Steps echoes through the dim lit hallway that is colored in gray. Raynare walks at the front, leading both Schynzel and Ren to the meeting room. The air around the three is tense, with most exerted from the two at the back. Schynzel shows weariness in his eyes for the upcoming conference while Ren has her right hand gripping the handle of the katana, an expression of hostile plastered on her face.

A large gray door comes into view at the end of the hallway. Raynare stops in front and touch it with her right hand, but before pushing, she glances at the two "Do behave and that's directed towards you, Ren" she states which gets a glare from the purple-haired woman "Glare at me as much as you want but throw that look at my Mistress and those eyes are going to be ripped off… That's my warning" Raynare retort, though her voice remains tranquil there's a hint of force behind it "She'll behave" Schynzel reassures and glance at his subordinate "Understood, Ren?" "… Of course, Master."

Satisfied with the answer, Raynare returns to the door and pushes both forward to create ample space for an entrance. The meeting room is massive but holds lots of empty spaces. At the center is a large gray marble table with long black chairs placed at the sides. There's one large and more royal looking silver colored chair set at the front of the table, reserved for none other than Sayomi Dracul.

The room is brightened by silver magic light orbs that stick to the walls from the corners and sides, giving enough light to be presentable but not too bright to be a hassle to look. The room didn't include any windows to reveal the outside view, giving this place a feeling for only the critical and private meetings to be held.

At the back of the large room exists dense shadows considering the light orbs isn't placed anywhere near there. A figure suddenly flies forward, bursting of the shadows and rushing toward the three. Schynzel's body tense, Ren jumps in front of him to protect while Raynare remains still. The figure comes down and splatters in front of the three. Ren examines and silently gasps at the pale corpse laid on the floor. The carcass shows a middle-aged woman and is a devil with those familiar wings sprouted out from the back, indicating she was in hostile behavior before being killed. Her eyes roll up to leave empty whiteness, saliva runs down her mouth, her skin is milky pale, and there's a horrendous amount of blood dripping down from her neck. Ren inspects closely and sees two bite marks on the woman's soft skin 'Vampire…' is the word that crosses her mind. She looks up when hearing footstep comes from the shadows, then those striking glowing blood-red slit eyes open from the darkness, causing sweat to form on her forehead.

Slowly walking out of the shadow is Sayomi, staring pointedly at Schynzel and Ren with a sharp gaze that impales into their heart. Blood can be seen on her lip before it is lick away. A keen smirk makes way on Sayomi's mouth that sends chills down Ren's spine while gives Schynzel an unsettling feeling about this meeting.

Raynare takes steps to the side as Sayomi strides toward the two guests. "How have you been doing, Schynzel?" the Pureblood stops a meter away from the two, crossing her arms under her chest, that smirk remains "It's been a while since we last met" "It has indeed, Lady Sayomi" Schynzel answers and gives a respective bow with his head "I have been doing fine, thanks for asking."

Ren silently grits her teeth when watching her Master bowed toward the Pureblood Vampire, but she didn't say anything and stepped to the side for the two to properly face each other. "Tell me," Sayomi starts "How has the recruitment assignment been progressing?" she asks the question that Schynzel dreaded from being asked. 'She's playing me,' the blonde utters in his mind with anger but remain calm outside.

Schynzel thinks of an answer, trying to play his cards right, knowing one wrong move could lead to his death, and he isn't planning on joining the dead once again. 'Lying will serve me no good,' he glances at the other Vampire in the room 'Raynare is Sayomi's eyes and ears… I bet my life that Sayomi already holds knowledge of Daigo and my involvement in him. That also means she knows that I put Nawin Makasha in a life-threatening danger…'

"I have failed to recruit one… He was a disappointment" Schynzel gives an honest answer "A man who needed help from a primitive enhance potion shouldn't even be in your sight, Schynzel" Sayomi reply in a sharp tone, like a blade "I was more interested in his connection in the underworld, Lady Sayomi" "That so?" "Yes, having a connection to the underworld crimes would serve us very well. Getting forbidden knowledge would be much easier and can serve our goal in the future" "While I agree with you on the matter of connection to the underworld crimes… I did not remember giving you an order to pursue it" she states, her eyes narrow "You disappoint me, Schynzel."

Sayomi takes a step forward and starts heading toward the blonde man. Ren's eyes widen at this, seeing the Pureblood's eyes glow in evil intentions as she makes way to her master. The purple-haired woman teleports in front of Schynzel and unsheathes her katana, but she was only able to get the weapon out half-way before Sayomi appears in front and sends a backhand to the side of her face. Schynzel watches Ren is send blasting to the right and crash into a wall, embedded into it. He sweats a bit, witnessing the Pureblood discard his second in command like a fly, swatting it away and treating like it's a nonsense.

Sayomi looks intently at Schynzel's eyes "What I'm most upset about is not you failing on finding a recruit, but it's your actions on Daigo that almost got Nawin Makasha killed… I'm getting very sick and tired of repeating this to my idiot brother and now to you, Schynzel" she utters in a low but powerful tone that would send chills and give cold sweats to any lowly beings. A dark smirk makes way on the Pureblood's face "Remember after the Incubus incident? That if you disappoint me once more I'll get rid of you, Schynzel? If you can't tell I am very disappointed in you right now" she declares.

"I'll stop my interest in Nawin Makasha then" Schynzel quickly replies, knowing this is the big reason on why the Pureblood is livid at him "That so?" Sayomi ask, raising an eyebrow in skeptical, not trusting the man's word "If that will grant me another chance to appease with you, Lady Sayomi" he said in respect, bowing his head "I'll stop my personal goal on pursuing him and focus on the task you have bestowed on me."

Sayomi takes a step back; her eyes gaze hard at the man's face "… Fine, but I'll warn you, Schynzel. If there's one more mistake I find from you I'm burying you fifty feet under the ground where I found you, understood?" she questions and gets a nod from the man "I understood, I'll continue to work hard on the main objective you have given me" "That's what I like to hear. I'll no longer leave the recruiting program to you because you have failed me twice now with it" she states, "Then who'll be taking the task?" Schynzel asks, curious.

Sayomi rests her right hand on her hip "Noel will be taking the task. I have already sent him to Kuoh. Therefore, he can start searching one from there" "I see" "With that cleared." Sayomi turns around and starts walking "Take your subordinate and get out of my sight. And remember," she stops, turning around to send a warning glare at the blonde "One more misstep from you and its over" "Understood," Schynzel reply with a nod.

After pulling the unconscious Ren out of the wall, Schynzel exits the room and depart to his castle by teleportation. Raynare watches the doors slam shut before turning to her Mistress, seeing her standing at the same spot, staring at the shadows with an unreadable expression plastered on her face. "Do you believe his words?" Raynare question "No, not one bit. Schynzel despises Yao and Jonathan. He hungers revenge, and the best way to strike where it most hurts is to go after their children" "From what I've seen his intention doesn't seem to kill Nawin" Raynare remark "Yes, I've noticed… He wants Nawin to join him. That's his goal. He wants to hurt Yao and Jonathan the most painful way possible and what could be worst then forced to fight against your child and even perhaps forced to kill them" Sayomi assert.

Raynare's eyes flash in anger before returning to normal "He is a fool to think that could be achievable" "I agree, but Schynzel is a smart man… He has planned things quite well" "What do you mean?" "The recruitment missions I have given him," Sayomi turns to look at Raynare "It isn't a coincidence that both times he is interested in a recruit, it has ultimately led him in some way to Nawin." "That is true," Raynare agrees "He was studying Nawin" she states and receives a nod from the Pureblood "That man is smart and cunning… A dangerous combination no doubt and it is also the reason why I have brought him back and keeping him alive. The man has his uses, and his past with Yao and her group will benefit us in the future."

Raynare opens her mouth once more, though first a bit hesitant but decides to ask a question that has been on her mind for so long "Then tell me, Mistress" she starts "Why did you bring me back?" "Hmm…" Sayomi smirk at the question and strides toward the black-haired woman. Stopping beside her subordinate, Sayomi place her right hand on Raynare's shoulder, giving a light squeeze "Because you and I share one specific goal… Raynare" she whispers, and glance down at the necklace worn around the black-haired vampire's neck before removing her hand and makes way to the doors, leaving the shocked woman to recollect her words.

Mirstone

Camp just outside the small town of Mirstone is the group of four devils and a troll. They decided instead of staying in an Inn which was offered entirely free by the Mayor, but the group decided to reject the offer considering they don't feel comfortable with leaving Bork outside to sleep on his own while they enjoy the comfortable beds offered in the Inn. This action no doubt made the Troll happy and gave all four a big hug, which almost crushed the poor boys that are utterly exhausted from the journey.

Now, sited around the extinguished campfire are Issei, Jellal, and Bork. All three have already woken up and is currently waiting for Erza to return from the town with their breakfasts. One of the tents' zip suddenly unfastens and create the noise that made the three turns. "Ah, sleeping beauty has risen from his slumber" Issei jest with a smile, watching Nawin exiting the tent and walking towards them "That's how I maintain my looks. A bit more of sleep and you could look better, Issei" Nawin remark which gets Jellal and Bork to chuckle while the Hyoudou's eyebrow twitch.

Jellal smile, watching the Makasha takes a seat on the clean grass ground beside Bork. "How you feeling?" "Better," Nawin sighs, looking at the town, specifically examining the people's face. Gone are the grim and hopelessness look from before, now its beaming with happiness and smiles. Kids are jogging around together, giggling as they play a game of tag. The adults laughing at their children's antics while others work hard on their daily routine but this time with a smile and life in their eyes.

"The village has changed," Jellal converses, seeing the Makasha staring at the people "Yeah…" "They practically threw us up in the air when we returned" Issei assert, chuckling "Shows how relief they are that the nightmares of the wraith are gone. Now they no longer need to fear to step outside" Nawin reply, calmly. "People even give Bork foods!" the Troll exclaims, rubbing his stomach "Really?" "You passed out shortly after being thrown around, so you didn't see it, but the people quickly warm up to Bork after we explain how much of a help he was to us in the journey" Issei informs to the Makasha "Ah, that's great to hear. It is true," Nawin turn to the Troll, smiling "Without you, Bork we would not have made it out of the Specbok Marsh" "Hehehe, Bork happy to help friends!"

"So," Jellal claps his hands together and shifts to the Makasha "Satisfied with how this journey turned out?" he questions, seeing a bigger smile form on Nawin's face "Yeah, everything turned out great. It's been quite a fun ride, and" he turns to the town "It's a big bonus that we were able to help people along the way" "Yeah…" Jellal nod in agreement.

"You know you're really something, Nawin," the Fernandes abruptly comment, catching everyone's attention and turns to him "What you mean?" the other asks "I don't know how but you were able to make Erza put the people first before her code of bounty hunter… She told me last night of what happened in the Mayor's office. Told how you persuaded her to accept the contract and to even go as far as accepting for low payment" Jellal looks up, staring at the Makasha in the eyes, smiling "That has never happened before" "She needed the push," Nawin reply, his eyes return to the town "Erza has a kind-heart and sooner or later she won't be able to uphold that bounty hunter code," "Yeah," Jellal sigh "I know that… Our time as a bounty hunter is on a deadline. Even though she doesn't show it, she's not enjoying the business of it anymore, and this will serve to push her on the fact further."

Issei crosses his arms, a look of concern form on his face "What will you two do then when the time comes?" "I honestly don't know," Jellal shrugs "We haven't discussed that, but we surely will soon," "Don't need to be troubled by that now," Nawin insert "That's for the future, and the future is an endless possibility."

The boys suddenly turn by a footstep heard in the distance that undoubtedly belongs to Erza. They watch her striding towards them with two plastic boxes held on each hand. "Got you, boys, your breakfasts!" she states out loud "Thanks," Nawin smile "I am famished" "Bet you are since you didn't have any dinner yesterday" Erza reply and pass the biggest box to the Makasha "That's why I got you the biggest box" "Oh… I love you" Nawin whispers in a daze, taking the box and hungrily looks at it while the rest chuckles at his comment and expression.

Erza turns and pass the boxes to Jellal and Issei "Now, for you, Bork" she turns to the Troll and with a flick of index and middle finger, a large cut, and cooked steak appears in midair then drops in front of Bork "Erza the best!" he beams and immediately grabs the steak by its side to begin chomping it. Erza giggles and takes a seat beside Nawin, joining him on the ground since Issei and Jellal occupied the small log.

The Devils open their boxes and see a steamy cook of two sunny sides up eggs, two large toasts, three sausages, four slices of bacon, and two chicken wings. Of course, having the larger box Nawin gets some extra eggs, slices of bacon, and wings. Issei sniff and moans "Oooh, that smells delicious!" he exclaims and turn to see Nawin already digging in with the wooden fork and knife, utterly devouring everything in the box "Damn, you really are starving!"

The rest quickly digs into their food. Issei and Erza join in with the Makasha on just devouring their food while Jellal is the only one eating it in a moderate pace. Nawin takes the last piece of bacon to his mouth and chews "So," he swallows and speak, turning to the Hyoudou "I see that your right eye is normal now. I'm taking a guess that's the reason you won the yesterday battle so effortlessly. You used your secret ability?" he questions "Yeah," Issei nod "I used that to turn the tide" "Flip the tide," Erza adds "Daigo utterly stood no chance even with the power of the gemstone against you, Issei" "Guess so," the Hyoudou shrugs and Nawin mentally smile at this, seeing his friend not gaining cockiness or arrogance by the win.

"Now that you used it," Nawin start "Mind explaining to us what exactly did that ability do? I didn't get to see it, so I'm completely blank on it" "Sure," Issei takes a sip from a bottle of water before placing it down beside his feet. "It's an idea that came from Hunter-sensei," he starts "Hunter-sensei?" Jellal repeats in confusion, the same expression held on Erza's face "Issei is a student of an Archdevil… She also goes by the name Kaliyah," Nawin inserts. "Kaliyah?!" Erza's eyes snap wide and turn to the Hyoudou "You are her student?!" "Hehehe, yeah" Issei chuckles, scratching his head "Did not expect that in a million years," Jellal state, surprise "Out of all the Archdevils she is the most ambiguous one, but the fact about her that is widely known is that she's a lone-wolf."

Issei nod "You're not wrong about that, but she was able to adjust to the teacher's role fairly quick even though most time she is hard on me… I can't complain because I see the results" "From yesterday's performance," Erza points "I say she's doing a good job" "So, what exactly is this ability?" Jellal ask. "It's not something that complex," Issei state "What I do is use the Boost ability and stored it behind my right eye. So, what I do is, twice a day I would activate the Boost ability and store it into my right eye, leaving it there as like insurance until a situation arises for me to release it. Hunter-sensei told me to do this after getting a full understanding on my Boost ability" he explains.

Nawin pulls the bottle of water away from his lip, placing it down before glancing at his friend "That sounds like an ability that would hold a severe side effect" he asserts "Correct," Issei nod, a bit solemnly "Right now I can't use my powers, so I'm basically as weak as an average human. I will be powerless for twenty-four hours because my body needs to recover from all that mana being unleashed at once. Also, storing in my eye like that could risk me going blind if I used the ability too much" "I thought as much," the Makasha nods.

Erza points the fork at Issei "So, you shouldn't be using that again" she states, concern for the Hyoudou "Don't worry, I won't" he replies, smiling "Hunter-sensei also told me when I released it that I should not go back to the process of storing my mana into my right eye. Honestly, I think she told me about this technique because she wanted it to be the last resort for the tournament… Giving me the best chance to win it" "Fascinating, sounds like she was watching out for your interest, Issei" Jellal state "Yeah," the Hyoudou smile warmly "Now that I think about it you may be right, Jellal."

Erza swallows the last piece of sausage and glances at the Makasha "So, if Issei's teacher is Kaliyah then who's yours, Nawin?" "Azazel," he answers "Of course," Erza chuckles, shaking her head "Someone of that high statue. Issei's teacher is an Archdevil and yours the Leader of the Fallen Angel Faction. You two sure are destined for big things" "Perhaps…" Nawin whispers, dropping the empty box down to the ground and take another drink from the bottle of water.

Jellal close his breakfast box and place it on the ground "So," he turns to the Makasha "What's next?" "Heading back to Clayborg," Nawin answers and turns his head to the side, watching the Troll finish the last piece of the steak "I want to make sure Bork gets back to his home safely," "Sounds good," Issei nod in agreement.

The Troll perks when hearing his name being mentioned and turns to the devils "Bork will be fine!" he exclaims, grinning "Friends no need to worry," "If it was under a different circumstance than I would agree, but I am worried that Daigo's remaining men may come for vengeance, Bork" Nawin speaks, closing the cap on the empty bottle and place it down next to the box on the ground "I don't feel comfortable having you walk back there on your own" "Also it isn't a hassle for us," Erza adds "We are heading back to Vesarima, so we are heading back on the same direction" "Ah, Bork understand. Puny bad guys may still come out."

Issei swallows the last piece of egg "You think that's possible?" he asks, "Better we take it in consideration than not" Nawin reply, standing up and start stretching to ease his muscles "Yeah, guess you're right."

"Hello!" a voice shouts from a distance, aiming at the group. They turn to see the Mayor and his assistance walking towards them, a beaming smile plastered on his and the girl's face which causes Nawin and Erza to smile, glad seeing the two in a better and positive mood compared to when they first met them. "Nawin! It's good to see you awake" the shorter man stops in front of the Makasha "The villagers and we were concerned when you suddenly passed out" the orange-haired girl inserts "Sorry for that, but the journey has been stressful. I took quite a beating in the last battle" Nawin apologize "Ah, it's alright! I'm just glad you came out of it alive."

Nawin looks at the young girl "I've never got your name," he states "O-oh!" she blushes in embarrassment before shooting her right arm up "I-it's Jenna" "I see," the Makasha smile and accepts the girl's hand, shaking it "Pleasure to meet you, Jenna. It's good to see you smiling now" he states, then slowly retract his hand. From behind the group snigger when seeing the poor girl's blushing face, apparently developing a bit of admiration for the Makasha.

Erza places the empty box down and walks forward, stopping beside Nawin "Is there something you need, Mayor?" she asks "Ah yes! I forgot to pay you for your service!" the man exclaims with a chuckle, reaching to his right pocket and pulls out a small pouch, dangles of gold coins can be heard in it. The look of surprise form on Erza's face since she has completely forgotten about the reward. Jellal's eyes focus on his partner, wondering what action she'll take.

Looking at the pouch, unable to think of a decision if she should take it. Erza glance to the side and sees Nawin smiling at her, not giving any indication on what to do, leave her to choose on her own. A smile form on Erza's lip and she reaches toward the pouch to push it back to the Mayor, an action that surprises him along with Jenna. "It's fine," Erza speaks, retreating her hand, smiling "You guys keep it… You'll need it more than us" she states and glances toward the town "I've seen some building needs repairing along with other stuff that the wraiths damaged… Use that money to help you get your people's life and town back together, Mayor Kald."

Tears form in the Mayor's eyes by the kind gesture and words from the Scarlet. Sniffing, he wipes the tears with his left arm and smiles "Thank you very much, Erza! You are such a kind soul" "It's not just me," Erza claps her hand on the Makasha's shoulder "He's the biggest part to thank on all of this, Mayor. If it weren't for him then my mind would be quite different and no doubt we would never step foot in Mirstone" "Yes," Kald turns to Nawin, smiling widely in gratitude "Your quest has led you all to us" he states then bows with Jenna following suite "We thank you, Nawin Makasha!"

"I was glad to help you all," Nawin softly replies, wearing a warm smile "It brings a smile on my face seeing you two and the villagers able to be happy again. It is such a great difference compared to when we first set foot here. But, it is just not me" he glances at the rest of the group "All of us play a part for this" "Yes," Kald stand straight, offer a smile to Jellal, Issei, and Bork "I thank you all!" "Glad we could help!" Issei exclaims, giving a thump up "It's been a pleasure assisting you," Jellal state, smiling "Bork happy that Mirstone people are happy now!" the Troll exclaims with a wide grin.

Jenna tilts her head, still not used for a creature to be so positive and kind. Erza spot this and chuckle "He's an interesting one, isn't he?" she comments, causing the young girl to turn to her "Yes," Jenna giggles "It's very foreign for us to see creatures being this kind, especially trolls since I've read about them in the books and it is said they are a wild and violent creatures" "That's where the phrase of don't judge a book by its cover comes to play" Nawin insert "Bork has been a great help for us and as you can see he's delighted to see your village are free from the wraiths."

The peaceful conversation comes to a halt when the group feels dozens of magic signatures entering their range. "That's…" Erza and the rest turn around to spot a battalion of bandits marching towards Mirstone. "As I expected," Nawin speaks, his eyes sharpen "Daigo's remaining men are coming for vengeance" "Didn't expect them to be this quick though," Jellal state, crossing his arms and start scanning through all the men "There are approximately a hundred men there."

Nawin turn to see Kald and Jenna shaking, an expression of fear plastered on their face "Hey," he calls, softly, making the two turn to see his reassuring smile "Don't worry, we'll take care of them" "Yeah, trust me" Issei grins "We've fought through much tougher guys so this is a piece of cake for us" "You know what," Erza steps forward, making everyone turn to her "You boys already did a lot yesterday, so I'll take care of this" "Oh," Jellal raise an eyebrow in amusement "You sure?" "You honestly think I need assistance?" Erza asks in a deadpan manner "Ahaha, nope."

Nawin chuckle and cross his arms, watching the Scarlet stride toward the incoming battalion "Mayor," he calls out "Y-yes?" "Head back to the town and warn the villagers to retreat indoors, especially the children since it's going to get violent" "Understood," Kald nod and turns around "Let's go Jenna" "Yes, sir." The two rush back to the village and start instructing everyone to head in their homes for an emergency.

When seeing their Mayor pointing out the battalion marching towards them, the villagers immediately complies, dropping what they're doing and grabs their children before rushing to their houses, slamming the doors shut behind them. Lots peaks through the windows, curious to see how the battle will unfold while silently wishing Erza luck. Children try to take a peek next to their older siblings or parents, but they are pushed away. Seeing now that all his people are safe inside, Kald stands in front of the town with Jenna beside, both anxiously waiting for the battle to commence.

"You sure she's going to be ok?" Issei asks Jellal, who replies by giving him a look of astonish "I know you've never seen her at her best, Issei, but trust me, Erza is the strongest person I have ever battled. She will wipe the floor with those guys without breaking a sweat. It's honestly insulting you ask that question. Good thing for you that she didn't hear that, or she'll give you hell" "O-oh, alright" Issei shivers a bit, remembering how scary the Scarlet can be when angered.

Erza continues causally striding toward the battalion. Both parties gaining distance toward each other. The leader that's leading the group is on a horse, riding in front. He suddenly pulls the rein, stopping the horse which also signals the battalion to halt. All watch Erza walking toward them, holding a tranquil expression on her face.

"That's the woman that Hoka speaks off!" one of the men yells "She's going to fight us alone? Is this bitch stupid?!" "Ahaha, seems so" "Let's finish her quick and get to the rest! We need to take vengeance for Boss and Hoka!" "Yeahhh!" the men let out a cry of determination; their morale heightens when seeing their opponent is only a single woman. The leader smirk and unsheathes his sword, bringing it down to point at Erza "You and your group killed our friends and leader! For that we take vengeance at you and your group!" he exclaims.

Erza stops a few meters away from the army of men. "You boys have big mouths, but can it bite?" she asks, bringing her right hand down to the handle of the broadsword "I've been itching for some action… Can you boys provide that?" she asks, smirking "Oh, we'll give you a good action alright" one of them said in an obvious sexual tone and the others burst out laughing. In response, Erza takes out a dagger from the back pouch and throws it to the person who commented, the blade goes right into his mouth, piercing through his tongue and jam onto the back of his mouth.

"Ahhhhhh!" the man screams while the rest stop laughing and watch in horror at their comrades, seeing him fall onto the ground and rolls around in pain. A significant amount of blood built inside his mouth before pouring out from his lip.

A look of anger form on Erza's face and her heating glare aims directly at the men, which cause many to stumble back in fear, seeing the intense power behind those raging brown orbs. Slowly unsheathing her sword that creates a shivering hiss noise, Erza smirk darkly "You bastards just pissed me off… Now you all will face my Wrath!" she exclaims and kicks herself off the ground, leaping in the air to comes crashing down right at the center of the battalion.

Erza hits the ground and immediately gets to work. Pouring mana into the sword's blade, making it glow in scarlet color. She roars and perform a full three-sixty-degree swing and produce a blast in a shape of a circle that forms around her, drawn by the tip of the sword. Erza stops and with a smirk, points her sword up to fire off the blast. The glowing circle goes through the midsection of the bandits, slicing them in half like a laser. The ring disburses a few feet's away from the user, but it was able to dismember dozens of bandits along the way.

The other bandits are in shock, but they quickly recuperate and with a roar, charge at the Scarlet from all directions. Some stay behind to start charging up a magic blast then discharge them. Erza takes one step forward before breaking into a sprint, charging toward the north group. The magic missiles come from behind and the sides, speeding toward the Scarlet. Seeing this, Erza sprints faster to a man in front of her view. He launches a spear forward, but it is easily dodged by the woman sidestepping then grabs him by the shirt and throws him behind. Erza leaps to the air as the missiles head toward the screaming man and contact him to create a massive explosion that wipes him and numbers of bandits that's nearby.

Erza narrowly avoids the blast and looks beneath to see herself coming down on a pool of bandits. All of them aim their weapons up, intending to impale her on landing. "Using your brains for once," she comments insultingly then throws her sword to the bandits. The sword spins toward the men and starts redirecting when it was about to hit the ground. The weapon blazes forward and starts cleaving through numbers of men, cutting them in half or severing their legs. The sword continues moving around and cutting down anyone in its path. When it's clear for landing, Erza brings her right arm forward, and the sword shoots back up the air and returns to her hand.

Erza comes down and lands on the bloody ground full of dead bandits and missing limbs. The remaining bandit's morale starts decreasing, witnessing the Scarlet cleared through half of their comrades without retrieving a scratch or even breaking a sweat. "Ahh!" the Leader suddenly throws his lance forward, the weapon explodes in a yellow aura and impacts the ground near the Scarlet to discharge a powerful shockwave that sends the woman sliding backward.

"W-what?!" the leader utters in shock, watching Erza bring her left arm down from her face and looks up at him, no damage or any sign of injuries shown. "What was that?" she asks, genuinely confuse "Was that really supposed to be an attack?" "Ahhhh!" the man howls and in blind rage charge toward the Scarlet on the horse, readying the sword in his right hand.

A group comes charging from the right, trying to distract the woman. All the men swing their weapons forward, and Erza dodges all the strikes. Sidestepping the sword swings, leaning her body to the sides to avoid the lances strikes, counter the axes with her sword. Done playing around, Erza starts going on the offensive. She counters another blow from the axe and shoots her sword forward, piercing the man right through his heart. She pulls the sword and steps to the right to avoid a charging lance then swings her sword forward to the side and cleave through the man, cutting him into two pieces.

Two men remain, and both stop by the right and left before swinging their swords to the side, cornering the Scarlet. Erza response with a jump, avoiding the strikes then extends her legs to the side, smashing both to the men's face and sends them sliding away, barely able to stand on their feet. Momentarily stunned by the hard kicks, Erza takes advantage and cast her sword to the man on the right then turns to the left and sprint toward the other man.

The flying sword penetrates directly at the middle of the man's chest and sends him crashing to the ground "Ahhhhh!" he yells in pain. Erza sends a quick uppercut to other the man then gives a roundhouse kick to the face that sends him spiraling through the air. Erza sees the man lose his grip on the sword, so she catches it and swings it sideways in blazing speed that chops that man's head off before he crashes on the ground. Erza tosses the sword down and watches the corpse and its head crash on the field.

Hearing the horse's steps from behind, Erza extend her right arm to the side, and the broadsword pulls apart from the man's body and speed toward her. Catching her weapon, Erza snaps around and swings the sword upwards. The blade narrowly misses the horse's head and speed to the rider, diagonally cleaving through his body. The sword on the corpse's hand drop before the rest follows. Blood exploded from the opened area as the two-body parts collapse to the ground.

Erza watches the horse bolts pass her, speeding away from the battle which makes her smile, glad she wasn't forced to kill it. Her expression returns to serious as she turns around to scan the remaining forces, but only to blink in confusion when seeing all the bandits are running away, retreating to the far distance on the sides, getting away from her and hurry to the entrance of the ravine where they came.

"What the hell?!" Erza shouts at them "That's it?! You guys are such a disappointment!" she berates the frighten bandits. "That is… Scary," Issei whispers, astonished by the scene that just unfolds between the Scarlet Slayer and the bandits, "Told you," Jellal state, chuckling "She not someone you want to mess with" "Erza is the strongest woman Bork as ever seen!"

The whole time Nawin has his eyes focus on Erza, calculating and examining her techniques and skills. The look of satisfaction flicker in his brown orbs as a faint smile form on his lip.

Erza sighs and swipes her sword down to get rid of the blood on the blade before sheathing it. She twists around and returns to the group. "Got it out of your system?" Jellal asks when the Scarlet is in hearing range "A bit… I shouldn't expect much from bandits" "Yes, you shouldn't" "Um, Erza" Bork speaks, making the woman turn to him "Yes?" "Did you have to kill all the bad guys?" he asks in a genuine tone that catches others by surprise.

Erza's eyes soften, remembering the Troll doesn't enjoy violence so seeing her massacring through the battalion of bandits would make him feel uncomfortable. "Bork," Erza starts, speaking in a soft tone and stop in front of him "Bandits like those are malicious, and the only thing they care for is money and tormenting innocents. They don't respond effectively with a gentle touch, and the only way to truly get rid of them is to make a statement" she states, glancing to the right and see the Mayor and his assistance returning to them. She reverts to look at the Troll "If I were to just to knocked them out then that gives them a chance to come back and Bork, we wouldn't be here to protect them the next time" she said then points at Mirstone "Do you want that? When we leave, and those bandits regain consciousness then starts attacking the town. Killing men, selling children, and raping women" she asserts in brutal honesty.

Bork's expression changes to solemn, listening to the Scarlet's words. The others stayed in silent because they agree with what Erza's saying and believe this will teach Bork a valuable lesson. "I've dealt with bandits ever since I can remember, Bork, so trust me when I say I know just what they are capable of and just how evil some of them are. None of them deserve your sympathy, trust me" "Bork… Bork understand," the Troll nod, a faint smile build on his lip "Some people are just so bad they can never be good" "Yes," Erza nod, earnestly "Some are just born to be pure evil, Bork, and those people need to be put down before they hurt the innocents." "Do you think the bad guys will come back and harm people in Mirstone?" Bork ask getting concern for the people "No, not after what I've done to them" Erza answers with confidence.

"Their leaders dead and they have lost too many men to remain as a group," Nawin inserts "They will never come back here and risk getting killed. What they'll do now is to find other groups and join them. The life of lowly bandits" "Bork understand," the Troll nod and returns to Erza, giving her a more beaming smile "Thanks for helping Bork understand, Erza" "Of course," she smiles and gives him a friendly tap on the arm "I'm sure this lesson will help you in the future…"

"Thank goodness!" Kald stop in front of the group, panting from exhaustion and the wild emotions that's washed over his body "I-I guess I got to thank you all again" he jests, looking up and grin "No need," Erza shakes her head "Just doing our last part before leaving," she replies and turns to the Makasha "Right?" "Yeah," Nawin nods, shifting to the Mayor and Jenna, giving them a smile "We have to depart now. I want to be back in Vesarima before sunset" "Understood," Kald nod.

The shorter man stops in front of the Makasha and offers a hand "Hope you come to visit us one day, Nawin" "You never know what the future holds," he replies and takes the hand, shaking. Issei and Jellal already took down the tents and teleported the equipment to the Fernandes's pocket dimension since it all belongs to him. Nawin retracts his arm and takes a few steps back "Goodbye, Mayor Kald and Jenna" he utters "Bye, Nawin!" the girl reply, smiling and waving "See you next time" Kald insert.

Nawin turns around and starts walking to the south where the ravine's entrance is. The rest bid their goodbyes to the two before following him. "Huh?" Issei stop for a second and glance back to see the whole Mirstone people are waving goodbye at them "Nawin," he calls out, making the Makasha stop and turns to see the fantastic view. A smile form on his face, seeing the children and adults beaming with smiles, energetically bidding them farewell. Nawin slowly brings his right arm in the air and waves back at the people, making them smile even wider. The others also join in, waving goodbye to everyone in Mirstone.

Time Skip: Clayborg

"Ahhhh! Bork, you damn clown! You're gonna crush me!" Gado shouts, being snatched up by the Troll and into a hug "But Bork miss, Gado!" Bork replies with a smile. From the sideline, Issei and Jellal laugh while Nawin and Erza chuckle, all grinning at the scene. "Hehehe," Bork snigger before gently placing his friend down "Aye," Goda dust himself and looks up, raising an eyebrow "Huh, something about you changed, Bork… You seem awfully happier" he points out "Hehe, Bork has made great friends along the fun journey! Bork very happy!" the Troll reply, slamming his chest with his right hand.

Gado blinks, not expecting such an answer from a treacherous journey that he thought the group would face. He shifts to Erza for more information "It's been a tough journey to get the gemstone," she starts "But, it's also an unforgettable one for Bork and us… It was pleasant" "Ah, that so," Gado smile and turn to his friend "Well, good to hear that. Also," he turns back to the group, a bigger smile form on his lip "Thanks for bringing Bork back alive… I was honestly worried a bit" he admits with slight embarrass.

"Hah!" Jellal points at the man "I knew you cared for Bork more than you let on, Gado! Even your tough and no care attitude can't hide that!" "Shut it, lad!" the older man retorts, glaring "It's none of my business for you to know how I feel!" "Hehehe, whatever you say, Gado" Jellal waves dismissively, smirking "You may be a grumpy son of a bitch, but you have your soft side" "Bah!" Gado scoff, making the others snigger while Bork laughs.

Gado shakes his head and chuckles to himself before turning to Nawin "So, lad, now that you got everything, what's next?" "Heading to Vesarima now since these two got some business there," Nawin points at Jellal and Erza "Then Issei and I will depart to the human world" "Ah, you two reside in the human world?" "Yeah, we are one of those devils that got reincarnated by evil pieces" Issei informs "I see."

"So," Bork turn to the group, a solemn grin form on his lip, "Bork say goodbye to friends?" "Yeah…" Issei reply, smiling sadly "Seems like it, Buddy" "We have to go our separate ways," Erza state, softly, also showing sign of sadness in her eyes. Bork stop in front of the group and kneel to give all a gentle hug. The four didn't hesitate to return it, hugging the gentle giant that has become their friend throughout the harsh journey.

Bork retract his arms and tries to put on a more positive smile even though his eyes still holds sadness "Bork will miss friends" he remarks "Don't worry, Buddy" Issei reply, trying to hold back the tears "We'll see each other in the future" "Yeah," Jellal nod "There's nothing stopping us from meeting again." Nawin walks forward and stops in front of the Troll "Friends never forget each other, Bork" he said, smiling warmly "You are our friend, and that will never change. I had a great time traveling with you" "Yesh," the Troll smile brightly "Bork will always remember the fun times with friends."

Nawin takes a shaky deep breath and exhales, he looks up and give the gentle Troll one more smile before turning around and walks away. "Take care of yourself, Bork" Erza assert "Bork will be fine! No worry," he replies, grinning "I know you will, but just want to make sure" she asserts, smiling. Nawin starts levitating up, and the rest follow suit by releasing their wings, taking off to the air.

Issei looks down and grins brightly, extending his right arm to wave "See you next time, Bork!" he exclaims "Catch you later!" Jellal adds "See you, friends! Be safe!" Bork shouts, waving back. Nawin and Erza look back, smiling at the Troll and wave farewell too. When descending high enough in the sky, the four looks towards one another and nod before bursting to the south, racing towards the Capital of the Underworld.

Time Skip: Vesarima

When arrived at the Capital, the group dropped in front of the north entrance gate, the same gate where they departed to begin their journey. The four walked in after being checked by the guards, making way to the center of the Capital. "Huh?" Issei spot a familiar tavern on the right when they stop "Very appropriate, Nawin" he comments, chuckling "Say our farewells at the place where this journey started… Very poetic" Jellal state, smirking.

Nawin turns around and smiles "Seems fitting," he inserts "Very," Erza nod in agreement, liking the scenario. The Makasha quickly checks his watch "It's currently dinner time in Kuoh and tomorrow we got school, so we should head back now" "Damn," Issei groan at hearing the mention of school "Just got back from a tough journey and we need to head to school tomorrow?! That's so unfair" "Come now," Erza smirk and smack the Hyoudou on the back, sending him stumbling forward "Not going to let something like a school get you down?" "Hell no!" he exclaims "But, it doesn't change the fact that I just want to sleep in all day tomorrow. As I said," he sighs in tiresome, exhaustion shows clear in his eyes and face "I'm still recovering from what happened in Grayford Mountain" "If you're still tired tomorrow then call in a sick day. Rias will understand your reasoning when you explain it to her" Nawin suggest "Yeah, guess you're right" Issei reply and stop beside the Makasha, ready to depart.

Nawin turns to Erza and Jellal "What's next for you two?" he asks, "Stock up in suppliers and head out," Erza answers, shrugging "Continue hunting down criminals" "That's what we do," Jellal state, chuckling "Well," Issei grins "Take care you two. It's been great catching up with both of you" "Same," Jellal reply "Been an unforgettable adventure" Erza state, smiling warmly to show how genuinely fun she had journeyed with the two boys in front of her.

The Scarlet turns to the Nawin "So, will I hear from you again?" she asks, tilting her head "Of course," he brings his arms up and gives the Scarlet-haired woman a hug which she returns without complaints. "There's no doubt in my mind we'll meet again in the future" he utters and retracts his arms, stepping back "Alright," Erza smile in happiness "I'll hold you to that."

Jellal and Issei exchange fist bumps, both grinning at each other "See you next time, Jellal!" "Yeah, it's been great getting to know you more, Issei" "Back at you!" Issei turns to Erza and hugs her too while Nawin moves to Jellal. "Thanks for everything," the Fernandes comments "It's no big deal," Nawin smile and brings his right arm up, the two exchange fist bumps "See you next time, Nawin" Jellal state, grinning "Stay safe, alright?" "Will do and I'll send that back to you as well. You will regularly be in more dangerous situations compare to me" "Ahaha, true."

Nawin takes a step back and watches Issei bidding goodbye to Erza before returning to his side. Nawin release some of his mana to start the teleportation process. "Bye, you guys!" Issei exclaims, waving as the Gremory's crest appear beneath "Take care, you two!" Erza shouts back "Will do," Nawin nods, smiling "Catch you next time, Erza, Jellal" he utters before disappearing into crimson sparkles with Issei.

Jellal watches the sparkles slowly fades from existence "... So," he starts, glancing at the Scarlet "What's really next for us?" "Continue what we do, Jellal" she replies and swiftly turns around, walking to the east "You still want to?" Jellal question, quickly following beside.

Erza smile in knowing "It will be for a while before we leave this life, so might as well do as much as possible" she states, "I see," Jellal nod, smirking "Then let's go stock up our suppliers and head out" "Sounds like a plan."
