Hotch managed to lead Alex out of the ballroom into the back hallway. "Come on just a little bit further," Hotch said. "Charles should be here by now."
"We're here," Charles said as he and Hugh came bounding for them. "I didn't understand you when you called. What's going on?"
Hotch turned toward them as Alex hung onto him. "I think she was drugged."
"What?" Charles looked at Alex in a panic. "Alex, look at me." He held her face in his hands.
"Oh, Charles, there you are," she said as she detached from Hotch and moved toward Charles. "Sondra is so lucky, you know that."
"Yes, she is, but right now, we need to get you out of here and into bed."
"Bed, that's an excellent idea," Alex said as she moved her arms around Charles. "You're so handsome," she said and kissed Charles on the cheek. She moved in to kiss him again, but Charles managed to keep her at arm's length.
"We have to get her out of here," Hugh said.
"Easier said than done," Charles proclaimed as he wrestled with her wandering hands.
"Do you remember that one time in Bora Bora?" Alex asked. "We were a lot like this, only we weren't wearing any clothes. We should do that again."
"Wait, what?" Hugh questioned. "What is she talking about?"
"Do you really think that's the important thing at this moment?" Charles announced while trying to keep her hands off of him. "Why don't you pick her up over your shoulder, and we will get her back to the room."
"Good, you guys do that, and I will go find Reid," Hotch said.
"Yeah, that's a good idea," Hugh agreed. "We'll get her out." Hotch walked away as Hugh turned back to Charles. "Then we are going to have a nice long talk about Bora Bora." Hugh grabbed her and draped her over his shoulder, and quickly walked down the hall.
Charles was in front of them, opening doors and leading the way. "What's sad is that this isn't the worst condition I've seen her in."
"Apparently, you've seen a lot more of her than anyone thought," Hugh said.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"I don't know, you tell me."
"Uh, this is ridiculous," Charles announced. "Can't we argue about this later?"
"You have such a nice butt," Alex said. Her hair was bobbing towards the floor as her face had a first-row view of Hugh's backside. "Has anyone ever told you that?" With both hands, she clutched onto his cheeks.
"Whoa," Hugh exclaimed.
"What?" Charles asked.
"She's grabbed onto my butt!"
Charles let out a sigh and then held onto Alex's hands. "No, sweetie. We aren't going to do that, okay?"
"Okay," she said with a giggle. "I love you."
"I love you, too," Charles said appeasingly.
The men rushed to get her back into the room, where Hugh put her on the bed while Charles shut the door. Alex got onto her knees and grabbed ahold of Hugh's shirt. "You can't leave me now."
Hugh grabbed onto her arms and looked into her eyes. "Alex, you need to snap out of it. Take control. Focus. Fight it!"
"Fight? I don't want to fight you, baby. Kiss me. You're such a good kisser," Alex said.
Charles put his hands on his hips. "And you want to talk about Bora Bora?"
Hugh turned back to Charles. "We've all had to kiss her at one time or another. That's what going undercover was all about. Except none of my assignments required that the two of us be naked together," he said in a harsh tone.
"Oh, come on, Hugh, drop it."
"You were naked with our friend's wife!"
"She wasn't his wife then! They weren't even dating. So, stop acting like I crossed some line!"
"Oh, please don't fight over me," Alex said. "You both can have me!" she said, raising her arms in the air in triumph. Suddenly her face dropped, then she collapsed forward, landing on the floor.
Hugh and Charles both rushed to her side, helping her up. "Alex? Can you hear me?" Hugh called out as he held her head in his hands.
"Drugged," she said faintly, then burst into a giggle. She reached out to Hugh and pulled on his bowtie.
"Did I ever tell you that I love that you are attracted to boys and girls? It's sexy."
"Alex," Hugh said in a calm tone. "You aren't yourself right now."
"You know, for someone who likes stuffy music and dull literature, you're pretty cool."
Hugh smirked. "Thank you."
"So, what are you waiting for? Take me!"
Hugh grabbed her by the wrists and held them away from him. "When will Spencer be here?" he asked Charles.
Alex's eyes widened. "Oh, Spencer! Yes! Then it can be a real party! Me and my boys."
"Alex!" Reid called out as he rushed into the room.
"Thank God." Charles stood up and moved out of the way. "I haven't seen this kind of drug agent before. It's like it was making her lustful or something."
"What?" Reid questioned as he looked up to Charles and then to Hugh, who was nodding. He looked down at Alex, who was lying against Hugh. "Alex?" he said softly.
"Spencer," she burst upwards and threw her arms around him. She clutched onto him and was breathing quickly.
"It's okay. What happened?"
"I have Garcia reviewing the camera footage now," Hotch said as he stepped into the room from the doorway. "She was out of frame then came back into the room with a champagne glass."
Alex pulled away from him and put her hands on his cheeks. She then attacked him with kisses so forcefully that he fell backward with her on top of him. Hugh and Charles each reached for an arm and pulled her up. They moved her over to the chair and sat her down while Reid worked on composing himself.
Reid stood in front of her, where he told the guys that he could handle it. "Alex, I really don't want to have to restrain you."
"Oh, you want to tie me up?" she asked playfully.
Reid closed his eyes and let out a sigh. "No, I want to keep you safe. I can only imagine what this drug would have made her do if we weren't there."
"And for the rest of the public," Hotch said. "Was this done to Alex intentionally, or was she the one to take the glass? A bad place, bad time thing?"
"We are going to have to figure that out," Reid added.
"I have something for you to figure out," Alex said. She stood up and quickly slipped off her dress from her shoulders and let it pool at her feet.
Hotch turned around while Charles looked to the ground and Hugh looked to the ceiling. Reid picked up the blanket from the bed and wrapped it around her bare chest. "Yeah, let's just cover you up."
"That's not what you said when we were on the island," Alex said. "Remember when we were alone, and you wanted me to—"
"Okay," Reid interrupted. "Alex, look at me! You are stronger than this!"
Rossi entered the room and pulled Hotch aside. "We have a problem."
"Another one?" Hotch questioned.
"Maribel Urias was just taken by an ambulance to the hospital," Rossi said.
"The Congresswoman?" Hotch questioned. "What happened?"
"The assumption right now is that she was drugged."
Hugh turned and headed toward Rossi. "Was she by any chance acting… promiscuously?"
Rossi nodded. "Yes," he said with a puzzled look.
Hotch and Hugh each took a step back, allowing Rossi to witness Alex fighting with Reid to remove the blanket he continued to put on her. "Oh, well, it appears you have been having an interesting evening thus far." Rossi then turned to Hotch. "When did this happen?"
"It's been roughly thirty minutes. She was acting strangely, then she called me Hotch."
"Normally, I would make a quip about that, but I will save it for a better time," Rossi said. "I am going to have the party shut down. We need to get this contained."
