Chapter 41:
"How is she, Sasuke?" Kakashi asked,
"She's weak, but she's recovering quickly." Sasuke affirmed, Naruto and Misaki have always been able to recover faster than normal people, Naruto more so with Kurama inside him.
Sasuke held Misaki close to him, his grip not once relenting as he watched his surroundings, for the next time Madara shows himself.
"Kakashi-sensei, Sasuke-kun, Misaki?!" Kamui opened, this time it was Sakura who came out of the timespace.
"Sakura, why are you here?" Sasuke asked.
"She was in the timespace with Obito, Sakura. What is going on over there?"
"Kakashi-sensei! Your left eye!"
"It all happened so quickly, but I think Madara stole my sharingan," Kakashi explained.
"Let me take a look sensei" Sakura approached Kakashi, but he held out his hands.
"Before me, please take a look at Misaki first, she's in far worse shape than I am" Kakashi instructed. She tried to avoid looking at her, Sakura hated the fact that even in this situation, even in that state, she didn't like seeing Sasuke holding on to Misaki in that manner.
Like his whole world could crumble if he so much as loosens his grip.
"Sasuke, let me take a look at Misaki" Sakura knelt before them, but instead of letting her go, he only just nodded at Sakura.
"In any case, what happened to Obito? I'm sure Madara used the Kamui to teleport himself there!" Kakashi returned to his unanswered question.
"In a flash, I was back out here, so… Madara…We're in trouble! Obito had reached his limit, and couldn't move, which means Madara's going to get Obito's Rinnegan!" Sakura rushed.

It's so cold… and light, is this what death feels like? Misaki thought she had been falling softly and slowly in this dark abyss, endless and unchanging.
Thousands of thoughts have already come and gone through her mind. Did Naruto make it, did Obito succeed? Misaki simply relishes the thought that even if Obito couldn't, their father would have done anything to save Naruto.

"Are you Kira? It figures a death god would have rinnegan" Misaki barely raised her head to acknowledge her visitor.
"It seems introductions are still in order, my name is-"
"I know who you are, progenitor of nin . Madara and Obito are both quite a fan of your legend" Misaki lay her head once more.
"If I'm seeing you then I'm probably really dead"
"As I said, not quite"
"What do you mean by that?" Misaki sat up to properly face the ancient one.
"You underestimate your will to cling to life and the love of the people who love you. Cherish it, you have touched their lives as much as they touch yours. You have always saved them, now let them save you" Hagoromo pat Misaki's head before his palm began to glow and blind Misaki in a gold sheet of bright light.

Once Naruto had healed Kakashi's eyes as hadn't lost in in the first place, he place walked to Sasuke who was still holding Misaki close to him. Naruto took his sister in his arms and hugged her close.
"You have always saved me, this time, I'll save you" Light poured from him as Misaki's complexion began to brighten up, breathing life into her. Naruto then placed the red head in Kakashi's arms.
Kakashi watched the scene before him, it felt as if only yesterday they were children aspiring for more, now they have come to surpass their dreams, and they still haven;t stop growing.
"It might be fate that you are reunited like this, Sasuke, if your don't want to say what you're thinking right now, that's fine, but you cannot dispute you were once teammates"
"In front! He's coming!" Kakashi warned, he might not have the sharingan now, but he has become so attuned with using it that he is still able to sense it.
"Kakashi sensei we leave Misaki in your care" Naruto said and turned to face their upcoming opponent.
"You haven't forgotten your first lesson then"
"Of course not, the answer is teamwork!" Naruto answered his sensei. Madara materialized before them, draggin Obito with him.
"Then dying together can also be considered teamwork eh?"
Kakashi observed Madara with keen eyes, heavily comparing him to his state before he entered the time space dimension of Obito's mangekyou sharingan. Madara now stood before them with both rinnegan and his halved body now whole and healed like he wasn't decapitated in the first place.
"Obito!" Naruto called out to his new comrade but despite the appearance of standing remained unresponsive. Instead the black parasite attached to his body did.
"Obito is gone now, I've taken over his body, it seems he was hoping to right his wrongdoings even that tiny brat gave the last of her strength so he could leave a future to you all, how convenient that woud have been for him right? Just like spoiled brats" Black Zetsu taunted.
Kakashi recalled what happened before Obito and Sakura took Naruto to the time space, Obito was already at wits end, when he had a burst of strength to oppose Madara and steal Naruto away.
Kakashi watched as Sakura shaked and staggered backwards before recklessly sprung forth towards Madara.
"Sakura!" Naruto and Sasuke both followed after the kunoichi, one worried and one intent on not wasting this opening to attack,
It could have spelt disaster for Sakura if it wasn't for her mastery of Tsunade's Mitotic Regeneration technique that allowed her to continue attacking despite sustaining a mortal wound. Whatever leverage she had on attacking Madara was lost when her fist couldn't connect.
Sasuke didn't hesitate to attack once he was within reach, thankfully Naruto made it in time, pulling Sakura away before any more damage can be made.
"Sakura-chan are you alright?" Naruto asked pulling out the black rod.
"I'm fine Naruto" Sakura assured, but Sakura's gaze was onto Sasuke. He didn't care about me
"Naruto!"
"Yeah, I know there is two of them"
"Madara's got four more shadows now" but that was the least of their problems as Madara took to the skies.
"Planetary Devastation!"
The ground shook and boulders and boulders rose into the air
"This is the power of the six paths,?!"
"He's way bigger than before and there's more of them" Naruto confirmed.
"Stop getting distracted by what's above his shadows on the ground with us" Sasuke, frustrated that they are disregarding the danger closer to them.
"They are a bit more solid and larger than raindrops," Madara launched his attack against them simultaneously, splitting Naruto to deal with his shadow and Sasuke to neutralize his planetary devastation.
Naruto needed a way to figure out how to finish the shadows quickly, so he can help Sasuke with eliminating the meteorites, when burst of gold sprung from the ground like trees and entrapped each shadows, ink black characters quickly wrapped around the golden roots sealing them in place.
"I got your back Naruto '' from Kakashi's hold Misaki opened her eyes, she thanked Kakashi before cracking her neck to release the built up tension.
"Misaki?!" Sakura exclaimed as the red head approached her forming twin katanas of gold in her hands.
"Sorry to be a burden Sakura but, could you help me up there" Misaki gestured to the skies.
"You mean, throw you?" Sakura exclaimed once again Misaki merely smiled and branched her body as Sakura took hold of her and launched her into the sky.
Sasuke restlessly decimated meteorite after meteorite when beside him a meteorite fell apart, looking closely something bright jumped forward, destroying yet another meteorite, and before he knew it, Misaki landed on the tip of the sword of his susanoo. Their eyes locked for a fraction of a second before Misaki nodded at him and he swung his sword and launched her even higher up, he watched her for a second before following her example.
Yet despite the two of them working together, the meteorites kept coming their way.
Soon, they both noticed it at the same time, when Madara had begun to sway the moon to his bidding. Suddenly there were bigger things than the meteorites.
"This is bad" Not wasting a second, Sasuke extended his susanoo to grab Misaki as they shot down for the others.
"I'll pulverize all the meteorites with these next, so don't worry you two stick close to me" Naruto created several rasen shurinken above them oblivious to what was happening with Madara and the moon.
His technique engulfed the meteorites forming a haze of rubble and smoke when suddenly Sasuke's giant susanoo passed by the blanket of dirt.
"Sasuke don't come down so suddenly, I could have hit -" Sasuke disregarded his ramblings and landed on top of them.
"And land more sofly won't you!" Naruto continued.
"Just shut up and stay still" Sasuke said, covering them and surrounding them with susanoo.

"It's finally started, I'm done with this!" White Tobi announced abandoning his wooden statue, as it too fell victim to the quacking ground.
"What the hell is going on!" Natsumi grumbled.
"Look over there" Neji pointed to the other battlefield, where planet like boulders were raining down.
"No, is that where-" Kazumi gasped, but Itachi's attention was on the moon, watching is as it began to turn red, almost as if reflecting a sharingan.
"Kazumi!" Itachi tried to reach out towards the healer, but it was too late, when the flash of red swept across the land, they lost control of themselves, powerless when MAdara;s deep forest emergence encapsulated them into a cocoon to serve as a chakra source for the infinite tsukiyomi.

Inside Sasuke's susanoo, Naruto felt what happened to their brothers and sisters in arm, so in a very Naruto fashion he sprinted to help, well he tried. Until Sasuke stopped him.
"You can't go out there, without this susanoo that my eye made, you'de get bound up in his genjutsu as well. If we fail then this is all over, we need to bide out time" Sasuke cautioned.
"He is right, for now everyone is still alive, the best chance we have to save them is by dispelling the infinite tsukiyomi" Misaki placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder, though Naruto can feel it from the way her hand trembled ever so slightly, Misaki is one nerve away from darting out herself. Naruto placed a hand on top of hers, silently comforting her thoughts.
"What's going on outside, Sasuke?" Sakura asked.
"What's the difference does it make knowing that? There is nothing you can do right now" Sasuke snapped.
"Sasuke that is not the point we also want to know," Kakashi gestured to the twins, silently comforting each other. Even though Sasuke's eyes softened by a fraction of a bit, he still stood his ground on keeping the outside situation a mystery to the people with him.
"Kakashi you are being like Sakura right now, just keep quiet for a bit"
"We need to work as a team! We need to work as a team right now against Madara" Naruto began going off on Sasuke in a typical Kushina way.
"That's right, there is nothing I can do right now, if you can analyze whats on the outside right now, Sasuke you should be the one to lead the squad." Kakashi instructed.
"Huh!? I doubt he's better at planning than either your or Sakura, although he maybe better than me" Misaki decided it was time and covered Naruto's mouth before he can go on.
"Anyway, Madara has activated his technique, it's a powerful genjutsu, I suspect everyone outside has fallen under its spell, we might be the only ones left unaffected" Sasuke revealed.
"You mean right about now, everyone is -"
"Inside a dream"
"So when can we get out of here?"
"The jutsu runs on moonlight, which will gradually wane, but as long as there is light, it's useless" Sasuke explained, all that is left for them to do was to wait until the technique has settled.
"Now is probably the perfect time to gather strength" Misaki said giving everyone a food pills made by Kaede.
"Kaede-kachan made them before we left for the island" Naruto Kakashi and Sakura had solemn looks on their faces at the mention of the feisty medical nin. Misaki walked towards Sasuke who was staring up at what's beyond his susanoo, probably keeping an eye on when the light will let up.
"Here," Misaki said handing him the food pill. Sasuke looked at her, a second too long before taking the pill from her hand and swallowing it without much hesitation.
Misaki then returned and sat beside Kakashi, who was still staring at his food pill. He might not show it, but he is at wit's end trying to get his mind to calm down, but all of them seem to fly to his wife.
"You know you're supposed to swallow it right?" Misaki pipped, catching Kakashi's attention. He quickly slid the pill under his mask and swallowed the homemade pill then placing a hand to pat Misaki on the head. She was smiling but her eyes reflected everything he was feeling.
"Get ready" Sasuke announced as susanoo began to unfurl around them, revealing what has become to the world beyond it. Vines and roots of a singular tree spread across and beyond the battlefield. Each stem and branch littered with cocoon like prison for each and every shinobi. All of them advanced forward towards their enemy, both who seem remained unaffected by the technique.
"Sasuke how do we dispel this technique" Naruto asked.
"A genjutsu created by rinnegan can only be dealt using rinnegan, probably" Sasuke theorized. Before them Madara landed donning an eye that mirrored the moon above them.
"All that is left to do is to get rid of them, which I Madara, the world's savior will do"
"Be careful, we're surrounded in all direction by four of his shadows" Sasuke warned.
"I will not allow you to go any further, I just severed the karmic cycle of this world, I have freed humankind, from their suffering, their pain and their futility"
"And their will, their will to fight, to laugh, to live…to love" Misaki continued.
"All of this is just a lie!" Naruto screamed.
"Naruto, you're the one who's interfering, with everyone's happiness just look at the world now, all fighting between shinobi has ceased, I've transformed hell into heaven I've finally corrected Hashirama's mistake," Madara continued.
"What do you mean the first hokage's mistake?" Sakura asked.
"Konoha may not want to acknowledge it, but Hashirama ultimately failed in reforming the shinobi world, in the beginning both Hashirama and I had the same goals, and we worked together, we tried to change the shinobi world, that sent out barely grown children out to war, the two of us created the shinobi village, however, that does not result in true peace, people cannot show each other their true feelings, fear, suspicion, and resentment never subside, my opinions were pushed aside, and the shinobi world continued in Hashirama's vision" Madara revealed the reason behind all his actions, taking them back to the time of the first great ninja war, a time when two young shinobi from rival clans came together to create a world they long for, a world of peace.
"Just know this, it's all over '' whether or not Madara has ended his speech or not, would not matter as a tainted black hand pierced through him, and none of it came form their side.
"You're wrong Madara, you are not the savior, nor is this the end of things," Black Zetsu stood behind Madara, the three eyed man completely in his control. They watched in confusion as the scene unfolded before them, just when they were figuring out Madara and his intentions, something devastatingly new adds into the equation.
"How can you say that you, unlike Obito, are able to completely take advantage of others, isn't that presumptuous to think that you are alone and different, my dead Madara, you have also been inside a phantom dream, inside a dream that I concocted" Black Zetsu chided.
"Black Zetsu, what are you saying? I created you! You are my will incarnate,"
"Wrong again, my will is Kaguya"s" Black Zetsu revealed.
"What's going on, are they having a falling out in this stage of the fight?" Kakashi asked, it was unnerving to watch the man that wiped out a lot of people and hurt countless more at the mercy of another one, one unknown to them.
"No, that's not it, he mentioned Kaguya," Sasuke countered.
"Huh? Kaguya?" all of them asked.
"Kaguya, that's the name the rikodo-senin mentioned,"
"NARUTO!" Misaki gasped as she felt her markers throb like something was pulling at it, at the same time, Madara began screaming in agony, unable to do anything completely in the palm of black zetsu's hand.
"What the hell is with this guy, this chakra is ridiculous!"
"All of Madara's shadow have disappeared, something is about to happen!" Sasuke warned, and true enough the ground began to shake and crack.
And burst forth from the grounds.
"It's chakra!" a burst of chakra that sent them all flying off their feet as it hurried towards Madara.
"Is he absorbing all the chakra erupting from the ground?" Kakashi asked as he landed.
"Were is all this thick potent chakra coming from?" Sakura added.
"Everyone, that chakra is from everyone trapped inside the genjutsu" Misaki explained, one hand helping her balance herself as she landed, another still clutching her chest, as the pulling sensation continued.
"This is really bad Sasuke, this chakra is much stronger than the juubi! What should we do Sasuke?"
"Stop them before they move," Sasuke answered, creating a chidori katana in his left hand
"Go Naruto!"
"You mean while they're still swelling up right?" their weapons in hand both Naruto and Sasuke, yet even as Madara's form swelled, his hair, growing ridiculous lengths grabbed a hold of them.
At the sight of her teammates, Sakura began to run towards them to offer their aid, but Kakashi blocked her path.
"Don't Sakura!"
"But"
"Action without plan is meaningless" Kakashi warned.
"Damn it, I can't move, Sasuke! We need to stop him, if he drains everyone all their chakra they will die!" Naruto called out.
"Worry not, nobody is dying, the infinite tsukiyomi upon the populace she kept them alive and preserved, in order to form into her soldiers"
"What do you mean form?"
"You seem denser than Itachi, how can you use ordinary soldier in combat, she converted them into white zetsu, what's left of those who were under the previous infinite tsuikiyomi, that's what white zetsus are. They have been transformed ever so slowly overtime," Black Zetsu revealed.
"Hoy, are you saying everyone is going to turn into those white things,"
"What are you saying black zetsu the infinite tsukuyomi is an uchia jutsu, one that brings eternal peace into the shinobi world"
"Madara, I've been alive for eons more than you, since finding the stone tablet left by Hagoromo, I've had the time to make revisions, you see the infinite tsukuyomi is not just a technique that confers peaceful dreams, it's a jutsu to amass enormous amounts of chakra, for individuals enslaved in it," Black Zetsu clarified.
"For what purpose?"
"You acted purely for that purpose, purpose of my or rather Kaguya's will" Black Zetsu continuously taunted Madara with that truth, playing with the turmoil of his emotions as his body contorted to incredible masses to accommodate that rapidly absorbed chakra.
Black Zetsu engulfed Madara's form as it slowly left Obito's body and just when Madara was about to explode in a powerful gust of pure thick chakra, his body settled and began to shrunk, dropping Obito like disposed garbage in the process.
"Obito"
In Madara's place, was a beautiful woman with long white hair and white bottomless eyes, carrying the same eye that opened upon Madara's forehead.
The woman from Otsusuki Hagoromo's story, his mother.
