Caleb got out the cab with his heart pounding and his palms sweating. He was terrified and couldn't help but be a little intimidated at the huge mansion his mom lived in.
He would've looked poor or out of place if it wasn't for Hanna buying him clothes. His black button up shirt fitted him nicely along with the slightly rolled up sleeves that went to his mid Bicep.
Also wearing his signature jeans and his new converse he walked up to the closed gate.
"Please state your name and business." A voice sounded suddenly.
Caleb jumped at the sound of the voice and it came from the voice box that was on the gate.
"Caleb rivers. Here to see Claudia." Was all Caleb said. He didn't know who this guy was, so he wasn't very keen on telling him every detail.
"Come in mr.rivers." The voice said politely. Caleb was about to tell the man how he couldn't go in cause the gate wasn't open. But the sound of a loud click got his attention before the gate started to open.
Caleb took a deep breath before he walked in the gate to the front yard. He passed a huge fountain and marble sculptures.
He couldn't help but think of how rich and well off she was. Meanwhile he could barely afford a hot meal.
As he approached the front door he seen the door open. The woman that abandoned him stood there in all her glory. He felt so many emotions swarm all over as he took in her smile.
"Caleb. Oh my god you look so handsome. You're so big now." She said putting her hand over her mouth with her eyes watering up.
Caleb stood there awkwardly not knowing what to say or do.
"I can't believe you're 17 Caleb. It was like yesterday I was changing your diapers!" She exclaimed before reaching forward to hug him.
Caleb stiffly stood there hating the fact that a part of him was happy to see his mom cared and even more to have his mom hug him.
When she saw that he wasn't hugging her back she pulled away clearing her throat. "Sorry for overstepping boundaries. I'm just really happy to see you."
"It's fine." Caleb said shrugging it off. He was desperately telling his mind to not get emotional.
He was starting to wish he brought Hanna with him but he had a surprise for her, he couldn't be selfish and ruin it.
"Come in!" She said stepping inside. Caleb followed and saw a man walking to the door. He could tell it was a butler.
"If you need anything mr.rivers, I'm a call away." The butler said to him in a mind yet professional tone. Caleb recognized the voice. It was the same man that was talking to him outside.
Caleb nodded and gave him a polite smile as he followed her to the outside patio.
Once they were both sitting down she spoke up.
"Do you want anything? Water? Juice? Are you hungry?" She asked twiddling her thumbs.
Caleb just shook his head.
"It really means so much that you wanted to talk to me." She said to him.
"I uh. Bet it does."
Claudia sighed at his cold behavior before getting straight to the point. " so let me start from the beginning."

"Also take pictures when you go okay? I wanna see the light up Ferris wheel." Ashley said on the phone.
Hanna was in her room laying down talking to her mom on FaceTime. She didn't call her last night cause she forgot and she was drunk. Her mom would've probably flew out here if she found out her daughter was drunk in a different state. However Shortly after Caleb left her mom blew up her phone till Hanna called her.
"I will mom. So how was the house while I'm out? Must be lonely." Hanna teased.
Ashley chuckled before answering. "It honestly is. I can't wait for you to get home."
As her mom continued talking she heard the door open behind her.
Hanna rolled around to see the door open and seen it was Spencer.
Spencer saw she was on the phone and just mouthed 'hey' before sitting quietly next to her.
"Okay. I have to go back to work. But I'll be calling you tonight okay? Don't forget!" Her mom exclaimed.
Hanna smiled. "Okay. I'll talk to you later. Bye love you."
"Love you." Ashley said before hanging up.
Hanna put her phone down and turned to Spencer. "I want some coffee."
"Want me to make you some?" Spencer offered standing up.
Hanna sat up and shook her head. "No no no. No thank you. I'll just order some." Hanna said with her eyes widening.
Spencer frowned. "What's wrong with my coffee?"
"It's sloshy. Plus you always make it black." Hanna answered honestly standing up.
Spencer looked offended. "It's good that way!"
Hanna just laughed and went to her drawer to find something to wear.
"So how's it been sharing a room with Caleb ?" Spencer asked.
Hanna felt her heart speed up slightly but continued acting nonchalant. " it's okay. He's pretty cool. For someone sketchy I guess. I can see us being close friends."
"Do you like him or anything?" Spencer questioned.
Hanna turned around to face her with an eyebrow raised. "Um no. Why?"
"I was just asking." Spencer answered. Hanna thought the question was odd and random.
Hanna grabbed some clothes and went to the bathroom and spencer followed.
"So were you jealous of Ariana?" Spencer casually asked.
"Okay Spence. What is up with all the weird questions." Hanna snapped. She didn't like lying to any of them. But the more questions spencer asked the more she had to lie. Hanna felt she was being backed into a corner and her only way out was to lie.
Spencer sighed. "Well Toby and I tried to hook Caleb up with the waitress yesterday but she said you guys were dating. And saw you guys making out and grinding on eachother."
Hanna's mouth fell slack for a second. She didn't think telling that bitch off would backfire.
"I only did that so she'd leave Caleb alone. She found us at the nightclub and Caleb was getting annoyed. Plus the bitch stole my drink when I went to the bathroom." Hanna lied smoothly. She just prayed spencer would buy into it.
"So you willingly made out and grinded on him to scare a girl off?" Spencer asked Hanna disbelievingly.
"I just said that." Hanna rolled her eyes.
Spencer studied her face almost as she was a lie detector before sighing. "Well do you want to date him?"
Hanna rolled her eyes. "No. I don't want to date. Especially after-"
"Sean. I know."
Hanna turned on the shower and started to strip out of her clothes.
"Also Emily told me to tell you that you and Maya are hanging out at 7." Spencer informed.
"Ugh okay. Now I have to play third wheel." Hanna joked pulling off the remains of her clothes before going in the shower.
"Do you know when Caleb is coming back?" Spencer asked.
"Uhhh... I don't know text him or something." Hanna shrugged genuinely not knowing when he'd return from his moms place.
She just hoped he was alright.

"I was pregnant you when I was 17. My mom kicked me out when I was 16. Your father and I were in love but we broke up a year or two after you were born cause he went to prison.
I struggled with being a single mom that until I got a job. As a waitress and for a couple years took care of you. But funds and pay were low. And it worse until I got fired. We got evicted out and we were homless again. I couldn't provide for you. So I set you up with a family to adopt you. However we made an agreement. I get a year to get my stuff together and I would get you back." His mom explained.
She paused to see if he had any input. When he didn't reply she continued.
"Unfortunately they had to move urgently so you got sent to the system. And I couldn't get you back cause well I was seen as a unfit parent. The second family you had wouldn't let me see you. then after you left that family I had no idea what happened. Then I found out you went to a different state and I blamed myself. I lost you. I still worked and tried to send cards whenever I could but I didn't know where or if they even made it to you. I made sure to send a lot cause they always claimed to lose them in the mail. 6 years later I met William. My husband. We hit it off and got married a year later. When I was fully financially stable, I tried looking for you but they said you've been to so many foster homes that they couldn't tell where you was. plus you ran away multiple times.
So we hired a private investigator. No luck though. I hoped one day you'd have social media and I finally found you. Your brothers clay and James know about you And always ask if I found you and what were you like... I'm just glad i got to see you again and that I found you. And I'm so sorry for everything you went through because of me. I am the worst and I hope I can make it up to you the best I can." She finished with tears running down her face.
Caleb felt a tear fall on his hand. He didn't even know he was crying till now.
"I'm so sorry Caleb." Her mom said wiping away her tears. Caleb did the same. "I-its not your fault."
" yeah but. I missed out on so much of your life. And I've heard about the system and what happens in there. It is my fault." His mom sighed.
Caleb embraced his mom and she hugged him back. "Well we're here now. Let's start over."

Hanna got out the shower and put her robe on. She sat on the balcony of the room and took out her phone and texted Caleb.
Hanna: is everything okay?
She put her phone on the spot next to her on the sofa she was sitting in.
Hanna just laid back and got sun. She wished that she was here alone so she could sunbathe.
Her phone buzzed snapping her out of her sunny thoughts.
Picking up her phone she opened the texts.
Caleb: I'm okay. I'll text you later.
That was enough for Hanna. Usually she'd be annoyed cause she'd want to have a conversation but she knew how busy he was at the moment.
"Hey let's go out. Me, you, Maya right now." Emily said walking out into the patio.
Hanna looked over at Emily. "Right now? It's like 2pm?"
"Yeah I know we weren't supposed to leave till like 7 but I wanted to do some things first." Emily said checking her phone.
Hanna raised an eyebrow. Emily was hiding something. But her body was too exhausted to play interrogating cop.
"Okay well when are you trying to leave? Like in a hour?"
"No. now." Emily replied.
Hanna almost fell out of her seat. "Now? I don't have my hair done or an outfit picked out?!"
Emily rolled her eyes. "Hanna your hair is fine." She tried to assure her.
"Oh please. My hair looks like a beaver crawled up and died in it after fighting me for the last stick for it's dam." Hanna scoffed.
Emily tried to hold back her laugh before she replied. "Okay maybe the beaver dying is a stretch..."
"See I'm doing my hair." Hanna exclaimed standing up.
"Don't worry. You won't need to,just go as you are." Emily begged.
Hanna gave her a flat look and Emily was confused till she realized Hanna only had a robe on.
"Well uh with clothes. Come as you are with clothes." Emily re-clarified.
Rolling her eyes she stood up. "Fine I'll meet you down stairs in 5."
Emily left her room and started heading to her and mayas room. Just before she made it to the door she had a text.
She opened it and saw it was from Caleb.
Caleb: I'll get a tux on the way there don't worry.
Emily mentally nodded before walking into her room.

"God this lady really knows how to give massages. I wish you were in rosewood." Hanna sighed relaxing in the massage bed.
Maya, Emily and Hanna were currently at Solon nail spa. Hanna didn't know why only them three were going but she wasn't the one to turn down these type of things.
She hasn't heard back from Caleb since he replied to her text on the balcony and she was worried.
Soon a timer went off ending their massages and they went to the nail part of the place to start their nails.
"You don't have to do my-" Hanna tried. She literally got her nails done not even a week ago.
"Don't worry I'm taking care of it." The lady said. Before Hanna could respond she clipped one of her nails. Hanna sighed. Now she had to get her nails done. It takes forever to think of a design that she actually likes.
"How are things going between you and Caleb ?" Emily asked.
Hanna smiled. "Good. He opened up to me and it just feels amazing."
"That's really sweet." Maya says before giving Emily a knowing smile.
"How are you and maya?" Hanna asked this time.
"pretty good. your friend is a romantic. She took me to a raining beach. And a buffet with an all you can eat contest going on." Maya answered.
Hanna looked at her shocked not knowing what to think. None of those sounded romantic in the slightest and she couldn't tell if she was joking.
"I'm kidding." She chuckled.
Hanna let out a sigh of relief. "I was going to say. 'Emily what the hell is wrong with you.'"
Emily laughed before they the nail tech started to put the new nails on and grab out the acrylic powder.
"Oh I want-"
"I picked your nails. It's a surprise." Emily said interrupting her.
Hanna raised an eyebrow. "Surprise for what?"
When no one answered she frown. "Emily?" Hanna demanded.
"You'll see. Just trust me you'll love it."
Hanna spent the rest of the time talking to Maya and Emily and watching her nails get done like a hawk. She always picked her nails and was always picky about the way they looked. And for her to not know what was going on was killing her.
She saw mainly red colors and silver with jewels. They were pretty. But they weren't finished so she was keeping an eye out for error.
"Hanna you stare any harder you are gonna turn into a eagle." Emily joked.
Hanna sighed. "I'm sorry."
Soon the nails were done and Hanna actually approved of them. Now they were getting their hair done.
"Okay why are we getting glammed up? are we going somewhere?" Hanna asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yes. And it's a surprise okay?" Emily smirked.
Hanna huffed as the lady began flat ironing her hair.

"So did you talk to her?" Toby asked. He had just gotten out the shower and had a towel wrapped around his waist
Spencer was laying on her bed scrolling on her phone.
"Yeah." She answered. Toby knew she had more to say.
He went to the dresser and grabbed his clothes. "So how did it go?"
Spencer sighed. "I mean the reason makes sense I guess. But it's just odd? It doesn't seem like something Hanna would do."
Toby pulled up his boxers and grabbed his shirt to put on. "what did she say?"
She turned to face him before replying. " Hanna said Ariana was bothering him. So she pretended to date him to scare him off and to piss her off cause she stole her drink."
Toby nodded his head. "You know how Hanna is about her drinks." He said referring to one time at a party Hanna stomped a girls foot for making her spill her drink on the floor.
Spencer knew what he was talking about and snickered at the memory.
"I guess you have a point." Spencer sighed.
Toby smiled before reaching to grab his shirt to put it on.
"Oh uh you don't need that." Spencer said quickly getting up and taking the shirt out of his hands.
Toby raised an eyebrow. "I don't?"
"Nope. I like shirtless Toby." She said kissing his cheek.
Toby laughed before picking her up and playfully tossing Spencer on the bed. "I like shirtless Spencer too."

After a couple hours Caleb walked out his moms house feeling a lot of emotions but the main one was happy. He always knew he probably wouldn't never feel like he had a mom or anyone untill now.
Walking to the cab he felt his phone vibrate.
Emily: we're about to be finished with her hair. We're going to be leaving to get her dress and stuff in about 5 mins
Caleb quickly put his phone away and jogged to the cab. Once he was inside he fasted his seatbelt.
"Can you take me to the nearest tux store please?" He probably had at most 45 minutes to be there and ready. He wanted to get her flowers as well but he knew he wouldn't have time or nowhere to put them.
The driver started to drive to the destination and he thought he'd just do it for their next date. All he knew is that the color of Hanna dress was going to match his tux. He couldn't wait to see her reaction. Caleb also couldn't wait to tell her everything he found out about his mother. Unfortunately he didn't see his brothers cause they were out with their dad on a trip.
But he didn't let that bother him, he see them next time. Now he was gonna put the cherry on to his day. Spending the rest of it with Hanna
