"Hmm," Sayomi eyes closely at Marius "... He has gotten stronger and in such a short period of time." Vampires already possess keen senses, but Sayomi's goes further than even that. In a certain range with a target, she can sense their full power with ease, even if they tried to hide it. Sayomi's eyes narrow "How is that possible? Did the Grail have something to do with it or did Marius trick me back then?"
Sayomi's eyes shifts to Nawin. "Seems like you'll have a tough battle ahead, my dear." A smile slowly graces the beautiful Pureblood's face "Let's see how far Marius will push you. For his sake... He better not push too hard."
South: Battlefield
Nawin openly glares at the smirking Vampire. The black aura around him starts shifting more violently. The earth begins cracking and shattering. "Ahhhh!" Nawin blasts forward and swings forward a right hand. Marius brings both arms up to block the attack and goes sliding back by the momentum but keeps the arms up.
Nawin shoots his head forward to give a surprise headbutt that knocks Marius back, stumbling on his feet. "Guh!" the Tepes growls and catch the incoming left hook, then retaliates with a sidekick that connects at the Makasha's waist. Marius grips tightly on the hand and throws Nawin over the shoulder, slamming him hard on the ground.
"Hah!" Marius shouts, slamming his right feet down for a stomp on the Makasha's head, who quickly escape by rolling to the side. Nawin gets up on all fours, but before he can return to his feet. Marius comes dashing forward and gives a stiff kick to the Makasha's face, sending him barreling back.
Nawin cuss and quickly jumps onto his feet. He grips his nose, feeling blood dripping down and entering his mouth. "I got experience in close-combat too, Nawin" Marius claim, smirking arrogantly.
Didn't bother to give a response, Nawin straightens his posture and points his right index finger forward. Marius raises an eyebrow at this motion. "... Push," Nawin utters, and Marius is sent blasting away by an invisible force that completely took him off-guard.
Nawin summons the Gunblade and disappears in a Black Flash. He appears above and launches the sharp blade down through the Vampire's throat. "Kuuuah!" Marius's eyes widen in pain, and he gags out blood. The image brings a smirk to Nawin's face, but he wasn't done. The Makasha push the blade down and bury it to the earth. Pinning Marius there as well.
Nawin lets go of the handle and kicks to the air using the sword's pommel. Gracefully rotating his body around so his front faces downward, Nawin opens the right palm and a red flaming orb glows into life. "RED FLAME CANNON!" Nawin exclaims and discharges the sizable orb down.
Marius, without a care to his body. Lean up and forcibly rips the sword out of his throat. He grabs the blade and throws it upwards to the incoming attack. The sword collides with the orb to cause an explosion to erupt in midair. Marius feels his throat quickly regenerating while he looks up at the dense red tint smoke cloud.
The smoke slowly disperses. Nawin sees Marius standing down there, smirking at him. The sickening injury on the neck is utterly healed. There's not a sign of even a small scare from where the sword was launched through.
Seeing that Marius may be truly immortal. Nawin begins to formulate some plan at least take down the man. 'He is a Vampire... If I sever his head will that do the trick?' Nawin thinks, then an image of Freed appears. 'Most likely not... I've done that to Freed, and he stayed very much alive. But, I won't know until I try.' The Makasha summons a new Gunblade on his right hand.
Marius lands on the ground and straightens up. A red magic orb appears in existence, in front of the Vampire. Marius thrust his right hand at it to produce a dense beam that flies toward the Makasha.
In response, Nawin throws the Gunblade forward. The weapon speed passes the beam from the right and heads to Marius. Nawin disappears in a Black Flash and appearing next to the sword, grabbing it in midair and flies toward Marius. Nawin's eyes widen though when spotting another orb form in front of Marius. With a smirk, the Tepes punch the orb to discharge another beam at near point-blank range.
The broad magic beam hits the Makasha full, enveloping his entire body. Marius sees Nawin rushing out of the blast from the right. His whole body is steaming. Cuts are all over his clothes, and first-degree burn marks can be seen on the arms and neck.
Nawin glares and appears in front of Marius in a Black Flash. The Tepes is slightly taken off-guard by the sheer speed and clumsily takes a step back to narrowly avoid a side slash to his neck. Nawin shoots his left hand forward, and Marius cocks his head to dodge it. He looks and gasps when seeing a grin spread on the Makasha's lip.
Nawin pulls his left arm back with a shadow dagger in hand. The sharp blade cleaves cleanly through the Tepes's neck and severs it off of the torso. The dagger shatters from existence, then with both hands on the Gunblade, Nawin swings it down with full force to cut Marius's headless corpse in half.
The Tepes's body split to the sides and collapse to the ground with the head laid just a few feet behind. Nawin rests the Gunblade on his shoulder and stares at the mutilated corpse with sharp eyes. "... Are you going to get back up from this, you bastard?"
"Ahahahaha!" Nawin's eyes widen at the unmistakable laugh. He looks forward and is stunned to see Marius's head looking at him, that disgusting smirk still present even with his current situation. "I told you!" Marius exclaims "I AM IMMORTAL! NOTHING CAN KILL ME! NOTHING!" he screams and opens his mouth wide to discharge a surprise magic blast.
Nawin cuss and brings the Gunblade forward to block the attack. The blast collides and pushes the Makasha back, but he remains on his feet. Nawin crunch slightly and bend the blade back then with a roar, push the blade up in a swift manner to redirect the blast to the sky.
The Gunblade starts cracking before shattering from existence. The blast has pushed it to the limit. Nawin looks forward and is again left stun when seeing Marius standing there, all healed up. Liked a minute ago he wasn't left laid on the ground in dismembered.
Marius chuckles and lifts his arms up. "Do you get it now? The power of the Sephiroth Graal! It has given me more power than I can ever imagine and best of all True Immortality! You can't kill me! Cut my head, rip my heart, dismember me to pieces, and I'll still be back!" Marius grins when seeing Nawin starts to get it, realizing the direness in this battle "You'll die here, Nawin Makasha!"
East
Issei grabs an incoming punch from the side then hurls the enemy in the air. Riser comes flying out of nowhere with his right knee raised, smashing brutally to the soldier's chest which sends him blasting away. "Getting less and less," the Phenex comments, landing beside Issei "Yeah, we are at the final stretch."
Issei and Riser blinks and jumps back to avoid rubbles dropping from the sky. Broken bodies of Gargoyles suddenly come crashing down and shatters on the earth. Akeno lands above the pile of bodies and turns around to face the boys. Riser and Issei sweat a bit when those sharp yellow electric eyes set at them. It really reminds them how terrifying Akeno can be when in battle, though never as frightening as when someone messes with Nawin in her presence.
Akeno opens her mouth, but it closes, and she takes a step back to avoid a flying body blowing pass by. Riser and Issei blink then stir their sight to the right and sees Koneko hopping over the unconscious soldiers on the ground before stopping next to them.
Akeno returns her sight forward and notices something about Issei. His eyes show small signs of downcast. "What's wrong, Issei?" she asks and has the rest turn to the Hyoudou. "H-huh?" Issei blinks in surprise by the question "You look down... What's wrong?" Akeno repeats as her sharp expression shift to concern.
Issei looks down at the boosted gear before it shifts to all the bodies littered the battlefield. The bloody and dismembered corpse are everywhere including in piles. "It's... It's just I never experience this kind of war... This kind of bloodshed."
Akeno along with Koneko and Riser grows concern for their friend. They keep forgetting that Issei was human not that long ago. Living a normal life. It's utterly unforeseeable that in just a span of half a year, things would change so much for him. Issei isn't like Nawin. The two's pasts are the utterly polar opposite of one another. One which lives a normal and bright early life while the other lives a more somber, dark, and unnatural path.
Being the leader and the oldest of the group. Akeno takes a step forward and places a hand on the Hyoudou's shoulder, giving a soft squeeze. Issei looks forward in surprise and sees the Himejima giving him a soft and supportive smile. "Something I and Rias forget that it wasn't so long ago that you turned to a Devil... It's honestly crazy to think it hasn't even been a year since that happened. You were so quick to adapt to the Supernatural World that we didn't give much thought on stuff like this. So, in Rias place, I'll be here to offer you words to help you, Issei."
Akeno looks around the battlefield, scanning at all the corpses. "This is how Supernatural World commonly operates in the past... Nothing but bloody war. You were fortunate enough to be able to start your new life as a Devil in a more normal path. It has done good and bad for you. I'm sure you never expected to be participating in this kind of bloodshed war. I know you are nervous and uneasy at killing this amount of people... Even if they are our enemy... It shouldn't be easy for you. It also shouldn't be easy for you to be participating in this kind of war. Killers and murderous relish this kind of chaos. So," Akeno turns to Issei "It's okay to be downcast... To be nervous, but you must remember that we are battling for the good. We are battling to stop from this bloodshed to repeat."
Akeno decides to add something else, something she knows that'll help the Hyoudou. "Also," she retracts her arm and looks to the south. "I am sure that Nawin-kun feels the same way as you" Akeno states which surprise Issei and he too turn around to look at his friend battling against Marius in the far distance. "Really?" Issei asks "Of course, but he doesn't show it for Carmilla and our sake. Nawin-kun, he needs to be the pillar to support everyone's morals. Like he did at the start of the war. That's the responsibility he rests on his shoulders. If he shows signs of discouragement and weakness, then it'll affect the Carmillas and us. It's something I love and dislike about him. He always holds concern for others before himself."
Akeno looks forward and sees Issei is in deep thought. She and Rias know that he holds much secret admiration toward Nawin. It's a relationship similar to a younger brother looking up to their big brother. Both girls know that Nawin is one of the significant sources of motivation for Issei to become the man he is now.
Slowly, a smile break from the Hyoudou's face. He looks up at Akeno, and there's that fire of determination shining back in those brown orbs. "Thanks, Akeno-senpai" Issei speaks "You're right, we are fighting this war for the better to the people in Vamhaven. All of us are with Nawin being the hardest one to push through this war... I can't be outdone by him or let him down!" Akeno, Riser, and Koneko smile at this. "Very good," Riser smirk and slap the Hyoudou's back "About time you grow back a pair" "Oh shut it," Issei replies, rolling his eyes but the smile on his face still stands.
Akeno turns and sees the last batch of Tepes's forces charging toward them with dozens of Gargoyles souring through the air. "Alright," Akeno slams her fist together to produce an electric spark, her eyes glow brightly "Let's finish this side once and for all." Riser grins as flaming aura swirl around him. Koneko pulls her right glove back to tighten it. Issei opens his eyes to reveal those emerald orbs "Yeah! Let's win this for Carmilla!" he shouts, bringing the boosted gear forward. The four breaks out into a sprint, charging toward the Tepes battalion equipped with a hundred soldiers.
Frontline
Cadell stares cautiously at his opponent standing just a few meters away. He takes a glance back at the destroyed area at the side. 'My rapier won't survive that kind of strikes.' Cadell holds his sword up with the right hand then brings his left hand on the blade, tracing the index finger down on the sharp metal. Slowly, the blade begins gleaming in red. Showing that the Captain has added his own mana into the sword to strengthen it.
Cadell lowers the weapon to the side and looks at Akame. "You can't defeat me," the Captain state and raise his left hand to discharge four magic missiles from the palm. Akame takes one step forward then walks toward the attack without a hint of worry. The missiles cuts through the air and all four contacts Akame at once.
"Uh?!" Cadell gasp in disbelief when seeing the missile did nothing to the Knight. All four collided and dispersed. No injuries or even scratches are shown on the girl's body. It's like the missiles were hitting a brick wall and couldn't get through it.
Akame didn't stop as she continues to advance toward the Captain. Cadell growls and reopens his palm once more to discharge a wide red magic beam. The beam cuts through the earth like butter then impacts Akame, enveloping her entire body before it ignites in a booming explosion that levels the area.
With a satisfied smirk on his face, Cadell watches the dense smoke lift to the air before looking down to only have his entire expression morph to stun. He stumbles back unconsciously in freight. Akame emerges from the black smoke without sustaining a single injury. The dark red aura wraps around her like a guard. She continues to advance closer while those demonic eyes of hers stare daggers at the Captain.
Akame takes one more step and disappears in a black blur. Cadell immediately goes on alert and looks around to find her. A static sound erupts from behind that cause Cadell to turn around only to find Akame standing there. She snatches his left wrist and brings the Black Thunder down to cut his arm clean off the shoulder.
Instead of feeling pain, Cadell is just stunned by how things transpired. He couldn't even register the agonizing feeling of losing his arm. It was like the moment he blinks; his arm has just been dismembered from the shoulder. Cadell quickly reacts by thrusting his right arm forward to produce a telekinetic blast that sends Akame blasting away. Creating space between the two.
"A-amazing," Gasper whispers, watching closely at the battle going in the distance. Rias, who is sited on the ground, getting healed by the Dhampir is also observing the fight with keen eyes. She is still surprised by the sudden power Akame is revealing. It's like she is an entirely different person. An even colder and more dangerous individual than before.
But, there's something that's unsettling about this change. Something that has Rias's stomach twists and turns in uneasy. It is those eyes. Those demonic and frightening eyes. It's like a hidden demon within Akame has released. A beast that Rias has never thought would exist in the Knight. She can't tell if this is the Knight's sacred gear awakening or is it something else, something more dangerous.
"Gasper," Rias calls out, turning to the boy "I'm better now, so go help Captain Stan," "A-Alright," the Dhampir nods and stands up, quickly rushing to the unconscious Captain laid not far from them. Rias remains sited and avert her sight back to the battle. She sees that it has gotten personal and decide it's best to have Akame finish this.
Cadell looks at his left shoulder and cuss. He looks ahead to see Akame dropping his arm to the ground. She keeps a firm gaze forward then swipe her left arm to produce a red ball of flame. The magic attack hits the arm and envelops it, burning it to ashes. "Huh," Cadell smirk at this, finding it very amusing that the Knight took his advice on destroying his arm if she had another chance to cut it off him.
Cadell takes a deep breath, his face tightens before he releases a shout. Cadell's magic signature spikes and a new arm literally shoots out from the socket. Rias and Gasper are stunned by how quick the Captain was able to regenerate a limb. It was at a rate the two have never seen before.
Cadell grins while looking at his new left arm. It is glistering in fresh blood that drips on the ground. He clenches the hand into a fist and brings it up, feeling no numbness or such to slow his movement. 'Though,' Cadell speaks mentally, his eyes narrow 'I shouldn't allow myself to suffer another injury like that. Regenerating a limb takes an immense portion on my reserve.'
The Captain look toward the front to see Akame not looking alarmed in the slightest by what just transpired. Those demonic eyes still staring sharply at him like daggers. "Is this the extent of loyalty you hold for Marius?" Akame questions. "What?" Cadell's expression morph to rage by such an inquiry "Don't you dare question my loyalty for Lord Marius, Devil" he snarls out, showing a range of anger that's never seen before.
Red aura comes to life around the Captain before imploding in an explosive degree. The earth cracks and shatters by the pressure emitting. "I'll gladly give my life for that man," Cadell brings the rapier forward, pointing it straight at the Knight "He picked me from the street and gave me a purpose. To be his second-hand and the Captain of the Tepes's Military Forces. Instead of letting me rot in the streets, he has given me the opportunity for a second chance."
Cadell glares fiercely at Akame. "What about your loyalty? Can you look me in the eyes and say that you would give your life away for your King?! I read the reports... You have only been his Knight for a mere few months while I served under Lord Marius for six years!"
Akame remains impassive from the outburst. "I asked because at your current level... You have no hope of killing me. You can't grasp that idea and don't seem bothered by it. I can imagine that Marius sent you out here to rid of us and you are failing him... That doesn't seem to bother you at all" Akame states and can see anger building in Cadell's face as more she speaks.
Akame looks down at the Black Thunder. "You questioned if I would give my life away to protect Nawin-kun. If I had that kind of loyalty when being his Knight for such a short amount of time. Even with that being the fact... I have seen him being nothing but honest and sincere to me. He puts so much trust in me that he rarely does to anyone else and I return it with my own trust. Nawin Makasha is someone special that has graced my life and given me a purpose to live on."
Akame looks up at the Captain "You asked if I would throw my life away to save his?" she remarks, then brings the Black Thunder forward, holding it tightly with both hands. Her eyes sharpen like a blade. "Without hesitation."
Cadell stares down at his rapier. The weapon Marius had bestowed upon him. He clenches the handle tightly and brings the weapon upwards, getting to a stance. Cadell looks at his opponent in her eyes. "Then let's see, Akame, who shall return to their Master's side. Whose loyalty will prevail in this battle."
The two swordsmen stare at each other in silence. The gust of wind blows past them. Lifting the scent of blood coming from all the corpses that litter the battlefield. Both slowly slide their right feet forward before kicking off the ground, blasting toward one another in midair.
The fighters bring their blade forward to strike at each other. A shockwave erupts from both weapons clashing. The ground beneath exploded by the booming force. Both swordsmen land on the ground while keeping their blades grinding at each other. Sparks come to life from metal rubbing metal.
Akame advances by lifting her right feet and kicks Cadell on his right thigh, causing him to grunt and step back though still keeps his repair strongly up. Cadell retaliates with sweeping his left feet forward, but Akame sees it coming and jumps over to avoid the attack.
Akame blasts her right feet forward and nails it at the center of Cadell's face. The Captain is sent sliding back from the surprise attack. He instinctively jumps to the left to avoid Akame blazing pass with the Black Thunder held on the side, intended to cut him in half. Cadell counters by swinging the repair down, but Akame is able to turn around and parry through the strike.
Cadell sees the Black Thunder's blade start cracking in red lighting as it heads towards him. The Captain lowers the rapier and jumps back in quick reflex, but he is left stun when the blade discharges a lightning strike. The electric attack hits Cadell in the chest and ensnarls his entire body, shocking him.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Cadell scream out in agony, feeling his skin and inner organs burning by the thousands of volts. Akame appears in front with the Black Thunder held up in the right hand, she brings it down and cut the Captain's chest and abdomen in a long downward line. Blood explodes from the open wound, gushing all over the Captain's body. The pain allows Cadell to regain his movement from temporarily being stunned. He promptly counters by thrusting his left hand forward, blasting the Knight away with his telekinetic ability.
"Kuh!" Cadell cuss and looks down at the slash wound. Fortunately, the blade didn't cut too deep into the body, but it is a significant injury that'll cost him more mana than he wants to use to heal it. If he doesn't heal it, he'll surely lose too much blood.
Akame gracefully lands on her feet, sliding a few feet on the earth before bending forward to stop. She straightens and looks forward to her opponent. Akame notices the injury she inflicted is already in the process of healing. 'So, he is risking to waste more many to heal the wound,' Akame notes, swiping the Black Thunder to the side to rid of the fresh blood 'I'll keep cutting until he collapses to exhaustion.'
When the wound is completely recovered, Cadell stands straight and return to a stance. "I won't go down that easily!" Cadell howls out and pierces the rapier in the earth to discharge a massive and violent red magic wave. Akame watches the destructive attack destroying everything in its path and heading toward her at a frightening pace.
When the magic wave is just inches away, Akame brings her left arm up and merely slaps the attack to the side, entirely redirecting it. Cadell is left in disbelief and watch his offense collide with a large boulder in the distance. Next thing an earthshattering explosion erupts that levels a share of the land. The dense smoke lifts to the air, created by the aftermath of the attack. Beneath it shows a massive, burnt crater.
Cadell's mouth is agape and his eyes wide. 'S-she was able to deflect that by merely slapping it?!' he utters in astonish. Akame takes a step forward, and before Cadell can even register it in his mind, she appears in front of him and delivers a slash across his chest.
Blood explodes, and a large open wound spread across the Captain's chest. The fresh fluid drips down and paints the entire steel chainmail in red. Cadell gasp in pain and takes a few trembling steps back before he is interrupted by Akame deliver a brutal high kick to his stomach, sending him flying back and crashing through a high stone-boulder placed behind.
Rias watch the battle and perceives it is coming to an end. Cadell is simply outmatched and rapidly losing his mana. That last attacked took lots out of him. It is clear Akame is superior when it comes to sword-skills, and Cadell tried to counter it with magic attacks, but even that proves fruitless against the Knight.
"Gahhh!" Cadell vomits out blood on the earth, painting the surface in red. He wipes his lip and gradually returns to his feet. The rapier is still held tightly in the right hand. "Grghhh," Cadell growls in frustration, watching Akame advancing toward him. Her expression returns cold and compose. Not once in their battle has, she shown any sign of shocked or surprise. It's like she already predicts how this will end. End with him being killed by her.
Akame comes to a stop right in front of the Captain. Her eyes bore into his. Cadell smirk and suddenly brings the rapier to the side then swing it forward in full strength. Akame's eyes gleam before she raises her left hand to catch the red blade in precise accuracy. The field behind levels in destruction from the force emitted behind the strike.
"I-Impossible..." Cadell whispers out in disbelief, looking at the Knight's hand that caught his sword. He added all of his strength behind that strike. It held enough power to sever a large stone in half. Akame flicks her left wrist to the side, and the rapier's blade snaps in half, further shocking the Captain.
Akame tosses the broken blade to the ground and in an unforeseeable speed, deliver a dozen slashes forward. Silence befalls and Cadell just look at forward in stun before stumbling black. A second pass and numbers of slash wound explode all over the Captain's body. Blood immediately pours out from the open cuts and leaks down like a waterfall.
Cadell drops the broken sword and collapse onto one knee. He groans out in anguish, refusing to allow himself to scream. Cadell abruptly feels an unbearable pain surging from all of the cut wounds, which have him screaming loudly in agony before vomiting out a frightening amount of blood.
Akame looks down at her broken opponent with emptiness. No ounce of pity or any sort of emotion related to that is shown in those demonic eyes. "Your fate is already sealed," Akame speaks "You may not have noticed, but I have severed the tendons in your wrists and forearms. Currently, you can't even wield a sword and with your drained mana reserve... You stand no chance to heal them."
The scabbard for the Black Thunder appears in Akame's left hand. She swiftly and gracefully sheathes the black sword. Akame looks closely and sees Cadell collapse to the ground, unable to move from the pain. Her eyes glow in confusion 'Cutting the tendons is painful, but the emotion of hurt Cadell is displaying is too great... Did my attacks became more lethal?'
Akame gets interrupted from her thoughts by an invisible force slamming on the front, sending her sliding back for a few meters. Akame opens her eyes and glances forward to see Cadell getting back to his feet, an action that slightly surprises the Knight.
Cadell growls and glares at Akame. His bloody face shows nothing but enrage. "Y-you'll... You'll have to kill me before I lay down!" he exclaims and starts charging up mana, using every once that's left inside him.
Akame's eyes lower to half-lid when seeing what the Captain is planning. "You're going to die," she speaks "Another magic attack, and you'll drop dead... For what? You know that it'll do nothing to me" "For Lord Marius," Cadell reply, gaining Akame's attention "You'd think I'll disappoint him by laying there and slowly dying!"
The aura around Cadell becomes fiercer that it starts causing the land to rumble. Akame pushes her thumb on the Black Thunder's handle, forcing it slightly out of the sheath. Her eyes stare at the Captain with slight admiration shown in them. "We fight for our Masters, and we die for our Masters... Now it's your time, Cadell Hemfell." Unable to use his hands, Cadell opens his mouth to show a red magic orb charging inside.
In a blink of an eye, Akame appears behind Cadell and click the Black Thunder back into the sheath. The Captains stand frozen in place. The magic orb suddenly shatters from existence. Closing his mouth, Marius wears a faint sorrowful smile. "Sorry... Lord Marius" he gets to whisper out before his head slips off from the torso and plummet to the ground. The headless corpse promptly follows, crumbling forward.
Akame looks up to the sky and takes a deep breath before exhaling. Opening her eyes, the blackness in the sclera slowly starts to disappear, flooding away to the corner of the eyes. The pupil reverts back to a normal shape.
Rias watch Akame turns around and see that demonic eyes are absent. To her relief, it seems the Knight didn't lose control over this new-found power she has awakened. A figure stops beside the Gremory causing her to look and see Captain Stan standing there with the help of Gasper. He stares at Akame with unreadable expression plastered on his face.
Akame stops in front of the three and shifts her gaze at Stan. "It is over," she merely states "Indeed..." Stan replies slowly "No offense, but I didn't foresee you to be that strong... Strong enough to overpowered Cadell to that degree." Akame remains stoic "Words of encouragement can come a long way... Especially given by a person you cherish," she says, surprising the group.
Hearing those words brings a smile on Rias's face. Getting the picture of it now. It's Akame's loyalty and devotion for Nawin that pushed her to new heights. She doesn't want to disappoint him. To her, losing against Cadell is not an option.
Rias takes a deep breath before pushing herself to stand. She looks at Akame. "I agree with those words. Good job, Akame" "Thanks," the Knight replies with a faint smile. "Alright," Rias turns serious and shift to the Captain "Captain Stan, Akame, Gasper, and I will head east to our friends to regroup." Rias view the frontline and sees the Carmilla Captains are at the final stretch to clearing the remaining Tepes. "You should head to the frontline," "Yeah," Stan nods "I'll lead them for the final push then we'll see what happens next... Marius could still pull some stunt, so we should be ready for anything" "Indeed."
With a nod to each other. Stan and Rias's group take to the skies and head their separate ways.
South
A blinding light erupts, follow by an explosion that levels the land. The light fades to show Nawin and Marius levitating at a center of a deep crater. Their right fist is pushing against each other. Both pull their fists back to launch their left elbow forward. Their elbow connects and the crater cracks by the shockwave emitted by the strength behind the fighter's attacks.
Both pull back and float away from each other. The grin plastered on Marius's face disappears and replace with a shock expression. "What?" he whispers, snapping his sight to the North. Nawin expression is a complete opposite. He smirks in proud. "Seems like you lost," Nawin state, making Marius turns back to face him. A look of anger form on the Tepes's face.
Nawin crosses his arms, the smirk widens. "I told you... My Knight would defeat Cadell." In his mind, Nawin felt great happiness for his dear friend. While in battle he was able to sense that spark. The spark of Akame unleashing her true power. The power he felt for only a moment when he turned her into his Knight. 'Well done, Akame.'
"Huh," Marius cuss "Even you failed me... Cadell," he utters in disappointment "What a waste to pick you off the street. Should have left you to rot." Nawin's eyes widen by those words before it flares in anger. He didn't care if Cadell was his enemy. Learning this fact and seeing Marius doesn't give a single damn about the Captain's downfall. It utterly pisses the Makasha off in no small degree.
"You fucking bastard!" Marius receives a surprise and vicious right hook to his mouth, sending him flying back. The wings flaps and Marius regain his footing. He looks up and smirks at the angry Makasha. A cut can be seen on the side of the Tepes's lip before he spits out blood. The wound quickly heals up.
Nawin clenches his hands and glares in menace. "To treat your subordinates like trash... You just give me more reason to kill you and the belief that you need to die to give the people of Transmere peace!" "Instead of saying it... Why don't you try!" Marius exclaims and blasts toward the Makasha.
Nawin charges up his mana and gets to his stance. Marius looks to throw a punch but instead opens the palm to fire a short-range magic blast. Nawin, in the last second, was able to teleport away in a Black Flash. He reappears from above and brings both hands together, slamming it down to Marius's head without holding an ounce of strength back. The vampire is send blasting to the earth and crash in a vicious degree that the earth rumble.
Nawin opens his right palm, aiming it at the cloud of dust. "Thunder Roar Howl," he whispers and discharges the massive yellow lightning strike. The attack collides, and form into a booming explosion inside the crater.
Suddenly, the flames in the explosion start swirling around in an unnatural way. The smoke disperses to reveal Marius standing at the center of the crater, moving the flames around with his hands. He roars and thrust both arms forward to direct the fire to the Makasha.
Nawin slams his hands together and in the precise moment, spread them apart at a rapid velocity that it cuts the incoming flame wave in half and disperses it into nothingness. Marius appears in front and gives an elbow slash that cuts the Makasha's forehead, then he gives a brutal kick to the stomach to blast the other to the ground.
Marius thrust his right arm down and discharge a dense red magic beam. Nawin quickly regains balance and lands on his feet. He looks upwards at the incoming attack then charges up his mana. Nawin disappears in a Black Flash and appears in front of Marius. Before he gets a chance to attack, Nawin feels a vicious blow connect to his stomach. "Gahhh!" he gasps out for air while his eyes widen in shock.
"Kukuku," Marius chuckles and leans forward near the Makasha's ear. "Your famous technique can't keep working forever..." he whispers and brings his right hand back to grab hold of the Makasha's neck. Marius grins in satisfaction and gives a quick left hook to Nawin's face. The Tepes deliver a few more hard punches that bust the Makasha's lip before releasing him and finish off with a hard-right knee to the stomach, blasting Nawin away.
Snapping his eyes open, Nawin stretches his arms and stops in midair. He coughs a few times by the attacked on his stomach. Exhaling once, Nawin looks at the smirking Marius. 'He's gotten stronger,' the Makasha notes 'And in such a short amount of time... How? Is it the grail doing? I felt in our first encounter, even with the assistance of Akeno... He and I were almost in a similar level, but now there's a large gap.'
Closing his eyes, Nawin begins to power up to the next level. Tapping into his true power. Marius watch the black aura swirl violently around the Makasha, feeling his magic signature skyrocketing to the next level. "Huh," the Tepes smirk "Won't make a difference" he states.
Marius opens his mouth, ready to speak until six light rods form around him and slams to his midsection. Nawin appears in front and gives a vicious and quick four combo. Right and left hooks to the face followed by a downward elbow to the center of Marius's face, leaving a sharp cut down on the center of the face. Nawin screams and finishes with a stiff left kick that smashes at the side of Marius's head and sends him blasting away.
Nawin looks at the immobilize Tepes and brings his right hand forward to flick the index and middle finger. The six rod glows brightly and detonates in a sizeable explosion. "Ahahahaha!" Nawin's eyes widen by hearing laughter inside the cloud of smoke. Marius emerges from it with barely any wounds beside minor burn marks. The cut on his face quickly heals close.
Marius's eyes gleam and not a moment later a hole of a size of a baseball appears through Nawin's stomach and left shoulder. "Gahh!" the Makasha screams out in pain and spirals to the ground in a moment of losing concentration. Marius flaps his wings to advance in speed while using his telekinetic ability to pull the Makasha closer.
"You are weak!" Marius exclaims and delivers a stiff punch square on Nawin's stomach. A shockwave erupts from the strike and Nawin coughs out air, his eyes widen all the way in pain. Marius pulls back and brings both hands down on the Makasha's head, blasting him to the ground.
Sayomi's stoic expression begins to crack. Her lip twitching to a frown and her eyes sharpen dangerously as the battle against Nawin and Marius continues. "Nawin..." Sayomi whispers "What are you doing... Start tapping into your true power. You've been stalled at the same level for too long now."
Sayomi watches Nawin crawls out of the crater, then Marius lands in front of him. Her eyes glow when seeing Marius puts his foot on Nawin's head, pushing him into the ground. Sayomi grits her teeth and exhales. Unclenching her fists, the Pureblood looks onwards after restraining her emotion. "Push him, Marius... Keep pushing him until he reaches his breaking point."
"Kukuku," Marius look down at boy under his feet "See?! This is the result that'll yield when I use all my power!" "Fuck your power!" Nawin pushes the Tepes's feet away with his right up and jumps up, delivering a midair skin kick connecting to the side of Marius's face.
Nawin lands and burst forward to the momentarily stunned Vampire. When in perfect range, Nawin deliver a high kick to the Tepes's chin that sent him blasting to the air. Nawin falls on all fours and disappears in a Black Flash. Appearing behind Marius, Nawin wraps his arms around the man's legs, and his legs squeeze tightly on the arms. Sealing Marius from escaping. Nawin uses his levitation prowess to bring the two speeding down to the earth in rapid speed.
Marius looks down and his heart races when seeing himself rapidly approaching the ground. Nawin smirk widely "TAKE THIS YOU BASTARD, FLYING PILEDRIVER." Marius's head crashes viciously to the ground that it creates a cloud of dust and the earth cracks far and wide. Nawin burst from the dust and lands a few meters away. His red eyes are scanning the brown cloud closely.
A minute passes by, and Marius walks out of the dust before collapsing to his knee. He has his right arm gripping the neck firmly. The grimace expression clear on his heavily bruised face. Nawin smirk in enjoyment. "You may be immortal, but you can still feel pain" he states out. The holes on the Makasha's shoulder and stomach already in the process of full regeneration.
Marius snaps his head up and glares venomously at the Makasha. Nawin quickly disappears in a Black Flash. He appears behind and slams his right feet at the back of the Tepes's head, slamming the man's face forward to the ground.
Nawin finally grasps a sign of when Marius decides to use his telekinetic ability. It is in his eyes. The moment those red eyes gleam is when Marius activates his telekinetic. It is similar to what Nawin noticed when with Sayomi. Her eyes would gleam when she attacked those evil spirits.
'If his eyes light up... I'll just teleport away from his sight.' Nawin sees Marius twist his right palm towards him, red orb form to existence on the palm. Nawin quickly pulls his feet and jumps to the right to dodge the magic ball. He lands on the side and kicks the Tepes on the rib, sending him barreling away.
East
"Hey, it's Rias!" Riser informs the rest, standing on a tall boulder and caught a glimpse of the Gremory's unmistakable crimson lock in the distance. "Really?!" Issei drops beside the Phenex and looks onwards with excitement. "Oh yeah!" the Hyoudou grins in joy at seeing his lover and begins waving at her.
Rias smile in relief when seeing all her friends are well. Aside from few scrapes and cuts, they have not sustained any fatal injuries. Gasper smiles happily and waves back at the Hyoudou. Akame wears a faint smile, glad to see the rest are safe.
The three drops to the ground to stop in front of Akeno and Koneko. Issei jumps off the boulder and lands in front of Rias. "Aha, you're safe!" he shouts in relief and immediately embraces the Gremory. "Ehahaha," Rias giggles as she is spun around a few times before being pulled onto the Hyoudou's chest. She smiles lovingly and returns the affectionate gesture. "Glad to see you are doing well, Issei," Rias says happily.
Akeno and the rest smile at the couple's heartwarming reunion. No doubt both were worried about each other's safety during the bloody battle. Riser slides off the rock and walks toward the group. "So," he stops on the side, crossing his arm "You defeated Cadell?" Rias reluctantly separate from her lover and turns to the Phenex "Not me..." she says and turns to Akame "Akame defeated him."
"Really?" Issei tilts his head and turns to the Knight with a look of surprise that matches with the rest. "Akame was amazing!" Gasper says with a smile "She was so strong that Cadell could barely do anything." The Dhampir's words just shock the group more. "Don't think much of it," Akame affirms "I just did my job assigned by Nawin-kun, and I succeeded" "He ordered you to kill Cadell?" Akeno asks, not having knowledge of this "If an opportunity arises, yes" "Well good job, must be a tough battle" Riser insert "It was."
Rias stare at the dozens upon dozens of piles of Tepes's soldiers littering the battlefield. "I'm guessing you guys wrapped things up here?" she says, turning to Akeno for confirmation. "Yes," the Himejima nod "When seeing the battle is no longer heading to their favor some tried to retreat, but we restrained them" "Good job."
Rias was about to speak, but a booming shockwave comes from the south that forces her and the rest to turn. All of them quickly snap back to the realization of that the war is not over. In the distance, Nawin and Marius continue to clash. Both fighting relentlessly against one another. Each of their connect blows causes shockwave that can be felt miles away.
"We need to help him," Akeno says, taking a step forward, ready to bolt to her lover's side. "Don't," Akame speaks up and has Akeno snaps at her, looking furious "Why not?!" "A-Akeno," Rias utters, surprised by the sudden outburst from the Himejima. Akame remains calm and just looks directly at the Akeno's yellow electric orbs. It is not hard to see that the two don't really see eye to eye with things. They don't usually get along with one another and tend to keep their distance.
"Do you think Nawin-kun will appreciate us interrupting his battle?" Akame starts "We did our part, and now it is his turn to do his. What would it tell him if we jump in there and help him defeat Marius?" "Makes him feel weak," Riser inserts and gets a nod from the Makasha's Knight "Exactly. If we step in that battle, then we might as well kick away Nawin-kun's pride."
The others turn to Akeno and see her staring at the ground. Her hands clench into a fist. Her eyes are showing a range of emotions. An image of Nawin's smiling face appears on Akeno's mind. She knew. She didn't need Akame to tell it to her. That if she and the others jump into the battle to help Nawin, it'll greatly upset him on the inside. But she had seen and felt Marius's power when herself and Nawin battled him. In her heart, she doesn't know if Nawin can overcome the Tepes.
Akame's eyes show some disapproval when looking at the Himejima. She can clearly see that Akeno doesn't fully trust Nawin to get the job done, doesn't think he can defeat Marius. Akame wanted to say something but bites her tongue to keep it shut. There isn't need for a fight to break loose. Instead, the Knight turns her head to the side, staying silent.
"We should at least head to the frontline and meet up with Captain Stan for now," Issei suggest when feeling the air around them is getting tense. Rias nod and smile in appreciation for her lover's insertion. "Good idea, Issei." Rias turn to Akeno "Let's head to the frontline and watch from there, Akeno. If Nawin-kun is in danger than we'll jump in... For now, let him fight his battle" "... Alright," Akeno sighs and nod.
Everyone releases their wings and takes to the skies. Heading south.
South
"Annihilation Sphere!" Marius throws the large spinning red orb down at the incoming Makasha. Instead of slowing down, Nawin adds more power and shoots through the air at great speed. With the sphere just a meter away, Nawin thrust his right arm up "ICE GLACIER STORM!" he exclaims and releases a storm of ice.
The storm envelopes the sphere and in seconds, freezing the entire thing. Marius's attack became worthless and dropped down like a rock. Nawin appears in front with a greatsword hold above his head. He screams and swings it down, but Marius's catch the sides of the blade with his hands.
"Grhhhh!" Nawin uses more of his strength to push the large weapon down, but Marius retaliates by adding more pressure. The shadow weapon begins to crack from the tension. With a swift movement, Marius pushes the blade to the side and shatters it into two pieces. He then shoots his right knee forward and connects it to the Makasha's stomach.
Marius grabs a large shard from the pieces of the broken greatsword and rams it into the center of Nawin's chest. "Ahahah!" he laughs when seeing Nawin's face shows pain and grimaces. "Not good enough!" Marius pulls the shards back and brings it down to the Makasha's head.
Nawin's entire body cracks in black lightning. He stretches his arms to the side "Lightning Steam!" Black Lightning discharges in a close-range from the Makasha's body and shocks Marius's entire being. "Ahhhhhhh!" the Tepes yell in pain and drops the shard. Nawin summons a broadsword and launches it through the center of the Vampire's forehead. "Payback, bitch!" he shouts and kicks Marius to the stomach, sending him blasting away and plummeting to the ground.
Nawin winces and rests the right hand on his chest. He pants hoarsely and feels exhaustion slowly setting in. "I can't keep this up..." Nawin looks down and sees Marius lifeless body begins twitching. His eyes snap open, and that disgusting grin returns to his face. Nawin cuss when seeing the Tepes getting back to his feet.
Nawin drops his right arm and takes a deep breath then exhales. "Looks like my best chance is to hit him with my most powerful spell... If even cutting his head or piercing his brain doesn't do anything." Black Aura explodes around the Makasha, his red eyes glow brightly "I'll just obliterate him from existence!"
"Oh?" Marius utters in intrigue, sensing the Makasha's mana keeps on raising to Satan-level. "What are you planning to do?"
Frontline
"Captain Stan!" Rias drops in front of the Captain with the rest landing behind her. "Ah, Rias," Stan greets the others with a smile "I assume the East is taken care of?" "Yes, it is done." Rias scan behind the man to see the soldiers are taking a temporary break. The Captains stood in an arranged post, ready for any other attack that could appear.
It didn't take much for Rias to sense that all of the surviving soldiers are thoroughly exhausted from the battle. She is in relief to see that the casualty isn't significant. A couple of hundreds of soldiers are resting well and recovering from injuries they sustained.
"You aren't moving out?" Issei asks "No," Stan shakes his head and looks to the battle raging in the distance "We will stay here in case more Tepes's troop appears or the Gargoyles rain from the skies. Right now... It is the Black Flash duty to take down Marius. My Queen has put trust on him that he can stop Marius... He has proved to the rest of the Captain and me that he can get the job done."
Everyone immediately turns their sight to the battle when sensing Nawin's mana just skyrocketed to Satan-class. "That's..." Issei whispers, seeing the Makasha bringing both arms back "Final Lightning." "Final Lighting?" Stan repeats "It's Nawin-kun's strongest technique," Akame insert, watching the battle closely "He is intending to eradicate Marius."
"Well," Stan scratch his head with his new and regenerated arm "He's going to need to do that because Marius is truly immortal." "He is?" Akeno asks, "We saw Nawin thrust a sword through the bastard's brain... Any ordinary Vampire would be killed by that, and I was informed by one of the Captains that they witnessed Nawin cleaved Marius's head clean, but he still remains alive."
"Will that be enough though?" Koneko asks, growing in concern for her dear friend life after hearing of Marius truly being immortal. A feeling shared with the members of the group. "We will see..." Rias utters and watch on with anxious. She doesn't want to order the others to jump in until she knows for certain that Nawin can't beat Marius. Furthermore, right now a lot of them are low in mana from battling for so long. Every minute they rest it'll restore their mana by little. Until the time is right, Rias will make her next move.
South
The ground that Marius stands on begins rumbling violently. The earth cracks and shatters by the dense pressure pushing down on it. The clouds near the Makasha begins dispersing into non-existence. All the while with the chaos happening around him, Marius just spread his arms to the side and grin "COME ON! GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU GOT!" he yells "AND I'LL SHOW YOU JUST HOW HELPLESS IT IS!"
Nawin's eyes burn in determination. All the restriction is gone. He is giving is all. "Everything you say?!" he shouts down at the Tepes and begins to smirk, returning his arms forward "No... I'll go beyond!" Marius's eyes widen when the red orbs in the Makasha's eyes change to gold.
In less than a second, Nawin appears in front of Marius. The ground implodes from the force behind the momentum. "I'M PUSHING TO A LEVEL BEYOND!" Nawin begins sending punches upon punches to the Tepes. A barrage of them at a speed that barely anyone can keep up with.
"GAAAHHH!" Marius vomits out blood from the dozens of brutal strikes connecting to his chest, stomach, sides, and everywhere else on his upper body. The ground continues to shatter and breaks by the shockwaves emitting from each attack.
Delivering the last punch, Nawin jumps and sent a picture-perfect dropkick that smashes directly at Marius's face and sends him blasting away in bullet speed. The Tepes crash through three boulders on the way before Nawin appears beneath him and gives a powerful uppercut to the back to blast the man to the sky. The entire area erupts in destruction by the power behind the punch.
The spectators in the frontline watch in utterly speechless as Nawin shows them just why he is held in such high regard. Why he is the strongest devil in the current generation.
Nawin blast to the air and through the cloud of dust before disappearing in a golden flash. Marius flies all over the place in the sky, his whole-body flails around aimlessly. Nawin appears above and sends both feet down to give a brutal kick to the Tepes's stomach. Marius's eyes bulge, and he screams out in blood before being blasts down to the earth.
Nawin's remains in the air, and his eyes revert to red. Black aura charge around him as he extends both arms back. "Your reign ends here, Marius Tepes!" Black Electric orbs form on the palms and charge up in size until it completely envelopes the Makasha's hands.
Nawin watches the dust clears and shows Marius laid on the large crater, unmoved. He puts every ounce of mana into this final attack. Marius shakily opens his eyes and watch the Makasha. A small smirk makes way to his mouth.
"FINAL..." Nawin starts, his red eyes solely focus at the man in the crater. A man he utterly loathes. "LIGHTNING!" Nawin thrust both arms forward and discharges two massive black electric beams down at the Tepes.
Everyone at the frontlines watches the humongous beams impacts the ground and cause the most enormous explosion they have ever seen. The shockwave that follows sends many off their feet. The entire landscape levels in destruction.
Sayomi sees the massive explosion reach dozens of meters to the air and feels the twin mountain rumble. Her expression remains stoic as she watches on.
Amidst the explosion disappearing. A massive and dark mushroom cloud is left behind and can be seen for miles away. A large portion of the land that split Tepes and Carmilla is utterly destroyed and what's left is nothing but craters and rubbles.
"I-Is... Is it over?" a soldier utters out. None give a reply since all of them are still stunned by what they just witnessed. The display of the Makasha's power has left everyone winded. The group is the one that is most stunned. They never knew Nawin was that powerful. The strength he displayed was beyond anything they have witnessed from him in the past.
Nawin descends from the air and lands away from the mushroom cloud that engulfs the massive crater. "Guh," Nawin drops to his knees and gulps down a deep breath of air before exhaling. Putting oxygen into his aching lungs. He looks toward the smoke with his eyes slowly revert to brown.
"Hah," Nawin smile faintly at not sensing a trace of Marius's mana. It is completely gone. "Finally," Nawin pushes himself up and takes a few steps forward but his legs give, and he collapses forward. But, before he can hit the ground, Akame appears and catch him.
Nawin smiles in appreciation and allows his Knight to assist him to stand. "Thanks, Akame" he whispers and gets a warm smile in return from the black-haired girl. "Ahahah! Hell yeah!" Issei drops down in front, grinning "Awesome job, bro!" "Thanks, Issei."
The rest soon joins all coming from the sky. Akeno smiles happily and stops in front of the Makasha. "Hey," Nawin speaks and gets a kiss in return. Akeno pulls back and wraps her arms around the Makasha's neck to give him a hug. "So glad you are safe!" "Had to give it my all and more," Nawin whispers, using his free arm to gently stroke the Himejima's back.
Akeno pulls back and brightly smiles which Nawin returns with his own more faint one, but more than less happiness is evident on his face. Glad that it is all over. Akeno unwraps her arms and takes the Makasha's other arm to support him up.
"Never knew you can cause such destruction," Riser comment, looking at the still visible mushroom cloud "Nii-chan keeps getting stronger," Koneko inserts with a cute smile. Nawin chuckles "The guy was immortal, so I had to completely erase him from existence" "Yeah," Issei laughs "That kind of explosion will definitely get the job done."
"Gotta slow down with being the showstopper, Nawin-kun" Rias inserts with fondness "You're going to get yourself killed one day," "Hah," Nawin smirk "Perhaps you're right. Hopefully with this ended we can return to a normal life for a while" "You said it," Issei cross his arms and nod "I could use that after this war."
Rias smile then turns to look at the aftermath of the battle. "Uh!" Rias's heart skips a beat, and her eyes slowly widen at what she's seeing "I-Impossible." Everyone blinks at the Gremory's horrified expression and turns to see what she is looking. All of them feel their heart stop momentarily.
Stood outside of the smoke is Marius. Half of his body is nothing but disgusting burnt flesh. The once pale skin is now gnarly dark pink with steam emitting out of them. The left eye is completely burnt off along with half of the hair. The other side looks no better with third-degree burn marks spread everywhere.
"Hehehe," Marius still manage to chuckle sinister and looks at the group with his right eye. That eye gleams. "NO!" Nawin shouts and before he knows it. Akame's right arm gets completely rip out of her body and falls to the ground. The Knight's eyes widen, and she releases Nawin in pain and takes a few steps back. Marius grins twistedly, and a sizable hole burns through the Knight's abdomen. Akame coughs out blood and collapses down to the ground.
"Bastard!" Riser shouts and throws a fireball to the Vampire. Marius shifts his gaze at the incoming attack and discards it by simply gazing it. "RISER!" Rias and Issei shout when a massive hole burn through the Phenex's chest. "Uh!" Riser vomits out blood and drops to his knees before crumbling to the ground.
Everything happened so fast that Nawin is in a state of shock. Not a few minutes ago they thought Marius was dead. But now, Akame is on the ground with her right arm missing with a hole through her stomach. Riser laid there, gasping for his life as a massive hole on his chest is visibly displayed on his back.
Nawin looks up and sees Marius shifting his gaze at Akeno. "NO!" Nawin pushes the Himejima away then drops to his knees. He places his right hand on the ground. Nawin's eyes flash in gold for a second and a gold magic dome form into existence around the group.
Marius click his tongue when noticing his telekinetic just bounce off from the dome, leaving small cracks. He takes a moment to regenerate his injuries.
"Akame!" Nawin kneels beside his Knight and pulls her up to his lap. Rias with the help of Gasper already begin healing Riser. Akame grunts and slowly opens her eyes to see the Makasha looking down at her with a concern expression covering his face.
"S-Sorry, N-Nawin-kun," Akame whispers "You have nothing to apologize about you idiot," Nawin says with a weak smile "Just relax and don't move. You'll be alright" "O-Okay." "Koneko, Akeno, can you two use your remaining mana to help Akame?" Nawin asks "Of course," the Toujou nod and takes a seat on the other side to begin the healing process. Akeno kneels beside her lover "What about her arm?" she asks, looking at the dismembered arm laid beside the Knight.
Nawin gently set Akame on Akeno's lap to grab the arm. He teleports it away to the pocket dimension. "I'll store it for now until we are back home. Asia will be able to restore Akame's arm back. For now, heal the hole in her stomach and stop the bleeding" "Understood," Akeno replies and immediately set to work on the Knight's open stomach while Koneko focuses on stopping the bleeding in the right shoulder.
Nawin looks at Akame anguish expression and hearing the painful groan from Riser. He clenches his hands tightly and stands up. Nawin heads to the front of the dome and stops beside Issei. Both looks across to see Marius nearly in the process of entirely attending all of his injuries.
"Nawin..." Issei speaks up, his tone clearly holds rage and hatred in them. "Yeah," Nawin takes a glance at his friend "I have an idea to end this... To end that bastard once and for all" "I'm all ears."
Issei brings his right hand up, and two small objects appear in existence. "Uh?!" Nawin's eyes widen, and he lets out a gasp that made others turn to see what it is. "T-that's?!" Rias utters out in shock "The Moonstone Ring?!" Akeno says, looking at the two shiny rings rest on the Hyoudou's palm.
"How?" Nawin asks, still surprised by seeing the Moonstone ring again. "Elise's Mother sent her the rings when it was fixed. Elise thought it would be good for me to have it in case we ever need it again." "W-What do those rings do, Buchou?" Gasper asks "If Nawin-kun and Issei wear those rings they will perform an amalgamation. They'll fuse into one single being that holds power to rival gods" Rias answer, shocking both Koneko and Gasper.
Marius perks up when hearing the Gremory's words. 'Amalgamation?' he shifts to the rings with narrow eyes. Marius begins to remember a phenomenon that swept the entire Supernatural world. The day where everyone sensed an incredible amount of mana exploding from an unknown direction. It was so strong that even the people in Vamhaven sensed it.
Marius heard from rumors that phenomenal was created by Nawin and his closest friend, Issei Hyoudou. After finally encountering the two Marius dismissed that rumor considering the level of mana those two friends held is nowhere at the same level as that phenomenon incident.
'The Amalgamation... That makes sense,' Marius stare at the rings with heating gaze 'I've read that the process would fuse two individuals into one all-powerful being that'll possess the users' abilities and power. So that's the true origin of that phenomenon... It was created by Nawin Makasha and Issei Hyoudou fusing into one being!'
Finally understanding that phenomenon's origin. Marius quickly realizes the danger arising. The threat that'll come to him if Nawin and Issei decide to fuse. Even though Marius knows he can survive anything. Dealing with even more powerful individual than Nawin Makasha will prove a hassle and something he rather avoids.
Suddenly, an idea appears in the Tepes's mind. A big twisted smirk breaks on his face.
Nawin stares hard at the rings. "We are no match for him, but Nasei will surely destroy the bastard," Issei says, urging the Makasha to go with his plan. "Hey, Nawin Makasha!" Marius calls out to gain the group's attention. Nawin shifts to look at the Tepes with cold eyes.
Marius grins 'I know you are watching this, Sayomi. Let me show you just how I'll sway him. Show you how Nawin Makasha is nothing but a coward and like anyone will take this offer.' "Tell me, Nawin" Marius starts, tilting his head to the side "Have you lost someone you hold dear? Has that lost made you to a reserved person you are today?"
The group glares at the Tepes with hatred at bringing up such topic to the Makasha. Nawin's face twitch, his eyes sharpen into a glare "You are stepping on a mighty thin ice right now, Marius. If you have something to bloody say then say it you bastard."
Marius just continues to grin sinisterly then spreads his arms to the side in a grand manner. "Let me remind you that Sephiroth Graal holds power to bring back the dead. As you saw, I possess that specific power by bringing back an Evil Dragon. So, Nawin Makasha" Marius brings his right arm forward "I'm offering you this. You and your friends leave Vamhaven, discard yourselves from the war, and I'll offer you something no one else can... To bring back those you lost. Bring back the loved ones that you oh so much cared for!" Marius laughs "Am I not a generous soul?! You and your friends can walk away from this freely, and you get your loved ones back from the dead!"
Everyone turns to Nawin and sees his body shaking slightly. His head hung down, so the black bangs cover his eyes. His hands clench to a fist so tightly that the knuckles turn white and blood starts dripping from the gaps.
'We're friends, Nawin. You keep pushing me away, and I'll just keep marching onward' 'W-why?' 'Because you look like you could use a friend.' An image of a young teenager appears in the Makasha's head. A boy with short, scruffy brown hair and clear, shining green eyes. He holds a bright and warm grin. A grin that always sets Nawin at ease and causes him to smile. This boy name is Tomo Banthao. Nawin's best friend when he lived in Bangkok.
Images of her resurface again. Painful memories flood in like a tsunami. Nawin sees her beautiful smile that only directed at him. Her beautiful, vibrant purple eyes. Her soft and flowing dark purple hair. 'I love you Nawin... Always will in life and beyond death' her melodic and soft voice whispers in warmth.
"N-No," Akeno whispers in horror when seeing the mark starts flashing into life. Issei takes a step back when feeling that familiar dark and menacing aura oozing out from the Makasha. Nawin's grit his teeth so tightly that the crunching sound is audible. Marius smirk when seeing the Makasha's mind is completely filled with rage, and the rings are forgotten.
The group didn't move a muscle and watch Nawin with wide-eyed. Feeling the raw rage exuding from him. The mark begins to slowly spread out like a snake. Sinking its poisoning fang into the Makasha's flesh.
Nawin takes a step forward and fazes through the dome. "N-Nawin!" Issei tries to follow but isn't able to get through the dome. "Marius Tepes," Nawin utters in seething tone, his lip twist into a snarl "You dare... You dare use them against me! YOU FUCKING DARE!" Purple aura comes to life and explodes thunderously around the Makasha. Violent tremors come to life on the earth. The ground cracks and shatters by the dense pressure. Birds from a distance scatter far away from the area.
Marius gasp when Nawin's head snaps up to reveal those frightening red eyes with slit pupils. Matching that of dragons. The mark begins spreading more until it covers half of the Makasha's body. Nawin's hair becomes wilder in appearance, and his nails grow in length and sharpen.
"W-what is this power?!" Marius shouts, feeling the overwhelming malevolent power releasing from the Makasha. It is utterly different from before. This is eviler and substantially stronger. "Where is this power coming from?!"
'Use it... Use it to beat anyone' Ophis's voice whispers in the Makasha's mind. Nawin's lip twist into a dark smirk and his eyes glints in malice. "Huh, you want me to use it, Ophis?" he utters and looks at Marius "I'll gladly use it to kill this son of a bitch!"
The mark continues to feed more of its sinister power to the Makasha. The purple aura increases in size. The sky begins to turn dark. Lightning strikes rain from out of nowhere. It's like an apocalypse has befallen on Vamhaven.
"Hehehe," Nawin chuckle darkly, staring at the shock Marius. "You," he points at the Tepes with his right index. The Makasha's expression shows nothing but menace "I could give a fuck if you are immortal. I'm going to keep killing you until you cry in misery! I WILL FUCKING TORTURE YOU TILL DEATH IS WHAT YOU BEG FOR!"
