AN: To another year.
(UA 1-A Dorms)
My class was having a celebratory little party after getting away from everything. Just juice, dip, and chips. Simple enough, with a little music to relax to.
Mina was enjoying her reign as Dance Queen among her so-called subjects of Kaminari, Mineta, Tooru, and Sero. Kirishima was laughing at them, saying he knew better than to challenge Ashido to a dance battle. And I had to agree with him.
Jirou and Tokoyami were having a heated debate over a few bands. I didn't know the bands but it was nice to see people get so passionate about hobbies as I did with my quirk analysis. Even if sometimes the duo seemed to get a little too heated at times but I knew I shouldn't worry too much. Those two wouldn't get into a brawl over this.
Aoyama had a platter of cheese for others to taste. Iida, Yaoyorozu, and Sato were giving compliments to the blonde on his wide variety of flavors. Flavors I have never heard of. I wasn't surprised those three knew all these different types of cheese, considering Sato's favorite hobby and the other two's background.
The rest of the class was sitting on the couches, talking and joking. I was still by myself, being a wallflower as Uraraka called me earlier. I wanted to stay back, due to all the energy. Social events were still a new thing to me.
I had seen Todoroki walking off earlier. When I tried to confront him, he smiled for once and told me to enjoy myself. He just had some things to think about concerning his hero career.
As I turned my attention back to the party when Bakugo bumped into me. "We need to talk about your quirk. Battle Ground Beta, Deku."
He walked off. I just stared at his back, confused by his words. My first instinct was to follow him but I stayed back. I know I wasn't supposed to be out for curfew and would probably get in trouble considering Bakugo is involved.
Plus what if my punishment didn't allow me to see Himiko? How would she react to that? Going was a bad idea, but Bkaugo wanted to talk about my quirk. What did he mean by that? Did he know about One for All? I had to find out. I owed All Might that.
As I exited the dorms, a hand grabbed my shoulder. I turned around to see Sato and Jiro with concerned looks on their face. "Dude, what's going on?"
"Bakugo wanted to talk," I tell them, "It's not something I can really ignore."
The two were skeptical at the last part. Jiro just shook her head. "Just don't let him push you around. You don't need to get yourself into trouble over his problems."
"Thank you guys," I said before heading back to follow Bakugo. I ran up to him to catch up, sticking behind him so he didn't know have a tantrum. It was a silent walk to Ground Beta. We arrived at the center of the training round before Balugo stopped walking.
"I've been thinking about your quirk this whole time," He suddenly spoke, "You got it from All Might didn't you? Your power."
What? How did he find out? Oh, right. "Since you're denying it, it must be true."
Darn it. My big mouth during our first fight is coming to bite me. "Does it even matter?"
A snarl formed on his face. "Does it matter? You and I both always wanted to be like All Might. Then out of nowhere, the person I thought as nothing but a pebble gets acknowledged by the one person I admired. And then that damn pebble gets a quirk that's almost like All Might's. Do you think I'm stupid, Deku?"
"I don't have to tell you anything," I told him, defying him.
The furious fire in his red eyes prepared me to defend myself against the explosion he launched. I had jumped out of the way, my arms shielding my face from the grave that flew towards me. Bakugo propelled himself at me and I threw out a strong kick.
The backlash of my full cowl augmented kick detonated the blast he was sending my way. I used the smoke as a distraction to create space. Bakugo burst through the smoke, but I was already ready. This was a simple tactic I had learned from Himiko.
I performed a somersault kick right as he got into range. My strike landed but Bakugo was able to detonate a blast that sent me spiraling backward as he went skyward. We both recovered at the same time. I found myself dodging many attacks of my lifelong acquaintance. Explosion after explosion destroyed the training ground.
Bakugo matched every attack I had sent. A hit for a hit. This was turning into a slugfest, one I wasn't interested in. This is wanted Bakugo wanted a contest of pure power until one of us was defeated. He needed to prove himself to me, but more importantly himself.
I was not one for it. I would no longer be his longer his punching bag, just like Sato and Jiro told me to do. On our next clash, I had retreated into one of the faux alleyways. I led him down a merry chase.
"Stop running and fight me, Deku!"
I didn't answer as I ran down an alleyway. "Deku!"
Windows shattered as Bakugo followed me. I took one glance behind to see the human missile flying toward me. I hopped off the wall right before he caught up. I could feel the heat of the explosion of his attack.
I jumped onto the roof of a nearby building. A quick scan showed me a doorway inside. "Stop running you fucking coward! What kind of a hero of you?"
"A smart one," I answered as he came barreling down. I smashed through the door as he slammed his fists down on the roof. Bakugo was right on my heel as I turned around. I powered up OFA. "Delaware Smash!"
The powerful finger flick created a shock wave that Bakugo threw an explosion at, the clash putting more distance between us. For now.
"Deku!" Bakugo caught up to me down the hallway. The scene was eerily familiar to our first mock battle. "I never took you for a coward, Deku!"
"I'm not a coward. I'm just not your punching bag anymore," was all I said before slamming my powered-up foot on the floor. It was shattered, knocking the blonde off balance. But I was already gone before he caught himself. I humored him for long enough.
I found myself in a darkened corner as I heard Bakugo rage, a floor above me. I slowed my breathing as he marched by as he kept yelling. When I heard an explosion beneath me, I slowly headed back upwards.
Minutes later, I found myself back on the rooftop. I could hear shouting below me, I could recognize Bakugo's and All Might's voices. I jumped off the walls to join them.
"You bitch!" I ignored him.
"Young Bakugo, language!" Yagi scolded him, getting Bakugo to grumble, "I'm glad you joined us, Young Midoriya."
"I apologize..." All Might held a hand up to stop me.
"No need. I knew this was something you two needed to work out."
"We didn't do shit! This bitch just ran away all day!" Bakugo began to shout again.
"I told you, I'm not your punching bag anymore. I already made the mistake of following you out here," I told him.
"Maybe it would be better if we spoke elsewhere. The walk will give you two sometime to cool down," All Might made a motion to follow him, "Plus Aizawa still wants to speak to you two."
Butter Fingers.
(The Next Day)
I scrubbed vigorously, trying to get this one stain off the countertop. With a good glare and juiced-up elbow grease, it was gone. I threw my cleaning rag into the bucket nearby. I was almost done with my chores.
This was part of my punishment. I was grounded alongside Bakugo. No extracurricular activities. No going out. A bunch of house cleaning. And no classes! And I had to spend most of my time around him.
Aizawa-sensei was always harsh, but at least he threw me a bone. I could still go to the outing with the class, something I'm sure that All Might's doing. My mentor went above and beyond for me. But I had to explain to my mother why I couldn't have dinner with her. Harsh was an understatement. My homeroom teacher was pure evil!
But I did have to do it. I didn't need Himiko freaking out due to my stupidity. Cause that's what following Bakugo was last night. Damn old feelings. I always had a weakness to Bakugo, no matter how much I tried to harden my heart to him. Himiko said that wasn't me and that's why it was so hard to detach from him. I had known him for so long and wanted his acceptance that I had a hard time letting go. Still, something I needed to do.
Himiko had taken the news well. She just said she would make our outing extra memorable. Which excited and terrified me. I prayed nothing bad happened out there.
I put everything in the supply closet and I as left, I passed by Bakugo. We refused to talk to one another unless it was necessary. All Might have confirmed what I said to him months ago, didn't mean we were friends again. Which might never happen.
"You forgot to take out the trash," he said as he walked past me.
That was next on my list anyways, so I didn't respond to him. I quickly grabbed all the trash at the end of the hallway on the first floor. I was surprised by how much trash there was until I remembered twenty people were living in one building. So really it was a small amount.
I went outside and towards the back of the dorms. And that's when I felt. The presence of someone watching me. A nifty ability I picked up from Toga. She would hide first when we were supposed to meet up until I found her or she got bored. It helped with my situational awareness and I knew I couldn't be so easily surprised by villains anymore. Like Shigaraki at the mall did.
I acted as if I noticed nothing, throwing away the trash. As I turned around, I saw it. Some guy's head in the wall. So I almost punched the wall, the head disappearing as my fist got closer.
"Hey!" the head appeared below me, I tried to step on his face. I lashed out when I felt the person behind me.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! I'm a student from U.A. too!" He was wearing the school gym uniform, but could I really trust him? The school had been infiltrated twice now. Plus, what student in their right mind would try to sneak up on the class that had to fight villains unexpectedly during a training exercise twice?
As I rushed in for another attack, I felt the loss of One for All. I stopped myself to see my sensei glaring at me. "Midoriya, what are you doing?"
"This guy," I pointed at the sheepish looking blonde, "Snuck up on me while I was taking out the trash. Considering everything my class has already been through, I thought he was a possible infiltrator and treated him as such."
Aizawa sensei frowned at my words for some reason. He then glared at the blonde. "Understandable Midoriya. Go back to the dorms. Togata, with me. We will speak to your homeroom teacher about this. Night Eye too!"
The so-called Togata paled as he ran after my speed-walking sensei. I shrugged, as I wasn't in trouble. I was in enough as it was right now.
(?)
I was in my room, looking at all the clothes I had stolen over the last few days. I needed the perfect outfit for the upcoming night. I need to blow my love's socks off! I even got an assortment of makeup and hair products to really doll myself up!
I was so excited! Big Sis was going to help me on the night since Boss Man gave us a little R and R for all the good work we had been doing. Said something about giving us a break before his big plan.
I didn't care if the others saw my stuff since everyone else was leaving and going on their own thing. No inspections for me! Spinner was in a better mood because he got to hang out with his fellow mutants from back in the day. Twice was perkier, he snuck out and saw one of the few relatives that wouldn't call the fuzz on him! Smokey got time to visit his fellow gentleman criminals and be a wine mom. Shiggy got the coveted Super Station X5. And Dabi probably killed someone again.
I know Magne got to see her best friend a lot. She told me she got some jewelry from her BFF that I could have! My heart just fluttered on how much Magne. She was the second most important person to me in the world. Behind my beloved Izu-kun of course.
I really needed to get her something nice for her. Maybe my love could help with that? He was such a nice guy, that I knew he would understand. Even if Big Sis was a criminal too.
Time for that later! I need to figure out how to color my nails! It was either red, black, or blue. I think those fit my outfits. No! Green! Izuku-kun would love that. A nice forest green.
I giggled to myself as I imagined stunning him dead when I saw him again. I would whisk him away from his friends and would make out. And things got hot and heavy, that's when I would take him elsewhere to get frisky. I just couldn't wait until then!
I need to plan more since I wouldn't be able to see him again for a couple of days. At first, I was mad that he faced punishment. But I was proud he stood up to that butt face.
This night needed to be extra special. Especially since I got him to agree to whatever I wanted. Within reason, of course. Izu-kun was so silly sometimes, I wouldn't do anything that would harm him much.
I checked my funds to make sure I had enough to blow. I wasn't doing anything fancy, but I might have to seal a few lips and cover a few eyes. My love's name couldn't be tainted.
As I began to head out, I bumped into Misty Dad. Strange, he usually just teleports in. I took a sniff and smiled. "Someone had a good time. What bottles did you pop this time?"
"A few whiskeys from the states during their civil war," he answered slightly slurred, "Positively smashing."
I giggled at his nonsense. He was drunk if he was doing bad accent impersonations. No wonder he didn't teleport in. Too many variables, he would say. "That wasn't all, was it?"
He then gave me a list of all the alcohol he drank today and long descriptions of their taste and strengths. Kurogiri really knew his stuff. I only recognized, a few of those things from my parent's snobby taste. "Glad you had a good time, Kuri. Boss Man doesn't appreciate you enough."
"Nd you don't have too much of a good time with that boyfriend of yours. Being immobilized for months would be very worrisome and set back a lot of plans," he told me as he walked by.
Pregnant? Babies? Kids? That was a thought I haven't had in a while. But it still made me giddy, reminding me of the first time my love and I met. My mind went into overdrive.
I saw three kids I wanted. The oldest was a boy with his father's green floofy hair but my eyes. He had the dots under his eyes like my love, with a set of cute fangs like me. Ichito Midoriya.
The second one would be a wild mix between my love and me. His hair texture would be like his father's while with my hair and a few green strips here and ther. He would have dad's eye shape, but yellow like mine. Ikkou Midoriya.
Our last child would be a girl. Izu-kun's beloved little princess. My long hair when it's let down but green. It would be similar to Mama Midoriya. Well, I would be Mama Midoriya at that point. My slitted eyes but green like Izu-kun's. One set of dots under her right eyes and one on her left side. She would be so precious! Our little princess, Izumi Midoriya.
"Toga! Toga!" I was snapped out of my fantasy as Twice was yelling at me, "I see you were stuck in La La land. Great place to be but can't stay there forever! Vacation only!"
I patted his shoulder. "Got you Twice. I'm about to head out!"
"Stay safe. Kill someone!" I shook my head. What a goofball.
Not my bet.
