Mario and Zelda: When Worlds Collide: Chapter 16: Arrival in Hyrule
Hyrule Castle Town
It was a busy day in Hyrule Castle Town. Link and Zelda had just returned to Hyrule after going back through a dimensional portal in Mario's world.
A Hylian royal knight was looking at the view of the sky from high above in Hyrule Castle. He noticed a red comet coming towards Hyrule Castle. The comet was heading straight for the fountain of the castle courtyard. The comet landed leaving dust and damaged stone.
A Hylian citizen walked up to the comet to reveal none other than Mario. The Hylian citizen didn't know who this was and people stopped what they were doing and came to look at Mario.
"Who the Hylia is that?", asked one of the citizens.
"I don't know. We must take this person to a healer immediately.", said the other citizen.
Link and Zelda were walking through the hallways of the castle when a knight came up to them.
"Link, Princess! I'm glad I found you! Some citizens found a strange looking man with a red hat, a mustache, and a red shirt.", said the knight.
"Wait, a man in a red hat with a mustache?", asked Zelda.
"That could only be... Mario!", said Link.
"Who is Mario?", asked the knight.
"It's a long story. We met him when we were sucked into the dimensional portal in Gerudo Desert.", said Zelda.
"Interesting.", said the knight.
"Where is he now?", asked Link.
"He's in the Castle Town healer's room.", said the knight.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!", said Zelda.
Link and Zelda ran to the healer's room and walked inside. The healer was putting a damp towel on Mario's forehead.
"Ah, if it isn't Link and Zelda! This strange man is unconscious since he landed in the fountain in the castle courtyard.", said the healer.
Just then, Mario's eyes started opening. His eyes hurt since he wasn't adjusted to the light in the room.
"What the... where am I?", asked Mario.
"Mario?", asked Link.
"Link? Zelda? Why are you two here?", asked Mario.
"The better question is, why are you here in our world?", asked Zelda.
"Your world? The last thing I remember is I was sucked into a dimensional portal and I landed in a fountain.", said Mario.
"How did you end up in our world?", asked Link.
"If I recall correctly, Bowser Jr. had kidnapped me, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Peach, Yoshi and Donkey Kong and placed us at the Toad Town fountain. Then, he used the Dimensional Diamond to send us to another dimension. He must've gotten sucked in along with the rest of us.", said Mario.
"The Dimensional Diamond is still in your world?", asked Zelda.
"Yep. And so is the paper with the prayer on it.", said Mario.
"Quite a story. Do you know where Ganondorf is?", asked Link.
"Nope. I assume he died in the lava pit in my world.", said Mario.
"Well, where is Luigi and the rest of those people you mentioned?", asked Zelda.
"I'm not sure. They're probably somewhere in this world in the form of a comet.", said Mario.
Rito Village: Flight Range
It was a busy day in Rito Village. Rito citizens, Hylians, Gorons and Gerudo were visiting the village, shopping, and talking to one another.
A Rito villager named Teba was practicing flying out in the Flight Range. He had just gotten a huge gust of air that sent him soaring high into the sky.
Just then, something flew past Teba. It was a green comet. Teba followed the comet which landed right in the throne room of Rito village's elder.
Once the comet landed, the floor was damaged and dust filled the air. The comet was revealed to be none other than Luigi.
Teba flew into the throne room of the village elder and looked at Luigi.
"Who is this, Teba?", asked the elder.
"I'm not sure elder, but whoever he is, he came out of nowhere.", said Teba.
Luigi's eyes began to open. "Look, he's waking up!", said the elder.
"Oh man... where am I? What is this place? Who are you people?", asked Luigi.
"I'm Teba and this is our village elder, Ronin. You're in Rito Village.", said Teba.
"Rito Village?", asked Luigi.
"Why it's one of the most visited villages in Hyrule!", said Ronin.
"Hyrule?", asked Luigi.
"Who are you, stranger?", asked Teba.
"I'm Luigi, hero of the Mushroom Kingdom. Does that sound familiar?", asked Luigi.
"Nope. There's no Mushroom Kingdom in Hyrule.", said Ronin.
"Wait a minute. Hyrule, no Mushroom Kingdom. Now I know what happened! Bowser Jr. sent me, my bro Mario, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Peach, and Donkey Kong here with the Dimensional Diamond! He must've been sucked in with us.", said Luigi.
"You come from another dimension?", asked Teba.
"Yes. If this is Hyrule, have you seen Link and Zelda?", asked Luigi.
"Why of course! They are in Hyrule Castle which is a bit far from here.", said Ronin.
"Link, Zelda and Ganondorf were taken into my dimension awhile ago and they only recently came back to Hyrule using a machine that a man named Professor Elvin Gadd made.", said Luigi.
"Interesting story! If you want to get to Hyrule Castle quickly, find a horse and tame it.", said Teba.
"Thanks!", said Luigi.
"You're welcome!", said Teba.
Luigi walked out of the village and found a horse. He tamed it and brought it to the stable that was sitting outside the bridge to Rito Village.
"Howdy stranger! I see you found yourself a horse. What would you like to name it?", asked the man at the front desk.
"I'll name it Luma.", said Luigi.
"Good choice for a name, stranger!", said the man. The man then gave Luigi a saddle.
"How can I get to Hyrule Castle quickly?", asked Luigi.
"Oh that's easy! Just go south and cross the Tabantha Bridge near the Tabantha Stable.", said the man.
"Thanks!", said Luigi.
"You're welcome!", said the man.
Gerudo City
It was a busy day in Gerudo City. Only females are allowed in Gerudo Town, no males allowed. Except for Gorons since you can't tell which are male or female anyway.
A Gerudo child was sitting on the top of the city eating bananas and noticed a yellow comet heading straight for the city square.
The comet then landed smack in the square of the city. As the dust cleared, it revealed Wario.
"This is a voe! A voe has landed in our city!", said a Gerudo citizen.
"Well, get him out of the city and take him to the bazaar.", said a Goron.
"Good idea!", said the Gerudo citizen.
The Gerudo citizen named Savannah and the Goron named Naybu took Wario to the bazaar that was not far from the city.
"Who is this person anyway?", asked Savannah.
"I'm not sure.", said Naybu.
Just then, Wario's eyes opened. "Where am I? Who are you people?", asked Wario.
"You're in Gerudo Desert.", said Savannah.
"I've never heard of a Gerudo Desert.", said Wario.
"Where do you come from?", asked Naybu.
"I come from the Mushroom Kingdom. Does that sound familiar?", asked Wario.
"Nope. There's no Mushroom Kingdom in Hyrule.", said Savannah.
"Wait a minute! I remember now! Bowser Jr. sent us here using the Dimensional Diamond!", said Wario.
"You come from another dimension?", asked Naybu.
"Yes. I come from the Mushroom Kingdom dimension.", said Wario.
"Have you by any chance seen a gorilla, a princess, three men with mustaches and hats similar to mine, a green dinosaur, and a turtle dragon hybrid child, have you?", asked Wario.
"Nope. I'm afraid not.", said Savannah.
"Well, they gotta be somewhere in this world!", said Wario.
"Maybe your friend is in Hyrule Castle.", said Naybu.
"What's the quickest way there?", asked Wario.
"Cut through the northern region and then head for Central Hyrule.", said Savannah.
"Thanks!", said Wario as he ran off.
"You're welcome!", said Naybu.

Mario, Luigi and Wario have just landed in Hyrule. But what about the others? Did they land in Hyrule? Tune in next time for the next chapter in this series!
Finally got this chapter finished! Overcoming writer's block and taking breaks every now and then is the reason why I haven't been writing every single day. But I'm proud of myself for the work that I've done. The next chapter will be coming soon, so don't think this is the end.
