153. An Unexpected Visitor, Ivory Advances

Sorry for the delay, everyone. There have been some last minute changes for the chapter. I realized I was pushing too many things into a single chapter which caused it to come out looking too messy.

Without further ado! Here's the latest chapter. Hope everyone enjoys it! ^.^

Slamming the empty glass cup onto the table, a soft groan escapes from the lip of Ivory Sayaka. A soothing, jazz song plays on the record in the dimly lit bar. Today's is it the day of purple. With the entire room shines in faint purple lights to create a synchronize atmosphere that fits that of the bar and the song being played.

A young blonde bartender stops in front of the beautiful woman and gives her a concerning look. "That's your seventh... I think that's enough for you, Miss" "Shut up and fill another one in," Ivory retorts and throws a couple of thousand yens on the table. The man sighs before reluctantly goes to create another drink for his customer.

The bar is currently empty, which is appropriate considering it is the morning. Unlike other bars in Kuoh, this is the few ones that stay open for 24hours straight. Though, unlike others, this is more of a private establishment that you would have to stumble upon to find it.

Releasing another sigh, Ivory brushes the bangs away from her face then looks up at the television on the wall. Right now, some news is playing on the screen.

"Here," the bartender returns with a new glass filled with their special house-made drink. The beautiful red liquid glisters in the glass. "You sure you are at an age to drink these?" the man asks, setting the cup down in front of the woman. "You are asking that now?" Ivory replies with a faint smirk, taking the glass and have a small sip. "Well, this bar doesn't have any age restriction..." "I see. Well, I am old enough" Ivory answers, placing the glass down.

"Still young..." the man state, setting his hands on the table "I've been through many shits in life, Bartender," Ivory retorts and looks at the man in the eyes "Drinking help ease those thoughts," "You are overexaggerating... You are drunk." "Overexaggerating? What if I told you that when I was ten... My own dear mum tried to kill me by taking my small neck into her large hands then slowly start squeezing it, all the while I was asleep. She squeezed and squeezed until I was woken from my slumber to see that hateful and crazed look in her blue eyes. Glaring down at me as she tried to suffocate me to death."

The Bartender is left speechless at the sudden story. His wide green eyes stare at the smirking woman. "So," Ivory takes the cup and have a large sip before slamming it back on the table, "I think I deserve to drink as much as I want." "I-is that the truth?" the man was unable to keep those words in "Huh," Ivory snort and shift her head elsewhere "I am not drunk enough to answer that, Mister Bartender. Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn't..."

"Whoa! There's an entire bar here?!" the door slams out and in work three huge and rugged men. "Welcome," the Bartender greets without missing a beat while Ivory ignores the newcomers entirely. The group stride toward the counter with arrogance like they owed the place. The Bartender's eyes flash in slight worry, seeing that if he doesn't handle these people properly, it will cause trouble to fall on him.

The middle man and tallest of the bunch slams his arms on the table before taking a seat. "Give us your best beer, buddy!" "... Right away," the Bartender answers then sends a worry glance at Ivory before departing into the other room to fetch the drinks.

Ivory is seated a few chairs away from the men and minding her own business. Holding the glass and sipping the drink while her eyes focus on the television. 'My last drink then,' she thinks, not feeling like extending her stay any longer amidst rowdy people being here.

"Huh, you see that hotty there?" one of the men speaks, leering at the Sayaka "Oh yeah... A blonde bombshell she is," "Ahahah, wonder what's she's doing here all alone." Ivory ignores the comments being thrown at her and continues to enjoy her drink. "Hey, sweetcheeks!" the man that's seated closes to the Sayaka decides to be the first to speak, wearing a lustful smirk "What is a pretty little thing like you doing here?" "Just dumped your boyfriend and getting over it?" another one insert, wearing the same disgusting smirk.

Continuing to stay silent, Ivory chucks down the rest of the drink then slams the glass down on the counter. "Enjoy your circle jerking session, fellas," Ivory state, pushing the chair back and heads for the door. "What?!" one of the men shouts in outrage and push the chair away to stand up "Say that again!" "Shut the hell up," Ivory retorts in annoyance at the loud noise before exiting the building, slamming the door shut on the way.

When exiting the bar, the sunny morning greets Ivory's blue eyes. She blinks a couple of time at the sudden adjustment of scenery. With sight adjusted, Ivory makes her way out of the alley and into the main street of Jenin, an area that's popular for having electronic and entertainment shops. Not the biggest which is at the center, but the second largest. For people who rather not travel all the way to the inner city to shop.

As she was about to join the crowd, a familiar voice enters the Sayaka's ears. "Awww, Nawin-kun look! Isn't he adorable?!" Shifting her sight to the far right, Ivory sees Nawin stood in front of a store that sells chibi plushes with Misako accompanying him. The Ichiru stood out from the crowd awfully heartily by donning a cute black Neko hoodie. Nawin openly chuckle and smile warmly at his friend "Don't you think you have enough Pikachu's in your life?" "Nyo!" Misako shakes her head, causing the cat ears on the hoodie to wave around. She looks at him with fire in her eyes "There's never enough Pikachu's in my life!" "Ahahaha," Nawin laughs at the adorable girl comment.

"…That girl..." Ivory utters, eyeing the Ichiru with interest "She's able to make the Black Flash be this open?" "Hey!" a rough voice explodes from behind. A large hand press on the Sayaka's shoulder then pulls her around to come face to face with one of the men that she insulted in the bar.

The man glares with anger while Ivory merely gives him an uncaring look. "Done jerking off with your friends?" she asks, raising an eyebrow "Bitch!" the man tightens his grip on the shoulder then brings the other hand to the face of the Sayaka. Blue aura comes to life and emits around Ivory. Not a moment later, the man's entire body scatter into nothingness. Erase from existence. His body, unable to withstand the presence of the Sayaka's mere aura.

Ivory turns around and exits the alleyway as the blue aura dissipates. She halts and looks toward the right to come eye to eye with Nawin. The two share a stare for a moment. The whole world around them freezes in time to leave only them. With a small smirk, Ivory turns around and disappears into the masses of people. Even though she can see the Makasha looks at her as nothing but a nuisance that holds no real threat, she has caught his attention. 'That normal life of yours will be over soon, Black Flash.'

"Nawin-kun," Misako pull on her King's sleeve to gain his attention. Nawin blinks and shifts his eyes to the Ichiru "Yeah?" "C-can we go there?" she asks and points upwards. Following the direction, Nawin sees a large billboard sign that advertises a new waterpark opening nearby. "You want to go for a swim?" he asks, turning back to look at the slightly flustered girl "I-If it is ok with you, of course!" Misako quickly replies with a nervous laugh.

Nawin tilts his head and smiles "Alright," he says, taking the right hand of the Ichiru "Let's go for a swim." A big grin breaks out of Misako's face before she nods "Ok!"

Elsewhere

"Are you still feeling depressed over losing in that game?" Akeno asks, watching the pouting Rias seated beside her in amusement. Currently, the two girls are in Makasha's household. Only the two of them are present, with Yao and Jonathan heading out for some shopping while Asia decided to spend some time with Lucy and Sona's group.

"Oh, quiet you!" Rias retort with a soft glare before shifting her sight to the television that's currently playing some comedy flick. "Speaking of that though," Rias blinks and shift back to her long-time friend "Where's Nawin-kun?" "Oh, Nawin-kun decided to spend the morning with Misako considering the two haven't had much time together," "You are awfully fine with that judging by your mood" Rias points out "Ufufufu, Misako has done nothing but train lately. How can I be mad at her wanting to spend some normal time with Nawin-kun? She's a good person."

Rias can't help but be a bit confused by her friend's answer. 'She is fine with Misako spending some quality time with Nawin-kun... But, when it comes to Miraya, it is another story.' Rias wasn't blind. She'd seen some of the looks her friend had thrown toward the Culdos during the birthday celebration from yesterday. The looks of almost defensive and at rare occasions anger. Those looks have the Gremory worried, and in the back of her mind, she hopes Akeno won't do anything reckless someday.

But Rias can't be annoyed or anger by this attitude from her friend. With knowing the past of Akeno, it is understandable why she holds this protectiveness and care towards Nawin. All Rias can do is to be there for her friend and act as the voice of reason. 'Hopefully, given time... Akeno can become good friends with Miraya. She doesn't seem to dislike her outright. It's more of confusion.'

A knock on the door interrupts the two girl's session. "Hmm," Akeno blinks, not expecting any visitor today. "I'll get it," Rias stands up and heads to the hallway. Grabbing the doorknob, Rias twist and pulls it back to reveal Miraya standing there, wearing a warm smile. "Miraya?" the Gremory utters, surprise "Ehehe, hello, Rias-san" Miraya greets "What brings you here?" "I got nothing on my plate today, so I thought to spend some time with Nawin and the family."

"They are all out at the moment," another voice answer before the Gremory. Rias turn around to see Akeno stood at the hallway, looking at the Culdos with a sharp expression. "Oh, is that so," Miraya tilts her head, staring back at the Himejima with her ever soft and warm eyes. Rias shuts the door and now stand between the two and can't help but get a bit nervous. 'Oh satans... I wish Nawin-kun were here.'

"Well," Rias claps her hands together and gives a big grin "Since it is the three of us! Why don't we go have a little of a girl's hangout, hmm?" Akeno blinks at the sudden suggestion. Miraya merely smiles and gives the nod "I don't mind at all. If you two are fine with me joining the ride" "Of course not!" Rias takes the Culdos's hands "You have to come along! Akeno and I would love to learn more about you, Miraya-san."

"Right?" Rias turn to the Himejima, who gives a faint smile and nod "Yes, please do join us..." Miraya's smile widen "Alright then! Let's go have some fun." "Ehehe! That's the spirit!" Rias agrees with the energetic comment.

Before the three can make their next move, another knock comes from the door. "Excuse me... Is this the Makasha's Resident?" a soft and calm voice comes from the other end. Akeno's and Rias's eyes widen at the familiar voice. 'C-could it be?' Rias stare hard at the door before grasping the knob and twist it. The door opens to reveal none other than Valerie Tepes.

"V-Valerie," Rias utters, staring at the Princess of the Tepes in stunned. Akeno too held the same expression. Valerie merely smiles, then shift her sight to Miraya. "Hmm?" she tilts her head by the stranger's presence. "Who might you be?" Valerie asks, kindly. Miraya blinks at the sudden question but decides to answer politely "My name is Miraya Culdos," "Ah, it is nice to meet you Miraya. I have never seen you before. My name is Valerie Tepes."

Valerie gives a bright smile "Are you perhaps a devil?" Both Akeno and Rias's expression shift to one of horrified by the question while Miraya blinks in utter surprise. "P-pardon?" she stutters, wondering if she just received an insult out of nowhere. "Valerie!" Rias quickly acts and sends a disapproving glare "How can you insult Miraya like that?! She's a nice and lovely HUMAN!" Valerie's eyes snap wide, understanding what the Gremory is implying.

"Oh my gosh!" Valerie quickly bows to the Culdos "I am so sorry! I didn't know why I said that!" The three girls watch the Princess continuously bows. "It's ok!" Miraya quickly replies to stop the girl from doing anymore bowing "You can stop that now before you hurt yourself." "I am still very sorry!" Valerie leans up, showing her flustered face. "I-It's really ok," Miraya brings both arms up and smiles "Sometimes us girls spout off random stuff."

"W-what brings you here though, Valerie?" Rias ask, wanting to quickly move on to the next topic and forget about that exchange. "Ah," Valerie smile, glad to move on "Well, I came here to visit Gasper and Nawin. I did promise both of them that when I got better, I would." Valerie gives a bright smile "I am missing those two."

"Nawin-kun is currently out right now, so do you want to tag along with us for the meantime, Valerie-san?" Akeno suggests, rather have more company in this little hangout of theirs. "I-I wouldn't mind," Valerie blinks "But, I am only gonna be here for today. So I would like to see the two of them earliest" "Why are you in a rush?" Rias asks "There's still some business left at home... My mother would be in need of my help in some task, so I rather not leave it all to her" Valerie state. Rias and Akeno can guess what that comment really implies.

"How about we all head out for some lovely snack then head to see Nawin?" Miraya suggest and turns to Akeno "You will know where he is, no?" "I don't really..." Akeno admits "Oh, I see. Then after we have our snack, I shall ring him up then we can go meet up with him" "That sounds lovely!" Valerie exclaims, all for the Culdos plan. Rias smile "I am not against that. You ok with that, Akeno?" "Yes... I am fine with that as well."

"Then let us head to the center of Kuoh!" Rias says, reopening the door "There's plenty of amazing sweet shops there for us girls to enjoy!" "No time to waste then!" Valerie skips out of the house, eager to explore what the human world has to offer and get to know more of Nawin's and Gasper's friends.

Miraya is next to exit the house with a warm smile returning to her face, showing quite an excitement on this little outing. "Huh," Rias sigh in relief "That was too close..." "I know," Akeno insert, giggling "Thank goodness, Miraya-san is a forgiving individual" "Yeah."

Rias's sight shift to her friend. "Akeno, can you do me a favor and please be more open to MIraya" she requests, stunning the Himejima. "Don't think I don't know that one of the reasons you want to bring Valerie along is so that you will create more chance of not interacting with Miraya" "... You saw through that, huh?" Akeno comment with a strained smile "I've knowns you since we were children," Rias state with a smirk "I can read you like a book at times."

With a more soften and comforting expression, Rias stop in front of her long-time friend. She grabs Akeno's shoulders and gives it a soft squeeze while looking at her in the eyes. "I can't say I fully understand your difficulties toward Miraya. But, you must know that she means the world to Nawin-kun. You harboring this attitude toward her will only brew trouble. She has shown signs of wanting to get to know you better, but you are pushing her away with all these little actions you would take. So, as your best friend, I want to tell you that you need to start to warm up to Miraya... For your sake, because if this escalates anymore, then it could hurt your relationship with Nawin-kun. Do you understand?"

Akeno stares Rias with confliction shown in those violet orbs. Then, a sigh escapes the Himejima's mouth before she gives a single nod. "I understand, Rias. I'll try to get to know her. It's just... All of this is a bit confusing to me" "With you in the position you are in, I can imagine. But, the important thing is you are trying. Now, let's go have some fun!"

Elsewhere

"Brotha, Brotha!" Five-Year-Old Lucy shouted with a big grin plastered on her adorable face. She floats toward Nawin, who just entered the swimming pool. Lucy is on an inflatable tube as she hasn't learned how to swim properly yet. Her little arms rowed quickly to push the tube to her brother.

Nawin chuckled and swam toward the cute blonde and stopped in front of her. "Sorry to have kept you waiting, Lucy," he said "Ehehe, it's Okie! I was floating around the pool!" Lucy exclaimed with pride as she was currently the only one with an inflatable tube here. It's still early, leaving the pool quite empty. "Ahaha, I can see. You are the Queen of the Pool?" "Ehehe! Yep! I am the Queen! You shall be my Knight, Brotha!" "Ahahaha," Nawin laughed before wearing a grin "Well, I am a lucky Knight than to serve under an Adorable Queen such as yourself, Dear Sister."

Nawin goes forward and playfully pinches Lucy's chubby and blushing cheek. "Mouuu! Don't make me blush!" Lucy whined, flailing her arms around as a pout escaped her lip. Even though with that said, she didn't request or force Nawin to remove his hand from her cheek.

"Bahh!" another figure explodes from behind and snatch Lucy's shoulder. "Kyaaaaa!" In fright, Lucy hops out of the tube which forced Nawin to catch her on his shoulders. "Whao there!" Lucy quickly wrapped her legs around Nawin's neck and grabbed his head with her arms in instinct while facing at whoever pulled the stunt.

"Ehehehehe," a familiar voice giggled as the water dropped to reveal a grinning Miraya. Her glistering violet eyes showed mischief. "Miraya," Nawin said with a smile. "Monster!" Lucy yelled and points at the older girl "Big Brotha! As my Knight, you must slay that Monster!" "Ahahahaha!" Miraya burst out laughing at the adorable girl's comment. Nawin joined in the laughter while Lucy's face started to become red in embarrassment. "Why are you two laughing?!"

"Because of how adorable you are!" Miraya smirk and advances which caused Lucy to revert to a glare "Stay back!" "Oh? Scared of little ole me?" Miraya questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Big Brotha! Fireball Jutsu!" "... I'm not a Ninja from Naruto, Lucy" Nawin said, sweatdropping. Miraya jumped forward and snatched the young Makasha out of Nawin's shoulder.

"Ahhh! She's got me!" "Now we are going to have some fun!" Miraya said with a dark smirk "Big Brotha! Help meeeh!" "You two have fun while I go fetch us some ice cream!" "TRAITOR!"

"Nawin-kun?" A soft and caring voice snaps the Makasha out of his daydream. He turns to the right and sees Misako standing there in her swimsuit. It is a simple one-piece type that was given to Misako since she didn't bring any swimwear. Though, with her buxom figure and adorable but beautiful appearance. Nawin can see many eyes fixed on Misako, even though she's wearing such a plain gear.

"S-Sorry to keep you waiting." Misako gives a sheepish smile "I am not used to wearing this type of swimsuit." Offering a soft smile, Nawin shakes his head "It's fine, Misako. I was just daydreaming… I didn't even realize how much time has passed." "Daydreaming?" Misako tilts her head, "Yeah..." The Makasha shifts his gaze back at the large pool in front of them. Kids are playing on the slides. Adults are swimming around in a friendly competition. Family playing a variety of games in the waters together.

"When I was still young. Once a month my family would go to these community pools to have fun. Lucy always enjoys those trips when she was a child. Playing with the inflatable toys and floats around. Miraya would be with us too for most of the time." "Sounds like a fun time," Misako says with a warm smile "Yeah, it's one of the fond memories I hold."

"It's nice to hear you talk openly about your past, Nawin-kun" Misako state "Is it?" "Ehehe, yep! Because every time you speak about it... You usually look so happy!" Nawin is slightly taken aback by that comment, staring at the grinning girl. "... I see," he replies, wearing a warm smile.

Misako blinks when seeing her King is absolutely unguarded. His stance completely relaxes and shows no tenseness. A small grin form on her lip as an idea pop into her mind. As Nawin shifts his gaze back to the glistering pool, Misako slowly and stealthily sneaks behind him. "Hiya!" she brings both her arms forward to push, but Nawin instantly sides step and uses his right hand to gently thrust the Ichiru into the pool. "Eeep!" Misako yelps before plummeting straight into the water, causing a splash that gets some water onto the Makasha.

Misako shoots her head up and glares upwards at the smirking Nawin. "My dear, Bishop" Nawin kneels on the edge of the pool and brings his right hand toward to gently tap the Ichiru's forehead. Earning an adorable yelp. "You are going to have to get much stronger to successfully pull a sneak attack on me" "... Front attack!" Misako yells and snatches the Makasha's wrist to pool him straight into the water with her "Urgk!"

Misako burst out giggling as Nawin slowly arise from the water. His stern sight set on the girl. But, seeing that beaming smile on Misako's face. Nawin is unable to keep the act and chuckles along. Then, out of nowhere a splash of water contacts the Makasha face. He blinks to rid of the water then glares at the giggling girl. Misako cutely sticks her tongue out before bolting away. Nawin smirk and immediately swims forward to catch the Ichiru.

"Ahahaha!" Misako is laughing out loud as she speeds up. Using both her arms and legs to the fullest to stir clear from the Makasha. Before she could have never done this. Her heart couldn't take much stress, but now, she is strong enough to enjoy such activity. Glancing back, Misako sees Nawin gaining distance. She suddenly stops and swiftly turns around to bring both her arms forward to fire another large splash of water that connects to Nawin's entire front, momentarily stunning him.

Misako giggles then quickly turning around to resume swimming. "Oh, you now have done it!" Nawin shouts from behind, but his tone is light-hearted and full of fun. Misako grins and glances back "Huh?" she blinks when seeing her friend is nowhere in sight. Stopping, the Ichiru looks around "Nawin-kun?" she calls out "Where are you?"

From behind a figure burst out of the water and snatch Misako's bare sides. "Ahahahahahaha!" she burst out laughing when the fingers start moving to tickle her essentially. "S-stop! Ahahaha. P-please!" "Should I?" Misako glances back to see Nawin grinning at her. "Ahahah! Y-yes! I-I! Ahahahah, s-s-surrender!" "Good," Nawin chuckles and release his grip to set the Ichiru free. Misako takes a deep breath and exhales. "Oooh... I felt like I was dying" "Your face was turning blue," Nawin points out with an amusing smile.

Misako turns around and gives a playful glare. "That's not fair!" "Oh?" Nawin raises an eyebrow "Which part? The tickling or the disappearing?" "Both!" Misako waves her arms up and gives an adorable pout. Nawin simply gives a warm smile and brings his right hand up to gives a soft tap on the Ichiru's forehead with his index finger. "You gotta always outsmart your opponent, Misako" "Ah, was this a lesson?" she asks "Not really, but it is to be said though."

"Well," Misako pouts "I still haven't unlocked my sacred gear yet," "Don't feel so down because of that, Misako. These things take time" Nawin state and start swimming to the edge. "I know, but, still" the Bishop follows her King. "Getting frustrated over it won't bring it out. Continue training, and I am sure you will awaken it. I have a feeling it will be very soon" "Really?" "Mhm-hmm."

As Nawin rest his back on the edge of the pool, he releases a soft sigh "The water's nice." "Not too hot, not too cold" Miraya agrees, resting beside her friend. "… Nawin-kun" "Hmm?" "Thanks for agreeing to hang out with me today" "Of course." Nawin glance to the side and offers a smile "I've noticed I have been neglecting you lately. With Miraya sudden return... I've been solely focused on her. Then there was my birthday... So much has happened lately that I simply left you with Akame to just train. So, I was glad when you came by since I also wanted to spend some time with you in a more civil manner" "Ehehe, you are so considerate, Nawin-kun!" Misako comment, blushing ever faintly.

"Well..." Nawin gives a fainter smile that shows some guilt "I felt bad that after I welcomed you to my Peerage as my bishop. I immediately left to Transmere to deal with the civil war between the Tepes and Carmilla. I should have been there with you to help you get equipped to this whole thing but i-" "Please," Misako interrupts then takes the Makasha's hand, which cause a blush to form on her face. But, she continues on with a bright smile "Don't feel bad about that. I completely understood why you had to up and left. Nawin-kun, you helped stopped a civil war and defeated an immortal tyrant! When I heard what you did there from Akame... I was just so happy to know you helped the people there and restored peace. Also, importantly... You returned home safe."

Nawin silently stares at the Ichiru in silence, his eyes wide. "I feel like I never said this enough... But," Misako gives a beautiful smile, her brilliant sapphire-blue eyes gleam "I am so glad that I met you Nawin-kun. You really changed my life." "... Misako," Nawin firmly holds the girl's soft hand as a soft smile form on his lip "I am glad I met you too."

"Awww, look at those two" Farah giggles, looking through the binoculars to witness the scene between the two friends. Silver leaned on the railing with her back facing toward the direction of the pool. Currently, the twins stood at the roof of a building that's two blocks away from the community pool.

Placing the binocular down, Farah smirk. "I did not know they were this close." "Ivory is correct," Silver states in a soft and quiet voice, her eyes remain closed. "If we are going with this plan," Farah scratch her head as her eyes gleam in uncertain, "Nawin Makasha is going to be enraged. One of them is most likely going to die" "If they die then so be it" Silver simply insert "Cold as always, dear sister. But, I am more worried about just the length Ivory is planning to push the Black Flash. There's a chance she's going to awake something that will get her and the both of us killed."

Silver merely opens her eyes and stare up at the clear sky. "It's a waste to guess, Farah. Let's see how it all turns out when it is time" "So you are agreeing with her plan?" "I have. You are not?" "I am, but it's just I am worried for our safety is all" "As usual. Ivory has made up her mind, and there's no changing it" "Yeah... I know."

Center of Kuoh

"Ah! You must be her!" Valerie exclaims with a brilliant smile then immediately takes Miraya's hands from across the table. "Hmm?" Miraya blinks by the swift and out of nowhere action while Rias and Akeno simply look on in curious. "Ah, forgive me," Valerie slowly releases her grip then plops back to her seat. "It's just that I never would imagine having the pleasure to meet you... Nawin's special person."

"Nawin-kun's special person?" Akeno slowly repeats. Valerie nod and retain the bright smile, looking at the Culdos. "I was fortunate to get to spend some time with Nawin which led me to know more about him. One of our conversations was about you. A warm smile appears on the Culdos's face. "He truly said that?" "Yes! Ehehe, he actually thought us two are a bit alike in some department," Valerie state with a grin. "Ahahahaha, is that so?" "Yeah!" Rias smile when seeing how quick the two girls are bonding. It seems to be a reoccurrence with Miraya. Everyone is captivated by her charm, and the ever display of kindness and consideration she would show.

Composing herself, Valerie gives a sincere smile "I am very glad of the miracle that occurred upon you on that day to have kept you alive, Miraya. I believe it meant the world to Nawin to have you back in his life" "Thank you for the kind words, Valerie" Miraya replies "I am nothing but happy to be reunited with him after such a long time of separation."

"I am still amazed at how many friends Nawin has made," Miraya admits "It truly is a sight I welcome." "Was he really that shy?" Rias question "Ehehe, the boy was just very attached to me. When some kids would invite him to play, he would reply with 'I already got Mariya' then dashes off" "Aww," Rias giggles "That's kind of adorable" "Ehehe, it truly was, especially when he would utter those words with his little grin."

"Here are your orders!" the Waitress announces with a beaming grin, stopping by the table with a tray that carries two large-size parfaits. She carefully set the chocolate favor in front of Rias and Miraya then sets the strawberry flavor before Akeno and Valerie. "Please enjoy!" "Thank you!" The four girls happily reply in unison.

"This looks delicious!" Rias says with sparkling eyes. She snatches the spoon and immediately digs into the colorful dessert. "So... How did you find this place, Miraya?" Akeno asks, deciding to strike a conversation with the Culdos for once. Rias chews on the delicious treat, and her smile grows when seeing the Himejima's action. "I got a chance to talk with Misako, and she told me about this amazing place that sells parfait" "Ah," Akeno can't help but chuckle "That makes sense. That girl loves her sweet" "Ehehehe, very true. I've only known her for a short amount of time but can already conclude she loves desserts."

"So, Miraya," Rias swallows the cream before facing the girl "What is your next plan now that you finally found Nawin-kun?" "Hmm," Miraya mindlessly twirls the long spoon around before giving a sheepish smile "I honestly don't know. For all these years finding Nawin was my life goal. I had never taken a moment of thinking what's next after that." "You were very committed," Valerie praise with a grin "I applaud you for that" "Thank you, but" Miraya's smile becomes faint "Truthfully, I had lost hope a couple of times during my journey. To the point... I had to get out of Japan for my health. Because finding Nawin morphed slowly to an obsession, which was damaging my mental well-being... I would find myself crying in bed for many nights. I starved myself in some weeks due to depression. I lost the will to smile and feel joy."

Everyone at the table stopped moving and simply stare at the Culdos with nothing but shock in their widened eyes. The smile on Miraya's face shift to one of great sadness. "We... We both were greatly suffering while being apart. I guess that's just how much we care for one another" Miraya state with a weak chuckle.

"... I" Everyone turns when hearing Akeno's voice "I am so sorry you had to go through that, Miraya. I can't truthfully say that I know exactly how you felt during those troubled times... But, I can relate to it in some ways. Imagining not seeing Nawin-kun for years and not knowing where to find him. That scenario alone in my mind makes my heartache... Not being there with him, not being able to feel his warmth, unable to talk to him, unable to see his smile... It hurts," Akeno holds her chest "More than any physical wound."

"Akeno..." Rias whispers in shock of her friend's words. Miraya stares at the Himejima in silence before her smile grows ever slightly. "I guess you would understand it to an extent, Akeno-san. You care deeply for Nawin too. To the point, you would do anything for him?" "Anything," Akeno replies without hesitation "... I see."

Miraya closes her eyes for a moment before reopening them. Her expression composes once again. "Please, do me a favor," she speaks, looking at the girls "Don't ever tell this to Nawin. It would kill him if he knew the pain I went through to find him. Guilt is something that has left him, and I don't want it to creep its ugly head back." "W-Why would you tell this to us?" Valerie asks "We are still strangers to you. Especially myself."

A soft smile form on the Culdos's face. "Because you all are Nawin's friend. That alone gives me the confidence to have trust in all of you. Nawin isn't the kind of person who befriends anybody. If he trusts you, then I trust you." "It shall be kept a secret, Miraya" Rias promise with a warm smile "Thank you for telling us this. It must have been something you have kept to yourself?" "It was. Sometimes it's best you don't keep things of your past bottled up. Because you never know what kind of consequences it could ensue... Worse, it can cloud your judgment" "Wise words," Valerie praise.

As Rias and Valerie return to their dessert with a pleasant smile on their faces. Miraya glance at Akeno, who has gone silent and merely stare at the table with uncertainty in those violet eyes. 'Akeno Himejima... Will you do the right thing?'

Elsewhere

In an empty, abandoned grass field outside of Kuoh, on top of a clean hill shows Ivory. Sweat covers her entire body and drenches her gray-shirt to the point it is sticking to her body. She is currently performing a one arm pushup. Blasting passes a hundred already and reaching close to two hundred. Even with the heavy pants exhaling from her mouth, her eyes remain strong as steel as it stares at the wet ground beneath her.

With three more reps done, Ivory push her right arm down all the way then slams it back up to send herself up to her feet in one elegant motion. But, she did not rest. Instead, clenching the left hand into a fist. Ivory lets out a shout and thrust a punch forward with such fierce force behind it that the area in front of her implodes in destruction.

Dust lift from the destroyed earth, before it gets pushed away by the howling wind emerging from out of nowhere. Ivory rests her arm down and closes her eyes to take in the cold air blowing through her burning body. When the wind passes by, Ivory brings her right arm up and stare at the hand. A memory from the past tries to escape, but Ivory push it back as she clenches the hand into a fist.

"You are taking your time," a familiar calm voice comment from behind. Ivory unclenches her hand before turning around to meet face to face with Noel. "Is there a time limit?" she asks, then catches a water bottle thrown by Noel "Thanks." "Well, no. But, I will have to give a report when Mistress Sayomi returns from her mission." Pulling the water bottle from her lip, Ivory sends a look to the blonde "She isn't back?" "If she was, then I imagine she'd be visiting you personally. Which is something I don't think would do well for your mental state for the upcoming battle" Noel admits.

"She sounds like a monster," Ivory state and throws the now empty bottle to the ground "A very short-sighted answer, Ivory. But, I can't critic you for saying that since you have never met her... In honest," Noel shift his soft gaze to the right, staring at the endless sea of vibrant grass that grew down the hill "I had a familiar in mind when I first met her."

"That so?" Ivory comment, silently telling him to continue on as she is curious of this mysterious person that she will soon serve under. "Don't expect me to tell you some revolutionary," Noel inserts with a jesting smile "I don't know her that well. She's an enigmatic individual, and some of the choices she makes add into that mystery. In my eyes, she's no bloodthirsty tyrant like what I once believed," "But she's neither a saint," Ivory insert "Of course," Noel nod, chuckling "Far from it."

"... What's her end goal?" Ivory question. "Ahaha," Noel merely chuckles before turning around and walks off. "Complete your task first before asking such a question. You aren't one of us yet" "Fine, then at least give an honest opinion on this question... Is Sayomi Dracul's goal one of good or one of evil?"

Noel comes to a stop, but he doesn't turn around. "Good or Evil..." he speaks and looks up to the sky. "In truth... Her goal can be seen as either good or evil. It is entirely up to an individual's perspective. And that's what makes her so different from everyone else. She believes that she isn't evil. And I believe that fact whole-heartedly" "... Why?" Ivory finds herself asking without a thought.

"... Tell me, why do you want to join us?" Noel ignores the Sayaka's question and replies with one of his own that's been suppressed behind his mind ever since he first met the blonde beauty. Ivory raises an eyebrow by her question being overlooked. It seems that's all she is getting out of him. Ivory's expression sharpens. "You shouldn't be asking that," "Indeed. This question is coming from myself. You have the opportunity to live a normal life and perhaps find happiness toward the future in the human world. Why are you willing to throw that all away to come to join us?" Noel asks though kept his back facing the Sayaka. "Because there's nothing this world has left to offer me in my point of view," Ivory replies, resting her right hand on the hip "Hard to believe that," "Some people aren't meant for the normal life, Noel. I'm one of them... That chance... That thought of a normal life was thrown out of the realm of possibility when I rammed my fist through my father's heart. I don't deserve a normal life and I ain't looking for one."

Instead of giving a response, Noel simply resumes walking before his entire body disperse in a swarm of white feathers that soon disappear from existence. Ivory stare at the spot where the man just vanished for a moment before swiftly turning around. Her destination, back to Kuoh.

Makasha Household

"So, Nawin will be returning here shortly?" Valerie asks, resting on one of the couch while looking at Miraya, who is seated at the right. "Yes, he and Misako just left the pool." After the girls finished their delicious parfait, which is of course paid by Rias. She insisted on paying even though the others wouldn't mind doing the favor. Miraya gave her friend a rang and Nawin told them to head back home as he is planning to return there after done swimming.

"So we want all the way out there for just dessert," Rias state, pouting "Well, you can't blame him" Miraya speaks up, smiling. "After enjoying some swimming, I'm sure both Nawin and Misako would prefer to relax here instead of wandering around the bustling city in the heat" "That is true..."

"By the way, Miraya" Rias speaks up, looking at the girl "Yes?" "How are you feeling now? Mental wise?" "Ah," Miraya nods then offers a reassure smile "You have no need to worry about that, Rias. I'm doing much better now compared to a year back. Leaving Japan did a great help for me and now that I've found Nawin. Everything is peaceful." "That's a relief to hear," Valerie remark with a bright grin.

As Akeno quietly watch Miraya chats with Rias and Valerie. Her mind holds nothing but confliction and confusion. In her honest opinion, Akeno believes Miraya is a good person with a pure heart. But, that is what makes her slightly afraid. She wasn't blind or stupid to see that someone like Miraya can be a better fit for Nawin than even herself. The two hold history and with what she has known of it so far. There's nothing but good in their past that are shared together.

Irina, Misako, and Akame. Those three has never given Akeno this unnerving feeling that one of them could snatch Nawin away from her. But, Miraya is a different story. Lots of times when Akeno sees her lover interact with the Culdos. It sets her heart unease. Every time when Nawin talks with Miraya, his eyes would light up, and that smile on his face will almost always be shown. Try as she might to ignore it. It is proven to be impossible because of her love for the Makasha.

'She was his significant other, his soulmate, his... Light.' Lucy's comment at that night appears again in the Himejima's mind. "Akeno!" "Huh?!" Akeno blinks and looks up to see the three girls staring at her. "You ok?" Rias asks, wearing a concerning look "You weren't responding to us." "Ah," Akeno gives a sheepish expressions "Sorry about that. My mind was elsewhere" "Clearly," Valerie state with an amusing smile.

"I actually wanted to ask you a question, Akeno" Miraya speaks up "Oh... Ask away, Miraya-san" "When you first saw Nawin. What was your opinion on him?" Akeno is taken aback by the answer and can't help but be a bit defensive "Why do you ask?" "Simply out of curiosity. I want to know if our opinion is the same when we first met him" Miraya reveals.

Akeno looks down to her knees and thinks back at that moment. When she stood at the third floor of the Academy building, staring out of the window to see Nawin and Lucy entering the courtyard for the first time. How her eyes immediately are set at the older Makasha and were entranced by his very appearance. But, it wasn't Nawin's look that got Akeno's attention. No. It was his eyes and how they were once very similar to hers before she was taken in by Rias. The moment Akeno saw Nawin, she feels a connection to him that she has never felt with anyone else. It was like fate that day. She has met the love of her life.

"The... The first thought when I laid my eyes on him on that day was... Loneliness. Even though he tried to hide it behind his stoic persona. I was able to see through it that day. When I saw that look... All I wanted to do was to get to know him and hope to help him through his troubles." Rias and Valerie smile at the Himejima's words while Miraya merely stares with a passive expression. "I see," Miraya speaks "Our first encounter with him are similar then," "Really?" Rias asks "Yes, I-" Miraya stops when the front door slams open, and a blonde blur enters the living room.

"Valerieee!" Gasper jumps and glomps his childhood friend while screaming in happiness. "Gasper!" Valerie exclaims and embraces her friend, giggling brightly. "He just bolted off," Koneko enters the room with Asia, "When he..." she stops herself when seeing Miraya is present. "When he?" Miraya asks, looking at the Rook with a raised eyebrow "When he caught my scent," Valerie comes in for the save with a pleasant smile, ruffling the boy's platinum colored hair as he is seated on her lap "Gasper has a knack at seeing my scent at a great distance. Probably because we've been together ever since we were children." "Ah," Miraya smile at this new information "I see. That explains why you two look to be so close to each other" "Ehehe, indeed."

Gasper looks up and gives a pouty expression. "Why didn't you tell me you were visiting?" "Sorry about that. I wanted it to be a surprise. But, looks like you found me instead" Valerie giggles and continues to stroke Gasper's hair with affection. Miraya stares at the scene and can't help but let out a warm smile.

Miraya suddenly blinks then casually hops to the right end of the couch to successfully avoid Lucy popping from behind and landing on where she just seated. "How?!" Lucy exclaims in shock and shift sight to the giggling Culdos. "Didn't I once told you that you will never catch me off-guard?" Miraya state with a coy smile "B-but, I was stealthy!" Lucy replies.

At the background, everyone stares at the amusing scene in silent. "Do you want to know how I always knew when you were behind?" Miraya offers. Lucy immediately straightens and nods "Yes, tell me!" "... You tend to breathe heavily... To the point it becomes comical" "... Huh?" Lucy's expression change to speechless, her mouth slightly agape. Some giggles at the blonde's expression.

"She is correct," a new voice joins the room, and everyone turns to see Nawin and Misako standing at the doorway. "Nawin!" Valerie is the first to speak, her eyes lit up at the sight of the Makasha. "Valerie," Nawin replies, his smile grows. Gasper hops off his friend's lap and watches her stand up then make way to the Makasha.

Valerie stops in front of Nawin and without a moment notice, pulls him into an embrace. Shock at first by the sudden gesture, Nawin eases and returns the hug with a warm smile. "It's good to see you again," he whispers "I did promise to visit you, didn't I?" "You certainly did. I'm glad to see you are healthy again." Valerie pulls back and keeps a firm hold on the boy's arm. She looks at his eyes and smiles with fondness "Thanks to everyone and you, Nawin."

Miraya looks on with a slightly surprised expression on her face. She did not expect Valerie to be this close with Nawin. Her impression was that the two only recently known each other. 'It seems they must have bonded quickly,' Miraya smile warmly at the scene.

"Ah," Valerie blushes a bit, realizing how quick she was to act. Feeling all eyes are on her and Nawin. She takes a step back and gives a more mannered smile. "Who is your friend here, Nawin?" Valerie asks, shifting to the Ichiru stood on the right. Nawin chuckles and rests his hand on Misako's shoulder. "This is Misako Ichiru. A dear friend of mine," "Hello!" Misako cheerfully greets, bringing her right hand forward "You must be Valerie Tepes? Nawin-kun has told me a bit about you" "Is that so?" Valerie smile and takes the hand, shaking it. "What has he told you regarding me?" "That you kind, adorable, and strong" "Really?" Valerie looks at Nawin, who gains a slightly flustered expression.

"You really got to stop charming all the ladies, Nawin-kun" Rias points out, shaking her head "Are you trying to steal Issei's dream of being a Harem King?" "The hell?!" Nawin exclaims and glares at the Gremory "As I would ever consider such thing!" "True... Also, I doubt that's possible if Akeno has anything to say about it" "You speak the truth," Akeno insert, looking far from amused at the thought of a harem for her lover.

Miraya chuckle "At least you know it would be a simple task for you, Nawin" "Don't join in on this, Miraya! Not you!" "Ehehehe, alright, alright." "Honestly," Nawin sighs "Having a single girlfriend is already a handful," he informs "Hey!" Akeno pouts "Am I really?" "At rare occasions, love" "Relationships!" Rias inserts with a giggle "Even Issei can be a handful at times." "Well," Nawin gives a warm smile to Akeno "If you love them dearly then you can push through that stuff." The Himejima's heart blossom at those words and she gives a broad smile in return.

"Speaking of love," Miraya shift to the blonde Makasha "What about you, Lucy? Got anyone special?" "What?!" the blonde exclaims with a blushing face while everyone stares at her in amusement. "Oh?" Miraya raises an eyebrow as a playful smirk form on her lip "Didn't you once said you wish to date a bad boy?" "Shut up!" Lucy shouts and jumps forward to tackle the Culdos onto the couch. "Ahahaha!" Miraya laughs out loud while Lucy tries to cover her mouth "Do you still hold that th-" Lucy is able to cover the Culdos's mouth in time. "No more words from you!" she shouts with a tomato-colored face while Miraya simply looks up at her with immense amusement sparkling in those purple eyes.

Everyone in the room giggle at the heart-warming scene between the two friends. Nawin stares at his sister and Miraya with a warm smile plastered on his face. Overjoyed to see that even though many years have passed during their separation. Lucy and Miraya still hold their fond antics toward one another. Akeno notices that look on her lover's face and her smile go strain ever slightly.

"Oh!" Rias suddenly shoots up from the couch, startling some that are near her. "We forgot to do something yesterday!" she exclaims then shifts to the Black Flash. "Nawin-kun, you forgot to hit the Pinata!" "What?" Nawin blinks "There's a Pinata?" Miraya takes Lucy's hand away from her mouth to speak "Rias is correct. You have a Pinata to hit, Nawin. It's set at the backyard" "Yeah! Let's go hit it, Onii-chan!" Asia bounces in excitement and takes her brother's hand to drag him out of the living.

"Whoa!" Nawin quickly pulls Asia back then pulls up to carry her on his arms. "Too hasty there, Asia. You almost went face-first into the wall" "Oh," Asia blushes "S-sorry," Nawin smile and gives a kiss on her forehead "It's ok. Now let's head out there" "Yeah!"

Miraya stands up then watch the two sibling exit to the hallway, "That girl has Nawin wrapped around her fingers," she states with a warm smile. "It's hard not to adore, Asia" Lucy comment while crossing her arms. "Oh?" Miraya smirk then swiftly snatch the blonde up, setting her on the shoulders "Were you jealous when she first became part of the family?" Lucy is surprised by the sudden action at first before smirking "How would you know?" "Lucy," Miraya gives a pointy look "You were jealous of me for a while, remember?" "Urgh, t-that is true" "Ehehehe."

Akeno watches Miraya and Lucy, examining their interaction. A feeling of jealousness swirls around her heart. Even after the amount of time Akeno has been living with the Makashas. She has never truly been able to bond with Lucy in a way she would have liked. Bond of sisters that she shares with Asia. Seeing how close Miraya and Lucy is right in front of her creates a stinging pain in the heart. Just like towards the selective people, Lucy is also opened to Miraya. She has never truly opened up to Akeno.

"... Wow, that is a Pinata," Nawin stares at the colorful donkey that's held up by a string which is tied around a tree branch. "This is actually Riser-san's idea," Misako inform, stopping on the right "Really?" Nawin raise an eyebrow in surprise "Ahaha, yep! He really thought about it" "Heh, that guy does have his moments."

"Thanks," Nawin takes the bat with a smile. "Give it a nice whack, Big bro!" Lucy cheers, comfortably seated on the Culdos's shoulder. "What do you usually put in those?" Valerie questions as she is foreign to this concept. "Mostly candies," Koneko answer, eyeing solely on the Pinata. Waiting like a predator that's prepared to bolt forward and snatch as much of the food as possible before anyone else has the chance.

Rias chuckles at her Rook's adorable expression and simply pets the girl's head. Of course, the gesture gets overlooked as Koneko's attention is utterly focused on the Pinata.

Miraya moves back when seeing her friend is getting ready to swing. Gripping the bat firmly, Nawin stares at the Pinata then bend his ankles down a bit. "I will be disappointed if you can't break that in one swing," Miraya inserts "What makes you say that?" Misako asks "Well, when we were young I tend to be the stronger one when I didn't succumb to sickness."

'Uh-huh,' Everyone sees Nawin's eyes sharpen by the Culdos's comment. With one deep breath, Nawin blasts the baseball bat forward with such a force behind it, it causes a gust of wind to explode around him. The bat contacts the Pinata and the string immediately snaps. With no line to keep it in place, the Pinata goes flying through the air.

Everyone watches with mouth agape as the Pinata travels over the Hyoudou's backyard then another, and another, and another, until it settles inside a large tree in an unknown neighbor's garden. Then what happens next is something from a kid's dream. Rain of candies starts falling from the sky. "Candy!" Koneko goes bolting off to fetch all the ones that are landing on the Makasha's backyard while everyone else is staring at the scene onwards. Watching the rest of the candies falling into the neighbor's property.

"Strong enough?" Nawin turns to Miraya with a smirk, resting the bat on his right shoulder. Instead of answering, Miraya brings her right hand up and flicks her friend on his forehead. Nawin flinch at the sudden action, though barely felt any pain considering his body durability is stronger than that of humans. "What's that for?!" "For going overboard, darling" Miraya sighs "I knew you were strong. I was just teasing you." "Big Bro got a bit sensitive there," Lucy insert with a teasing smirk. Knowing her brother's takes the Culdos's words very serious at times. Nawin clicks his tongue and looks away as a faint blush built on his cheeks. Lucy giggles at this while Miraya simply wears a soft smile.

"Asia-chan," Koneko stops in front of her blind friend, carrying two handfull of candies "Bring your hands forward" "Ok!" Everyone watches on with a bright smile as Koneko gives a fair amount of candy to her best friend then split the rest with Gasper. Valerie feels immense relief and joy seeing that her dear friend is indeed in safe hands. Having friends that will watch his back without hesitation.

"With that over," Rias dust her hands "Let's head back inside. It is getting hot out here!" "I second that!" Lucy agrees. "Alright then," Nawin sets the bat on the grass "You all go in and grab some water. I want to stay out here for a moment with Valerie" "Why?" Akeno asks "Just catching up. Is that what you want, Valerie?" Nawin shift to the Princess "Yes, I would like that" she replies with a smile.

Everyone complies at the request and respectively head back into the house to give the two friend privacy. "Sorry to have kept you waiting for this private talk," Nawin first speak as he sets the bat on the tree. "You noticed I wanted to speak to you?" Valerie asks "You were sending me the looks," "Ahahah. Sorry about that, but I will have to be leaving shortly."

Nawin turns around and gives a questionable look "So soon?" "Unfortunately," Valerie takes a few steps forward to stand right in front of the Makasha. She gives an apologetic smile "Even after my brothe-" "He's not your brother," Nawin inserts with a sharp tone. Surprising the Tepes, as she sees that dark expression appears on her friend's face. "The stuff that he did to you... No brother would or should ever do that to their sister, Valerie."

With a reassuring smile and soften eyes, Valerie brings her arms forward to grasps Nawin's hands, giving them a comforting squeeze. "Thank you, Nawin. Saying that shows you really care... And you are right. I lost my brother in Marius a long time ago." Nawin exhales to calm himself before offering a faint smile, firmly holding the Tepes's soft hands.

Valerie continues. "Even after fixing the chaos Marius left behind. There's still much work to be done in Vamhaven. Primary toward the two factions. There is a plan of creating an entirely new and bigger city which will allow every vampire in Vamhaven to live there as one and in harmony." "That's great news," Nawin comment "It truly is! And of course, I want to be helping with that. I don't want the Queen to carry all of that on her shoulders. So, I have recently been appointed as one of the ambassadors to handle this new project."

Nawin couldn't be happier for his friend. He can see just how much joy this news is to Valerie. She desperately wants to move past the grim war that recently transpired that left a scar in Vamhaven and focus on the bright future for her people. He admires that very much. The determination Valerie holds to craft a brighter future.

Giving a supportive smile, Nawin looks at the Tepes in the eyes. "You will do a wonderful job, Valerie. Your heart is in the right place, and you are burning with determination. I can see it clearly in your eyes." Valerie can't contain the grin breaking on her face. "Your support really means a lot, Nawin! Hehehe, you got me even more fired up" "Ahaha, I'm glad to hear that."

"... Though," Valerie's smile slightly wanes as she releases the Makasha's hands "With that good news there tend to be a bad one following it..." "We won't be seeing much of you since you are going to be busy with these tasks?" Nawin ventures and gets a stiff nod as a response. "Hey," Nawin sets his hand on the Tepes's shoulder, making her look at him "Don't be so down about that. Nothing is stopping me or the rest from visiting you too. So, even if you can't come here... We can go to Transmere to visit" "You will?!" "Ahaha, what's stopping me?"

Overcome with joy, Valerie hops forward to give Nawin another warm embrace. "I can't wait to see you again at Vamhaven under a much better circumstance!" Valerie pulls back and grins "I will give you a tour around!" "I can't wait," Nawin replies with a warm smile "I definitely did not have the luxury of exploring the place when I was last there."

Staring at the Makasha's smile for a moment, Valerie finds herself blushing ever faintly before giving a bashful grin. "W-well, I think I should return inside to say my goodbyes to Gasper and the rest." Nawin nods "Alright, let's head in" "Mhm-hmm."

"By the way," Valerie speaks up as the two head for the door "Miraya is a really nice person, Nawin. I had a blast getting to know her today." The two stop by the door. Nawin closes his eyes as the smile on his face grows "Yeah... She's really special." "I can see why you spoke so highly of her when we were in the garden. She has this certain charm of her that really shines to anyone that meets her for the first time. An amiable and considerate individual. She clearly thinks the world of you."

Nawin opens his eyes and nod. "Thank you, Valerie. I am happy that you have gotten along well with her" "Ehehe. I honestly would find it hard to believe if there is a person in your group that isn't getting along with her" "Ahaha, that's true."

Shortly after Valerie announced her departure. Everyone gathered around the front yard to see her off and wish her luck on her journey back home. "... I like her," Miraya informs as she leans back on the front door, watching Valerie giving Gasper a hug. Nawin stands next to her and carries a smile when hearing the comment. "Yeah... She reminds me of you a bit" "Ehehe, so I've been told" "She told you?" "Mhm-hmm. And I can see why. She's a great friend to have, Nawin. I'm happy for you. Having this many great friends" "I'm glad you are getting along well with all of them."

"Well," Miraya sends a teasing smirk "With you not being a needy boy anymore. I now actually have a chance to get to know people instead of being with you all the time" "Oh shut it, you" Nawin retorts, shaking his head. "Ehehe," Miraya gives a playful shove on the shoulder "I am just joking. I enjoyed every second I was with you during those times, Nawin. I would not change it for the world." "Yeah..." a warm smile form on the Makasha's face "I would neither, Miraya. You were... The only friend I needed back then."

"Well," Valerie stops in front of the two after saying goodbyes to the rest. "I'll be off now," she says with a bittersweet smile. Nawin uncrosses his arms to give a warm embrace to the Tepes, who whole-heartedly accept it. "Stay safe, Valerie. I'll see you again" "Thank you, Nawin. You take care too." The two separate from each other. "It's been fun getting to know you, Valerie," Miraya offers a hand "Though, it is a shame that it was short" "Even though it was short. I still had fun spending time with you, Miraya" Valerie replies, taking the hand and shaking it.

With all her goodbyes said, Valerie exits the front yard and glance back one more time to see everyone waving at her. She gives a beaming smile before walking to the east. Even though she hasn't made herself known. The group can sense Elmenhilde's mana in that direction including a couple of more other magic signatures that must belong to bodyguards. No doubt all of them assigned to escort Valerie back to her home safely.

With Valerie returning to her home. The rest of the group decided to just relax back in the house for the rest of the day. Away from the extreme heat and instead in the air-conditioned living room. Some are seated on the beanbags, others on the couches. All are watching some comedy movies playing on the large television.

During their relaxing moment, Nawin had chosen to spend time with Akeno and show her deserving affectionate. So, the two share the couch together as they watched the movie. Which brings nothing but happiness for the Himejima. Whenever Akeno shares these kinds of moments with her lover. Nothing in the world could wipe that smile off her face. All the worries in her heart are washed away.

But, as Akeno was enjoying her time with Nawin. Miraya is seated across on another couch with Misako. Even though she was focused on the movie. The Culdos couldn't help but glance toward the couple. Though, it is not one out of jealousy. Far from it. It is one of concern. In truth, Miraya was glad that she was able to spend some time with Rias and Akeno today instead of with Nawin. She wanted to get to know the two better, and luckily the opportunity raised.

It became apparent early on to Miraya that Akeno is intentionally trying to keep the interaction with her to a minimum. And the only time they spoke to one another is when it involved Nawin. But any other topic it seems the Himejima treats her like she isn't present. Miraya doesn't see any hate intention behind the Himejima's reason, so she hasn't taken it as a personal offense. But it is a bit annoying to her. Miraya rid of the idea of bringing this topic up to Nawin as it will only stir trouble. She doesn't want to bring problems down on the couple.

All Miraya can do now is hope that Akeno would open up to her soon. Because she knew if Nawin caught wind of this behavior. Miraya worries that it will hurt his relationship with Akeno. And even though she doesn't want this to come to fruition. Akame's words from last night are starting to be a possibility. For Nawin's sake, Miraya hopes that won't be the case.

Next Day

"Will you be ok?" Akame stares at Misako with concern. The Ichiru's body is littered with cuts and bruises she received from their training session. A session that was requested by Misako herself, and the girls been training all of Sunday. Giving a bright grin, Misako nods "I am fine!" she shouts, then promptly hunch forward and release a deep sigh "Everything hurts."

Akame chuckles at her friend's antics before giving a soft smile. "You did well today, Misako. You got through your workout routine without difficulty, and your hand-to-hand combat shows significant improvement." "Really?!" Misako leans back up, her eyes sparkling. "Yes," Akame nod "I would never sugarcoat it. I state the truth... You are improving, Misako."

"Hehe! It's thanks to you, Akame-chan!" Misako beams "You are such a great teacher! Always patient with me and always give great advice" "I'm sure you are exaggerating a bit" "Nope! You are amazing." Akame simply chuckles and nod "Thank you, Misako. I honestly do have fun in these training sessions... I'm positive Nawin-kun will be happy with your growth" "You think so?" "Positive."

"Now," Akame throws the Black Thunder up to the air where a portal rips through existence and swallows it. "I think it is best we return to our home. Both of us need a good night sleep after today" "You said it!" Misako giggles. After bidding goodbyes, the Knight and Bishop go on their separate ways since they both live in an entirely opposite direction.

Misako walks through the quiet and dimly lit side street. She breathes in the cold night air into her still aching lungs before exhaling it. "A shame that Nawin-kun couldn't join us," Misako release a pout at the thought of her King's absent. She texted him that if he was free to visit her training for a while, but he texted back informing that he is spending time with Akeno today.

"Quite a shame indeed. It would have done you a big favor if he was with you right now" a giggling voice comment in the shadows. Then, a fade blue magic barrier form around the area to encase the Ichiru within. Misako snaps her head up to see Farah emerging from the shadows. There's that innocent smile plastered on her face, but Misako can't help to shiver at that sight. There's malice behind that facade of a smile.

"W-what are you doing here, Farah-san?" Misako asks with a firm tone, trying to cover the nervousness. The mysterious girl merely giggles and skips forward until she is entirely out of the shadows and now stand underneath a lamp post. "Simple, really" Farah tilts her head "I am here to capture you." Misako is stunned by the bold and out of nowhere comment. She did not expect such words from the raven-haired girl. "W-why?" "It's really nothing personal" Farah states, lifting her arms to the sides "I actually like you, Misako-san. But, I care dearly for someone else, and I don't like disappointing her."

Farah stretches her right arm out. "So, be a sweety and come with me peacefully, hmm?" Misako takes one step back, and that smile on Farah's face leaves so quick like it was never there, to begin with. "The hard way then," her voice loses all of its sweetness and replace with sharpness. Before Misako can take another step, a powerful invisible force comes crashing down on her. She drops to her knees and gasps from the shock.

"Don't do that," Farah speaks when seeing Misako generating mana into the black ring "Call your dear Black Flash and someone else will be suffering" "W-what are y-you talking a-a-about?!" Misako utters through the gritting teeth and forces hard to have her head be up to looks at Farah. Seeing fade blue aura emitting around her.

"Call him and…" Silver comes from the back like a ghost, which utterly catches Miraya off-guard as she did not sense any presence from behind the entire time. Silver opens the phone in her hand and sets it down right below the Ichiru's face. Still being pushed down by the dense pressure from Farah's raw mana. Misako carefully and slowly moves her head down so she won't damage her neck with rapid movement. When her sight is set on the screen, and her heart freezes momentarily, her eyes widen all the way.

On the phone's display shows a picture of Miraya tied on a chair. Her head is hung down to signal she is in an unconscious state. Light bruises can be seen littered around her face. "N-No," Misako whispers "Y-You!" she looks up at the twins with horrified eyes "N-Not h-her! Y-you ca-can't h-" Misako gasp in agony when the pressure increases which sends her plunging entirely onto the asphalt.

"Ahhh..." Farah drops one knee in front of Misako and clenches a handful of the pink lock before pulling her head up. "That's the reaction we wanted to see. I wasn't completely confident with the plan of kidnapping that mere human, but Ivory said she is very important to the Black Flash. Thank you for proving her right, Misako-san" Farah state with a bright smirk returning to her face.

"P-please," Misako looks with pleading eyes "D-don't b-bring him back t-to this w-world... N-Nawin-kun... H-he is hap-" Silver stomps her right feet down to Misako's head, planting the girl's face into the ground. Effectively knocking the Ichiru out cold. "Huh," Farah chuckles, releasing the hair and turn to her sister "A bit harsh there, dear sister" "She talked too much" Silver retorts.

Farah returns to look at Misako and see fresh blood already littering the asphalt. Leaking from the sizable cut on the forehead. "Well," Farah dust her hands and stands up "Our job is done. Now all is left is Ivory's part." Silver bends down to harshly pick up the Ichiru, throwing her over the shoulder. "Let's move" "Okie dokie!" Farah hops back and bends over to fetch the phone on the ground. She brings it up to look at the photo once more. A smirk creeps onto her face "Ehehe, things are about to get hectic tonight."
