Chapter Two

Show and Tell

"NO!" Ami screamed as she sat up with a gasp. "Oh my god, Mako I had the scariest dream. I had a nightmare that I was shot with a beam and taken to another world where I was all alone. Thank goodness it was just a..." Ami said as she looked over at Mako, stopping when she saw that Mako wasn't there. "No. It wasn't a dream. I'm...Mako." Ami quietly said as she started crying. "Not again. Why did this happen again, it's even worse though. I'm all alone Mako, I wanna go home." Ami quietly cried into her hands. "I miss you." Ami said with a sniffle as she laid back down and closed her eyes. While Ami tried to get some more sleep, Buttercup was having a dream of her own.

"Mmm." Buttercup mumbled in her sleep as she tossed and turned a bit. "MMM!" Buttercup mumbled louder as her tossing became more violent. "Get away!" Buttercup yelled as she punched Blossom in the face.

"OW! What the heck Buttercup?!" Blossom shouted as she held a hand over her nose. "Professor!" Blossom shouted at the top of her lungs.

"Girls!" The professor yelled as he jumped out of bed and sprinted to their room. "What's wrong Blossom, what happened?!" The professor yelled in a frantic tone as he flipped the light on.

"Buttercup punched me!" Blossom yelled as she held a hand over the spot Buttercup had punched.

"It was an accident, I'm sorry." Buttercup apologized as she stared at Blossom.

"How do you accidentally punch someone in the face?! You're such a pain Buttercup!" Blossom yelled as she rubbed her face a little.

"Let me see it Blossom." The professor instructed as he walked over by Blossom and looked at her face. "It's not that bad, you'll be okay sweetie." The professor assured as he patted her head. "As for you Buttercup, I've had it up to here with this attitude of yours young lady! You're grounded!" The professor shouted as he glared at Buttercup.

"It was an accident!" Buttercup yelled as she threw her arms in the air.

"I don't wanna hear it Buttercup, now go back to sleep. Tomorrow you're going to school and then you're coming straight home young lady, no crime fighting or derby practice. Is that understood?" The professor snapped as he glared at Buttercup.

"Why don't you ever believe what I say?! It! Was! An! ACCIDENT! I wouldn't just punch my sister in her sleep for no reason!" Buttercup screamed as she slammed her fists down on the bed.

"Keep your voice down our you'll wake Bubbles and Ami up. I'm tired of this attitude of yours Buttercup, you're grounded and that's final." The professor said in a firm tone as he tucked Blossom in. "Go to bed Buttercup, we'll talk about this tomorrow after school." The professor quietly said as he flicked the light off and left the room.

"Hmph." Blossom said with an angry expression as she rolled over and went back to sleep.

"Not if I'm gone we won't." Buttercup mumbled as she quietly got out of bed, then walked over to the door. "You people don't understand or care about me anyways." Buttercup quietly said as she looked back at Blossom and Bubbles, before sneaking out of the room. Buttercup crept downstairs quieter than a church mouse, making sure the Professor wouldn't catch her, but she forgot about one person. "Can't wait to get away from them, they don't understand or care about me at all." Buttercup said with a sniffle as she walked past the living room.

"Then make them." Ami quietly said as she sat up and stared at Buttercup. "Going somewhere?" Ami asked with a straight face as she stared at Buttercup.

"Mind your own business Ami." Buttercup snapped as she started walking towards the front door.

"Protecting people is my business, and that includes you." Ami quietly said as she continued to stare at Buttercup.

"Don't pretend like you care, nobody cares." Buttercup quietly said as she looked down at the floor.

"You're in pain, a lot of pain. Not just physical, but emotional as well." Ami quietly said with a small frown.

"What would you know, you barely even know me." Buttercup replied with a sniffle.

"Your sisters told me what happened Buttercup, you didn't deserve that." Ami quietly said as she started getting up.

"Yes I did, I was a greedy jerk. I deserved every punch." Buttercup said with a sniffle as she put a hand over her chest.

"No, you didn't. You're a child, and children make mistakes. But they were adults, they assaulted you in a brutal gang style beating, a group of adults ganged up on a kindergartener and beat the teeth out of her mouth. That is not justice Buttercup, that's a crime, and a horrible one at that." Ami said in a firm tone as she kneeled down by Buttercup.

"But I started it, I actively went to each of them and stole their teeth, most of them didn't even do anything wrong. I just wanted to have teeth for the tooth fairy so I could get dollar coins, I just wanted my punching bag. Instead I became a punching bag, and nobody cared. The only thing the professor said was that I'd learned what the value of a dollar was." Buttercup quietly cried as she looked up at Ami.

"I don't think that's what you learned, is it Buttercup?" Ami quietly asked as she gently ran her finger over Buttercup's hand.

"No." Buttercup whispered back.

"What did you learn then?" Ami asked with a frown.

"That nobody cares about me. My sisters just floated there and watched, they set the whole thing up. They lured me there to teach me a lesson, when all the villains ganged up on me I asked them for help. But all Blossom said was sorry Buttercup, an eye for and eye, and Bubbles add and a tooth for a tooth. The next thing I knew was that I had fists and feet coming at me from every direction, I don't even remember half of what happened they hit me so much and so hard." Buttercup cried as she sat down on the floor.

"Did your dad at least take you to the doctor?" Ami asked as she sat down next to her.

"No, just the dentist. He doesn't know how bad they beat me, all he noticed were my teeth. He doesn't even know that Bubbles and Blossom were the ones who set it all up. I never told him because he'd never believe me, how could my two perfect sisters ever do something so awful. If they said I did something like that he'd believe it in a heart beat, why wouldn't he though. I'm just the trouble maker, the one filled with spice, but nothing sweet or nice." Buttercup cried as she leaned her head on Ami's chest.

"That's not true Buttercup, you have plenty of sugar and nice in you. Now why don't we take a look at those injuries and see if they're healing well or if you should see the doctor." Ami quietly said with a smile as she picked Buttercup up.

"Kay." Buttercup sniffled as she clung to Ami.

"There you go sweetie, now I should probably get your dad because I'm gonna have you lift your shirt up so I can examine you." Ami said with a smile as she set Buttercup on the couch, then started walking towards the steps.

"No, I don't want him to be here. He'll probably just say I had it coming." Buttercup sniffled as she wiped a few tears away.

"He would never say that Buttercup, he's your father and he loves you very much. No matter how many mistakes you might make." Ami quietly said as she continued walking towards the steps.

"I don't want him here, I don't want any of them here. I only want you, the one person who cared or even noticed that something was wrong. No one else even noticed, after how many days, and not one person in this whole dumb city noticed. The only person who saw my pain was some girl from another universe, and it took you less than a day." Buttercup cried as she curled into a ball on the couch.

"Okay, but if it's really bad I'm gonna have to tell your father." Ami informed as she walked back over by Buttercup.

"Fine." Buttercup sniffled as Ami sat down next to her.

"Alright, let's see what we're dealing with here. Lift your shirt up and we'll have a look at your injures." Ami quietly said with a soft smile.

"Okay." Buttercup quietly replied as she slowly lifted her shirt up.

"Oh my god." Ami quietly said as she stared in horror at Buttercup's chest. It was covered in a huge dark bruise, like nothing she could've imagined to see on a child, it was heartbreaking to her. "This...god Buttercup, you must be in so much pain. This was clearly the result of some sort of blunt force trauma to your sternal region, this is the worst of the bruises by far. But it loops around the sides and goes all the way to your back, I can't believe anyone could do this to a child. God, they're everywhere. Bruises on top of bruises, I can't even imagine the internal damage, let alone how much pain you must be in. You poor girl." Ami quietly said as she gently hugged Buttercup. "I'm sorry Buttercup, but your father has to see this." Ami quietly said as she gently pulled Buttercup's shirt back down.

"Please don't tell him, he's just gonna be mad at me. Please Ami, don't wake him up for this, I don't want him to yell at me again." Buttercup cried as she clung to Ami. Ami was torn on what to do, she was the only one Buttercup trusted enough to open up to and she wanted her to continue feeling that way. On the other hand though, her father deserved and needed to know about such serious wounds. He'd be furious if he found out that she knew and didn't say anything. But in the end Ami thought it was better to listen to Buttercup since no one else had for so long, and the small puff deserved at least that much.

"Okay, but on one condition. You have to promise me that you'll tell someone about this so you can get the treatment you need. It doesn't have to be the professor, just an adult that you trust. Deal?" Ami asked with a smile as she held her hand out to Buttercup.

"Deal." Buttercup replied as she gently shook Ami's hand.

"Alright, now back to bed with you. You have school in a few hours if I understand correctly." Ami instructed with a smile as she laid down on the couch.

"Can...can I stay with you?" Buttercup asked with a small frown.

"If that's what makes you feel comfortable or safe, then of course you can." Ami answered as she scooted over a little bit.

"Thanks." Buttercup quietly said as she climbed up on the couch and laid down.

"Goodnight Buttercup, sweet dreams." Ami whispered as she fell asleep.

"You to Ami." Buttercup whispered as she also fell asleep. A few more hours passed before an alarm started going off.

"Time to start breakfast." The professor mumbled as he turned the alarm off, then sat up and stretched. "Pancakes are always quick and good in the morning." The professor said to himself as he got out of bed and headed into the bathroom to shower. Ten minutes went by and the professor stepped out of the bathroom dressed in his usual attire. "Alright, all ready for another day." The professor talked to himself as he hummed his way down the steps and into the kitchen.

"Good morning professor." Ami quietly said with a yawn as she walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning Ami, did you sleep alright on the couch?" The professor asked with a smile.

"Yes sir, thank you again for letting me stay here." Ami thanked as she stretched a little bit.

"It was our pleasure Ami. So, any plans for today? You gonna take a walk around the city and see what's going on?" The professor asked with a smile as he started gathering the ingredients he'd need for the pancakes.

"Maybe, I haven't really put much thought into that. Perhaps I'll go back to the place I first ended up when I got here, see if I can find any clues as to how I might be able to get home." Ami answered with a small smile.

"Well if you need anything just..." The professor started saying, until a bloodcurdling scream came from upstairs. "Girls!" The professor shouted as he dashed out of the kitchen, followed closely by Ami.

"Bubbles!" Ami yelled as she tore after the professor towards the steps.

"What happened, what's wrong?!" The professor shouted as he and Ami burst into the room.

"Buttercup's gone!" Blossom yelled as she pointed at the empty space in the bed.

"What?! Where?!" The professor yelled as he stared at them both.

"We don't know, we woke up and she wasn't there!" Bubbles answered as she started to cry.

"Girls, girls, it's okay. Buttercup's fine, she couldn't sleep and she came downstairs late last night. She's on the couch." Ami informed with a soft smile.

"But, then where did you sleep?" Bubbles asked with a sad expression.

"Same place, Buttercup doesn't take up much space." Ami answered with a smile.

"You slept on the couch with my daughter?!" The professor yelled as he glared at Ami.

"Yeah, she did. But you know what, I'm glad she let me stay there with her. She cares about me, unlike the rest of you." Buttercup quietly said as she came up behind the professor.

"We care about you more than she does for sure! We're you're family Buttercup, she's a stranger we've known for a day!" Blossom yelled back as she glared at Buttercup.

"Well that's all it took for her to talk to me and ask me how I was! All you people have done lately is yell at me and treat me like some kind of monster!" Buttercup yelled with tears in her eyes.

"We wouldn't if you'd stop acting like such a brat!" Blossom shouted with an angry expression.

"I act like a brat because you people don't listen to me!" Buttercup screamed as she started crying even more. "Nobody listens to me." Buttercup quietly cried as she put a hand over her chest.

"When have we not listened to you Buttercup? We always listen to you, I don't understand where this is coming from." The professor quietly said as he stared at Buttercup.

"You didn't listen to me when I told you I punched Blossom by accident!" Buttercup shouted with an angry expression.

"Because that was clearly a lie! How do you accidentally punch someone in your sleep?! You did that on purpose and you know it!" Blossom yelled as she got in Buttercup's face.

"I did not!" Buttercup screamed as she glared at Blossom.

"Yes you did!" Blossom yelled as she pushed Buttercup.

"AH!" Buttercup yelled in pain as she stumbled backwards.

"Don't be a wimp Buttercup, I barely touched you!" Blossom shouted as she stared at Buttercup.

"Stay away from me Blossom! I've had it with you being so mean to me!" Buttercup yelled as she held an arm over her ribs.

"Well we've had it with you being so mean to us!" Bubbles yelled as she flew up to Buttercup and pushed her as well.

"AH! Stop it!" Buttercup screamed as she clutched her chest.

"ENOUGH!" Ami screamed as she pulled her gun out and fired two blanks from it, causing everyone to reflexively duck. "That's enough from all of you! Blossom, Bubbles, stop pushing your sister, you're clearly hurting her! Buttercup, stop hiding your pain and talk to your father right now, or I will!" Ami ordered as she put her gun away.

"You could've killed us! You're a lunatic!" The professor yelled as he stared at Ami.

"Relax, they're blanks. They just go bang, nothing comes out. I'm not an idiot, I'm not gonna discharge a live weapon in the middle of a house with three small children in it." Ami informed with a straight face. "Now show your dad what you showed me last night Buttercup." Ami ordered as she stared at Buttercup.

"We don't have time for this, we have to eat and get to school." Blossom grumbled as she started floating out of the room.

"You stay right there Blossom, I want you to see this. See what you two did to your sister!" Ami snapped as she stared at Blossom.

"Did to your sister? What are you talking about Ami? What is she talking about girls?" The professor asked as he looked back and forth from Ami to Blossom, then to Bubbles.

"I don't know professor, she's nuts." Blossom answered with a straight face.

"Am I? Tell me Blossom, does the phrase an eye for an eye mean anything to you?" Ami asked as she looked at Blossom. "Or how about you Bubbles, have you heard the expression a tooth for a tooth before?" Ami asked as she looked at Bubbles.

"What does that have to do with anything?" The professor asked as he stared at Ami.

"I don't know professor, why don't you ask your girls about it. I'm sure they could tell you everything, like how Buttercup really lost her teeth." Ami replied as she glared at Bubbles and Blossom.

"What does she mean by how Buttercup really lost her teeth? I thought all those villains knocked them out after they ganged up on her in that building." The professor asked with a straight face as he stared at Blossom and Bubbles.

"They did! I don't know what Buttercup told you Ami, but whatever it was she lied." Blossom said with an angry expression.

"That's exactly what she told me happened, but she also told me something interesting about how she came to be in that building. Tell me professor, how did Buttercup end up there in the first place?" Ami asked with a straight face as she stared at the professor.

"Simple, she didn't listen to Blossom's orders and she went off on her own to fight the villains. She does it all the time." The professor answered in a casual tone as he looked down at Buttercup.

"Really? That's not what I heard. I heard that two little superheroes lured her there in order to teach her a lesson. Isn't that right, Blossom and Bubbles?" Ami asked with a stern expression. "You set your own sister up to be ambushed by every villain whose teeth she'd knocked out. When she asked you for help you refused and told her an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth. Does that sound a little more accurate?" Ami asked with an angry expression.

"Girls, is that true? Please tell me she's lying about this." The professor quietly begged as he stared at Blossom and Bubbles.

"Of course she's lying! Why would we do something like that, she's crazy professor!" Blossom yelled with a frown.

"Yeah professor, she's a big liar!" Bubbles replied as she looked down at Buttercup.

"Prove it." Ami instructed as she looked up at the two of them.

"How?" Blossom asked with an angry expression.

"Not my problem, but before you try and figure out how to prove your lie, let me prove the truth. Buttercup, show 'em the pain they caused you." Ami instructed as she looked at Buttercup.

"Okay." Buttercup quietly said as she gently lifted her pajama top up. Everyone stopped fighting and arguing in an instant once Buttercup's shirt was up, gasping at the horrific sight of her injuries.

"Buttercup. What happened to you sweetheart? That looks horrible, who did this to you?" The professor asked as he stared in horror at his daughter's beaten body.

"W-we didn't know, we didn't know they'd hit her that hard." Blossom quietly said as she stared at Buttercup as well.

"What have we done Blossom, Buttercup's all beat up because of us." Bubbles quietly said as she stared at Buttercup.

"So Ami was telling the truth, you did set your sister up. Girls, how could you?" The professor quietly cried as he looked up at Bubbles and Blossom.

"She was being so mean to everyone, she just kept stealing teeth so she could give them to the tooth fairy. So we had to do something, she was attacking villains who weren't even doing anything bad. She attacked Fuzzy when he was just taking a bath, and she beat Mojo up when he was just watching T.V. She was out of control, so we had to do something." Blossom replied with a sniffle.

"You should've came to me and let me take care of it, I'm the adult in this house. It's my job to dish out punishments and discipline around here, not yours! What you two have done to your sister is far beyond any punishment she deserved! It's no wonder she's been acting up so much recently, she's probably in agony, not to mention traumatized. I can't believe you two would let this happen to your own sister. I'm very angry with you two, but most of all, I'm disappointed in the two of you. I raised you better than that. Now go get ready for school, I have to take your sister to the doctor." The professor instructed as he glared at Blossom and Bubbles. "I'm so sorry I haven't been listening to you Buttercup, now I understand what Ami was trying to do when she said I should prod a little more and that you might open up if I did. If I'd just paid more attention and asked more questions instead of assuming you were as okay as you said you were, then maybe you wouldn't be in so much pain. Can you ever forgive me Buttercup?" The professor asked with some tears as he stared at Buttercup.

"Mhm." Buttercup replied with a sniffle as she held her arms out to him.

"Oh baby." The professor quietly said as he gently picked Buttercup up. "Thank you for opening my eyes Ami, how can I ever repay you?" The professor asked as he held Buttercup close.

"There's no need professor. Just remember one thing please." Ami said with a smile as she stared at Buttercup and the professor.

"Anything." The professor replied as he stared back at Ami.

"Good kids come from listening to good parents speak, but great kids come from parents who listen to them speak as much as they listen to us speak. Kids can have a hard time speaking to adults, so as adults we must listen for more than just their words." Ami said with a smile as she stared at the professor and his girls.

"I think I understand what you mean, I should've read her body language as well as listened to what she had to say. You somehow knew by your first day meeting her that she was in pain, and yet I had no idea. I'm her father and I had no clue she was suffering so much. I'm so sorry Buttercup, I'll be better from now on and listen to everything you're telling me, wether you say it out loud or not." The professor quietly said as he hugged Buttercup.

"Please stop." Buttercup groaned as she tried to push away from the professor.

"Sorry." The professor apologized as he let her go. "I'm getting better already." The professor chuckled as he patted Buttercup's head. "As for the two of you though, you're both grounded!" The professor yelled as he stared at Blossom and Bubbles. "No science club for you and no derby games for you. Understood girls?" The professor said as he pointed at Blossom, then to Bubbles.

"Yes professor." Both girls replied in ashamed tones as they hung their heads down. "We're sorry we got Buttercup hurt like that, we didn't know it was that bad, we're so sorry Buttercup." Blossom apologized through her tears as she picked her head up and stared at Buttercup.

"We really didn't know Buttercup, we never would've been so mean if we'd known they were gonna hurt you so badly. Please don't hate us Buttercup." Bubbles cried.

"Thanks." Buttercup quietly said as she held her arms out to Ami.

"Come here Buttercup." Ami said with a smile as she carefully picked Buttercup up.

"Thank you Ami, they never would've known if it hadn't been for you. Thank you." Buttercup cried as she clung to Ami.

"You're welcome. Now let's get some breakfast in the three of you so you can all get to school." Ami said with a smile as she carried Buttercup into the kitchen.

"I'll finish the pancakes up real quick." The professor said with a smile as he poured some batter from the bowl onto the griddle. "So what's on the agenda for school today girls?" The professor asked as he watched the pancake cook.

"We're supposed to have show and tell today, but we don't really know what to bring." Buttercup answered with a straight face.

"What about your rollerblades?" The professor suggested with a smile.

"I brought those once already, plus Ms. Keane wants us all to bring something out of the ordinary." Buttercup answered with a small frown.

"Those bruises are out of the ordinary." The professor chuckled with a small smile, everyone just stared at him. "Too soon?" The professor asked with a straight face.

"I know! Let's bring Ami!" Bubbles cheered with excitement.

"What?!" Ami and the professor both shouted in unison.

"That's perfect Bubbles, Ms. Keane would never think a person from another universe would be an ordinary show and tell item!" Blossom replied with a huge smile.

"Girls! Ami is not some object to show off to your class, she's a human being who has feelings that you're probably hurting right now. Remember, she's lost in another universe far away from her friends and family, you should be more empathetic to that." The professor scolded as he stared at all of them.

"Sorry professor." The girls apologized with small frowns as they all looked down at the table.

"I'd actually be fine with that professor, just as long as it's okay with you and their teacher." Ami replied with a smile.

"Really?" Bubbles asked with big sparkling eyes.

"Mhm, it's the least I can do for you girls. You did welcome me into your home and everything after all." Ami replied as she looked at the professor. "Would you be okay with that professor?" Ami asked with a warm smile.

"As long as you're okay with it then feel free to go with them, but talk to their teacher first please." The professor instructed as he plopped a pancake onto each of their plates.

"Hooray!" All three puffs cheered as they started eating their breakfast.

"Will do professor, and thank you for breakfast." Ami thanked as she started eating her pancakes.

"You're welcome, and thank you again for helping me better understand my girls. I'll never be able to repay you for such a wonderful gift." The professor quietly said as he sat down by Ami and started eating.

"You don't have to, I'm just glad that Buttercup can start healing now. She won't end up like I did, shattered inside with nothing to use to put the pieces back together." Ami quietly said with a small frown as she stared down at her plate. Everyone stopped eating and looked at her for a moment. "Sorry, didn't mean to go down that rabbit hole. I'm trying not to, but this whole experience has brought back some pretty painful memories." Ami quietly said as she took another bite of her breakfast.

"Do you wanna talk about anything?" The professor asked with a small frown.

"Not in front of the girls, they're too young to be exposed to that kind of stuff." Ami quietly answered as she looked at the girls.

"We can take it Ami." Blossom said in a stern voice.

"Yeah, we fight monsters and bad guys all the time. Whatever it is you can tell us." Buttercup replied with a smile.

"Yeah Ami, we want to help make you feel better, just like you helped Buttercup." Bubbles said in her usual squeaky and happy tone.

"No. I won't expose you to that world, you're too innocent, too sweet. I won't let that place destroy anyone or anything else that I care about." Ami quietly replied as she ate some more of her pancakes.

"But..." Bubbles started saying, until Ami snapped at her.

"NO! I won't drag anyone else into that nightmare and that's final!" Ami yelled as she glared at everyone, softening her face after a moment. "I'm sorry, that was uncalled for. That's why I don't like talking about it, the pain of that place changes me, and not in a good way." Ami explained with a few tears. "Finish up girls, don't wanna be late for school." Ami quietly said as she finished her pancakes.

"Okay." Bubbles quietly said as she finished eating.

"Go get your stuff girls, Ami and I will be waiting here for you." The professor said as he looked at Ami.

"Yes professor." All three of them replied as Blossom and Bubbles flew towards the stairs, while Buttercup slowly walked towards them.

"And help your sister with her stuff, she's too injured to be lugging things around!" The professor yelled towards the steps. "Maybe I should just take her to the doctor instead of school." The professor said to himself with a small frown.

"Maybe." Ami quietly said with a shrug.

"That was quite the show, you mind telling me about it since the girls aren't here?" The professor asked with a straight face.

"Have you ever taken a life professor?" Ami asked with a sad expression.

"No. Why are you asking?" The professor asked with a confused expression.

"Because I have." Ami quietly answered as she held her gun up. "Several of them." Ami quietly said as she stared at her gun. "It was war, our original intentions were to try and talk peace, but the second the boat docked we knew that wasn't gonna be possible. The Marleyans were monsters, monsters with an irrational hatred for the people we were with. All hell broke loose before we even docked the boat. It was a blood bath. Bullets flying everywhere, people screaming and dying, it was kill or be killed. So I'm here, and several of them are not, simple as that. The dead have seen the end of the war, and as for me, I still fight it every day. Up here." Ami quietly said as she pointed to her head.

"Ami. I...I'm so sorry, I don't even know what to say other than that. You're so young, to have to go through the nightmare of war at such a young age is a horrible thought. I'm so truly sorry that you had to go through that, is there anything I can do for you?" The professor asked with a small frown.

"No, thank you. Letting me stay here and be friends with your amazing daughters is more than I can ask for, and far better than I deserve. Thank you professor." Ami quietly thanked with a smile.

"You're welcome Ami, but if you do ever need anything, just let me know." The professor said with a smile.

"I will, thank you professor." Ami quietly replied as she rested her head in her hands.

"Let's go!" Blossom yelled as she zipped down the stairs so fast that she was just a colored streak for a moment.

"Coming!" Bubbles yelled as she did the same thing.

"You okay Buttercup?!" Blossom yelled from the bottom of the steps.

"Yeah." Buttercup grumbled as she slowly walked out of her room with her bag. "Uh, it's so heavy that it hurts." Buttercup groaned as she dragged herself towards the steps.

"You want help with your bag?!" Bubbles asked in a concerned tone.

"No thank you!" Buttercup yelled back as she lugged herself and her bag to the top of the stairs.

"Ask for help if you need it Buttercup, otherwise you're just gonna hurt yourself even more!" Ami yelled from the kitchen as she got up from the table and ran to the stairs.

"Fine." Buttercup said with a sigh. "Could someone take my bag please, it's so heavy that it hurts?" Buttercup asked with a small frown.

"Got it." Blossom replied as she flew up to Buttercup and took her bag.

"Thanks Bloss." Buttercup replied as she started walking down the steps.

"Why aren't you flying Buttercup?" Blossom asked as she floated next to her.

"Because it hurts too much. Which makes no sense, you'd think it would hurt less by just floating around and not putting any force on my body." Buttercup answered as she stepped off the last step.

"It could be that when you're floating all of your weight is pulling down on your body and adding tension to certain parts of it." Ami suggested as she held her arms out to her.

"I don't understand half of that." Buttercup replied as she lifted her arms so Ami could pick her up.

"That's okay. Are you sure you're alright to go to school Buttercup, your dad can take you to the doctor if you need?" Ami asked with a straight face as she picked Buttercup up.

"I'm okay, thanks though." Buttercup replied as she wrapped her arms around part of Ami's neck.

"Alright, but let someone know if it gets worse and you need to go home." Ami instructed as she carried Buttercup towards the door.

"Okay." Buttercup replied as she rested her head on Ami's shoulder.

"Bye professor, we'll see you later." Blossom said as she waved goodbye and flew out the door.

"Bye professor!" Bubbles yelled as she did the same thing.

"Take care girls, and have a good day!" The professor yelled as he watched Ami carry Buttercup out the door.

"We'd better hurry, we're running late!" Blossom yelled as she dashed off at top speed towards her school.

"Not late!" Bubbles squealed as she did the same thing.

"Hold on Buttercup, I'll get you to school on time." Ami said with a smile as she looked back at Buttercup.

"I don't care if you do or don't." Buttercup mumbled as she slowly closed her eyes.

"We forgot that you can't fly." Blossom said as she and Bubbles flew back over by Ami.

"I know, we can carry them." Bubbles giggled as she picked Ami and Buttercup up.

"Thanks girls, but be careful with Buttercup. If you go too fast it could put too much force on her body and hurt her even more." Ami warned with a straight face.

"Could you hold her in a way that might shield her from the wind?" Blossom asked as she stared at Ami.

"I can try." Ami answered as she faced her back to the wind and pushed Buttercup against her stomach.

"Woah, you're ripped Ami." Buttercup quietly said as she poked Ami's stomach.

"Thanks, it was a lot of work. I use to be a little flabby in that region believe it or not." Ami replied with a smile as she held Buttercup in a slightly tighter grip.

"Ready Bubbles?" Blossom asked as she looked at Bubbles.

"Ready!" Bubbles yelled back with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Alright, then let's go!" Blossom yelled as she soared towards the school.

"Yippee!" Bubbles squealed as she followed Blossom.

"You okay Buttercup?" Ami asked as she looked down at Buttercup.

"Yeah, I'm shielded by abs of steel." Buttercup giggled as she snuggled up to Ami.

"They're not that impressive, you give me too much credit." Ami chuckled as she lightly patted Buttercup's head.

"We're here!" Bubbles yelled as she gently set Ami down.

"Pokey oaks kindergarten?" Ami asked as she stared at the school. It was a small one story brick building in the shape of a rectangle, it had two long panels of windows on the front of the building and a standard salmon colored door in between the pannels.

"Yep! Now come on, we'll introduce you to Ms. Keane." Blossom said with a smile as she floated over to the door and opened it.

"Good morning Ms. Keane!" Bubbles squealed with joy as she zipped into the school.

"Good morning girls." Ms. Keane replied as she looked at the girls. "Oh, hello there, can I help you Ms.?" Ms. Keane asked as she stared at Ami. She was about Ami's height and had hair that was about the same length as Amis. It was black and stretched about halfway down her neck before flowing out in an odd curve shape that stretched the width of her head. Her eyes were round and blue and she was wearing red heals, brown leggings, and a tanish orange shirt with a red vest over it. She was a somewhat voluptuous woman who's sweet appearance was only rivaled by her sweeter nature and smile.

"Oh, um, maybe. My name's Ami Mizuno, I'm here with the girls." Ami answered with a smile.

"You're a friend of the girls?" Ms. Keane asked with a smile.

"Yes ma'am." Ami answered as she bowed to Ms. Keane.

"Well that's nice, but the girls have school right now and I'm sure you do as well." Ms. Keane said with a smile, insinuating that she wanted Ami to leave.

"Actually Ms. Keane, Ami's our show and tell project. She's a traveler from another world." Blossom explained with a smile.

"Yeah, she's a super hero like us." Bubbles giggled as she flew over to a small round table and sat down at it.

"Really? Well alright, I guess she can stay if she doesn't have anywhere else to be." Ms. Keane said as she walked up to the front of the room. "Feel free to sit anywhere you'd like Ms. Mizuno." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she started writing on the chalkboard.

"Thank you ma'am." Ami replied as she sat down on the floor by the girl's table. Ami casually looked around the room, it was a somewhat dully colored room. It had a sand colored carpet floor and light tan walls. There were a bunch of cabinets across the top and bottom of the back wall, as well as a sink at about the halfway point between the bottom cabinets. The front of the room contained a green chalk board that was centered on the wall and had the alphabet written on it. To the left of the chalk board was Ms. Keane's desk, it looked like any other teacher's desk. As for the center of the room, there were several small and pink round tables with little blue chairs scattered around them where the kids sat. Finally, there was a phone identical to the one the girls had in their room sitting off to the side on a table.

"Alright class, first things first let's get our show and tell started. Who would like to go first?" Ms. Keane asked as she looked around the room.

"We do!" Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup all yelled as they raised their hands.

"Alright girls, go ahead." Ms Keane replied with a giggle.

"Come on Ami!" Blossom yelled as she dashed up to the front of the room, followed by Bubbles.

"Come on Buttercup." Ami said with a smile as she picked Buttercup up and carried her to the front of the room.

"Ha, Buttercup's being carried like a baby!" One of the kids yelled with a laugh. He was a somewhat grouchy looking kid. He had brown hair similar to Mako's in color, as well as some freckles on his cheeks. He was wearing a black shirt and yellow pants.

"Shut up Mitch." Buttercup grumbled as she crossed her arms and looked down at Ami's shoulder.

"Mitch Mitchelson! You stop laughing at your classmate this instant, there's nothing wrong with Buttercup bonding with her new friend." Ms. Keane scolded as she looked at Mitch.

"Sorry." Mitch apologized with a small frown.

"Go ahead girls." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she looked back at the girls.

"Want me to put you down?" Ami asked with a smile as she looked at Buttercup, knowing that the young and tough puff was probably embarrassed to look so weak.

"Yes please." Buttercup answered with a smile. Ami nodded and gently set her down.

"For our show and, ah...okay no, up please." Buttercup groaned as she put a hand over her aching ribs.

"I've gotch ya." Ami quietly said as she carefully picked Buttercup back up.

"Thanks." Buttercup thanked with a small blush of embarrassment. "Where was I? Oh yeah, for our show and tell we brought our new friend Ami." Buttercup said as she gestured to Ami.

"Hello." Ami greeted as she waved to everyone.

"Ami's a super hero from another universe." Bubbles added with a squeaky giggle.

"She's really tough, at first we thought she was a bad guy because Mojo took her from her home universe. So we started fighting with her." Blossom explained with a big smile.

"Yeah, we thought she did something to Buttercup when we first met, so we tried to beat her up." Bubbles said with a big smile.

"But in the middle of the fight she did something really cool! She became a super hero!" Blossom yelled with enthusiasm as she pointed at Ami.

"It was so neat, and her outfit was really pretty! Can you show them Ami, pleeeeease?!" Bubbles begged as she stared at Ami.

"Alright." Ami said with a smile as she shifted Buttercup so she could hold her in one arm and grab her wand with the other." Mercury crystal power, make up." Ami calmly called out. All the students and Ms. Keane stared in awe as a bright blue light enveloped the room, then diminished as quickly as it'd appeared. "Tada." Mercury said with a smile as she stared at everyone.

"Wow! That's so awesome!" One of the students yelled as he stared at Mercury.

"Where's your cape? I thought superheroes wore capes." One of the other students asked as she stared at Mercury.

"Do the Powerpuff Girls wear capes?" Mercury asked with a smile.

"No." The the girl replied as she looked at the Powerpuff Girls.

"They're heroes right?" Mercury asked with the same smile.

"Yeah. Wow, I guess not all heroes wear capes after all." The girl giggled as she stared at Mercury.

"Just because you changed your outfit doesn't make you a super hero." Mitch said with a smirk as he stared at Mercury.

"Clever, you're absolutely right Mitch. But would something like say...this be convincing?" Mercury asked as she held her hand up and forged a small octopus of solid ice.

"WOAH!" All the kids yelled as they stared at Ami's ice statue.

"It's like Octi!" Bubbles squealed as she held her hands out to Mercury, who smiled and handed her the octopus.

"Can you make me something to?!" One of the kids yelled with a smile.

"Me to! Me to!" Another kid yelled.

"Settle down children, Ami's not an ice dispenser." Ms. Keane chuckled as she looked at Ami. "She is quite cool though." Ms. Keane chuckled to herself.

"Good one Ms. Keane." Bubbles said with a giggle.

"It was nice to meet all of you, but I won't take up anymore time. I'm sure you all have things you wanna share as well." Mercury said with a smile as she let down her transformation.

"Wait, you never said what that thing was." One of the kids said as she pointed at Ami's ODM rig.

"She doesn't talk much about that thing Robbin." Blossom informed as she looked at the girl.

"That's a pretty name." Ami complimented as she looked at the girl. She was the same height as the girls were, she had long light brown hair that was straight combed and big blue eyes. She was wearing a white shirt with a green apple on it and a pair of red pants with white shoes.

"Why not? It looks cool." Robbin asked with a smile.

"Just because something looks cool doesn't mean it's something nice." Ami quietly said with a small frown. "Well girls, let's give someone else a turn." Ami said as she carried Buttercup back to their table and sat down.

"That was very nice girls, now why don't you go Robin." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she looked at Robin.

"Okay." Robin replied as she walked to the front of the room. "This is my daddy's pocket watch, he gave it to me when he got a new one." Robin said with a smile as she showed off the watch. It was a standard size pocket watch with a fake gold exterior and a chain to match, but it was special to her.

"Very good Robin. Who's next?" Ms. Keene asked with a smile. After about twenty minutes everyone had presented their show and tell projects. "Alright class, now it's time for art. Today we're gonna be drawing pictures, you can draw whatever you'd like, just do your best." Ms. Keene instructed with a smile.

"Yes Ms. Keene!" Everyone yelled as they all grabbed a sheet of paper and some crayons or markers.

"What are you gonna draw Ami?" Bubbles asked as she started scribbling with a blue crayon.

"I'm not sure." Ami replied as she grabbed a piece of paper. 'Wasn't planning on drawing anything, but I don't wanna disappoint the girls.' Ami thought to herself as she started doodling.

"Jeez Buttercup, what the heck is that?" Blossom asked as she stared at Buttercup's paper.

"None of your business." Buttercup replied as she put her arm in front of her drawing.

"Fine, whatever." Blossom replied as she started making her own drawing. Another thirty minutes went by before a bell rang and all the kids yelled with joy.

"Lunch time!" Bubbles squealed as she dashed over to her bag and pulled her lunch box out of it, then flew back to the table.

"Yay!" Blossom yelled as she did the same thing.

"Want me to grab yours Buttercup?" Ami asked with a smile.

"Yes please." Buttercup replied as she continued drawing. Ami stood up and walked over by the bags, then dug through Buttercup's and pulled out her lunch box. "Here you go." Ami said with a smile as she set the box in front of Buttercup.

"Thank you." Buttercup thanked as she pulled two sandwiches out of it. "Here Ami, the professor made you a PB and J as well." Buttercup informed as she handed Ami the sandwich.

"That was sweet of him, thanks professor." Ami said with a smile as she took a bite of the sandwich, while casually glancing at Buttercup's drawing. 'Wonder if she's made any pictures similar to this one, she's definitely trying to process her trauma.' Ami thought to herself as she stared at the picture. It was a crudely drawn picture of a person that was obviously Buttercup in the center of some other crudely drawn characters. One of them she recognized as Mojo Jojo, the other ones she had no clue about though. One was a pink thing, another was a red thing, there was a group of green things, and the rest were just a bunch of random stick figures. "What'd you draw Buttercup?" Ami casually asked, pretending like she hadn't looked at it yet.

"Just some dumb scribbles." Buttercup answered as she flipped the paper over and took a bite of her sandwich.

'She's either lying and doesn't want me to know about it, or she drew it subconsciously and genuinely doesn't realize exactly what it is she's drawn.' Ami thought to herself as she took another bite of her sandwich.

"All done, now let's go outside and play." Blossom said with a smile as she floated up from her chair.

"Yippee! Recess!" Bubbles cheered as she did the same thing.

"Come on you two, let's go play!" Blossom yelled as she hovered over to the door.

"Is everyone ready for recess?" Ms. Keane asked with a smile.

"YAY!" All the kids cheered as they flooded towards the door and burst out of it.

"You wanna go play Buttercup?" Ami asked with a smile.

"Okay." Buttercup replied as she slowly got to her feet.

"You gonna be okay to walk?" Ami asked as she held a hand out to Buttercup.

"Maybe for a bit." Buttercup answered as she took Ami's offered hand, then slowly walked towards the door.

"Alright, but let me know if you need a lift." Ami instructed as she walked Buttercup out of the room.

"Ami! Make something cool like you did with the ice Octi!" Bubbles yelled as she excitedly flapped her arms at Ami.

"I will if it's okay with your teacher." Ami answered with a smile.

"Ms. Keane! Ms. Keane!" Bubbles squealed as she dashed over to Ms. Keane. "Ms. Keane, can Ami make cool snow and ice stuff for us?" Bubbles asked with puppy dog eyes that were somehow even bigger than her normal ones.

"Only if Ami's okay with it." Ms. Keane answered with a smile.

"YAY!" Bubbles cheered as she zipped back over to Ami. "She said yes! She said yes!" Bubbles yelled in a giddy tone.

"Alright, I'll make you all something cool. Just give me a second to think." Ami replied as she pondered what to make. "Got it. Okay girls, stand back." Ami instructed as she pictured the design in her mind. Ami then held her hands out and started making a massive ice structure. All the kids stopped playing and stared in awe as the structure started to take shape. "Just one more touch aaaand, done. What do you think?" Ami asked as she stared at the structure.

"It's perfect!" Bubbles squealed as she stared at the structure. It was a giant play set in the shape of Octi, it even had the little top hat. Each of the tentacles was a slide of a different shape, and the head was hollow so the kids could climb inside of it to get to the slides. The eyes were made of transparent ice that acted like windows, and there were smaller dots around it resembling the dots on Octi that were also made of transparent ice.

"That's one amazing structure, but is it stable?" Ms. Keane asked as she stared at the structure.

"Yep, the structure is perfectly contoured to the surrounding ground to prevent shifting, and the ice is made of magical permafrost that'll never melt." Ami answered with a smile.

"Can we play on it Ms. Keane?! Please please please!" Bubbles yelled as she stared at Ms. Keane.

"Of course you can girls, you all can." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she looked down at Bubbles.

"Yay!" Bubbles yelled a she flew over to the play set, followed by all of the other kids.

"That was very nice of you Ms. Mizuno, our equipment was getting kind of old and worn and we really don't have room in the budget to replace it right now." Ms. Keane said with a smile. "Is there anything I can do to repay you?" Ms. Keane asked with a smile.

"I do have one request actually. Do you mind if we go inside and talk for a moment?" Ami asked with a smile.

"I can't leave the kids unattended right now, but I can talk during nap time if you'd like." Ms. Keane answered with a smile.

"That'll work perfectly, thank you Ms. Keane." Ami thanked with a smile as she watched everyone play. Everyone ran around and played on Ami's play set for another ten minutes before the bell rang and it was time to head back inside.

"Awe!" All the kids yelled with frowns as they started heading towards the door.

"Back to class kiddos." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she held the door open for everyone. "Alright, let's start our next lesson. We're gonna work on our letters." Ms. Keane informed as she pointed at the board. "Now grab a piece of paper and start writing down your alphabet, I want the uppercase letters followed by the lower case of that letter next to it. Just like I have on the board." Ms. Keene instructed as she pointed at the chalkboard.

"Yes Ms. Keane." All the kids replied as they started doing as they were told.

"Actually Ami, if you'd like we can talk now since they're all busy." Ms. Keane informed as she looked at Ami.

"I'd rather wait till nap time if you don't mind, just in case any of them need you or they see me as a distraction." Ami replied as she watched the girls write their letters.

"Very reasonable of you Ms. Mizuno." Ms. Keane quietly said as she casually walked around the room. "Good Robin." Ms. Keane said as she looked at Robin's paper. "Very nice penmanship Dexter." Ms. Keane complimented as she walked by an orange haired kid wearing glasses, purple gloves, and a lab coat that was similar to the professors. "Very um...creative Mitch." Ms. Keane said as she stared at Mitch's letters, most of which he'd somehow turned into weird pictures or monsters with pointy teeth. "Nicely done Blossom, keep it up." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she looked at Blossom's work. "Good Buttercup, but add a dot above the lowercase I so it doesn't look like a lowercase L." Ms. Keane instructed as she looked at Buttercup's work.

"Okay." Buttercup replied as she corrected her I.

"Much better." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she continued checking on her students. After about twenty minutes everyone had completed their tasks and most of them were ready to fall asleep at their tables. "Alright kiddos, nap time." Ms. Keane informed with a smile as she went around collecting their papers. All the kids happily listened and sauntered over to the nap area. "Oops, must've grabbed someone's drawing by mistake." Ms. Keane chuckled as she looked over the drawing she'd picked up, feeling her heart beat catch in her throat as she stared at it.

"Don't say anything about it, that's what I wanted to talk to you about." Ami quietly said as she walked over by Ms. Keane.

"Wh-what is this? It's horrible." Ms. Keane quietly said as she stared at the drawing with a horrified expression.

"It's a memory, a traumatic one. This is common amongst children who've been through trauma, they may struggle to communicate their feelings about it so instead they draw it. Either consciously or unconsciously." Ami quietly explained with a small frown.

"Do you know whose?" Ms. Keane quietly asked as she looked back at Ami.

"Buttercups." Ami answered with a small frown.

"What happened to her that she'd draw something so horribly sad?" Ms. Keane quietly asked with a sad expression.

"A brutal assault, and I'm guessing these are the ones responsible. Do you recognize any of them other than Mojo?" Ami asked with a straight face.

"Yes. Let's see, these green ones in a group are known as the Gangreen Gang, this pink one is a creature called Fuzzy Lumpkins, you said you knew Mojo, then that just leaves Him." Ms. Keane explained as she pointed at the red drawing.

"What's his name?" Ami asked as she looked at the figure.

"That is his name, that creature's just known as Him." Ms. Keane explained with a small frown.

"What is this creature exactly?" Ami asked with a curious expression.

"No one knows for sure, whatever it is though, it's pretty much the embodiment of sheer chaos and evil." Ms. Keane explained with a straight face.

"C-Chaos? Chaos is in this universe?! NO! No, no, no, that can't be! I destroyed him, I destroyed him and Reaper! God, if he's here he could resurrect Reaper and my nightmare would start all over again! I have that to find him and kill him now, otherwise if he finds me first god only knows what he'll do to hurt me! He could go after the girls or anyone else in this universe, they wouldn't stand a chance against Chaos, let alone Reaper! I have to find them and kill them before it's too late!" Ami yelled as she broke down in a panic.

"What are you talking about?" Ms. Keane asked as she stared at Ami.

"It's not safe, they're not safe, no one is with me around. I need to get away from them or he could target them. I have to leave and hunt those creatures down before they find me, or worse, find the girls. I have to go, I have to go Ms. Keane!" Ami yelled as she started running towards the door.

"Where are you going Ami?" Bubbles asked as she and everyone else woke up and stared at Ami.

"I have to go, I have to go before they learn about you. I won't let anymore innocent people be caught in the crossfire, I'm sorry girls, but I have to go. It's the best way to protect you." Ami cried as she ran out of the school.

"Wait!" Buttercup yelled as she dashed after Ami, despite all the pain she felt. "Please don't leave us Ami, don't go!" Buttercup yelled as she clung to Ami.

"I don't want to, but I have to keep you girls safe. I can't let Chaos or Reaper find you, they'll kill you if they do." Ami cried as she looked down at Buttercup.

"Who?" Buttercup asked as she titled her head at Ami.

"Chaos and Reaper, they must still be alive. They must've tracked me to this universe, either that or they never died and they just used the explosion to sneak here from my universe. Either way I can't risk putting you girls in danger. I'm so sorry Buttercup." Ami cried as she gently pulled Buttercup off of her.

"Ami, those things aren't here. You're just relapsing, like what's been happening to me. You're the first thing to ever come to us from another universe. I promise you, even though we call Him the embodiment of evil, he's pretty weak physically. His powers of manipulation are his most dangerous weapon, but with your incredible intellect he'd never be able to manipulate you. Whatever this Chaos thing is that you're worried about, it's not here." Buttercup quietly said as she reached her arms up at Ami.

"Okay. I trust you." Ami replied with a sniffle as she picked Buttercup up and carried her back inside.

"Are you okay Ami?" Blossom asked as she floated over by Ami.

"Yeah, you were crying and you ran away. Did we do something to make you not like us?" Bubbles asked with watery eyes.

"No! No not at all girls, I love you three like my own children. That's why I ran out like that, I thought Him was a bad guy from my world, a really dangerous one that you girls wouldn't've stood a chance against. I'm so glad that Chaos isn't here, because the thought of leaving you three broke my heart." Ami quietly cried as she grabbed Blossom and Bubbles out of the air, then hugged all three of the girls.

"We would've been heartbroken to if you'd left." Blossom cried as she clung to Ami.

"Yeah, you're like a mommy to us. Even though we just met you yesterday, you've changed so many things for us. Buttercup's not as grumpy because she told us what was wrong, and we're not all fighting anymore, and the professor's gonna start listening to us better. You're a perfect mommy." Bubbles cried as she clung to Ami.

"Please don't ever leave us Ami, we love you." Buttercup cried as she held onto Ami as tight as she could.

"I love you to girls, and I promise not to leave you three. Even when I find a way back home, I'll do whatever I have to in order to stay in touch with you three. My sweet little puffs." Ami said with a sniffle as she held all three puffs in her arms and rocked them.

"Promise?" Buttercup asked with a sniffle as she looked into Ami's eyes.

"I promise." Ami quietly replied as she gently wiped Buttercup's tears away.

"Are you alright Ms. Mizuno?" Ms. Keane quietly asked as she walked up to Ami.

"Yeah, thank you Ms. Keane." Ami thanked as she set Blossom and Bubbles down.

"I'm glad, now why don't we head back inside, nap time's almost over." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she gestured to the door.

"Sounds good Ms. Keane." Ami replied as she carried Buttercup inside, while Blossom and Bubbles floated on either side of her.

"Alright children, let's grab some paper and things to color with." Ms. Keane said in a soothing tone as she walked to the front of the room.

"Yes Ms. Keane!" All the kids replied as they walked to their tables and sat down.

"We're gonna end our day with a special drawing, I want all of you to draw a picture of your biggest hero. It could be anyone, it could be your parents, or someone from a T.V show, whomever you look up to. I want you to draw that person as best as you can." Ms. Keane instructed as she started passing out paper and drawing materials.

"Yes Ms. Keane!" All the kids yelled with smiles as they all started drawing. "Who are you gonna draw Ami?" Blossom asked as she looked over at Ami.

"I don't know, that's a tough choice. So many people have been there for me in such difficult times. Honestly though, I think my friend Naru might be my biggest hero. She's always there for us when we need her, she keeps a level head in the craziest and scariest of situations. She's part of the reason I've come so far in my recovery after that scary world I was in." Ami answered as she started drawing Naru.

"She sounds so cool, I hope we can meet your friends one day Ami. I'd really like that." Blossom said with a smile as she started drawing.

"What about you Blossom, who are you gonna draw?" Ami asked as she continued drawing.

"Probably Ms. Bellum, she's always so nice to us. She takes care of us and makes us feel happy, before we met you she was the closest thing we had to a mommy." Blossom answered with a smile as she grabbed a red crayon and scribbled in a dress.

"She sounds lovely Blossom, maybe you could introduce me sometime." Ami said with a smile as she continued drawing.

"I'm drawing Ms. Bellum as well, she's so pretty and nice to us. She always tells us how special we are and how proud she is of us." Bubbles giggled as she scribbled some swirly orange hair on the figure's head.

"Ms. Bellum really means a lot to you girls, I'm glad that she makes you all so happy." Ami said with a smile as she continued her drawing. "What about you Buttercup, are you gonna draw Ms. Bellum as well?" Ami asked as she looked up at Buttercup.

"I love Ms. Bellum, but I think I have a new hero now." Buttercup replied as she continued scribbling.

"Who is it Buttercup?" Bubbles asked as she tried to peak at Buttercup's drawing.

"It's a secret." Buttercup answered as she scribbled in some color with a sky blue marker.

"No fair, we told Ami who we were drawing, so you have to as well." Blossom said as she tried to peak at Buttercup's drawing.

"I'll show you when it's done." Buttercup said as she turned away from Blossom and continued drawing. "Ha. Alright, it's all done." Buttercup said with a smile as she showed her drawing to her sisters.

"What is it?" Blossom asked as she stared at the drawing.

"It looks like a blue circle on top of a blue triangle." Bubbles giggled as she stared at Buttercup's drawing.

"Is it that bad Ami?" Buttercup asked as she showed Ami her drawing.

"Let's see." Ami replied as she looked at the drawing, with one glance she knew exactly who the figure was supposed to be. "Oh Buttercup, you're such a sweetheart. It's beautiful." Ami said with a smile as she hugged Buttercup.

"You can't even tell who it is though." Blossom said with a grin as she looked at Ami.

"Sure you can. A blue skirt, white top, and blue hair. It's obviously Ami." Buttercup replied as she pointed out each part of her drawing.

"That's supposed to be Ami?! Haha! It looks like you tried to draw her in the style of cubism!" Blossom squealed as she almost fell out of her chair laughing.

"Stop laughing at me!" Buttercup yelled as she glared at her sisters.

"It looks like she has two blue bullseyes on her face! Are those her eyes?!" Bubbles squealed as she repeatedly slammed her hand on the table through a fit of laughter.

"SHUT UUUUP!" Buttercup screamed as she ripped her drawing in half, then flew out of the room in a streak of bright green light.

"Buttercup!" Ami yelled as she watched the green streak fade away. "What is wrong with you two?! How could you both be so cruel to Buttercup?! She's having a hard enough time as it as and you go and tease her like that, you two should be ashamed of yourselves!" Ami yelled as she stared at Blossom and Bubbles with a rageful expression.

"We didn't mean to make her run off, we were just poking fun at her." Blossom apologized with a sad expression as she stared at Ami.

"Yeah, Buttercup pokes at us like that all the time, and we do the same thing. We didn't think she'd get so angry, she never use to." Bubbles added with a few tears.

"Oh girls." Ami quietly said as she kneeled in front of them both and stared at them with a sad expression. "Listen, Buttercup's not the same girl she was when you would do things like that. She's very emotional and sensitive right now because of what happened to her with all of those bad guys, so you have to be mindful of how you treat her right now. Do you understand girls?" Ami asked with a small frown as she put a hand on each of their shoulders.

"Yes, we're sorry Ami. Even when we're trying to be nice we keep hurting her, we're bad sisters!" Blossom cried as she clung to Ami.

"We're the worst sisters ever!" Bubbles cried as she also clung to Ami.

"That's not true, don't you two ever say things like that. You're wonderful sisters, you're just young and don't always understand things. That's okay though, making mistakes is how we learn and grow." Ami said with a smile as she hugged them both. "Now let's go find your sister." Ami quietly said as she tousled the hair on each of their heads before standing up.

"Okay." Blossom replied as she started floating towards the door, until a buzzing sound caught her attention. "The hotline!" Blossom yelled as she dashed over to the clown phone on the table and answered it. "Yes mayor." Blossom said with a serious expression as she held the phone up to her head.

"Powerpuff girls, you've gotta do something! There's a giant beast attacking Townsville, and it's headed towards the pickle factory! Save the pickles!" The mayor shouted into the phone.

"Give me that." A woman ordered as she took the phone from the mayor. "Girls, you need to stop that thing quickly, the Townsville hospital is directly in the path of the creature! Hurry!" The woman ordered in a calm and forceful tone.

"We're on it Ms. Bellum!" Blossom yelled as she hung up the phone. "Come on Bubbles, there's a monster attacking the city and it's headed for the hospital!" Blossom yelled as she flew out the window in her usual colored streak.

"What about Buttercup?!" Bubbles squealed as she stared at Blossom

"This is more important, and I'm sure Buttercup would agree. Now come on, there isn't much time!" Blossom yelled as she took off towards the hospital.

"Okay." Bubbles quietly replied as she flew after Blossom.

"If they think I'm gonna sit here and let them fight with one less teammate then they're wrong." Ami said with a stern expression as she grabbed her ODM handles. "Ms. Keene, if Buttercup happens to come back please let Mr. Utonium know so he can come pick her up, she shouldn't be flying around much with her injuries." Ami instructed as she fired her anchors into a tree.

"Understood, good luck to you three." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she stared at Ami.

"Thanks." Ami replied as she reeled her line in and propelled herself into the air. "Wait up girls!" Ami shouted as she fired a burst of gas for speed and dashed towards the girls.

"What are you doing Ami?!" Blossom yelled as Ami landed on a roof next to her.

"What I always do, fight monsters and protect people. Same as you." Ami answered with a grin as she pulled her wand out. "Mercury crystal power, make up!" Ami shouted as she quickly took her guardian form. "You girls take the lead since this is your world and you know how to beat these things, I'll hang back and analyze it for a weakness!" Mercury informed as she activated her visor and pulled her computer out.

"You do that and we'll give it the good ol' one two combo! Ready Bubbles?!" Blossom yelled as she looked over at Bubbles.

"Let's get it Blossom!" Bubbles yelled with a smile as they all started moving forward again, until they came to the center of the city.

"Yuck! What is that thing?!" Blossom said with a disgusted expression as she stared at the creature.

"I don't know, but it's hideous!" Bubbles yelled as she lightly gagged at the sight of the creature. Mercury looked at it as well and had no idea what to think. It looked like a ten story turd emoji with limbs like a stick figure, like something that'd walked out of Steamboat Willy if it'd been made by a bunch of drunks from a frat house.

"Doesn't matter girls, it just needs to be stopped before it hurts anyone." Mercury calmly said as she started analyzing the creature. "This is unexpected." Mercury said to herself as she typed on her computer.

"What is it Ami?" Blossom asked as she looked at Mercury.

"According to my scan this things not a turd, it's a hollow metal contraption. It's a giant robot." Mercury explained as she continued analyzing the structure.

"There's only one creep with the capability to build a robot of this caliber." Blossom said as she looked towards Bubbles.

"Mojo Jojo, he's being a very bad monkey." Bubbles grumbled as she stared at the machine.

"Mwah haha haha! Yes punny puffs! For it is I, Mojo Jojo! You're biggest nemesis! Behold, my totally unbeatable robot of doom, or if you'd prefer, Mojo's Turd! Wait, that came out wrong." Mojo shouted with a maniacal laugh, until he thought about his machines name for a second.

"Well we're gonna squash that turd of yours and dump you back in jail Mojo!" Blossom shouted as she stared at Mojo.

"You're not going to do anything punny puff, unless of course, you really don't care about her after all." Mojo said with a fake pout.

"What are you talking about Mojo?!" Blossom shouted back as she continued staring at Mojo.

"My guest of course, you might recognize her!" Mojo shouted as he slammed Buttercup against the window of his machine.

"Buttercup!" Everyone yelled with horrified expression as Mojo smooshed Buttercup's face against the window.

"Seems like she's not feeling very well, she can't even fight. I almost feel sorry for her, but not really! Hahaha! Now do as I say or she gets it!" Mojo ordered as he pressed Buttercup harder against the window.

"What do you want Mojo?!" Blossom yelled in a frightened tone as she stared at her helpless sister.

"I want the professor's formula for his chemical x, bring it here or I'll really use her as a punching bag this time!" Mojo yelled with a sinister grin.

"Don't do it Bloss, I'm not worth..." Buttercup started saying, until Mojo slammed her head into the window.

"Shut up punny puff! Bring me the formula or she..." Mojo paused as he looked behind him. "I can't say that, that's too cruel." Mojo whispered. "I'm not..." Mojo started saying, until something made his voice catch in his throat. "O-or she dies!" Mojo stuttered as he looked back out the window.

"NO! Please don't! We'll get you the formula, we'll get you whatever you want Mojo, just don't hurt Buttercup anymore! Please, we're begging you, take us instead!" Blossom screamed as she burst into tears.

"This is too painful, I may be a villain, but I'm not a monster." Mojo quietly said as he continued staring behind him.

"You promised me chemical x in exchange for your life, either I get that formula or you get killed. I will get what I want one way or another, so make up your mind you filthy ape." A voice called out from the darkness behind Mojo.

"Th-that's the only deal I'm offering! Now get me the formula or loose your sister forever!" Mojo shouted as he looked back out the window.

"We'll get it! We'll get it! Just don't hurt her, please Mojo! Don't hurt Buttercup, we'll get you whatever you want!" Blossom cried as she flew off in a streak of light towards her house.

"I'm truly sorry punny puff, I use to be a villain, but now I'm but a pawn to a monster. Forgive me young puff." Mojo quietly said as he cradled Buttercup's now unconscious body in his arms.

"Mercy is for the weak. Once we have the formula you are to dump that thing out the chute and into the incinerator, and if she doesn't end up in that thing then you will." The voice ordered in a dark and echoey tone.

"I understand sir." Mojo quietly said as he hit a button and opened a small hatch in the floor.

"Here! We have the formula, now please let Buttercup go!" Blossom shouted as she held a piece of paper up at the machine.

"Good! Now put it in that round tube!" Mojo ordered as a small long tube extended out the bottom of the machine towards Blossom. Blossom rolled the paper up and jammed it into the tube without a seconds hesitation.

"You got what you wanted, now please let Buttercup go!" Blossom yelled with a river of tears.

"You know what to do, dump the girl." The voice ordered in a cruel and cold tone.

"Yes." Mojo quietly said with sorrow as he stared at the incinerator before throwing Buttercup down it.

"Excellent. Now get us back to the base." The voice ordered in a firm tone.

"Fine." Mojo replied as he turned his machine around and started walking away.

"WAIT! You got what you wanted! Where's Buttercup!" Blossom screamed as she broke down crying.

"NO! Give us Buttercup! Please!" Bubbles screamed as she also started crying.

'Please Sailor Mercury, save the puff.' Mojo thought to himself as he continued moving his machine away.

"Something's not right, Mojo may be a villain, but he's not the sadistic type. He wouldn't go back on a deal like that. Someone else is pulling the strings here. Think Ami, think. Mojo wouldn't kill Buttercup, even if he was ordered to. He's intelligent though, he would've found a way to make it look convincing for the one pulling the strings, but he wouldn't have the heart to kill anyone." Mercury thought out loud as she scanned the machine again. "There!" Mercury yelled as she viewed the machine layer by layer through her visor. "The cooling duct above the back right tentacle. Stay here girls, this needs to be a stealthy rescue. Buttercup's life may not be the only one in danger here." Mercury explained as she fired her anchors into the bottom of the machine, then pulled herself up to it. "Hang in there Buttercup, I'm coming for you." Mercury said to herself as she placed her hands over a metal panel and pushed on it, popping it out of place like a vent cover. "Buttercup." Mercury whispered as she peered into the dark narrow shaft.

"I'm here." Buttercup quietly cried in response.

"Can you get to me?" Mercury asked in a calm tone.

"I don't know, it really hurts now." Buttercup cried as she rolled onto her stomach and tried to crawl towards Ami.

"You can do it Buttercup, I believe in you." Mercury quietly said in an encouraging tone. Buttercup nodded and slowly dragged herself down the shaft towards Mercury, her entire body screamed in pain with every move she made.

"Ami I can't, I can't go any further. It's too painful." Buttercup cried as she laid her head down.

"Shit." Mercury quietly swore as she peered into the shaft, she'd never fit inside to get Buttercup, but she did have one idea. "Hold on sweetie, I have an idea." Mercury whispered as she fired a line from one of her guns, then grabbed the end of it and tossed it into the shaft. "Buttercup, do you see a cable with a little grappling hook attached to it?" Mercury quietly asked in the same calm tone.

"Y-yeah." Buttercup answered as she slowly reached for it.

"Grab it and hold on tight, I'm gonna get you out of there." Mercury instructed as she placed her finger on her bottom most trigger.

"Got it." Buttercup groaned as she forced herself to move another few inches.

"Good, now hold on sweetie. I'm getting you out." Mercury quietly said as she slowly reeled her line in, pulling Buttercup along with it. "Got you. It's okay Buttercup, you're safe now." Mercury quietly said as she held Buttercup in one arm and lowered the two of them to the ground with the other. "I've got you, just hold on." Mercury instructed as she snuck over to a ditch and laid in it. The machine slowly walked by, and Mercury held her breath as she waited to see if anyone inside would notice her and Buttercup in the ditch. Thankfully though, it passed them without any issues. "We're clear. Come on, let's get out of here." Mercury said as she picked Buttercup up and ran her over by Blossom and Bubbles.

"Buttercup!" They both yelled as they each blasted over by Mercury and hugged Buttercup. "Thank you Ami, thank you so much!" Blossom cried as clung to Buttercup.

"Thank you Ami, you saved Buttercup's life! You're the bestest person in the whole world!" Bubbles cried as she hugged Mercury and Buttercup.

"I was just doing my job girls, now come on, we need to get out of here." Mercury ordered as she let down her transformation.

"Where are we gonna go?" Blossom asked as she flew alongside Ami.

"I don't know. I don't know if we should go back to your house or your school, or somewhere else entirely." Ami answered as she ran down the side walk with the girls.

"I-I need to...go to the hospital." Buttercup cried as she clutched her ribs.

"What did they do to you Buttercup?" Blossom asked in an angry tone.

"After I left school, I was headed to the derby rink, but then this shadow came out of nowhere and slammed me against a wall. Then it tossed me around like a rag doll, I think I blacked out. The next thing I knew I was in that machine and Mojo was there. He looked scared, I thought it was me at first because of what happened with the whole tooth thing. But then there was a voice I didn't recognize, it was giving Mojo orders. It wanted chemical x, but I don't know what for. He obeyed like his life depended on it, I'd never seen him so scared. Whatever was controlling Mojo, it was something we've never fought before." Buttercup groaned as she continued to clutch her aching ribs.

"Maybe it was Him and he disguised his voice or something, he always was crafty like that." Blossom suggested as she looked down at Buttercup.

"I don't...I don't think so. This thing, it w-wasn't like Him. Its a-attitude was...too evil. It ordered M-Mojo t...t-to kill...me." Buttercup explained through her agony, being barely able to finish her sentence.

"We'll worry about whatever it was later, but for now we need to get you to the hospital." Ami quietly said as she continued running.

"Wait! I just remembered, that's where they were headed in the first place! We need to stop them before they hurt all those people in it!" Blossom yelled as she prepared to fly at her top speed to the hospital.

"It's not going there Blossom, it threatened the hospital as a way to lure you all out. Whoever they were they got what they wanted and they bugged out back to wherever they're hiding. We'll deal with it later, but right now we need to get Buttercup treated, she was already injured and now this happened. Her health is our top priority right now." Ami informed as she continued running towards the hospital. "Where do we go from here girls, I don't really know my way around your city?" Ami asked as she cradled Buttercup in her arms.

"Bubbles, lead the way. Sorry about this Ami, but we don't have time go at this pace." Blossom said in a firm tone as she swept Ami off her feet and into her arms.

"Follow me!" Bubbles shouted as she dashed off in her typical blue streak.

"Hold onto Buttercup Ami, I've got you." Blossom instructed as she sped after Bubbles.

"How are you doing Buttercup?" Ami quietly asked as she gently ran her hand over Buttercup's forehead.

"Everything...hurts." Buttercup cried with a shaky breath.

"Just hang in there baby, you're being so brave and strong right now." Ami quietly said as she held Buttercup against her chest.

"I...want Ms. Bellum." Buttercup said with a sniffle and a few tears.

"I'll ask the doctors or someone if they can call her for you. Just try and rest for now though, okay." Ami quietly said with a small frown.

"Y-yes...Ami mommy." Buttercup quietly said as she passed out.

"How much further?!" Ami yelled as she looked down at Blossom.

"It's just up ahead! How's Buttercup?!" Blossom asked as she sped towards the hospital.

"She's unconscious, we need to hurry! She could have serious internal damage!" Ami answered in a concerned tone.

"Hold on, we're almost there!" Blossom shouted as she soared towards a large building with a big red cross on the front of it. "There it is!" Blossom informed as she blasted through the front door and straight up to the front desk.

"Oh jeez! You scared me half to death Blossom, is everything alright?" The woman behind the desk asked with a small breath.

"NO! Buttercup's hurt! We need a doctor, get a doctor!" Blossom panicked as she flailed her arms around and pointed at Buttercup.

"I got one!" Bubbles shouted as she came zooming down the hall with a doctor in her arms.

"Could you set me down please, I have patients to attend to?" The doctor asked as Bubbles held him above her head.

"That's why I grabbed you!" Bubbles yelled as she dropped the doctor.

"What do you mean Bubbles, what happened?" The doctor asked as he looked up at Bubbles.

"It's Buttercup, she's covered in boo boos! Do something Mr. Doctor!" Bubbles squealed in a panicked and flustered tone as she pointed at Buttercup.

"What happened to her?" The doctor asked as Ami held Buttercup out to him.

"We don't know, she got upset and ran away from school, then the hotline went off and we went to fight that monster. When we got there Mojo had Buttercup in his machine and he was pressing her against the window. He slammed her head into it and she passed out. We have no idea what happened after she ran away from school. All she said was that a shadow slammed her against a wall and tossed her around until she blacked out. When she woke up she was in Mojo's machine. That's all we know." Blossom explained through her tears as she stared at the doctor. "Please help her Mr. doctor." Blossom begged as she looked at Buttercup.

"We'll take good care of her, I'll have someone call your dad for you while we take your sister and have her examined." The doctor informed in a calm tone as he started carrying Buttercup away.

"We're not leaving her, we're coming with." Ami informed as she took a step forward.

"Very well, follow me." The doctor instructed as he lead everyone down a brightly lit hallway towards an elevator.

"A-Ami." Buttercup quietly said as she reached her hand out towards Ami.

"I'm here, it's okay Buttercup. These people are gonna take good care of you." Ami quietly said as she gently took Buttercup's extended hand in her own.

"Call...Ms. Bellum and...the pro...professor." Buttercup quietly gasped as she let her hand slip from Ami's grasp.

"Blossom, Bubbles, stay with your sister. I'm gonna go and ask someone to call your dad and this Ms. Bellum, whoever she is." Ami informed as she walked back the way she'd came. "Excuse ma'am, but could you do me a favor?" Ami asked as she approached the front desk.

"Of course ma'am, how can I help you?" The woman asked with a friendly smile as she looked up from her computer.

"Could you please call Mr. Utonium and a Ms. Bellum as well? Buttercup's asking for them." Ami asked with a straight face as she stared at the woman.

"We don't have Mr. Utonium's number on file, nor do we have Ms. Bellum's direct contact info. Though I can tell you where to find her if you'd like." The woman replied with a small smile.

"That's fine, just please hurry. Buttercup's miserable and she needs some comfort." Ami quietly said with a small frown as she looked down at the counter.

"Alright. If you take a left out the front door you'll see a big building that kind of resembles the capital building in D.C, that's the mayor's office. Head there and ask for Ms. Bellum." The woman instructed in a friendly tone.

"Thank you ma'am, I'll be back shortly I hope." Ami informed as she dashed out the front door, then took to the sky with her ODM rig. Within minutes Ami had made it to the building the woman had described. Though it was much smaller than the actual capital building, containing only one flight of steps, it was still an impressive structure. It was solid white with a single American flag flowing freely atop it. "Gotta find Ms. Bellum." Ami said to herself as she stormed up the steps and into the building. "Hello?! Is anyone in here, I need to find someone fast!" Ami yelled as she ran down a beautifully decorated marble hallway towards a single door at the very back of the building. "Excuse me, I'm sorry for bursting in like this, but I need to find someone quick." Ami informed as she burst through the door into the Mayors office. It was dully colored with tan, almost brownish walls, it had a small wooden desk in the center towards the back wall and a black couch to the right just in front of a large window.

"Oh! An intruder! Quick Ms. Bellum, call the powerpuff girls!" A short older man with a white mustache yelled as he jumped up from his desk. Ami knew right away that this man was the mayor, mainly because he was wearing a sash across his chest that said mayor. He was about the height of the puffs and he was wearing beige pants and a purple coat with tassels hanging off the back of it, as well as a black top hat and a monocle on his left eye.

"I'm on it Mr. Mayor." A tall woman replied as she started heading for a clown phone like the one the girl's always used. She was a taller woman, maybe about Mako's height. She was wearing red heals, a tight red dress with a black belt around her waist, and she had very puffy, long, and curly orange hair. Her face though was, even for someone with a vocabulary as vast as Ami's, completely indescribable.

"Wait! I'm not a threat, I'm here on behalf of the girls! I'm a friend of theirs. My name's Ami Mizuno, something terrible's happened! Buttercup's hurt and she's asking for you Ms. Bellum, please, you need to go to her. She's scared and she's in pain, she needs you." Ami quickly explained as she stared at Ms. Bellum.

"Someone hurt Buttercup! Oh it's the end of the world, if Buttercup can't beat it then we're all doomed! Quick Ms. Bellum, grab the pickles and get to the bunker!" The mayor shouted as he grabbed a jar of pickles off his desk.

"We don't have a bunker Mr. Mayor." Ms. Bellum calmly said as she stared at the mayor.

"Oh yeah. So who did you say you were again?" The mayor asked with a confused expression. Ami almost blew a fuse, to say this man was a few sandwiches shy of a picnic would be a gross understatement, thankfully Ms. Bellum seemed to have remembered the basket.

"Ami, Ami Mizuno. I need Ms. Bellum to come to the hospital because Buttercup was injured and she wants some comfort. Is that something she can do?" Ami calmly asked as she stared at the mayor.

"Buttercup's injured?! Oh we're all doomed Ms. Bellum! It's over for Townsville!" The mayor yelled as he hugged Ms. Bellum's legs.

"It'll be fine Mr. Mayor, let's just go see how she's doing. Ami didn't say how bad the injuries were, she just said that Buttercup was hurt and that she wanted some comfort. So it can't be all that bad. I'll go start the car." Ms. Bellum calmly informed as she walked towards the door.

"Good call Ms. Bellum, come along stranger in my office." The mayor said as he waved to Ami while shuffling his way out the door. Ami just let out a sigh and shook her head as she followed the two of them down the hall and back towards the main doors. "Alright, so who's the monster that hurt Buttercup?! Let me at 'em! I'll show 'em what happens when you mess with our puffs." The mayor yelled as he held his fists up like a boxer.

"We're not sure, Blossom thought it might've been Him, but Buttercup said the creature was too evil even for Him. So we haven't a clue right now, all we know is that it wanted chemical x for some reason and that it scared even Mojo into obedience." Ami answered with a small frown.

"That's odd, we've never had a creature of that caliber target Townsville before. Could it be some kind of alien?" Ms. Bellum asked as she lead everyone to a large black limousine.

"Possibly, though I have a sickening feeling that it's something else. Something not from this world, and when I say that I don't mean that it's not from earth, I mean that it's not from your universe." Ami explained with a thoughtful expression as everyone got in the car.

"You say that like you're not from here either." Ms. Bellum said in a suspicious tone as she started driving.

'This woman's very intelligent, she caught onto that little detail before I even realized I'd let it slip. No point in hiding it.' Ami quickly thought to herself before addressing Ms. Bellum. "You'd be correct ma'am, Mojo took me from my home universe earlier yesterday. I haven't had a chance to try and find a way back yet with all this stuff going on." Ami explained with a small frown.

"I'm sorry to hear that, do you at least have a place to stay while you try and figure things out?" Ms. Bellum asked in a kind tone.

"Yes ma'am, Mr. Utonium was kind enough to let me stay with him and the girls until I can find a way home." Ami answered with a small smile.

"I'm surprised, John's very protective of the girls normally. You must've made a real impact on them if he was willing to let you stay with them." Ms. Bellum replied as she pulled up to the hospital.

"They definitely seem comfortable around me, especially Buttercup. That poor girl, she's been in so much pain lately, that's probably why her and I bonded so quickly. That's one thing we understand about each other, our pain." Ami quietly said with a frown as she looked down at her lap, quickly shaking her head to clear the memories from it. "How much further ma'am?" Ami asked as she stared out the front window.

"We're here." Ms. Bellum informed as she pulled into a parking space and turned the car off.

"The hospital? Is it time for my flu shot already Ms. Bellum?" The mayor asked as he looked at Ms. Bellum.

"No Mr. Mayor, we're here to see Buttercup." Ms. Bellum answered as she and Ami got out of the car.

"Really? Is it time for her flu shot? Does she not like needles, if so then I totally get why she'd want someone here with her. I don't like needles either." The mayor said with a smile as he shuffled his way towards the front door.

"How do you do this every day, no offense but I wanna wring his neck right now." Ami whispered into Ms. Bellum's ear.

"You get use to it, plus even though he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, he's still a great man with a lot of heart." Ms. Bellum said with a smile as she watched the mayor walk into the hospital.

"He sounds a little like my friend Minako when you describe him like that." Ami chuckled as she and Ms. Bellum walked through the doors.

"You're back, they're on the fourth floor waiting outside of the x-ray office. Buttercup refused treatment until you came back." The woman behind the desk informed as she pointed at the elevator.

"Thank you ma'am." Ami thanked as she lead Ms. Bellum and the mayor onto the elevator.

"I should call John and let him know to come down here." Ms. Bellum said as she pulled out her cellphone, then pressed and held down a button.

"Hello." The professor said in a friendly tone on the other end of the line.

"John, it's Sarah, I need you to come to the hospital please." Ms. Bellum instructed in a soft and gentle tone.

"Why?! What happened, are the girls okay?! What's going on Sarah?!" The professor yelled into his phone as he started running towards his car.

"I'm not sure. All I know is that Buttercup's hurt, but I haven't even seen her yet, we're on our way to her now." Ms. Bellum calmly explained as the elevator came to a stop.

"I'll get in the car now and be there A.S.A.P." The professor replied as he jumped in the car and started it, then hung up the phone.

"You here for Buttercup?" A man asked as everyone walked by a desk.

"Yes sir." Ms. Bellum answered as she looked down at the man.

"Her and the girls are on the chairs over there." The man informed as he pointed at three kiddy chairs in front of a T.V.

"Thank you." Ms. Bellum thanked as she led everyone over to the girls.

"Oh. It hurts." Buttercup groaned as she held her hands over her chest.

"It'll be okay Buttercup, Ami should be back soon with Ms. Bellum." Blossom quietly said as she put an arm around Buttercup's shoulders.

"It hurts to breathe, I wanna be held." Buttercup cried as she took a shallow breath.

"Don't worry Buttercup, Ami mama will be back soon and she'll make sure you feel all better." Bubbles encouraged with a small smile.

"I don't feel good, I'm scared. I've never had an x-ray before, do they hurt?" Buttercup asked with some tears as she looked at Blossom.

"Not at all Buttercup." Ami answered as she came up behind the girls.

"Ami!" All three of them yelled with joy as they turned around and looked at her.

"I'm here girls, it's okay." Ami quietly said as she kneeled down by all of them.

"I'm scared Ami, it hurts a lot." Buttercup cried as she clung to Ami.

"I know baby, but just stay strong. They're gonna take some pictures with a big fancy machine and then they might put some bandage wrap on you and give you some medicine to help with the pain. It shouldn't hurt much and it shouldn't take too long either." Ami informed with a smile as she wiped Buttercup's tears away.

"Promise?" Buttercup asked with a sniffle.

"I promise." Ami replied as she patted Buttercup's head.

"What happened to you Buttercup?" Ms. Bellum asked as she kneeled down in front of Buttercup.

"I got beat up by a bunch of villains." Buttercup answered with a small frown.

"How?" Ms. Bellum asked in a sad tone as she stared at Buttercup.

"Don't know, wrong place at the wrong time I guess." Buttercup lied with a sniffle.

"That's not true Ms. Bellum, don't protect us Buttercup. We did this, this is all our fault!" Blossom yelled as she started crying.

"Buttercup got all beat up because we lured her into a trap! We just wanted to make her stop stealing teeth, but we should've just told the professor what she was doing instead of punishing her ourselves! We're bad sisters!" Bubbles loudly cried, instantly catching the attention of every other person in the waiting room.

"We're the worst sisters in the world!" Blossom cried in the same loud and pained tone.

"That's not true girls, even if you did make a mistake, a really bad one. You're still great sisters, you stayed with Buttercup when you found out how hurt she was, and you even feel bad about it. Plus you were willing to do anything to save her today, you would've taken her place in a heartbeat. You gave Mojo the chemical x recipe without a seconds hesitation because you thought it would save her, you're wonderful sisters who made a mistake. We all make mistakes though, even I do, and I'm an adult with a genius IQ. It's part of growing up, heck, it's part of life." Ami said with a smile as she hugged Blossom and Bubbles.

"Really?" Bubbles asked with a sniffle as she stared at Ami.

"Really. Now you all relax while we wait for the professor." Ami said with a smile as she tousled Bubble's hair, making her giggle slightly. "I always giggle like that when people tousle my hair as well." Ami chuckled as she sat down between Bubbles and Buttercup.

"I hope the professor gets here soon, and I really hope he's not mad about me stealing his chemical x recipe." Blossom quietly said as she looked down at the floor.

"All he's gonna care about is that you and your sisters are safe, the rest we'll deal with later. Okay." Ami said with a smile as she put a hand on Blossom's shoulder.

"Thanks Ami." Blossom thanked with a smile as she looked up at Ami.

"You're welcome sweetie." Ami replied as she put her other arm around Bubbles and Buttercup.

"Girls?! Girls?!" The professor shouted as he burst into the waiting room and looked around.

"Professor!" They all yelled with smiles as they waved to him.

"Oh girls, thank goodness! What happened, what's going on?! I heard Buttercup was hurt, is this the old injury or is it new?!" The professor asked in a panicked tone as he stared at all of them.

"We don't know yet, we're waiting to get her x-rayed." Ami answered with a small frown.

"Thank you for bringing her here and having Ms. Bellum contact me Ami. That was very sensible of you." The professor thanked as he sat down next to Ami.

"Hello John." Ms. Bellum greeted as she looked at the professor.

"Hello Sarah, thanks for coming." The professor thanked with a smile.

"Any time John, the girls mean everything to me and I'm always here for them." Ms. Bellum replied as she looked over at the girls and smiled.

"Buttercup!" A woman yelled as she walked into the waiting room.

"Here!" Ami yelled as she carefully picked Buttercup up.

"I can take her Ami." The professor said with a smile as he reached for Buttercup.

"No, I want Ami mommy to take me." Buttercup quietly said as she clung to Ami.

"Ami mommy?" The professor asked with a confused expression.

"Mhm." Buttercup answered with a small nod.

"I think your dad wants to be with you Buttercup, you should let him take you." Ami quietly said with a smile as she looked at the professor.

"No, it's alright. I wouldn't choose me over you right now if I were her either, you've really been there for her Ami. It's no wonder she sees you as a mother figure. Go ahead, we'll be waiting right here for the two of you." The professor calmly informed as he sat back down.

"Are you sure professor?" Ami asked with a small frown.

"Yes, Buttercup's comfort is what's important right now. If she finds it in you then you're the one who should go with her." The professor answered with a smile.

"Alright, I'll let you know what happens and ask if you can come see for yourself once it's all done." Ami replied as she carried Buttercup over to the woman who'd called her name.

"Hi there little lady. My names Cathrin, and I'm gonna be assisting the technician with your x-rays today." The nurse informed with a smile as she walked with Ami though the doors.

"Okay." Buttercup replied as she cuddled up to Ami.

"So what happened sweetheart, did you get an owie?" Cathrin asked as she led Ami and Buttercup into a large room with a big machine hanging from the wall.

"Yeah." Buttercup answered with a small pout.

"Where?" Cathrin asked as she looked at Buttercup.

"Everywhere, a bunch of bad guys beat me up." Buttercup answered with a sniffle.

"What? Oh that's terrible, I'm so sorry. Did they hurt you bad?" Cathrin asked as she stared at Buttercup.

"Yeah." Buttercup quietly answered with a few tears.

"Can you show me?" Cathrin asked with a small frown.

"Okay." Buttercup quietly replied as she lifted her shirt. Cathrin gasped at the sight of Buttercup's many bruises, she was shocked beyond words.

"You'll find that the bruising is consistent with blunt force trauma. The majority of the injuries suffered were in the sternal and abdominal regions, though there are bruises that loop around both sides and spread out onto and around the back, but this one on her chest is by far the worst." Ami explained as she held Buttercup up and gently turned her around.

"Oh you poor thing, that looks so painful. Don't worry, we're gonna take some x-rays, give you something for the pain, then send you home to rest. Okay?" Cathrin explained and asked with a smile.

"Okay." Buttercup answered as Ami gently laid her on the examination table.

"Okay Buttercup, the nurse and I are gonna be right behind that wall there. The technician will come in, flash some pictures, then we'll go from there. Okay?" Ami explained and asked with a smile.

"Okay." Buttercup replied as she rested on the table.

"Alright, so who do we have here. Buttercup the powerpuff? I'm a little surprised to see a puff in here, but don't you worry, we're gonna get you all fixed up little lady." The technician said with a smile as she walked into the room and grabbed a chart from the nurse.

"Yep, Ami told me already." Buttercup replied with a smile.

"That's good. So let me take a look at your chart real quick just to get some background info about this visit." The technician said as she flipped through the chart. "Sounds like you've had it rough kiddo, but we're gonna get you all taken care of." The technician informed as she grabbed a weighted blanket and walked over to Buttercup. "I'm just gonna drape this over your legs to minimize the radiation exposure to your body. Then we'll take some pictures and send you off to the doctor." The technician explained as she draped the blanket over Buttercup's legs and pelvis. "There we go, now we'll take some pics and get you out of here to see the doctor." The technician informed as she stepped behind the wall and started the machine. The machine started up with a loud whiring sound, which made Buttercup jump a bit.

"Ami I'm scared, I don't like all the noise." Buttercup said with some tears as she looked over at Ami.

"It's okay Buttercup, that's normal, it's just the machine powering up. Just stay still and try to relax, the more still you are the faster it'll be over with. You're doing great Buttercup, keep it up." Ami encouraged with a smile.

"Okay." Buttercup quietly replied as she stared sat the ceiling and tried her best to stay still.

"Very good Buttercup, you did great sweetie. We're all done, now we'll take you to see the doctor and he or she will look over your x-ray pictures." The technician informed as she turned the machine off.

"It's over?" Buttercup asked with a small smile.

"Yes it is, and you were a very brave little girl. Now your friend can come and get you and take you back out by your sisters and daddy." The technician answered with a smile as she messed around with a few more things.

"I'm so proud of you Buttercup, you did such a great job and you were so brave." Ami said with a smile as she ran over to Buttercup and gently picked her up.

"Thanks Ami." Buttercup said with a smile as she snuggled against Ami.

"Now let's go see your daddy, and then the doctor will show us a picture of all your boo boos and tell us how to fix them." Ami informed as she carried Buttercup over by the technician.

"You can follow me out." The technician informed as she lead Ami and Buttercup out of the room and back into the waiting room.

"How is she?" The professor asked as Ami carried Buttercup over to him.

"The doctor will go over her x-rays with you once he or she have had a chance to look them over. In the mean time you can follow that young man by the door to a room." The technician answered as she pointed to a man in a pair of scrubs.

"Thank you." The professor thanked as he and everyone else walked over by the man.

"This way please." The man instructed as he lead them all down a brightly lit hallway, stopping at a basic wood colored door. "Just have a seat inside and the doctor should be in shortly to go over the x-rays with you." The man informed as he opened the door, revealing a pretty basic doctors office set up.

"Thank you sir." Ami thanked as she walked into a room, then sat down on a chair and set Buttercup on her lap.

"You're welcome Ms." The man replied as he closed the door.

"I'm afraid to see what those pictures look like, if they're anywhere near as bad as those bruises then it could be a disaster." The professor said in sorrowful tone as he held his head in his hands.

"I'm sure it's gonna be okay professor." Ami said with a smile in an encouraging tone.

"Are you nuts? Did you see those bruises on her, if that's what the outside looks like then god only knows what the inside looks like! She could be broken to pieces, she may never heal! Oh god, I can't believe I let this happen! My baby's all beat up and she may never heal!" The professor panicked as he stared at Buttercup.

"I doubt it'll be that bad professor, otherwise she wouldn't be moving around like she is." Ami calmly replied as she patted Buttercup's head.

"What would you know about it?! She's just a kid, she could've suffered some kind of serious long term damage to her organs or anything else! She may never recover, it could affect her for the rest of her life! My poor little girl!" The professor yelled as he started panicking even more.

"Is that true Ami, am I gonna be broken forever?!" Buttercup asked as she started crying.

"No sweetie, just try and calm down. Here, Ms. Bellum will make you feel better." Ami said with a smile as she set Buttercup on Ms. Bellum's lap, then walked over by the professor and grabbed his arm before forcefully dragging him out of the room.

"Let me go! I have to be in there with my child! She's scared and hurting, I need to be in there!" The professor yelled as Ami dragged him out of the room, then closed the door behind her. "What is wrong with you, I need to be with my daughter! She's hurting and scared and..." The professor started saying, until Ami forcefully slapped him across the face.

"You need to get a grip professor! This panicking is only making it that much harder for Buttercup, pull your head out of your rear, take a breath, and calm down. If you keep panicking then she's gonna start panicking, as are Blossom and Bubbles. You need to calm down, I know this is hard for you, but acting like this isn't gonna help anyone, it's only gonna make everything worse. Now get a grip, get back in there, and be the rock they need. Understand?" Ami instructed as she took a step back from the professor.

"Yeah. I'm sorry, you're absolutely right Ami. I'm the adult, their father. I need to keep my cool and act like everything's gonna be fine, wether it is or isn't. Thanks Ami." The professor thanked as he took a deep breath and slowly let it out.

"Any time, now let's go back in there." Ami said with a smile as she lead the professor back into the room. "Sorry about that girls, we just needed to have a little chat." Ami said with a smile as she and the professor walked back into the room.

"I don't wanna be broken! Am I gonna be broken like this forever Ms. Bellum?! What if Maylyn won't let me play with her and the team anymore because I'm too broken?! I don't wanna give up roller derby or crime fighting because I'm all broken and never gonna get better!" Buttercup cried as she clung to Ms. Bellum.

"Nice John, real nice work." Ms. Bellum said in a sarcastic tone as she tried to comfort Buttercup.

"Hey hey, don't worry Buttercup. Everything's gonna be fine, it's not that bad. I'm sure you'll be playing derby and crime fighting again in no time." Ami calmly said as she kneeled in front of Ms. Bellum and hugged Buttercup.

"B-but the professor said I might not recover. I'm gonna be broken forever!" Buttercup cried as she buried her face in Ms. Bellum's chest.

"That's not true Buttercup. Take it from me, I've broken so many bones and knocked on death's door so many times that he and I might as well be neighbors chained at the hip. But I'm still here, and I'm physically fine, and a tough puff like you is gonna be just fine as well." Ami said with a smile as she lightly patted Buttercup's shoulder.

"Were you ever hurt this badly?" Buttercup asked with a sniffle.

"Worse. I've been shot, beaten, burned, struck with blunt objects, impaled, electrocuted, buried alive, and I've almost drowned at least twice. I've broken almost every bone in my body at least once and you can't even tell unless I'm shirtless. If I can come back from all that and be the way I am right now, then I know a tough little powerpuff girl like you has nothing to worry about." Ami said with a smile as she patted Buttercup's head.

"Oh my god, is there anything that hasn't happened to you Ami?" Blossom asked as she and everyone else stared at Ami with shocked expressions.

"I haven't been eaten yet, though I did have a close call or two with the titans." Ami chuckled to herself. "Point is, you're gonna be just fine Buttercup, and that's a promise." Ami said with a smile as she tousled Buttercup's hair.

"Good evening folks, how are we all doing apart from this tough little lady?" A man asked with a smile as he walked into the room. He was a slightly older man, dressed like any other doctor would be. He had a black stethoscope hung around his neck and a pair of oval glasses resting on his nose.

"Alright, just worried about Buttercup." The professor answered as he gently rubbed Buttercup's back.

"Well I looked over the x-rays and while they're not great, it could be a lot worse based on what the nurse said about how Buttercup got these injuries. So I'll put them up on the board here and walk you through what I found." The doctor informed as he set two black sheets of film on a large smooth white board, then turned the board's light on. "Alright, so good news is that we didn't find any kind of spinal injury or deformation which is always good, the ribs however are pretty beat up. If you look at these upper ribs on both the left and right side you'll see that they're clearly broken, the bottom few are bruised but not actually broken. Next if you'll look at this bone in the center of her chest, this is the sternum. There are multiple cracks at various locations on it, definitely consistent with someone or something repeatedly striking the area. Finally, if we look at the skull there are clear signs of trauma to it. She has a crack in the frontal bone here, then the back of the left parietal bone is partially cracked, which is the bone on the top of the skull, and she has signs of trauma to the occipital bone, this bottom one in the back here." The doctor explained as he pointed out each of Buttercup's injuries.

"Oh Buttercup, you must be in so much pain baby. Why didn't you say something to me, it doesn't matter how mad I am at you or if you've done something wrong, I'd never want you to suffer like this? Oh you poor baby." The professor cried as he gently hugged Buttercup.

"So what do we do from here? Can you give her anything for the pain or to speed up her recovery?" Ami asked as she stared at the doctor.

"Honestly, not much. We can wrap the injuries to prevent the bones from shifting around too much as they heal and then give her some pills for the pain if she needs, other than that though I'm afraid it's just gonna be a matter of how long it takes her body to heal on it's own." The doctor answered with a straight face.

"Alright, I'd recommend the pain killers for at least a few days, but it's ultimately up to the professor to decide what if anything Buttercup should be given." Ami replied as she looked at the professor.

"I agree with Ami, please prescribe her some pain medication doctor." The professor instructed with a small frown.

"Alright, I'll give you a ten day supply of oxycodone. Use it only as directed on the bottle, I'm giving her the lowest dose of five micrograms right now, but if it doesn't help I can up the grams if need be. Sound good?" The doctor asked as he wrote out a prescription slip and handed it to the professor.

"Yes, thank you doctor." The professor thanked as he took the slip from him.

"You're welcome. Now I'd like to ask everyone but Buttercup's father to step out of the room please so I can put some bandage wrap on her wounds." The doctor instructed as he dug some gauze wrap out of drawer.

"I want Ami to stay with me to." Buttercup quietly said as she looked at Ami.

"That's fine sweetie." The professor said with a smile as he looked over at Ami.

"We'll take the girls out into the waiting room for now." Ms. Bellum said as she stood up and lead the girls and mayor out of the room.

"Alright, let's get your shirt off and then we'll wrap you up like a little mummy and send you on your way." The doctor said with a smile as Ami slowly started taking Buttercup's shirt off.

"Is it gonna hurt?" Buttercup asked with a frown as she looked at Ami.

"Maybe a little, but it'll help in the long run. You just hold your daddy's hand and the doctor will get it all over with nice and quickly." Ami said with a smile as she gently rubbed Buttercup's back.

"Okay. But can I hold your hand to?" Buttercup asked with a small pout.

"Of course you can sweetie." Ami answered as she gently grabbed Buttercup's hand and lightly squeezed it.

"Alright, let's get this done with so you can go get your prescription and rest." The doctor said with a smile as he carefully wrapped Buttercup's chest with gauze. "All done, that wasn't so bad was it?" The doctor asked with a smile as he put Buttercup's shirt back on.

"No." Buttercup answered with a small smile.

"Now you get to go and pick up your pills and go home to rest." The doctor informed as he walked over to the door.

"Can we get food?" Buttercup asked with a small smile.

"Of course we can Buttercup, you were so brave today that you can get whatever you want sweetie." The professor said with a smile as he gently picked Buttercup up.

"I want ice cream and a cheeseburger." Buttercup said with a small smile as she cuddled against the professor.

"Then that's what you'll get, now let's go get your pills and then we'll go eat." The professor informed with a smile as he walked out of the room, followed by Ami and the doctor.

"You did so good in there Buttercup, your daddy and I are so proud of you sweetie." Ami said with a smile as she walked alongside the professor.

"Guess who's all ready to go home." The professor said with a smile as he walked into the waiting room.

"That's good. How are you feeling Buttercup?" Ms. Bellum asked with a small smile as the professor walked over to her.

"I'd be lying if I said I'd felt worse before." Buttercup answered with a sad expression.

"Oh Buttercup, you poor sweet girl. Why didn't you tell someone you were in so much pain?" Ms. Bellum asked as she gently hugged Buttercup and the professor.

"I was scared. I thought they'd get mad at me or say I was lying or something. Everybody was so upset with me after what happened with the tooth incident." Buttercup quietly cried as she held her arms out to Ms. Bellum.

"We could never be mad enough at you to want you to be in this much pain. We're sorry Buttercup, this is all our fault, we should've just told the professor what you'd done instead of punishing you ourselves." Bubbles cried as she flew over by Buttercup and hugged her.

"We're so sorry Buttercup, we were so mean to you. We're such bad sisters." Blossom cried as she did the same thing.

"It's alright, I shouldn't've done what I did. You were right to do that, I deserved it for being so greedy." Buttercup quietly said with a sniffle.

"No you didn't Buttercup. It was my fault, I should've taught you the true value of money once you first started getting it. They say that money's the root of all evil, and it really is unless you know its true worth. Sure it can buy you cool things that make you happy, but at the end of the day it's just green paper. It's not something to throw away your values for, the best use for money is using it to help others, that way you keep your morals in tact and you still get to spend your money. That's money's true value, using it for good and the prosperity of not only yourself, but for the prosperity of the people you care about as well." The professor said with a smile as he hugged Buttercup.

"Like if I bought Bubbles a stuffed animal for her birthday or if I bought Blossom a new chemistry set?" Buttercup asked with a small smile as she stared at the professor.

"Exactly. It's okay to buy things for yourself as well, just remember not to get so focused on getting money that you'd be willing to throw away what makes you such a good little girl." The professor said with a small smile as he squeezed Buttercup a little tighter.

"Stop. Stop!" Buttercup yelled as she pushed away from the professor.

"Mr. Utonium, you're crushing her!" Ami yelled as she watched Buttercup squirm a little bit.

"Right, broken bones. Sorry." The professor apologized as he loosened his grip on Buttercup. "Alright girls, let's go get Buttercup's prescription and then we'll go get some dinner." The professor said with a smile as he started carrying Buttercup out of the waiting room.

"Are you gonna come with Ms. Bellum?" Bubbles asked in a hopeful tone as she floated over by Ms. Bellum.

"I'm afraid not girls, the mayor and I have some things to do back at city hall." Ms. Bellum answered as she looked down at the mayor.

"But I want a kiddy meal!" The mayor yelled as he practically started having a baby fit.

"Not until you finish drafting the bill for the new park. Now come along Mr. Mayor, we have things to do." Ms. Bellum instructed as she casually walked out of the room.

"I don't like homework." The mayor mumbled as he followed Ms. Bellum.

"Bye Mr. Mayor, bye Ms. Bellum! It was nice to meet you both!" Ami yelled as she waved goodbye to the mayor and Ms. Bellum.

"Let's get going girls, because I'm sure you all have rumbly tumblies." The professor giggled as he gently poked Buttercup's stomach.

"I want ice cream and a cheeseburger." Buttercup said with a smile as she looked up at the professor.

"I want chicken nuggets and a cone!" Bubbles squealed with excitement.

"I want a cheeseburger and a cone as well!" Blossom yelled with joy.

"Alright girls, you can get those things if you'd like." The professor said with a smile as he looked behind him at Ami. "What about you Ami, would you like anything to eat?" The professor asked with a smile.

"Oh, um, yes please. I just don't know what." Ami answered as she walked up alongside the professor.

"They don't have many options at the place we're going, you can take a peek at the menu once we get there." The professor informed as he lead everyone onto the elevator.

"Thank you professor." Ami thanked as the elevator doors closed and it started descending. "Oh, but first we need to remember to grab Buttercup's pills. She might wanna take one with her meal if she's still in a lot of pain." Ami reminded as she looked at the professor.

"That's right, thank you for reminding me." The professor thanked as the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened.

"No problem professor." Ami replied as she followed the professor off the elevator.

"Let's go girls, we'll grab your sister's pills and then we'll go get something to eat." The professor informed with a smile as he lead everyone off the elevator.

"You all have a nice day now, and feel better soon little lady." The woman behind the front desk said with a smile as she watched everyone walk towards the door.

"Thank you, and you have a nice day as well." The professor replied as everyone walked out the door. "Alright, now let's go get your prescription and get some food in you girls." The professor said with a smile as he walked over to his car and opened it up.

"Buckle up girls." Ami instructed as she helped buckle Buttercup in, then checked on Blossom and Bubbles.

"Yes Ami mommy." All three girls answered with smiles as they double checked their seatbelts.

"You girls really like that nickname for Ami, don't you?" The professor asked as Ami got in the passenger seat next to him.

"Yeah, she's the bestest mommy ever. She's super nice and pretty, and she helped Buttercup feel better." Bubbles giggled with a smile.

"Oh, you girls are so sweet. But that's not surprising since you're all twenty-five percent sugar." Ami giggled as she looked back at the girls.

"That's a good one Ami." Blossom chuckled in response.

"How are you feeling Buttercup, are you comfortable?" Ami asked with a smile as she looked at Buttercup.

"My seatbelt hurts a little, but I'm okay." Buttercup answered as she tugged at her seatbelt.

"I know, but you need to wear it so you'll be safe if we get in an accident." Ami explained with a sad smile as she stared at Buttercup.

"Don't worry Ami, I can take it. I'm really tough." Buttercup grinned as she flexed her arm at Ami.

"You remind me so much of Mako. You both even have the same colored outfit for the most part." Ami chuckled as she turned around and stared out the front window. "I wonder how she's doing, she was so scared when that beam hit me. I know it didn't hit her at all because I pushed her out of the way, I really miss her. Especially with Christmas around the corner." Ami said with a sad sigh as she continued staring out the window.

"It's Christmas in your universe?" Blossom quietly asked as she stared at Ami.

"Almost, it was December twentieth when Mojo's beam pulled me out of my home. So assuming time moves the same way in your universe as it does in mine then it's currently the twenty-first back home. I have three days to find a way home or I'll miss Kaede and Sarah's arrival." Ami quietly said with a small frown.

"Who are Kaede and Sarah?" Bubbles quietly asked as she stared at Ami.

"Friends of mine, they're flying to Japan all the way from Texas. I really wanna be there when they arrive, at this rate though, I'll be happy just to get home by Christmas." Ami quietly explained with a few tears. "Sorry girls, I don't mean to be emotional. I just miss my family a bit, I'm glad that I at least have all of you to keep me company." Ami said with a sniffle and a small smile.

"Don't worry Ami, I'm sure you'll make it back before Christmas." Blossom said in an encouraging tone as she placed her hand over Ami's.

"Yeah Ami, we'll help you get home so that you're not sad." Bubbles added with a sweet smile.

"Thanks girls, you're the best things I ever could've asked for in life. So sweet and caring, not to mention adorable." Ami replied with a smile as she wiped her tears away.

"We're glad to have you to Ami mommy." Bubbles replied as the car came to a stop.

"Alright girls, I'm gonna run in and grab Buttercup's medicine, so you all wait here with Ami okay." The professor informed as he turned the car off and got out of it.

"Okay." All three of them replied with smiles. The professor closed the door then walked into the pharmacy. "Let's play a game while we wait for the professor to come back." Bubbles suggested with a giggle.

"Yeah, let's play I spy." Blossom suggested with enthusiasm.

"Yay!" Bubbles cheered as she waved her hands around in excitement.

"You go first Buttercup." Blossom instructed with a smile.

"Alright. I spy with my little eye something blue." Buttercup said as she looked around the car.

"Is it Ami's pretty outfit?" Bubbles asked with a smile.

"Nope, try again." Buttercup answered with a grin.

"Is it Bubble's outfit?" Blossom asked as she pointed at Bubbles.

"Yep. Your turn Bloss." Buttercup said with a smile as she looked at Blossom.

"Okay, I spy with my little eye something black." Blossom said with a smirk as she stared at Buttercup.

"The stripes on my outfit?" Buttercup asked with a grin.

"Nope." Blossom replied with a smug grin.

"Buttercup's hair?" Bubbles asked as she pointed at Buttercup's hair.

"Yep! Your turn Bubbles." Blossom answered with a smile.

"Yay! Okay, I spy with my little eye something brown." Bubbles informed with a smile.

"Is it the steering wheel?" Blossom asked with a smile.

"Nope!" Bubbles replied with a giggle.

"That penny on the floor?" Ami asked with a smile.

"Yeah! You're good at this Ami." Bubbles chuckled as she hugged Ami.

"Your turn Ami." Blossom said with a smile as they all looked at Ami.

"Okay, I spy with my little eye..." Ami paused as she looked around a bit. "Something white." Ami said with a grin.

"Something white?" Blossom asked as she looked around the car.

"The lint in the rug?" Bubbles asked as she pointed at the rug.

"Nope." Ami chuckled to herself.

"Our socks?" Blossom asked as she held her foot up.

"Try again." Ami replied with a giggle.

"Our eyes?" Buttercup asked with a smile.

"Good guess, but no. It's..." Ami started saying, until the door opened and the professor sat down in his seat.

"Professor!" The girls yelled with joy.

"That's right! Good job girls." Ami said with a smile as she turned around and put her seatbelt back on.

"What's going on?" The professor asked as he put Buttercup's medicine in the glove box.

"We were playing eye spy and Ami spied you." Blossom explained with a smile.

"That sounds like fun, guess it's my turn. I spy with my little eye something made of brick." The professor said as he started driving.

"The macdanyalds!" The girls all yelled with smiles as they pulled up to the restaurant.

"That's right girls, now let's go get something to eat. Oh and Buttercup, I'm gonna give you one of your pills with your food. You have to take these with food otherwise they'll make your tummy feel yucky." The professor informed as he pulled into the parking lot and parked the car.

"Yes professor." Buttercup replied with a small frown.

"Alright girls, let's go get some dinner." The professor said with a smile as he turned the car off and got out of it.

"Yay!" They all yelled in unison as they got out of the car.

"You want a lift Buttercup?" Ami asked with a smile as she looked down at Buttercup.

"No thank you Ami." Buttercup answered as she walked alongside Ami.

"Alright." Ami replied as she held Buttercup's hand as they crossed the parking lot.

"Professor! Can we go play in the play area?! Pretty please!" Bubbles asked as she floated in front of the professor.

"I don't know girls, that wouldn't really be fair to Buttercup since she can't really play right now with her injuries." The professor answered with a small frown.

"Okay." Bubbles replied with a sad sigh.

"It's okay professor, I don't mind." Buttercup informed with a smile.

"Are you sure Buttercup? We wouldn't want you to feel left out." Blossom asked with a small frown as she stared at Buttercup.

"It's fine, I might just play some video games or sit in the ball pit if it's okay with the professor." Buttercup replied with a smile.

"Alright, but let us know if you want us to hangout with you at all." Blossom instructed as she held the door open for everyone.

"Sure Bloss." Buttercup said with a smile as she walked inside.

"Well let's order real quick and then you girls can go and play." The professor instructed as he lead everyone to a table and sat down.

"These are interesting." Ami said to herself as she stared at a small computer at the table.

"They don't have these in your universe?" Blossom asked as she pushed a few buttons on it.

"Not at any restaurant I've ever been to. How do they work, or what are they I should ask?" Ami asked as she stared at the device.

"It's a computer that you order your food on. You can just sit right at the table and click on the thing you want, customize it with or without whatever you desire, and then you hit the add to cart button. When you're all ready to order you hit pay and you slide a credit card down the slit there, and then they bring your food to the table when it's ready. You don't even have to get up and talk to anyone." Blossom explained with a smile as she put her order in.

"Seems a little lazy and anti social. But if that's the way you do things in your universe then I'll try not to judge." Ami replied as she watched Bubbles and Buttercup type their orders into the machine.

"Here Ami, you can click on these labels to see the different options for the different food they have. Like the burger tab or the salad tab." Bubbles pointed out with a smile.

"Okay." Ami replied as she looked at the options before clicking the burger tab. "Okay, so if I want a cheeseburger with no onions then I click on the cheeseburger tab and then I...do I click on the onions if I want them removed or do I click on everything else?" Ami asked as she stared at the tablet.

"If it has an x in the box then it's gonna be on your burger. So if you don't want something then the box should be blank." Blossom explained with a smile.

"Got it." Ami replied as she clicked on the onion box. "Alright, and now I just click on add to order?" Ami asked as she held her finger over the button.

"Yep!" Bubbles answered with a big smile.

"Alright. That wasn't too bad, it was actually kind of fun." Ami said with a smile as she added her burger to the order.

"Would you like a drink Ami?" The professor asked with a smile as he typed his order into the tablet.

"Yes please, I'll just take a water please." Ami answered with a smile.

"Sure thing." The professor replied as he added a water to the order, then paid for it.

"Wow, this technology is so fascinating. This would be a cool little addition to the crown." Ami said with a smile as she studied the tablet.

"The crown?" Buttercup asked in a confused tone.

"A restaurant back home that my friends and I go to at least once a week normally. It's a cute little diner with an arcade in it, not to mention really good food. I probably put most of my weight on just from eating there." Ami giggled as she thought about the crown. "I wonder if my friends have gone there at all since I left, they have some of the best food in town." Ami said with a small sigh as she looked down at the table.

"I doubt they'd go without you Ami, it wouldn't be the same." Blossom quietly said as she patted Ami's back.

"Thanks Blossom, you're really sweet. You all are." Ami said with a smile as she hugged Blossom.

"You're sweet too Ami mommy." Bubbles said with a smile as she hugged Ami, followed by Buttercup.

"My little puffs." Ami quietly said with a smile as she hugged all three of them back.

"Too much hugging." Buttercup groaned as she lightly squirmed.

"Sorry." Blossom apologized as everyone let go of each other. "Here comes the food!" Blossom yelled with a smile as she pointed at funny looking machine.

"Here are your orders, please enjoy." The machine said in a robotic tone as it rolled up to the table.

"AH! What the heck?!" Ami shouted as she pulled her gun out and pointed it at the machine.

"Ami don't! It's okay, it's a serving bot." Blossom informed as she flew between Ami and the robot.

"Serving bot?" Ami asked as she stared suspiciously at the robot.

"Yeah, it's a little robot that brings your food to you." Bubbles explained as she pointed at the robot. Ami looked towards the robot and examined it. It looked like a smooth blue garbage can on wheels. It had a clear dome top that flipped up and down, and inside the dome was a flat surface where the food was sitting.

"Fascinating." Ami quietly said as she continued to study the robot.

"Please take your order." The robot instructed as the dome slowly opened up.

"Thanks." Blossom thanked with a smile as she and the professor grabbed the food from the dome, then passed it out to everyone.

"Enjoy your meal." The robot said as it turned around and wheeled away.

"I've seen some weird things before, but that was something else for sure." Ami quietly said as she watched the robot drive off.

"Eat up girls." The professor said with a smile as he picked up a fry and ate it.

"Yay! Thank you professor!" All three puffs yelled as they started eating.

"Don't forget your pill Buttercup." Ami reminded with a smile as she took a bite of her burger. "Mm, this is really good. Thank you professor." Ami thanked as she took another bite of her burger.

"You're welcome Ami, and thank you for reminding me about Buttercup's pill." The professor thanked as he dug the bottle out of his pocket. "Here you go sweetie." The professor said with a smile as he shook a large white pill into is hand, then gave it to Buttercup.

"Awe man, it's a horse pill." Buttercup grumbled as she stared at the large pill.

"You know what helps me take medicine like that? First put a little water in your mouth and or dunk the pill in a bit of water, then when you take it it'll be easier to swallow." Ami informed with a smile.

"I'll try." Buttercup replied as she took a sip of water, then popped the pill in her mouth and swallowed it. "That wasn't so bad, thanks Ami." Buttercup thanked as she continued eating.

"No problem Buttercup, now you'll be good for about six hours or so at least. You don't have to take one every six hours if you're not in pain, but you need to wait at least four to six hours between each dose." Ami explained with a smile.

"How'd you know that Ami, I don't remember you reading the bottle at all?" The professor asked with a surprised expression.

"My mom's a doctor, plus I've had to take pain killers like that on more than one occasion. So I'm pretty versed in the dos and don'ts of prescription medication like that." Ami answered as she took a sip of her drink.

"Well I'm glad you're here to help with this because I've never needed to give them anything for pain before." The professor said with a smile as he put the pills away.

"Yeah you have professor, when Bubbles broke her arm she had some medicine she had to take." Blossom reminded with a smile.

"It wasn't something like this though. It was just basic over the counter pain relief like Tylenol, not a hardcore prescription medication." The professor replied with a small frown.

"What's the difference professor?" Bubbles asked as she nibbled on some fries.

"Tylenol is a basic pain reliever that helps to slightly dull the pain receptors in your brain for a short period of time. What Buttercup's taking is essentially the same thing except that it's much more powerful and lasts a lot longer. Think of it like if you get a static shock from rubbing your socks on the carpet, then compare that shock to a bolt of lighting from the sky. They're both made of electricity, one's just has a lot more of it." Ami explained with a smile as she stared at Bubbles.

"So it's kind of like the difference between taking a bite of cake and eating the whole cake?" Blossom asked with a thoughtful expression.

"Exactly, very good Blossom." Ami said with a smile as she patted Blossom's head.

"Ah, brain freeze!" Bubbles squealed as she slurped on her shake. Everyone just giggled at her as they watched her rub her head a little bit.

"So Ami, when are you gonna try and find a way home?" The professor asked with a smile as he took a sip of water. "Sorry, that sounded much ruder than I'd intended it to." The professor apologized with a small frown.

"It's fine professor, I understand what you mean." Ami chuckled as she took a bite of her sandwich. "I'll head back to Mojo's place tomorrow and see what I can dig up, maybe a schematic of his machine or something like that. If I can't find anything I'll just have to ask Mojo if he can remake it for me." Ami answered with a smile.

"What if he says no?" Blossom asked with a small frown.

"Then I'll persuade him to change his mind." Ami replied with a grin.

"How?" Bubbles asked with a curios expression as she nibbled on a chicken nugget.

"With my icy charm." Ami answered with a grin.

"Yuck! You can do so much better than him Ami." Blossom said with a disgusted expression.

"I don't think that's what Ami meant Bloss." Buttercup said with a grin.

"What else could she have meant?" Bubbles asked with a smile.

"Nothing Bubbles." Ami smiled as she patted Bubble's head.

"All done! Can we go play now professor?" Blossom asked with a big smile.

"If Buttercup really doesn't mind you two going without her, then I suppose so." The professor answered as he looked at Buttercup.

"It's fine professor, I'm gonna see if Ami wants to play some of the video games." Buttercup replied as she looked at Ami.

"I'd be happy to play with you." Ami said with a smile as she stood up.

"HOORAY!" All three girls cheered as Blossom and Bubbles dashed off into the play set.

"Come on Ami." Buttercup said with a smile as she carefully got out of her chair.

"Be careful Buttercup." Ami said as she walked next to Buttercup.

"I'm okay, but thanks for worrying Ami." Buttercup thanked as she lead Ami over to an arcade game. "This one's my favorite! Super commando three, jungle warrior!" Buttercup yelled with excitement as she sat down in a chair.

"How do you play?" Ami asked as she sat down next to Buttercup.

"You use this controller and you try and get through the jungle before the bad guys and animals get you." Buttercup answered as she pushed the start button and started playing. "Grab the other controller Ami." Buttercup said as she selected a character from the menu.

"Okay." Ami replied as she grabbed the other controller.

"This guy's my favorite, Mr. Thompson! He's got super awesome abilities that make him unstoppable, like his grenade rain attack." Buttercup said with a grin as she selected her character.

"Would you recommend any other one?" Ami asked as she stared at the screen.

"For two player it's always nice if someone plays as doctor doom, she has an ability that makes a circle of healing for the team. Plus she has a wicked shotgun." Buttercup answered with a grin as she changed the color of her character's outfit.

"Alright." Ami replied as she selected her character. "So now what?" Ami asked as the screen went black.

"Now the violent fun begins." Buttercup said with a grin.

"Are you sure you're old enough for a game like this?" Ami asked as the loading screen popped up.

"Yeah, I fight real bad guys all the time. The professor normally doesn't mind me playing this game when we're here, he doesn't like it when I watch horror movies though. But that's okay, some of them are too gross even for me." Buttercup answered as the game started. "Watch out Ami, the first wave's a heavy one!" Buttercup yelled as she started pushing buttons, making her character shoot and blow things up. "Alright! Did you see that guy go flying off the cliff?!" Buttercup cheered as she continued playing.

"I saw it alright." Ami quietly replied as she stared in horror at the violent game.

"They're ganging up on me Ami, I need healing and backup!" Buttercup yelled as she mashed buttons on her controller.

"Okay, so um, I hit this button?" Ami asked as she pushed a random button. "That's pretty." Ami said to herself as she watched a glowing green beam shoot out of her character's gun towards Buttercup's.

"Just in time Ami, nice job." Buttercup cheered as she continued shooting things. "Take this bad guy!" Buttercup yelled with a grin as she made her character blow a guy up.

"This is so gruesome! I can't believe your father lets you play this." Ami quietly said as she stared at the screen.

"AH! The tank level, I can never get past it." Buttercup grumbled as a large red tank rolled onto the screen. "I'll try the super bomb!" Buttercup yelled with a smile as she hit some buttons and made her character throw a cartoonishly large bomb at the tank. The bomb hit the tank and the blast was so big that it blew the tank up as well as Buttercup and Ami's characters. "Oh man! It got me again." Buttercup grumbled as she watched her characters limbs go flying in every direction.

"H-how can your father...let you play such a...I really don't wanna play anymore Buttercup. Not this game anyways." Ami quietly said as she stared the game over screen, watching as blood oozed down the screen until the whole background was red.

"Oh come on Ami, one more round. Please?" Buttercup asked with a smile as she held the controller out to Ami.

"No! No I don't wanna play this anymore! Please don't make me play again Buttercup, I can't handle it!" Ami cried as she stared down at her now trembling hands.

"What'd you do to Ami Buttercup?" Blossom asked as she and Bubbles dashed out of the play set at the sound of Ami's cries.

"I just asked her to play this game with me." Buttercup answered as she pointed at the game.

"Super commando three? That's the really scary one with all the bad guys." Bubbles squeaked with fear as she hid behind Blossom.

"It's not that bad, even I play it. Why are you so upset Ami, it's just a game?" Blossom asked as she stared at Ami.

"I don't wanna talk about it, you're all too young to know. Don't ever make me play a game like that again girls, I'm begging you." Ami cried as she stared at the three of them.

"Bubbles, go get the professor. Something's wrong with Ami." Blossom instructed as she stared at Ami.

"Okay." Bubbles replied as she sped into the dining room. "Professor! There's something wrong with Ami, come quick!" Bubbles yelled as she flapped her arms around in a panic.

"Oh no, you girls didn't ask her to play that commando game did you?" The professor asked as he quickly stood up.

"Buttercup asked her to play with her." Bubbles answered as she floated next to the professor.

"She's probably loosing it right now, wait here Bubbles." The professor instructed as he ran into the play area.

"Nice job Buttercup, Ami looks like she's about to have a heart attack." Blossom scolded as she stared at Buttercup.

"I didn't know this would happen. I don't know what she's so upset about, it's just a game, and the graphics don't even look that good." Buttercup replied as she stared at Blossom.

"Girls, get away from Ami!" The professor yelled as he ran to Ami's side.

"We didn't do anything professor!" Blossom yelled as she looked back at the professor.

"I'm not saying you did, but you need to give Ami space right now." The professor informed as he looked at Ami. "Go wait by Bubbles at the table girls." The professor instructed as he stared at Ami with a sad expression.

"Yes professor." Blossom and Buttercup replied as they slowly left the play room.

"Ami? Ami can you hear me?" The professor asked with a small frown.

"Mhm." Ami answered through her tears as she nodded her head.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" The professor asked with a small frown.

"I was so scared. There were so many bullets everywhere, Rei, Mina, and I were pinned behind a short wall and they just kept coming. So many bullets, so much noise. Mina got shot and Rei got so angry when that happened that she set them all on fire. I'll never forget their screams as they burned alive. The way their burning flesh smelled as they writhed in agony and slowly died. I can't...I can't let it go professor, it's always there, buried in my mind like pandora's box. Whenever it opens I'm overwhelmed with fear and sorrow, I want it to go away." Ami cried as she clung to the professor. "I want my family." Ami cried as she continued clinging to the professor.

"Oh Ami." The professor quietly said as he gently rubbed Ami's back.

"Can we go home professor?" Ami quietly asked as she looked into the professor's eyes.

"Yes, you and Buttercup need to rest anyways." The professor quietly said as he gently wiped Ami's tears away. "Come on Ami, let's go." The professor said with a smile as he lead Ami out of the play room.

"Are you okay Ami?" Bubbles asked as she floated up to Ami.

"Yeah, thanks Bubbles." Ami answered with a sniffle.

"Come on girls, we're going home." The professor quietly said as he lead them out of the restaurant.

"I'm sorry Ami, I didn't mean to upset you in there. I hope you're not mad at me." Buttercup quietly said with a small frown as she walked alongside Ami.

"I'm not made at you at all Buttercup, you didn't know. I should've told you that I wasn't comfortable playing that game and that it scared me." Ami replied as she stopped walking and gently picked Buttercup up.

"Why were you scared Ami, it was just a game?" Blossom asked with a confused expression.

"It was because of that other world I was in, I saw and did a lot of scary things, and that game reminded me of those things. It's kind of like when Buttercup had that nightmare and punched you, that's how I felt. My memories of that world just kind of rushed into my head when I saw some of the things on that game." Ami answered with a small frown as everyone got in the car.

"Like what kinds of things?" Bubbles asked as Ami buckled her in.

"Things that are too scary to tell you about." Ami quietly answered as she buckled Blossom and Buttercup in as well.

"Like a monster in the closet?" Bubbles asked with a worried expression.

"More like skeletons in the closet." Ami whispered as she closed the door, then got in the front seat.

"That's not as scary as a monster in the closet." Bubbles said with a small smile.

"It's an expression Bubbles, it means that Ami has secrets that she doesn't want you to know about. That's okay though, her secrets might be too scary for you girls." The professor clarified with a straight face as he started driving.

"But what could be so scary that someone as tough as Ami wouldn't be able to handle it?" Blossom asked as she stared at Ami.

"I've done things girls, things I can't undo. Things I'm not proud of, things that would scare your father even. We'll leave it at that." Ami quietly said with a small sigh.

"Okay." Blossom quietly replied as she turned her head and looked out the window. The rest of the ride home was silent, and the girls had fallen asleep about halfway there.

"Thank you for everything you did today professor, it really made me feel good." Ami thanked as the professor pulled up to the house.

"You're welcome Ami, and hey, if you wanna talk or you just need some comfort you can always come find me. I'm here for you, just like you're here for them." The professor said with a smile as he turned the car off and looked at Ami.

"Thank you professor. Now let's get the girls to bed." Ami quietly said as she got out of the car and went around to the back door. "Look at them, they're so cute." Ami whispered as she stared at the three sleeping puffs.

"I'll grab Blossom and Bubbles, could you grab Buttercup please?" The professor whispered as he gently picked Blossom up.

"Of course." Ami answered as she carefully picked Buttercup up.

"Thank you." The professor quietly thanked as he lead Ami to the front door and opened it.

"Let's get you girls to bed, you all had big days today." Ami whispered as she carried Buttercup up stairs while the professor carried Blossom and Bubbles. "I'll let you get them changed in private." Ami whispered as she laid Buttercup on the bed.

"Would you mind getting Buttercup changed for me please?" The professor asked with a smile.

"You want me to undress your daughter?" Ami asked with a shocked expression.

"There's nothing wrong with a mommy taking care of her little girl." The professor said with a smile as he started undressing Blossom.

"Mommy. I never thought anyone would call me that, but I have to admit, it feels good. It's a lot of responsibility to even just be a motherly figure, but I've come to enjoy it. Even in just these two days, I don't know how I got so far in life without these sweet little angels. My sweet little puffs." Ami whispered as she carefully undressed Buttercup, then redressed her in her pajamas. "Goodnight baby." Ami quietly said as she tucked Buttercup in and gave her a kiss goodnight. "Goodnight Blossom, goodnight Bubbles." Ami whispered as she did the same thing to Blossom and Bubbles. "Sweet dreams girls." Ami whispered as she started leaving the room.

"Goodnight girls." The professor whispered as he gave each of them a kiss, then walked over by Ami.

"They're so cute when they sleep." Ami quietly said as she gently closed the door.

"They really are. So what now?" The professor asked with a small smile.

"Now I'm gonna go to Mojo's place and try and piece together that machine he used to bring me here. "If I'm not back in a few hours then assume something's gone wrong." Ami instructed as she grabbed her ODM handles.

"That equipment, it runs on pressurized gas correct?" The professor asked as he stared at Ami's equipment.

"Yeah, and it's getting low. So I need to be careful how I use it." Ami informed with a straight face.

"Hold on a second, I might have just the thing for you in my lab." The professor said with a grin as he lead Ami to a flight of steps. "Down here." The professor instructed as he started descending the steps. Ami quietly followed behind him. "Here we are, the closest thing I have to a man cave." The professor chuckled as he gestured to a door before walking through it.

"Wow." Ami quietly said as she walked through the door and looked around. The lab was huge and completely white from ceiling to floor, there were several black counters scattered around that each held many various gadgets and scientific equipment.

"Over here Ami." The professor waved as he held up a large coiled hose.

"What's that professor?" Ami asked as she walked over to the professor.

"Nothing fancy, just an air compressor. But I can make an attachment for it that'll fit your tank so you can refill it whenever you need." The professor informed with a smile.

"You'd really do that for me?" Ami quietly asked as she stared at the professor.

"Of course I would Ami, you're family now, and I take care of my family." The professor replied with a sweet smile. Tears slowly started to fill Ami's eyes as she stared at him.

"Family?" Ami quietly asked as she stared at the professor. "Thank you professor, thank you so much." Ami cried as she hugged the professor.

"You're welcome Ami, now why don't you go get some rest while I put together a nozzle that'll fit your gear." The professor said with a smile as he stared at Ami's gear.

"Thank you." Ami quietly thanked as she removed her gear and set it on the counter next to the professor. "Goodnight professor." Ami quietly said as she walked towards the steps.

"Goodnight Ami, sweet dreams." The professor replied as he watched Ami walk away. "Now to get to work." The professor said to himself with a grin as he started making measurements and writing information down. While the professor worked, Ami went to the couch and laid down to go to sleep, that was until three little girls came up to her.

"Ami." Bubbles quietly said as she poked Ami.

"Girls. It's late, you should all be sleeping." Ami quietly said as she sat up and looked at them.

"We know, but we wanted to sleep by you. Can we sleep with you Ami, please?" Blossom asked with a small pout.

"Ask your dad." Ami answered with a smile.

"Yippee!" Bubbles cheered as she dashed down to the lab.

"What are you doing down here Bubbles, you should be in bed?" The professor asked as he stared at Bubbles.

"Can we sleep with Ami mommy professor, pleeeeease?!" Bubbles begged with big puppy dog eyes.

"I suppose so, just make sure Ami's comfortable with it first." The professor answered with a smile as he got back to work.

"Thank you professor!" Bubbles yelled as she zipped back upstairs to Ami. "He said we could sleep with you!" Bubbles cheered as she flapped her arms around.

"Alright girls, but we'll sleep in your room since it'd be a little crowded in the living room with all four of us." Ami giggled as she stood up.

"Thank you Ami mommy!" All three of them cheered as Blossom and Bubbles floated next to her, while Buttercup held her arms up.

"Up you go." Ami said with a smile as she picked Buttercup up. "You two can ride on my shoulders if you'd like." Ami said with a smile as she looked at Blossom and Bubbles.

"Thanks Ami mommy!" Blossom and Bubbles yelled as they each sat on one of Ami's shoulders.

"Now let's get to bed girls, we've had a big day." Ami quietly said as she carried all three of them upstairs and laid them in their bed.

"Lay by me Ami." Buttercup said with a smile as Ami laid all three of them down.

"Sure Buttercup." Ami replied a she laid down at the edge of the bed by Buttercup. "Goodnight girls, sweet dreams." Ami whispered as she rolled on her side and pulled all three of them into her arms.

"Goodnight Ami mommy." All three girls replied with smiles as they drifted off to sleep.
