From the moment her dad had sent her to see her aunt Suki, she was having a bad feeling about this. Whatever the feeling was, she could never have suspected that her dad would lie to her only because he wanted to talk to Ranma privately. All her fearful suspicions got correct when she saw the devastated look on Ranma's face and the overly enthusiastic look on her father's face.
She knows these two people way too well! She knows that, if she asks them directly about what had happened, neither of them would correctly answer her.. But she had to know the truth, because she had never seen Ranma this shattered before! And she has to find out what her father had suddenly said to him which led him to feel this heartbroken!
In her every time of need, Ranma was the one who always came to support her and gave her all the comfort that he could give her. This stupidity of others butting into their relationship is pushing all its limits now! She has to stop all this interference once and for all and that's the only reason why she has to bury all her anger for the time being and act as calmly as possible..
She silently kept following her father and thankfully, she didn't have to wait for too long as she saw her father taking her to the person who was the least person she wanted to meet that day. Taichi… Her skin crawled in disgust as she saw him looking at her with longing on his eyes. She averted her eyes from him and turned her gaze towards the old lady, who was standing beside him. Her father suddenly clears his voice and said in a nervous tone,
"Akane… Dear, I would like to introduce you to.."
Akane intervenes in a low hard tone, "I already know who they are, father! You came here late, that's why maybe you didn't know about that.."
"Oh! Yes.. haha.. I am sure you know them well.."
"But young lady, I am sure I was not introduced to you properly before.." Ema
said in a warm tone.
Akane smiled at her and said politely, "You are Grandmother of Taichi Mrs Ema and I know you very well." Akane bowed her head to show respect to the elder as she said in a gentle tone, "My name is Akane Tendo; I am the youngest daughter of my family .Nice to meet you, mam!"
"Oh how adorable little darling you are! I wish Suki had introduced you to me earlier!"
"We may haven't been introduced properly mam, but my aunt Suki had said everything to me about you.."
"You mean to say.. every single thing, Akane?" Ema sends her a meaningful stare.
Akane smiles at her and slowly nodded her head,
"All that I should be concern about.."
" Hmm.. You remind me about my young Suki! She was as fierce as you are! You Tendo girls are so tempting, must say..! But you my dear, are the most valuable amongst all! No wonder why my Taichi has.."
Akane didn't let her finish as she already knew what she might say next, "I am sorry, Mrs Ema, I couldn't meet you that night.. I was actually out with my fiance.."
Taichi flinched as he growled angrily.. Ema noticed his reaction as she said in a surprised tone,
"Fiance?! But I thought your engagement was already broken.."
"Oh my! And why would that even happen?!"
Suddenly Kasumi appeared with Tofu following her every step. They walked towards Soun and stands beside him as Kasumi said in an amused tone,
"My sister and my Ranma have been engaged for the last four years! Why would their engagement get canceled now!"
Ema laughed slightly and said in a gentle tone,
"Well dear, your father told me that!"
"Father?!" Kasumi looked at her father with disappointment as she sighs angrily and said with a controlled angry tone,
"I am sorry Mrs. Ema, but my father's words won't count here. This engagement could only get nullified if my imouto and my future brother-in-law wants it to.. Otherwise, no!"
Soun clears his voice as he tried to convince her,
"Kasumi dear, please, I will explain everything to you later.."
"NO!" Kasumi sends an angry look at her father as she whispered to him bitterly, "You won't say a word anymore, father.."
"Young child; I don't understand why you are opposing this, but I am sure if you let your father explain to you the reason, you would be happy to accept this new opportunity in hand, my dear.."
Tofu protectively circled his arm around his new wife as he said, "Marrying someone shouldn't be like an opportunity, Mrs Ema! This should come from heart to heart; not otherwise…"
Ema's happy face suddenly turned into an irate one as she looked at the newlywed couple and said,..
"This is a very critical decision to make; why don't we let the girl's father decide what is good for his child.. You are nothing but her sister anyways, you won't consider this opportunity as deeply as a father does! A father's love is selfless, he knows what is better for her daughter.. Mr Tendo had told me that there is no engagement anymore, so I will believe his words only, not anyone else! And he also promised me to give Akane's hand for my Taichi! So we should be celebrating this news, not debating like some naive kids!"
Kasumi was fuming with burning anger as she kept hearing her ; her eyes unmoving as she kept looking at the old woman with hatred.. She knows one thing, she will no longer let anyone play with her sister's emotions and she will make sure to make these two old people get what she is about to say to them.. She took a deep breath and began saying in a tightly controlled tone,
"Look, Mrs Ema.. Listen to me carefully.. This is.."
"Taichi.."
Suddenly all heads turned towards Akane as she called Taichi's name with a pleasant smile on her face. Taichi brightly smiled back at her and said,
"Yes, Akane.."
"If you don't mind, Will you dance with me? This is actually my favorite song .."
Taichi sighs happily and instantly goes to her side. He took her hand on his and said in a pleasant tone,
"Anything for you, my love! "
Akane smiled at him and nodded her head. Kasumi and Tofu couldn't believe what they were seeing at that moment. And when they saw the pleasant way Soun and Ema were smiling at the scene, it made them even more furious.. Kasumi growled in a low voice and was about to call out to Akane, when suddenly they saw her turning towards them and winking slyly at them.. Kasumi couldn't utter any word as she kept looking at them with her surprised eyes. Her dumbfounded strance
broke when she heard her husband clearing his voice,
"I am sorry, but excuse us! I hope guys will enjoy this evening.."
Ema smiled at the newlywed as she said,
"We certainly would, dear.. Thank you.."
Tofu nodded his head and took his agitated wife along with him. After some moment, Kasumi asked Tofu in a panicked tone,
"Oh Tofu dear, what is happening!? I don't understand why Akane would.."
Tofu silenced her with a soft kiss over her lips as he whispers to her,
"As far as I know my little Akane, she is way more smarter than they thought she is.."
"But.."
"Just trust her, dear.. You saw her winking at us , right? I am sure she has a plan in hand.."
Kasumi sighs as she nodded her head saying..
"I hope so, honey.. I really hope so.."...
Akane could feel the way Ranma was looking at her. She wanted to look back at him to assure him about this uncomfortable situation.. But it seems like, she has lost her guts to look at him in the eyes.. As much as she wanted to look at him, she knows that if she again saw the devastating look on his face, she would run towards him and the work she is planning to do will remain undone.. So taking a long painful breath , she walked with Taichi to the dance floor and started dancing with him in a slow motion song.
"Oh Akane! You made me so happy today!" Taichi whispers as he lays his hand over her waist.
Akane's instant reaction was to slap him hard over his face for daring to touch her like that. She bits her tongue hard and keeps her anger in check, because now she wants to know what's going on in his mind. Greeting her teeth, she asked him in a tightly controlled tone,
"I made you happy?! And how so?"
Taichi laughed softly and said in a warm tone,
"The way your sister was defending our new relationship, I thought that you would also follow suit and reject my proposal.. But the way you asked me to dance with you, it means that you also want me as much as I want you! Akane, I can't explain to you how you make me feel! For a moment I thought, my grandmother won't be able to give me what I want this time! But thankfully, she has managed to convince your father.."
"What did grandmother say to my father, Taichi? I am asking because my father is very hard headed , it's really hard to convince him.."
Taichi smirks as he said proudly,
"Grandmother just showed him the comparison between me and that Ranma..! I mean, it's hilarious that she had to do that in the first place! I mean there is no competition between me and him! Your father understood the difference and showed Ranma the mirror which he so selfishly ignored! I mean, what's the comparison between me and him! I am a multimillionaire guy! I have all the happiness a girl could ever ask for! Marrying me means marrying a tremendous fortune and Ranma!" He smirks and continues saying, "What he has ? Nothing! Zero! He is a complete nothingness and only could give you misery in return! It's good that Mr Soun came just in time!.."
Her whole body was shaking with the rage she was feeling at that moment. The more she was hearing him , the more she was getting surprised at the nerve of this annoying guy.. But she had heard enough..! Now.. It's her time to talk.. Akane smiled at him bitterly and slowly circled her arms around his neck, then she whispers in a low tone,
"You are absolutely right, Taichi! There is no comparison between you and my Ranma..Because my Ranma is a man amongst men and you are nothing but an annoying whiny little brat to me..!"
Taichi's body got rigid and he hastily tried to break the hug, but her force over his shoulder was so heavy that he couldn't move his muscle,
"Ummhmm.. Don't move too much, idiot! You will get even more hurt, honey! I am not finished yet!" She felt him calming down a bit, but she could still feel the stiffness of his body.. She smiled at that and continued saying,
"Good boy! Now listen to me carefully; I won't repeat myself for you again.. You disgust me, Taichi.. You are the sickest person I have ever met in my life! Gosh; how horrendous your mind works! I kept telling you again and again that I came from a two days day and night training trip with my fiance, still knowing all this, you still have the guts to ask for my hand from my father! You filthy rich brat, my body still smells like Ranma and you dare to ask me to call off my engagement with him!" She again feels him trying to move away, she pinched her all fingers over his shoulder as she hissed in a dangerous tone,
""What do you think of me, Taichi? A sweet charming princess made with wax maybe?" She smirks and says, "You know what my Ranma calls me all the time, a violent crazy tomboy who has strength like a gorilla ! Yes, that's what I am, Taichi! I have the ability to strangle a huge number of hantai hord single-handedly, you are nothing compared to them.. And you know why I can't compare you with my Ranma? Because you are nothing but a spoiled rich kid to me, who still cries for the things that he wants ! As for Ranma, he earned me! You heard me right, Taichi! I am not a regular girl who would jump at any opportunity to be rich and happy! I have zero trust in guys! However, Ranma had somehow managed to break that barrier and he made my heart his. You know why, because he is the most extraordinary gentleman any girl could ever dream of. And I am lucky enough to meet a guy like him; whilst marrying him will be a dream come true for me!"
He tried to move away from her again but he couldn't move his body out of Akane's deadly grip.. She laughed slyly and said in a silly tone,
"Oh poor Taichi, just look at you; you are having difficulty moving out of my grip and here I am just wondering how you would handle Ranma when he would show you his true ability! What do you think of him, huh? A weak guy, who doesn't have any abilities at all! The truth is, Ranma is way too sincere about the rules of the Martial Arts to not to hurt any weaklings like you, that's why he is going easy on you. But, I bet you, if he fully loses it and just lashes out just his ten per cent of mastery on you, you would run back to your grandmother crying for safety! Trust me Taichi, if it's not my sister's wedding, I would have gladly hit you multiple times already! You have crossed all the limits you could! Now ENOUGH IS ENOUGH..! I didn't want to make any scene at my sister's wedding, that's the only reason why I called you here so that I can peacefully make you understand the situation on-hand. And if you still insist on acting like an annoyed child, trust me, my hand won't stop beating you until the press comes here and highlights the news of a well known multimillionaire's grandson was beaten by a simple girl , because he was forcing her to marry him.. You guys have helped my aunt Suki in her time of need , that's why I kept quiet for so long! But not anymore.."
She squished his shoulder painfully for the last time and not so gently pushed him away. Then she looked at him with a disgusted face and pointed her finger at him as she hissed in a heated tone,
"Not anymore, Taichi! Enough!!"
Saying that, she ran away from him. Taichi kept standing there with a horrific expression on his face as his mind kept processing the words that Akane had said to him……
Akane couldn't find Ranma anywhere! Last time she saw a glimpse of him when he was talking with Akio. She ran towards Akio and saw that he was completely drunk and talking to himself.
"Akio!! Where is Ranma? Where did he go?"
Akio turned to look at Akane with a stunned expression as he said while stammering,
"He.. he.. he was here! You know, you look so stunning today, honeyy.. hik!"
Akane sighs as she asked him in a desperate tone,
"Please Akio, please tell me where he went to.. I need to know.. please.."
Akio blinked his eyes in a serious manner and said in a weavery tone ,
"He was upset at you! So I gave him this… he drank it and instead of going to grab you out from that evil guy's hand, he ran off! That cowerd !"
"What!" Akane whispers in complete disbelief, "You give him to drink alcohol!" She saw him nodding in a serious manner. She got more agitated after that as she said in a panicky tone,
"Why would you do that, Akio! He is not used to having these things! Oh Kami! Where he might have gone to! Oh no..!"
Akane didn't waste anymore time standing there as she quickly scanned the hall area and when she didn't get any glimpse of him, she decided to leave the hall from the nearest door available. And from there her search for Ranma started .. She was looking for him like crazy, her heart was beating hard for the possibility of him leaving her again. She started crying as she couldn't find him anywhere.
"Ranma! Ranma, where are you! Please answer me.. Ranma!"
She was sobbing constantly, too scared to even think of the possibility anymore. Then suddenly, she stepped over something. She looked down horrifyingly as she recognised the suit which Ranma was wearing the whole day.With a shaky hand she took the suit in her hand and with new found determination, she began her searching again. Akane didn't have to look for long after that, as she soon found her fiance, who was swinging on his tracks as he was walking away from the hotel and to the beach.
A thunder cracked loudly as the wind began to blow again. The sound of the wild sea waves mixed with the wild crackling of the thunder was making the atmosphere too dangerous to be outside anymore. Akane forgot to be scared about this petticoat weather as she ran towards Ranma as quickly as she could. She could see that Ranma was yelling mercilessly, like he was arguing with someone. She couldn't hear a thing, but the more she was nearing him , the more she could hear what Ranma was saying.. She stopped in a safe distance as she tried to catch her breath . She was surprised to find that Ranma was yelling at the waves and the thunder and calling out to them to make more bigger sound.
"WHAT!! IS THIS WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF DOING!!" Thunder strikes again loudly, "NO! NO! NO!! MORE LOUDLY!! YOU ARE NOT LOUD ENOUGH, YOU DAMN GOOD FOR NOTHIN THUNDERS!"
"RANMA!!" Akane called out to him and he immediately stopped yelling. He still didn't turn to look at her, still swinging as he stood by the shore of the sea..
"Ranma.."
"Why.. Why are ya here?"
"Ranma.."
"Go away..!!"
"Ranma please .. please listen to me.."
"NO!!" He turned to face her with rage in his face.
Akane took a sharp breath looking at his state. His eyes were swollen, red, his face wet and messy! He was hurt, she could easily tell that he was fully heart broken. She lost her wording as her whole body trembled with fear.. He pointed his finger at her as he said in a harsh tone,
"You… you chose him!!! YOU CHOSE HIM INSTEAD OF ME! YOU BETRAYED ME!"
Akane came back to her senses after hearing that as she said in a shaky tone,
"No! No,Ranma! It's a misunderstanding! Please listen to me..,"
"NO! I won't listen to you! You .. You are a liar!!" Ranma yelled loudly, but his eyes were pouring tears of misery. "I gave ya everything I have, but still, you chose him, not me!"
Akane started crying too as she tried to go near him, "Please Ranma! Let me explain.."
He moved away from her touch and said loudly, "NO!! No!! Ya don't need ta explain anything ta me.. Go to that rich guy!! Go to him! He will give ya everything that ya need! I have nothing, nothing.. go away.. ya don't need me ! I have nothing.. He will make you happy, I don't have anything! I can't make ya happy!! Don't come near me! Go to that guy, GO!!"
"Ranma please.." Akane ran towards him and forcefully hugged him and buried her face on his chest. Ranma was struggling to break free , but she was not letting him go as she said in between her tears,
"Please.. don't do this to me!! Listen to me, Ranma! Please calm down!"
"Why are you making me suffer like this , Kane! Go to that guy! I won't stop you.. Please don't hurt me like this.. Go to him.. Go!!"
"Please Ranma.. stop saying that.. please.." Akane bit her lips as she hugged him more tightly. When she felt the wind blowing strongly again, she slowly composed herself a bit and heatedly looked up at him in the eyes as she said in a furious whisper tone, "You dare to get drunk like this , Ranma! I warned you about leaving me but you still left me! You don't have any idea how angry you have made me now! And if you don't stop your damn babbling, I swear .. I swear that.."
Ranma didn't let her finish as he hastily captured her lips in a desperate kiss. Akane wanted to return his kiss but she could hear some footsteps nearing the place. The last thing she wants is for her aunt to find out that Ranma is drunk and acting crazy. As much as she wanted to kiss him back, she held herself in check and pushed him hard to break the kiss.
Ranma became angry when he felt her pushing him away like that! He growled like a wild animal and forcefully tried to kiss her again. Akane was having difficulty stopping him, she somehow got a hold of his cheeks and made him look at her in the eyes as she said in a breathless tone,
"I don't want anyone to see you like this , Ranma! Please let me take you to your room.."
Ranma was wild and his mind went blank as he growled while saying,
"I DON'T CARE!!"
"BUT I DO CARE, RANMA..!!" Ranma looked at her hard when she yelled at him like that. She calmed down as her lower lip started to tremble, then she pleaded to him in a low trembling tone, "I don't want anyone to see you like this, Ranma.. Please let me take you to your room, please…"
Her voice was weak, her eyes were blazing with unshed tears as she helplessly begged him to listen to her.
His mind was completely blank at that time. His sanity stopped working as for some reason his all senses were only yearning for Akane. But however his mind may feel at that moment, Akane's devastating state was the last thing he wanted to see. He stood there in an imbalanced way, he was still feeling irate because of her rejection to kiss him back. He angrily growled at her direction and without saying anything else to her, he started walking away from her to go back to his room.
Akane sighs in relief as she quickly begins to follow Ranma. Ranma stumbled on his tracks and almost tripped on the ground, but Akane swiftly grabbed his arm and prevented the fall from happening . After composing himself, Ranma tried to snatch his arm out from her hold, but she kept holding him tightly as she carefully took him back to the hotel.
Getting him back to his room became a challenging task for her. He was constantly pushing her away and he kept saying harsh words to her so that she would leave him alone. But Akane was also stubborn! She calmly handles him and soon after lots of difficulties, she finally manages to take him back to his room.
From the pocket of Ranma's discarded coat, Akane found the key to his room. She quickly opened the room and forcefully pulled Ranma inside his room. She not so gently pushed him towards his bed as he slumped over the bed with a big thumping sound. Ranma growled loudly as he cursed under his breath, he tried to sit up over the bed with the support of his arm as he said in a hissing whisper tone,
"Why, you!! Damn it, woman! Why'd ya push me this hard for!!!"
Akane didn't reply to him straight way, she just kept glaring at him with her angry, painful eyes.
"Why are ya silent, huh? You two-timers! You..you.. you pervert!! Cass.. Cassanova woman! Go to that rich guy ; what are yea doing here!! LEAVE!!!"
For some moments, She silently kept listening to him, and after some time has passed, she slowly went towards him and began to open his shoes for him. He became more furious seeing her careless behaviour. He tried to stop her from removing his shoes as he kept mumbling harsh words to her..
"I DON'T need yar damn HELP!! Go help that Taichi of yours!! Don't touch my.."

Ranma got completely surprised when he felt the slap on his face. He laid his trembling hand over his burning face as he slowly looked up at her.
Akane's whole body was shaking, her eyes pouring tears, her lower lips trembling as she tried to sound strong in front of him,
"Keep Your mouth shut, Ranma! You have said enough already!" Then she clutched the collar of his shirt tightly and shook him violently as she hissed bitterly, "Listen carefully, Saotome! I HATE that Taichi guy. But I had to drag him to the dance floor because I had to make things clear to him privately that whatever he was thinking is not possible. I can NEVER be his!" Ranma growled angrily but Akane put more pressure into holding him to place as she continued saying, "I didn't want to ruin my sister's wedding, Ranma, and that's the only reason why I did it privately! But look at you, you didn't even give me time to explain this to you.! I know that you are drunk, but that doesn't mean that I will allow you to behave with me like this..! You are behaving like an animal towards me, Ranma and that's why I am leaving you right now! And I will see you tomorrow when you come out of this drunk state. Now, please try to get some sleep, Ranma..."
She gradually released his shirt and laid her warm hand over his cheeks. She sighed sadly as she tenderly creased the red mark on his face. She gently gave a soft lingering kiss over the spot and after that , she slowly stood straight to leave.
She could only take a step back when suddenly, Ranma quickly grabbed her hand and without any warning pulled her towards him. Akane yelled out in complete surprise as he laid her over the bed in a blur motion. She began to pant hard as she saw him slowly looming over her shivering body. Her breath hitched with fear when she noticed his eyes. His usually calm ocean-blue eyes have suddenly become tumultuous and heavy with suppressed desire. She got even more rigid when she felt him pulling her both arms up over her head and locking it tightly with his one hand. She gulped while looking at him as she said in a shivering tone,
"Ranma… Ranma what are you…"
"Shhhh.." Ranma used his other hand and laid his one finger over her lips. His intoxicated eyes drowned on her trembling soft lips as he whispers in a husky tone, "Ya can't leave me.. You hear me? Ya are mine… Only mine…. Mine….mine…."
He slowly trailed his finger over her lips, his eyes fully focused on her delicate lips.
"Ranma please.."
Ranma groaned hearing her voice and without any further ado he captured her soft lips in a desperate kiss.
His lips were hot against her as he kept kissing her passionately. Akane tried to move away and stop him from kissing her, but his longing for her has reached a certain point which made him completely blind and deaf to the ear.
His every touch was working like fire over her cold body. She eventually melted on his seductive touches as she arched her body to get more closer to him.
It was like this was the only sign he was suppressing his desire for. He growls like a hungry beast as he begins to devour her without any resistance.
Akane moaned as she tightly closed her eyes .. She tried to untangle her hands from his grip, but he was not letting her move one inch. She was gasping hard, her mind swerling with passion and her body hot against his every trace.
Ranma lost it completely. Only one thing was roaming on his sense was Akane and making her his own at any cost. His touch became aggressive as he started to explore her body with his other hand. He became even more courageous as he sensed her positive reaction to his every touch and her every moan was the prove that she wants this to happen as well . Things got out of hand as they both got triggered by the passion they were feeling at that moment.
Ranma slowly released her arms which gave Akane the chance to circle her arms around his neck. She pulled him tightly against her as Ranma fully spread his body over her.
"You are mine, Akane.. Only mine.. No one can take ya away from me.. I will make ya mine now.." He said seductively as he bites her earlobes and slowly began to pull her dress up.
And that's the exact moment when Akane came back to her senses. Her eyes went wide with realization of what they were about to do. Ranma was busy undressing her and touching her. Her face flushed red with embarrassment as she tried to whisper to him in an urgent tone,
"Ranma.. Ranma don't.. don't please.. stop it.. "
Ranma only roared in his reply and hastily began to undress her.
Akane got scared by his sudden harshness as she tried to stop him from going far with her.
"Ranma no! I am not ready! Please stop it.."
But he was not listening to her anymore, too determined to make her his own. It didn't take her long to understand that Ranma is unstoppable right now and he is not thinking straight. She balled her fists tightly and with all the strength she had at that moment, she pushed him hard and made him fall by her side of the bed. She hastily got up from the bed and ran to a safe distance from him. She rested her back over a wall, she was panting hard, her heart beating painfully hard as she kept looking at him with longing in her eyes.
Ranma slowly laid his arm over his closed eyes as he desperately tried to regain his breathing. After some moment of silence, he gradually composed his raging hormones. He slowly sits up over the bed, his face downwards as he grips the bed from both sides.
Akane was blushing furiously, she gulped in trepidation as she tried to approach him in a shaky tone,
"Ranma.. Please try to understand.. You are drunk right now.. You are not thinking straight! And this is... This is all so suddenc.."
Ranma humorlessly smirked hearing her which made her stop talking.
"Ranma?!"
"You have an explanation for every single thing, ain't ya?"
"Ranma please.."
"NO! Please no more, Akane! I .. I understand why ya stopped me! Please don't try to turn the table on me because you think I am not thinking straight!"
"But you are drunk, Ranma.." Akane said in a low broken tone as she bit her lower lip hard.
Ranma sighs defeatedly as he said in a broken tone,
"Go Akane.. Please leave me alone.. You are right! I am not thinking straight right now. I am absolutely drunk at this moment. Look, I. .. I am really very sorry for what just happened! I can't even think properly right now! I can't seem to control myself anymore because I am really feeling anxious about what is happening around with me. I am… I'm tired, Kane.. Tired of the fear of losing ya and living my life without you. I am tired of giving explanations to every new individual that I will do anything for you and that I can also make you happy. I am tired of those people who show me the reason why I don't deserve a girl like you. And as much as I want to argue with them about this matter, these days my reasons have been defeated by the reality they are showing me.. Ranma griped the bed more tightly as he said in a painful tone,
"And I am sure.. I am sure that you might have figured out the compression between us as well and that's the only reason why you always push me away..! If ya really have no issue with our relationship then you wouldn't have stopped me from making love with ya!"
Akane gulped in nervousness as she tightly hugged her shivering body with her cold hands. Then she said in an uncertain whisper tone, "Ranma! How could you even think that! This is not true at all! Please try to understand ,you are completely drunk now and that's the only reason why I…otherwise maybe I wouldn't have.."
"I know and I clearly understand, Akane. Ya don't have ta explain anything to me! I know that you only look at our relationship with sympathy, nothing else then that . We have been engaged for so long anyway and that's the only reason why you are bound up with me and can't say the truth in front of my face.."
"Truth?! What are you trying to say Ranma?" Akane whispers in an unbelievable tone as she looks at him with painful eyes.
Ranma then looked up at her and smirked humorlessly, but his eyes were blazing with unshed tears as he whispered to her in a broken tone,
"I can't prove myself to anyone anymore, Akane! Today I realized how wrong I was! I am nothing, Kane! Nothing at all!!!. You don't need to be with me anymore.. And if Ya want you can call off.. call off our forced engagement as well, I.. I won't stop ya.. I … Now I clearly understand Akane, I am nothing but a burden on your back and if I stay with you, I will make your life even more tough for you! Your father is right, you are better off without me… You don't deserve a guy like me.. Go Akane, please leave.. I.. I promise ya I won't get involved in your life anymore.. Now please leave me alone.. Go Kane, please leave.."
Akane was silently weeping as she kept looking at his devastating state. He was right though! Their relationship is nothing but a challenge, where they both had to prove to every single individual why they want each other and why they need each other. However now it seems like, the more they try to prove to others, the more big challenges are popping out the next second! This has been going on for a long time now, but not anymore! Because like Ranma, she has become exhausted and her heart has become emotionally drained as well! Suddenly, the memory of what Kasumi has told her flashed through her mind,
Always remember, you don't have to prove yourself to any people, never do that again. But, if on certain days, you have to prove something to your loved one's, then don't hesitate to do so.. But only do this for those who deserve it, not for those who demand it.."*l
Akane released a big sigh. She couldn't take her eyes off from Ranma, who was looking completely shattered at that moment. He looked down at his balled fists, his shoulder slumped and his face had a dark shadow over it.
Akane slowly wipes her tears clean ; a determined expression on her face. She started to walk away in slow motion, she could feel that Ranma was looking at her retreating form. But still she didn't turn to look at him as she kept walking towards the door. When she reached the door she paused for some moment. Then without saying any word, she swiftly closed the door and locked it.. Her heart began to beat hard as she laid her head over the closed door. Her head started to swing from the nervousness she was feeling at that moment. Her feet started to feel like jelly as she slowly turned to look at Ranma.
Ranma was looking at her with complete disbelief in his stunned eyes. It was like he stopped breathing for some moments as he kept staring at her.. Then suddenly, he saw her smiling at him. Her body was visibly trembling, but she still opened her arms for him and nodded her head with a warm smile over her face. He released the breath that he was holding for so long as he desperately rushed towards her in a frantic manner and wrapped her in a bone-crushing hug..
A/N: Ahm ahm !! I don't know what to say!! This chapter was so hard to write, I am so nervous to present this to you that, it took me two days to write the last two sentence !! I have never been this nervous before! That's why I am being honest with you all, this time I will wait for certain amount of reviews!
