Over the following months, Perle started to notice a handful of odd occurrences. First, his siblings seemed to have a string of bad luck. If they tried to remedy it, it would get worse! Then Helios and Helena fell very ill. Their symptoms included those similar to the flu. Yet it was unclear what the exact ailment was.
Simatiously some of his siblings vanished! Also, his remaining siblings became exceedingly greedy. Perle felt this too. However, he managed to push out those hateful and sinful emotions. After Helena somewhat recovered, she went to check on her beloved children.
To her horror, she discovered a few of her beloved children were missing! Her hummingbird punishment activated after her children attacked her! More misfortune and feelings of greed followed. The fairies were capable of flight yet frequently injured themselves from falls. The Golden Kingdom remained enchanting on the outside. Yet inside, it was chaotic! Perle could not wait for June!
The Neo Senshi and their families were preparing for the big birthday bash in Crystal Tokyo. Balloons, streamers, music/dancing, movies, and goodie bags are a must! The other royals would provide food.
"What?! This is OUR party! Why do we have to pay for anything?!" Christen was miffed about them having to pay for some stuff. After all, it was THEIR party. Why should they have to pay a dime for it?
"You're not children anymore. You've all matured greatly. Now, it's time to learn to work. Also, figuring out the difference between want and need." Neo-Queen Serenity explained.
"It would be easier if we got paid for being Senshi! That always requires loads of hard work." Holly joked, making Alexis giggle.
"I used to think like that myself. Except being a Senshi is more of a birthright than a job." Mina smiled softly.
"Yeah, because getting a job means rejection. Your either rejected or never get contacted back." Jewel sighed. She'd attempted to seek employment in the past. However, it hadn't worked in her favor, sadly.
"Or ends in disappointment..." Emily added as she never found a job she liked at all either.
Surprisingly, Christen has a job...at a convenience store. She didn't care for it much. Yet it paid her well enough to survive! As for the others? They still needed to uncover employment. Crystal Tokyo's market is slim pickings. What do you expect in a perfect paradise of magic where everyone is as close to immortal as you can get?!
"No one has to worry about getting a job immediately," Ami advised.
"You would know. You wanted to be a doctor when Sailor Mercury was still needed." Christen pointed out.
Ami blushed in embarrassment as Urawa tried to soothe her. "She's a doctor now! Much more important than someone who sells snacks for a living!" Crystal shouted in retaliation.
"At least I HAVE a job! I don't know who will hire you!" Christen screamed. Not thinking about the manners she promised to try and have.
"Enough! Christen, how dare you! apologize to Crystal immediately!" Neo-Queen Serenity demanded.
"We all know she has a learning disability. However, I'm sorry." Christen sarcastically apologized. With tears in her crystal blue eyes, Crystal flicked her wrist, which resulted in a tiny stream of water slapping Christen across the face!
"You deserve that," Rei commented, disgusted with her daughter's disrespect.
"It's OK. I forgive her now." Crystal smugly smirked. She knew Christen's fire would be no match for her water. Moroever, Christen knew it too.
"Neo-Senshi!" Chibiusa said sharply. "Our birthdays are a week away. We should be celebrating, not fighting."
Although the girls agreed, Christen made it abundantly clear she wanted nothing to do with Crystal for the rest of the week! So if Christen thought the whole "silent treatment" would work, she was very wrong.
It was a blessing! No back talk, no snide comments, no remarks, no anything! Since she hadn't spoken rudely due to giving everyone the silent treatment, she was allowed at the party. Her parents had almost denied her the right to be at the party. However, they let it in the end.
Ecstatic, Ariel and Emily got to see their older sisters, Jade and Erika. Along with the rest of their siblings, Silver, Demise, and Violet. Jewel always wished she had a few siblings in the Dark Kingdom, but Chibiusa was more than enough.
Jade was proud of Ariel's progress as one of the best physical fighters on Chibiusa's team. Emily's siblings couldn't wait to hear about Neo-Sailor Saturn's adventures! Next, the Royal Family of Koan arrived. They'd brought a projectile-like device for Willow to communicate. She'd to stay with the other Knights to defend Koen.
Finally, Helios's family arrived. However, something seemed different about Helena. "She's pregnant..." Emily whispered to her friends. This day was going to be perfect!
