Chapter Six
She'll be Home for Christmas
While the girls and the rest of Townsville slept peacefully in their beds, one super villain was doing something super nice for a super family. "They will never expect this, for even Mojo Jojo behaves and does nice things for the holidays." Mojo said to himself as he put the finishing touches on his newest invention. "Yes! My latest creation is complete, tomorrow shall be a special day for those girls. Now to bed I go, for Mojo Jojo needs eight hours of sleep to function, and it is eight hours of sleep that Mojo Jojo requires to function properly the next day!" Mojo yelled with joy as he set his invention on the table before going to bed. Now all of Townsville was asleep, and the city sat silent and dark for the next several hours, but as the sun rose the next day, so to did Townsville and all of its citizens.
"Who's poking me?" Maylyn mumbled as she cracked open one eye, only to find Buttercup snuggled against her. "If the rest of the team could see you right now Buttlyn, you look anything but like the tough puff we all know." Maylyn giggled as she gently wrapped her arm around Buttercup.
"I don't care what they think, I feel comfortable and safe like this." Buttercup quietly said as she hugged Maylyn.
"Sorry Buttlyn, I thought you were still asleep." Maylyn apologized with a small frown.
"It's okay. Sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable, I just feel cozy like this, you make me feel safe." Buttercup whispered with a smile.
"What are friends for Buttercup." Maylyn said with a smile as she hugged Buttercup.
"What time is it, do we have school today?" Blossom asked with a yawn as she sat up.
"I don't know about you three, but I sure do." Maylyn replied as she gently moved Buttercup to the side before standing up.
"You do have school today girls, so you'd best get up and get dressed." The professor informed as he walked into the room.
"Okay." All three puffs replied as they slowly made their way out of the living room towards the steps. "You feeling better today Buttercup?" Blossom asked as she looked behind her at Buttercup.
"Much better than I have been, I don't even know if I need a pill today." Buttercup replied with a smile.
"That's good." Blossom said as she lead Bubbles and Buttercup into their room to change.
"I hope Ami mommy feels better and she can come to school with us today." Bubbles said in a hopeful tone as she grabbed her usual outfit from the closet.
"I don't know Bubbles, Ami mommy was really hurting last night. It might be better for her to stay here and rest." Blossom informed as she grabbed her clothes as well.
"Didn't Ami mommy say something about her having fast healing abilities or something?" Buttercup asked as she got dressed.
"I think she did at one point, but she didn't specify how fast." Blossom answered as she started leaving the room
"Maybe she'll heal really really fast and be all better today!" Bubbles hoped in an enthusiastic tone.
"I hope so, she was really hurting last night. I don't like to see Ami mommy in pain." Buttercup quietly said as she followed Blossom out of the room.
"I don't either, Ami mommy's so nice. I don't want her to have boo boos." Bubbles replied with a sad expression as she followed Buttercup downstairs.
"You girls ready for the day?" Maylyn asked as she walked with the girls into the kitchen.
"Yeah, we're just wondering if Ami mommy's okay." Buttercup answered as she sat down at the table with Maylyn.
"I'm sure she'll be okay, she's tougher than nails after all. Nothing's gonna keep her down for long." Maylyn replied in an encouraging tone.
"That's for sure. Now you four eat up so you can get to school, I'm gonna go and check on Ami real quick." The professor instructed as he set a stack of waffles on the table before leaving the room. "Ami." The professor whispered as he looked down at Ami, who was sleeping like a rock. "Ami." The professor quietly said again as he gently patted Ami's shoulder. Ami quickly sat up with a panicked gasp as she looked around the room. "Easy, easy Ami. Are you okay, I didn't mean to scare you so badly?" The professor asked as he stared at Ami.
"Yeah, yeah I'm okay. Just a bad dream." Ami answered as she shook her head back and forth a few times.
"You wanna talk about it?" The professor asked as he put a hand on Ami's shoulder.
"No thank you, it's just the usual crap. How are the girls today?" Ami answered and asked with a smile.
"They're well, how are you doing?" The professor replied with a smile.
"I'm okay. Sore, but nothing I can't handle." Ami answered as she pulled her shirt up and looked at her side.
"That looks like it hurts a lot." The professor said with a frown as he stared at Ami's swollen and bruised side.
"It doesn't hurt as bad as its ugly appearance would suggest. I'll see how I feel once I start moving around though." Ami replied with a smile as she slowly started standing up.
"Here, I've got you." The professor said as he carefully helped Ami to her feet.
"Thank you professor." Ami thanked as she stretched a little bit. "Oh. There's the aching, okay, I'm feeling it now." Ami groaned as she put a hand over her side. "I'm gonna steal one of Buttercup's pills for sure if she can spare one, or even two." Ami informed with a breath as she started walking towards the kitchen.
"Buttercup's doing fine today, I'm sure she won't mind if you take one or two, or even the whole bottle. Well I mean, don't take the whole bottle at once obviously. You know what I mean though." The professor replied with a chuckle.
"I do, thank you professor; and I'm glad to hear that Buttercup's feeling better today." Ami replied as she slowly walked into the kitchen. "Good morning girls." Ami greeted with a smile as she walked over to the table and sat down.
"Ami mommy!" All three puffs cheered as they dashed over to Ami and gently hugged her. "Are you feeling better?" Bubbles asked with a smile as she stared at Ami.
"A little. How are all of you feeling today?" Ami asked as she hugged the girls.
"I'm feeling much better today." Buttercup informed with a grin as she patted her chest.
"I'm glad to hear that Buttercup, and what about you two, are you and Bubbles feeling good today?" Ami asked as she looked at Blossom and Bubbles.
"Yep, we're all ready for school!" Blossom answered with a big smile.
"That's good. I'm gonna try and come with you girls today, but I'm still very sore so I'm gonna take some medicine before we go." Ami informed with a smile.
"Hooray! Ami mommy's coming to school with us!" All three puffs cheered with joy.
"Glad to see you're feeling better today Ami, you want one of those pills now?" Maylyn asked with a smile.
"Please." Ami answered as she tried to stretch a little. "Oh, I'm so sore. I feel like I got hit by a truck." Ami groaned with a small breath.
"You speaking from experience?" The professor asked with a smile as he started making bacon and eggs.
"For once I'm not." Ami answered with a giggle.
"Well you be careful today Ami, and if it's too much you have Ms. Keane call me and I'll come pick you up so you can come home and rest." The professor instructed as he beat some eggs in a bowl before dumping them into a pan.
"I'll try my best, thank you professor." Ami thanked with a smile as Maylyn set two pills and a glass of milk in front of her. "Thank you." Ami said with a smile as she took the pills and threw them in her mouth.
"No problem Ami." Maylyn replied as she sat down between Ami and Buttercup.
"You know what would be fun Maylyn?" Buttercup asked with a smile.
"What Buttlyn?" Maylyn asked in reply as the professor set some plates in front of her and the others.
"If you slept over again tonight and we stayed up all night watching movies and playing games!" Buttercup yelled with enthusiasm as she stared at Maylyn.
"Heck yeah Buttlyn! Plus it's Friday so we don't have to worry about school tomorrow! We can spend all night doing stuff!" Maylyn yelled as she threw her hands in the air.
"Like playing video games and watching cool movies?!" Buttercup asked with glee.
"All night long!" Maylyn replied with a huge grin.
"WOOHOO! Up top Maylyn!" Buttercup cheered as she and Maylyn high-fived.
"Um, Buttercup. Aren't you going to ask permission before planning a super sleepover with your friend?" The professor asked with a smirk.
"Sorry. Can Maylyn sleep over tonight professor?! Please! Please! Please! We promise not to cause too much of a ruckus!" Buttercup begged with big puppy dog eyes.
"I'm fine with it if Maylyn's parents are okay with it. But you should ask Ami to since she's not feeling well and she might just want some quiet tonight." The professor instructed as he looked over at Ami.
"Would you mind if Maylyn slept over tonight Ami? We promise not to be too obnoxious?" Buttercup asked with a small smile.
"I don't mind at all Buttercup, and you two can be as noisy as you want. I've slept in far louder and worse conditions than a slumber party before." Ami answered with a smile.
"Really?" Buttercup asked with a huge smile and a sparkle in her eyes.
"Oh yeah, unless you two can some how out yell the sound of constant cannon fire then I think I'll be fine." Ami replied with a grin.
"What haven't you seen or done Ami? You've got more stories to tell than the folks down at the Townsville retirement home." Blossom said with smile.
"If you think I'm bad now just wait until I'm actually their age. I'll put the whole block to sleep with my stories." Ami giggled as the professor set everyone's breakfast in front of them before sitting down.
"Eat up girls, don't wanna be late." The professor instructed as he sat down next to Ami.
"Thank you professor!" Everyone thanked as they started eating their breakfast.
"You're welcome girls." The professor replied as he took a bite of his eggs.
"I can't wait to see what we get to do in class today. I hope Ms. Keane reads us all another story like the one she made up for us last night." Bubbles said with a smile as she nibbled on a waffle.
"I hope we get to do arts and crafts, that's one of my favorite things to do." Blossom said with a giggle as she took a bite of bacon.
"What about you Buttercup, what do you wanna do today?" The professor asked as he looked at Buttercup.
"I don't know, maybe play some tag. I love that game." Buttercup answered as she ate some of her eggs and took a bite of bacon.
"Oh my god, remember the first time we played tag?! We got so carried away that we destroyed Townsville!" Blossom yelled with a laugh.
"Yes, I can't believe we did that. It was fun and all, but the mayor and citizens weren't too pleased with us." Buttercup giggled in reply.
"You girls did what? How do you destroy a city in a game of tag?" Ami asked with a stunned expression.
"We didn't know any better, we were less than a week old at the time. The other kids were playing and it looked fun, so we tried it and really liked it. The next thing we knew we were chasing each other all over Townsville trying to tag each other, we chased each other through buildings, streets, subways, everything. In the end we might've done a few million dollars worth of damage to the city." Blossom explained with an embarrassed chuckle.
"Well at least you girls know better now and the people forgave you. I can only imagine what that all looked like. Still, I bet you three were adorable when you were playing, minus the destruction of the city that is." Ami giggled as she ate some more of her breakfast.
"We're always adorable." Bubbles said with a squeaky giggle.
"You sure are. Now finish up girls, we don't wanna be late." Ami instructed as she finished her breakfast. "Thank you for breakfast professor, it was delicious as always." Ami thanked as she slowly stood from the table.
"Are you sure you're gonna be okay today Ami, you can barely stand up on your own?" The professor asked with a small frown as he stared at Ami.
"I'm sure I'll be fine once I loosen up a bit, thanks for worrying about me though professor. You remind me a lot of my mom." Ami thanked with a sad smile.
"You must miss her a lot." The professor quietly said with a small frown as he stared at Ami.
"Yeah. I miss them all, mom, dad, Mako, the whole gang. But I'm sure I'll see them again real soon." Ami replied as she stretched a little. "Finish up girls, don't wanna be late." Ami instructed as she stared at the girls.
"Yes Ami mommy!" All three puffs replied as they quickly finished their breakfast before dashing towards the bathroom to brush their teeth.
"Speaking of being late, I've gotta go. Thank you for breakfast professor." Maylyn thanked as she stood up and started leaving the room.
"You're welcome Maylyn, and thanks for staying over last night and keeping Buttercup company. I know how safe and happy she feels around you." The professor replied with a smile.
"I was happy to do it professor." Maylyn replied as she opened the front door. "See ya at practice Buttlyn!" Maylyn yelled as she started leaving.
"See ya then Maylyn!" Buttercup yelled back from upstairs.
"Bye Ami, take it easy today." Maylyn instructed as she walk out the door and closed it behind her.
"Yes, please take it easy today Ami. I don't want you to get hurt any more." The professor said with a straight face as he stared at Ami.
"I'll do my best professor." Ami giggled.
"All set, let's go Ami." Blossom said with a smile as all three girls came flying down the steps.
"Sounds good. Bye professor, see you tonight." Ami said with a smile as she lead the girls out of the house.
"Come on Ami, we don't wanna be late." Buttercup said with a smile as she picked Ami up.
"I don't think we'll have to worry about that with your speed limits." Ami chuckled as Buttercup started flying towards the school. "Speaking of your speed, do any of you know what your top speed is?" Ami asked as with an intrigued expression.
"We've never measured our speed before, but we have gone fast enough to travel through time." Blossom answered with a smile.
"You've time traveled before?! You actually flew so fast that you punched through the fabric of the space time continuum?! Holly cow! Do you girls know that you broke the laws of physics in order to accomplish that, you are living proof that Einstein-Sama's theory of relativity is wrong! That is incredible! I wish I could've seen that!" Ami yelled with excitement as she pictured the girls flying through a physical wall of space and time.
"Who?" Blossom asked as she looked at Ami.
"Albert Einstein, he's a really famous scientist from my universe. He had a theory he called the theory of relativity. It's a theory that suggests a link between time and space, it also claims that nothing in the universe can travel faster than the speed of light. You girls have proven that theory wrong by time traveling through no means other than extremely high speeds. In order to travel through time like you did you would've had to have been moving faster than the speed of light, over six-hundred and seventy million miles per hour! That's absolutely insane!" Ami yelled in an overly excited tone as the girls arrived at school.
"Sweet, we broke a universal record!" Buttercup cheered as she gently set Ami down.
"You three broke not only a universal record, but a multiverse record and the laws of physics. Only you three could do something so insane." Ami giggled as she patted each puff on the head.
"Do we get a prize?" Bubbles asked with a hopeful smile.
"I don't know, we'll have to ask a scientist at some point." Ami answered as she slowly walked towards the door.
"Good morning girls." Ms. Keane greeted as Ami and the girls walked towards the door.
"Morning Ms. Keane!" Everyone replied with smiles as they walked past her.
"How are you feeling today Ami?" Ms. Keane asked as she walked alongside Ami.
"A little better than when I woke up this morning." Ami answered as she followed the girls over to their table and sat down next to it.
"Would you like a chair Ami?" Ms. Keane asked as she stared at Ami.
"I'll be okay Ms. Keane, but thank you." Ami answered with a smile.
"Alright, but let me know if you need anything. I know you're probably still achy after everything that happened." Ms. Keane instructed as she walked over to her desk and sat down.
"Yay, Ami came today!" Robin cheered as she ran over to Ami and the girls.
"Hi Robin." Ami greeted with a smile.
"Hi Ami." Robin replied with a smile of her own.
"Are you ready to learn today?" Ami asked as she stared at Robin.
"I'm always ready to learn. I just hope it's about something neat like rainbows." Robin answered with a giggle.
"Sorry Robin, but we're gonna be learning about something else today. We're gonna learn about planets." Ms. Keane informed as she pointed at the chalk board.
"Cool." Robin said with a smile as she stared at the board, which had a drawing of the solar system on it.
"Yep, so let's take our seats so we can get started." Ms. Keane instructed with a smile.
"Yes Ms. Keane." Everyone answered as they all took their usual seats.
"Now then, can anyone tell me how many planets are on my drawing?" Ms. Keane asked as she pointed at her drawing.
"I can!" Blossom yelled as she threw her hand in the air.
"Go ahead Blossom." Ms. Keane replied in a sweet tone.
"There are nine planets on your drawing." Blossom answered with big grin.
"Incorrect." Ms. Keane replied with a straight face. The whole class gasped in surprise of Blossom's wrong answer.
"Oh my god, Blossom gave a wrong answer." One of the students whispered with a shocked expression.
"But Blossom's never wrong." Another student replied in the same surprised tone.
"I don't understand Ms. Keane, I counted twice. I know that there are nine planets on the board. Look, there's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine." Blossom informed out as she pointed at each planet.
"You're right Blossom, there are nine drawings on the board, but only eight of these are planets." Ms. Keane informed with a smile.
"Is one of them the moon then?" Bubbles asked with a confused expression.
"Nope." Ms. Keane replied as she looked around the room at everyone. "Ami." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she looked at Ami.
"Yes Ms. Keane?" Ami asked as she looked back at Ms. Keane.
"Perhaps you can explain why everyone's wrong, unless your universe's solar system is different." Ms. Keane suggested with a smile.
"Of course Ms. Keane." Ami replied as she slowly stood up and walked over to the board. "Alright everyone, I'm sure you're all kind of upset right now. You all know that you counted right, so why are you all wrong? Well, here's why. This orb here, Pluto, is not actually a planet. It is something called a dwarf planet. But that's a little complex for you kiddos, so we'll just call it a baby planet." Ami explained as she drew a little diaper on Pluto, which made all the kids laugh. "It looks a little like a planet, but it's missing certain things that the other planets have. Such as a bigger size. You're probably wondering why that matters since it looks about as big as Mercury, well that's because of its position in the solar system. It breaks the rules. Being this far from the sun Pluto should be large like Jupiter, but instead it's tiny like Mercury. Also, it should be made of gas, but instead it's made of rocks. That's another rule it breaks. It's for those two reasons that Pluto is not a planet, it's small and rocky even though it's position in the solar system would suggest that it should be large and gaseous. Does anyone get what I'm trying to say?" Ami asked as she stared at the students.
"Not really." Bubbles answered with a small frown.
"That's okay. Basically, Pluto's not a planet because it's small and made of rocky material, even though it's way out at the edge of the solar system. Basic rule of the solar system, planets close to the sun are small and hard, while planets further away from it are large and gassy. Anything that doesn't fit this standard rule is most likely not gonna be a planet." Ami explained with a smile.
"I'm glad all the gassy planets are far away, because they probably smell." One of the students giggled.
"Different kind of gas kiddo. Alright Ms. Keane, I'll let you take it from here." Ami said with a smile as she slowly walked back over by the girls and sat down.
"That was very well put Ami, thank you for teaching the class a little something about planets. Now then, who can guess what we're gonna do now?" Ms. Keane asked with a smile.
"Oh! Oh! I know! Are we gonna make solar systems?" Blossom asked with a hopeful smile.
"Very good Blossom. We're all gonna grab some art supplies and make our own solar systems. Your planets can be whatever color and size you want. This is a fun and creative activity, so you can throw the rules of science away for now. If you wanna have a big planet really close to your sun and a little planet really far away from it then go for it. Just have fun and be creative." Ms. Keane instructed with a smile.
"Yay!" All the kids cheered as they ran over to the art supplies and started grabbing things.
"You're not gonna make a project to Ami?" Ms. Keane asked as she walked over by Ami.
"No thank you Ms. Keane, I think I might actually go and lie down in the nap area if you don't mind." Ami replied as she slowly stood up, clutching her aching side as she did.
"Do you need a hand Ami?" Ms. Keane asked with a small frown as she watched Ami drag herself towards the nap area.
"I think I'm okay, thank you though Ms. Keane." Ami answered with a breath as she slowly knelt down in the nap area, then lied down completely. "It's pretty comfy over here." Ami quietly said with a smile as she fell asleep.
'That poor girl's exhausted, maybe I should call John and ask him to come and get her.' Ms. Keane thought to herself as she stared at Ami. "I'll leave her for now, I'll check on her in a bit and see if she's doing any better." Ms. Keane said to herself as she started walking around the room and checking on her students. "Looking good everyone, I love all the creativity I'm seeing." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she walked past each table. "Wow Buttercup, that's looking really good. How creative." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she looked at Buttercup's project.
"Thank you Ms. Keane." Buttercup thanked as she added some glitter to one of her planets.
"What's that planet called?" Ms. Keane asked as she stared at Buttercup's glitter covered planet.
"This is planet disco! I named it that because it looks like a disco ball." Buttercup replied as she shook some more glitter onto the planet.
"Can my citizens of planet unicorn sparkle come party on your disco planet?" Bubbles asked with a giggle as she splattered some bright pink paint on one of her styrofoam balls.
"If they don't mind partying with the people of planet punching bag." Buttercup answered with a grin as she started making another planet.
"You girls are so creative. What about you Blossom, what kind of planets are you making?" Ms. Keane asked as she looked at Blossom.
"This is planet sugar rush, it's made entirely of candies and other sweets. Then next to it is the evil planet broccoli, but planet cheese keeps the evil citizens of planet broccoli at bay." Blossom explained with a chuckle.
"That's adorable Blossom, very nice job." Ms. Keane complimented as she walked away.
"Can the people from planet bunny come play with the people at planet unicorn?" Robin asked as she walked over to Bubbles and looked at her project.
"Yeah, that'd be really fun!" Bubbles squeaked with joy.
"You can all come party on planet disco!" Buttercup yelled with joy as she held her planet up.
"Why party there when you can party on planet cash flow?" Princess asked with a grin as she held up a gold colored orb.
"Because your planet's just one boring color, mine's rainbow colored." Buttercup said with a snobby grin.
"Yeah, and everyone knows that every rainbow has a pot of gold at the end of it. So Buttercup's planet has just as much gold on it as yours does, plus it's multi colored." Blossom added with a smirk.
"But does your planet have waterfalls of hundred dollar bills?" Princess asked with smirk as she pointed at some green lines on her planet.
"Why would we want to swim in a bunch of dirty bills, I'd rather swim in the rainbow river on planet unicorn." Bubbles said with a smile as she pointed at a long rainbow that wrapped all the way around her orb.
"Because money is the best thing ever, the whole world revolves around it." Princess replied with a big grin.
"Money isn't everything kid." Ami quietly said as she slowly walked over by the girls.
"Ami mommy!" All three puffs yelled with joy.
"Hey girls. Those projects look really nice." Ami quietly said with a smile as she looked at each of their planets.
"Thanks Ami." Blossom thanked with a big smile.
"What do you mean money isn't everything. Of course it is, you can't buy or do anything without it. It's the most important thing in the world." Princess said with a snobby expression as she stared at Ami.
"Money doesn't buy happiness or love kid. It doesn't matter how much money a person has, there's nothing in this world more valuable than the people you care about. I'd trade every penny in the world to see my friends and family again for Christmas." Ami said with a sad smile as she hugged the puffs.
"That doesn't make any sense. Money's the ultimate source of joy! If it wasn't for money then I'd have no one! Everyone loves me because of my money." Princess said with a small frown.
"Exactly, they love you because of your money. How many of them would stay by your side if you didn't have it though?" Ami asked with a sad expression.
"How many of them would...Oh, I see your point now. I have to buy all my friends. But Blossom and her sisters don't, and neither do you. So the only reason people like me is because of my money?" Princess asked with a sad expression.
"I don't know if everyone feels that way about you, but if that thought upsets you then you can change. If you want people to like you for who you are then you need to be the kind of person that makes people happy without money. Look at the girls and Ms. Keane, people are happy around them because they're nice and helpful. You just have to try and be a little friendlier and worry less about what's in your wallet and more about what's in your heart. Do that and you'll be the kind of person that people flock to, whether you're the richest person in the world or you're dirt poor. Okay Princess?" Ami explained with a smile as she put a hand on Princess's shoulder.
"Okay. I'll try to be better Ami." Princess replied as she hugged Ami. "Bubbles, I'm sorry I was mean to you about your planet. Could you help me make planet cash flow more colorful?" Princess asked with a small smile.
"Yeah, I'd love to help!" Bubbles yelled with joy as she floated with Princess back to her table.
"That was really nice of you Ami, you're the only person to ever get that message through to her." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she put a hand on Ami's shoulder, making her jump slightly. "I'm sorry Ami, I didn't mean to hurt you." Ms. Keane apologized with a small frown as she stared at Ami.
"You didn't Ms. Keane, I just got scared. I didn't expect you to do that." Ami replied with a sad expression.
"That's okay Ami, do you wanna go lie back down?" Ms. Keane asked with a smile as she stared at Ami.
"Please." Ami answered as she started walking back over to the nap area.
"You gonna be okay to get there on you own?" Ms. Keane asked as she watched Ami walk away.
"Yeah, thank you Ms. Keane." Ami replied as she walked over to one of the nap pads and laid down, then pulled a blanket over herself.
"Why did Ami mommy go back to sleep?" Bubbles asked with a sad expression as she looked at Ms. Keane.
"I don't think she feels good Bubbles. I think I'm gonna call your dad and have him come get her, she would probably be more comfortable in an actual bed." Ms. Keane explained as she walked over to the phone and called the professor.
"Hello?" The professor said in a friendly tone as he answered the phone.
"Hi John, I'm sorry to bother you, but I think you should come and pick Ami up. We're barely an hour into the day and she's struggling to walk, she's been asleep in the nap area for most of the day." Ms. Keane explained in a sad tone as she stared at Ami.
"I was worried she wouldn't be well today, I think the only reason she went is because she didn't wanna disappoint the girls. I'll come pick her up." The professor replied in a sad tone.
"Thank you John." Ms. Keane quietly replied as she hung up the phone.
"Ami mommy's going home?" Bubbles asked with a sad expression.
"Oh, you heard all of that. I forgot that you girls have super sonic hearing." Ms. Keane said with a sigh as she knelt down by Bubbles. "I know that you want your Ami mommy to stay here with you, but she doesn't feel good right now. It's best if she goes home to rest." Ms. Keane explained with a sad smile.
"She's gonna go home?! I don't want her to leave us though!" Bubbles cried as she clung to Ms. Keane.
"No Bubbles, that's not what I meant. She's gonna go back to your house to rest, she'll be there when you get home from school later." Ms. Keane clarified as she hugged Ms. Keane.
"Do you promise?" Bubbles asked with a sniffle.
"I...I don't know Bubbles. I don't know when she'll go back to her world, but I know that she'd never go without saying goodbye to you girls. Have faith Bubbles, I'm sure everything's gonna be fine." Ms. Keane quietly said with a smile as she continued to hug Bubbles.
"I don't want her to leave us, I want a mommy like the other kids." Bubbles cried in response.
"Oh Bubbles." Ms. Keane whispered as she held Bubbles tighter.
"Hey, Bubbles." Princess quietly said as she walked up behind Bubbles.
"Yeah?" Bubbles asked with a sniffle.
"I know I'm not always the nicest person in the world, but I wouldn't worry too much about Ami leaving you. It's obvious that she loves you three a lot, I mean, she fought the scariest monster to ever come here in order to protect you, and the rest of us. No one would ever do something that scary unless they really loved the people they were doing it for. I don't think Ami's ever gonna leave you guys, but even if she does, I bet it won't be forever." Princess quietly said with a smile.
"Really?" Bubbles asked as she wiped her tears away.
"Yeah, I'd bet all my money on it." Princess giggled as she held her arms out to Bubbles.
"Thanks Morebucks." Bubbles thanked as she hugged Princess.
"You're welcome Bubbles." Morebucks replied as she hugged Bubbles back.
"That was sweet of you Princess, now why don't we finish our projects so we can have some story time." Ms. Keane suggested just as there was a knock on the door. "Excuse me for a moment kiddos, you can start putting your supplies away if you're done with your solar systems." Ms. Keane informed as she walked over to the door and opened it. "Hi professor." Ms. Keane greeted with a smile.
"Hello Ms. Keane, is Ami still asleep?" The professor asked with a straight face.
"Yes, this way." Ms. Keane answered as she lead the professor over by Ami.
"Is she okay? She's really sweaty and her breathing is really rapid?" The professor asked as he stared down at Ami.
"I don't know, she wasn't like this a few minutes ago." Ms. Keane answered with a worried expression.
"Can't stop it. It's coming. Gotta save them." Ami talked in her sleep as she tossed and turned.
"Ami? Ami what's wrong?" The professor asked as he knelt down by Ami.
"The samurai. The samurai!" Ami yelled as her eyes shot open and she gasped for breath.
"Ami? Ami look at me, what happened?" The professor asked as he and Ms. Keane stared at Ami.
"Samurai?" Ami quietly asked as she reached for the professor.
"Ami it's me, it's the professor. What's this about a samurai? I think you had a bad dream Ami." The professor quietly said with a frown.
"Professor? What are you doing here?" Ami quietly asked as she slowly sat up.
"Ms. Keane called me, she was worried about your condition and thought it might be best if you went home." The professor explained as he put a hand on Ami's shoulder.
"But...But I don't know how to get home." Ami answered with a few tears.
"I'm sorry Ami, I meant back to our house." The professor clarified as he hugged Ami.
"I miss my family professor, I miss Mako and the others. I wanna go home." Ami cried as she clung to the professor.
"I know Ami, I wish there was something I could do for you." The professor quietly said as he hugged Ami tighter.
"I miss Mako so much, I want my lighting bug." Ami cried as she continued to cling to the professor.
"Why is Ami mommy crying?" Bubbles asked as all three puffs zipped over by Ami and the professor.
"She misses her family Bubbles. I'm sure this has all been really hard for her, we need to help Ami get home." The professor explained as he continued to hug Ami.
"We know." Blossom replied with a small frown.
"We should talk to Mojo and see if he figured out how to send Ami mommy home yet." Buttercup suggested with a sad smile.
"Then that's what we'll do, come on girls." Blossom instructed as she started floating towards the door.
"Right behind you Bloss." Buttercup replied as she and Bubbles followed Blossom out of the room.
"Come on Ami, let's get you home to rest." The professor quietly said as he helped Ami to her feet.
"Thank you." Ami thanked with a sniffle as the professor walked her out the door and towards the car. "Where'd the girls go?" Ami asked as the professor sat her in the car and closed her door.
"They went to go talk to old acquaintance about something." The professor answered as he got in the car and turned it on.
"Okay." Ami replied as she closed her eyes and leaned her head on the window. While the professor drove Ami home, the girls were just about to land at Mojo's observatory.
"Oh, Mojo needs to learn to make more compact machines." Mojo grumbled as he heaved a large piece of metal across the room.
"Hi Mojo!" All three puffs yelled as they blasted through his front door.
"Punny Puffs?! What are you doing here, I didn't do anything evil! I swear, I've been rebuilding the universal transporter!" Mojo yelled as he spun around and stared at the girls.
"That's why we came Mojo, we wanted to see how far along it was." Blossom explained with a smile.
"Ami mommy's really sad and she wants to go home." Bubbles added with a sad expression.
"So we wanna help her get back so she can be happy." Buttercup finished with a small frown.
"Thank goodness, Mojo could use your super strength. For these pieces are heavy and large, but Mojo is small and weak! So you will help Mojo put the machine together, thus making Mojo's life easier and allowing him to finish sooner! Which in turn means your Ami mommy can go back home sooner!" Mojo babbled as he waved his arms all over the place.
"Yeah yeah, we got it Mojo. Just tell us what you want us to do." Buttercup groaned as she stared down at Mojo.
"Great! Now take that big piece and put the square part in that square slot in the bottom!" Mojo ordered as he pointed at the piece he'd been dragging.
"Got it." Buttercup replied as she picked the piece up like it was nothing, then slipped the square part into the slot.
"Great, now push it up a bit until that clawed part is hooked onto that thin rod up top." Mojo instructed as he pointed at a large round bar above Buttercup.
"Like this?" Buttercup asked as she held the piece in place.
"Brilliant! Now you two, weld the top and bottom sections with your laser eyes." Mojo instructed as he pointed at Blossom and Bubbles.
"Okay!" Both girls replied as they each dashed down to one of the areas and began welding the metal together with their eye beams.
"Excellent! At this rate the machine will be completed in mere hours! You girls keep working, Mojo has an important errand to run real quick." Mojo instructed as he started leaving the room.
"You can't just leave us here, we don't know how to put this thing together!" Blossom yelled as she stared at Mojo.
"The instructions are on the table, they are very easy to follow. They even have pictures." Mojo pointed out with a smile.
"I love picture books." Bubbles giggled as she floated over to the instructions.
"Wait, if we're doing all the work then what are you gonna do?" Buttercup grumbled as she stared at Mojo.
"Something very important, but it's a surprise. So no peaking! For if you peak it will no longer be a surprise, thus ruining everything! Now keep working, and in exchange Mojo will give you cookies when you're done." Mojo said with a smile as he left the room.
"Yippee, Mojo's gonna give us cookies." Bubbles giggled as she kept working on the machine.
"I don't know if we should trust his cookies. What if he tries to poison 'em or something?" Buttercup grumbled as she grabbed a large steel beam and held it in place.
"I doubt he'd try and do that, he knows what Ami would do to him if he tried something like that." Blossom replied as she welded one side of the beam to the machine.
"Yeah, even Mojo wouldn't do something like that." Bubbles added as she welded the other side.
"Excellent, with the girls doing that it frees me up to finish my newest invention. No one will ever see this coming." Mojo chuckled to himself as walked into a secret room and closed the door behind him. While the girls worked on the machine, the professor was just pulling into the driveway with Ami.
"Alright Ami, let's get you inside to rest." The professor said with a small frown as he turned the car off and got out.
"Okay." Ami quietly replied as she slowly got out of the car. "Ow. Everything hurts right now." Ami quietly said as she leaned on the car.
"You should've stayed home today Ami. I know you didn't wanna disappoint the girls and all, but they would've understood if you needed to rest." The professor quietly said as he helped Ami into the house.
"I don't know if it's just because I'm in pain or if I'm also feeling a little depressed." Ami quietly said as the professor sat her on the couch.
"I'm sorry you're feeling like this Ami, I wish there was something I could do to help you get back home." The professor replied as he sat down next to Ami.
"It's okay professor. At least I had a kind family to stay with through all of this, it could've been a lot worse. I could've been stuck here all alone on the streets, but instead three little angles found me and took me into their home. If I had to be trapped in an alternate universe I'm glad it was this one." Ami quietly said as she leaned her head on the professor's shoulder. "I just miss my friends and family a lot right now, especially with Christmas being so close. It'll be Christmas Eve in about fourteen hours in my universe." Ami informed with a sniffle.
"Don't worry Ami, I know that you'll make it home for the holidays." The professor quietly said as he pulled Ami closer and hugged her.
"How do you know?" Ami asked with a sniffle.
"Call it a father's intuition. I don't know how I know, but I know you'll be home for Christmas." The professor quietly said as he hugged Ami a little tighter. "Now get some rest so you can recover a bit more. I'll be in my lab if you need me." The professor informed as he covered Ami with a blanket before walking away.
"Thank you professor." Ami quietly said as she closed her eyes and fell asleep. A few hours passed before Ami slowly opened her eyes again. "Uh. What time is it?" Ami mumbled as she looked at the clock. "Three o-clock already. I slept for almost three hours." Ami mumbled as she sat up and stretched a little. "I wonder where the professor and girls are." Ami wondered out loud as she stood up and walked towards the professor's lab. "Professor!" Ami yelled down the steps.
"Come on down Ami!" The professor yelled back over the clang of metal. Ami slowly walked down the steps and into the lab.
"Hi professor." Ami greeted as she walked over by the professor.
"Hey Ami, did you sleep well?" The professor asked with a smile.
"Yes, I feel much better now. Thank you professor." Ami thanked as she watched the professor work on something. "What are you working on professor?" Ami asked with a smile.
"I'm glad you asked, these are vacuum headphones. They're supposed to totally block out any kind of outside noise, almost as if you were in the vacuum of space. Wanna give 'em a try?" The professor asked with a smile as he handed Ami the headphones.
"Sure, thank you professor." Ami thanked as she put a headphone in each ear. "Oh wow, these really do work nice." Ami said with a smile as she stared at the professor.
"Don't they, their main purpose is to help people with sensory overload issues focus and rest easier. They're just a prototype though." The professor explained with a smile.
"What'd you say?" Ami asked as she took the head phones out.
"I guess that means they work." The professor chuckled as Ami handed him the headphones.
"Like magic. You'll make a pretty penny off of those professor." Ami said with a smile.
"Don't tell the girls that, especially Buttercup. I really need to teach them to be better with money." The professor quietly said as he put the headphones in a special box.
"I think Buttercup learned her lesson about money already professor. She'll never forget that teaching." Ami quietly said with a small frown.
"I suppose you're right. Blossom and Bubbles were always good with money, Blossom saves it almost compulsively, and Bubbles just buys little things like stuffed animals with it. I'm really glad you showed up here Ami, you connected with Buttercup in a way that I never could. I'm glad that you understand her, because to be honest I don't always get her. I love her to pieces, I mean, she is my daughter after all; but even so, we just don't always understand each other. How do you do it Ami, how do you understand Buttercup so well? You and Maylyn both get her so well, so that tells me that it's not an issue with my personality or anything. You and Maylyn have almost opposite personalities and yet you both understand Buttercup so well. What am I missing when I try and talk to her?" The professor asked as he looked at Ami.
"For Maylyn it's probably because they're both very similar, so they have a common ground that they walk on so to speak. As for my understanding of her, I think it's because she reminds me a little bit of Mako. She's a little less mature which is to be expected considering she's over a decade younger than Mako, but their personalities are similar. Mako's strong and brave, she's always the first one in the fight and will gladly throw herself into harms way to protect the people she cares about. She can be rash and impulsive at times depending on the circumstances, but her heart's in the right place when she does things like that. Buttercup thinks the same way, sure she might make some mistakes every now and then, and you can definitely tell who most of the spice went to when you made them. Even so, she's a good kid with a good heart. She just needs a little more guidance, and not to pat myself on the back or anything, but I think she needed a motherly figure who had a little bit of extra spice in her own genes." Ami explained with a giggle.
"Well you certainly have spice in your formula Ami. It's kind of funny, I can see bits of all three of the girls in you. It's almost like you really are their mother. I mean, not that you're not already their mother or anything, I just mean from a literal biological standpoint." The professor replied with a smile.
"I understand what you're saying, and it makes me happy to hear you say that. Which is what makes all of this so difficult, I miss my family and friends so much professor, but I can't imagine leaving the girls to go back home. No matter what I do I have to leave members of my family behind. I don't know what's gonna hurt more, never seeing Mako and the others again, or leaving you and the girls behind to go home. I can't bare to hurt them like that, but I don't wanna leave mako and everyone else either. I don't know what to do professor, no matter what I choose I'll be crushing someone I love." Ami cried as she stared down at the floor.
"I know it's not easy Ami, but deep down the girls knew this would happen eventually. They may not want to admit it, but they're prepared for this, they knew you couldn't stay forever. We all did. So it might hurt for a long time, but you have a life and family to return to. We all knew this couldn't last forever, but that doesn't mean we'll just forget you when you go. We'll always love you Ami, and you'll always be part of our family." The professor quietly said as he hugged Ami.
"I'll never forget any of you either professor." Ami said with a sniffle as she hugged the professor back.
"You wanna come grab the girls with me, they get out of school in about thirty minutes?" The professor asked with a smile.
"I'd love to." Ami answered as she started walking with the professor towards the steps. Unknown to Ami and the professor, the girls were hard at work helping Mojo put the finishing touches on his machine.
"Yes! Very good, now gently set the top on it and I will screw it into place!" Mojo shouted as he stared up at the girls.
"Kay!" All three puffs replied as they gently set a large metal cone over a hollow cylinder shaped base.
"Great job girls, now hold it steady while I put the bolts in." Mojo instructed as he grabbed an impact gun and started screwing bolts in around the entire perimeter of the machine. "Now for the finishing touch. Who would like to do the final weld around the top?" Mojo asked as he looked at the girls.
"Me! Me!" Bubbles squealed as she flew down to where the top met the base, then fired her eye beams at it. Bubbles slowly moved around the perimeter of the machine, being extra careful to weld it tightly. "Ta da!" Bubbles yelled with glee.
"Brilliant work punny puffs! Now for the last step. Who wants cookies?!" Mojo yelled with a smile.
"We do!" All three puffs yelled as they dashed over to Mojo.
"Here you go girls, for a job well done. Even Mojo isn't all bad." Mojo said with a smile as he pointed at a tray with milk and cookies on it.
"It's like what Santa eats." Bubbles giggled as she grabbed a cookie and nibbled on it.
"Thank you Mojo." Blossom thanked as she grabbed a cookie.
"Thanks Mojo, these are really good!" Buttercup yelled with a smile as she ate an entire cookie in just three bites.
"You're welcome girls. Now come with Mojo, for it is time to turn on the machine and set the proper coordinates. We must be sure to set the proper coordinates or your Ami mommy could end up anywhere within the infinite multiverse." Mojo informed as he walked over to a small laptop that was connected to the machine. "Let's see, this should be her universe's coordinates. S M dot one dash five." Mojo said to himself as he typed the coordinates into the laptop and pressed enter.
"What does that all mean?" Blossom asked as she stared at Mojo's computer.
"You see, for there are an infinite number of universes out there. So every time one is discovered it's plotted on a graph and distinguished by a unique ID number. For example, there's another universe similar to your Ami mommy's universe, but it's not hers. This universe is S M dot one dash four. Then, plotted just next to your Ami mommy's universe is this one. A O T dot one dash four. This is a peculiar one, for it is this place that the creature that fought with Ami sent her to just before coming here." Mojo explained as he stared at the dot labeled A O T 1-4.
"Was that the scary one where Ami mommy got that funny gear?" Bubbles asked with a small frown.
"Yes." Mojo answered with a straight face as he hit a few more buttons. "There it is girls, you Ami mommy's home. All she'll have to do is walk through the portal created by my transporter and she'll be back home where she belongs." Mojo informed with a smile.
"Will she ever be able to come back?" Bubbles asked with a few tears.
"I cannot say for certain, but Mojo has learned that nothing is impossible. So have hope girls, for if she is truly meant to be your adopted mommy then you will see her again for sure." Mojo answered with a smile.
"YAY!" All three puffs cheered as they each hugged Mojo.
"I'm glad you're all happy. Now you should return to school, and don't tell anyone about this. For it is a surprise and if you tell you will ruin it! So you will not tell anyone what you did here today, if they ask you tell them it was the usual stuff. I tried to take over Townsville and you put me in jail as always. Deal?" Mojo asked as he looked at the girls and held his hand out to Blossom.
"Deal! Thanks Mojo!" Blossom replied as she shook Mojo's hand.
"You're welcome. Now go or you'll be late getting back, and by being late you will make Ami suspicious, and if Ami is suspicious she will figure everything out for she is very smart!" Mojo yelled in his typical rambling tone.
"Yes Mojo! Bye bye!" All three puffs replied as they dashed out of the observatory in their usual streaks of light.
"Now to put the final touches on my super secret invention." Mojo said to himself with a grin as he walked into his secret room once again.
"We've gotta hurry, school lets out in just ten minutes!" Blossom yelled as she sped toward school.
"Then let's kick it into high gear Bloss!" Buttercup shouted as she increased her speed, blowing past Blossom and Bubbles like a rocket.
"Wait for us!" Blossom yelled as she and Bubbles sped after Buttercup. After only a few seconds the girls arrived at their school and quickly ran through the door and took their seats.
"Welcome back girls, how did everything go by Mojo's?" Ms. Keane asked with a smile.
"It went good, we helped him finish the machine that's gonna send Ami mommy home." Blossom informed in a sad tone.
"So Ami can leave at any time?" Ms. Keane asked with a sad smile.
"Mhm." Blossom quietly answered with a sniffle.
"We don't want her to leave though. We want our Ami mommy to be with us forever." Bubbles cried.
"I don't want Ami to leave us!" Buttercup yelled through a rain of tears. "We don't wanna loose our Ami mommy!" All three puffs yelled as tears poured from their eyes.
"Oh girls." Ms. Keane quietly said as she hugged all three puffs. "I know how much you all love Ami, but it wouldn't be fair of us to keep her here in our world, far away from her friends and family. But I'm sorry that you girls are gonna have to say goodbye to her, I know how much you all love Ami and how much she loves all of you. But sometimes when we love someone or something the best thing we can do is let them go. No matter how much it hurts, helping Ami get home is the right thing to do, it's the heroic thing to do." Ms. Keane said with a smile as she hugged the girls tighter.
"We understand Ms. Keane. We'll make sure Ami mommy gets home." Blossom said with a sad smile.
"Girls!" The professor yelled with joy as he walked through the front door.
"Professor!" All three puffs yelled as they dashed over to the professor and hugged him.
"Hello girls, did you have a good day?" The professor asked with a smile as he hugged the girls back.
"Yeah! We made solar systems!" Bubbles yelled with glee as she pointed at her project.
"Wow, those look really good girls." The professor said with a smile as he walked over by each of their projects and inspected them a little more.
"Did Ami mommy come with?" Buttercup asked in a hopeful tone.
"I sure did Buttercup." Ami answered as she walked through the door.
"Ami mommy!" All three puffs yelled as they sped over to Ami and hugged her.
"Hi girls. Did you all have a good day after I left?" Ami asked with a smile as she hugged the girls back.
"Yeah, we did lots of fun things." Blossom answered with a smile.
"We also have a surprise for you." Buttercup informed with a big smile.
"Really? I can't wait for you to show it to me." Ami replied with a happy expression.
"You're gonna love it Ami! Come on come on!" Bubbles shouted as she grabbed Ami's hand and tried to lead her out the door.
"I'm coming Bubbles." Ami chuckled as she followed Bubbles out of the school.
"Have a good day Ms. Keane." The professor said with a smile as he started leaving with Blossom and Buttercup.
"Take care John, and tell Ami that we'll miss her." Ms. Keane quietly instructed with a sad smile.
"I'm sure she'll be back on Monday Ms. Keane." The professor replied as he looked back at Ms. Keane.
"John, it's done." Ms. Keane quietly said with a sad expression.
"It's done? I don't...Oh, I see. Do the girls know?" The professor quietly asked with an equally sad expression.
"Yes, they helped finish it." Ms. Keane answered with a sad smile.
"Alright. Thank you for letting me know Ms. Keane, we'll let her know." The professor quietly said as he slowly left.
"Come on Ami!" Bubbles yelled with a smile as she opened the car door for Ami.
"Thank you Bubbles." Ami thanked with a smile as she got in the car.
"Are you girls ready?" The professor asked with a smile as he got in the car with Blossom and Buttercup.
"Yeah, we can do this professor." Blossom answered with a sad smile.
"We're ready." Buttercup quietly said with a sad expression.
"Ready for what girls, is everything alright?" Ami asked in a nervous tone as she looked behind her at the girls.
"Yeah, we just didn't know this day would come so soon." Blossom quietly said as the professor started driving.
"What day?" Ami asked with a confused expression as she stared at Blossom.
"I think it would be better if we show you." Buttercup quietly said as she stared out the window.
"Alright, but you can talk to me about anything if you need to." Ami informed as she turned back around and looked at the professor.
"It's time Ami." The professor quietly said as he drove to Mojo's observatory.
"Time?" Ami asked with a confused expression.
"You'll understand in a second." The professor quietly said as he parked the car and turned it off.
"Why are we at Mojo's?" Ami asked as she stared at the observatory.
"Come with us Ami mommy." Blossom quietly instructed as she opened the door and got out of the car. Ami silently obeyed and exited the car, along with the professor, Buttercup, and Bubbles.
"What's going on Blossom?" Ami asked as she walked next to Blossom towards Mojo's front door.
"Welcome Sailor Mercury, it's nice to see you again." Mojo greeted as he opened the door for Ami and the others.
"It's nice to see you to Mojo. What's going on, the girls are being very secretive?" Ami asked with a straight face as she stared at Mojo.
"Come, Mojo will explain." Mojo answered as he gestured Ami and the others inside. Everyone slowly walked into the observatory, and Ami's jaw practically fell open when she saw what was in the middle of the room.
"You...you finished it?" Ami asked with a smile as she stared at the universal transporter.
"Yes, and Mojo had much help doing it." Mojo answered as he looked back at the girls.
"Girls. You helped Mojo fix his machine? You did this for me?" Ami quietly asked as she looked at the girls.
"We know how much you miss your home Ami mommy, so we wanted to help you get back there." Blossom said with a few tears.
"We knew we couldn't keep you here forever, that would've been selfish of us." Buttercup quietly cried as she stared at Ami.
"But we're gonna miss you so much Ami mommy!" Bubbles cried as she looked down at the floor.
"I'm gonna miss you girls to." Ami cried as she held her arms out to the puffs.
"Ami mommy!" All three puffs yelled as they flew into Ami's arms and hugged her.
"I love you girls, and I'll miss you all so much!" Ami cried as she held the girls in her arms as tight as she could.
"We love you to Ami mommy!" All three puffs cried as they buried their faces in Ami's chest.
"Goodbye Ami, thank you so much for everything you've done for our family. We'll never forget you." The professor quietly said as he hugged Ami, shedding a few tears as he did.
"I'll never forget any of you either professor." Ami quietly cried as she hugged the professor back.
"T-turn it on Mojo." Blossom stuttered though her tears. Mojo nodded in reply then flipped a giant lever, which activated a large swirling portal that hovered slightly.
"When you step through this you'll be transported back to your universe. Assuming my calculations are correct you should end up within at the most a mile radius of where you were taken from." Mojo informed with a small smile.
"Thank you Mojo, you're not such a bad guy after all." Ami said with a smile as she hugged Mojo.
"Thank you Ami, Mojo will miss you very much." Mojo replied as he hugged Ami back. "Now get home, for it is Christmas Eve in your universe and your friends are waiting for you." Mojo said with a smile.
"Okay. Goodbye girls, Ami mommy loves you three so much. I'll always remember you, my sweet little puffs." Ami cried as she held her arms out to the girls.
"Ami mommy!" All three puffs cried as they threw themselves into Ami's arms and hugged her. "We love you Ami, we're gonna miss you!" Buttercup cried as she clung to Ami.
"I hope we see you again one day." Blossom cried as she also held onto Ami.
"Bye bye Ami mommy!" Bubbles yelled as tears rained from her eyes and she clung to Ami.
"Bye girls, I love you." Ami quietly cried as she set the girls down and walked over to the portal. "Goodbye professor, thank you for everything you did for me. I'll never forget any of you, or the wonderful things you did for me." Ami said with a sniffle as she looked back at the professor.
"I'll never forget you either Ami." The professor quietly cried as he picked the girls up and held them close.
"Wait. Before you leave, Mojo has something for you." Mojo informed as he pulled a small box with a red ribbon on it out of his pocket and handed it to Ami. "Merry Christmas Sailor Mercury, don't open it until Christmas day. For it is the ultimate surprise. Thank you for saving Mojo and the others from that wretched monster, all of Townsville owes you a debt. We'll never forget you Sailor Mercury." Mojo said with a smile as he hugged Ami.
"Thank you Mojo, I'll never forget any of you guys either. You really gave meaning to the name beat alls when you stood up to Reaper like that, I knew there was good in all of you." Ami quietly said as she hugged Mojo back. "Goodbye everyone, I hope we'll see each other again one day." Ami quietly said as she stepped up to the portal.
"Bye Ami mommy, we love you!" All three puffs shouted as they watched Ami leave.
"I love you to girls." Ami quietly said as she stepped through the portal. There was a blinding flash of white light, and a moment later it was gone, along with Ami.
"AMI MOMMY!" All three puffs cried as they stared at the portal.
"It's okay girls, this was the right thing to do. I'm so proud of you three." The professor quietly said as he hugged the girls as tight as he could.
"Will we ever see Ami mommy again?" Buttercup asked through her tears as she stared at the professor.
"Yes, Mojo knows you will see her again. Just be brave and patient, for you will not be separated forever." Mojo answered with a smile as he walked away.
"I hope Mojo's right, I wanna see Ami mommy again." Bubbles quietly cried as she stared at the portal.
"Us to Bubbles." Blossom cried as she held her hand out to Bubbles.
"I want her to come back soon." Buttercup quietly cried as she held one of Blossom's hands while Bubbles grabbed the other.
