Thank you so much to everyone who left kudos, favorited my fic or left comments, I really, really appreciate you guys and your support. It means so much to me to know that people enjoy my writing. So this chapter will address some rather big change to Canon that Flashpoint created in this world. Let me know what you think about those, I was really, really nervous about going down this route….

Chapter 61

When it's family, you trust them and your heart's an open door when it's family, you tolerate what you'd kill others for you justify mistakes try to solve the problems day to day in the family

Sara

She wasn't sure what to feel concerning their idea of Ollie meeting with Talia. She had never met Ra's al Ghul's firstborn in person but heard many stories about her. It were those stories that made her worry about how smart their plan actually was. As far as she knew, Talia had been very fond of her father, at least more so than Nyssa, and Nyssa had been very loyal towards him, at least during her time in the League, before and after they had released her. It had slightly changed after her death, at least according to what Ollie had told her, which to be fair wasn't much. Her husband didn't like to talk about that year after her death, and she respected that. He knew she was here to listen, if he felt the need to share the pain and struggles he had faced after Malcolm had killed her, but she wasn't going to pry or force him to tell her what had happened during those months. There was no need to rip open those wounds against his will. And the last thing she wanted to do was to cause him anymore pain. She had been the source of enough of that in his life.

To say she was worried about her husband's encounter with her ex-girlfriend's older sister was a rather big understatement, if she was completely honest with herself. This entire operation could go south real fast and the consequences could be deadly. Ollie was good, Ollie was really good, but she was sure Talia was better. She had been the one providing some of Ollie's training, after all. True, he had defeated Ra's in the end, but Sara was pretty sure luck had played an enormous part in that. And she meant in no way to diminish the Green Arrow's skills or not acknowledge just how formidable a fighter he was, because he was one of the best out there, there was no question of that but Ra's al Ghul had been the leader of the League of Assassins for centuries, there was no comparison. Ollie had gotten lucky against Nyssa during their first encounter, his physic more than anything had work to his advantage because in the end, when it came down to brute force, her husband would more than likely always win against a female opponent, but when it came to experience and the sheer knowledge both al Ghul sisters had about fighting techniques and battle strategies, Ollie would lose. Both Talia and Nyssa had been trained in a lot of different fighting styles from childhood on. They had mastered more fighting techniques than the average person even knew existed. Yes, Ollie had been trained in more than one technique too and crafted his own personal fight strategy from those. Something that was uniquely the Green Arrow's. But Talia knew his style, knew how he worked, knew him. If she had taught him, she understood exactly who he was in a battle, and that would be his biggest disadvantage. If she had taught him, it meant she had studied him and yes, Sara was sure Ollie's style had changed again since then but still… she understood the basis on which his style as a fighter was built on and that gave Talia an advantage he didn't have. Knowing an opponent's origin, understanding their journey of becoming a fighter, was knowledge that gave you one hell of an advantage in battle.

An advantage that could cost him his life.

She wished she could go with him and give him an advantage of his own to even it out. If she weren't pregnant, if Mila wouldn't keep her from using said advantage against Ollie's enemies... maybe she would've been able to give him the edge he needed against Prometheus, but it didn't matter right now. Because she was pregnant, and Mila was keeping her from "singing" for the Green Arrow. Ollie's moniker for what Team Arrow had duped the Canary Cry always put a smile on her face. Especially knowing why he had started to refer to it as singing. She had been in a pretty dark headspace after she had found out about the gene mutation that had taken part in her body because of the particle accelerator explosion in Central City. All she had wanted was to make sure her mom was alright before disappearing for what she had assumed to be for good, certain that the League and Nyssa would eventually find her and she'd pay for her disobedience with her life.

She never would've expected her visit to end the way it had.

Ollie had helped her get through this new challenge in her life. He had trained and researched with her tirelessly. And always tried to stay positive, give it an optimistic spin. Not make her feel like a freak and her life was falling apart once again, giving her yet another reason to feel isolated and ostracized from the rest of society and her family and friends. She had once again felt she was putting them in danger, and wasn't sure whether staying had been the right choice, Ollie had been there for her, listened to her worries, shared his thoughts and feelings and made her understand that not having to deal with it alone was exactly what she had needed. Having him by her side, helping her understand what was going on with her, was just what she had needed.

"Sing for me, Pretty Bird" while training, "sing for me, Canary" on the field. It had been as much a warning to his team as a way of letting her know it was safe for her to use her sonic scream against their enemies without incapacitating him, too. It had also been his way of letting her know nothing had changed between them. She was still just Sara, his Pretty Bird, to him. And she had loved him for it. For knowing her the way he did, for making sure she knew he still loved her the same, no matter what. That the possibility of her accidentally wounding or even killing him changed nothing about the way he felt about her and the commitment he had made to her. This had made sure more than anything else he had told her during that time that she knew it was a risk he was willing to take. That she was still worth the risk of his own life to him, just like he had made her understand on Lian Yu. She hadn't been sure at the time if it was a risk she was willing to take. But Ollie was nothing if not persistent and he had helped her analyze how her new powers worked and use that knowledge to control them better. He had been so proud of her for the smallest steps towards controlling her powers that she had achieved during their "training" if they could call it that. Yes, Ollie had helped her get the hang of it and made her look at her Canary Cry as a gift more than a curse. And different from the rest of his team, he had understood why she never relied on it and only used it as a last-ditch effort than her entire battle strategy. She was good at hand to hand, she had rarely needed the Canary Bombs before she had gotten her Cry, so she was using it the same way she had used the small devices she had invented herself and which had played a part in the powers the explosion had forced upon her.

The Canary Cry was to her what Ollie's flechettes were to him. He relied on his bow and arrows, but had them just in case. She knew what she was capable of on the battlefield without superpowers, she'd never solely rely on them. She didn't need them to succeed against her enemies. And using her powers still always came with a risk, even now that she had nearly perfected her use of it. It still caused a lot of property damage and could seriously wound or possibly even kill innocent people if she wasn't aware of their presence while using it. Not a risk she was willing to take if it could be at all avoided.

Sara had wondered, after she had adjusted to being alive again, at least a little... she had wondered whether the Lazarus Pit had changed more than just her skin and bones and mind. She hadn't dared to find out for a while, longer than she cared to admit. She had been scared to find out. Scared of what the result may be. But she didn't know which outcome she had dreaded more; the Lazarus Pit having reset her body all the way back to how it had been before her fateful trip to Central City or it only having made the more superficial changes to her body that were visible to all, her skin, her bones and of course her organs. So, she had procrastinated finding out. Until Ollie had asked her about it during one of their phone calls. She had hesitated to answer him, and he had seen right through her, known exactly what her stalling meant. He had given her the strength to find out that the Lazarus Pit had healed her skin and bones and, in exchange, messed up her mind, but it hadn't changed her genes. It hadn't reset her body all the way back to how it had been before that ill-fated day in Central City.

The gene mutation had not been reversed.

She guessed that answered the question she and Ollie had had from the moment they had found out about it; whether or not it was like an illness. Had it been like a disease, the Lazarus Pit would've cured her from it. But if it was something that was a part of her DNA now, a part of her body that it recognized as not having been inflicted on her through outside forces, it meant it truly was a part of who she was now. It belonged to her just like her bones, her cells, her blood. It wasn't something that was infecting her. That knowledge was the one good thing that had come from the Lazarus Pit. It had eased her mind on whether the mutation was something that would slowly destroy her from the inside, whether it was an illness that could kill her. It obviously wasn't, and she was grateful for that. But that knowledge led to yet another thing to worry about.

The mutation was in her genes. That meant it was genetic.

Was it acting like a hereditary disease? Was it something Mila could inherit? Could Ollie and her baby girl be born with the same gene mutation she now had? And if so, what would it mean for her? If she would end up with the same powers as her mother, would she have them from the moment she was born, or would they develop over time? It had been something neither she nor Ollie had dared to think, even less talk about while they had decided to give Mila up for adoption. To think about it, to entertain that possibility, would've made it almost impossible for them to give her up. The risk of her being rejected if she were different, if it was something she'd inherited, was unbearable. So they had repressed that possibility. Foolishly maybe, but they had not been in the right mental state to deal with that on top of everything else they'd been dealing with. And even after… But now, now that the date of their daughter's birth was getting closer, she was starting to wonder about that and was sure so was Ollie. What if her baby's cries had the possibility of being sonic? She doubted a baby would be able to know the difference between which vocal cords to use for a normal human cry or a sonic one. It had been challenging for herself to learn to switch between the different frequencies. And figuring out how to not use the Canary Cry or use it on purpose.

She wasn't sure what Ollie and she would do if their little baby girl were to cry at a sonic frequency. Well, nothing they could do about that right now. It was a hill they'd climb on if they had to. They'd do what they always had, just roll with it and figure it out along the way.

It made more sense for them to spend their energy on the current issues instead of a what if scenario that might never come to pass. She didn't know how her meta gene would affect her daughter, but one thing she knew for sure was the fact that Talia would know exactly which one of her former students Ollie would be talking about. The al Ghul's never forgot a student. So, if her man was right, and he usually was, and Talia had trained Prometheus, she would be able to give him the answers he was seeking and that might help him get ahead of his enemy. The trouble would be to get Talia to share it with Ollie. She was sure whatever had driven Talia to train him, whatever fondness she might have had towards him, would no longer be there, not after he had killed her father. And that was the issue. She was the one person who could give him one of the most important, probably game changing information, but she had no incentive to share her knowledge with her former student. Ollie needed something that would give him some leverage, something he could exchange for the information, something Talia wouldn't be able to refuse. There had to be something she wanted but couldn't get herself… Of course!

The sword.

If Ollie still had the sword used to kill Ra's, maybe Talia would be willing to give him some information in exchange for the weapon that killed her father. It had been his own sword that had ended up taking the Demon Head's life, after all. A sword that had been in their family for centuries. She really hoped Ollie still had it and hadn't given it to Nyssa. Getting it back from the younger al Ghul sister just to hand it over to Talia would be a lot more trouble than they needed. There was no love lost between the siblings. Especially not on Nyssa's side. She had felt both abandoned and betrayed by her older sister, and Sara was pretty sure there was no way she'd hand the sword over to Ollie, knowing what he was going to do with it. And she was pretty sure he wouldn't lie to her. Even less now, now that Ollie and she had gotten back together. She seriously doubted Nyssa would be happy for them and leave it at that... especially given the reaction from both Laurel and Felicity given their situation. Her ex-girlfriend was a lot more intense than both of Ollie's combined. Yes, Sara had no issues admitting that Nyssa's reaction to her pregnancy and marriage would probably not be in favor of her and Ollie. Better to keep her out of it. If at all possible.

She had been so deep in thought, wondering what Oliver meeting with Talia might lead to, that she hadn't heard the door to the roof terrace and was startled when the man in question called out to his baby sister. A part of her was appalled by her lack of notice of the new presence that had entered their sanctuary and how she hadn't been aware of her surroundings. The other part was surprised by just how comfortable and safe she felt in Ollie's presence and how much she trusted him to keep her and Mila safe. But if there was one thing she knew for sure, it was the fact that Ollie would never let anything happen to them if he could help it, that there was nothing he wouldn't do to keep them safe. That knowledge more than anything led to her giving herself permission to relax and just be without always being aware of her surroundings especially within the confines of their home, even though the roof terrace was less secure than the rest of their apartment, it would prove difficult to get up here and therefore still provided a sense of security. Of course, Sara more than most was aware that safety and security were an illusion built on a smoke screen. There was no such thing. Despite that, her home, both the apartment and Ollie gave her just that.

Sara felt her husband's lips on her temple, a quiet show of apology for startling her, she was sure, before he addressed his sister.

She relaxed again and stayed where she was, not making a sound or moving a muscle, letting Ollie and Thea interact with a sense of privacy, she was pretty sure the man acting as her mattress right now was aware of the fact that she wasn't actually asleep, but she felt Thea might be less skittish if she thought the conversation was between her and her brother. She felt a little guilty about it, but at the same time knew this was a conversation the siblings needed to have. But doubted Ollie would actually allow to happen, if given a choice, and she was simply trying to provide him with some support and comfort. Sara knew how difficult it was for him to talk about his feelings in general, and to Speedy in particular. She was his baby sister. They had a nearly ten-year age difference, and he had always tried to protect Thea from everything, including or especially his own shortcomings and struggles. She could feel and hear his hesitancy to go on and explain what had happened last night, so she took the hand he had previously moved from its place on her stomach and interlocked it with hers, giving him quiet support and strength to go on, if that was what he wanted to do, or leave it if he chose to. She could feel him squeezing her hand for a moment before his entire focus was on his sister again.

"Ollie, you don't have to... it's alright. I'm not here to make you tell me what happened. I was just..." Thea had grown up so much in the last three years. She had gotten so much more mature and seemed to have a better understanding of her brother and his struggles. She was both grateful and impressed. The young brunette would probably never know just how much her words meant to both Ollie and her.

"When Dinah showed up and told us Sara had asked her to stay with us first, I was worried. So, I just... I needed to make sure you're okay. I'm sorry for just dropping in, but neither of you were answering the door or your phones. I didn't mean to intrude." Those words felt like a punch in the gut. A well-deserved one at that. It had never been her intention to make Thea worry about Ollie or to give her the impression she was included in the cluster of people she had tried to shield her husband from. Thea was pretty much the only person she'd never try to shield Ollie from. She knew how much his baby sister meant to him, knew how her presence never failed to lift him up, no matter how bad a day he was having. Speedy was his light, his reason. She always had been. From the moment she was born, Ollie had been a goner and done everything he could to make his baby sister as happy as she made him by simply existing. No, she had never meant for Thea to feel like she wasn't allowed to drop in to check up on her family. This was her home, just as much as Laurel's place was, at least in theory, and as far as Ollie and she were concerned. Their door was always open, figuratively of course, because they always had it locked and their security system on, even when they were at home.

Especially when they were at home.

Stuff could be replaced, their lives could not. It gave them another layer to the illusion of safety. It helped them let themselves let their guards down, even if just a little. She doubted they'd ever be able to completely let their guards down anywhere. They had seen too much, knew just how easy it was to slip in a high security place, noiselessly, take out a target and vanish again, without leaving a trace, just like a ghost. Yes, there was no measure of security that would ever provide complete safety. So, there was no way they'd ever completely let their guards down.

Not even in the sanctuary of their own home.

She refocused on the conversation between the siblings and could easily make out how Ollie was starting to beat himself up over his behavior and how Thea had interpreted it; it was easy to detect in the tone of his voice. And she didn't like it. Didn't like where this appeared to be going. He was blaming himself for a decision she had made for him, this was the wrong day for them to have that conversation, she had just spent the majority of the morning trying to convince him Tommy's death hadn't been his fault and that his best friend had not seen him as a monster. Yes, they needed to have that conversation at some point, but today wasn't that day. She was contemplating just how to change the course of their conversation when her man provided her with a perfect opening to do just that.

"She means well, she just what, Ollie? How were you planning on finishing that sentence?" she pushed herself up and turned the upper half of her body towards him in order to be able to look him in the eyes. It was a feat that was more difficult than she cared to admit. She couldn't say she wasn't looking forward to getting her body back in two months' time, after her baby girl was born. This was starting to get ridiculous. She could hear Thea snigger in the background and clearly see the mischievous twinkle in his eyes once he noticed the amusement and playfulness behind her challenge. Mission accomplished. The air felt less heavy and the situation less emotionally charged than just a minute ago. She scoffed a little about him calling her overprotective, really? Pot meet kettle. She was pretty sure he was way more overprotective than she was. She pointed that out while rolling her eyes at him and trying to push herself off of him in order to sit down and face Thea, a feat that required some help from the man partially responsible for the reason why just simply getting up was a challenge, and he moved his body closer to the back of the couch, to give her space to sit. Just because it wasn't the right time for Ollie and Thea to have a heart to heart didn't mean the same applied to her. And she desperately needed to set a couple of things straight with her sister-in-law, given the words she had just spoken.

"I am so very sorry, Thea. Ollie's right. I never meant to make you feel like you couldn't come by. Our door is, of course, always open for you and there is no need to make an appointment. Ollie is your family, not an insurance company. Our home is your home. Always. Nothing is ever going to change that. I just needed Ollie to…. I sent mom away because… mom's family and I know she loves and adores Ollie and we both know Ollie is a sucker for like everyone's mom and I know how much mom means to him but still she's not…" Shit, this was more difficult than she had expected it to be. So far, she never had to explain her actions concerning taking care of Ollie's mental health to anyone. She wasn't quite sure how to put her thoughts and feelings into words, and make them make sense, or enough sense for Speedy to understand what she was trying to say. Plus, the atmosphere was once again becoming too heavy for her liking, which was why she threw the comment about Ollie and moms in there. Not that it wasn't true. He was a sucker for moms, which wasn't that surprising. He had always been a momma's boy. So, it was understandable that he treated and respected other people's mothers just as much as his own, well not exactly, but given how important Moira had been to him, just how much he had relied on his mother growing up it was understandable that he had a soft spot for mothers in general, plus mothers tended to have a soft spot for him too. He was quite the charmer, and made them feel special and appreciated. She noticed she was rambling and took a deep breath. And tried again to make Thea understand the motives behind her actions this morning.

"I needed Ollie to be able to just be himself in his own home and not feel like he needed to pretend. That is why I asked mom to leave for a few days. I just needed to make sure Ollie could be himself and express his feelings. I'm sorry my decision made you feel like you couldn't check in on him, Speedy. That was never my intention." She finished her explanation and hoped the younger woman understood the reasons behind her actions.

"That's alright, Sara. I know you're just trying to look out for Ollie. And I know you're someone he trusts, and you only have his best interest at heart and that you are taking care of him as much as you can… I just feel…" Thea's words confirmed her suspicions and just made her more determined to make sure Thea wasn't going to leave before ever doubting her importance and irreplaceable role in her older brother's life ever again. And that her actions hadn't been meant against her, or meant to keep her from Ollie and alienate the siblings. The last thing she wanted was for Thea to think she was trying to keep Ollie from her. That was something so beyond insane the thought would've never even crossed her mind, but she felt like it had been implied in Thea's words just now… or more so, the words she kept herself from uttering. She would never try to come between the siblings, not that she thought that would be a feat anyone could ever achieve, but still. Ollie needed his Speedy, always. And she'd never try to keep the most important person in his life, his family, away from him.

Thea continued before she had the chance to address the issue, and she didn't want to interrupt her. They could always come back to it later. Her heart ached for the brunette and the guilt, shame and anguish she seemed to be consumed by. She had removed one of her hands from around Speedy's to hold on to Ollie's thigh to keep herself grounded, she could feel the by now familiar itching under her skin and whispers in her head that came along with the presence of her sister-in-law. Her husband seemed to have recognized the meaning behind her hand on his leg, placing one of his top in comfort while sitting up on the couch, shifting his body so that she ended up sitting between his legs. His right arm went around her until his hand came to rest on top of their daughter, who had just woken up and made sure daddy knew that too, kicking his hand in a by now familiar greeting. She leaned slightly back into him to seek some comfort and strength.

She could've kicked herself. Of course, Speedy was blaming herself. Of course, she was trying to make things easier for her.

Thea's consideration of how her presence was affecting her was touching. But also bullshit.

Sweet as it was, it was about as stupid as Ollie's self-imposed celibacy after he had thought she had died when the Freighter had ended up at the bottom of the North China Sea. Pointless and irrational and it wasn't changing anything. This was their life now. This was the situation they were in and would be in for a long time, if not ever. Thea shouldn't have to worry about that when it came to spending time with her brother and also her niece in the near future. Sara had learnt to handle the bloodlust to some degree over the last year or so and she was able to notice the signs that pointed towards losing control over her impulses. She also knew how to handle those situations, most of the time, if Ollie was with her… but she knew enough about it by now to know when to distance herself from people, especially Thea, and the apartment was big enough that she could put enough space between them to get a hold of the demons under her skin. She tried to explain exactly that to the young woman across from her. But she once again struggled to find the right words to describe her feelings and thoughts about the matter to the brunette.

She took a slight detour at first. Remembering a time she had lied to spare someone's feelings… yeah, that had worked out grandiose. Laurel was still angry at them. Something she had a right to be. Well, she hadn't seen her sister since Ollie had talked to her, but she could just imagine the state her sister was probably in right now. Yeah, avoiding Laurel for a while might be a good idea. But she was getting sidetracked here.

She had to bite her lip to hide the grin that automatically wanted to appear upon Thea's words, pointing out her disdain for lies and secrets. The youngest Queen had never left any doubt as to what she thought of those things. And Sara respected the hell out of her for that. Especially given the family she grew up in. She could feel Ollie shift behind her, felt his hand turn into a fist for a second, she felt his eyes on her and felt when they left her to probably look at his sister. She was pretty sure she knew what he was thinking about. It was okay. If he wanted to tell Thea tonight, that was okay. She'd prefer it if they kept their marriage from everyone for a while longer, but she understood if her husband wanted to tell his baby sister. She turned her hand around and interlocked it with his, letting him know that she'd support whatever he chose to do.

"But really, you don't have to, Sara. There's really nothing you can say that I don't already know, okay. I know what it's like to live with bloodlust. I know what you feel every day and I know it's all my fault, so this is okay. It's like my punishment." Thea's words changed her focus back from the older to the younger Queen sibling. And her words broke her heart. She wasted no time in making sure Speedy knew that there was nothing she needed to get punished for. That what had happened had not been her fault and that no one on this roof was, had, or would ever blame her for Malcolm's actions. Thea chose to trust a man she had known her entire life, a man she had only recently learnt was her father at that point in time, a man who, as far as she knew, hadn't lied to her, unlike her mother and brother. Besides, everyone had always tried to shield her from who Malcolm really was and what he was doing to Tommy. So no one could fault her for her choice because of that, either. She hadn't known, at least not like everyone else had. Thea had only been a little child. She hadn't known she was trusting a man who had had no issues with abusing his own son. As far as she knew she war trusting a man she had spent her entire life calling "Uncle Malcolm" her father's best friend.

Was her choice foolish? Sure. Could one say even stupid? Absolutely. But then again, Thea had only been nineteen at the time. God knows what she had done at that age and whom she had trusted. Compared to her choices at that age, Thea's were barely comparable in severity. And she couldn't fault her for wanting to spend time with her father, trusting her father. Even knowing what Malcolm had done, what he had been a part of. She had forgiven her own mother for that, too, so why not her father? Yes, Thea's actions were easy to understand. And what had happened because of those wasn't her fault.

"Look Thea, yes, being around you is not just hard, it's excruciating. And there is nothing either of us can do to change that. But that is no reason for you to not come by and spend time with Ollie and me. There is plenty of space in the apartment and there is a lot I can do all by myself if I get overwhelmed by your presence. Believe it or not, but Ollie and I don't usually spend 24 hours attached to each other. I do occasionally get sick of his overbearing presence and enjoy some solitude." But that didn't change the fact that she had to live with the consequences of those. And the harsh reality that came with that. She wasn't going to paint a pretty picture for her. Wasn't going to lie, just like she had promised. She wasn't blaming Thea, but she wasn't going to claim she was innocent and there were no consequences to her actions, consequences that were probably permanent. But there was also no reason why she shouldn't lighten the mood up a little and joke around a bit. Besides, it was true. She got sick of Ollie occasionally, just like he got sick of her sometimes. But again, the apartment was enormous enough for them to seek out their respective private spaces until the other's absence made them seek each other out again.

She had missed Speedy over the years. Missed all the time they had spent together before the Gambit. And she would really, really love to have her around more often. Sara was also hoping that maybe with time, it would get easier and less painful to be around her. She doubted it, but still; she was allowed to hope and wish. Maybe it'd come true. Crazier things had. She used to hope, wish, and dream about marrying Ollie, having his baby. She never thought it would happen, though. Not before and most definitely not after. Yet, here they were. Happy. Together. Looking forward to welcoming their first child into the world.

Sara perked up when Thea mentioned a potion that had helped her with her bloodlust. Ollie had mentioned Nyssa helping them help Thea, but he hadn't really elaborated any further and she hadn't asked. And if they hadn't just gone full circle. She still felt like asking Nyssa for help in any matter wasn't a smart idea right now. And she really didn't feel like dealing with her ex-girlfriend at the moment. Besides, there was no way she was ingesting any strange liquids right now, not until Mila was at least born, but probably not until she'd stop breast feeding her. It was something to get some more information on though, just to know all the facts and make an educated decision about it. But this could wait for later.

Tonight just turned out to be about Thea, and making sure she understood she was Ollie's family, a part of the new little family Ollie and she were creating and always would be. Neither she nor Mila's presence would ever change that and take Ollie from her. Or lessen her importance to her older brother.

Notes:

Is it possible that Sara might be slightly possessive of Oliver…? Maybe… lol. Yep, he is her man, so everyone better back off and keep their hands off of him… or they're going to have to deal with the Canary aka Mrs. Green Arrow, not something you want to do.

Okay, so I know I might piss a couple of people off with this chapter, sorry bout that, sort of. And there might be a lot of people who felt this entire thing came out of nowhere… it didn't. I admit I wasn't sure whether to use Flashpoint to give Sara the Canary Cry or not at the beginning and it took me a while to decide on it. But I did decide to go for it around chapter 30, and there have been subtle hints towards it beginning at chapter 52… this is also the reason why Dig thought Sara might have better chances against The Flash than Oliver a couple of chapters ago, for everyone who had wondered about that. They're both metas so at least in Dig's mind that makes sense.

I hope my interpretation of the Canary Cry makes sense. I tried to research it but couldn't find much about it and the specifics on how exactly it works. So, I came up with my own thoughts on how it works and what would make sense. It would suck a lot for BC if she could only scream in a sonic frequency... so I decided she can switch around...

I thought about this for a long time and just decided to go for it because I feel Sara should've gotten the real Canary Cry in Arrow at least, before some random woman from Central City did. Flashpoint gave them the perfect opportunely to change directions, have Sara be in CC during the explosion and get the Canary Cry, have her come back home after Season 1 of Legends and become the Green Arrow's Black Canary for good.

And also I really don't know anything about frequency and sonic and stuff, I tried to look some stuff up but it went mostly right over my head so sorry for that. Same applies to Sara's thoughts on Talia and Oliver and fighting...or not have used the correct terms to describe fighting styles and stuff... sorry I'm still working on acquiring that vocabulary in English, so bear with me.
