"I see you've changed your hair AGAIN my girl! You certainly love your passion for fashion, don't you?"
Selena chuckled slightly, rubbing her hand through her raven black hair that had received a new trim, making her look like a rock star or fashionista.
"I assure you, Professor Birch. I try to go for the styles that are nice, but not too terribly loud, you know? I want to detract as much attention as I can."
"Aw well that's too bad!" Professor Birch put a hand to his chin. "You did very well in the contest that Miss Lisia begged you to be in"
Selena sweatdropped slightly, remembering her first encounter with Lisia. She….certainly was a character alright. However, as much as she LOVED singing and all things that had to do with music…
…she had to stay away from everything that she loved, so she could stay away from her father.
And her ever-loving craptastic brother…
Putting up a hand, Selena smiled. "Maybe after I'm done with all the regions…and…finish my ultimate task."
"Ah yes! You did mention wanting to finish all regions!" Birch made a motion behind him. "Would you like to see your Pokemon? I know Nightwing is absolutely ITCHING to see you!"
"I would LOVE that, Professor." Selena smiled.
"Oh! By the way! Will you be sending Cye over this time? Or will you once again be doing your region with only five Pokemon?"
Selena paused…and smiled. "Cye and I have been together since I was 8…he was my very first Pokemon. Practically the brother I never got to have. I know it's strange, but I want Cye to be with me through everything."
"It's not strange at all!" Birch grinned. "I once met a fine boy who had a Pikachu with him at all times. It's great that you love your Scizor so much- oh! One moment, I think the boys found out I'm talking to you."
Selena chuckled slightly as Professor Birch left the screen and she waited for him to reappear. She glanced over towards the bed where her Kirlia, Vibrava, and Riolu were still sleeping. Her Gengar was…somewhere…no doubt causing mischief for Elesa's poor Emolga.
Her Greninja was sitting by the window, cross legged and apparently meditating, while her Scizor was leaning against the wall, enjoying an oran berry.
…sooner or later she was going to have to tell all her pokemon…that she, Cye and Nos were…
"Inte!"
Selena paused and looked towards the screen, smiling warmly as an Inteleon appeared. "Dynamo! How's your sharp shooting sk-" She paused as a swarm of other Pokemon suddenly started trying to push and shove each other for the screen. Selena laughed awkwardly and rubbed her head, watching a Breloom try to shove the Inteleon…a Crobat trying to wiggle into the shot…heck! It looked like even a shiny Toxicroak and a Sandslash were now trying to get to the screen.
"Oh my gosh." Selena laughed softly. "All of you. You're causing so much trouble"
She sat there and watched the handful of Pokemon trying to wrestle for right to the screen…only for the call to suddenly hang up. Selena blinked…and chuckled hopelessly.
"Those guys can't ever seem to get along…"
She looked over towards her Scizor, who looked sarcastic.
"Is it just me? Or do I seem to catch Pokemon that just love to compete or something?"
Cye shrugged slightly and made his way over to his trainer as she stood from her seat, looking out the window. "...Sun's rising…might as well get the morning routine going."
Selena brushed her hair and looked over herself, before calling back the sleeping pokemon into their balls.
"Let's do the Subway LAST, so we don't have to see Emmet." She muttered, turning towards her Scizor and her Greninja. "Who's choosing breakfast?"
The two Pokemon glanced towards each other, before having a quick game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who would choose. The water ninja turned out to be victorious and crossed his arms, looking towards Selena knowingly.
His trainer smiled. "Alright Phantom. Omelets it is."
***NB***
"There you go, Ingo!" An older woman handed a paper bag to the Subway boss, smiling sweetly at him. "Two dozen muffins for you, Emmet, and your Pokemon!"
"Thank you Mrs. Bloom." Ingo tipped his hat at the baker, Chandelure showing interest in the bag. "This will definitely get us on the right tracks for the day."
"I'm sure you would get on the right tracks either way." The woman waved at him as he exited the building.
As he walked down the path, he smiled as Chandelure tried to get at the bag. "Now Now, Chandelure. You know it's more polite to wait till we get to the others first."
"Chaaaan"
Ingo chuckled…and reached into the bag. "Fine…but JUST one." He took out a muffin and handed it to the fire/ghost Pokemon, who used a psychic move to hold it in the air. Chandelure exclaimed happily and started munching away at the breakfast.
Ingo looked back towards the busy streets and came to a stop at a crosswalk, waiting for the light to indicate when he could start crossing. "Alright Chandelure, we only have two more weeks until the League starts. You know what that means."
"Delure!"
"More Subway traffic." Ingo looked at his Pokemon and smiled. "We have to step up our game to ensure the Nimbasa Subways are kept safe. We don't want all these rowdy new trainers to injure themselves."
The light changed and Ingo started walking down the crosswalk, making his way down the streets and turning t-
"OOFF"
"Gah!"
Ingo paused when he almost stumbled over someone and gasped. "I'm terribly sorry! Are you alright-" he paused when he saw Selena and her Scizor looking back at him.
"Oh- Ingo!" Selena turned to face the Subway boss looking spooked. "Are you ok?"
"I'm perfectly fine." Ingo motioned towards the bag in his hands. "As long as these muffins get to my brother in one piece, I'll live another day." He joked.
Selena smiled…but paused and looked around quickly. "...Emmet's not…around is he?"
"No actually, I lost a bet with him and I was sent to get morning muffins while he went ahead to the subway." Ingo blinked and gazed at her curiously. "Why did you ask? Did you need to speak with him-"
"NO!" Selena paused and cleared her throat, rubbing her head. "No no no, I just- uh, I'd rather not disturb his work, you know?"
Ingo tilted his head at the girl's explanation. That sounded much more than 'not wanting to disturb someone'. She was such an interesting lady.
"Chandelure…" Ingo's Chandelure muttered lightly.
Selena paused and glanced towards Chandelure as words formed in her mind.
Well if it isn't the trainer of the large moron of a Gengar…
Selena sighed slightly and folded her hands, looking back towards Ingo. "So Ingo, I assume you're heading for the main station. Would you like me to send your supplies off with you so I don't have to bother you guys today?"
"Oh!" Ingo blinked and put up a hand. "Well I suppose I could…but I was hoping you would come visit us today anyways."
Selena paused and looked confused. "What?"
Ingo suddenly felt his face get hot. HOW had that just SLIPPED out?! He cleared his throat and stood up professionally…though nothing hid a small blush on his face. "I- I mean, The way you help our workers with setting up all the supplies is unrivaled. I've never seen one of Elesa's helpers so invested in making everything look perfect."
He made a motion with his hand. "You have such an eye for detail, Miss Selena, you're absolutely stunning."
YOU IDIOT!
"Y-Your TALENT is absolutely stunning." He quickly corrected.
Chandelure gleaned at her trainer, looking sarcastic. "Chan…"
Subtle…REAL subtle, Ingo.
Selena glanced at Chandelure looking confused…and looked back towards Ingo. "I suppose I could come by…but let me get these other deliveries out first. I don't want to get in your way."
Or more accurately, I don't want to see Emmet.
"You're not in my way at all, Miss Selena." Ingo tipped his hat. "Then I shall see you around 2? Traffic in the Subway is generally quieter at that time."
"...Sounds good." Selena quickly looked towards Cye. "Let's get out of Ingo's way, I'm sure he's got a lot to do."
Cye was giving Ingo a bizarre look, but quickly shook his head and looked towards his trainer. "Scizor."
"By the way Ingo?" Selena looked back towards the Subway boss. "I'm very sorry about Nos. I don't want him bothering your gorgeous Chandelure." She turned and walked away.
Ingo watched the woman walking off, a pink tinge to his cheeks. "O-Oh it's…it's fine. I'm sure she appreciates it…"
After Selena made her way down the street, Ingo turned to continue to the station…only to see his Chandelure giving him a smug look. The Subway boss blushed and scowled. "What?"
"Chaaaaandeeeluuuurrreee?"
Ingo blushed and cleared his throat. "Ahem…Let us keep on schedule, Chandelure. We don't want to cause a delay."
