down on the track, Zoey watches as Rudolph leaves through one of the exits, then turns to Arrow and confronted the unrepentant and conceited reindeer with an angry look on her face.

"You cheated!" Zoey says

"So what? The point is: I won, and Santa's gonna notice me." Arrow says with a smug expression

"You're no Flyer, Arrow! Flyers are brave, and they have character and true hearts, just like Rudolph!" Zoey says

"But he has a red nose." Arrow says

"Oh! You are so shallow!" Zoey groans in disgust

"But Zoey..." Arrow says

"I don't want to be your doefriend anymore, Arrow! You hear me? We're through!" Zoey yells

Arrow stares at Zoey with a surprised expression for a few seconds, then his face turns to anger.

"Tch! Fine! Whatever!" Arrow says

And so, Arrow turns to his right and walks away with his father, Cupid, and Dasher, to prepare for the rest of the Reindeer Games. Fanfare plays and Milo makes his announcement.

"Our next event is... the Leaping Contest!" Milo announces

While the Reindeer Games continued, Blitzen went down to go talk to the Elf Referee about Rudolph disqualification. Little did he know that his son was listening to their conversation, hiding away at the entrance on the left-side, around the corner, behind the wooden double doors.

"But you can't throw him out of the games!" Blitzen says

"Sorry. The decision is final." The Elf Referee apologizes

"But the nose problem isn't his fault. He was born that way. That nose of his... was an accident." Blitzen says

Rudolph's eyes widened in shock. He could not believe his ears. Blitzen, his own father, was ashamed of him. All because of his red nose. This was now officially the last straw. He couldn't take this abuse anymore. Turning around, Rudolph leaves the track in shame with his head low.

Returning to his home in the village, the red-nosed reindeer decides to leave and run away. If he couldn't be accepted here, perhaps he may find someplace else where he would. Rudolph packs up his personal belongings inside his dark green bag pack and throws it over onto his back. Just before leaving, he looks up at the photo of Blitzen and Santa, then looks down at the photo of Blitzen and Ducar, Devon's father, and the golden trophy that stood on the mantelpiece of the fireplace.

"One day, you'll be proud of me, Pop." Rudolph says

Now ready, Rudolph turns and walks towards the door. He looks around at his home one last time, then heads out.

The teenage buck walks through the snowy streets of the village, looking around each house he passes by until he reaches the path that led out to the outskirts.

It was sunset by the time Rudolph reaches the outskirts of Christmas Village, and the red-nosed reindeer gazes down at the settlement in the snowy valley, hearing the loud cheers of the crowd from the track as the Reindeer Games continued. He spared a few more moments to look upon his former home one last time before he finally sets out into the winter wilderness.

Back in Christmas Village, Devon and Luna searched everywhere for Rudolph, but found no trace of him. They soon arrived at his home, where they saw Blitzen's name above the green double doors.

"Here's where he lives." Devon says

The Keyblade Master pushes the doors open and the two heroes stepped inside, looking left and right for their reindeer friend.

"Rudolph? Rudolph?" Devon calls

Devon looks over at the hay bed and notices something sitting on top. It was a note left by Rudolph. The young teen walks over to the hay bed and picks up the note with his right-hand and silently reads it with his eyes going down from word to word.

"Oh, no..." Devon gasps

"What is it?" Luna asks

The Keyblade Master puts the note back and turns to his female Night Fury on his right.

"Rudolph ran away." Devon says

"What?!" Luna says shocked

Devon and Luna run out of the house and look around, wondering where Rudolph could have gone.

"It's not safe for him out there. The Heartless will be after him." Devon says

Luna sniffs the air a few times, then lowers her head down to the ground. Right away, she noticed some tracks still preserved in the snow. They were reindeer tracks.

"Devon! Look!" Luna says

Devon kneels down alongside his dragoness and followed her gaze, seeing the tracks also.

"Atta girl, Luna." Devon says

The two heroes looked up at the tracks and saw that they went further out into the village.

"These are fresh." Luna says

"Then he couldn't have gotten far. Let's see where they lead." Devon says

The Keyblade Master and Night Fury dragoness followed the reindeer tracks through the streets until they reach the edge of the village near the outskirts, where the tracks turned left and continued onwards into the wilderness.

"We need to go after him." Luna says

"No. Just me. I'll go." Devon says

"What? By yourself? It's too dangerous. You won't survive long out there in the cold." Luna says

"Luna, if both of us go, there's a chance the Heartless might attack again. We can't risk leaving the village unprotected." Devon says turning to his Night Fury dragoness

Devon places his hands on both sides of Luna's head.

"That's why I need you to stay here and watch over everyone, while I search for Rudolph. Please?" Devon says

Luna stared long at her beloved rider with a deeply worried expression, knowing how much danger he was putting himself in by searching for Rudolph. Eventually, she closes her eyes and sighs before nodding her head in understanding.

"Alright. I'll stay and keep watch for Heartless. Just... Please be careful." Luna says

Devon knew how much Luna was worried for him, but he gave her a warm smile and gently patted her face with his right-hand.

"Hey. Aren't I always?" Devon says shrugging his shoulders like nothing

The female Night Fury looks at the Keyblade Master and gives him a smile of her own. Devon rises back up and turns to face the path to the outskirts with a look of determination.

"Don't worry. I'll try and find Rudolph as quick as I can. But if ever I don't make it back within the next few hours, then you can come look for me." Devon says glancing back over his left-shoulder

Luna nods her head again in understanding. Turning back to the path before him, Devon runs out into the frozen wilderness, following the tracks that would hopefully lead him to his red-nosed reindeer friend. The female Night Fury watched her beloved rider as he disappeared into the distance, then sighed as she turned around to her left, walking back to the village.

(Show Me The Light - Starts)

It was now nighttime in the North Pole and Rudolph was already far away from Christmas Village, wandering about the wilderness as snowy mountains and evergreen trees surrounded him. Snow and chilly winds blew past the red-nosed reindeer, who soon began to sing.

Rudolph:
I'm out here on my own,
To face the day alone.
I need you,
To get me through the night.

I'm lost out in the cold,
I want someone to hold.
I feel you're near,
Though you're out of sight.

Back in Christmas Village, after the Reindeer Games were finished, Zoey stood by the window of her home, gazing out at the stars that sparkled in the night sky.

Zoey:
I'm reachin' for a star,
Wonderin' where you are.
Where is the love
Searchin' for me too?

One star in the sky shined brightly than all the countless others, catching Zoey's eye.

Zoey:
Oh beyond the mountaintop,
The dream will never stop.
Give me a sign,
I'm runnin' out of time.

Out in the wilderness, Rudolph crosses over a broken, icy lake, jumping from one floating piece of ice to another.

Rudolph and Zoey:
Show me the light,
When I fear the dark.

Soon, Rudolph saw a transparent form of a smiling Zoey waiting for him and the two reindeer run together across the snow.

Rudolph:
A ray of sunshine.

Zoey:
A rainbow's arc.

Rudolph:
Show me the light.

Rudolph and Zoey stop infront of a frozen lake, where the ice glowed with a beautiful rainbow of colors. The two reindeer looked at each other with happy expressions until the transparent, female doe fades away.

"Zoey?" Rudolph says

Rudolph and Zoey:
Show me the light.

(Show Me The Light - Ends)

The red-nosed reindeer stared at where his doefriend once stood and his smile was replaced by a saddened frown. His head hung low and his ears drooped.

"Rudolph!" A male voice calls

"Huh?" Rudolph says

The teenage buck turned around to his right and saw a human figure walking towards him. The hood of his winter jacket was up over his head, and he wore a black face mask over his mouth and nose for warm protection against the cold environment, but he slid them off as he approached Rudolph, revealing himself to be...

"Devon?!" Rudolph exclaims

"Hey. What do you think you're doing, running away like this? The Heartless are still out here, you know. Me and Luna were afraid they'd be after you." Devon asks

"I don't belong here, Devon. Nobody will ever understand me like you or Zoey do. I'm going away to find my own place in the world. So don't try and stop me." Rudolph says

"Rudolph... I know I can't stop you..." Devon says

The Keyblade Master places his right-hand on the side of the reindeer's neck, offering him comfort.

"...but as your friend, the least I can do is be here for you. For emotional support." Devon says

Rudolph stared at Devon with a surprised expression, but he soon smiled, touched by his friendship.

"Aww... Thanks, Devon." Rudolph says

Devon smiled and nodded his head.

"Alright, Rudolph. I'll follow you. Lead the way. " Devon says

With his Keyblade Master friend now joining him, the red-nosed reindeer took the lead and ventured onwards into the winter wilderness. Devon pulled his hood over his head and slipped his face mask on as he followed his reindeer friend. Wherever they would go, he would stay by Rudolph's side until he felt ready to return home.

Later on, Devon and Rudolph walked alongside one another across the snow with the Keyblade Master on the right and the red-nosed reindeer on his left, enjoying each other's company. Unknown to the two friends, the Sprites of the Northern Lights were watching over them. The four Christmas fairies flew down and perched themselves up on a snowy hill to the left of Devon and Rudolph, watching them as they passed by. As they continued walking, the young teen shivered as he felt the wind chill blow past him.

"Ooh... It's getting colder out here. We better find a place to settle down before we freeze." Devon says

Hearing his words, Aurora thrusts her hands forward and creates a colorful beam of light, which shines down on the entrance of a large cave ahead of Devon and Rudolph, much to their surprise.

"Oh. Well, that's... convenient." Devon says

Devon and Rudolph enter the cave and take a look around. It was slightly dark, but there was still plenty of light for them to see clearly. There were a few stalagmites sticking up from the ground, and some stalactites up in the ceiling, but they spread out far apart in the cave.

"Hello? Hello?" Rudolph says

"Guess no one's around." Devon says

"Well, we might as well sleep here." Rudolph says

Devon lifts Rudolph's bag pack off from his back and sets it down vertically against a stalagmite. The red-nosed reindeer lies down and rests his head on his bag like a pillow, while the young teen sits down and leans back against the reindeer's right-side, crossing his arms and placing his hands underneath his armpits. But just as they were heading to sleep, a voice speaks out inside the cave.

"Alright. Put up your dukes." A male voice says

"Huh?!" Devon and Rudolph say in unison with their eyes snapping open

A white, anthropomorphic, arctic fox with brown eyes approaches the young teen and adolescent buck from the cave with his fists up like a boxer. His name was Slyly, and he did not like having intruders in his turf.

"This is MY cave, ya big moose! I found it first!" Slyly says

"I'm not a moose, I'm a reindeer." Rudolph says

"And FYI, Mr. Fox, we didn't know anyone lived in here. Did you not hear us calling just a few seconds ago? I'm sure you would've at least heard an echo." Devon says

"Oh, a couple of wise guys, huh? Well, prepare to be evicted!" Slyly says shaking his right-fist

Slyly charges at the two boys as they rose up to their feet, but they easily counter with Rudolph lifting his right legs up and Devon stepping away to the left. The arctic fox dashes past them and runs into the cavern wall with a thud. He pushes himself away and turns left to face the Keyblade Master and the red-nosed reindeer again. His snout was bent upwards in a cartoonish manner, but it straightens out with a loud boing.

"I'm, uh... just warmin' up." Slyly says

The white fox holds his arms up like a strong muscle man and attacks again, leaping forward and grabbing onto Devon's right-leg.

"Ah! Hey!" Devon yells

Devon shakes his leg around, thrashing Slyly about wildly as he tried to throw him off.

"Ngh! Get... off!" Devon yells

Eventually, the young teen manages to throw the arctic fox off and sends him flying into the cave wall again with another thud. Slyly slides down on his back and lands on his feet in a daze. He throws two punches clumsily but shakes his head in recovery. In one last attempt, Slyly runs up the cave wall to the ceiling, then drops down onto Rudolph's back. Tugging on his ears, the white fox rides the reindeer like a wild bull.

"Come on! Say Uncle! Say it! Say it!" Slyly says

Rudolph runs through the cave with Slyly on his back, then heads straight for a stalactite, which causes the fox's eyes to widen. Slyly faceplants into the rock, while Rudolph runs underneath. Seconds later, he slides off and falls onto his backside, his eyes rolling in another daze. Just as he recovers, the crystal tip of Soul Calibur is pointed and held only inches away from Slyly's face. It's wielder, Devon, held a serious expression as he stood before the arctic fox with his eyes narrowed.

"Now you say it." Devon says in a low voice

Slyly gulps and held up his hands in surrender.

"Okay! Okay! Uncle!" Slyly says

Relaxing calmly with a sigh, Devon steps back and dismisses Soul Calibur from his hand as Rudolph walks up alongside him on his right, allowing Slyly to stand up and dust himself off.

"Now, how about we try this again." Devon says

"Eh, right. You twos got a name?" Slyly says

"Rudolph."

"Devon."

"The name's Slyly. Welcome to the cave."

"Nice to meet you." Rudolph says

"So, uh, whatcha running away from, kid?" Slyly asks

"Who says I'm running away from anything?" Rudolph says feeling slightly offended

"Ha! I can read ya like a book. Your family never understood ya, your friends, except for your pal Devon here, they all turned their backs on you. You couldn't take it anymore. So you packed up and you left." Slyly says

"Wow. You're good." Rudolph says impressed

"Yeah. Even I'll admit, that was an impressive guess." Devon says

"Here's a little secret, kid. When things get bad, and I mean real bad, just remember it could always be worse. Allow me to elaborate." Slyly says

(It Could Always Be Worse - Starts)

Slyly:
If the glass looks half empty,
And your prospects are low,
Attitude adjustment's the only way to go.
Things could be worse than that.

In an imaginative visualization, Devon, Rudolph, and Slyly are seen crawling on their bellies through a sizzling, hot desert of tan-orange sand with the heat of the sun beaming down on them.

Slyly:
You could be lost in the desert,
200 degrees,
No water around,
And lots of snakes and bees.

To make things worse for the trio, dozens of snakes slither towards the Keyblade Master, red-nosed reindeer, and arctic fox, followed by a swarm of bees, while they looked up in shock.

Returning to reality, Devon crossed his arms as he and Rudolph watched Slyly sing and jump onto a stalagmite, spinning around it.

Slyly:
Remember it's tough,
And it's cold out there,
Life sometimes can be unfair.

As Slyly continued singing, four female foxes appeared out of nowhere, walking out from behind the stalagmite and joining in.

Slyly:
So every step forward,
There's a step in reverse.
Things could be better,
They could always be worse.
Yes, things could be better in this big universe,
But remember it could always be worse.

Female foxes:
Remember it could always be worse.

Slyly and female foxes:
So for every step forward,
There's a step in reverse.
Things could be better,
They could always be worse.
Yes, things could be better
In this big universe,
But remember it could always be worse.
Remember it could always be worse.

Slyly:
Let me hear the band!

For the finale, the four female foxes held hands and spun around Slyly as he stood in the middle before spinning away.

Slyly and female foxes:
Remember it could always be...
Worse.

(It Could Always Be Worse - Ends)

As soon as he was finished with his song, Slyly looked up and he saw Rudolph's glowing nose.

"Say, uh, what's with the glow-in-the-dark schnoz?" Slyly asks

Rudolph's eyes widened in shock when he noticed his glowing nose and immediately turned away, trying to hide it.

"Uh, I don't know what you're talking about." Rudolph says

Slyly moves around for a better look at Rudolph's nose, but every time he does the teenage buck turns away.

"C'mon, kid. Let's have a look see." Slyly says

Rudolph sniffles embarrassingly two times with tears forming in his eyes, then turns around to face Slyly, who actually smiled upon seeing his nose.

"Go ahead and laugh. Everyone else does." Rudolph says

"Lighten up, will ya?" Slyly says

"Oh, sure. Make jokes. I've heard them all. My nose can stop traffic. I-I have a glowing personality." Rudolph says

Slyly held his mouth with his hands, stifling his laughter. Even Devon was trying to contain his laughter.

"You know, Rudolph, that actually is, kinda funny." Devon says elbowing Rudolph's left-side with a smile

The Keyblade Master, red-nosed reindeer, and white snow fox started to laugh hysterically at how funny Rudolph's nose actually was.

"Pffft! Ha ha haa! You're killing me, kid!" Slyly laughs

"Ha ha! Hey, is this a nose, or a Christmas ornament?" Devon jokes placing his right-arm around Rudolph's neck and pointing to the reindeer's red nose with his left index finger

The three friends continued to laugh, holding their sides and falling down on their backsides.

Returning to Christmas Village, Blitzen and Mitzi searched around for their son, but like Devon and Luna, they could not find him anywhere.

"Rudolph! Rudy!" Blitzen calls

As soon as they returned home, Blitzen and Mitzi noticed the note that Rudolph left behind, sitting on the haybed.

"Look. He left a note." Blitzen says

The two adult reindeer read the note with Rudolph's voice speaking the words in their minds.

Dear Mom and Dad,
Goodbye forever.
Love, Rudolph.

After reading the note, there were three knocks at the door.

"Hello?" A female voice says

Blitzen and Mitzi opened the door to see Zoey standing outside, greeting them with a happy smile on her face.

"Hi. Can I see Rudolph please?" Zoey greets

The two adult reindeer stared at Zoey silently until Mitzi broke out into tears, crying and sobbing as she went away into the house. Blitzen watched his wife leave, then turned back to Zoey.

"He ran away." Blitzen says

"What?!" Zoey says shocked

"He's gone. I... I'm sorry." Blitzen says

After saying that, the Reindeer Flyer leaves to console his wife and closes the door. Zoey stood in shock over what she just heard.

"Rudolph ran away?" Zoey says

"Zoey?" A female voice says

The teenage doe turns around to her left and she saw her Night Fury friend walking toward her.

"Luna?" Zoey says

"You're looking for Rudolph, aren't you?" Luna asks

"Yes. But I just learned that he ran away from home. Where's Devon?" Zoey says

"He went out into the wilderness to find him. I trust my rider with my heart, but I can't help but feel that he might need me." Luna says

Zoey stares at Luna with sympathy, understanding her love for Devon. Then, she gazes out into the frozen wilderness, knowing that Rudolph was out there somewhere, all sad and alone. Zoey soon put on a determined expression, feeling the need to find her boyfriend.

"Then, let's go find them together." Zoey says

Luna looks over at Zoey on her right and nods her head with a similar expression. And so, the Night Fury dragoness and the teenage doe ventured out into the North Pole to find their beloved boyfriends.

Back in Slyly's cave, Devon and Rudolph sat down with the arctic fox, relaxing on their backsides. As they did, Slyly looked over at Rudolph's bag pack with curiosity, and he couldn't help but wonder what his new friend had inside.

"So, uh, what's in the bag, Red?" Slyly asks

"Just stuff." Rudolph says

"Hey, if we're gonna be friends, no secrets." Slyly says

Slyly got up to his feet and picks up the green pack. But before he could pull the flap over to open it, Rudolph quickly grabbed his bag with his hooves, standing on his hind legs like a human.

"But, Slyly, it's private!" Rudolph says

The arctic fox and the red-nosed reindeer engaged in a tug-of-war with Rudolph pulling his bag one way and Slyly pulling the other way.

"Ngh! Come on! Let me see!" Slyly grunts

Devon steps in and tries to stop the struggle.

"Hey! Hey! C'mon, guys! Don't do this!" Devon says

Eventually, the flap of the green pack is pulled open, and all of Rudolph's personal possessions fly out onto the ground. Devon jumps back with a start, while Rudolph and Slyly fall down on their backsides. They recover and look down at the mess infront of them, then the red-nosed reindeer casts an angry glare at the arctic fox.

"Oh, now look what you did!" Rudolph says

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry." Slyly apologizes

Slyly gave his reindeer friend a big smile, then began to pick up Rudolph's possessions one by one. The first item he picked up was a portrait of Rudolph's with his parents, Blitzen on his right and Mitzi on his left. Slyly looked up at Rudolph with a kind smile before putting the family portrait back into the green pack. Next, the white grabbed the red scarf given by Santa and stuffed it inside. The third item that Slyly picked up was the teddy bear given to Rudolph when he visited Santa's Toy Factory as a baby buck. Slyly looks at the stuffed animal with a look of intrigue.

"Hmm. A teddy bear, eh?" Slyly says

Slyly stuffs the teddy bear into Rudolph's pack, then picks up Zoey's heart-shaped pendant.

"So, uh, who gave you this?" Slyly says

"I don't want to talk about it." Rudolph says looking away to the right

"Say no more, kid. Love is for suckers." Slyly says

After putting away the pendant, the white fox stretches his arms and lets out a yawn.

"Well, let's catch some shut eye, huh?" Slyly says

"I agree. It's late enough as it is. We should all get some rest." Devon says

And so, the three friends settled in for the night. Rudolph lies down on the ground, folding his legs, and Devon sat down and rests his back against the right-side of his body, while Slyly laid flat on his stomach, resting his head on his arms.

Over in Christmas Village, Blitzen and Mitzi stood in the parlor of Santa's house, gazing out at the snowy mountains and feeling worried for their son.

"Rudolph's out there. Somewhere." Blitzen says

The two reindeer turned to their right and faced Santa Claus, who sat in his red chair and stroked his white beard with his left-hand in concern.

"Please, Santa. You must help us find him. He's never been on his own before." Mitzi says

Suddenly, a door opens from the right-side of the room and two more visitors entered the parlor. It was Zoey's parents.

"Oh, Santa, we can't find Zoey anywhere." Zoey's Mother says

"Oh, dear. Well, don't you worry. I'm sure Devon and Luna went out to find them, but I'll send out a search party to help. I promise. We'll have everyone home for Christmas." Santa says

Elsewhere in Santa's house, Boone and Doggle were playing cards when they heard the bell on the counter ringing. They looked over and saw Santa standing at the counter.

"Boone! Doggle!" Santa calls

The two elves immediately dropped their cards and stand up straight, giving their chief a soldier's salute.

"I have an important job for you." Santa says

"Even after we let you down last time?" Boone asks

"Everyone deserves a second chance, Boone." Santa says smiling

Back in Slyly's cave, the Keyblade Master, red-nosed reindeer, and arctic fox were sound asleep at their respective sides. Devon slept with Rudolph on one side of the cave, while Slyly slept across from them on the other side.

The night slowly passed for the trio until Slyly awakens with his left-eye opening up. He looks over at his friends, making sure they were asleep, then tiptoes quietly to Rudolph's pack. The arctic fox reaches inside and takes out the teddy bear, then returns to his spot and cuddles with the stuffed animal in his left-arm as he went back to sleep, happily sucking his left-thumb like a baby. Devon and Rudolph both opened one eye and watched Slyly as he slept comfortably, then they glanced at each other with a smile before returning to sleep as well.

Elsewhere in the winter wilderness, a new day dawns for the North Pole as morning arrives over the snowy hills and plains. Luna and Zoey walked together across the snow, continuing their search for Devon and Rudolph until they reached Grand Chasm, where Stormella's ice bridge stretched across the large, deep fissure in the frozen earth.

"You think they went this way, Zoey?" Luna asks looking at the teenage doe on her right

"I'm not sure, Luna, but we've got to find Devon and Rudolph. Even if it means crossing Stormella's bridge." Zoey says

Luna and Zoey stared out at the bridge for a moment, knowing well enough the consequences that comes from crossing it. Determined to find their beloved boyfriends, the Night Fury dragoness and female reindeer began making the cross over the chasm with Zoey stepping out onto the bridge first, followed by Luna. Little did the two females know that they were being watched.

Inside her ice castle, Stormella stood bent over her crystal ball, which stood on a round ice table, observing Luna and Zoey with a sinister smile on her face as they walked across her bridge. The witch's moment had finally come.

"Ooh, heh heh heh. Just as Lord Thanatos predicted." Stormella chuckles

Stormella rises up straight and turns to her penguin servant on her right.

"This is what we've been waiting for, Ridley. Prepare the sleigh." Stormella says

Back outside, Luna and Zoey reach the other side of the chasm and they step off the ice bridge.

"Rudolph! Devon!" Zoey calls

"Where could they be?" Luna says

Suddenly, one of Stormella's wolves appears over the top of a small hill, growling and licking its chops hungrily. Luna quickly moved infront of Zoey to defend her reindeer friend, returning the threat with some growls and snarls of her own. Soon, the other two wolves joined their sibling, each snarling menacingly at the two girls. Luna knew that she could take on three wolves by herself, but right now her first priority was to get Zoey to safety. Acting fast, she said only one word.

"Run!" Luna yells

The Night Fury dragoness and female reindeer immediately took off, fleeing from the gray wolves that chased after them. Luna and Zoey continued running, but stopped short when a group of Neoshadow Heartless appeared infront of them, emerging from shadowy portals in the snow. They quickly turned and run off in another direction, only for another group of Neoshadows to appear and block their path. The two girls kept on running until they encounter Stormella and Ridley, sliding to a stop only a few feet infront of them.

"Naughty, naughty." Ridley says waving his right index finger

"You crossed my bridge." Stormella says

Stormella reaches inside her robes and takes out her ice wand in her right-hand.

"And thanks to you, I get to make the storm that will blow away Santa for good." Stormella says

In one last ditch attempt to flee, Luna and Zoey make a run for the bridge, but Stormella points her wand and creates a huge block of ice at the start of the bridge, cutting off their escape and forcing the two female creatures to stop. The Ice Witch blows the frost from the tip of her wand and watched the Night Fury dragoness and teenage doe as they turned around to face her. Stormella's wolves and the Heartless surrounded Luna and Zoey, trapping them in a corner.

"Sorry, sweeties. Nowhere to run. And nowhere to hide." Stormella says

A tall, dark, hooded figure wearing a black cloak walks past Stormella and Ridley and approaches the female Night Fury and teenage buck until he stops only a few feet infront of them. He pulls back his hood, revealing his identity to Luna and Zoey, who gazed up with terrified expressions.

"Lord Thanatos!" Luna gasps

The dark villain said nothing and gave the two girls an evil smile as he continued to stare down at them with his luminous gaze. Unknown to everyone, the Sprites of the Northern Lights, Aurora, Sparkle, Glitter, and Twinkle had witnessed Luna and Zoey's capture from above and they quickly flew off to find Devon and Rudolph, who were now their only hope.

Brought back to Stormella's Ice Castle, Luna and Zoey were both thrown into a cell together in a frozen dungeon, which had two other empty cells, illuminated by three torches. Four bars slammed down as the cell closed and the Night Fury dragoness and female reindeer were left alone in the ice dungeon. The two girls rose up from their haunches and walk up to the bars of the cell, gazing out at their prison.

"Oh, Luna. What have we done?" Zoey says

Luna wasn't sure how to respond. She and Zoey both crossed Stormella's bridge, which they were told to avoid at all costs. And to make matters worse, Lord Thanatos was here also. Things were looking pretty bleak for Christmas and the rest of the holiday world.

Author's Note: Apologies for the long wait. It's been very busy for me, spending time with my family for Christmas and New Year's Eve. And then afterwards, I've been dealing with a nasty cold recently in the past week, but I'm still in the game. Anyways, back to the story. Rudolph has run away from home, but Devon is there to comfort him, and they make a new friend in Slyly, the arctic fox. Luna and Zoey set out to find their boyfriends, but instead are captured by Stormella and Lord Thanatos. How long until our heroes learn the bad news? Let me know what you guys think. No flames please. Hope you guys like and don't forget to review!
