She had never seen anything like that before. A human who could transform into a furry creature with horns, claws and a tail with a triangular tip. "What are you?" she asked Alicia. But since Alicia was even more scared and misunderstood the question, she crouched down. "Please don't kill me I didn't mean to cause trouble". "Kill you?" the woman asked, confused. "Why would I kill a potential customer?" I'm sorry, what? Alicia looked at the woman
To answer the question of what this and the last chapter was based on yes it is based on Jack and the Beanstalk and Mickey and the Beanstalk respectively. But the idea came from Gemwing2012 thanks again ;)
Until then
Alicia slowly opened her eyes as she looked around and the first thing she saw was the face of the sleeping giant devil that was not far away from her. Yes, he was fast asleep, there was no doubt about it. Just like the hand that forced Alicia to lie in his fur. Damn it, how do I get out of here without the big guy noticing I'm gone? It would not be the first time that she would escape from him. But unfortunately, this time she didn't have the ability to turn into a Wyvern. Unfortunately, she was a normal human again and not a demon. Oh man what I would give to be able to turn into a wolf again. But her thoughts were interrupted when she heard the devil slowly waking up. He yawned and stretched his arms when he saw his wife on his chest and smiled. Alicia turned around, not wanting to see the face he just showed her. "Morning my beautiful black rose" he said and tenderly caressed her cheek with his claw tip. "Morning" Alicia said annoyed as she showed him her back.
"Why so bad-tempered my love?" he asked her as he turned her around with his fingers so Alicia was looking at him. "Hmm let me think" Alicia said as she tapped her chin thoughtfully with her fingers. The devil was waiting for an answer from her. "You kidnapped me, dragged me here, took me as your wife without asking me and shared a bed with me without me wanting any of it!" she counted with her fingers. "Yeah I'm grouchy about that!" said Alicia, turning back around to show him her back. But the devil wasn't really impressed but rather found it funny. Or at least that explained the wiggling Alicia felt before he grabbed her with his hand and pulled her to him. "Let go of me!" she said. "No I won't my love!" he said and walked with her out of the bedroom down the stairs to the dining table. "I think we should rather discuss this over breakfast my love after all your stomach is growling" he said as he sat her down on the small chair she was sitting on yesterday.
You couldn't miss the chain she was still hanging from. Does he really think that I will change my mind so quickly? She still growled when she saw his look. But that changed when she saw Henchman coming into the room with a food cart with two food hoods on it. One for Alicia and the other for the devil. It was a typical breakfast that was served in the Middle Ages. So white bread with soup. Well, better than nothing. Alicia ate her food without looking the devil or Henchman in the eye. Both were looking at her while she was eating. "Um, could I please eat in peace?" asked Alicia as Henchman disappeared into the kitchen and the devil ate his food.
While Alicia was lost in thoughts of the others and tried to ignore the devil as best as she could, Blood and the others had it no easier than she did. The only farmhouse left in the valley was inhabited by Blood and the three cups, all dressed like Jack. Like typical farmers. Well, the three cups looked like that. Blood still wore his clothes that fit the time. Of course, the four of them were doing quite well so far. Of course they had headaches after the landing but now there was another problem. "Where is Alicia?" Cuppy asked himself as he looked around the house. But nowhere did he find her. Only when he heard the singing did he know where she was. But unfortunately she was gone again as fast as he could have reached her. And that was not enough. Also the valley in which they were became more and more gloomy.
"Stay here he said. We'll find a solution, he said" Cuphead said annoyed when Cuppy turned to him and saw his annoyed looking face. Mugman was the only one who remained neutral. Blood, meanwhile, seemed to find a way to Alicia. Thanks to his magic, he could find her easily, but getting to her didn't seem to be easy. She was high up in the clouds and getting there was difficult. If only there was a way, Blood thought as he heard the door open behind him and saw Cuphead walk up to the cow with a butcher knife. "Cuphead no not kill Esther!" said Mugman as he stopped his brother. "But I'm starving and I don't want to eat a transparent slice of bread with a bean anymore!" said Cuphead as he ran to Esther who didn't notice him. She continued to graze from the dry grass, unaware of the danger that was coming until Blood and the others stopped Cuphead and tackled him to the ground.
Killing the cow was useless, Cuppy knew that, but what else could they do with her? Suddenly the four heard someone whistling and turned around. A traveling salesman approached the four and had all kinds of things to sell and seemed to be interested in the cow. Of course, Cuphead hoped that they would at least get something good for the cow. But unfortunately this was not the case when the seller gave them a small box with six green glowing beans. "What kind of fair exchange is that?!" asked Cuphead angrily to the seller who had already moved on. "Wait, these are the magic beans from the story!" said Cuppy as he took them from Cuphead who was about to throw them away.
Yes, what Cuppy said was true. But there was unfortunately a problem. The beans only grow at night and it was daytime. Blood didn't have his wand with him to enchant the sky, so the four had to wait until dark before they could plant the beans. Cuphead of course asked why they needed them until he knew himself as everyone stared at him. Alicia was in the clutches of the giant and had to be freed. In any case, only then would the story come to an end. And Blood really wanted to get his wand back. So the four decided to plant the beans behind the house and wait for the evening so they could climb up the beanstalk. Until then, they tried to hold out.
In the castle, on the other hand, a lot had happened in that time. The giant devil tried to bring Alicia further in different ways to either sing for him or to vote that she becomes his wife and queen. Of course, the only answer he got was an annoyed look followed by a stuck out tongue and a "I'm already taken!". This didn't really please the devil who hoped that she would change her mind. "But princess I don't see a wedding ring on your hand" said the devil as he dangled her upside down again. She was about to flee again when the devil talked to Henchman. Wait what?! Panic-stricken, she looked at her hand where Lucifer's wedding ring normally was. But it was gone and she could no longer use her excuse. Damn it, then he could really marry me! She now felt even more uncomfortable than before. That didn't make it any better when she saw the devil's grinning face looking at her seductively again.
He was just waiting for an answer from her. Damn I hate this world so much! She didn't want to stay in here anymore. But how should she escape the giant who literally held her? She was no longer dangling upside down but was caught in his grip again while he slowly and tenderly went through her hair with his free hand. "I knew you were lying, princess," he said, lifting her chin so she could look him in the face. "And I don't like it" Oh wow what a drama queen. "So I want to give you another chance and ask you again if you want to be my wife". Alicia was now really in a quandary and did not know what to do. She still remained faithful to Lucifer no matter where she was, but on the other hand, the devil could do whatever he wanted with her without her husband being able to do anything about it. "I...uh..." Alicia fell silent, not knowing what to say. She didn't want to betray her husband.
"Well princess the clock is ticking" said the devil as he pointed to the clock in question. It was already late afternoon and just before dinner. "I still have to think about it" said Alicia as she lowered her head. "Maybe you need another night in bed with me to think about it" said the devil as he placed her on the table and looked at her seductively. His grin grew wider and wider until it resembled the Cheshire Cat. That's what he and Lucifer had in common. But to lie in bed with him she did not want. "I want to think about it alone," said Alicia, which did not please the giant devil. He wanted her to lie on his chest again like last night. Well, if my little songbird doesn't want to sleep with me, she will have to sleep in the cage. With his free hand he flicked a birdcage that had a curtain that could be opened from the inside as well as from the outside. A small bed was in the cage as well as everything that belonged to the bedroom.
Before she could say anything she was put into the cage and was now literally his prisoner. "What is this? Let me out!" she said as she held onto the bars and looked angrily at the devil. But the devil grinned even more than before. "You are welcome to come out if you choose to sleep in bed with me like last night" he said. But Alicia moved away from the bars when she heard this answer. She saw the rope with which she could close the curtain from the inside and hoped to have peace from him. "Good night princess" said the devil and put the cage down on the table to go upstairs to his bedroom. Alicia, in turn, was glad to finally be alone again. Even if she was now sitting in the cage. Better than lying on his chest. She went to the bed and was about to lie down when the curtain opened and Henchman's face was visible. Alicia rolled her eyes in annoyance when she saw him. "What is it?" she asked him.
That he was nervous was obvious. "I hate to bother you, Your Highness, but I need to talk to you," Alicia looked at him in confusion and got up from the bed and walked over to the bars where she was leaning with her arms. "About what?" she asked him. Henchman looked around before continuing "The Boss may be rough but he also has a soft heart when you know him better". "So you're telling me that if I agree to sleep with him, he'll let me go with Blood's wand?" asked Alicia. But Henchman shook his head. "The boss doesn't let anyone go that easily no matter how hard you try," he explained to her. Alicia was not pleased and went back to bed while Henchman looked after her and closed the curtain. He was about to go to his room when he heard a soft "thank you" coming from the cage. He didn't know why, but he had to smile when he heard it. "You're welcome" he said softly back as he left Alicia alone.
While Alicia was trying to sleep in peace, Cuppy was very deep in thought while the others slept. Alicia I hope you are well and I hope you can hold out for a while. He was very worried about her because he was still thinking about Lucifer.
~ A few months before Alicia and Cuppy landed in the world of The Cuphead Show ~
Alicia met up with the two brothers again and wanted to visit with them a few of the former debtors like Hilda, Ribby and Croaks, Bon Bon and Dr. Kahl. Of course, Alicia had to go to the bathroom for a short while. "I'll be right back!" she said and disappeared while Cuphead and Mugman waited outside. "What do you think the day will be like?" Mugman asked his brother who was tapping his chin thoughtfully and was about to say something when suddenly Lucifer appeared in front of him and his brother from a cloud of black smoke.
"Aaaahhhh!" the two screamed when they saw him and panicked. Lucifer, however, did not react to this but only rolled his eyes in annoyance. "You can stop screaming I just want to know where my Love Alicia is and if she's okay" he said with his arms crossed. Both brothers were still shaking. Well Mugman but it looked like they were both shaking. Cuphead freed himself from the grip of his brother who was still shaking like a leaf. "She's fine, she's in the bathroom and she'll be out in a minute," he said. "W-w-why are y-y-you so w-w-worried about h-h-her?" asked Mugman in a nervous and shaky voice. The devil looked from Cuphead to him. "Because I always worry when she's not with me" he said as the younger brother swallowed nervously.
Cuphead and Mugman do that even if Alicia is not always with them. They know she is safe with Lucifer but they still care about her. After all, they were close friends. "That's why I'm here to tell you that I'm going to give you the task of protecting her from any danger and making sure that no one messes with my dearest Alicia" he closed his eyes and immediately opened them again when instead of pupils two cups appeared showing both Cuphead and Mugman before a hatchet cut them into four pieces "Understand?". Both cups swallowed and nodded nervously. The front door opened and they both turned to see Alicia coming out of the house from the two of them with her shoulder bag, ready for the day. But she could tell they were both nervous. "Don't tell me you're nervous about the debtors?" Alicia asked the two. "No, not at all!" said Cuphead, sweating nervously. "Y-y-yes, we're just really looking forward to it," added Mugman, who was sweating even more than his brother.
Alicia did not know about the visit of her husband, who ordered the two brothers to be Alicia's personal bodyguards. Well, until she was back with Lucifer, of course. But both knew what was at stake if they did not watch over her. They would lose their heads that was for sure. Since then, Cuppy always felt very bad when he didn't know where Alicia was or if she was okay. The others knew nothing about it. Even Alicia did not know that. Both brothers kept it to themselves.
Maybe I really should sleep on it. Cuppy turned over in the bed he shared with Blood and tried to sleep. Well, he would if the floor didn't suddenly start shaking and shake him awake. "What's going on now?" asked Cuphead as he woke up. Everything in the house was shaking and moving back and forth. Even the beds the four of them were lying in was moving back and forth. Suddenly the house went dark, which confused the four of them until Mugman looked out the window and saw a huge beanstalk growing in the air, obscuring the moon that was shining on the house. "Guys I think our beanstalk is growing" said Mugman or rather he shouted since the house was still shaking. Everyone looked towards the window where they saw the said beanstalk growing further and further into the sky until it was no longer visible through the clouds. "Wow, that's what I call a beanstalk," said Cuphead. It stopped growing and the ground stopped shaking. But the four couldn't sleep anymore and went out to have a closer look at the beanstalk. Leaves unfolded and formed a kind of spiral staircase that would take the group to the top of the beanstalk and thus to the giant's castle where Alicia was trapped.
That the way was not easy, however, knew the four therefore made themselves on the half of the beanstalk a break to rest. "We can keep climbing the rest of the way up tomorrow" Blood said as he lay down on a root while the others slept on a leaf. Alicia, meanwhile, was also fast asleep and had no idea that from the bedroom came the devil, approaching the cage with silent steps, whose curtain was still closed. This he opened together with the door to the cage. A claw came through the open door and was over the bed Alicia was lying in. It slowly lowered and pulled the covers off Alicia, who didn't feel a thing. She also didn't feel the claw slowly lifting her so that she was lying in it. She was fast asleep. This pleased the devil very much who took her back into his bedchamber.
As he walked up the stairs he couldn't help but look at her. She looked beautiful there was no question about it. But how he should force her that she will belong to him, he did not know yet. She was definitely something special. In the bedroom he went to his bed and put her back on his chest while he covered himself and her. Yes he was satisfied and could fall asleep again without any problems. "You will become my wife whether you like it or not my dearest" he said softly as he slowly fell asleep. Alicia, on the other hand, started having nightmares again that wouldn't leave her alone. She didn't know if it was real or not but she only wanted to hope for one thing. That she really wasn't hanging by a thread and threatened to end up in the wrong hand of the devil. "No Lucifer save me!" she screamed as the thread came loose and she threatened to end up in the devil's giant hand. Lucifer roared as he saw her being torn away from him. "NO ALICIA!" he roared as his hand tried to reach for her but couldn't catch her.
Unfortunately, it was already too late. She was in the clutches of the devil. "You belong to me now. All mine" he said as he held her in his hand. With the other he flicked and showed the three cups he had tortured and held like a puppet on ropes that just hung there motionless. Alicia tried to wake up but it didn't work. "Please this can't be real. This is not real!" she said several times, but the devil disagreed. "Oh, it's real, my love," Alicia looked at him. "You are mine now and to keep it that way anyone who dares take you from me will be wiped out!" he snapped his fingers again as it grew brighter around her and Alicia saw more familiar faces also being tortured by the devil. This cannot be true. She saw her godmothers and a few of the residents with whom she had good contact on the islands. All of them looked awful and seemed to have been hanging on the walls for a while. "Don't worry my love, you will be fine with me" said the devil as he slowly stroked her cheek while Alicia looked at the others. Tears ran down her eyes. She did not want this to be true.
She did not want that to be true. But it was only a nightmare, fortunately. Alicia clawed tightly at the fur of the devil who noticed that. He opened his eyes and saw her having trouble falling asleep. With his fingers he tenderly stroked her back to calm her down. It worked and Alicia slept normally again. That's it, my dearest. The devil was calmed down again and continued to sleep while he stroked her back. The next day dawned and Blood and others continued to climb the beanstalk. "How much further until we reach the top?" asked Cuphead, who was having trouble climbing because of the effort. Blood, who was the first to go, looked down at him. "We'll break through the clouds in a minute, don't worry," said the wolf as he passed through said cloud and was at the top of the beanstalk. The others followed him and saw the castle from far away. "Okay and that's where Alicia is supposed to be?" asked Cuphead confused. "Yep according to the story she should be in there" replied Cuppy.
The group walked towards the castle which was getting bigger and bigger as they got closer. It was clear that it was the castle of the giant. But how should they get into the castle without being seen by the giant? Well the question was answered when the door opened and Henchman went through it to take out the trash. He was about to set foot on the stairs when he saw the group. "Oh visitors!" he said and put the trash can down next to the door. "What brings you here?" asked Henchman as he bent down to get a better look at the four. After all, he was much taller than they were. "Um yeah we're looking for someone" Blood said as he saw Henchman hold out his hand and ask him and the others to step on it. They were now inside the castle looking around. But except for the table on which there was an open birdcage next to food, there was nothing there.
"I'll leave you here" said Henchman as he set the group down on the table. "You are welcome to help yourselves if you like" said Henchman as he offered the four of them something to eat. "HENCHMAN!" suddenly roared from upstairs in the bedroom. Henchman flinched when he heard it and immediately went upstairs while Blood and the others looked around. Upstairs in the bedroom Henchman saw how the devil tried to force Alicia to sing for him which didn't work again. "I'm getting angry princess. Why don't you sing?" he asked her. "Because I don't feel like it and you're squeezing my lungs!" she said while trying to free her arms. Henchman didn't know that Alicia was with him and was therefore very surprised. Alicia was too when she woke up and was on her chest again when they should have been in the cage.
"Boss maybe you shouldn't rush the princess" said Henchman as he twitched again. The devil's eyes looked at him menacingly before he turned to Alicia who was breathing heavily. That he didn't want to hurt her was clear. So he loosened his grip on her, allowing Alicia to breathe normally again without going into gasping respiration. "Okay Henchman, you're right and I think we could use some food, don't you princess?" said the devil and went downstairs with her and Henchman. Downstairs on the table, the others had already made themselves comfortable and eaten something. But they found nothing of Alicia and the missing wand. "Damn, someone's coming!" said Blood as he ordered the others to hide. Blood and Cuppy hid behind a loaf of bread while Cuphead and Mugman hid between a ready-made sandwich. Just in time as the devil appeared with Alicia in hand and locked her back in the cage. Of course she also got something to eat. But she did not want to eat anything when she saw how from the sandwich that the devil was lifting legs to see the slowly went into the sandwich purely the devil still seasoned with pepper.
Some of the pepper landed in the nose of Mugman who then tried not to sneeze as the devil prepared to bite into the sandwich. But before he did, he heard a soft "Achoo!" that he heard inside the sandwich. Please don't look inside the sandwich. Alicia was sweating as the sneeze was even stronger than before and half the sandwich was destroyed with it. Some lettuce, tomato and pieces of sausage landed on the face of the devil who was not pleased. He rubbed the things away from his face when he saw two figures coming out of the sandwich. "Hehe Hi" said Mugman nervously as he and Cuphead saw the devil. The latter was not pleased and grabbed both cups. Alicia was more than scared and hoped that they were both okay. They were fine because the devil looked into his closed fist and saw Cuphead lighting up the small room they were in with a match. The devil didn't like that so he dropped them out of his hand and they landed next to the loaf of bread that the devil pushed away. He now saw Blood and Cuppy.
That he was not pleased by the visit you could see him. "What are you doing in my castle, you intruders?" the devil asked them. That the two brothers were afraid was obvious, but Blood showed no sign of fear. "We just came here by chance," said Blood, which confused not only the devil but also Alicia. Cuppy was confused at first, but he quickly understood what Blood was trying to do. "Yes, we have heard that you are able to turn into anything" he said. The devil smirked. "Sure, sure! You wanna see me? I can change myself into the darndest things!" said the devil and turned into a hydra that spews various things. From fire to lightning before he turned back again. "Go on, gimme somethin'. Anything!" he said. Cuphead scratched his chin thoughtfully, "Anything?", "Anything!" said the devil. The group thought about what the devil should turn into until Blood saw the flyswatter. "Well, uh. Can you change into a fly?" he asked him.
"A cute. Teeny-weeny, itsy-bitsy housefly?" the devil asked while Blood and the others nodded. "That's it! A housefly!" said Cuppy but the devil was unsure and didn't want to turn into a housefly. Instead, he suggested something else. "Aww, you don't want a fly! How about a cat with a long, fluffy black tail?" but this did not please the others. But Cuphead didn't give up, "Huh! Well, of course, if you can't do a fly, why, uh..." he stopped talking when the devil grabbed him by the collar. "All right a fly" said the devil in a relaxed voice. "WHY?" said the devil in a threatening voice, which frightened Cuphead a bit. He moved back a bit when the devil's face was very close to him. "Well, uh... because" he couldn't think of an excuse, but the devil gave in and put him back on the table with the others.
This one took some distance and prepared to turn into a housefly. The others used this time to grab the fly swatter and hit the devil with it. But the devil did not turn into a house fly as the others hoped, but into a house cat with a fluffy tail. "You sure you don't want a cat with a black fluffy tail?" asked the devil when he saw the four of them holding the fly swatter. "Hey, what is this?" he asked as the group slapped him in the face. This did not please the devil who was chasing the group that was splitting up. First he ran after Blood and Cuppy until he didn't see either of them anymore and instead chased Cuphead and Mugman that he could catch. Or rather surrounded them. "You think you can fool me?" said the devil as he grabbed the two brothers and locked them in a small box. "Hey let us out!" said Cuphead when he realized what else was in the box. It was Blood's wand. Blood and Cuppy also hid and waited for the devil to disappear. The devil was still looking for them before he turned his attention to Alicia. "Don't worry my love, I'll get rid of these intruders quickly" he said and continued to search for the two. Alicia got scared and did something she didn't want to do.
"Wait I..." the devil turned to her. Just in time, the devil almost threatened to find Blood and Cuppy. "Yes my dearest?" the devil asked her when he was very close to her. "I've decided to sing to you," which pleased the devil very much, who sat down on his chair with his arms leaning on the seat. "Then I am curious my love". Alicia took a breath before she began to sing.

Her singing voice pleased the devil very much. His tail wagged and he was very focused on her, not noticing that Blood and Cuppy were approaching the cage where Alicia was still sitting.

The devil liked the melody very much. He was glad that the princess belonged to him and that she sang only for him. Alicia meanwhile tried to ignore his funny grin.

It feels so wrong to sing that. Alicia felt a little nauseated, but she had to keep singing. Come what may. Blood and Cuppy arrived at the cage and saw the devil's eyes getting heavier and heavier. He was about to fall asleep.
In his right hand you'll find the key
The right hand, go carefully
Alicia sang to give the others the clue where the key was for her cage. The devil now lay with his head on the table and slept soundly. Blood immediately went to the right hand with Cuppy and managed with difficulty to take the key out of his hand without the devil waking up. "Oh, thank God you're here," Alicia said softly as Blood and Cuppy opened the lock so Alicia could get out. She immediately hugged Blood, which startled the wolf a bit. "You don't want to know what he wanted from me" she said delightedly. "Don't worry we'll get you out of here but first I need my..." Suddenly the three heard something click and the box opened where Cuphead and Mugman were trapped and where Blood's wand was. "Wand," Blood finished his sentence as Cuphead handed it to him. The wolf was more than happy to have his wand back.
The group jumped down from the table and was ready to go. But the way to the door was still far thanks to their puny size. Alicia, on the other hand, had the most problems because she was wearing a dress and kept threatening to fly over and make noise that would wake up the devil. And nobody wanted that. The group arrived at the end of the table and saw the exit door from a distance. "Finally then I'm away from the devil!" said Alicia relieved. She and Blood went ahead while Cuppy, Cuphead and Mugman followed them. But as nice as it was for Alicia to soon be free again without having to be in a cage, it unfortunately happened that the devil was awakened by a mishap. Cuphead stepped on a shard that immediately broke and made a clinking sound. This woke up the devil who noticed that the cage was open and that his beloved Alicia was kidnapped by the intruders he saw under the table. "Damn it, run!" said Blood as he and the others started to run. The devil did not like that at all.
"Come back here with my little songbird!" The Devil roared as he pursued the five escapees. "I kidnapped her fair and square! She belongs to me!" Okay since when am I an object? Alicia was not very pleased to hear that. "Faster!" Mugman screamed as he and the others put in more speed as best as they could as the Devil thundered after them, not far behind. Everyone was faster except Alicia who was still having problems with her dress and was having a hard time keeping up. Blood noticed. "Easier said than done!" Alicia cried as she picked up a handful of her skirt as best as she could. "This is why I don't wear dresses!".
Blood was quick to solve the solution as he scoops Alicia in his arms and carried her bridal style as he kept running. "Hold tight!" the Wolf Wizard told her. Alicia did not say no to this and held on tight. The Devil snarled furiously as he kept chasing the fools making off with his treasure. "He's gaining on us!" Cuppy cried. "Hang in there!" Blood shouted encouragingly as he spotted the opening in the door. They were able to escape from it and get rid of the devil for a while. "We're almost there!" Cuphead and Mugman screamed as the Devil lunges forward, making a diving grab for them and their friends. However, the group managed to reach the opening big enough for them to dash through with ease, thus making him miss his prey. Not only that, but since the hole in the door was very small, he slammed face first into the hard, heavy wood.
The moment Alicia, Blood and the cups made it outside, they made a fleeting dash for the beanstalk. How Alicia wish that her powers were working, she would be able to carry her friends to the beanstalk and to safety in her wyvern form. She felt so helpless. And just when it seems they were out of the frying pan, they were still in the fire as the Devil broke down the door as he took on the form of an angry bull, bellowing in rage and snorting streams of fire out of his nostrils. Bellowing some more, the demonic bull galloped after the group, snorting and puffing through his nose. "Doesn't anything stop this guy?!" Cuphead wailed as the cloudy ground shook beneath the group's feet due to the heavy pounding of hooves.
The gang finally reached the beanstalk. The moment Blood sets her down, Alicia wanted to breathe a sigh of relief, but she knew that had to wait because the Devil is still after her as well as her friends. "Hurry!" Cuppy cried as he takes Alicia's hand. "Wait!" Alicia exclaimed. She didn't want to move on yet without doing one little thing. Reaching down, she makes a tear in each side of the skirt, making a small slit to give her extra mobility during her descent down the beanstalk. Stupid dress "Okay, let's go!" Alicia yelled. Cuphead and Mugman also arrived and were ready to climb down but Blood stopped. This confused the others very much.
"Blood, c'mon!" Mugman urged."You all go ahead!" Blood responded as he takes his staff from its sheath and boldly turns towards the Devil, who is still Charing towards him and the others. "I'll take care of the Devil."Alicia didn't want to leave Blood behind, but she trusts him on what he's doing and began to climb down the beanstalk. As the Devil charges towards him, Blood brandish his staff and uttered a spell. He shot a beam of magic at a nearby beanstalk vine. The vine suddenly stretches, straightening into a perfect line on the ground. The moment the Devil ran over the vine, he trips over it, accidentally entangling his left back hoof with it and stumbles forward. Blood winces as the Devil smacked face first into the beanstalk, comically dangling by one leg that is still tangled with the vine.
Groaning, the distinctly dazed Devil morphed back into his normal form as his arms dangled beneath his head. Nodding with satisfaction, Blood leaps down and begins his own descent down the beanstalk to follow his friends to freedom. The Devil quickly recovers as he shook his head and spotted the thieves climbing down the beanstalk with his princess. Fuelled by pure rage, the Devil growled as he angrily rips the vine off with ease, freeing his foot before he began to climb down the beanstalk himself after the group."You'll never escape me!" roared the Devil as he continues climbing down with zero problems because of his sharp claws.
The group continued down the beanstalk, hoping to reach the ground very soon and then get rid of the devil. But Alicia forgot one important thing that was very important in the story. They had to bring down the beanstalk. "Say guys do you have a saw with you or something else we can use to bring down the beanstalk?" Blood knew what to do. "Don't worry, I know a better way to bring this beanstalk down," Alicia was pleased to hear. "Come back you dirty thieves with my little songbird!" but what she was less than pleased about was the unannounced visit of the devil who also slid down the beanstalk. "Can't he leave me alone?" asked Alicia when she saw the angry devil about to grab her had Blood not grabbed her earlier with the others and jumped down. This made the devil even angrier than usual. "Come back!" he roared.
That they escaped again was nice, but unfortunately they threatened to land on the hard ground if Blood hadn't used a spell that slowed them down just before they hit the ground, so that they didn't fly to their deaths. The spell stopped working and the group landed on the ground but the danger was not over yet as the devil came closer and closer to them. "Blood!" Alicia screamed as the wolf cast a spell on the beanstalk that was moving back and forth, causing it to topple over. The devil noticed this and stopped when he realized that the beanstalk was toppling over. "Oh uh" he said and landed on the ground and was knocked out. Above him circled the heads of the four thieves who stole his treasure as he said painfully. "I hate those cups".
He rubbed his head as he slowly sat down. "And that wolf wizard too" yes he was still angry that they got away from him but he didn't give up when he saw the house from far away. Yes he wanted Alicia for himself and that's why he got up to go to the house while the group was unaware of it. "So how do we get back now?" asked Cuphead, confused. They had gone through the story as it was mentioned in the story. But yet they were still trapped here. Alicia was thinking when suddenly the ground started shaking again and the group saw the devil running towards them from far away. "Damn it, everybody in the house now!" screamed Blood. Alicia didn't say no to that and went into the house first, followed by the three cups and Blood.
But the devil did not mind. He literally lifted the house that came off the ground and showed the five. The devil grinned when he saw his favorite Alicia, whom he immediately took in his hand. "Finally you are mine again" he said, which did not please Alicia. Just like the fact that the devil was ready to crush Blood and the others with his foot. But it didn't happen because Alicia and the others suddenly disappeared into thin air and were gone. This only made the devil angrier than he already was, causing not only him but everything around him to be on fire and almost resemble the underworld.
The book flipped open and out of them the five reappeared in their normal clothes. "Man, that was an adventure!" Cuphead said happily until he saw the annoyed and partly angry looks from the others. He knew why they were looking at him that way. He was responsible for the whole thing because he had used his wand without asking Blood. He knew he couldn't get away with it so easily, so he apologized for his behavior and took over the others' duties for the next month as compensation. So that Elder Kettle got nothing of it Blood conjured everything away from the garden. The carriage became a pumpkin again, the tree disappeared as well as Puss in Boots and the rest of the fairy tale characters.
However, the only thing he couldn't conjure away were the Bremen Town Musicians who went on tour with the goat. Anyway, in the next few days you always saw posters of the five advertising their next concert. Elder Kettle was confused and asked the others if they knew anything about it. But they shook their heads and kept the matter to themselves.
