So here is an update for you! I know you have been waiting patiently. I am working on all my updates, so enjoy this one!
Sam wrung out his hands, hesitating, before walking to the front door. He felt like he was a teen picking up a girl for his first date. Even though the situation wasn't the same, it was still scary. As cool as Sebastion might be, as cool as the kids might be, he was nervous. If they weren't okay with this, then he and Mercedes might not want to be with him.
Knocking on the door, Sam exhaled heavily as the door opened, and Josh answered.
"Mr. Evans." He said, folding his arms across his chest.
"Uh, hey, Josh. How are you?" He had met the young man only twice before when he came to pick up Zola; both times, the boy seemed warm, like Mercedes, but now he could tell he was like his father as well.
"Fine. Why are you here?"
"Oh Ummm, I … Oh…see…" Sam stumbled.
"Who is at the door, Josh?" Came a man who Sam knew wasn't Sebastian.
"Mr. Evans, mom's date," Josh said, smiling.
"And let me guess; you were giving him a hard time?"
Josh shrugged as the man moved closer. "Ignore him; he's just messing with you. The boy thinks himself a comedian. Come on in; Seb is helping Merce with something, and they will be right down."
Sam nodded. "I am Sam, by the way."
"Blaine. I am Sebastian's boyfriend."
"Can I get you something to drink, Mr. Evans?" Josh asked.
"Uh, no…thanks... you can call me Sam."
"Okay, look, you hurt my mom, and I am going to have to hurt you? Or at least join in when they do. Other than that, we're cool." The boy said, walking away.
"Don't mind him…but he's right. Mercedes is a good woman, someone who has always been there for everyone, and you are the first guy she has ever brought back to meet anyone, the first guy she has ever wanted to be around. And if you hurt her…well, no one will find the body."
Sam nodded. "Noted."
"Sam, hey! Mercedes will be right down." Sebastian said. "Did you and Brad get the flight plan settled?"
Sam nodded. "Still feels weird to know I am flying on a private plane, but I do understand; your privacy is important, as is Mercedes."
"So, where did you end up deciding to go?" Blaine asked.
"We first I wanted to go to like Napa Valley, because while yes I work at a private school, I don't have Private School Funds. But then, after talking to Mercedes and realizing a lot of people probably head there, I decided I am going to take her to Niagra Falls. You think that's okay?" He asked, unsure of himself.
"She's never been there, so I think you guys can have fun."
Sam looked at him and Blaine and smiled. "How long have you two been together?"
"Almost three years," Blaine said, smiling.
"How do you guys do this? Do the whole relationship thing when…."
"When I am married to Mercedes?" Sebastian finished.
"Pretty much."
"Well, to be honest, it wasn't easy at first, and sometimes we still have a hard time. I want more, but something always held him back; I am hoping now that he sees Mercedes is okay…."
Sebastian offered a tight smile. "We will see how this weekend goes; I may not be in love with her, but I love her, and I love my family, and anyone who hurts her or them isn't about my family."
Sam nodded. "That I understand, and I have no intention of hurting her; she has more power over me in that aspect. I really like her."
"Mr. Sam! Mr. Sam!" Zola said, running towards him. He was happy she listened when he told her she didn't have to call him Mr. Evans when he was out of work.
"Hi, Zo!"
"Guess what?!"
"What?" He asked enthusiastically.
"I am going over to my Aunt Tana's, and we are having a movie night and get to watch The Princess and the frog."
"Really?! Is Tiana your favorite?"
"It's a tie between Tiana, Mulan, and Jasmine."
Sam smiled. "Those are some great choices; all three are fierce and strong."
"Really? You know princesses?"
Sam bent down. "Do I know about Princesses? Let's see. Tiana was from New Orleans, and she had a dream, not to find a Prince-like most but to open her own place, and she did everything in her power to do that, including saving Naveen. Now that is fierce and Mulan! Well, she went against her family's wishes to protect her father and join an all-men army that is bad a-female power in a good way!" sam said, catching himself. "And Jasmine, well, when it came down to it, she fought for her father, to make her own choice and not one that was chosen for her. I think you have excellent taste in Princesses, but considering your mother is CEO of a huge corporation that is primarily men-dominated, I am not surprised."
"I wanna be like mommy when I grow up; no one messes with her," Zola said proudly.
Sam nodded. "You have a great chance of that!"
Zola beamed. "Uncle Blaine says that too."
Sam looked at Blaine and Sebastian as they nodded in approval.
"Hey, Sam," Mercedes said, smiling at him.
"Mercedes…wow, you look." He moved closer to her and kissed her softly. "You look beautiful."
Mercedes blushed. "It's just a dress, Sam."
"I was talking about you, not the dress, though it's nice too."
Blaine leaned into Sebastian. "Yeah, that one is smooth…and look at Mercedes, she practically glowing.
"I know, it's been so long since I have…no, I don't think I have ever seen her like this. I think Sam could be the real thing."
Blaine nodded. "And are we?"
Sebastian kissed him. "Of course we are; you wouldn't be here if we weren't."
"Okay, Sam said he will text you the number where we are staying since he won't tell me. And I have my phone; call or text me if you need me." Mercedes said, hugging the kids.
"Cedes, everything will be fine! I promise the kids are heading over to Santana's for the night, and then Blaine and I are taking them to laser tag with their friends tomorrow."
"Oh, speaking of taking people places, Sam, I happen to have an extra ticket to the Lion King Play; I am taking the family next week and wanted to know if you wanted to come."
"Yes! Mr. Sam, you have to come!" Zola added.
Sam looked at Mercedes, who smiled a nod, then back at Blaine. "If you guys have me, I would love to join. Lion King is one of my favorite Disney movies."
"Mines too." Josh, Blaine, and Sebastian said at the same time.
"On that note, we are off. But remember to call if you need me." Mercedes said, offering everyone another hug before she and Sam were off to the airport.
Even though she didn't know where they were going, she expressed to Sam she needed to fly using her private plane. It was secure and safe, and everyone on the flight worked for her; she trusted them.
Once Sam and the pilot connected, she was hands-off. As they were seated, the flight attendant walked over to them. "Mrs. Smythe, can I get you and your handsome friend anything to drink?"
Mercedes rolled her eyes, laughing. "Actually, not yet. Once we reach cruising Altitude, I am going to give him a tour of the plane."
"Is this your first time flying privately?" She asked Sam, flipping her hair.
"Uh yeah."
"Don't worry, Mrs. Smythe is an excellent travel companion, all of her guests think so. The men are grateful to be in her presence.
Mercedes raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
"I just mean you are great company."
Mercedes's phone rang, and she sighed. "Give me a moment; it's work."
Sam sat down in one of the seats; the plane itself was cozy, if that was a word to describe an airplane. Comfortable seating up front closed off the cockpit, and as he looked back towards where Mercedes was, he figured there may have been a bed back there.
"I hope you don't grow attached." Came a voice from behind him.
"I'm sorry?" He said, looking at her.
"It's just Mrs. Smythe entertains a lot, and those poor guys all want her, and she uses them. I don't mean to speak ill of my employer; it saddens me. And for someone like you…I could give you my number if you need someone to talk to."
"You know what? I am good."
She bit her bottom lip, moving closer to Sam. "I bet you are."
Sam shook his head. "You really need to move, and I am feeling uncomfortable."
She sat on Sam's lap. "I can help with that, and I know how long her calls are…."
"Oh, do you?" Mercedes said, staring at her. "What is this?"
"Oh, Mrs. Smythe, he just came on to me, and I am so sorry I couldn't resist."
"Rachel, how stupid do you think I am? See, I only hired you because Jesse spoke so highly of you, but this isn't the first time you have made a guest feel uncomfortable."
"He didn't seem uncomfortable to me."
Sam stood. "Yes, I did, and I asked you to stop touching me, and then you proceeded to sit on my lap. That is the definition of being uncomfortable."
Rachel frowned. "You wanted me." She sneered at Sam. "And you! You are the one parading men around, but I make them uncomfortable?"
"I am what? Let me make something very clear, and I didn't fire you when you came on to Mr. Howell only because I was able to salvage that deal. But Sam is a different story, what I saw was unprofessional, and we are going to have to let you go."
"What?"
"Jane?!" Mercedes called out.
"This is not right. I will sue you!" Rachel screeched.
"You can try, but if you recall, you signed a document stating that if you breathe a word about anything that has to do with me, my family, or my guest, you will be sued and agree to pay $300,000. So you can try to sue me, but you would be in breach of contract, and I would have to have you pay up."
"This is! No, this is not right!" Rachel screamed.
"Hello, Mrs. Smythe; what seems to be the problem?" Jane asked.
"Jane, I received your assessment of Ms. Berry; you said you felt this was not the position for her."
"You said that?" Rachel frowned.
"You act like I didn't say it to your face. Mrs. Smythe, we are a team here, and it seems Rachel wants to fly to find a man who will take care of her." Jane said calmly.
"Good. Please have her removed from this flight before we take off." Mercedes said. "Rachel, you will get two weeks' severance, and that is me being generous. Again before you think of speaking about your experience here."
"YOu can't do this. I am sorry, I need another chance."
Mercedes waved her off. "Can you handle the flight on your own?"
Jane nodded. "Mrs. Smythe, you are pretty great to work for and easy. I can handle it. But if you are okay with it, Mason's sister is a flight attendant; we can call her."
Mercedes nodded. "She flew with Mr. Tananka and me a few months back, correct?"
Jane nodded. "Yes."
"Oh, I liked her. Go ahead; we can wait to take off." Mercedes smiled, not paying attention to the fit Rachel was throwing as security grabbed her. "Make sure she is okay with you guys staying; Captain Mason has the card for all of your incidentals and rooms, and he and Rodrick should have everything down, at least."
Jane nodded. "We live pretty close, so she can be here in 15 minutes. I will let Mason and Rodrick know."
As Jane walked away from her, Sam smiled. "You put your staff up in hotels?"
"So because I take a lot of business trips, I need them to be ready to leave when I am. If I need to leave at four am, I need them ready to go at three thirty. So I find putting them up more than pays for that inconvenience."
Sam pulled her to him. "Seeing you like this, all Boss Lady and professional… it's sexy."
She laughed. "Is it? Does that mean you wanna join the mile-high club?"
Sam beamed. "Yes, Ma'am." He pulled her to him as he sat down, and she landed in his lap. "How big is the bathroom?"
"Oh, sweet Sam…we are joining the Mile high club in style. Wait til we take off. I got a surprise for you."
True to their word, the flight was in the air twenty minutes later. And once the seatbelt light went off, Mercedes pulled Sam with her to the back of the plane.
Sam's eyes widened as he looked around. "You have a whole bedroom here?"
Mercedes shut the door and stared at him. "We like to travel in style. I know we should talk; we have a few hours to talk about everything before we enjoy where ever you are taking me."
"The flight is a little over five hours long."
"Good." She said, removing her dress. "Then we can take this time to really get to know each other…but first…." She stepped towards him, pushing him onto the bed, "We gotta join the Mile high club."
Sam beamed. "A promise is a promise."
Mercedes giggled as he kissed her hungrily. He was taking his time to explore her body from head to toe and driving her wild. Mercedes clawed at the sheets as Sam kissed a trail up her thighs.
"Sam…" Mercedes whined, needing more.
"I gotta say I am finding you whining and begging me for more, just as sexy as I do seeing you be all Boss bea."
Mercedes moaned as his tongue teased her clit.
"Beg for it, baby, and I love to hear those little moans."
"Please! Oh, Sam!" She arched up, grabbing his hair as Sam thrust his tongue deep within her.
"Mmmm, you taste…you feel I need more."
He gripped her thighs, pulling her close as he pushed her toward the edge. Sam smiled as he watched her come down and kissed his way up her body. "You are wonderful."
Mercedes laughed. "Isn't that my line?"
"Maybe." He teased. "But you are. I know this may not be conventional, but I am glad I met you."
Mercedes beamed. "Me too."
"What made you want to approach me that night?" Sam asked.
Mercedes smiled, flipping them over. "Well, you were sexy, and there was something about you, standing up to that ass for me. I don't catch feelings, but with you, somehow I did."
Sam smiled. "She knew…my…Kitty…she knew that there was someone on my mind. I couldn't shake you. And I tried. Then when you walked into my office." Sam lifted his hand to her chin. "I thought the woman of my dreams was taken, and I was mortified. I wanted you, which is why I had you in my office."
"I had you in mine."
Sam laughed. "Yeah, I did."
Mercedes bent down to kiss him, running her hands down his body as she pulled his shirt over his head. "We still have a few hours. Let me go for a ride."
Mercedes awoke in Sam's arms and blinked a few times as he stared at her with a smirk.
"Hello, beautiful."
"Did I fall asleep?"
Sam laughed. "More like you passed out after five mind-blowing orgasms. We still have an hour and a half left on the flight."
"You give good orgasms; what can I say?"
Sam ran his hands over her shoulders. "So I called the hotel to make sure we could get early check-in and found out that Sebastian paid for the room. Can I assume that was your doing?"
Mercedes moved to face him. "No…Maybe…Sam, I didn't want this weekend to be all about you spending your money on me, and I wanted to treat you too. And I had the money, so I asked him to talk to Mason and find out where we were staying to pay for it. Are you mad?"
"I saved up to treat you, Merce. Just how much money do you have?"
She looked away from him, but he turned her face back to his. "Mercedes, I may not have a lot of money, but I get by. I don't need you to buy me things or pay for things."
"Sam, I am beyond wealthy; I have more money than my grandkids could spend. That's after all the things I give away. So if you want me to be okay with you paying for things, you have to let me do it too. You have to let me pay for things that can help us. Like this plane or hotels."
Sam sighed. "Okay, how about we compromise? You can cover travel expenses and hotels. But I pay for everything else."
Mercedes chewed her bottom lip. "Deal, but only if I get to surprise you with a trip or two, too."
Sam nodded. "I can live with that. Now let's see if we can get another round in before we land. I just can't get enough."
Mercedes pulled him on top of her. "Neither can I."
