Ash, who aims to defeat the World Monarch, Leon, and Goh, who dreams of catching every Pokemon to work his way up to Mew, this is the story of their lovelife and adventures.
Goh's POV:
"My first trial mission from Project Mew is here!" Goh said, when he saw the e-mail on his Rotom Phone, sent from Project Mew. "So? What's it say?" Ash asked. "Umm... 'Reach the goal by making full use of a variety of Pokemon'" Goh said. "Huh? There's three of them! It says I can choose whichever one I like... Okay. I pick this one! 'Gather Volcarona's golden scales!'" Goh said. "But what's it mean by 'golden scales'...?" Ash asked. "The place with the most info about Volcarona... it's the Resort Area in Unova!" Goh said. "Isn't that where-" Ash said before getting interrupted. "Yeah! Where I caught Golurk at the Ruins of the Titan! And there was a golden room there! So there could be a Volcarona with golden scales, too!" Goh said. "That's great! Then let's head straight to Unova!" Ash said, and the boys then made their way to the Resort Area's Ruins. When there, they encountered the Chief from last time, who told them that Volcarona must be hiding within a volcanic area. The boys then went to a volcano in Unova, where they found and abandoned tunnel. "Is this a tunnel they used to mine gold?" Goh asked. "Let's move, Goh!" Ash said. "Naturally!" Goh said, as they both took a step forward, before a few Woobat's leapt out at them. In fear, Goh grabbed Ash's shoulders, to feel comfortable, but then the Woobat's simply flew past them, and thankfully there wasn't any danger they were in at all. Except for Ash awkwardly staring at Goh, which made Goh embarrassed. "A-Anyway, I thought this might happen! So I came prepared, yeah?" Goh said, and pulled a lantern from his bag, which the boys then used a source of light inside of the tunnel. "Is something there?" Goh said, when he saw something he couldn't make out. It turned out to be a Roggenrola, so Goh battled it with Inteleon, and then caught it in a Pokeball. Immediately however, they saw a horde of Roggenrola coming towards them. "It's a horde of Roggenrola!" Goh said. Immediately, all the Roggenrola attacked them, as the boys ran as fast as they could to save themselves. They found a cart, and jumped on it to escape. After a long ride, they found themselves in front of an elevator that didn't work. "Maybe if it still had electricity..." Goh said. "In that case, Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Ash said, and Pikachu charged up the elevator, allowing them to go deeper into the volcano, where they heard a man shout, as he was being chased by a Ferothorn. Goh sent out his Cinderace to battle it, and then caught it with a Pokeball. "That's your second catch today!" Ash cheered. Goh was happy to impress Ash, as he did want to gain his affection, after all. "Oh, thanks for the help. I'm studying the wild Pokemon living in this area" the man said. "We're research fellows at the Cerise Laboratory. I'm Ash!" Ash said. "And I'm Goh!" Goh said. "So you're here to investigate too?" The man asked. "Yes. We're looking for Volcarona" Goh responded. "Oh... Actually, I'm looking for Volcarona too. What do you say? Why not come with me?" The man said, in a tone that made Goh suspicious of him. "Sure! That's okay, right, Goh?" Ash said, turning to face Goh. "S-Sure..." Goh reluctantly agreed, not trusting the man. "Okay, it's a deal" the man said, and the three of them then wandered around the volcano. "Where are we?" Ash asked. "It looks like a train station..." Goh said. "It's a mining railway station. Back during the gold rush, these tunnels led to the next mine over" the man said. "You know a lot" Goh said to the man. "Wha--? Oh, not at all!" The man said, which only made Goh more suspicious of him. "What are these?" Ash said, as he found some Pokemon Eggs. "Lemme have a look. These are probably Larvesta Eggs. Larvesta will hatch from them and evolve into Volcarona" the man said, as he picked up an egg. "Are the eggs gonna be okay just let here on their own, though?" Ash asked. "Oh! Then Volcarona might be here! So it can protect the eggs!" Goh said. "Of course!" Ash said. "Yeah. So before it comes back... I better get outta here with these eggs!" The man said as he picked up an egg, and then sent out a Galvantula. "Sticky Web!" The man said, and the Galvantula then attacked the boys with Sticky Web, causing them to stick to the wall. "What're you doing?!" Ash yelled, as the boys struggled to try and free themselves. "While I was catching all the Pokemon 'round here, Volcarona managed to get away. But if I sell all these eggs, I'll make plenty of money!" The man said. "You're a Pokemon Hunter?!" Goh said. "You just sit tight there, till I've taken all of these eggs!" The man said. "We'll never let you!" Goh said. "Shut it. You just wait patiently there till I'm finished. There could be more eggs down there..." the man said, as he walked towards a bunch of Larvesta. "Two of them! They'll fetch a good price... Galvanta! Sticky Web!" The man said, as his Galvantula then tried to attack the Larvesta, but was overpowered by their fire attacks. As they started attacking him with fire attacks, he ran away with the eggs, leaving the boys behind, as they were trapped in a burning room, tied to the wall. "The eggs are gonna end up burning!" Ash said. "The Larvesta are going crazy with rage!" Goh said. "We're in danger, too!" Ash said, looking at the fire. "No, this could be good!" Goh said, and waited for the fire to start burning the web. "I get it!" Ash said, and they waited until the web burned and they were freed. "Ash, get the eggs, I'll stop the Larvesta!" Goh said. "Okay!" Ash said and chased after the man. Ash managed to retrieve the eggs, but the man got away. "Look! They're right here! Your eggs are safe!" Goh told the Larvesta. Thankfully, they understood, and stopped attacking. Ash and Goh gave back the eggs, only to remember that... they were still in a burning room. "You're up!" Goh said, sending out his Inteleon and Krabby. They tried to get rid of the fire with water, but it wasn't working for whatever reason. Thankfully, another Larvesta came to help them. A golden Larvesta. Not only that, it immediately evolved into a Golden Volcarona, and helped put out the fire for good. Afterwards, Goh received one of its golden scales, and successfully completed his first Trial Mission for Project Mew. Afterwards, Ash and Goh went back to the Cerise Lab in Kanto, where Goh celebrated clearing his first Trial Mission... by messing with Ash. When Ash wasn't looking, Goh sent out his Ferothorn, as he pulled out his Rotom Phone to record. Ferothorn immediately wrapped Ash with its vines, and stripped the boy down to his underwear, as usual. "Aaaagh! Goh!" Ash said, surprised. "Come on Ash, it's my time to celebrate!" Goh teased. "Do you have to celebrate like this?" Ash tried to argue. "Of course I do!" Goh teased, making sure that Ash knew he was not escaping. "Ash, have you heard of an ability called Iron Barbs?" Goh asked. "Um... I think?" Ash said. "It's an ability were any contact with the Pokemon who has it, gives the other a tremendous amount of pain!" Goh teased. "Wait, you don't mean..." Ash said, then one look at Goh's face reaffirmed his fears. Ash started panicking, and tried to flail his body to escape, but Ferothorn pulled him closer towards itself, until he finally made contact, and Ferothorn started rubbing him all over itself. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Ash repeated over and over again, as Goh and Pikachu laughed at his dismay. "Ow! Pika-Ow-Chu! Don't just -Ow- stand there and -Ow- laugh at -Ow- me! Ow!" Ash said, which only made Goh and Pikachu laugh harder at Ash's dismay. Eventually, after a few great hours of enjoying messing with Ash, the poor boy passed out from the pain, and Ferothorn let go of him, as his limp body fell to the floor. Goh then carried him to his bed, and went to sleep, happy with being one step closer to Mew.
