Chapter 12
Callie was sitting at her desk in her office, like she's done just about every day since she quit her job, outside of the days she and Jamie were working together that was. She was enjoying not having to go to work, but today she found herself bored. Clicking around on her laptop, she found a news story about Jamie and was in the middle of reading it when she heard someone clear her throat from the doorway. Looking up she saw Teddy standing there "yes" she smiled
"I um, I was wondering if I could use your car"
"where is it you are needing to go?"
"well" she looked down shyly, causing Callie to be confused, Teddy wasn't shy about anything, still looking at the blonde she heard a mumbled "I need some tampons"
"are there none in the hall closet?" Callie asked, she could have sworn she bought some when they last went shopping.
"I just used the last one" Teddy said
"ok" Callie said closing her laptop and standing up "come on, I'll drive" she smiled. "is there a specific store you wanted to go to?"
"no" Teddy shook her head "Walgreens is fine"
"alright" Callie smiled, starting the car and backing out of the driveway. Noting the time "what do you say we bring our girls lunch?"
"whatever you want to do" Teddy said not taking her eyes off the window.
"hmm" Callie hummed, Teddy wasn't acting herself, she wondered if or what was bothering her. Deciding to just get it out of her she asked "is there something wrong?"
"no, I'm just cramping bad" Teddy said still not taking her eyes off the window
"I have these great pills that help with that, I get cramps so bad I can't get out of bed" she said as she stopped at a redlight "there might be some in the center thing here" she lifted up her arm and started digging "ah ha" she pulled out a bottle and handed it to the blonde "take two" Teddy nodded taking the bottle from her "I don't have anything to drink"
"we'll get you one" she smiled as she turned into the parking lot, finding a place to park she shut off the car. "you coming?"
"yeah" Teddy mumbled and got out of the car, following Callie. Standing in front of the tampons and other feminine hygiene products Callie said "just get what you want" she saw Teddy visibly let out a sigh and reach for a box of tampons. Callie grabbed a couple more boxes, and led Teddy around the store grabbing some random snacks. Teddy still hadn't said much, by the time they were back home, Callie had decided she had enough "Teddy" Teddy looked at her as she set the bags down on the kitchen counter. "what's going on?"
"nothing just the cramping" Teddy said not making eye contact
"hmm" Callie hummed as she took out the items from a bag, she heard Teddy let out a sigh "do you remember that night last month when April and I went out?"
"weren't you supposed to go out with Laura and Jo?"
"yeah" Teddy nodded "but Laura wasn't feeling good, so they stayed home"
"ok" Callie said sitting down on a bar stool, as Teddy did the same "well April and I went out anyway, we were at a bar, I don't even remember which one" she stopped taking a deep breath "there was this guy there, who was hot, I'm talking super-hot, April even thought so" Callie nodded to let Teddy know she was listening "well" she sighed "we ended up going to his place and"
"the two of you?" Callie asked she was a little confused, but she saw Teddy nod "so what happened?"
"do I really need to say it?" Teddy said embarrassed
"well" Callie shrugged
"April and I had a three some with this super-hot guy we met at a bar"
"hmm" Callie shook her head not sure if she wanted to know anymore but when Teddy kept talking "April, being the super lesbian that she is wouldn't let him touch her"
"how the hell do you get yourself into situations like this" Callie shook her head
"I don't know, but last month I never got my period" Callie looked at her "so you thought"
"I thought I might be pregnant, April and I talked about it, and we decided to see what happens, I never took a test or anything but we were both excited about the possibility" Callie had to hold back a laugh. "so now you're upset because you aren't" Teddy nodded "do you think now is a good time for you to be pregnant?" Callie asked "I mean you're starting med school next month, and in the process of buying a house"
"I don't need a lecture from you" Teddy said
"does Arizona know"
"no" Teddy shook her head "and I don't plan on telling her, unless April already did or does"
"pretty sure she hasn't" Callie closed her eyes "alright well I have some more of those pills in my bathroom upstairs" she said handing Teddy a box of tampons "you know if you need them" Teddy nodded "why don't you go take a hot bath and I'll get some lunch started, we can veg out on the couch and watch cheesy movies for the rest of the day"
"thank you Callie" Teddy said as she lunged forward wrapping her arms around her.
"let's not make a big deal out of it, but I think you should tell your sister" Callie said hugging her back
"do I have to?" Teddy groaned
"yes" Callie nodded, Teddy let out a sigh rolling her eyes then grabbed the box of tampons and disappeared. Shaking her head Callie let out a sigh and started on making lunch. Forgetting all about wanting to bring Arizona lunch.

Arizona walked out of her office to see April staring at her phone, she couldn't tell if the look on her face was relief or sadness. Cocking her head, she looked her friend "everything alright?"
"huh?" April looked up "yeah everything is fine" she smiled "Teddy has bad cramps"
"Callie has these amazing pills that will make it go away tell her to ask for them"
"she already did" April said setting her phone down on her desk "oh hey, I got a call from the realtor today, closing is set for the end of the month"
"that's good" Arizona smiled leaning against the door frame
"it is" April let out a sigh "thank god Callie is loaning me the money, I don't think I could have gotten a loan"
"yeah" Arizona said she wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea, but it's Callie's money and she wasn't about to tell her how to spend it. She was about to say something when the door opened and in walked Sarah. "shit, I forgot we had an appointment today" Arizona said looking at April who shrugged. Sarah let out a laugh "should I come back?"
"nah" Arizona smiled she hadn't seen her friend since the day they got drunk in the pool, which was over a month ago "come on in, just give me a minute to grab your file"
"I have it here, she may have forgot but I had it ready" April said handing Arizona the file folder with Sarah's name on it "thanks" Arizona smiled and headed into her office. Shutting the door, she walked over to her desk "is everything ok with April?"
"um" Arizona said turning to look at the door "you noticed that too?"
"I did" Sarah nodded setting her bag down on the floor next to the chair "I also heard Laura saying something about it"
"hmm" Arizona hummed as she sat down in her chair, setting the file on the desk "I'm not sure what it is. I guess both Teddy and April have been weird since my parents left"
"well I'm sure they'll tell you when the time is right"
"yeah" Arizona said opening the folder pulling out the top sheet "we're looking at a release date of August 7th"
"that's still a few months away" Sarah smiled
"do you have your authors note? And have you decided on a picture?" Arizona asked looking through the rest of the paperwork in the folder pulling out the sheet she was checking everything off on.
"authors note right here" Sarah said sliding a piece of paper across the desk "as far as a picture goes, I don't know" Arizona looked up and smiled "a lot of authors go without on their first book, or at all, I personally like it when there is a picture of the author, gives me a little more insight on the person who wrote the book"
"I'll sit this one out" Sarah smiled "but my next one" Arizona perked up hearing that, but didn't say anything until Sarah smiled "yes I'm working on my next book, and no you can't read it yet"
"dammit" Arizona stomped her foot but laughed as she read over the authors note. "this sounds great, I'll have April get it typed up and sent in" she said reaching for her phone "yeah" April said
"can you come and get Sarah's authors note and have it sent in today"
"yeah" the phone went silent and the door opened as April made her way into the room. She took the paper Arizona was holding up and turned to leave, standing at the door "Zo, can we talk"
"well obviously I'm in a meeting right now"
"yeah" April bowed her head and turned to leave "April" Arizona said getting her attention, she looked up "we're done"
"ok" April reached for the door shutting it, if she was gonna do this here she was gonna have as much privacy as possible. She went and sat in her usual chair. "I can head out if we're done" Sarah said reaching for her bag.
"no, stay, we're all pretty much family at this point anyway" April said as she took a deep breath and began "do you remember that night last month when Teddy and I went out?"
"weren't you supposed to go out with Laura and Jo?" Arizona asked looking at Sarah who shrugged
"yeah Laura was sick"
"ok" Arizona said confused
"well Teddy and I went out anyway, we were at a bar and I was completely wasted" she stopped taking a deep breath "there was this guy there, who Teddy thought was hot, I kind of thought so too" Arizona nodded putting her elbows on her desk, and her head in her hands "well" April sighed "we ended up going to his place and"
"oh my god" Sarah gasped
"the two of you?" Arizona asked she was more than a little confused, "so what happened?"
"please don't make me say it" April sighed
"you didn't" Sarah said catching on
"well" Arizona said she had a feeling she knew what happened but she wanted April to say it
"Teddy and I had a three some with a guy we met at a bar" April said not making eye contact with either blonde in the room. Arizona was baffled "what? how? Aren't you?" shaking her head "April"
"I didn't let him touch me, but him and Teddy"
"you let my sister have sex with a complete stranger you met at a bar"
"I guess in a sense yes, but I was involved too, while he was"
"I don't need details" Arizona plugged her ears
"anyway, Teddy didn't get her period last month so"
"you thought she was pregnant?" Sarah asked
"yes" April said "but she got it today"
"why are you so bummed, that's a good thing" Arizona asked she was baffled at this
"we had decided if she were pregnant we weren't going to tell him, hell neither one of us remembers his name, and keep it as our own" Arizona closed her eyes tight, now she was getting irritated "are you two insane?" she asked through gritted teeth "scratch that I know Teddy is, but April, I, I. I don't even know what to say"
"yeah"
"what if she would have been pregnant?" Arizona pushed back her chair and stood "do you really think the two of you are ready for that?"
"Arizona calm down" Sarah said. Arizona looked over at Sarah "you're telling me that if this was Laura and Jo you'd be calm?"
"well no, but Jamie is usually the one who freaks out not me" Arizona took a deep breath and looked at April again "Teddy is starting med school next month, and you're in the process of buying a house"
"Arizona, she's not pregnant" Sarah said
"are you sure?" she said looking at April
"well she got her period so" April shrugged, Arizona let out a sigh "cancel the rest of my appointments for today we're going home"
"you act like you're her mom" April said standing up "which you aren't"
"no I'm her sister" Arizona spat out "now go and cancel my appointments"
"fine" April sighed and left the room
"don't you think you were a little hard on her" Sarah said standing up reaching for her bag
"trust me that's nothing compared to what my mom would have done and said" she plopped down in her chair letting out a long sigh. "well let Jamie or I know if you need anything" Sarah said making her way to the door, Arizona didn't say anything just grunted "and Arizona" she turned around as Arizona looked up "go easy on them, Teddy is still confused it's not easy being in your first lesbian relationship after being with guys for so long" Arizona took a deep breath and nodded "thanks Sarah" Sarah nodded and left. Arizona sighed again looking over her desk, seeing April had left Sarah's authors note, reaching for it she decided to type it up herself and send it in.

Callie and Teddy were laying on the couches watching a movie, when Callie heard the garage door open "what the" she looked at the clock "their home early"
"shit" Teddy said looking at her phone, she sat up quickly and was about to stand up when Arizona yelled "Theodora"
"shit you're in trouble"
"April told her" Teddy said closing her eyes as Arizona came into the room standing in the doorway she crossed her arms "Callie already gave me the lecture"
"you knew?" Arizona said looking at Callie
"I just told her today" Teddy said
"here" Arizona said handing Teddy a paper bag, "what's this"
"a pregnancy test, go take it"
"I have my period"
"that's what I said" April said coming into the room
"I don't care, go take it" Arizona said pointing towards the bathroom "alright mom jeez"
"she just called you mom" Callie laughed but the smile quickly faded when Arizona gave her the look "sorry" Callie said sitting back on the couch.
"I'm gonna" April said as she disappeared
"how could they be so stupid" Arizona said plopping down on the couch next to Callie "I just don't understand how"
"Arizona" Callie said "it's their life, they are both adults"
"you wouldn't be saying that if she is pregnant"
"actually I would, they are both adults and shit happens, I'm sure they learned their lesson" Arizona shook her head letting out a deep sigh, and moved closer to Callie, placing a kiss on her lips, then laying her head on her shoulder. "see" Teddy said coming into the room holding the stick "not pregnant"
"good" Arizona said letting out a sigh of relief Teddy dropped the stick on the coffee table and left the room. Callie leaned forward picking it up reading the not pregnant on it "crisis diverted" she said setting it back down.
"thank god"
"you were a little hard on her"
"Sarah said the same thing"
"Sarah knows?"
"she was there when April told me"
"so that's why you're home so early" Arizona nodded and cuddled into Callie "I think you should talk to her"
"she's fine" Arizona said
"I still think you should go talk to her" Callie said softly
"ugh, fine" Arizona sat up and got up off the couch making her way up the stairs, once she got to the top step she heard "Arizona is always the perfect one, Arizona can do no wrong, you know what I'm fucking tired of it" she heard something hit the wall. When she got to the door to Teddy's room she knocked softly "what" Teddy screamed
"can I come into the out now?"
"no you cannot come into the out"
"sure I can, alls you gots to do its opens the door" Arizona said quoting a movie they used to watch. She stood there waiting, when the door opened, and April stepped out "she's pissed"
"I know" Arizona said moving cautiously into the room
"I said I didn't want to talk"
"well I think we need to" Arizona said sitting on the bed "so sit and hear me out"
"why?"
"you know" Arizona sigh "do you remember when Joann first moved in with us and you and I were always fighting?"
"yeah and" Teddy said looking at her sister
"once we finally sat down and talked it out everything was better, and we promised no matter what we'd be there for each other" Teddy nodded "I know I was hard on you, I just don't understand how you could let this happen, you and April love each other"
"that's why it happened"
"what do you mean?" Arizona asked confused
"she thinks I miss being with a man"
"do you?"
"no" Teddy shook her head "not at all, April gives me more than any man has ever given me" Teddy said sitting down on the bed "I love her with everything I have"
"that's good to know" Arizona smiled
"I mean the sex alone is so amazing, she really knows what she's doing with her tongue"
"I don't need details" Arizona laughed
"oh come on, I wouldn't mind hearing about Callie's amazing abilities in the bedroom" Arizona could feel her face turn red "I've heard you scream" Teddy said poking her sister "stop" Arizona said pushing her away. They looked at each other "I love you Teddy; I hope you know that"
"I love you too Arizona, you're my best friend" Arizona smiled pulling Teddy into a hug.

"I don't hear any screaming" April said looking towards the stairs
"they've probably killed each other" Callie said letting out a sigh, looking at April, giving her a confused look "how old are you anyway" she laughed
"I'm 25" April said and they shared a laugh
"sorry, I just" Callie shrugged "I've never asked and you look young"
"I get that a lot" April sighed "Arizona thought I was only 18 when we met"
"yeah" Callie sat back on the couch, hearing the doorbell ring she got up "why would anyone want to come here" she mumbled as she pulled the door open, a smile graced her face "Addie"
"is this a bad time?" the redhead asked
"no, no come in" Callie moved aside so Addison could pass her, Callie was about to introduce her best friend to her roommate when she turn around April was gone. She giggled shaking her head "have a seat you want a drink?"
"no I'm good for now" Addison said as she took a seat on the chair, Callie smiled and reclaimed her seat on the couch, as she moved the blanket she was using earlier, folding it she laid it on the back of the couch. "um, Cal, why is there a pregnancy test laying on your coffee table?" Addison asked leaning forward, reaching for it. Callie let out a groan "long story" she sat back.
"are you and Arizona already"
"no, no" Callie shook her head "we aren't there yet"
"hmm" Addison hummed as she place the test back where she found it and looked around "I love what you've done with the place"
"yeah" Callie smiled looking around "it was Arizona"
"I figured as much" Addison smiled, just then Teddy came back into the room, taking her spot on the loveseat where she was earlier. Addison looked at her confused "um hi" Teddy said
"hi" Addison smiled "why aren't you sitting" she pointed to the spot next to Callie.
"because that would be weird" Teddy smiled, hearing Callie laugh "Addison this is Arizona's sister Teddy" Callie watched as realization hit her "Teddy this is Addison, my best friend"
"nice to meet you" Teddy stood holding out her hand
"oh my god" Addison laughed as she shook her hand "you two look so much alike I thought maybe I walked in on a fight or something"
"well you kind of did but everything is good now" Teddy smiled her eyes glanced at the coffee table seeing the test still laying there "I should get rid of that"
"maybe" Callie smiled
"oh" Teddy let out a giggled "I was supposed to tell you Arizona is taking a bath, and you're supposed to join her" Callie laughed, shaking her head "should I go?" Addison asked
"no, but give me a minute"
"sure" Addison smiled as Callie ran up the stairs, leaving Addison in the living room alone.

Arizona had just lowered herself into the water when she heard the door to the bedroom open, and Callie came into the bathroom "you joining me?"
"Addison is here"
"right now?"
"yes"
"guess that's a no on the bath then" Arizona said a little disappointed
"sorry"
"no problem" Arizona smiled "go hang out with your friend you don't get to see her often" Callie leaned down and placed a kiss on Arizona's lips "I'll be down when I'm done"
"ok" Callie kissed her again and left, Arizona let out a deep sigh and laid back, enjoying the relaxation the water had to offer.

"sorry about that" Callie said making her way back down the stairs, she laughed when she saw Addison looking at pictures around the room. Addison turned around and smiled, holding the picture she was just looking at. "remember when this was taken" Addison asked holding it up.
"I do" Callie laughed moving closer so she could look at it too.
"Cristina and Meredith" Addison said shaking her head. She took a deep breath and set the picture back on the shelf. "they were in Seattle" Addison said not making eye contact with Callie.
"oh? How are they?"
"Cristina is completely obsessed with cardio, and Meredith." She paused shaking her head
"Meredith is obsessed with Derek"
"wait what?" Callie said looking at her friend, she saw Addison give a sad smile and nod "I thought you went there to get him back"
"I did, but" she shrugged, Callie shook her head "come on, I got wine"
"oh thank god" Addison let out a sigh and followed Callie into the kitchen.

Arizona found Callie and Addison sitting out back by the pool, an empty wine bottle laying on the table and the glasses were empty. "we tried" Addison slurred "Derek and I we tried for a bit, but he, he just kept running back to her"
"well it would have helped if you didn't cheat on him to begin with" Callie said looking at her friend
"I know, I was the one who fucked up, and now he's happy" Addison waved her arms around. Arizona wasn't sure if she should stay or go. "you know they're calling him McDreamy?" she giggled "like Meredith and Cristina think that he's this amazing guy"
"isn't he?" Callie laughed
"yes" Addison cried "but you know what" she hiccupped; Callie didn't say anything just sat there quietly "he didn't even tell her he was married" she said as she smacked her head down on the table. "how did my life get so fucked up?"
"you slept with another man while you were married" Callie said
"why do you keep saying that?" Addison picked her head up and looked at Callie
"because it's the truth" Callie said, she smiled when she saw Arizona standing in the doorway "hi"
"hello" Arizona smiled, Addison turned around "and now she probably thinks I'm a bitch"
"no not at all" Arizona said shaking her head as she moved closer. Addison looked up and was met with Arizona's eyes "damn"
"I know right" Callie giggled causing Arizona to shake her head
"they're amazingly blue" Addison said again, as she reached for Arizona's arms to hold her still to look at her eyes some more.
"alright stop manhandling my fiancée" Callie said reaching out and pulling Arizona out of Addison's grip.
"how do you say no to that?"
"I can't" Callie laughed "imagine having two sets of them" she shook her head.
"Addie would you like some coffee or water?" Arizona asked
"a water would be great" Addison said realizing she'd had way too much wine. Arizona nodded and went back into the house, coming back out with three bottles of water, handing one to Addison and setting the other two on the table. Then she took the seat next to Callie "it's ok if I join right?"
"of course" Callie said leaning over and kissing Arizona's temple
"we're just talking about how fucked up my life is" Addison laughed, sitting back in her chair she let out a sigh "Cal, what the fuck happened to me?"
"I don't know Addie"
Arizona looked at the two in confusion, they were so different she was wondering how they became friends. "what?" Addison asked when she caught Arizona looking at her
"sorry I was just wondering how you, um, how you met"
"oh that's easy" Addison laughs, and she and Callie both say in unison "high school"
"so you've known each other since high school?"
"junior high, actually" Callie smiled
"damn"
"your girl here, used to sit in the back of the class and chew on her hair"
"don't tell her shit like that" Callie swatted Addison's arm
"she needs to know" Addison slurred almost falling off the chair when she reached for the bottle of water.
"really" Arizona laughed looking at Callie, who rolled her eyes and said "yeah"
"it's ok I'm sure Teddy will tell you embarrassing stories about me in high school"
"she already has" Callie smiled and took a sip of her water, Arizona just shrugged her shoulders and smiled.

After dinner, which consisted of Chinese take out and pizza, they decided to go for both because no one could decide what they wanted. They all joined again outside by the pool, "so" Addison started out, she had stopped drinking after her break down and sobered up after eating, she looked up and started giggling.
"what?" Callie asked confused
"I'm sorry Arizona, I just. I don't know how I confused the two of you"
"what do you mean?" Arizona asked
"when she first got here she thought I was you" Teddy said shaking her head
"but I see now there are noticeable differences"
"hmm" Arizona rolled her eyes, she was used to it.
"so what was with the pregnancy test?" Addison asked
"well" Callie said sitting back in her chair looking at Teddy and April
"I'd rather not get into it" Teddy breathed out, as April took her hand
"ok" Addison smiled then looked at Arizona "have you guys talked about a date for the wedding?"
"no" Arizona shook her head
"why the hell not?"
"we've been busy" Callie said not making eye contact with her friend
"why don't we start now?" Addison smiled
"I'll go get my planner" Callie sighed and stood up
"what's up with that?" Addison asked, her eyes not leaving Callie as she went into the house
"I'm" Arizona let out a sigh "I'm not sure?" she shook her head looking at Teddy and April, who both shrugged. Callie came back a few minutes later, setting her planner on the table and sitting down with a sigh "um, Cal" Addison started to say, when Callie looked at her Addison gave her a sad smile and asked "what's wrong?"
"I just" Callie let out another sigh and ran her hands over her face "I just don't want to stand in front of a ton of people and" she stopped talking when she felt Addison's hand on her arm. Callie looked at Arizona "I'm sorry"
"it's ok Calliope" Arizona smiled "we'll figure something out"
"Vegas" Addison blurted out
"what?" both Callie and Arizona looked at her confused
"you can do it in Vegas"
I know this was ridiculous but I wanted something to happen but I didn't want cheating. A Vegas wedding? Who knows, let's see what happens.
