Welcome! You have been chosen as the Host of the Gamer System!
He had no idea how to feel as he read the text floating in front of his face. Despite being able to move, he wasn't able to see his body when he looked down. He was met with complete darkness in that regard.
Due to your death and state of your body, your body was not brought along!
'Died?' He thought with no small amount of panic. His mind went back to his memories before waking up here.
'I was...in a plane? I can't remember where I was going. That's not all. I can't remember other things. What is my name!?' Numerous thoughts raced through his mind but no answers came up.
He could remember many things like the fact that he had parents but he couldn't remember their faces for the life of him. No amount of brainstorming provided him with the answers he wanted.
'Why am I so calm? I should be freaking out by now.' He wondered as the text changed and new words appeared.

[Human] [?] [?] [?] [?]
'That's...not as big of a deal as I thought it'd be. I can't really say I'm attached to my old name since I can't even remember it.'
He couldn't help but immediately avoid the question marks. For all he knew, one of them could be a dog and he'd rather die than become a dog. Selecting human, he watching the text change.

[Fighter] [Archer] [Mage] [Healer] [Rogue]
As much as he was drawn to the idea of throwing out fireballs into the air, mages were mostly physically weak. They were in essence, glass canons.
'Fighter it is.'
[Warrior] [Duelist] [Archer] [Martial Artist] [Berserker]
Berserker was immediately thrown out the window as he considered the other options. Archers were mostly useless in close combat which left only three for him to consider.
In the end, he chose warrior as his class. Martial Artist and Duelist while good, didn't seem right to him.

'Interesting.' He could feel the knowledge on how to use the skills filter into his mind. He didn't see himself using a mace but it was better to have it than not.
New Skills are unlocked as you level your Class.
New Classes are unlocked once Warrior reaches level 50.
Skills can also be gained through special actions.
He relaxed a bit. He had assumed that he was limited to the skills that he was currently given but that didn't seem to be the case. He was happy for the fact that he would get a skill each time the class levels up and about availability of the other classes.
'What do I do now?' He wondered a bit confused now that that had been done.

It was a bit much to take in with all the numbers but he quickly understood what he was looking at. Doing a quick mental calculation, he was partially satisfied and unsatisfied at the same time.
His MP would take twelve and a half minutes to fill itself once exhausted but that was only because he had so little MP. Though, he didn't have anyone to compare mana capacity with so he couldn't really say.

Quickly awakening, he shot off his bed with a start. Confusion quickly set in as he surveyed his environment.
'I'm in a bedroom. It's not anything I recognize.' He thought as he surveyed the environment critically. At that moment, a scanty barrage of memories filtered into his brain, allowing him to somewhat get a grasp of the situation.
'Homurahara high school? I don't remember that name from anywhere.' He pondered as he got to his feet, leaving the bedroom.
Aside from his footsteps, the entire house was silent. He reviewed the memories as the reason hit him.
'So I'm an orphan. I don't know whether to feel happy or sad about that.' Enma's mother died during childbirth while his father died in the great fire of Fuyuki ten years ago.
'Great fire...of Fuyuki?' He thought, the name of the incident ringing a bell in his head. He couldn't help but let out a humorless chuckle as he realized where he was.
'Of all place to be, it just had to be Fate.' He thought in a condescending manner. He was wrong after all. What chance does a human without a servant in the city of Fuyuki? A minimum of seven highly dangerous beings that could end him at any moment they wished.

'At least that solves the problem of a weapon for now.' He thought as he recalled a skill he got earlier, [ID Create].
'If I want to survive in this madhouse, I have to get stronger...fast!'
The only dungeon he had available was Zombies so that was his only choice. Instantly, he was moved to a...strange location. The house had disappeared and he was standing under the...red skies?
The land around him was barren and deserted safe for the humanoid zombies trudging in his direction. If anyone could describe it in one word, it was simple, Wasteland.
The zombies looked like humans, just a bit more unalive with the green and rotting skin. Instinctively, he pulled out the one handed. It was truly a basic sword.
It felt right in his grip. Remembering the skill upgrade card he got earlier, he pushed down his reluctance, using it on [Sword Proficiency, raising it to apprentice level. The feeling of getting more acquainted with the skill consoled him as he reminded himself that it would help him survive.
By now, one of the zombies had gotten close to him. Steeling himself, he dashed forward, slashing into the zombie's neck, cutting into it with some resistance.
He couldn't cut through it in one strike with his low stats. He underestimated the fact that zombies didn't feel pain, forcing him to dodge as the zombie threw a slow but powerful seeming punch.
Backing away, he avoided the punch before dashing back in to stroke again, aiming at the same spot he cut into. Though there was still some resistance, he was able to cut through it.
'That was something. Maybe it's the fact that it's a zombie that I don't feel any remorse killing him. Well zombies are basically undead so I killed him a second time.' He reasoned as he looked at the other zombies that were approaching.
'This is going to be a long day.''
Time passed at the same rate as the real world in the dungeon which came as a slight surprise and disappointment.
It also helped him realize something important. He didn't need to sleep at all. He had stayed and fought for what he thought was just a few hours, unknowingly losing track of time. By the time he exited the dungeon, it was already the morning the next day.
Opening his status sheet, he could only say that it was worth it in the end.

He didn't know how to feel about how unbalanced his stats looked. He couldn't view the stats of others so he didn't have any way to compare strength but he could confidently say that he was much stronger than the regular human.
He would have continued cutting down zombies if not for the fact that the sword had now broken down. With the amount of dried blood that painted it and the amount of bones he cut into with the blade, he was surprised it even lasted this long.
He opened up his skills list to view the rewards of his hard work.

He gained a few skills as the [Warrior] class leveled up as well as leveled up [Sword Proficiency]. It was an arduous task to level it from apprentice to adept. He could only shiver at the thought of how hard it would be to take it higher.
Sweaty as he was, he wasn't done. He didn't have a stamina bar which theoretically meant that he had near limitless stamina. Of course that was only in theory. The sweat had only come from the intensity of the constant battles he had come out from.
Now back in his house, he walked towards the table in the living room he now stood in. Pulling out the loot he had gotten from the dungeon, he placed them on the table, pulling out 4 cards and 5 crystals.

He wasted no time, using two of the skill upgrade cards on [Sword Proficiency, raising it to straight to master level proficiency. He wanted to save the other two on the off chance that he got a skill that really caught his eyes.
Let it be known that despite the fact that he now had the sword skills equal to a master, that didn't mean he was instantly OP. The skill may be top notch but his stats weren't high enough to effectively use it to its full potential.
Putting that out of his mind for the moment, he took the crystals in his hand, using them one by one. He could feel the changes both physically and mentally.
His mind grew sharper upon its usage and he felt the minuscule changes in his appearance. Looking over to the small mirror at the side of the room, he stared at his reflection.
When he first looked at his appearance upon his awakening, he was met with chin length messy black hair with slightly pale skin. Now his hair gained some shine to it, his skin looking a bit more healthy. His formerly lanky body now contained lean muscles around his body.
With his loot assessment done, he quickly went up to the shower in the bedroom. A thought occurred to him on his way there.
'What kind of adults leave a child to live alone. That's absurd in more ways than one.' He thought as he literally tore of his sweaty clothes and stepped into the shower.
It didn't take time for him to get clean. Enma now wearing a pair of clean clothes caught a dull flash of light in the corner of his eye. He turned to see a phone laying on the table, blinking briefly.
Out of curiosity, he picked it up, looking at the notification.
'A message?' He thought confused before opening it. He briefly glanced at the name, feeling like he was forgetting something important.
'Is there any reason you were absent from school?' The text read. He looked confused for a moment before glancing back at the name of the sender.
'Issei Ryuudou?' He thought as the name finally registered in his head.
"Crap! I forgot about school!"
