A/N: Hello everyone :).. I want to clarify something to you all.. I am a biggg Ranma 1/2 fan! But I love Akane more then I love Ranma :p.. I don't know why, but I always feel so attached with this motherless girl. Its like indeed she has a big family , but she is the loneliest! Sigh! I cant do anything about that! But, I will do something about that in this fic.. In my all fics, she will never be alone :) :)
~~"So, that's what has been decided today, Nabiki." Kasumi finished, sighing with tiredness as she pinched the bridge of her nose..
"You sound so tired, Onee-chan. You should go and take some rest.." Nabiki said over the phone.
"Okay dear…. But, don't you think I should wait till I talk about this with our aunt?"
"No, you don't have to stress about it.. I will let her know.."
"Okay, then.. And Nabiki.."
"Yes…"
"Please tell Aunt Suki especially about the fact that today all decisions were made by Ranma.. And he is taking really good care of our baby sister.."
Nabiki paused and sighs, "Okay.. I will let her know everything, don't worry.. Bye, take care.." ~~
Nabiki hung up and started to think of ways to approach her Aunt about all this. It's not what they were expecting to take place, so it won't be easy for her to make her Aunt digest all the new information. She couldn't think much as the front door suddenly opened, revealing none other than their Aunt Suki as she returned from her long run. It always amazes her to notice how much of a sheer image she is like Kasumi's. Their personality matches too, but she knows very well why their aunt had to be strong and cold hearted towards others. It's only for the three of them, her aunt Suki has sacrifice all of her life.
Suki wiped her face with a small towel and went straight to have some water first. She peeked at Nabiki while pouring the water in glass and asked her before sipping from the glass,
"What's with this troubled face, daughter? You know it doesn't suit you at all." Suki said firmly, as she drank more water.
"Aunt-Su, I just finished talking with Onee-chan.."
"Kasumi!" She looked at her as Nabiki nodded her head at her. "So, what she said, honey?" Suki asked softly as she made her way towards the open living area and seated herself on her soft leather sofa.
Nabiki sighs and tells her everything that Kasumi has told her.
"So.. That's what happened there today, Aunt-Su.. Oh and.." Nabiki paused as she looked at her Aunt's worn out expression..
"Oh and what, Nabiki?" She asked as she peeked up at her.
"Kasumi wanted me to tell you, especially that it was all Ranma's decision.. And he is really taking good care of our baby sister.."
Suki chuckled with no humor in it as she said while shaking her head,
"Ranma… Ranma.. Ranma, this guy is giving me a real headache these days.. Oh dear Kami.."
"Please Aunt-Su, don't be too hard on him, he is kind of.. I mean to say, he is not like.."
"His FATHER Genma!?" Suki glared up at her heatedly as she dared her to answer her..
"What I mean to say is.." Nabiki stopped, noticing how rigid her Aunt had become.
"I just can't believe you both girls are backing him!" Suki almost shouted in frustration.
"No! I am not backing no one Aunt.."
"Well it certainly looks like that to me..!" Suki snapped at her angrily.
"Aunt-Su, please calm down..!" Nabiki rushed to her and kneeled on the floor in front of her. Then she said to her face to face,
"I was with you, I am with you and I will always be with you.. You very well know that we see you as our Mother. How can we disobey you? You have sacrificed all your life for the three of us! It's just.. It's just.. We are totally clueless right now aunt. Just look, what we had planned for and what is happening! It's all so messed up now!"
Suki calmed down a bit and gently laid her palm over Nabiki's cheek as she whispers to her,
"You guys are all that I have left, Nabiki.. I love you guys with all my heart and soul. I won't let anyone harm you or your future.. You guys have given me time and waited patiently for me to succeed so that I can pull you guys out of those heartless people. Now that I have achieved everything, it's almost looking like I am losing as well. I think, I think I made a mistake by leaving you guys there with your father. I am scared that I won't be able to fulfil the promise that I made with your mother, Nabiki. My every plan backfired me, I was wrong all the time.. I have failed.."
"No, you haven't done anything wrong, aunt and you haven't failed yet! Why are you saying this all of a sudden?" Nabiki tried to assure her.
Suki sighed angrily and looked at her hard and said, "Can't you see what is happening, Nabiki? I always knew that Akane is just like her Mother, a complete clueless dumb! I shouldn't have left her side in the first place. That baka daughter of mine almost got married to that Genma's son! And with her own will as well! How could she do that! She should have known better! She knows what Genma did to her family!" She said with a panicky angry tone.
"Now, don't start panicking again! That's why I always hesitate to share any news related to him with you !" Nabiki sighs worriedly and says, "Yes, she was an idiot to go through with that wedding! But we didn't let her, did we? We managed to stop that from happening, right? And thanks to your quick plan, we managed to pull her out of that mess..!"
"Yes but I still just can't believe what happened that particular day! They bombed the whole Dojo! How could they! What type of relationship Akane is trying to get herself hooked to?! I am surprised, Nabiki! What do you think? Why does that dojo break? For that earthquake! NO WAY! It happened because of all those crazy things that took place there that day! Trust me, I am really disappointed with Akane, she shouldn't have agreed for that wedding.."
"Aww Aunt, please don't beat that poor girl this much.. You know how hard she is struggling from the very beginning! She tried her best, you know. It's not easy at all to act like a complete opposite of what you really are! She is the one who had to be guarded all the time. And the unusual, so uncharacterized acting she had to do every single day in front of everyone, trust me, I used to feel pity for my baby sister. You know very well that she is the most soft-hearted and sensitive among the three of us.. But, still she listened to your instructions all the time, didn't she? Being violent and tomboy every single moment! Beating hentai hord every morning is another thing and being a crazy violent tomboy every second of the day is not an easy task at all.. It was really hard for her..! But she stuck to your plan. Whether she had to listen to the unfair criticism from others, she never cared much about that too. She never gave up on you.. And she did all this only because her mother had asked her to do so... "
Suki sighs as her eyes tear up when she hears about her precious little daughter. She clears her throat and says with a shaky tone..
"That's what bothers me the most, Nabiki. She is so dear to me and openly calls me her mother. She trusted me with this engagement and it feels like I have failed her, somehow. I feel that because of my delayed action, she got herself badly bounded with those crazy people. That daughter of mine has finally caught into their trap! And you remember, what reason she give me when I asked her about her sudden mind change! She said she heard him yelling that he loves her! But what he did to her next! He neglects it on her face! Wow! Well, that's WHAT we should expect from that Genma's son..! No surprise at all!"
Suki's whole body shook with venom and disgust! Nabiki shook her head defeated as she stood up and started pulling her aunt to get up as well,
"It's okay! Don't think too much about it! Akane will give her exam for the University here within a few days. She will join us soon. Then you can scold her and keep her secure to yourself.. Now go and take a bath and I will prepare a quick breakfast for my mumma!" She finished as she gently pushed her towards her room.
"Okay! Okay!.." She said smiling, then pausing at the entrance of her room, she turned towards Nabiki and asked her,
"Say, honey.. Kasumi's wedding is within a month, right?"
"No, I think it's been delayed for one more month.. You know Akane has to get herself prepared for the upcoming exams. And they wanted her to finish all her exams first, so that she can enjoy the wedding fully..."
Suki nodded her head, then she thought for some moments and said, "Then.. I will attend her wedding too.."
"What! You are going! Really!" She asked not believing her ears.
Suki smirked at her and said, "Well, yes dear! I will personally go there and release my daughter from whatever trap she has gotten herself into. I will make sure she comes with me and no one stops her. I can't risk it anymore! Finally, It's time to reveal myself to them…"
A week later..
"Honestly! What is that baka doing, anyway? Our finals are in two days! And he is not studying at all!"
She huffed with irritation as she tried to concentrate on her study. She is currently at her new shared room, studying by herself as the evening sky was making her sleepy for some reason. She was badly missing her Jerk of a fiancée. A frown plastered on her face as she started thinking about Ranma and the reasons for his everyday absence..
' Where is he? What is he doing? Where does he always disappear to after school? Where is he going? And not only that, he returns home too late as well! What's going on with that baka! What is he up to! He should at least wait till he finishes his exam, right? It's not like I am missing him or anything but… I feel so lonely here without him..'
Akane sighs sadly as she thinks about all this. She tried to return to her study when suddenly she heard the room door opening. She turned and saw her Onee-chan entering the room and carrying a big parcel with her.
"Akane, this parcel came for you.."
"For me!" Akane asked, surprised.
"Yes, somebody put it on the doorway.."
"But who will send me one ?!"
"Just open it up, I am sure there will be some name on it.."
Kasumi laid that big box in front of her and sat down facing her sister. With hesitant hands, Akane opened the box, dreading that it might be from Kuno or Kodachi. But when she opened it, they both became stunned to see what was laid inside of it. Akane started to pull out things one by one and said in an unbelievable tone,
"Clothes!"
"Not only clothes, Akane..! Here is everything that you wanted to have so badly, before your exam starts..!"
"Yes! But, I only told you about that! I haven't said it to anyone else! Who could have sent this!"
Kasumi smiled warmly and said politely, "Whoever sends it to you must be your well wisher. Good thing is, now you don't have to wear kimonos anymore on your exam days!"
Akane looked up at Kasumi and said,
"But I can't accept this gift till I find out who sent it.."
Kasumi started to check the now empty box to find any names there, but sighed defeated when she found none.
"No clue, dear.."
Akane smiled at her and was about to put all the things back in the box when suddenly a small piece of paper came out from it… Akane hastily took it and opened the paper to read what's written there and it said..
"It's not from someone whom ya think it's from. And it's not from any bad guy as well. So, use them!"
They both looked up at each other in complete surprise, too stunned to even form any words. Then, suddenly Kasumi spoke up with her usual trademark line,
"Oh my! Who that might be! Do you have any idea, Imouto!?"
They both shared a look and within a second, they both busted out laughing.. Akane was clutching to her belly as laid back to the ground laughing hard as she said in between her laughter,
"Oh my God! That baka! What am I gonna do with him!"
Kasumi stopped laughing and looked at her baby sister with love. Then she heard her laughter stopped as she hurriedly sits up and asked her,
"But, Onee-chan! This is.. I mean how did he manage to buy all of this?!"
Kasumi smiled warmly at her and said gently,
"Why don't you ask him yourself, dear.."
Akane growled and said while whining,
"I barely had time to talk to him.. He was way too busy this whole week and when he returns home, I can't go to talk to him because of our dads! "
She finished as she sighed with sadness. Seeing her imouto, Kasumi smiled and stood up to leave her alone. But before leaving she stood by the door and said while turning to her,
"Oh! I almost forgot to tell you! Our dads went on a training trip and I think they won't be back home for at least ten days..!"
Saying that with an innocent tone, she winked at her and left without saying anything else. Akane waited till her sister closed the door properly and when she did, she squealed slowly to herself as she flopped back down on the floor again, hugging the cloths tightly to her heart..
