Annabeth pov Jan 2, 2006
I woke up extra early today because I got to go into town. You see Christmas break is over for the school Chiron teaches at. Oh and I almost forgot he's a centaur but he doesn't go to school in horse form , he has a magical wheelchair he can fit into. Chiron is there on a house call because my satyr friend Grover says a student there is really powerful.
Wow I got off track you see I have ADHD because I'm a demigod , I almost forgot that part . The camp for demigods I go to (Camp-Halfblood the most amazing place in the world) sends satyrs like Grover to go and scout for demigods . They're going a day early ,so I get to come and get a book from the 's weird because Chiron usually goes and gets me a new architecture book because monsters tend to attack demigods ,it's just what monsters do , but Chiron wants me to get a fiction book because he says it will teach us life lessons and I trust Chiron he's like a second father to me.
Oh wow I can't believe I haven't introduced myself I'm Annabeth daughter of Athena. So I was in the car with Grover and Chiron and I got dropped off at the book store. I knew I had to get a fiction book but none caught my eye until i saw one that said Percy Jackson and the Olympians ,the cover had a boy about my age ,11 or 12, in an orange shirt and jeans looking at what looked like Manhattan. I decided to read the back it said Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school… thats the least of his troubles. Lately,mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Okay this Percy guy had to be a demigod and a powerful one at that ,he might even be the one,no not like that. You see I've always wanted to go on a quest to see if I would survive the real world . Chiron got a prophecy saying it wasn't my time and I'd have to wait for someone special.
I decided I would read this whole thing to figure things out,so I went up to the counter and the guy said "You're getting Percy Jackson, good choice some say it might be the next Harry Potter"
Wow some people thought it was fiction I never thought of our world as fiction that was weird but I gave the guy my money and I got into the car with Argus he is camp security because he has eyes all over his body . He doesn't talk though ,some span people say it's because he has an eye on his tongue .
Uhh I got off track again. Well luckily I got back to camp just in time to eat breakfast.I went back to my cabin and I saw my other two year round siblings Malcom and Lily. Lily was nine Malcom was 14 . But I've been here longer the anyone so I'm head counselor. I came here when I was seven with my friends Thalia daughter of Zeus she was 12 , Luke Castellan son of Hermes he's 19,and Grover the satyr . Thalia sacrificed herself and Zeus turned her into a tree and now her spirit protects the camp and monsters can't come in ,I just realized I was the age of Thalia when she died but I tried not to think of that .Malcom asked what book I got so thought what the guy said it be the next Harry Potter I think ,so I said that, I felt I should tell Chiron first. I decided I would read the book after Ancient Greek which was right now.
There we saw the Hermes cabin where there were a lot more people including Luke ,he barely ever talked to me since his quest ,so I was surprised when he came over and said " hey Annie what book did you get"
I blushed and said "please don't call me Annie and I got a book called Harry Potter " .
Then Luke left to sit with his cabin . It was the winter session so all we did read parts of homer again. After that I went back to my cabin to read the book I opened it up and the first chapter was I accidently vaporize my pre-algebra teacher.
Authors note: please review and reminder this is my first fanfic. I plan for Annabeth to at least finish the first book. School is starting in a few weeks so I might not have as much time as now so if uploads slow down I'm sorry in advance . Thank you
