(Grease drops towards Cross-Z with her weapon at the ready, Cross-Z spins around and thrusts his blade at Grease, their weapons let out a shockwave of energy as the two steare each other down. Scene changes to Tajimi and Phantom Task behind her. Looming over all of them is a Mech hidden in Shadow, a beam charges up before firing at the screen.)

(Gentoku walks forward with Yamada behind him. Camera changes to an up close look at Gentoku up close, looking at one half of Gentoku's face is with a creepy smile. Camera switches to other side to see a dulled out Gen with purple crack veins creeping up his face. Stalk Revels in everything.)

Sento and Chifuyu reach out to each other, but a shadow creeps up Sento's hand. Sento brings his hand close to his eye, the camera focuses on his eyes to see a shadow in both eyes.)

Construct 87: Break Though
Rin: In the last Construct, Sento had a talk with my parents as well as have them walk in on me cooking. I was working on the soup to surprise the two… A-Anyways, Sento and I are called into a small meeting with Mao to discuss what our next course of action should be. We came to the conclusion that we needed access into the Military network. Now I face off against Huian to get that information.
We are Rin
Huian and I fly into the ground, I slide across the ground smashing into tree trunks. After crashing into a large tree I jump off of Huian and fire my cannons at her. Huian tanks the shot, the beam fades. Revealing a shield Huian's using an energy Shield. "I'm not out of tricks just yet." Huian said charging at me again. Our blades clash, as we fight through the forest. I duck under the swing of her blade, as I swiftly fly around back of Huian as I put my Double side blade handle to her neck. I need to knock her out! I can acquire the information and not kill her! As I choke out Huian, a squad of Goliaths fly overhead. "What?" I exclaim, Huian elbows me in the gut before grabbing my arms and tossing me over her shoulder. I'm flung into the air, I roll across the ground, then hit a rock that sends me into the air, then I land in the watery marshes of the Mai Po Nature Reserve.
Rin:(standing up) Ugh… Ow... Now I have water and- OW!(pulls out Shrimp) Shrimp all over me now…
Huian:(floating over) Our little bout did unfortunately not drag a large force out, but nevertheless I've dragged you away from your post. Seems the takeover was quicker than I thought.
Rin:(floats) T-Take over? W-Wait?! You mean to say that Beijing has fallen already?!
Huian:(scoffs) Faster than I expected, but yes!(attacks Rin)
Rin:(blocks blade) Well… If that's the case, then I need to know something.(pushes Huian back) Do you know what your Command structure,(jumps up) is really doing to their own people?!(swings blade down at Huian)
Huian:(blocks blade) A-Again, that's not for me to know.
Rin:(pressing blade) So, you do know!(jumps back) You know about the Brains and Spine that connect the Goliath!
"So what if I DO!" Huian said overclocking her blade to make the beam larger, then swinging at me. A wave of energy parts from the blade and flies at me. I bring up my arms to block but I'm blown back. I splash into the water, I sit up seeing Steam float up from the area of impact. Steam? "Rin! I'm sorry, I let her cannons return to Huian!" Mao said over the comms, I fly right dodging the beam that hit the water. Huian's shoulder cannons return to her.
Mao:(flies over) I'm sorry, I tried to stop them from returning, but when the Goliaths-
Rin: I understand, but you need to get back to the base and help in the defence!
Mao: But… Will you be okay?
Rin:(nods) I'll be fine! The civilians are more important here. You need to go!
"...Fine. But, I order you to make Huian come to her senses!" Mao orders. I nod. "Mam! I will fulfil that order Mam!" I exclaim, Mao nods then quickly heads off to help the defence. I turn back to Huian, as her cannons return to her shoulder pads. ""Come to my senses?" There's nothing for me to Come to!" Huian shouts shooting her shoulder cannons at me from the ground in front of her towards me. I fly to the side dodging the beam, I stop and glance over at the impact to see no real damage other than steam coming off the water in the path of the beam.
Rin: So the cannons not only can move on their own but shoot plasma now?
Huian:(sighs) It took you this long to notice? Jeez Lingyin, I knew you were hot headed, but also Dense? It's any wonder you became the China IS representative.
Rin: Oi! How I became an IS representative has no bearing on the situation now!(points cannons) Come on, show me what you got!
Huian:(charges cannons) As you wish!
We start flying across the top of the water, the tips of our feet just barely kicking up water below us as we blast at each other. Our path takes us all over the Mai Po, my shots are incinerated by Huian's beams. Her shots leave steam on the ground. "So even your shoulder cannons are using Plasma now?!" I asked as we clashed blades. "Problem?" Huian said. If she's using Plasma, then I've got this fight in the bag now! Huian blasts another beam at me, to which I counter by swinging my blade kicking up the water below me. The beam hits the water evaporating the beam, as the rest of the water splashes onto Huians face. "Bugh!?" Huian said, surprised. I charge in and punch Huian. Huian swings her blade, I dodge the side and kick Huian in the gut sending her flying. Huian fires at me again, I swing my blade several times to block the plasma and splash it onto Huian's face.
Huian: I'm wearing a helmet! You may have surprised me the first time, but it won't work a second time!
Rin:(smirks) Then how about this?!(throws blade) Catch!
Huian: Huh?(helmet knocked off) Gagh?!
Huian falls into the water, her helmet splashing into the water. "Now it's face to face!" I exclaim, charging in to punch. Huian simply moves around me and grabs the back of my head and kicks my feet up, planting my face into the water. "Yes! And this is for trying to choke me out earlier!" Huian shouts, pressing my face into the water. I struggle to get out of the lock, I squirm to try to get up. Searching around for something to knock Huian off me. My hand bumps into something. I immediately grab the thing and swing my arm, hitting Huian off me. I stand up and take a deep breath. "*Cough!* *Cough!* Damn it… Huh?" I see that I'm holding Huian's helmet.
Huian:(rubs cheek) Ugh…
Rin:(heavy breathing) Question.
Huian:(spits) What?!
Rin:(walks over to blade) What do you accomplish with this?
Huian:(confused) What, what do you mean?
Rin:(picks up blade) What do you accomplish by putting China under the control of Phantom Task? Like I said in our last fight, it's just changing one bad ruler with another bad ruler. You can't tell me that you didn't once think about whose side you're on.
Huian:(deactivates blade) Whose side I'm on, doesn't matter. Things change, I… I just need to get through this. I need to survive.
Rin: Why? There's no reason!(shakes head) No, rather what is your reason?!
Huian:(ignites blade) There is not much to say. I was alone all my life, When I finally found someone and discovered that I could use an IS. I finally had a chance to get out of the poor hell hole I was in. I took every chance that came my way, I was finally going to have stability… Then… China…(swings) Crashed!
Rin:(clashing blades) So you just wanted to live a stable life?!
Huian:(jumps back) Who dosent?!(blasts beams) I was always jumping from job to job, no one, no connections, nothing mattered unless I could live in peace!
Rin:(spins blade to deflect beam) So you joined the Tibet Federation to have that life?!(charges in and swings) You could have left China and you would have never fought!
Huian:(blocks) I can't! I… I have someone… The only other one who stood by me all this time. And they can't escape, I need to save them!
Rin:(Jumps back) Then let's stop fighting and help this person out!
"What?" Huian asks, pausing mid swing. "All you had to do was ask and I would have helped!" I exclaimed, putting my blade into the water below me and walking towards Huian. "N-No, No-No one could have helped me!" Huian shouts, pointing her cannons at me and firing. I don't flinch as the beam fly past my hair, not even burning the hairs off, I continue to walk forwards. "N-No, just… Please!" Huian said bracing. I softly grab her arms and bring them down, Huian's shield and blade deactivate, as a tear runs down Huian's face.
Rin: All you had to do was ask… I'll help you.
Huian:(crying) E-Even after all… *Sniff* All I've done?
Rin:(smiles) You had your reasons, but I need to be sure… Are you really okay with the Tibet regime?
Huian:(shakes head) No…(kneels down) When I saw how Goliaths are made… I knew that if I went against Pill and Arachnid, I'd… Be killed…(looks up at Rin) Rin please help me!
"Of course!" I said with a smile. That's when I hear something rolling across the water behind Huian. I look behind Huian to see Grey Pill rolling at Huian. "Look out!" I shout, pushing Huian to the side, I brace as Pill smashes into me knocking me across the water and smashing a wooden walkway. I try and pick myself up as Pill walks towards Huian. "Huian! Get out of there!" I shout. Huian fires her cannons at Pill. Pill brings up her arms, as metal plates slide out into place. The beam hits the plates and deflects the beam. "*Gasp!*" Huian let's out as Pill approaches. Huian charges in swinging her blade, only for her arm to be grabbed by Pill. Pill tears off Huian's blade and shield tossing them aside.
Pill:(grabs Huian by the neck) So the Tool begins to break her chains…
Huian:(trying to break free.) Uuurgh… Agh…
Rin:(stands up) L-Leave her alone!
Pill glances at me. "Begone you annoyance." Pill said as he pointed his Steam Gun at me. "Steam Attack!" Pill fires multiple rounds into me. I am blasted back into the wood walkway, and made imobile. "H-Huian..." I mutter trying to get Shenlong to move. Please… Shenlong! Move! Move! "Now… back to you..." Pill said lifting Huian up. "S...Sir… Please..." Huian squeeks out. "Shenlong! M-Move goddamn it!" I shouted trying to move.
Pill: A tool… We soldiers… Are tools, and those who disobey. No matter what, are to be… Removed.
Rin:(struggling) Huian! NO!
Huian:(looks at Rin) R-Rin… Please sa-
Pill overrides Huian's IS to deactivate it, then tosses Huian onto the ground, before pointing his gun and shooting Huian in her head… "Obstacle… Eliminated." Pill said, turning to me and aiming his gun at me. "...Huian… RAAAAAGHHH~!" I scream as Shenlong roars to life as I blast a barrage of beams at Pill who's blasted back, quickly changing into his roller form to get away. I pull myself up and fly as high as I can, continuing to shoot at Pill, but he manages to roll into the forest and off towards the city… Huian! I fly over to Huian and land before her… Seeing her shocked face as blood begins to seep into the water around her head.
Rin: No… No… HUIAN~!
I fall to my knees water splashing onto her IS. Huian floats on the water's surface, I see her phone sticking out of her uniform. I take the phone and turn it on… So this… This is the only one who stood by her… I… Something bumps into me, I turn to see Huian's blade and shield. I've failed… But- I grab the blade and shield, as well as Huians phone. Then I pick up her body. I… I won't give in… I'll do enough living for the two of us Huian. So, you can rest easy now. I place down Huian's body then I fly into the air and towards the city.
We are Observer
As Rin flies away, lying on the wooden walkway. Huian rests with her eyes closed, clasped between her hands is her IS.
We are Sento… Hong Kong Docks...
"Hawk! Tank!" My armor materialises on me as I hop into the trench and start firing on the invading army. A missile platform launches a rocket, I immediately take aim and shoot the rocket down, but the missile flies into the building over us and explodes sending rubble crashing down at us. I crank my belt. "Voltech! Finish!" I fire at the rubble, breaking it to small pebbles.
Build:(ducks) How is the Evacuation going?
Soldier: We have most of the civilians on the ships, but they can't leave the port with the Tibet Navy in the waters! And our IS's are covering the Air!
Build:(takes out cans) Got it, leave the waters to me.(looks at the soldier) Can you hold the point?
Soldier:(nods) We will defend the point to our last breath.
"Understood. But don't be a hero. Stay safe!" I said as I fly up into the air and towards the docks. I take out my Sparkling bottle, I shake the can and crack it open then inserting it into the belt. "Rabbit Tank Sparkling!" I crank the belt as the new armor materialises. "Build up!" I exclaim as the armor complets. "Rabbittank Sparlking! Ye-Yeah!" I deploy my Funnels to boosters as I launch towards the Docks as high speed. I arrive over the waters to see the Navy blocking the way. I need to destroy the ships without having the staff aboard sink… Time to go for the ships to take on some water then! "Funnels! Go!" I exclaim as my Funnels fly out cutting open the lower decks of the ships as they begin taking on water.
Goliath:(flying at Build) TARGET IDENTIFIED. BEGINNING ELIMINATION.
Build:(looks at Goliaths) ...So the heavy duty fire power has arrived then… I'll put you out of your misery now. Goliath Striker pack! Activate!
System: Goliath Striker Pack, ETA 10 seconds…
A armor stand materialises in the air and flies at me. Weapons fold out of ports and open fire at the Goliaths, causing them to take evasive maneuvers. I fly to the armor stand as the armor folds out into position. I put my arms out to the side, as the armors arms extend out. The armor opens. I put my arms and legs into the armor. I grab controllers in the hand and slide my feet into feet brace. The armor closes up and locks, the headgear attaches. The Blast shield headgear attaches and completes.
The Goliath Striker pack has a color pallet of dark blue, turquoise, with outlines of white, and red for the cameras and joint links. The armor comprises the arms and legs with a headgear attachment. The left arm has a fold out rail cannon. The left shoulder is large and rounded with a sliding shoulder missile pod. On the right arm is a large laser cannon, the right shoulder has a sliding shoulder mounted EMP gun. The feet contain large thrusters on the front and back of the legs, thrusters on the sole of the foot with the joint area having a simple cover. On the side of the hips are a set of 3 explosives on the side of each hip. Finally on the head is a visor designed with a single mono eye camera on a track, with armor around the track designed to have explosions fly around the helmet.
"Build! Sparkling Goliath online!" I exclaim, slamming my fists together then pulling them away as energy sparks between my knuckles before bringing my arms up and down to my side, a blast of energy emanates from my body. Man… Did the teleportation give the suit a large charge of energy? It's the only other way I could see that blast happening… "ELIMINATE." A Goliath said, charging up his weapons. I point my EMP gun and fire off a shot, hitting the Goliath shutting down the shields, I then fire my rail cannon at the Goliath splitting it in two. Then pointing my laser cannon at another Goliath a fire the beam flying straight though two Goliaths destroying them. This armor should keep them distracted while my Funnels.
Goliath: ALL UNITS CONVERGE ON TARGET: BUILD. PRIORITY 1.
Build: That's right… Keep coming! I'll put all of your tortured minds to rest! So Come Get Some! And someone get the ships moving!
Coast Guard:(over comm) All ships are setting sail, you have cleared the way. Make sure none of the ships sink!
Build:(sighs) This and taking on the Goliaths?... Please Tell me Rin and Mao arrive soon… Where is Mao? I heard she was on her way…?
We are Mao
I fly in at the Resupply base where I deploy my Grenade launcher. I take aim and fire off a few grenades at the ammo depot, causing it to explode. I follow up by flying to the vehicles firing at the parking, destroying the vehicles that are incoming and were already there. "Get her!" I hear behind me, as two IS's fly at me. I dodge to the side grabbing one of the IS's arms and putting her in a tight hold as I use her as a shield as the other IS thrusts her blade at me. The IS's shields activate, I take out my own blade and stab causing the Absolute Defence shield to appear and causing the IS to go into shut down mode. I toss the IS I'm holding to the side as she floats down to the ground. The Last IS in front of me thrusts her blade at me again, I grab her arm and disarm here. I bring my blade down on her back forcing her Absolute defence to kick in. I toss her aside and continue my attack.
We are Rin
I cut down a Guardian as I hobble past the checkpoint and into the city. I pause when I hear rubble begin to move. I point my blade at where the sound came form. "Who's there… Come out." I exclaim as a small group of soldiers step out. "P-Please don't kill us." One of the soldiers pleads. I look at them… "Drop your weapons… Now." I said, all of the soldiers toss down their weapons, I gesture them to kick them aside. They do so, and I deactivate my weapons and continue to hobble into the city.
Rin: Go… Leave the city, go home.
Soldier 1: Home?... What home.
Soldier 2: Our home is gone, along with everything we have… Sigh.
Rin:(turns to soldiers) Then go to another country, you can start a new life.
Soldier 1: But… our life has always been here in China… I guess I can't say that anymore. Since "China" technically doesn't exist anymore.
Soldier 3: Even with this new government it feels like nothing has changed.
Soldier 2: Damn the leaders! It's just the same system with different leaders!...(sits down)... Sigh~ What's the point anymore… The old China system was rotten to the core.
Rin:(nods) Yeah… It really was… Then, maybe it's time to destroy the old system entirely.(soldiers look at Rin) I mean the old system was rotten as you said, so maybe it's time to tear out the old system by the roots and make something new.
Soldier 4: Yeah…(sits down) Good luck with that. We already had 3 different revolutions in 3 different areas. It all ended up with this… It's history repeating itself. What's the point?
Rin:(looks at Soldier 4) That's because they were all still trying to keep the old system, they wanted to use the foundations of that system! If we are to make China a place for everyone, we need to make it better for everyone to live in! We need a democratic like Government… Freedom for people, possibilities for those who have nothing, and safety for families… My Teacher told me once in the past: "Change will happen, but will only happen when you take that first step." and "Let the past be the foundation yes, but that means all of it's ups and downs. Mistakes and Successes. That's how you grow and change." I say that it's time for that change to come.
The soldiers look at each other then up at me. "Well… 4th time's the charm." Soldier 1 said, "Eh, what's wrong in trying." Soldier 3 said, Soldier 2 grabs his friends' guns and passes them around. "We'll spread the message." Soldier 2 said, looking at me and nodding. Soldier 4 sighs and looks at the ground. "You'll get a few groups, but unless you can tell everyone, it changes nothing." Soldier 4 said. I walk over to him and put out my hand to help him up.
Rin: That's why I need the codes to access the entire military network. I already have normal network access, I just need the militaries… It's kinda the reason I came to this checkpoint.
Soldier 4:(chuckles) So what? You're going to give the same heartfelt speech, then some kind of climatic fight?
Rin:(smiles) That's the plan!
Soldier 4:...(Sigh) I'm getting too old for this shit…(takes out data stick) Here, may as well take this. It's the last piece of the puzzle for you.
Soldier 1: Hey… Where did you get those? How?
Soldier 4: I may be getting old but I know a few tricks.
Soldier 3:(chuckles) Yeah, it's those "Tricks" that got you stuck down here with us Grunts!
Soldier 4:(shakes head) Yeah, Yeah, laugh it up.
Everyone shares a small laugh, I smile. "But still… Thank you." I thank the Soldier. He nods standing up. "Guess we need to keep trying till we get it right. No matter how many times we need to try." Soldier 4 said walking up next to me patting me on the shoulder. "Kids like you should be the ones to make the future brighter. Okay grunts, Move out!" Soldier 4 said walking away.
Soldier 1:(following soldier 4) Heh, with age comes wisdom, huh?
Soldier 4: Oh shut up…
Rin: … Thank you… Huian, I will make China a place where you could be happy!
