The Shocking Truth about Serena

Ash and his Pikachu had just returned to the Kanto Region from the Aloha Region after winning the Aloha League. Ash and Pikachu had a blast in the Aloha Region but they were really happy and glad to be home where they belonged.

"I still can't believe it, Pikachu." Ash said. "We actually won a Pokemon League."

"Pikachu!"

"Yeah buddy and who knows what challenge we'll face next?" Ash said. "But I think we've earned ourselves a well deserved rest at Pallet Town."

Ash and Pikachu walked for a good amount of time reflecting on all the journeys, adventures and battles they had. Ever since they formed a friendship the first day they met, Ash protected Pikachu from the flock of Spearow and then Pikachu did the same in return. After walking for almost an hour they finally arrived back in Pallet Town.

"There it is Pikachu." Ash said. "We're home. Race ya!"

"Pikachu, Pi!"

Ash and Pikachu raced down the hill towards Pallet Town and they reached Ash's House together.

"We're home!" Ash said.

"Pika!"

"Mom! I'm home!" Ash called, as he and Pikachu entered the house.

"Pikachu!"

"Welcome home honey!" Delia Ketchum cried. "I'm so happy that you're finally home at last."

"I'm happy to be home to Mom." Ash said. "And I plan to rest before I go on another journey."

"Pikachu."

"That's nice to hear Ash." Delia smiled. "Oh by the way, all your friends are here."

"They are!" Ash gasped. "Where are they?"

"They're all at Professor Oak's Lab." Delia said. "They're waiting for you."

"Then that's where we'll go!" Ash said, as he ran out the door. "Come on Pikachu!"

"Pika, Pika!"

Ash and Pikachu raced to the lab with excitement and joy. Ash hadn't seen his friends for quite a long time and he couldn't wait to tell them all his adventures. Once they arrived at the lab Ash expected to see the Professor waiting for him outside which he was.

"Professor Oak!" Ash called.

"Ash and Pikachu!" Professor Oak greeted. "Welcome back."

"My Mom said that everyone's here!" Ash called. "Where are they?"

"They're all waiting inside the Lab." Professor Oak said. "Come and I'll show you."

With that Ash and Pikachu followed the Professor to the laboratory and entered to find it was dark.

"I can't see anything." Ash said.

Suddenly the lights all flickered on and the sound of party poppers were heard. Then all of Ash's old Travelling Companions Brock, Misty, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Clement, Bonnie, Serena, Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, Lana and Lillie along with some of his old rivals like Richie, Gary, Barry, Kenny, Paul, Trip, Sawyer, Alain and Gladion came out of their hiding places.

"Welcome home Ash and Pikachu!" Everyone called.

"Everyone!" Ash cried happily. "You all came to surprise me and Pikachu?"

"Yeah Ash, you really impressed us by winning the Aloha League!" Misty said.

May and Dawn then ran up to Ash and they gave him one hell of a hug.

"Ash, you made me so proud and happy!" May said. "I'm so proud of you!"

"That goes double for me too Ash!" Dawn smiled. "You've gotten even stronger!"

"As soon as we heard you were coming home, we had to throw this surprise party for you." Max said.

"It was all Serena's idea." Bonnie added. "She sent the word out to everyone and we all pitched in to set everything up."

"Thank you guys." Ash laughed. "You're all really great friends!"

"So how about we get this party started?" Iris asked.

With that said everyone began to party and celebrate Ash and his greatest moment yet.

That night after a long afternoon of partying, catching up with one another and even battling everyone decided to have a sleepover at the lab for the night. Ash was sleeping outside with all his Pokemon he left there.

As Pikachu slept he was suddenly awoken by the sound of chatting.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" A voice said.

"Pika?"

Pikachu, hearing the sound of chatting, was worried and gently nudged Ash to get his attention.

"Hmm?" Ash moaned as he woke up. "What's the matter, Pikachu?"

"Pikachu, Pika, Pikachu."

"You're saying that someone's here?" Ash asked which Pikachu nodded.

Thinking it might be a Pokemon Smuggler Ash decided to investigate. But when he found the person talking it wasn't a Pokemon Smuggler, but Serena who was talking to some cloaked figure in a hologram.

"What's Serena doing up this late?" Ash wondered. "And who's she talking to?"

"Of course I want to do this." Serena said. "I'm tired of Ash always going after a dream that's absolutely impossible to achieve! His win in Aloha was nothing but a fluke and he'll never really be a Pokemon Master! I need him to give up and become my boyfriend so I can finally achieve my dream of having Ash all to myself!"

"But you realise that the others won't betray him that easily." The cloaked figure said.

"Yes I know that, which is why I asked you to take captive those that are close to them!" Serena said. "If they refuse then you'll just kill them and it will be a win, win for me either way. If they don't agree and help me make Ash give up I'll just kill them myself, and if Ash doesn't give up well I'll just hypnotise him into giving up!"

"You really are an evil thinker aren't you?" The cloaked figure said.

"Of course, what'd you expect from an undercover agent of Team Flare Reborn?" Serena said, revealing her Team Flare uniform. "Lysandre will be avenged once I get Ash to be my boyfriend!"

Ash and Pikachu couldn't believe their ears and eyes. Serena, who Ash thought was someone he'd finally grown close to, had really been working undercover for a new Criminal Organisation called Team Flare Reborn.

"Understood Agent Serena." The cloak figure said. "Best of luck to you."

The hologram disappeared and Serena was now proud of herself. "Tomorrow I'll finally get Ash to be all mine!"

But what she failed to realise was that Ash and Pikachu had heard, seen and even recorded everything on Ash's Pokedex.

"We've gotta tell the others!" Ash said quietly.

"Pikachu!"

Ash and Pikachu quickly sprinted away back to the lab, hoping they could tell the rest of his friends and rivals before it was too late.

Can they make it in time before Serena convinces some of Ash's closest friends to betray him? The answers are soon to come as the journey continues…
